He's the vice chairman of the Nine to eleven Remembrance
Foundation of South Carolina's good to speak with you.

So big week for you, sir.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
Yes, yes, absolutely, this is our busiest week of the year.
We're doing the nine to eleven Morning of Remembrance on
September eleventh down at the Convention Center at our Memorial.

Speaker 3 (00:20):
And you've got a lot of guests coming. I see
our friend the Lieutenant Governor will be speaking. Our friendly
on lot will be there. But talk to us about
your keynote address.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
So our keynote address is going to be Major General Stillwell,
he's the Adjutant General of South Carolina and he's going
to come speak to honor those men and women who
are on our memorial and on our Wall of Remembrance.

Speaker 3 (00:42):
This is on Thursday morning. At the program, it begins
at eight point forty. It says here you're going to
have an F sixteen flyover as well.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
Yes, we started that about three years ago. In this
South Carolina Air National Guard one sixty night fighter wing
has supported us every year since we began it.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
Now there are other associated events to talk about those
for a minute. I was could the community at large,
the public get involved.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
We sponsor from the nine eleven of Remembrance Foundation is
the South Carolina Columbia Tunnel to Towers five K. At
that event, we honor our fallen there also and that
raises money for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. And right
now currently we're the second largest run outside of New
York City.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
Waw.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
Yeah, we've been doing that for a lot of years
and we're very proud of that.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
Race. Did not realize that.

Speaker 3 (01:27):
So the general public is invited, do they need to
do anything before they come down to You have to
get any kind of tickets or anything like that, or
just show up.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
The event is open to the public, parking in the
conventions that are parking lot there at eleven oh one
Lincoln Street. And one thing that I do want to
point out is this year at our memorial back in March,
we did a oyster rose for the Circle Fire Department
in honor of Chief Chad Stature and Firefighter Landen Body.
This year they are going to be memorialized on our

towers and on our Wall of Remembrance. We also have
two canine unfortunately that we'll be added from Richland County
Sheriff's Department, Canine Kodak and then Canine Bummy. We have
a Knin Memorial that also was started there and we
honor their service as well.

This is the nine to eleven Morning of Remembrance ceremony
and it will of course be on the eleventh of
September at eleven oh one Lincoln Street at the memorial itself,
beginning at eight point forty, and the public is invited,
and now you've been officially in personally invited by David Kerr.
