La desinformación climática se ha convertido en un factor clave en la forma en que la sociedad entiende y debate el cambio climático. Las redes sociales, los algoritmos y la polarización favorecen la difusión de mensajes engañosos que siembran dudas sobre la evidencia científica y dificultan la percepción de los riesgos asociados a la crisis climática.
Fenómenos extremos como la DANA de 2024 han mostrado además cómo, en momentos de incertidumbre, proliferan narrativas conspirativas y contenidos falsos que erosionan la confianza en las instituciones y dificultan la comprensión del fenómeno climático.
