Speaker 1 (00:00):

welcome to another edition of Wants To Pod. I am Medus.
I'm joined by born Ak Brett. He's an audio expert
and syndication expert. What the one you show boy show?
They can hear across the United States and around the
world on AFN. We are joined today by our good
friend Tyler aka heavy t aka da t And uh, well,
(00:25):
I'm hesitating because Brett, you said that you're not happy
with him today, so I don't even know if you
would call him a friend. We'll get to that in
a moment. But we're eating right now, so sorry. Sorry
founding a little extra, flemy, but we're starving.
Speaker 2 (00:36):
There's free food here for the Halloween party. You know,
if we were doing this podcast, we usually miss out
on the food. We're not gonna get any.
Speaker 3 (00:42):
There's hounds around here that eat everything we want some
so sorry.
Speaker 1 (00:46):
Eric ant join us today if you don't know if
you're new to the pod. He works for the NFL
and it's kind of a busy time. Also, Julianne is
not available today and Randy is available once a month,
so we never got.
Speaker 3 (00:58):
An answer from him. Did we I'm like, what he is?
Speaker 1 (01:00):
No, no, Tyler, you are his keeper. Is he busy
this weekend? Oh? Do you know what?
Speaker 3 (01:05):
I do?
Speaker 1 (01:05):
Know what he's doing this weekend. I invited him to
go to Las Vegas this weekend. I never heard back,
but I do know what he is doing this weekend. Yeah,
which I would have blown off for Vegas, to be honest,
and then did it later or maybe it's too late
to do what he's doing. But he's going on the
Haunted hay Ride. Oh yeah, so I'm assuming he has
to do it this weekend.
Speaker 4 (01:25):
Yeah. Halloween is tomorrow as of this recording, so it's
probably over by this weekend.
Speaker 3 (01:31):
I know.
Speaker 1 (01:32):
But you know what I'm doing this weekend. I mean, yes,
I do, and I would have blown it off, but
that's just me personally.
Speaker 2 (01:37):
Yeah, I mean, to be honest, there is a Hunted
hay Ride every year, uh huh, and for a.
Speaker 3 (01:42):
Whole month every year.
Speaker 2 (01:43):
This is kind of more of a special once in
a lifetime yeah event, I would say.
Speaker 4 (01:49):
Anyways, Randy waiting till the last minute to do something shocked, absolutely.
Speaker 1 (01:53):
Shocked, very shocked. All right, Well, let's get some calendar
stuff out of the way. Myself and board. We're gonna
be raising canes on West Sunset Boulevard this upcoming Tuesday,
November fourth, That is sixty eight hundred West Sunset Boulevard
on Highland and Sunset for the raising knes, opening from
one to three pm, doing a bunch of giveaways. You
(02:14):
it is Hollywood because when you look at the address
it we'll say Los Angeles, Right dude, it's in Hollywood.
We should say Hollywood.
Speaker 2 (02:22):
It's right down the road from Hollywood in Highland. It's
right down from the star Walk and the Chinese Theater.
It's so nearby. If you want to go see everything
that Hollywood has to offer, go right after.
Speaker 1 (02:34):
Come hang out, get some cook to order chicken fingers,
get some creakle cut fries, the legendary cane sauce, and
maybe some giveaways that we have. Of course, we always
come with the best giveaways, so rolling through also put
this on your calendar. I just finalized this coming back
to Lazy Dog downy everybody, and this time I'm bringing
(02:56):
my friends from TCL Televisions and let's just say we
gonna be giving away some TVs on November twenty eighth.
We're gonna be watching a football game. I assume that's
gonna be around noon, that is Black Friday, and then
on Cyber Monday, we're taking the party to Rancho Cucamonga
Lazy Dog for some Monday night football, doing a watch
(03:18):
party there and doing even more giveaways.
Speaker 2 (03:20):
The last watch party that you had with TCL super
Fun was huge.
Speaker 3 (03:24):
I drove past it.
Speaker 2 (03:26):
The location you wrap was all windows, and we drove
past to go to.
Speaker 3 (03:30):
A theme park. Me and my wife are like, oh,
there's Venus. There's his watch party.
Speaker 1 (03:35):
It was lit.
Speaker 3 (03:35):
It was popping.
Speaker 2 (03:36):
And then I ran into somebody right after your watch party,
like I would just say, yo a minute, have this
great time seeing football on this huge ass TCL television.
Speaker 3 (03:44):
Dude, that looked like a great time.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
Yeah, so put that down on the calendar to twenty eighth.
Be ready. We're gonna be watching probably again around noon
in Downy at Lazy Dog Restaurant, and then on Monday,
if you want to come watch some more football Monday
evening Ranchoco Kamaga Lazy Dog there on December first, So
can't wait for that. But can we just recap real quick, Tyler,
(04:06):
how dope was the boohaha? I mean people missed out
if they didn't go to the Boujaha. Thank you to
everybody that did. If you don't know, it was a
beer fest that happened at OC Events Center. There was
some demolition derby, and I'll be honest when they said
demolition derby, was like, I don't know, are people going
to be into this because before it was like really
band heavy the last time we did this, but this
(04:28):
time it was a couple of bands and the demolition
Derby and Tyler. You can agree, people were digging the
demolition derby.
Speaker 4 (04:35):
Dude, this thing absolutely bleep dude.
Speaker 1 (04:39):
Yea did so farn Look at my instagram at menacem
E Nacee you'll see the thing that says boohaha. Watch
some of the demolition Derby footage. It did not disappoint.
Speaker 2 (04:49):
There were so many listeners that I heard were going
out for the Boujaha with the intention of seeing the
demolition Derby was the one thing they wanted to do.
Speaker 3 (04:58):
There was there was free beer, take, tons of different vendors.
Speaker 2 (05:01):
Huh, there's a lot to do, bands performing, but their
highlight the demolition Derby.
Speaker 3 (05:06):
Yeah, I was like, that's freaking awesome.
Speaker 2 (05:08):
Man.
Speaker 1 (05:08):
It ruled so hard. Everyone was so happy and just
like screaming and yelling when the cars hit each other.
It ruled. But I would love to shout out a
couple beer people that were there, the Suavecito folks. They
have a brewery in downtown Santa Ana that you should
check out. They also have a coffee shop around the corner.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
It's so good. I love their coffee. Their cold brew
is by far one of the top best.
