Speaker 4 (00:25):
Afternoon, everybody, and welcome to the Bree and Clint Show.
Speaker 5 (00:29):
Some feedback from my partner on those intros. Oh yeah, okay,
she likes it when there's just one. She reckons there's
more cut through when we just have one standard one. Okay,
And I said, I like quite like changing them up.
Speaker 4 (00:44):
Well, we have to hit them every day, so we
like a bit of variation. Yeah, but I get it.
It's like they don't change the intro to the news
every day to they but imagine if they did that,
the loss of Stokes isn't sit in there going. I
wonder if I'll get the y m c A news
intro today.
Speaker 5 (00:58):
I would like that.
Speaker 2 (01:00):
I vote we do that.
Speaker 4 (01:02):
Hey, it's the last Brion Clint Afternoon show that you're
going to hear for a while because tomorrow we switched
to the mornings for a bit.
Speaker 5 (01:08):
Yes, Sir Fletcheran and Hayley are off on holiday, well deserved,
so we're going to be filling in for them.
Speaker 4 (01:14):
Then Bri'll be doing some shows in the afternoon without
me while I'm having a week off, and then I'll
be doing some shows without.
Speaker 2 (01:20):
Brie while she has a baby.
Speaker 5 (01:22):
Yep. So then we'll reconvene on I don't know, carried
the one before the end of the year, before the
end of the year, Yeah, yep, yeah, give or take.
Speaker 4 (01:32):
Definitely before the end of the year. Not before Martiniki though, nah.
Speaker 2 (01:35):
No amen. So let's get into it. Let's do Trady
versus Lady.
Speaker 4 (01:40):
The scores of forty seven to fifty three ladies have
extended the lead. After I said the gap doesn't change,
the laddies will like, over my dead body, it doesn't,
and they've put the pedal to the middle and they're
out to a six point leads.
Speaker 5 (01:53):
Sure, if you want to make it bigger or maybe
close the gap, you need to call now, plays Brian
clind Trading Verse Ladies.
Speaker 2 (02:01):
This is the very Rouch treaty.
Speaker 5 (02:04):
This is Lady score update for the year. The ladies
out in front are fifty three wins for the year.
Speaker 2 (02:13):
The trade's on forty seven.
Speaker 4 (02:15):
Lady is in timrou she's thirty one and she has
won Trady verse Lady twice last year. Welcome to the show, Lauren.
Speaker 5 (02:23):
Hello Lauren, you're a reigning champion, then, yes, definitely. What
what would you say is your specialty subject if you
had to pick one? Oh, probably movie movies.
Speaker 4 (02:36):
Are you good at the song questions? You know how
we always ask a song question yes and no.
Speaker 6 (02:40):
It depends what the song is.
Speaker 2 (02:41):
Yea, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 4 (02:42):
Okay, Well you've got stiff competition, tician, because our trade
is from Dunedin. He's thirty eight and he has a
one hundred percent success rate in this game too. It's
a heavy hitters round. Welcome to the show, Nathan, Hi, Nathan, good.
Speaker 5 (02:55):
Looks like it's going to be battle of the best.
What would your specialty subject be?
Speaker 2 (03:03):
A bit of everything?
Speaker 3 (03:04):
I suppose?
Speaker 4 (03:04):
Yeah, right, okay, I can say there is at least
one movie question and there which will play to Lauren's
strength and Nathan's good at everything, so time. Yeah, here
we go, guys, Lauren, Lady Nathan Trady. Those are your buzzeres.
First of three wins the fifty bucks. Good luck.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
I'm so interested to see how this game turns out.
Speaker 5 (03:21):
Hot on those buzzeres, guys, don't wait for me to
finish the question. If you know.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
Question number one.
Speaker 5 (03:25):
The All Black season kicks off this weekend in christ
Church against who.
Speaker 2 (03:30):

