Speaker 1 (00:03):
Wakem It gets my day going and makes me laugh.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
I love it. Mac and Schmitty in the Morning on
Star one of five point seven Moring Schmitty, Hey, good morning,
Welcome into your Tuesday, the very first one of twenty
twenty five.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
This is the last day I can say that I promised.

Speaker 4 (00:21):
I was wondering how long we were going to take
this one. And it's a hard one too. You guys,
I don't know what it is about Tuesday, but especially
if you had.

Speaker 5 (00:29):
Some time off.

Speaker 4 (00:29):
Oh boy, it's like that second day back where your
body's really feeling like.

Speaker 5 (00:34):
I don't know, do we have to pay our bills?

Speaker 3 (00:36):
We do?

Speaker 5 (00:36):
And that's my rall.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
At it this morning. You know, Yeah, yesterday hit me
like a ton of bricks. Coming back after a bit
of time off was definitely a long one. But my kids,
and like so many of us, had our kids first
day back after the break, and in true fashion, I
have an eleven year old daughter, nine year old son,
and they handled it completely different. My daughter, how's your day?
It was fine. It was like every other day. Dad,

(00:57):
ooh okay, all right, came back, all right, I said, Oh,
it's the greatest I got to see blankety blanket. He
got this for Christmas and I told him I got this,
like it was just, you know, the complete opposite.

Speaker 4 (01:07):
So that was my six and a half year old.
We did this and this, and we got recess and I.

Speaker 5 (01:10):
Really missed missus.

Speaker 4 (01:11):
Johnson told her that, and then she said that she
missed me and we made this an art and like,
I know, I just isn't it so exciting that your
kids go to fun schools that they love that and
have that vibe.

Speaker 6 (01:21):
Movies, music and all the gossip in one place.

Speaker 7 (01:24):
It's the celebritiescoop on Star one oh five point seven.

Speaker 4 (01:28):
Well maybe not as long as it took Brad Pitt
and Angelina Jolie, but Ben Afleck and Jennifer Lopez have
settled their divorce and in a month and a half
they will officially call their marriage quits. Each walks away
with what they individually acquired during the marriage. The money
Ben earned from his various movie projects. His same goes

(01:50):
for what Jalo earned during their two year marriage, and
neither will pay spousal support to the other. A big
part of this, Ben will keep his steak in the
hugely successful production company he started, Artists equity alongside Matt Damon.
As for j Loo, she is keeping everything from her
own major projects, including ownership like Atlas, The Mother, Shotgun, Wedding,

(02:12):
and Marry Me. They also reached an agreement on the
sixty one million dollar house they bought, but those terms
are being kept confidential. The house is on the market.

Speaker 3 (02:22):
Sounds like it's pretty amicable.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
I mean, at least on a financial legal end of it,
which is good to see because himmy and they've both.

Speaker 4 (02:28):
Been married and a point where they're like, oh, let's
make sure this prenup is tight and we are.

Speaker 5 (02:32):
Good to go.

Speaker 3 (02:33):
Jalo's got a divorce lawyer on speed dial at this point.

Speaker 4 (02:35):
Dana White from the UFC is joining the Meta board
of directors. That's right, the new face coming to Facebook.
White making the announcement yesterday, saying, while being on a
board has never really been his cup of tea, Mark
Zuckerberg and him have been close, and he's really excited.
The fifty five year old explaining his love for social media,

(02:57):
artificial intelligence and the importance it has on the future.
That was huge opportunity for him, saying, there is nothing
I love more than building brands, and I look forward
to helping take Meta to the next level. Now, according
to zuck they have massive opportunities. They are looking ahead
to the future on with Facebook, AI, wearables, the future

(03:18):
of social media. All of that will be achieved thanks
to the board and their vision. And he said White
has done such great things at the UFC, he cannot
wait to have him on board at Meta.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
I don't have a problem with UFC or Dana White, really.
I think it's interesting to see Mark Zuckerberg going from
like the world's most notorious computer nerd to this new
like UFC fighter, sort of ba.

Speaker 3 (03:41):
Guy he wants to be now. I think it's kind
of been in.

Speaker 5 (03:44):
The hexagon a few times.