Speaker 1 (05:33):
Also, you should go to their official HQ in Santa
Ana if you're into all the products that they make.
I'm talking about the palm made and all the merch
that they have.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
The beard wax and stuff, but the merch hair products
and the collaborations that they do, and the amount of
merch that they have and say you're like, ah, I
don't know what they have. They have everything from shirts
to car accessories, hats, everything, like.
Speaker 1 (05:56):
They have a barber shop there.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
Right, There's so much to do, which you would think, oh, Swavscito, like,
I know the palm made, I don't know if they
have so much to do there.
Speaker 1 (06:05):
My favorite collabs that they've just done recently, they had
the hot Cheetos clab, oh they had Star Wars Clab,
pac Man, Johnny cupcakes, and they make merch for all
this kind of stuff and it looks super cool.
Speaker 2 (06:16):
And if you go to their HQ, they actually have
some of their merge from their prior collabs that may
have been discontinued. They have a clearance section in the
back that they heavily highlight. Go back to our cr
OL collabs. They had WWE vintage WWE from the eighties
and one of my favorites Universal Movie Monsters.
Speaker 1 (06:31):
Yeah, so dope check them out. Look up Suavecito HQ.
Also our friends there you kept on going back to
the well was Suavesito Tyler. But you also went back
to the well with our friends at Brewery X that
were on side. They had one of your favorites, right.
Speaker 4 (06:47):
Dude, the Huckleberry Seltzer, arguably my favorite drink on the climate.
Speaker 1 (06:52):
So I've been trying for years and people keep on
bringing up to me and I'm like, I've been trying
to do something with Brewery X, like a watch party,
like a live podcast or just something like that. We
got to do something at brewery X.
Speaker 4 (07:06):
We gotta do something. Even if hear me out, even
if It's like a pregame and then we go see
the Monster Truck Jam at Angel Stadium down the street.
Speaker 1 (07:13):
I'd be kind of down for Oh, what what the
dates on that? I'm jumping in on that. I think
it's early February, but I will have to double check
on that.
Speaker 3 (07:20):
Have you seen the Monster Truck Jam at Angel Stadium?
Speaker 1 (07:23):
No?
Speaker 4 (07:23):
Always wanted to. I never have.
Speaker 2 (07:25):
I've driven past the Angel Stadium on the fifty seven
seeing it as it's happening from the highway.
Speaker 3 (07:31):
It looks so freaking dope.
Speaker 4 (07:32):
Man, dude.
Speaker 1 (07:33):
They had a watch party for the Anaheim Ducks at
Brewer Rex and they showed it on their social media.
It looks super freaking fun. So you're saying pregame before
the Monster Jam, that would be pretty cool.
Speaker 4 (07:45):
I just looked it up right now. There are four
dates in well, three dates in January and then one
on February first of next year for Monster Jam at
Angel Stadium. All right, let's go.
Speaker 1 (07:56):
I'll put in a call. So I hinted what I'm
doing this weekend, and this weekend I'm going to the
Palms Casino in Las Vegas and staying in the Hardwood suite.
The basketball Suite. Google this thing. If you ever want
like a super cool experience in Las Vegas, and you
always think about those over the top suites that you
(08:17):
see in movies and TV. The place that has those
types of suits is the Poms Casino sweets with bowling
alleys like the Kingpinn Suite. They have the Cinema Suite.
If you're a movie lover like Tyler, they have the
Make Good Choices Suite, two Stories, Sky Villa Suite. Just
go to the Palms dot com and you can see
everything that they have available and it's just a cool
(08:38):
casino in general. They have so many different food options. Also,
just a heads up if you're a big F one
fan like myself, Gunther, who was a principal for the
team Hoss, He's doing a live event at the Palms
during Las Vegas F one weekend. So if that's gonna
be happening in the morning of Saturday, November twenty seconds,
So just go to the Palms dot com get more
(08:59):
from that. Also, they always have a bunch of concerts
and cool events, so I'm excited to go there and
it just gets me geared up for F one weekend
and I have to think because dude, the birthday month
has been over the top. And you know how I
was trying to get some access at F one Austin
that didn't come through, but my friends at Peterson Automotive
(09:20):
Museum they hooked me up with prime access during F
one in Las Vegas, and I couldn't be happier. If
you are a car lover, check out the Peterson Automotive Museum.
Look it up. If you're coming to Los Angeles, you
live in Los Angeles, you live in the area. They're
always changing the exhibits all the time. And if you
want to see cars from movies, or you want to
(09:41):
see supercars, or you just want to see cars that
have just been part of the history of automotive, check
out the Peterson Automotive Museum.
Speaker 2 (09:49):
You have been so busy this month. Yeah, And this
is how I know the birthday month that's been successful.
Speaker 3 (09:54):
I have barely seen you, I know, because you're constantly going.
Speaker 1 (09:57):
I'm constantly on email recording with people and hopefully like
I've been doing enough runoff that everybody else can enjoy
it too, right, Yeah, like you know with the Brady
Bunch House with Greg and going to the Jay Leno
garage with Greg and Gina. I mean, they absolutely loved.
Some other friends of ours in the office got to
attend as well, and they love that well.
Speaker 2 (10:18):
I think that's the other thing is that the birthday month,
the goal for you has always well one to do
cool things, to do, have a lot of fun. But
you've always given the runoff to everybody else, like, hey,
what else can who else can we include?
Speaker 3 (10:31):
Who else can we make sure it has a great time?
Speaker 2 (10:32):
And even to see other people in the office get included,
it's like I get excited for them, Like there is
you know, one of our office people got to go
to the Jay Leno garage, as you said, I.
Speaker 3 (10:43):
Was so happy to see him there, Like that's freaking dope, man.
When would he ever get to do this?
Speaker 1 (10:48):
It's tough, man, That's why I put it out in
the universe.
Speaker 3 (10:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (10:50):
And then you know Tyler, you know, and then there's Tyler.
He's just Tyler now.
Speaker 1 (10:55):
And now Tyler, what do you do? I don't know.
You became a dog And now the Dodgers aren't doing
so well in the world series.
Speaker 4 (11:03):
What is not my fault?
Speaker 1 (11:05):
Eric?
Speaker 4 (11:05):
He blames you, of course he does, because there's nothing
else to blame for everything that goes wrong in his
life except me. You know that?