Speaker 5 (03:33):
It is France. Well done, one to the trades. Question
number two, wish actor played both The Parent Trap Twins
in the nineteen ninety eight remake.
Speaker 4 (03:42):
Yes, Lauren, Mary k oh my gosh, no it's not.
Speaker 6 (03:51):
I could you repeat the question that was broken up
with that.
Speaker 5 (03:53):
Which actor played both the Parent Trap Twins and the
nineteen ninety eight remake?
Speaker 4 (03:59):
You three two?
Speaker 2 (04:05):
Yep, you're right there, well done.
Speaker 5 (04:08):
Question number three buzzing when you can tell me who
sings this?
Speaker 2 (04:14):
Nathan? It is Taylor Swift and that's the win?
Speaker 4 (04:19):
Is that is that? That's it, that's game over.
Speaker 2 (04:26):
Ses.
Speaker 4 (04:26):
It went faster than I thought it would.
Speaker 2 (04:29):
I love Lauren, call back anytime. Okay, perfect, Thank you Nathan.
Speaker 5 (04:33):
Your day to day fifty bucks and a win going
to the trade. He's well done.
Speaker 3 (04:38):
Yes, you are them Free and Clint CDMs Free and
Clint Podcast.
Speaker 4 (04:46):
I saw this question on one of the news sites
today which said, what is the treaty that you refuse
to give up even in a cost of living crisis?
Speaker 5 (04:55):
Like we're aware it is cost a cost of living crisis.
Times are tough, but there is about the one thing
in your life where you're like, I'm never given this
up or it will be the last to go.
Speaker 4 (05:05):
Treaties make life worth living, and they make the hard
times bearable a lot of the time. And they can
be little or they can be large, but if they
bring you joy, I would argue, I'm no economist, I'm
no budgeter, but I would argue that they're free well,
and their value is more than just monetary.
Speaker 5 (05:22):
Yeah, there's not a monetary value that you can put
on something that brings you that much joy, unless.
Speaker 4 (05:27):
There is, unless it's a ninety dollars moisturizer. But even then,
even then, you know, can we work it into the budget.
Some of the examples they give were cafe coffees. Yeah,
it's a treaty that some people can't do without. They're
a little bit of joy in the day. Streaming subscriptions
you might have cut down, but you go, I've got
my core three that I'm going to keep. This is
(05:48):
what brings me joy, and those are all fine, but
I think we can think of other ones. Except for me,
who's kind of struggled with what my treaties are, And
I asked Ella, and she said what I thought it
would be as well, okay, which is very basic.
Speaker 2 (06:03):
But what is What does she say? I think it's
beers off, like fancy beers heinekens.
Speaker 4 (06:10):
Okay, but I will keep a full beer fridge because
that's what brings me joy. I like to know that
at any time, in any situation, there is a full
fridge of beers.
Speaker 2 (06:18):
To that counts.
Speaker 4 (06:19):
Okay, good, well, that's my treaty. Yep, what's your treaty?
Speaker 2 (06:23):
I know we know what yours is. I think we
all know. Can we guess?
Speaker 4 (06:26):
He go on, Claudia, do.
Speaker 5 (06:27):
You know that the producers not?
Speaker 7 (06:30):
The only thing I can think of is your brand
of tuna that you know that is.
Speaker 2 (06:34):
Kind of a treaty.
Speaker 4 (06:35):
It's your fifteen dollars loaf of sour dough.
Speaker 5 (06:39):
Can I just say it's thirteen dollars fifteen?
Speaker 4 (06:42):
Excuse us?
Speaker 5 (06:43):
Sorry? And I tried to go get the supermarket brand sourdough,
but it's just not the same.
Speaker 4 (06:49):
It's okay, because it's your treaty. It's not like all
of your groceries come from that artisan bakery.
Speaker 5 (06:54):
I just can't go back to the other option now,
like it's just too and it brings.
Speaker 2 (07:00):
Me so much joy.
Speaker 5 (07:02):
And you know another thing that I thought of, which
I think this is going to actually go once babies
here and we're on one income. That's something I do
and have always treated myself too for many years. Expensive
shampoo and condition I reckon this the bottle that I'm
currently on is going to be the last one.
Speaker 4 (07:23):
What are you on? Are you on the Kurrastars?
Speaker 5 (07:26):
I'm on the Cara Stars.
Speaker 4 (07:28):
You're on the Kira Stars And I love.
Speaker 5 (07:30):
It so much, but I I think I'm gonna have
to think about it.
Speaker 4 (07:36):
Who are the Keira Stars Ambassadors in New Zealand? Is
it Hannah Barrett? I think it might be Hannah Barrett.
Speaker 2 (07:40):
She goes to the gym I go to.
Speaker 5 (07:41):
I should ask her if she gets any free w Yeah,
ask her, Hey, Hannah, can you swing me a couple
of bottles of Ask.
Speaker 4 (07:48):
Her for the hearthy it's in her gym bag and
then she'll just tell Kira Stars that she ran out
and they'll get her a fresh boy.
Speaker 5 (07:55):
I reckon she just gets as much as she wants.
I'd be like, Hannah, can you get me this one?
She's like, we've different color hair.
Speaker 4 (08:01):
I could be wrong, she might not be, but I
think she is.
Speaker 2 (08:04):
What a what a beautiful union if she is. Ella,
what's your little treaty?
Speaker 7 (08:10):
I've got a couple.
Speaker 4 (08:11):
Yeah, so if you've just joined us, these are your
treaties that you refuse to give up even in a