Speaker 4 (03:45):
But him and Dana have been friends apparently for years,
which I didn't fully realize. Finally, let's give it up
for Post Malone, who did an unbelievable Christmas miracle. Fans
are calling it tipping unsuspecting servers thousands of dollars after
crossing paths over the holiday. One in particular, he stopped

(04:05):
by the rail Yard Bar in Houston on Christmas Eve.
That's when he met single mom Renee Brown, who was
working as a bartender. Renee talked with music mayhem and
said she was having a really hard time with her
nine year old said that she was doing as much
as she could, working as much as they could, but
she was having a really difficult time giving her daughter

(04:27):
the Christmas that she deserved. So after having a couple bevies,
he actually tipped her twenty thousand dollars.

Speaker 5 (04:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (04:37):
According to this unbelievably thankful server, Brown said, it put
me in a position to at least be able to
get back and forth to work, pay up on my rent,
even save a bit. I'm trying to start up my
own business, and I don't have to continue working two jobs,
which also means I can spend more time with my daughter.
She said this was truly a blessing, blessing as if

(04:58):
the visit alone wasn't out absolutely amazing. A twenty thousand
dollars tip is truly life changing to my family.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
Don't let the fifteen or show face tattoos for you.
That's a cool guy right there.

Speaker 4 (05:08):
All right, all of your celeb scoop at West Michigan
Star dot com.

Speaker 8 (05:13):
Sometimes I get a good feeling feeling good on Stylino,
Fine point seven, Mac and Schmidty with you this morning
and this is a bittersweet one here that I thought
was pretty important is on Saturday, President Joe Biden signed
a bill to rename.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
The Comstock Park Post Office the Captain Miguel Justin Nava
Post Office.

Speaker 3 (05:33):
Now, if you don't recognize that name.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
Nava was one of the five US Marines that lost
his life in a helicopter crash outside of San Diego
in February of last year, left behind a wife and son.
He grew up here in Comstock Park. His mom was
a longtime employee at the comstock Park Public Schools. He
graduated there in twenty thirteen. And now we'll have this
tribute to him for generations to come.

Speaker 3 (05:56):
A US Rep.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
Hillary Skolton of Grand Rapid Spawn TH's the bill said
in a statement, What's what an incredibly meaningful way to
start the year. President Biden signing this bill into law
means so much to our community and Captain Nova's family,
a father, a husband, and a son. He was the
absolute best of US. Captain Nova's tragic passing and a
helicopter training exercise last February devastated our West Michigan community.

(06:19):
Renaming the post office in his honor now solidifies his
legacy for generations to come. It's been an honor to
work with this family and to pass this bill. I
look forward to sharing details on when the post office
will officially be renamed soon. But how awesome is it
to see one of our local heroes who volunteered to
put his neck out for us getting this honor posthumous.

Speaker 4 (06:40):
Lye Shkelly svent Price, Like this is exactly what we do,
all right? I know that the Lions beat the Vikings,
very big deal Sunday night. I think this is better.
We know all about Hutch's heroes. That's Aiden Hutchinson and
his incredible organization looking and supporting kids that are fighting
some pretty.

Speaker 5 (06:57):
Tough battles well.

Speaker 4 (06:59):
Sunday night, it was the very first Lions game for
Caden Strong.

Speaker 5 (07:05):
Eighteen year old Caden, born.

Speaker 4 (07:06):
On Valentine's Day, was diagnosed with hr HS that's hypoplastic
right heart syndrome and placed on a donor list. He
received a heart transplant at sixty nine days old. Things
were going great, but last July, Cayden was diagnosed with
PTLD that's a lymphoma specific to Oregon transplant patients. Because

(07:30):
of those immune suppressive drugs that they have to take.
He'd been through two unsuccessful chemo treatments t cell replacement
therapy and radiation still progressive and started another chemo therapy
treatment right before Christmas. Well, Aiden had reached out, Hayden
met him. The two have talked. Cayden is an amazing
kid that has the best mantra, be strong, be courageous.

(07:54):
And what an awesome time Sunday night to get to
his first game at Ford Field. Pretty sweet game to
go to and then get surprised by Aiden on the field.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (08:13):
Yeah, that was Caden's entire family that was invited to
the game.

Speaker 5 (08:17):
It's pretty incredible.