Speaker 3 (11:11):
Wow?
Speaker 1 (11:13):
Wow? Uh? So are your thoughts on the Dodgers.
Speaker 4 (11:16):
What's going on?
Speaker 1 (11:17):
I think, dude, oh my god. They cannot hit to
save their lives. So I saw a stata because he
came from the Angels or something that he's.
Speaker 4 (11:28):
Been the only one this postseason that's actually been somewhat consistent.
Him and Kiki Hernandez are the only two.
Speaker 1 (11:34):
What about Freeman? He always come?
Speaker 4 (11:36):
Freeman had the one home run in the eighteen inning games.
Hasn't done dude, Okay, that matters. It won them a game.
He hasn't done anything since Mooki has been awful over
the entire World Series. The rest of the lineup hasn't
really done anything. I saw a stat that said, in
the entire postseason, not counting the two Cincinnati games in
(11:56):
the Wildcard Round, they have not scored more than five
runs in nine innings. The only time they've scored more
runs is when the game went to extra innings. The
offense is just not there, dude, I don't get it.
And the sad part is is that the starting pitching
has actually delivered for the most part, the bullpen. Albeit
a few exceptions, the bullpen has actually kind of held
(12:18):
their own except for Bonda and Trident. But that's okay.
But you know it's I don't I don't know what
else to do. Man, they cannot hit to save their lives.
I don't know what's going on.
Speaker 1 (12:27):
So what's outcome?
Speaker 4 (12:29):
I mean, I want to see the Dodgers win it.
And here's the thing too, But here's the other thing too.
If the Dodgers do win, that means it's going to
seven games, and everybody loves a seven game series. So
it's the best of both worlds. Really well.
Speaker 2 (12:41):
Also, you're forgetting that Tyler's an appreciator of baseball as
a whole. So as much as he would want the
Dodgers to win, you know, he has some stat about
how long the Blue Jays have been since they've made
it to a World Series and won a championship.
Speaker 1 (12:54):
And it also you know he has a Blue Jays
hat somewhere.
Speaker 3 (12:58):
Oh for sure, I do.
Speaker 1 (13:00):
Yes, I love this. I love this is what I
love because Eric will find the photo of you wearing
the hat of the team that's playing against He'll post it.
Speaker 4 (13:12):
I know he will. But you know, what Eric. Eric
just doesn't get the style. That's all it is.
Speaker 3 (13:17):
Get the style.
Speaker 4 (13:18):
Yeah, my defense, in my defense, I've had I do
have two Blue Jays hats i've had. I've had him
for three years. So in my defense, like I've had
him for a long time.
Speaker 2 (13:29):
Oh so you're a fan of the Blue Jays before
you're a fan of the Dodgers, is what you're saying.
Speaker 4 (13:32):
Now, Dude, the Blue Jays logo is dope, Dude, just
the bird with the Canada leave it dominant team. They're dude.
They're better than those sorry Yankees in New York.
Speaker 1 (13:42):
So okay, I will say this, I will defend Tyler,
but I'm not claiming to be a hardcore baseball fan
at all.
Speaker 3 (13:49):
I'm not.
Speaker 1 (13:50):
But back in the day when the profit hats came out,
now they call him new era now right, Yeah, it's
new era. Back when I was a kid, we called
them pro I don't know why, but they call them
profit hats. I had all the teams, so I had
Blue Jays, I had the Florida Marlins. When the Florida
Marlins like became a team, I had the A's. The
(14:11):
only thing I did have was a Giant so I
can get some credit for that, because my whole half
of my family loved the Giants. I'm an A's fan,
so I had all the teams.
Speaker 4 (14:19):
I had a.
Speaker 1 (14:20):
Bulls profit hat, New Era, whatever you want to call it. Yes,
so kind of with Tyler. If you're a hat collector guy,
unless you're like super super die hard, like I bleed
and I'm gonna die for this team, it's okay to
have like different teams, right or exactly.
Speaker 4 (14:36):
And look, I totally get where Eric's coming from, where
he only wants to have one. I get it. I'm
not saying there's anything wrong with that. That's fine. I
I think me personally, I'm just more of an appreciator
to peel back the curtain. I'm gonna be honest with you.
I have over ninety hats, not peel back the curtain.
I have a lot of hats. And on top of that,
(14:57):
I think I have twelve or thirteen jerseys, not even
not even kidding.
Speaker 2 (15:03):
So you're gonna think that Tyler has more stuff than me.
Hold on twelve jerseys, ninety hats. How many Bible heads
are you up to right now? At least forty forty?
Speaker 1 (15:13):
I gotta call half Bag because I know he has
you beat. Oh, I'm sure he does, dude, But I
don't know about hats. He has a lot of hats,
but I don't know if he has that many hats.
But I know he definitely has you beat on jerseys. Oh,
I'm sure he does it. Like I just barely started
the jersey collection, maybe about a year ago ago, No,
(15:36):
about a year ago. Shout out to Mitchell and Neest
by the way, best retro jerseys out there. When it
comes to Jerseys, I'm only getting one of two things.
Either A players I really like or B players that
you look at them and they're like, oh, yeah, that's right.
Speaker 4 (15:53):
He was on that team.
Speaker 1 (15:55):
All right. I just talked to half BIG's dad. He
is not available, he's at work right now. But he
did agree that no matter what number you came up
with when he came to Jerseys, that he has you
be And I'm sure I think he told me one
time he had over two hundred.
Speaker 4 (16:11):
Yeah, like, I don't, I don't have that many. I
mean give you, like I said, I know, not even
in a year that that's probably two hundred. That's at
least a five six year process. That's so much by.
Speaker 1 (16:23):
Six years due those are bank like. Okay, how much
is the average jersey?
Speaker 4 (16:27):
Well, it depends on which one you get. If you
get the average non authentic one, it'll run you between
one thirty one sixty. And that's just for basketball. If
you're looking at football, it could be anywhere between like
one twenty one each.
Speaker 1 (16:40):
Wait, so non authentic is one sixty.
Speaker 4 (16:43):
Yeah, non authentic is one sixty. If you want authentic
at minimum, it's running you three hundred bucks.
Speaker 1 (16:50):
Okay, then that's definitely the ones that he has because
he only gets authentic.
