(00:01):
This is the Kelly Golden Show podcast. Cowered by disaster fluss on a big
fail Friday. I told you I'mhappy to play golf if you carry on
bag. Let's not act like children, Hey, Kelly, it's ourris.
Trump doesn't have to really worry thatmuch about a challenge to a driving contest
with Biden. Paull. He hasto do is a simply challenge Biden to

(00:24):
walk nine holes. I don't thinkhe could do it. So that'll be
a clear winner right there, whetherhe's carrying a golf bag or not.
I don't think Biden could walk nineholes, let alone eighteen. Attorney General
Alan Wilson joining us with some debaterecaps and reactions. Great to be with
you again. Thank you for havingme, Thank you for taking some time.
I mean that was we knew itwas going to be difficult. I

(00:45):
think people were just tuning in forthe NASCAR crash moment. Do you think
we got it? I mean, the whole thing was a mess. Look,
it was in real time. Peoplewere watching a historical event. You
know for those of us, youknow, you and I went out alive
during the Nixon Kennedy's baits. Butwe've heard the coverage, We've seen the
video footage. This was that forthis generation, this was watching the implosion

(01:07):
of an elderly man in real timeon national TV, in the most watched
presidential debate in American history. Honestly, you know, I'm not a fan
of Joe Biden. I don't likehis policies. I think he's I think
he's corrupt. But I couldn't helpbut feel sorry for the man last night
because it was I was watching asenior citizen with cognitive impairment, with with

(01:27):
the problems with mental acuity unfold beforemy very eyes. And for people who
don't like Donald Trump or people wholove Donald Trump, you got more of
Donald Trump. What we saw lastnight was the continuing devolution of Joe Biden
just devolving, you know, andit was it was very sad, it
was very unfortunate. So Attorney GeneralWilson, though former South Carolina lawmaker,

(01:49):
but Cary Sellers is saying Biden ain'tgoing nowhere. It's June. He's tweeted
out on X let go of yourpearls, you know, with the pearl
clutch, he said, Dryer bedhe may have lost the debate, and
he said badly that they're not goingto replace him. What do you think,
Well, look, but McCarry maybe right, I'm not. I

(02:09):
don't have the information to know.I'd say right now, I know there
are a lot of Democrats that wouldlove to have a broken convention or or
switch horses right now. But youknow, honestly, the person the backup
tire, the spare tire in thiscar is Kamala Harris, who's even less
popular and unfortunately less confident than JoeBiden, even with his mental faculties,

(02:30):
I mean, even with her facultiesintact, she's less confident, and so
the Democratic Party would have to goto Kamala Harris. And I can't envision
a scenario where Joe Biden gets thrownaside and they don't go with Kamala and
go with someone else like Gavin Newsom. I mean, obviously, she's a
minority female that you know they haveprided themselves and wanting to put her in

(02:50):
a position to be the next president, the first black female president in the
United States, And I just Ican't see them throwing her aside. But
I don't know that she's any betterthan Joe Biden. So that's that's the
problem for the Democrats to sold out. But last night was very very talented
joining US South Carolina is Attorney GeneralAlan Wilson with reaction. I know you've
been busy with this preliminary injunction againstBiden's student loan forgiveness program. So this

(03:15):
is something that triggers people, whetherit's far middle of the road, right
in the middle, independence, oreven on the left. Absolutely it is
triggering for me to see this presidentblowing more money into the world than God
has ever seen. You know, people wonder why inflation is so high.
You know, you wonder why ourtaxes are going up. You wonder why
the economy is tanking because this manis trying to buy the He is trying

(03:39):
to take laws the Congress past yearsago and reorder them, rewrite them so
as to spend half a trillion dollarsin student loan debt. He did this
last year with the Heroes Act.We fought that that went to the United
States Supreme Court. Supreme Court struckit down because they did not have the
authority to do it under the HeroesAct. So remember what he's he said,

(04:00):
I'm going to go around the SupremeCourt. Well, they went around
the Supreme Court with another federal law, and just like the Heroes Act of
the State Plan under the Higher EducationAct, they took a law that Congress
passed which was designed to help peoplerestructure their student loan debt so they continue
making payments, and they basically reroteit into a policy where they were going
to forgive up to another half trilliondollars in student loan debt. We went

(04:24):
to work. I was in aneleven state coalition. We went in the
federal District court in the tenth Circuitin Kansas. Eight of those states were
thrown out on technical standing grounds.South Carolina, Texas, and Alaska remained.
We made the arguments a lot withthe help of the State of Texas.
I deputized them since we were basicallyco planerfs on this, and we

(04:46):
got a preliminary injunction on this law. It's being appealed by the Biden administration
as we speak, But again,I feel like the conclusion will be no
different than the last time he triedto spend half a trillion dollars on student
loan bailouts. So we mentioned Carolinalawmakers. How about the idea that Trump,
as he said, he's close toannouncing a VP pick for his candidacy

(05:08):
come November. What do you thinkabout the fact that he Yep, Kelly,
I want to make an announcement heretoday. It's not me. Yes,
I didn't know if you were goingto ask me that. Well.
I thought it was interesting he mentionedTim Scott, South Carolina senator and his
opportunity zones. I think Tim wouldbe a fantastic vice president. I mean,

(05:29):
I think he would be great.I loved Tim. I think he's
a good man. I think theopportunity zones was an incredible feat, legislative
feat for him to accomplish. Andso, I mean, I love the
fact that Tim's in the next Idon't know if it is him. You
know, I've heard Doug Bergham,I've heard Marco Rubio, although he's got
some constitutional issues being from the samestates as the president. Yeah, can
you we in on that quickly?Because I thought this is the same reason

(05:50):
why we couldn't have you know, the governor out of Florida, because a
lot of people, you know,it's that all we wanted to say,
it just Trump ticket. It'd beyou know, the dream team, but
I didn't think constitutionally that could happen. Well, it can't. And again,
like Bush Cheney in two thousand, you know, Dick Cheney had to
leave Texas immediately to go to Wyomingand register to vote there and take up,
you know, get a house thereto be vice president. The difference

(06:13):
between that situation and this is ifit were Marco Rubio, he'd have to
leave the United States Senate in orderto take residency in another state. So
you know that tells me that itprobably isn't him. But you know,
like I said, I think anybodythat Donald Trump picks is going to be
infinitely better than the current vice presidentwe have right now. Well, we
appreciate you taking some time South Carolina'sAttorney General Alan Wilson joining us here with

(06:35):
the debate recap. I mean,it wasn't even really a debate. I
mean, it was just a debacle. It was very sad. Can I
say, do I have enough timeto say one quick thing about I think
the perfect comeback for Donald Trump whenJoe Biden caught him a convicted sellon would
have been this, you know,to say that I'm convicted by you know,
a Democratic judge democratic prosecutor, youknow, with high ranking DOJ democratic

(06:59):
official supporting them is one thing, but your own Justice department down you too
incompetent to stand trial in your investigation. So I mean that's kind of that's
the only reason Joe Biden hasn't beenindicted is because they said he's too incompetent,
too senile. Yep, that's goingon. That would have been a
mic drop moment, Attorney Joe Wilson, I really would have. By the
way, as we had out here, do you think there was a mic

(07:20):
drop moment or was it just thefighting about golf? That probably is one
thing that was, you know, semi entertaining. I think eyes were rolling
all over America during that scene lastnight, from probably both sides of the
isle. I mean, it wasjust like whatever. I think the big
mic drop was when early in thedebate where the president FROs and the debate
moderator had to bail them out. This Big Fail. Friday edition of That