Speaker 4 (08:18):
The pictures go ahead, put on that waterproof muscaa because
I'm posting them to our Instagram at West Michigan Star Feeling.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
Good brought to you by Overhead Garage Door Company, reminding
you to open your day positively. We'll do it again
coming up this morning. Nine's wanting here on Star win
all five point seven.

Speaker 6 (08:32):
Movies, music, and all the gossip in one place.

Speaker 7 (08:36):
It's the celebritiescoop on Star one oh five point seven.

Speaker 5 (08:40):
Oh it was true.

Speaker 4 (08:42):
Indeed, Zendaiya and actor Tom Holland are engaged if you
saw that big old rock on her hand at the
Golden Globes. Sources say that the Spider Man star pop
the question that week between Christmas and New Year's in
a very intimate setting. He was at one of Zindeia's
family homes in the US. H love stuff and actually

(09:05):
it really wasn't a huge, over the top thing, very romantic,
very intimate. The family wasn't even there, just a sweet
moment between Tom and Zendeia. We're also learning that this
proposal had been planned for months.

Speaker 5 (09:21):
Really cool.

Speaker 4 (09:22):
Tom actually met with Sindeia's dad asked for her hand
in marriage. This was a super important step for Tom.
He's a very traditional guy and felt like it was
very important to get the family's blessing. The family is overjoyed,
so as to say they absolutely adore Tom and think
he's an absolute class act. Now when this wedding will

(09:42):
be happening, not for a while. The two reportedly have
a ton of projects coming up, so it's going to
be months and months before the wedding planning even begins.

Speaker 2 (09:54):
I mean, I like these two, and you know what,
Tom Hollins, you're that short king that everybody else can
know I look up to I mean two just super talented,
rich and famous, and you can too. Land one of
the most gorgeous women on the planet.

Speaker 7 (10:08):
All right.

Speaker 4 (10:08):
Britney Spears is said to have a very hands on
role in the making of this highly anticipated biopic based
on her best selling memoir The Woman and Me. Director
John m Two, by the way, the director that did Wicked,
So everybody's really excited about this, talked with Entertainment tonight,
confirming Brittany's going to be a huge part of this project.

Speaker 5 (10:30):
Otherwise he wouldn't be doing it.

Speaker 3 (10:32):
She's going to be very involved.

Speaker 2 (10:33):
We're not.

Speaker 3 (10:34):
I haven't really started anything fully yet.

Speaker 1 (10:36):
We are so so, but she will be very involved
in this. I have ideas and things of an approach
and things, but we it's very very early now.

Speaker 5 (10:46):
Who would play Brittany.

Speaker 4 (10:48):
That's also been something a lot of fans have talked about.
There's been names floated, like Sabrina Carpenter or one of
the new pop girlies we've been seeing in the last
year or so. John says he sees the fancast.

Speaker 1 (11:00):
I've seen all the fan cast hands and all this stuff,
and I always take those into consider it because maybe
there's a good idea out there, but we'll have to see.
We'll have to see what the approach of the movie
is before we know who's right for it.

Speaker 3 (11:10):
But I'm open for anything.

Speaker 5 (11:11):
And could be a newcomer. This is really interesting.

Speaker 4 (11:14):
Brittany's formal former personal assistant wants Emma Roberts to play Brittany.

Speaker 2 (11:20):
I can kind of see that a little bit there.
I hope it's somebody that you don't already have a
preconceived notion with.

Speaker 5 (11:26):
Us, John Cho So we are in excellent hands, that's true. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (11:29):
And finally, Adriane Brody is trying to clear up speculation
that he is banned from ever performing for Saturday Night
Live again.

Speaker 5 (11:39):
So the Brutalist Star.

Speaker 4 (11:41):
Actually he got his Golden Globe on Sunday Night, which
is when this clip resurfaced. He hosted an episode back
in May of two thousand and three where he did
a sketch controversially wearing a dreadlock wig and then speaking
in a Jamaican accent in order to introduced the musical
guest that night, which was Sean Paul. But in an

(12:04):
interview with Vulture, Brody is denying the rumor, saying then again,
I've also never been invited back on, so I don't
know what to tell you. I actually might be banned
now that you bring it up, he said. While the
bit was his idea, the show gave him the costume,
and he said, honestly, they were all pretty shocked from

(12:25):
me pitching, but at the time liked it. I just
don't think Lauren Michaels was super happy with me embellishing
the way that I did.

