Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is deeper in the den with dangerous day.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Well, this could really throw a wrench in your Halloween plans.
A bunch of sites are claiming aliens could make first
contact today, or at least there's an outside chance of it.
If you're not up on the UFO news. An interstellar
comment from outside the Solar System has been zipping past
us for the last few months. It's only a third
one we've seen, and it's big. Experts think it's about

(00:24):
the size of Manhattan, different than a normal comment. So
the X file crowds thinks it's a mother ship millions
of miles away right now, on the other side of
the Sun. So why is today today? Will Basically it
reaches the closest point to the Sun. If it's aliens,
today's the best day for them to contact us change
course by firing boosters, using the Sun's gravity like a slingshot,

(00:48):
so they know we're watching and they might want to
reach out and say hi, or maybe just destroy us.
A guy at Harvard named Abby Loba has been pushing
the alien theory. He's joked last month that if they're
planning a vacation, go on it before the twenty ninth
it didn't really predict that they'd make first contact today,
just the Internet is exaggerating things. And now it's the

(01:10):
window when he thinks that they might reach out. The
comments spend behind the Sun for the last few weeks.
We won't be able to see it again for a
month or so, so even if it does change course,
we probably won't know for a while. Fans of the
theory think there's a chance the ship might already release
probes and they're on their way. But reality, there's no

(01:31):
reason to think today might be more likely that they
would reach us than any other day. Oh so, what's that?
We we do have some audio, all right, let's grab
this audio. If it is alien technology, this object is
targeting the inner Solar System, and you know it will
pass closest to the Sun on October twenty ninth.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
The audio form Interstellar Object Detected downloading now here is
the first official audio for three as US. We've been
trying to reach you about your car's extended warranty.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
Wow, no deeper in the tea. Why pay to go
to a haunted house when you could just stay home,
turn the lights off, and have the same basic experience.
One in eight Americans claim they've lived in a haunted
house at some point in their life. A Halloween poll
by realtor dot com follow the vast majority of hauntings
are at least possible. Eighty six percent of people said so.

(02:29):
Just fourteen percent of people said no way. Twelve percent.
One in eight claim they've lived somewhere no haunted house before.
Top haunted house experiences hearing weird noises. Two thirds of
people who lived in a haunted house reported hearing footsteps,
banging sounds, mysterious music. Fifty one percent said a disembodied voice.
If they heard weird noises, they might have had my

(02:50):
show on shadow we figures and ghosts. Sixty one percent
said they saw something they couldn't explain. Objects moving on
their own at fifty eight percent, feelings of being touched
at fifty one percent, Flickering lights I had forty eight percent.
The poll also found we would buy a haunted house
at the price was right. Fifteen percent of people said absolutely,
no deal, But there's a difference. If it was known

(03:11):
for a famous murder, it's a different story. Seventy nine
percent of people said, no matter what the price, they
were not going to buy That I did live in
a haunted house. At one time, it was haunted, we
believe by the woman who died in the house shortly
before we bought it. Weird things. Cupboards would open and close,
doors would open and close. You could hear music boxes.
We didn't own a music box. It was kind of

(03:32):
some crazy things. Blinds would open and close. It was
kind of strange. But I think the most haunted thing
is my bank account. It's been dead for years too.
