Speaker 1 (00:00):
Show requested. So here it is. As long as you've
got da-da-data. It's ZM's Brian Clint Podcast. I saw this
clip today, which I thought was quite funny.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
I always know someone's a loser like six months before
anyone else does. And it's one of my superpowers, but
it's also my kryptonite because it makes me look like
I'm a total hater because I'm early to it, but
I don't have any evidence. And so when I bring
it up to someone and I soft launch that I
dislike them, they just don't understand. And everybody eventually figures
it out six months later and they don't come crawling
back to you. They just bring it up like it's
something they discovered and they're totally shocked. And meanwhile, you

(00:31):
told them many months ago.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
But you saw it coming. This is having a good
read on people.

Speaker 3 (00:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
That's what he's talking about, right? That's his superpower, yeah.

Speaker 4 (00:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
And having a good.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
Gut feel about what a person's actually like.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
But I think he's learned you need to keep that
stuff to yourself because no one wants to hear it.
And no one's going to come back to you and go, oh,
my God, you were so right about Bree. Why are
you using me as an example? Reminds me of my superpower,
which is also a curse, which I've talked to you about.
And I can't do it on demand. You can't point
to a business and ask me this. But if I

(01:05):
pass a business or I enter a business, I know
I get this feeling that comes over me and I
don't look for it. It just comes to me when
it comes to me. I can tell when that business
is going to close down or when they're going to rebrand.
Those are the two things I can tell. And you
might go, Clint, we can all do that if our
business looks shabby or empty, obviously. No, it's deeper than that.

Speaker 3 (01:26):
Your power is nearly as useless as my power, which
is guessing movie plot lines, which I mean, I do
use my power on this show.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
So not useless. So not useless.

Speaker 3 (01:37):
I also have this incredible knack for being able to
look at any sourdough and I can tell you how
good it is just by looking at it.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
Now, the cynic in me would say, are you looking
at the price?

Speaker 3 (01:51):
No, I honestly, hand on heart, I don't need to
see the price. If you just place sourdoughs in front
of me, just from the look of them, I can
tell you which one is the best.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
Claudia, sounds like a perfect excuse to put five sourdoughs
on the company card. Oh, go on then.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
Can we have a slice to taste them as well
or do you get to have the whole thing?

Speaker 1 (02:09):
Can we all take a sourdough home? No, no, we're
all going to taste them.

Speaker 4 (02:12):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
Because we need to know if she was right or not.

Speaker 4 (02:15):
Oh, true.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
We'll buy the good butter as well then. Get the
good butter, get a good jar of olive oil.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
Ooh.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
A bit of vinegar. And a little bit of kosher salt. Oh,
this sounds fabulous. I'll bring the vegan cheese.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
Yuck.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
Vegan cheese. Why did you have to come in there
and ruin it? Why did you ruin it? You could
have said hummus. We would have been on board with hummus.
You could have said honey. Hummus and hot sauce I'll bring.
Hot sauce. Claudia, you got a superpower?

Speaker 3 (02:42):
Yeah, and mine's useless to me, but beneficial to others.
I'm a notorious avocado hater, but I can pick a
good one.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
Really? Every avocado I've ever bought has been perfect.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
What an awful power for you, the avocado hater, to have.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
It's really impressive for other people, and they enjoy it,
but I don't benefit at all. My wife cut an
avocado yesterday, which we both agreed looked like it was perfect,
and it even felt perfect.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
And?

Speaker 1 (03:06):
It wasn't.

Speaker 4 (03:07):
Oh.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
They were still hard in the middle. And once you've
cut them, they just don't ripen. They don't. I could
have told you that. They stay hard. Do you know
how hard it was in this economy to put an
avocado in the bin? Yeah, that's rough. Are you okay? Well,
I wanted to just eat it out of spite and
get a sore tummy. Do you get a sore tummy
when you have bad ovo?