Speaker 4 (16:55):
That's crazy. I mean, I respect that, but that's so
much money. I couldn't do that.
Speaker 1 (16:59):
Are you still going out to go watch movies? Because
there's a movie that's been in the theaters for a
minute now that I actually really want to see and
I didn't really see a lot of people talk about it.
It's called Good Fortune with seth Rogen.
Speaker 4 (17:11):
Yeah, Hiana Reeves, that's on my list. I will admit,
it's been about six weeks since I've been, but I
just haven't a time. Good Fortune is on my list.
I did just see another movie that just debuted on
Netflix not too long ago, and that one is called
a house of dynamite. Okay, yeah, that one is basically
what happens if someone launches a nuke at the US.
Speaker 1 (17:31):
Oh fun.
Speaker 3 (17:32):
Oh, just something that Tyler would love to watch, dude.
Speaker 4 (17:34):
These are my favorite types of I love disaster movies.
I love panic movies. I love end of the world stuff.
I love that.
Speaker 1 (17:41):
Honestly I do too, to be for real.
Speaker 3 (17:44):
Okay, but what so question, why menace? Do you watch
those movies? Why do you like those movies.
Speaker 1 (17:49):
Because it gives me ideas on how to prepare for situations.
Speaker 2 (17:52):
Okay, like this that makes sense because you've always been
a disaster plan for Yes, exactly Tyler. On the other hand,
Tyler is because maybe if you're having a bad day,
at least you're seeing that other people could be having
a worse day than you.
Speaker 3 (18:05):
Like, you know, I.
Speaker 4 (18:06):
Never thought about it like that, but now it is. Yeah,
well no, dude, I just like I'll be real. It's
the same reason why I love Jurassic Park. I love
seeing people get eaten. I love seeing stuff get blown up. Dude,
It's fun.
Speaker 1 (18:17):
Have you ever watched a TV show Paradise that is on.
Speaker 4 (18:21):
It's on my list, It is on my list. I
haven't seen it yet.
Speaker 1 (18:24):
It's lit. I don't want to give away too much,
but let's just say a lot of stuff goes down
in the world and people have to survive.
Speaker 4 (18:33):
I really really might. I might check it out. I
might check it out. I was literally having this conversation
with another coworker of mine at my other job, and
I was telling him, like, due my favorite types of movies,
like I love Day After Tomorrow. I love twenty twelve obviously,
the Jurassic Park movies because people are getting eaten. Jaws
is great. I love that stupid movie. Moonfall. Independence Day
(18:54):
is great because they just blow up a bunch of landmarks. Dude.
I love watching things explode. It's fun.
Speaker 3 (18:58):
I agree concerned about Tyler.
Speaker 4 (19:02):
I'll be concerned. I'm just fun.
Speaker 1 (19:05):
I want total devastation, dude. I want to see total annihilation.
The day I don't like these movies is the day
you should be concerned. Also out this weekend. I thought
it was out last weekend, and I guess this weekend
because what he said he bought tickets for it. The
fortieth anniversary of Back to the Future.
Speaker 4 (19:23):
That is this weekend. I did see that that is this.
Speaker 3 (19:25):
Week they had my Max. They had the meetup last
week last weekend.
Speaker 1 (19:29):
At the Idiot, and I totally forgot about it. Why
would they have that last weekend and then the movie
out this week because I think probably because there is
an AMC at that mall. No, because the date the
date of the movie. The movie was the date of
the meet up, so that's why it happened there.
Speaker 2 (19:48):
I don't know if you saw any of the footage Menace,
but you know at Star Wars they usually have like
the running of certain characters, or at comic cons they
had the running of the Marty mcflies down the ramp
into the mall that he skateboards down and wait and
it was I've never.
Speaker 3 (20:03):
Seen somebody Barty but flies to my life, it looks fun.
Speaker 1 (20:07):
I Will says that meet up spot is the mall
that Menace hyped up that one time, the Pointy Hills Mall,
the one that's absolutely dead inside. I'm convinced that the
only reason that mall is still standing is because of
that movie. That and also they do have a movie
theater in there, and then they have Round One the Bowling.
Speaker 4 (20:26):
That's true. Those things are single handedly hoisting up that
entire mon.
Speaker 3 (20:30):
Yeah, the very first round one in southern California.
Speaker 1 (20:33):
Right that part, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (20:35):
I want to I want to say, you're correct, but
I wanted to have.
Speaker 1 (20:38):
An event there, and no one will get back to
me at round one.
Speaker 3 (20:40):
So what the hell? And there's multiple round ones, we
can go in any of them.
Speaker 1 (20:44):
It's like Godspeed guys.
Speaker 3 (20:46):
Brewery X Round one, monster trucks.
Speaker 1 (20:49):
Monster trucks. We want to go do cool stuff with everybody.
Speaker 4 (20:53):
Call me, I will pimp out your drinks. Call me
all right.
Speaker 1 (20:58):
Now? Oh, An, a live event that's happening next year
that I already got tickets for is you guys might
be too young for this.
Speaker 4 (21:06):
But there's a.
Speaker 1 (21:06):
TV show called Married with Children, Yes, and they're having
a live reunion event and I already bought my tickets
for it, so.
Speaker 2 (21:16):
I was so tempted to buy tickets for it. I
want to buy tickets for it. I'm The Bundies are
so near and dear to me.
Speaker 4 (21:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (21:24):
Growing up with Married with Children, the Bundies were like
a second family.
Speaker 3 (21:27):
I watched them all the time.
Speaker 2 (21:29):
I felt like I could always connect with that family,
and every once in a while, like Tyler watching disaster, movies.
Speaker 3 (21:35):
If I saw the Al Bundy.
Speaker 2 (21:36):
Had a worse day than me, I felt a little
bit better. You know, I'm doing okay, But man, the
Bundies were always there and I've loved and cherished that show.
I want to see the reunion. But at the same time,
I think it's gonna hurt me just a little bit.
Speaker 1 (21:49):
It might be a little bit sad, to be honest,
to see everybody much older than the TV show. But
I love it so much. I'm going no matter what.
Speaker 3 (21:58):
That seems like so much much fun.
Speaker 4 (22:00):
It's really funny because you said that, like, oh, you
guys might be a little too young for this. This
is where you both know Katie Sagal and Ed O'Neil
from I know Ed O'Neil from Modern Family and Katie
Sagal from Sons of Anarchy. So yeah, this hurts definitely
a little young for it.
