From the story of Cain and Abel to the words of Jesus in John 15, Scripture shows that the hostility believers face is not new—the world has always resisted the light that exposes its darkness. Yet Jesus teaches that those who endure persecution for His name are blessed, sharing in the same suffering as the prophets and in the glory that will follow. As the Holy Spirit testifies to Christ, believers are called to continue bearing faithful witness, trusting that even hostility and conviction can become the means through which God draws hearts to Himself.
