This open-access model is one of the ways California community colleges ensure that higher education remains affordable, accessible, and inclusive, especially for first-generation students and those returning to education later in life.

Why Maintaining a 2.0 GPA Matters
Although a GPA isn’t needed to enroll, maintaining one once you start is absolutely essential. After you begin your classes, you are required to keep a minimum GPA of 2.0 or higher in order to remain in good academic standing.