Speaker 3 (12:32):
I don't think so either.

Speaker 2 (12:32):
But you know what, I don't think he's the first
one to do an absolutely ridiculously off color accent on
Saturday Night Live and just have to live with the
results after one.

Speaker 4 (12:42):
Which is no more Saturday Night Live. I mean, two
thousand and three was a while ago. He's never been
invited back. All of your celeb scoop at West Michigan start.

Speaker 3 (12:50):
Good Morning too.

Speaker 2 (12:50):
It's Mack and Schmidty and I heard you Schmitty. And
out there somewhere right now is a parent struggling to
get their kid to put on what they need in wintertime.

Speaker 5 (12:58):
A parent not, but there are hundreds.

Speaker 4 (13:01):
Pretty much every one of you listening has probably waged
the winter battle. What do you fight your kids on
the most to wear in winter. One of my Facebook
friends I know he listens. Christopher put up just this
prime status back to school yesterday when it's twenty nine
degrees out. But your ten year old insists that he

(13:22):
wears shorts. Yep, and there's the picture, full winter coat,
shorts up to the midside. Was there leggings underneath the shorts?

Speaker 9 (13:31):
No?

Speaker 2 (13:31):
So that's what my son's way of getting around this
is he thinks leggings equal pants because kids in his grade,
hey with that, with shorts over topics where it's like
thinking that tights.

Speaker 3 (13:40):
Are going to keep you warm. I disagree.

Speaker 4 (13:43):
We've got fleece lined tights. So don't even get me
started on that, I think. But like that's an athlete. Look,
I mean when you watch like football players practicing and stuff,
I'm good with leggings under shorts.

Speaker 5 (13:52):
No, this is bear leg in like frigid temperature.

Speaker 3 (13:56):
That's my daughter's move.

Speaker 4 (13:58):
And I gotta tell you it's so funny because I'm
just getting to that point with my kids. Will's pretty
good about it, Like he enjoys being outside and he
knows that it's gonna be cold, So I don't even
have to ask him, he's coat, snow pants, He's good
to go. My daughter doesn't even want to wear boots sometimes,

(14:18):
and then you get them all done up, then you
got to take everything off because she's in a car seat.
Can't wear a big poofy coat in a car seat.
And then by the time we get to our destination,
she's taken the boots off. So I'm like, you know what, fine,
I'm gonna walk into myer with you and your socks,
and I'm just gonna hold your coat out so everybody
knows we left the house with the coat. I am
not an irresponsible parent, but you refuse to wear it.

(14:40):
And so I posted this on our Facebook and sure enough,
coat was like the biggest thing Kathy is listening in
Union City, one thousand percent the coat.

Speaker 5 (14:49):
It is not cool to wear a coat.

Speaker 4 (14:51):
And I was talking to Chris about this last night
and he just looked at me and he's like, well,
that's the pot calling the kettle black.

Speaker 5 (14:57):
And I said, fine, he goes. You did not wear
a coat.

Speaker 4 (15:00):
Oh your entire four years at Grand Valley, I never
once walked to class with you, got on the bus
with you, like hung out in the dorm, not once
from October to May?

Speaker 5 (15:13):
Did you have a proper winter coat?

Speaker 4 (15:15):
He's like, you wore American eagle clogs in like twelve
inches of snow.

Speaker 2 (15:20):
All of this rushing back to your were lifted and
I was feeling very seen right now.

Speaker 4 (15:24):
I said, I don't think so, and then he decided
to snapchat some of my best friends, and my lovely
friend Megan was like, oh, Lauren doesn't wear a coat.
She'd refused, never, never in my life. I saw her
wear a Costco coat once and I took a picture
because I was like, this is shocking.

Speaker 5 (15:38):
Are you feeling all right? So I guess I'm part
of the problem.

Speaker 4 (15:41):
But it's so frustrating when you're like, we're gonna go
somewhere and you're gonna start complaining five minutes later because
you're cold.

Speaker 2 (15:47):
The thing that drives me the most nuts is even
when I can convince my kids you have to wear
this stuff right now, they lose it. They will leave
their coats places, they'll leave their boots everywhere. Don't get
me started on gloves. My son Connor is the Vin
Diesel the glove game because he lives his life one.