Speaker 3 (03:25):
Well, anything that's not ripe enough can give you a
sore tummy.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
Do you have a superpower? That's what we wanted to
know this afternoon, whether it's useful or useless. It's yours.
You were born with it. Or maybe you've honed it
over a number of years. Yeah. I have a superpower
that has faded, but I reckon I can bring it back. Well,
what is it? I can weigh luggage. Particularly good when
we're travelling. A lot of men say that they're good

(03:50):
at this. Pick up a suitcase and I can tell you, yeah,
that's 16 kilos.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
And then we can weigh it and see how close
you are. A power I still have in the kitchen
is that I can look at something like leftovers and
I can pick the exact container of how.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
Much it's going to fit. That's right. That's a good
one too. Which is a fantastic power. That's useful. It
is useful. We're just discussing our superpowers. And we want
to hear your superpowers too. My superpower, being able to
tell if a business is going to close down. Bree's superpower,
being able to tell if a sourdough is good or bad.
Just by looking at it. Just by looking at it.

(04:26):
Mine's just by looking at it too. I'm not going
through their books or anything.

Speaker 3 (04:30):
Someone said– Clint's like, so, guys, you're in trouble.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
Yeah, I've had a look. The financials are not good.
Someone said, Clint's superpower is talking over the top of
Claudia and Brie when they're trying to talk. You are
very good at that. Yeah, that's definitely your power. That
text is brutal. Oh.

Speaker 4 (04:54):
Oh.

Speaker 1 (04:54):
Anything else you want to say? Are you done? Yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
Can we allow two?

Speaker 1 (04:58):
Well, if I'm scared to talk because you're going to
just butt in. Oh, he's giving you the room.

Speaker 4 (05:02):
This is incredible.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
I want to move on so badly. Let's do it.
I don't care. Let's do it. Kieran's here. Hi, Kieran. Hi, Kieran.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
Hi.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
What's your superpower, Kieran?

Speaker 4 (05:12):
My superpower is getting babies to sleep.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
Oh, have you met my friend Bree?

Speaker 2 (05:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
Do you want to come over to my house, Kieran?

Speaker 2 (05:20):
Absolutely.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
I would love to have you over. How does 3 a.m.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
Sound?

Speaker 1 (05:27):
What's the secret? Can you sum it up easily?

Speaker 4 (05:31):
Depends on the baby. Just, you know, different techniques for
different children. I think rocking them, rubbing their foreheads.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
Bumpats? You must have an energy that babies appreciate, Kieran.
Must do. Yeah. Calming energy. Okay, that's a very useful superpower.
Let's go to Taylor. Hi, Taylor. Hi, Taylor.

Speaker 4 (05:54):
Hi, long-time listener, first-time caller here. How are you doing?

Speaker 1 (05:56):
First time. Go, Taylor.

Speaker 4 (05:57):
Go, Taylor. First time.

Speaker 1 (06:02):
Good to have you on, Taylor. What's your superpower?

Speaker 4 (06:04):
So my weird power is if I've been to a
location even once and I see a photo with part
of that location in it, I can identify it.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (06:13):
So for example, a friend sent a photo of a
drink she had in Thailand and I had been there
before and I was able to ask if it was
a certain bar because I could see the floor and
I recognised it.

Speaker 1 (06:23):
Holy hell. You're like Google Maps. You're like Google Street View.

Speaker 4 (06:29):
I wish it was like a photographic memory for other things,
but it doesn't seem to really.

Speaker 1 (06:32):
Come in handy. It's very annoying because I feel like
I've got a really good memory for things like song lyrics,
but I can't remember phone numbers. Yeah, same. Yeah. Mine's
for movies, but nothing else. Lara's here. Hey, Lara.

Speaker 3 (06:46):
Hi, Lara.

Speaker 1 (06:47):
Hello. What's your mum's superpower, Lara?

Speaker 3 (06:50):
My mum's superpower, you know when you're on the trampoline
and you get like electrocuted?

Speaker 1 (06:55):
Yeah. My mum is awesome. Always electrocuting people.