Speaker 2 (22:15):
This hurts me, Tyler said yesterday in the back. Oh yeah,
I forgot Katie Sagal was on Marry with Children.
Speaker 1 (22:21):
It launched her career.
Speaker 3 (22:23):
Oh totally, it totally did. I.
Speaker 2 (22:26):
I know she has some acting roles before that, but
Ed O'Neill, Katie Sagal, Dave Fastino, Christina Applegate, like they
all were made famous. They launched them into the ethers
of television history with the show. The only one was
Jefferson Darcy h He was the only other person that
had consistent roles in different TV shows.
Speaker 3 (22:46):
At the time.
Speaker 1 (22:47):
My thing was his name right now it's Ted, thank
you now Ed O'Neil, Wayne's World before or after the
TV show because he has an appearance in Wayne's World.
That's super famous.
Speaker 4 (22:59):
I think it's after because it came out in the
nineties and Married with Children Ye says that debuted in
eighty seven. Yeah, I guess in the middle.
Speaker 2 (23:08):
Marry with Children debuted with Fox. It was their their
flagship show that started in waynsworld was ninety two.
Speaker 1 (23:15):
Okay, yeah, so he was about Let's.
Speaker 2 (23:17):
See what was that that was about. Stephen Rhodes was
still on Marry with Children. That was like the season
that he was leaving it disappeared to become a forest ranger.
Speaker 3 (23:25):
Ranger.
Speaker 1 (23:26):
Yeah, oh damn.
Speaker 2 (23:27):
It's such a great show. And the thing is it
holds up. I know that they talk about political correctness
and stuff. That show is untouchable. It holds up. It's
still so good to this day.
Speaker 1 (23:36):
Go look it up.
Speaker 4 (23:37):
Guys.
Speaker 1 (23:37):
If you haven't heard of Married with Children, it sucks
because they always got to check my reference. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (23:42):
Oh, and you know the other thing is, for the
love of God, if you do find a copy of it,
or you find it streaming, find the one that actually
has the Frank Sinatra opening.
Speaker 1 (23:50):
Oh yeah, it sucks when you find the one that
doesn't have the Frank Sinatra.
Speaker 2 (23:54):
I would have two copies of the entire series on
DVD because I got the first run that had no
Frank Sinatra, and I bought one with all Frank Sinatra.
Speaker 1 (24:02):
You have to It's iconic for the intro.
Speaker 3 (24:05):
It just hurts not hearing it.
Speaker 1 (24:06):
All right, you guys want some food news, of course
you do. Now I will tell you this, don't judge me.
When you go to Las Vegas, Nevada, yes, or any
other place that has the restaurant Carbone, Okay, and all
your friends are gonna tell you you're gonna want to
go because you heard about it in the Drake song
and it's very famous and it's very trendy to go there.
(24:30):
I will tell you, and I'm being a friend to
you guys right now, that Carbone is one of the
most overrated restaurants in the entire efing world. Not waste
your money going to Carbone.
Speaker 4 (24:43):
I think I talked to you about this like a
year ago.
Speaker 1 (24:45):
Yeah, I think you're going with some friends to Vegas
and they're talking about going Carbone, and I'm like, dude,
don't waste your money. It's effing overrated. Honestly, one of
my favorite restaurants in Vegas. It has to be John George's. Now,
I just talked a bunch of smack on Carbone, but
I will tell you this, and I think it's a
very smart move by them. If you go to any
grocery store, you're gonna find Carbone sauce. I mainly see
(25:08):
it at Target. You can find it. I think they
have it at Walmart, but Carbone sauce. If you want
to make your own spaghetti or Ravioli's whatever, I fully
support you buying Carbone sauce. It is super good. And
everyone agrees with me because they are reporting that they
are making one hundred million dollars in sales in one
(25:29):
year just after sauce. What so I'm telling you don't
go to the restaurant, buy the sauce.
Speaker 4 (25:36):
It's good.
Speaker 1 (25:36):
So that's a pro tip right there now. Taco Bell, Yes, yes,
I don't know if you guys saw the other day
on my birthday, I took a Ferrari to Taco Bell.
Speaker 3 (25:45):
I did this is because so many airhorns today.
Speaker 1 (25:49):
It was a Ferrari SF ninety yellow. And I don't
know if you notice a song that I put in there, Bort,
but it references Pikachu. Yes, it says yellow Ferra repeaka juice. Anyways,
see the photos at Menace on Instagram. But at Talk
a Bell they have these new Diablo Sauce nuggets, so
(26:09):
they're infused with Diablo sauce. Are you all in or
all out? Well? Port can't answer, but I forgot Tyler
spicy food all in or all out.
Speaker 4 (26:19):
I'm good on spicy food to an extent. Like my
threshold is like if you go to Buffalo Wild Wings,
because everybody knows that if you get the Asian zing,
that's about my limit. I'll be honest. I can handle
spicy food better than Eric cann Eric. Yeah, if that
gives you an idea, I can handle spicy food way
better than Okay, Oh, let me let me rephrase. Let
(26:42):
me first ences. I don't mean that as a job.
I'm just saying, like, if you want to scale, like
I can tolerated a little bit more by picking.
Speaker 1 (26:50):
Up that you and Randy are ganging up on Eric
for some reason. What did Eric do to you, guys?
Speaker 4 (26:57):
Well, Eric's just to me.
Speaker 3 (27:02):
You know. Randy saw the wind blowing, so he went
that way with us.
Speaker 1 (27:05):
That's fun.
Speaker 4 (27:05):
Still love Eric, Still love you, buddy. If you're listening to.
Speaker 3 (27:07):
This, all right, I bet he would call Eric back.
Speaker 1 (27:10):
Yeah, he definitely would.
Speaker 4 (27:11):
All right, it's nice.
Speaker 1 (27:13):
Now did you see this. Chick fil A is testing
its first ever twenty four hour vending machine that's gonna
be closed on Sundays. What it will be unplugged for
some reason.
Speaker 4 (27:22):
So it's not twenty four hours.
Speaker 3 (27:25):
That's so jacked done.
Speaker 1 (27:25):
It's twenty four hours, six days.
Speaker 3 (27:27):
A week, White tease. Just let the robots do their job.
