Speaker 1 (00:00):
Dashly and the Morning Show with d J Foreign.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
It's s T Morning, Boston's number one for hip hop
jam in ninety four or five. You know, call me
crazy Foreign. I'm gonna give you a scenario. Okay, we
don't have to say your age, but you know you you're.

Speaker 3 (00:26):
Season.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
Okay, at your age, if one of your friends called
you and said, be serious, hey, do you want to
come over and throw the ball with me, and like
play catch. We're gonna just take the baseball.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
And we're gonna no kids involved.

Speaker 3 (00:45):
No, it is yeah, grow up.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
Ball to each other. Okay, at our season.

Speaker 3 (00:54):
That that's what I mean.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
At our season, we're vets. Now, okay, we are vets
in this game. We're not involved, no children involved.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
There's what happens.

Speaker 3 (01:08):
I do mean, I do mean the baseball. I'm just soer.
So your friend here is like I'm back. He's like
I'm back, and I go, you're back doing what? He's like,
I'm going to play baseball again.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
I'm like, oh that's cool, and he's like yeah, look
and he shows me a video of him in his
driveway with another forty.

Speaker 3 (01:30):
Year old man.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
He's not helping yourself here, and another fifty year old
man and they're playing catch. Now mind you, he's not
trying to he's that's not what he's showing me. He's
just being like, look at me, Like, I'm back. I'm
playing baseball again. Ash, I'm so excited. I go, what
are you doing? He's like, mediate defensive.

Speaker 3 (01:50):
We're playing catch? I said, what are you fifteen? What
do you mean go? Did he He's like, yeah, he
hit me up. He came over. We like played catch
for twenty minutes. He came inside, We talked for a
little bit, and he left. I said, so he literally
came to As I'm saying, it sounds weird, doesn't it.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
It does from that perspective.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
Yeah, So he hits him up, he comes over, they
play catchy catch, he goes inside, he leaves.

Speaker 3 (02:14):
It was a thirty minute process that they had and
then he left. It's weird. I'm sorry.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
That's a weird, bro.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 4 (02:25):
It's weird from the perspective of two adults doing it
just on a random Sunday without any context. But the
context is that I am going to play baseball again
and I needed to get ready for.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
That makes sense. Yeah, wouldn't you want to train with
a younger player, like somebody who's actually playing baseball.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
He wants to train.

Speaker 4 (02:43):
The thing is is that this guy plays in the
league that I'm going to be on. I'm going to
be on his team. But the thing is I haven't
thrown a baseball in a year, which is like, so
I need to get my arm into shape.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
So for yes, I'm training. Okay, you can't get so
he's he's going to be a teammate. Basically he's my teammate. Yeah,
and he vouched me to get on the team. So
it's like.

Speaker 3 (03:03):
And I'm like, do you want to play catch?

Speaker 1 (03:05):
To that, I was like, yeah, dude, I haven't played
catching so long. Catch.

Speaker 4 (03:10):
But I understand from the outside and men just playing
catch catch.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
I mean, listen, I'm not saying it in a like
it's not weird to me that like guys hook up,
Like I'm not you know what I mean, because you're like,
that's not.

Speaker 3 (03:23):
What it is, Okay, but it's fine if it is.
I don't know if that, Like, I don't know how.

Speaker 4 (03:27):
Would this be different if two guys got together to
shoot some hoops.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
It wouldn't. But they don't, Like.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
Guys don't get together and like, hey, you want to
go play some basketball?

Speaker 2 (03:36):
Ten of them do, and they play five on five,
they play pick up. For the most part, I'm not
hitting up any of my friends that I played college
basketball with and being like, hey, do you want to
get some shots up? I'm not doing that. So yeah,
ten guys might get together ten women and they might
play pick up. But for the most part, there's obviously
certain circumcanceis I'm not hitting up any of my call

(03:57):
I'm not hitting up Hey, Marilyn Z, you want to
get some shots up?

Speaker 3 (04:01):
Linz? What are you doing today? Do you want to
get some shots up?

Speaker 2 (04:05):
If I called Lindsay, my college teammate right now, said
do you want to get some shots up?

Speaker 3 (04:08):
She would say what's going on?

Speaker 1 (04:10):
Like a cry for help?

Speaker 3 (04:11):
How are you okay?

Speaker 2 (04:14):
But hey, you keep playing catch with the fifth year
old Leah and Nashville likes it. Lia's actually turned Lislea's.

Speaker 3 (04:20):
A little turned on by it. Turn of events. Ohay,
I was not the first to say I was turned on,
But it is.

Speaker 4 (04:29):
Really nice when a guy.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
Comes up with an activity for you to do.

Speaker 3 (04:35):
I mean, so many men nowadays forget that their inner
child is so important to embrace, and so I think
it's sweet. Ay he needed that, he needed that confidence.
Thank you for that. Leah, there you go, she's turned on.
You think it's sweet.

Speaker 4 (04:49):
On that note, I think tomorrow Thursday, wait to get
together and take a couple of hacks in like the
r take some dry cuts, do some soft toss.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
Hit hit like hit off the tea a little bit. Yeah, okay,
getting ready for the season. If it's for training, with
the training somebody else.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
I don't like us using the word training. It's a
fifty plus year old men's league that.

Speaker 1 (05:08):
You don't it's thirty eight. It's different.

Speaker 3 (05:10):
Sorry, but you don't. This is it's for fun.

Speaker 4 (05:14):
It's for fun, yes, but you understand, like baseball is
a big part of my life for so many years,
and I haven't played in like five years, and I
missed it. But now I'm coming back and I feel good.

Speaker 3 (05:22):
It was basketball not a big part of my life.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
It was. But do you miss playing?

Speaker 4 (05:26):
Of course? All right, So if you want to go
get some hooping in and take some shots to your buddies,
it's okay, yea, come over, come some shots, Yeah, come over.

Speaker 3 (05:35):
Hey, do you want to play horse today?

Speaker 1 (05:38):
