עודד בוגר תואר ראשון בהנדסת חשמל מאוניברסיטת תל אביב. כמו"כ למד תואר שני במנהל עסקים בארצות הברית, ותואר שני נוסף בהנדסת תעשייה וניהול. לאחר מכן עבד כיועץ בחברת ייעוץ בשיקאגו ובשלב מסוים עבר לסן פרנסיסקו. זה השלב בו גוגל פנו אליו, ומשם הכל היסטוריה. עודד עובד מאז ועד היום בגוגל, כבר למעלה מ-13 שנים.