Speaker 1 (27:31):
But these new vending machines that you get hot food
out of are pretty cool. Speaking of Vegas, they have
them all over. These pizza ovens that you can just
order pizza slice out of or a small pizza. It's awesome.
Speaker 3 (27:43):
That's straight out back to the future.
Speaker 1 (27:44):
Now, Chick fil A is testing this. They're testing it
at the children's hospital in Georgia and hope to expand soon.
Speaker 4 (27:52):
I'm want to be honest. I wrote up this story
earlier this week. Yeah, it's kind of weak, not gonna lie.
What mean. I love Chick fil A, I adore Chick
fil A. Yeah, there are only things in the vending machine.
Are two types of wraps and two types of potato chips,
and that's it.
Speaker 1 (28:11):
Potato chips.
Speaker 4 (28:13):
I guess Chick fil A makes their own kind of
potato chips. Those are literally there are four different items
in the vending machine and that's it.
Speaker 1 (28:19):
Oh really, why would you?
Speaker 3 (28:21):
Why would you test it at the children's hospital.
Speaker 1 (28:24):
It's for the parents that are there.
Speaker 3 (28:26):
It's for the parents.
Speaker 4 (28:26):
But to be fair, if you're gonna test something like this,
a hospital is a great place to do it because
you have all the overnight doctors, nurses. They're get hungry
in the middle of the.
Speaker 3 (28:34):
I'm sad, but keep it open with seven days.
Speaker 2 (28:35):
There's nothing more disappointing than being there working and all
of a sudden you're like, I watch it.
Speaker 4 (28:39):
Okay, I think about this for a second. If one
fast food place is going to open up a vending
machine and be closed on Sunday. It's gonna be Chick
fil A, dude, So.
Speaker 2 (28:46):
What you're saying is I should just hope that more
fast food places open up vending machine.
Speaker 1 (28:51):
Think about Jesus, He wouldn't want you to have that sandwich.
Speaker 2 (28:55):
Jesus exactly didn't say on the seventh day, the robots
get it off. Okay, let's robots work, so we get
our vending machine food.
Speaker 4 (29:02):
Hold on. Hold on. By saying the vending machine is
closed on Sunday, is Chick fil A saying that robots
are human?
Speaker 1 (29:09):
Oh dude, are we high right now? Oh?
Speaker 2 (29:13):
Hold You gotta be careful with our answer because, as
revealed on the show this week.
Speaker 1 (29:18):
That was gonna be my next topic. Oh okay, well,
we'll come back to this, but I'll actually tell you.
I'll tell you why.
Speaker 4 (29:24):
Okay, I know exactly why it's closed on Sunday because
it gets refilled every twenty four hours in order to
preserve the freshness. And if Chick fil A employees aren't
working on Sunday, it's not going to get refilled, so
they just shut it off.
Speaker 2 (29:36):
Oh okay, it's called eleven pm on Saturday and on Monday.
Speaker 1 (29:40):
Loaded up, Load it up all right? Well, as you're
referring to Brett, which is kind of the same vein
of the vending machine that we're just talking about. If
you have not listened to the Woody Show. For my birthday,
I have ordered myself a humanoid robot. An think I'm joking.
I'm not king look it up. You might have already
(30:02):
seen in your social media feed because the blue up
yesterday is called Neo is made by one Ex Technologies
Google one Ex Technologies Neo Robot. I'll be receiving this
robot sometime in twenty twenty six. I am reaching out
to friends to put me up on the list so
I can get it here early, so it can talk
smack to Tyler when we're at work.
Speaker 3 (30:23):
Is that the whole purpose why you got it?
Speaker 4 (30:25):
Yeah? Go tell Tyler? Are you going to teach this thing?
Anti Tyler messages, I do not approve of this.
Speaker 3 (30:30):
Yes, it's a whole purpose, menace says listen, bitch.
Speaker 4 (30:35):
You know what, Venice, you can go get your own
coffee of the morning. I'm not doing it anything.
Speaker 1 (30:39):
Well, guess what I have my robot now, which is
going I.
Speaker 4 (30:42):
Hope he spills on himself at malfunctions.
Speaker 3 (30:44):
Okay, he won because he's a robot.
Speaker 2 (30:46):
He's perfect, he has AI, he's super smart, he won't
question everything.
Speaker 1 (30:50):
Now, well I allow you to use the robot Tyler,
Yes I will.
Speaker 4 (30:54):
I think My only thing is I don't know what
I would use it for.
Speaker 3 (30:57):
Please swipe left on every milk.
Speaker 4 (31:00):
Yeah right now, this robot could be a middleman.
Speaker 1 (31:03):
Yes, okay, this is that's the whole point.
Speaker 4 (31:06):
This is intriguing. I'm interested. Now, do like stuff like
if I wanted to go get coffee or of like, hey,
go give me a bagel or whatever.
Speaker 1 (31:14):
Yeah, or that's vacuum the floor. We got build a
bunch of food on it again, like you go tell
Brett because I don't want to talk to him. Blah
blah blah blah blah.
Speaker 4 (31:23):
Yeah. Interesting, I like this. I'm intrigued.
Speaker 1 (31:25):
I'm pretty excited. I want to bring it with me
to listener meetups and stuff like that.
Speaker 3 (31:29):
What made you go with a humanoid one over like
the dog one?
Speaker 1 (31:32):
Because the humanoid one legit kid wash your dishes okay,
and vacuum your floors and do all kinds of stuff.
There's actually a humanoid robot right now that you can
buy from Walmart.
Speaker 3 (31:43):
What.
Speaker 1 (31:44):
But all it does is like kind of follow you
around and dances when you wanted to, and like kind
of like pretends to do karate moves. It doesn't really
do anything like the one that I ordered.
Speaker 3 (31:53):
Oh got it.
Speaker 4 (31:54):
Sorry, I'm just picturing a robot pretending to do karate moves.
Speaker 1 (31:57):
That's yes, Yeah, you can look it up. Look up
anoid robot Walmart. And yeah, if you just want to
like basically like a toy that just dances around and
doesn't really do anything, you can pick up something like
that today. But something that actually acts almost like a human,
you have to wait for it next year. We'll see
how it works. Now, if you look it up, you're
(32:19):
be like Menus dropped twenty k on a robot. No
I didn't, because who knows how good it's going to be.