Speaker 2 (06:59):
Really?

Speaker 1 (06:59):
She's statically charged, your mother? Yeah. Oh my God.

Speaker 3 (07:03):
I wonder what that means in a person. Must mean
they have something in their body or their system.

Speaker 1 (07:08):
Does she wear a lot of polyester, your mother? No,
she is a cotton person.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
Okay. Does she, I'm trying to think, does she go
down a lot of plastic slides at playgrounds? They always
used to charge me up going down the plastic slide. No, no. Yeah, wow. No,
my mum, no. You've got the amazing electric mother, Lara. Yeah,
I do.

Speaker 3 (07:32):
It says on Google that the body is building up
and releasing static electricity. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
But I wonder why. Maybe she needs earthing. Yeah, maybe
she needs grounding. Maybe she's one of those cars. You
know how those cars used to have a bit of
rubber hanging out the back on the ground? Maybe your
mum needs to drag a bit of rubber behind her, Lara.
My mum, she is grounding all day, but oh well.
She's obviously thinking about it. She needs a good pair
of rubber shoes, maybe. We are Splits Your Superpower. Someone said,

(08:01):
I have the power of mind control, but it only
works on myself.

Speaker 4 (08:06):
See?

Speaker 3 (08:06):
I don't even have that. That's a great power, though,
to have good mind control.

Speaker 1 (08:11):
Tim said, I can measure distance in metres with my
strides down to 2% accuracy. I see I need to
see that now. I'd love to see Tim in action.
He must just be the perfect height. He must be
the perfect leg length. Yeah, like his stride is like
a perfect metre. Because everyone's stride is meant to be
approximately a metre. I feel like builders have an incredible

(08:31):
knack for measuring things just by eyeballing it. My superpower
is addition and multiplication. Super beneficial when doing girl math
to justify buying something I don't need. Yeah, that's good.
That is good. What about this?

Speaker 3 (08:44):
I can tell you what helicopter is flying over by
just the sound of it.

Speaker 2 (08:49):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (08:50):
That's amazing. I've heard of a train spotter.

Speaker 3 (08:52):
That's like people, what about people like that woman on
Clarkson's farm who can tell what bird it was just
by hearing it?

Speaker 1 (08:59):
She was amazing. She was incredible. Yeah, yeah. If you
give me a bunch of paper, I can tell you
if that will fit into a small envelope or not.
Love that. That's good. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (09:10):
Someone said, I can spot a cop car from miles away.
People doubt me until it drives past.

Speaker 2 (09:18):
Yeah, good.

Speaker 1 (09:18):
You're like those radar detectors.

Speaker 4 (09:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:21):
I can play Mary had a little lamb on my
head like a bongo. It doesn't come through on the
phone though. I tried it with Fletchford and Hayley. I
had to send them a video and they left me
on scene. Those morning rascals. Where is that person? We
need to bring them into the studio.

Speaker 2 (09:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:38):
For a performance.

Speaker 3 (09:39):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:40):
We'll mic you up. I remember. We should put them
in the ZM Acoustic Corner. That would be. To perform
Mary Had a Little Lamb on Their Bongo Heads. Impressive. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (09:50):
I remember as a kid I used to hit my
head and it would sound hollow.

Speaker 1 (09:54):
Give us a demo. I'll push your mic up. Okay,
here we go.

Speaker 2 (10:01):
Wow!

Speaker 1 (10:04):
Is it pretty hollow? Wow, that was like an empty coconut.
They always said there wasn't much going on up top.
Why didn't you say that was your superpower? I didn't
give a shit about the sourdough. I forgot about it
until just then. I don't know what mine sounds like now. Sorry. Yeah,
you give it a go. So you just hit it

(10:25):
on the top. Okay.

Speaker 2 (10:27):
Ow.

Speaker 1 (10:28):
You've got to take your headphones off. Oh, okay. Here
we go. Hello, come in.

Speaker 2 (10:36):
Anything?

Speaker 1 (10:37):