Speaker 3 (16:02):
Glove at a time.

Speaker 2 (16:03):
Smitty he can never have both of them in the
same place at the same time. They're They're not even
the same zip code. I feel like after he leaves
the house with them.

Speaker 4 (16:10):
So I had a friend of mine email her son's
teacher and she said, Hey, I'm not being a bad parent,
but I'm done. And I said this to him. So
he will show up tomorrow and he will not have
two gloves, and he will not have his hat because
he does not know where they are. And if he
needs to sit inside for recess, you have my full
permission to put him in a study hall.

Speaker 3 (16:30):
It's a mom, who's hat enough?

Speaker 5 (16:32):
D Have you hit that point yet?

Speaker 4 (16:36):
What do you battle your kids on the most when
it comes to winter clothes? Six one six, four five
eight one oh five seven or send us a talk
back inside our iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 3 (16:47):
Someone right now's vain is just like pulsating in their forehead.

Speaker 5 (16:50):
Sho shut in twenty in the morning.

Speaker 4 (16:52):
There's no way it's peace in your house right now
because this cold outside.

Speaker 2 (16:56):
Smitty's so salty.

Speaker 3 (16:58):
Yeah, but we don't mind.

Speaker 2 (16:59):
It's like popping the bag of vegetables before you put
it in the microwave. You just pierced a little bit,
let the steam out, and everything is great after that.

Speaker 4 (17:06):
I think a lot of people would agree with me
on this, and I'm not trying to be a massive buzzkill,
but when I hear these little stats that people share,
it doesn't make me feel better. I follow this account
on Instagram Upworthy science Okay, and they posted yesterday, I
don't know who needs to hear this, but in just
seventy days, the sun will set at seven pm?

Speaker 5 (17:29):
Hang in there.

Speaker 4 (17:30):
How does seventy days make you feel better? That's so
much longer than I thought it was, right.

Speaker 2 (17:38):
So your your complaint is not that you know, like
right there, but the information is there. It's that it's
so far out. What they think is an uplifting post
is actually a jagger. It is your heart.

Speaker 4 (17:48):
It's better to say I don't know who needs to
hear this. You're gonna be dark and depressed for seventy
more days and then the sun will start setting at
seven pm.

Speaker 2 (17:56):
Would you prefer they'd be more vague? Should they have
said in just over an How would have that made
you fin Yes?

Speaker 4 (18:01):
That's so seventy days feels like I'm going to be
dead before I see the sun at seven.

Speaker 3 (18:06):
Again in the delivery. It's all in the delivery, s.

Speaker 2 (18:09):
Pretty so stalky.

Speaker 6 (18:14):
Eedies music and all the gossip in one place.

Speaker 7 (18:17):
It's the celebrities goop on Star one oh five point seven.

Speaker 4 (18:22):
Well actress Aubrey Plaza breaking her silence on her husband's
sudden death. Director Jeff Bena, as we reported yesterday, was
found by an assistant in his La home, died by
suicide at just forty seven, Aubrey calling it an unimaginable
tragedy that two had been married since twenty twenty one

(18:43):
after dating for almost a decade. In her first public
comments on the loss, Aubrey and their families added, we
are deeply grateful to everyone who has offered support. Please
respect our privacy during this time. Of course, Aubrey skipped
the Golden Globebes she was supposed to present Sunday night,
this statement coming out yesterday afternoon, as well as that

(19:05):
reminder that if you or someone you know is struggling
or in crisis, you can always call or text nine
eight eight or chat at nine to eight eight lifeline
dot org. It's just such a sad story all around.

Speaker 3 (19:19):
Really is forty seven years old now.

Speaker 4 (19:22):
Skip Bayless, longtime television sportscaster, is accused of making repeated
unwanted advances and then offering one point five million dollars
to have an intimate relationship with a former Fox Sports hairstylist.
The lawsuit, filed in LA accuses Bayless, who was then

(19:43):
a Fox Sports host, of trying to pressure plaintive Noise
Faraji into a relationship, allegedly offering her one and a
half million after she told him of a cancer scare
back in twenty twenty one. So she did officially and
publicly identify herself in the lawsuit. Fox Sports is now

(20:05):
saying we take these allegations seriously and have no further
comment at this time given this pending litigation. An attorney
for Bayliss has not officially issued a response yet either.