Maybe the novelty will run off. So you can actually
get one on a subscription service. Oh now, this is
a lot of money, still is five hundred dollars a month.
But I think I can figure out ways to pay
for that and like monetize it in some way, and
(32:40):
like we can make cool social videos out of it.
So I'll make my money back on that and then
if it sucks, then I can just return it. And
I didn't drop twenty K.
Speaker 3 (32:50):
Yeah. I think that's a great idea. We'll see how
it goes and you can upgrade it as it's happening.
Speaker 1 (32:54):
I'm so excited.
Speaker 2 (32:55):
I'm happy for you early. This has been a very
successful birthday month. And also you getting your humanoid robots.
You got to write in a Ferrari. You have to
do a lot of fun stuff this month. So I'm
happy for you. Man, Thank you so much.
Speaker 1 (33:08):
Again. I know like, oh, it's all about Menace. No,
I'm like, I tried to do my best to do
good things for other people while this is all happening.
One of the examples I donated to one of our
coworkers fundraisers for clean water for people. If you want
to be a part of it, that would be awesome. Like,
I don't need you to get me anything, obviously, you've
(33:28):
heard the birthday month. I've gotten everything that I wanted.
But if you want to do something good for somebody
else in my name, I appreciate it. You yeah to
say Mena sent you, but you can donate and for
forty bucks. You can get somebody clean water for an
entire year for forty dollars.
Speaker 3 (33:47):
That's insane.
Speaker 1 (33:48):
I know, like money is like insanely tight with everybody.
But if you happen to be blessed and have an
extra one or two dollars or forty dollars or whatever
and want to help out people to get clean drinking.
I know that's crazy to say in twenty twenty five,
but you can hit up and it's very hard to
say his Instagram account, So I'm just gonna have Bort
spell it out. But if you can donate to his fundraiser,
(34:10):
I would greatly appreciate it.
Speaker 2 (34:12):
Yeah, so find him on Instagram. His username is starodet Ski.
Like we said, it's hard, so it's star like star
star O d e t s KII star wrote debt
Ski on Instagram and his name will pop up is
Constantine starodet Ski.
Speaker 1 (34:31):
Yeah, and he has a link in his bio and
I say donate to that if you have a couple
extra bucks. We'll make you feel good.
Speaker 2 (34:38):
And also he's a good follow on Instagram. He's a
very positive, awesome guy. He's a filmmaker. He does a
lot of the filming and footage around here in the office.
He's been with us for many interviews that have been
filmed in this studio, and he's just a great person
wants to do good, so go help him out.
Speaker 1 (34:53):
Also, if you're like I want to be better at
making video for social media, he is a good follow
because he teaches people how to do different things. It's cool,
all right, guys. Well, I'm gonna wrap up this pod.
Please don't forget these dates. Myself and Board. We're gonna
be at Raising Canes Chicken Fingers, sixty eight hundred West
Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood this Tuesday, November fourth, one to
(35:18):
three pm, a bunch of giveaways. We'd love to see
you there. If you can't make it, please hang out
with us in Downy. That's gonna be at Lazy Dog
Restaurant probably around noon on November twenty eighth. Just keep
an eye on my social media. And on Monday, December
one and Rancho Cucamonga sometime in the evening. It all
has to do with when the football games are gonna
(35:38):
be playing. But I hooked up with TCL Televisions and
we're gonna give away some TVs. Guys, We're gonna do
some big giveaways with them, so please keep an eye
on my social at Menace em E Nace. Big thank
you to a couple of people like the Pomps Casino
in Las Vegas. If you want like a really cool
Vegas experience, you're gonna be going out with your boys
(35:59):
for a better party. Are you gonna have a bachelorette
party and you just want a cool, awesome suite, Go
to Palms dot com and check out what they have available.
Also shout out to the Peterson Automotive Museum, thank you
for the access during F one. And I get more
and more messages every day on social media from listeners saying, hey,
I love your passion for F one. You better have
(36:21):
some watch parties coming up. So I'm trying to do
that in twenty twenty six, all my fellow F one
fans or just motorsport fans, because I kind of want
to like follow Indy in some NASCAR. Also, I'm pretty
excited for Formula E. I know it gets knocked on
a little bit here and there because it's electric cars,
but I see more and more people in bracing Formula E.
So I'm gonna try to get to a race at
least one race next year.
Speaker 2 (36:42):
With Formulae, they're definitely expanding Because the fact that I
was able to find a hot wheels for Formulae that
stood out to me. I'm like, they don't just make
hot wheels for anything like that.
Speaker 1 (36:52):
Well a lot, Okay, So just to explain things, there's
such a massive, huge demographic with younger people when it
comes to motorsports that has just popped off. Why do
you think Disney is getting involved? In twenty twenty six,
they're having a Disney section in Las Vegas. They're having
a Hello Kitty section in Las Vegas, hooked up with
(37:12):
f One Academy with all the female drivers. Like all
the live sports stuff is just going next level. We
talked about this on The Woody Show that because of AI,
everyone's gonna have access to it. Everyone can make whatever
movie they want at their house on their phone, or
whatever TV show they want on their house on their phone, Like, Hey,
I want to make a married with Children TV show
(37:33):
where they go on a trip to go see a
Formulae E race and guess what AI is gonna make
that video for you? But do you know what AI
can make? They can't make these live sporting events and
that's why live sports is just gonna take off to
another level. Oh yeah, so keep an eye out for that, Tyler.
I love your idea hooking up at Brewery X and
maybe doing some pre parties there. Maybe we should do
(37:54):
some watch parties there for the motorsports stuff. I don't know,
we'll look into that. And then big shouts to our
friends like Joekoi dot com. Shout out to our guy
Fluffy aka Gabriel Iglesias. Go to fluffy guy dot com.
He's still out on tour. And then those two get
together next year in March for the biggest comedy event
in history at Sofi Stadium, So make sure you get
(38:16):
some tickets for that. I totally forgot. I was saying Downy, Downy,
Downey a billion times on this podcast and port you
had an event in Downy.
Speaker 3 (38:25):
How did that go? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (38:26):
I was actually joining an event for the podcast ninety
Minutes on Film with our friend Wacko, who used to
work in the building still has a bunch of stuff
with a big boy, big star Wars fan. They were
doing a screening of zombie Land and a live podcast
for ninety Minutes on Film it was at Beyond the
Grave Halloween pop up in Downy Man. That's a cool place.
