Now, we all were waiting for this humongous storm to
make landfall out there in Florida, and yesterday it did
come through Tampa. Now, by the time it hit landfall,
it was at a category three storm. About one hundred
and twenty miles per hour winds were out there thrashing
through the streets, and a lot of folks were terrified
on what this was gonna do to the area. Of course,

you know, most folks had already evacuated. They now have
about three million folks without power. They did say they
have about four confirmed fatalities out there as well. But honestly,
from what it looked like, the devastation wasn't as tragic
as we thought it would be.

I mean, there's a lot of flooding, so once that clears,
then we'll really see what has been done. But we
saw videos online like the Tampa Bay Rays the roof
of their stadium basically was ripped off, but it looked
like it was like made of material or something. We
were expecting full buildings to be crashing around and floating
around like in the Wizard of Oz. But thankfully it

weakened and now it's at a category two. And you've
seen different little tornadoes running around the Tampa Bay and
Florida area. But I mean, people were so worried about
the devastation and how bad it was really going to be.
They were calling into places and just saying they don't
have any help, They're worry blah blah blah.

flooding down So we'll see by the end of day
or tomorrow, like how bad.

gun violence, whether we're talking with victims, having events surrounding

a celebration or a fundraiser for the families for victims,
or just doing a gun buy back to where they
take these guns and they melt them down and they
make art. A big piece you can see out there
at the Golden State Warriors Chase Center. They bought a
big piece and put it out there because it represents
you know, peace in the streets basically and getting rid
of these guns and giving people opportunities to not only

take the lives of others but their own with these
weapons that just shouldn't be out there.

come through Tampa. Now, by the time it hit landfall,
it was at a category three storm. About one hundred
and twenty miles per hour winds were out there thrashing
through the streets, and a lot of folks were terrified
on what this was gonna do to the area. Of course,

you know, most folks had already evacuated. They now have
about three million folks without power. They did say they
have about four confirmed fatalities out there as well. But honestly,
from what it looked like, the devastation wasn't as tragic
as we thought it would be.

I mean, there's a lot of flooding, so once that clears,
then we'll really see what has been done. But we
saw videos online like the Tampa Bay Rays the roof
of their stadium basically was ripped off, but it looked
like it was like made of material or something. We
were expecting full buildings to be crashing around and floating
around like in the Wizard of Oz. But thankfully it

weakened and now it's at a category two. And you've
seen different little tornadoes running around the Tampa Bay and
Florida area. But I mean, people were so worried about
the devastation and how bad it was really going to be.
They were calling into places and just saying they don't

not paying attention because we tag team with them a
lot throughout the year as much as we can to
do different events, and most of it is all surrounding
gun violence, whether we're talking with victims, having events surrounding

a celebration or a fundraiser for the families for victims,
or just doing a gun buy back to where they
take these guns and they melt them down and they
make art. A big piece you can see out there
at the Golden State Warriors Chase Center. They bought a
big piece and put it out there because it represents
you know, peace in the streets basically and getting rid
of these guns and giving people opportunities to not only

take the lives of others but their own with these
weapons that just shouldn't be out there.

Being used the way that they do.
Speaker 2 (15:47):
So Rudy's in the building, yea, and talk about thirty
years in the game.

What have you noticed, like the difference between when you
first started, you know, this movement, you know, like from
the beginning of the very first year to now thirty years.

Well you have united players and that you have divided haters,
and as time goes on, not too many people are
comfortable coming together. You know. It's more about me, me, me,
and it's rare to find that old school kind of
like you know, camaraderie trying to unite.

But I mean, you know, I'm very hopeful.

Yeah, you know, I'm always pushing that line and starting
at a prevention age when they're really young, to try
to bring and install that in the found children. The
number one killer young kids now nineteen and younger. It's
gun violence, whether it be suicide, domestic violence, all those
quarter violence.

So what y'all got going on for this thirty piece? Yeah?

actual party, you know, to celebrate. It's a fun but

drink that they gave me. And then after they thought
I took a couple of drinks because I was faking it,
they came over. My manager left, and I'm standing there
by myself, the only woman in this studio area, and
here come Kanye and Diddy. And then it got worse

Coming to hers me more, and they're trying to like
take my clothes off and sticking to the point where
they have like ripped my shirt off. I'm like almost
fully ex so to this point and her both coming
at me, I realized that I was completely alone, and

or if she said how it ended, but nobody would
help her in the room and they just kept pawing

what's been happening in the streets because they know that
the crime is going up.

there's crime, but there's crime in Oakland. There's crime in

Those families are happy. It's just where you navigate and
it does have its areas. But yeah, the mayor is
just like, I'm tired of my city looking like this.
So they're putting another five hundred k toward getting more
patrol officers out there.

As we saw with Oakland, you know, the governor came
in and intervened.

It was like, we need more eyes, we need more feet,
we need more patrol cards to at least give a presence.

And that worked. So the mayor is like, let's put

We were left with a depleted police force as a
result of the leadership performer city manager Ron Burnell.

And so what we're doing here today is we're fixing
his mess.

The lack of police presence has created in some instances
of free for all for certain communities.

So we're trying to clean up his mess and we're