Speaker 5 (20:16):
This is interesting.

Speaker 4 (20:17):
The suit alleges that she worked both on a part
time at full time basis at Fox starting in twenty
twelve until she was fired last year. She began working
with Bayliss in twenty sixteen while he was on the
show Undisputed. After requesting weekly haircuts, Bayless began initiating unwanted touching.
He would put his body against certain parts of her body,

(20:41):
he would try to kiss her, he would make very
inappropriate comments. This is just kind of the tip of
the iceberg on this lawsuit. It's interesting because Shannon Sharp,
who of course was a longtime co host of Shannon
of Skip bayliss Excuse Me, has gone on a record
during his podcast to say he had no idea this

(21:01):
was going on.

Speaker 3 (21:02):
Yeah, now he got none new to me, So there's
nothing to address.

Speaker 9 (21:05):
I don't know why everybody keep if you notice everybody's
posted it. They got me in the forty two pages.
They don't mention nothing by Shanna shop did anything, but
y'all want to get clicks, so y'all mentioned me.

Speaker 4 (21:16):
The plaintiff is seeking equitable damages, compensory damages, emotional damages,
punitive damages, and attorney's fees, but the suit also includes
class action allegations that Fox employees weren't paid for all
of their hours worked, or compensated for overtime, or reimbursed
for business expenses.

Speaker 2 (21:36):
Yeah, this pulls in as one of multiple lawsuits as
you were standing there, Smithy, So it'd be interesting to
see whether or not this goes to some sort of
trial or whether Fox is like here's a whole lot
of money. Everyone, let's end this now.

Speaker 4 (21:49):
And finally, you know Jennifer Coolidge, the White Lotus star.

Speaker 5 (21:53):
And American pie star.

Speaker 4 (21:55):
Who's that very very unique voice not her real voice?

Speaker 3 (22:02):
Serious?

Speaker 4 (22:02):
The Internet is melting down over this. So comedian Matt
Friend was a Golden Globes correspondent on the Red Carpet
Sunday Night and actually interviewed Jennifer and then did an
impersonation of her. Listen at the end to her reaction,
people are going, oh my gosh, that's her real voice.

Speaker 3 (22:19):
This is Jennifer Coolidge upter, sipping on a cold break.
Oh god, oh god, it's not bad. It could be worse.

Speaker 2 (22:29):
Oh god, it just I feel like good.

Speaker 3 (22:31):
Do you think it's good?

Speaker 5 (22:32):
Or it's very good? Yeah, you're ramped with Ariana's what
listen again, very good?

Speaker 4 (22:37):
Yeah, you're ramped there with Ariana's completely different.

Speaker 3 (22:41):
Boy, I feel lied to.

Speaker 2 (22:43):
Are you telling me that a world famous actor, Smitty
has been acting this entire time?

Speaker 4 (22:48):
You will say it's very much like Paris Hilton, But
for instance, hey, it's Janey wrote on X I feel bamboozled,
hoodwinked and completely led us stray Jennifer, I can see
the video. I've got it up for you with your
celeb scoop at West Michigan Star dot Com.

Speaker 9 (23:03):
Shot.

Speaker 2 (23:04):
I want to five point seven of these time to battle.
Battle of the Sex is here, Mack and Schmidty with you,
and this one, I'm gonna have you hanging out with
Schmidty at the first home Rise game of this second
season for our newest professional sports team here in West Michigan.

Speaker 4 (23:18):
Yeah, these are the fierce volleyball women our Grand Rapids Rise,
bringing o Maha super Nova's to Vanandel's Sunday Night. This
is gonna be a rematch of the championship game from
last season. It's going to be incredible. You have today's
number one answer, and we're going to get you tickets.
One hundred women surveyed. Why would your spouse be a

(23:41):
bad coworker?

Speaker 2 (23:43):
Ooh, my spouse, Well, because of the power dynamic change.
She's used to be in the boss and so all
of a sudden to be a coworker on equal footing.

Speaker 3 (23:51):
I don't think she can handle that.

Speaker 4 (23:52):
Oh, I think it's cute. You think she'd be on
equal footing. She'd come in here like day two and.

Speaker 5 (23:56):
Be the boss.