And if you haven't been to Beyond the Grave, the
(38:46):
bar becomes a different pop up with each season. So
once Halloween ends right now, it's gonna become a winter
pop up, no event, and it's gonna be year round,
different pop ups happening. So it was a great space,
cool decor, drinks, dope, and it was a good time
with the people from ninety Minutes on Film and our
friend Wacko Sweet.
Speaker 1 (39:05):
Also, since we're talking breweries, we gotta shout out our
friends at Villains in Anaheim.
Speaker 3 (39:12):
That's another one I was talking.
Speaker 1 (39:13):
We gotta get back to that spot, dude. Their Sunday
brunches are.
Speaker 2 (39:16):
Lit now, picture screening there, picture another lego building event.
Speaker 3 (39:21):
We have a lego over there that you've been stashing
for something.
Speaker 1 (39:24):
All right, we gotta we gotta do it.
Speaker 4 (39:26):
We gotta wrap it up.
Speaker 1 (39:28):
Also, shout out to our friends Man Kim. There are
band that are having parties here and there, So make
sure you follow Matt and Kim on Instagram or go
to Matt and Kim dot com stream their music. Where
you're find music, check out this Sex with Emily podcast.
Go to Sex Withthemily dot com or follower at Sex
with Emily on TikTok and Instagram. Also, it's getting cold,
so get yourself a blanket. Get google blankets by Tracy.
(39:50):
Just go to Blankets by Tracy dot com. That's t
R a c E Y again, just google it. You'll
find out a lot easier. And what is happening at
Shassi Jeans Tique board.
Speaker 2 (40:00):
Well, Shasta Jean's Boutique is getting ready, we're getting prepped.
We're building new items, creating new beautiful pendants, necklaces, bracelets, course,
crystal ball sacks, all these things. Because the Hyena Horror
Market is coming back in November on the twenty second
free event in North Hollywood at the Mayflower Club. It's
gonna be around the same time eleven am to four pm,
(40:21):
free entry. Just come on in no shop from a
cool vendors, including Shasta Jean's Boutique. And if you can't
come out for that, you can find the shop online
at Shastajansboutique dot com, batuos kuld Spooky or hit the
link in my link tree on Instagram at Saint Bord.
Speaker 1 (40:36):
All right and don't forget. Listen to the Mothership, the
one to show Monday through Friday on the iHeartRadio app. Tyler,
do you have any thing to say before we leave?
Speaker 4 (40:43):
Uh? Yeah, two things real quick. Number One, if you
think that having a bunch of different hats and jerseys
and all that bubble head stuff is pretty cool, hey,
let me know you got a collection. Let me know, dude.
Now I'm serious. If you got a collection, let me
know what. Share photos. Don't laugh, dude, I'm down. You
can hit me up at Twitter or on Instagram, at
heavy Ta underscore on air. That is number one.
Speaker 3 (41:03):
I support the collections. It's just the way that he
said it.
Speaker 4 (41:06):
Yeah, I know, I know it comes out weird, but
you know, we crossed that bridge and now we're here.
So number two, Menace, this is for you personally, all right.
I just wanted to say this. First off, Happy birthday man,
which I know was just a couple of days ago.
Speaker 1 (41:19):
There.
Speaker 4 (41:20):
That is number one. Number two. I know I'm really
bad at saying thank you, ye, but at the same time,
I do really want to take this moment to say
thank you for everything that you have ever done for
all of us, but specifically for me personally, can definitely
say that I would not be here where I am
(41:40):
right now if it wasn't for everything that you've ever
helped me out with or everything that you've ever brought
me along to. So or appreciative of that than you know.
And if I don't say thank you next time, just
go back to this message because I probably forgot again.
But yeah, it's all good. Well, thank you very much, man.
I really appreciate you, brother, love you too.
Speaker 1 (41:59):
And I want to say as well, I always feel,
to be honest that you guys take all your time
to like do this each week and like come hang
out with me at different stuff. I feel like I
don't do enough for you guys, and I wish I
could do a lot more for real. One day, I
hopefully will pay off somehow. I'll figure out a way.
(42:20):
Hopefully I win the lotto.
Speaker 3 (42:21):
You do a lot, man, You do a lot and
have half the fun is the hang.
Speaker 1 (42:25):
And it sucks that, you know, we get older and
we work different places and it becomes harder and harder
to hang together and like even get on the same
page or do the podcast the same day. But we
still find a way. And I really appreciate it and
thank you guys so much.
Speaker 3 (42:40):
Thank you. All right, Damn Now, I can't be med
at Tyler anymore because he said a nice message.
Speaker 1 (42:44):
And all you have anything else to say before the.
Speaker 2 (42:47):
Yep, Mena's just one thing, one very important thing, okay,
And I know it's been referenced on the Woody Show
a lot, so I'm just gonna say it now. And
certain people get to comment back to everybody on the text,
all right or on the air and say it's slame,
uh huh. But I will say Pokemon is for everybody.
Enjoy your Pokemon, your games, your cards, your figures, your anime,
whatever it is. Enjoy the wonderful world of Pokemon. And
(43:09):
currently we are at nine hundred and eighty two out
of one twenty five. Damn, bra we are slowly getting there.
We are at the hardest part of it. I am
literally diving through every aspect of every game to finish
the national Poke decks.
Speaker 3 (43:26):
So follow me at Saint Port.
Speaker 1 (43:27):
And then in twenty twenty six we go to the
Pokemon Theme Park.
Speaker 4 (43:33):
Let's go, yeah, I will. I will add one thing
to that, because Brett just said, like, oh, some people
might get mad, yo, for anyone who's listening to this. Dude,
collect whatever you want, do whatever you want. It's more
fun when you do stuff for you and you're not
listening to what other people think about it. Dude, nobody cares.
Just be happy, do your own thing. It's more fun.
Speaker 1 (43:52):
Agreed.
Speaker 3 (43:53):
Oh my god, has you been listening to us?
Speaker 1 (43:54):
I know it's weird. Anyways, guys, thank you so much
for listening and hopefully we'll get everybody back together next week.
We'll see who's available, but please rate and review this
podcast and we'll see you next week. What's new with
