He is an American lawyer turned historical investigator who has been probing his distant relative, the 19th century serial killer Dr H.H. Holmes.
Holmes admitted to killing 27 people but some thought he may have killed as many as 200 - many in a specially designed “factory of death” hotel in Chicago.
Some believe the butchering beast was the real Jack the Ripper because he was in London a trip during the time of the spate of murders