Speaker 4 (23:57):
Yeah six one six, four, five eight seven caller seven.
That number one answer scores you Rise tickets. One hundred
women surveyed, why would your spouse be a bad coworker?
Four five eight, one oh five seven.

Speaker 3 (24:12):
O, good morning, star? Who's this? Justin? Justin? Where are
you coming from today? Justin? You know this is are
you married?

Speaker 2 (24:21):
Justin?

Speaker 4 (24:21):
Not married in a relationship?

Speaker 2 (24:23):
In a relationship though, so uh, this is be an
interesting question because it's not necessarily why your partner would
make for a bad coworker. But one hundred women we're
asked the question why would your spouse or partner.

Speaker 3 (24:35):
Make a bad coworker? What do you think? Their top
answer is there? Justin? I think it's that he's messy
or unorganized.

Speaker 2 (24:43):
Messy or unorganized. I can see my wife actually nodding
her head in agreement with you right now. But Justin,
that's actually not on the list of answers. I'm sorry, man,
all right, thanks, thank you, Hi Star.

Speaker 9 (24:55):
Who's this Brandon and Alier Brandon.

Speaker 3 (24:59):
And hello to the Greer family.

Speaker 2 (25:02):
You guys got a shot here at winning Rise tickets
for this weekend? All right, all right, I just got
a good guess from Justin and when one hundred women
were asked why would your spouse make a bad coworker,
he said because they're messy and unorganized, which was a
great guest, but not on the list here.

Speaker 3 (25:18):
So you guys got a chance. What do you think
it is? You want it?

Speaker 9 (25:21):
Bet?

Speaker 6 (25:22):
Yeah, go ahead.

Speaker 3 (25:25):
We figured they might talk too much, talk too much.

Speaker 2 (25:28):
Now wait a second here, did Brandon did you feed
this answer to your daughter? Was this really just your
low key way of saying that your wife talks an
awful lot?

Speaker 9 (25:37):
I love her dearly?

Speaker 2 (25:38):
But yeah, you.

Speaker 3 (25:40):
Know it's good when you start with I love her dearly.
That's the correct answer.

Speaker 2 (25:44):
Guys. You guys are going to go check out the
home opener for our Grand Rapids cries, Grand Rapids Rise
this Sunday night.

Speaker 3 (25:54):
Congrats, we're excited.

Speaker 9 (25:56):
Thank you so much.

Speaker 2 (25:57):
You are very welcome. Of course, we'll do it again tomorrow.
Battle of this actually every weekday eight fifteen here on
Star one O five point seven. You all get humbled
from time to time. But when is an object or
a new thing that you got, maybe just got something
for Christmas like this like my wife did that has
left you baffled as to why you just can't successfully

(26:17):
use something that seems really simple. So many people use
one because schmiddy. For Christmas this year, I got my
wife something she asked for, and it's something that I've
been doing for a long time, and I've been telling
her I wanted her to make the switch. She just
converted to an electric toothbrush.

Speaker 3 (26:36):
Just oh right.

Speaker 2 (26:39):
I've been part of the Church of electric toothbrushes for
many years now and I have told her repeatedly. But
she is very good about her dental hygiene. She is
that dentist dream who's flossing five plus times a week
all of the above, really really careful about her teeth.

Speaker 3 (26:54):
So she never made that switch over.

Speaker 2 (26:56):
Well, I got her this you know, new Sonic Care
whatever that was, and all that kind of stuff, right exactly.
So we went on a little trip, we came back,
and that's when she decided she was going to use
this puppy for the first time. She calls me afterwards
and she goes, hey, I just brushed my teeth with
the Sonic Haaret.

Speaker 3 (27:13):
I was like, oh, how was it. What'd you think?

Speaker 2 (27:14):
It?

Speaker 3 (27:15):
So clean? Right?

Speaker 2 (27:15):
And she goes, yeah, I like it, But how do
you keep the spit and everything in your mouth. I'm like,
I'm sorry, what And she's like, John, I have never
drooled more in my life than when this thing was
in my mouth. She's like, first off, all the vibrating
created a ton of saliva, and my options were either

(27:37):
like spit with it in my mouth, which was super sloppy,
or it was take the toothbrush out of my mouth
and then the stuff sprays all over the place because
of the vibration. She's like, I felt like the biggest
idiot as I was brushing my teeth and couldn't control
the spit coming out of my mouth or the thing.
What am I doing wrong? And I'm like, honey, you

(27:59):
are a college educated, brilliant woman. I should not have
to explain how to brush your teeth, is what. She
just wasn't used to it at all. I'm like, it's good, simple.
You spit with it in your mouth still, and she's
like at the same time, and I'm like, oh yeah,
or you knock it and you take it off and
you just don't leave all sorts of like spit and

(28:20):
go away.

