Yet Scripture calls us not to fear, but to honor Christ, bear witness with gentleness, and maintain a clear conscience, trusting that our response can bring conviction to those who oppose us. From the early church under Nero to the bold testimony of Tertullian, and ultimately to the example of Jesus and Stephen, we are shown that suffering endured with love, forgiveness, and faith becomes a powerful act of worship and witness. As we share in Christ’s suffering, we also share in His life and reward—so let us stand firm, love boldly, and consider ourselves truly blessed.