Speaker 5 (28:20):
I turn my button on and off. I've never spit
with it in my mouth.

Speaker 3 (28:23):
Oh you turn the button on and off.

Speaker 2 (28:24):
Absolutely, let's throw off the whole like thirty second quadrant
of your mouth.

Speaker 4 (28:30):
Tim said, I'm very I'm very weird about my teeth.

Speaker 2 (28:34):
So what you're telling me is this is a problem
that you've solved for yourself. And meanwhile, I'm over here
judging my wife, going, uh, honey, you can handle it.

Speaker 5 (28:42):
Election.

Speaker 4 (28:42):
I mean, I don't have a sonic here, but honestly
that I've read reviews that they're intense, so I kind
of feel for her.

Speaker 5 (28:48):
There's probably a lot going on in that mouth.

Speaker 2 (28:51):
Honestly, seeing your wife, seen your spouse struggle to do
something as simple as brushing your teeth and doing it
entails drool pouring down their mouth. It's not a good look.

Speaker 5 (29:01):
I gotta tell you. That's marriage.

Speaker 8 (29:08):
Some down get a good feeling.

Speaker 3 (29:12):
A fine points seven mac, and you'mitt here to get
you feeling good. What's going on?

Speaker 4 (29:15):
Well, we got a bit of a uniform change coming
to the Oakland County Sheriff's office over on the east
side of the state. Like I said, riding high after
that big win against the Vikings, we're gonna see a
little Honolulu blue added to the uniform. Yesterday, Sheriff Mike
Bouchar authorized his staff to wear licensed Lions baseball caps

(29:36):
and beanies in order to promote camaraderie and community spirit.
He said, I believe that our team and the Detroit
Lions have a lot in common. Both are a group
of highly motivated people with grit, determination and a huge
heart who perform at the highest level. Both have faced
huge challenges in their respective professions and yet pulled together

(30:00):
and go out every day ready to.

Speaker 5 (30:03):
Take on all challenges. He said.

Speaker 4 (30:05):
They're inspired and support their lions, and this is a
great way to show it looking good you guys.

Speaker 2 (30:12):
I liked that it was licensed lion gear, like, hey,
we can't have you in any of that knockoff stuff
while you're out on official business.

Speaker 4 (30:17):
Picture's pretty sweet up at West Michigan Star dot com.

Speaker 2 (30:20):
Speaking of lions, this story has gone viral all over
the world because of just how incredible this is. Is
A seven year old boy who went missing in the
lion infested Matthusdona National Park in Zimbabwe got found alive
and well after five days in wilderness, again infested with lions, elephants, hippos,

(30:43):
some of the most deadly animals on the planet, all
in this huge nature preserve and this little boy they
think traveled almost thirty miles inside of this and was fine.
I mean, there was a massive search where they actually
found its footprints after four days of searching, and that's
how they were able to actually find him. His name
is Tino Tendo Padu and they say that he survived

(31:06):
by eating wild fruits that he found. He was digging
holes along dry river banks to find fresh drinking water,
even slept on rocky perches that were surrounded by lions,
elephants in just this unforgiving terrain he was surrounded by.
Zimbabwe officials say it's a true miracle that he survived,
and basically that they didn't expect it. When they were

(31:27):
gotten into day three, they thought it was probably lost.
But the organization that runs the parks there in Zimba
and Zimbabwe said it was the dedication and collaboration of
the search crews and the importance of just making sure
that when you get lost in the wilderness, you know
what to do. Even if a seven year old can
manage to survive in those kind of conditions. All I
kept thinking when I read dish Mitti is I was

(31:49):
waiting for Balu the bear to come out, you know, Bagheera,
and just going trust Christmas Miracle. It's just wild Dog
at the story up Free West, Michigan Star dot Com.
A Feeling Good brought to you by our friends at