cost of living crisis.
Speaker 7 (08:17):
Definitely coffee every day. That brings me joy.
Speaker 8 (08:20):
Yes, I would say brunch on the weekends. I love
going out with my husband or friends and just spending
too much on brunch. But it's fun and it brings.
Speaker 4 (08:30):
Me exectivity is good and you think and you don't
hit the clubs. So going to a cafe is kind
of like your and I'm a lot.
Speaker 2 (08:39):
Yeah, yeah, that's fine. Okay, it's nice or.
Speaker 7 (08:41):
A massage if I'm feeling.
Speaker 5 (08:43):
Naughtial the.
Speaker 2 (08:47):
Same week.
Speaker 7 (08:48):
Treaty it's like every three months or think Claudia.
Speaker 5 (08:52):
I feel like the obvious one for me is.
Speaker 7 (08:53):
Chocolates, Like I always get the Whittakers.
Speaker 8 (08:55):
I'm getting the nice one, even though it's like eight
dollars a block.
Speaker 2 (08:58):
At the moment there's a block of Winkers. It's become
like an actual treaty expense.
Speaker 4 (09:04):
But you know what, I appreciate, though, is that they've
never made the block smaller.
Speaker 2 (09:08):
They're transparent, and that's why it costs more. I'd be
happy with a smaller block if I can save a
little bit. Really need to put out a half I'm
going to eat the whole block because it don't look
good for your waistline.
Speaker 4 (09:21):
A half block, half block will be really good for
those of us without self control like me. You know, yeah,
you've going through to be going through a block and
a night as only half a block night?
Speaker 2 (09:33):
Do you in claude?
Speaker 5 (09:34):
I could if I live myself.
Speaker 4 (09:36):
You well, you and a partner could go through a
block a night on a bad week.
Speaker 2 (09:41):
Me and my partner will go through a block of
Wittakers a week on a good week.
Speaker 4 (09:45):
That's different.
Speaker 2 (09:46):
A week is a week. Yeah, so we have a
couple of lots fourteen serves out of your block of winkers.
Speaker 4 (09:53):
That's not indulgent.
Speaker 2 (09:54):
I didn't four week, I said that working week.
Speaker 3 (09:57):
You didn't.
Speaker 2 (09:58):
You literally did? Okay, now I literally did it five days.
That's crazy, outrageous, you, you glutton one hundred dials.
Speaker 8 (10:09):
It in.
Speaker 2 (10:11):
No soaldo for any of you. What's noting any So.
Speaker 4 (10:15):
Someone texted and said, my treaty is petrol. I ain't
about to walk. No, Petrol's not a treaty as a necessity.
Please don't think you're treating yourself to petrol. Yeah you
deserve petrol, Yeah you need petrol. Your treaty, you know
the thing that brings you joy that you refuse to
give up no matter how grim things get.
Speaker 2 (10:34):
Like it's never never going.
Speaker 4 (10:38):
The question is, even in the cost of living crisis,
what is the little treaty that you refuse to give
up to the people that have texted and said, can
Clint please stop saying the word treaty, I hear you,
I see you. Even I started to give myself the
equed that word.
Speaker 5 (10:51):
By the end of the blast, you saying the word nickers,
I regon knickers, panties, panties. Yeah, treaties, little treaty, sweety treaty.
Speaker 2 (11:04):
But what is it?
Speaker 4 (11:05):
Breeze's expensive bread minus beers, Ella's. Ella's was weirdly lavish.
Actually Ella's was massages, enormous brunches and coffees.
Speaker 2 (11:17):
But you do you girl?
Speaker 7 (11:18):
Well, I don't have many other hobbies apart from gardening.
Speaker 4 (11:20):
Yeah, that one's basically free.
Speaker 7 (11:22):
Well, soil is very expensive.
Speaker 5 (11:24):
So how is soil expensive? Because I like gardening too.
Every time I go to the garden shop, I'm like,
how am I paying heaps of money.
Speaker 2 (11:32):
For the nutrients?
Speaker 4 (11:34):
It's the big good?
Speaker 7 (11:36):
Like the garden people get it good.
Speaker 8 (11:37):
Soil is what causes plants to grow, and so they
can upsell done soil.
Speaker 2 (11:43):
Like when did we put a high price on soil?
Speaker 7 (11:45):
Ridiculous?
Speaker 2 (11:46):
Pathetic?
Speaker 4 (11:46):
If your treaty is soil, So we want to know
what is your little treaty that you refuse to give up?
Tessa's here high, Tessa, Hi, Tessa? What is it for you? Tessa?
No matter how things hard things get, you will not
go with out what I have?
Speaker 6 (12:02):

Speaker 5 (12:18):
Disney. Did she say?
Speaker 2 (12:20):
She said?
Speaker 4 (12:20):
Disney?
Speaker 2 (12:21):
Are you going to get out of they? You one?
Speaker 9 (12:24):
Now You've just been updated and I'm thinking about leading
Prime because how are you.
Speaker 2 (12:29):
Going to get Are you going to get the new
HBO Max?
Speaker 9 (12:32):

Speaker 4 (12:32):

Speaker 6 (12:33):

Speaker 4 (12:58):

but it's good.
Speaker 2 (13:02):
Thanks.
Speaker 4 (13:02):
Tessa. Ebbs is here, Hey, Ebbs, Ebbs, Hello, hello Ebbs
or ebbsb eb Ebbs. What's your what's your treaty?
Speaker 2 (13:10):
Ebbs?
Speaker 6 (13:11):
Oh, my one is different. I love going to the
fitness event. Okay, like maybe an average sixty year So.
Speaker 5 (13:19):
What are we talking like?
Speaker 2 (13:20):
Triathlons, marathons, marathons, half marathon, high rock. Wow. Ours is
beer and bread, and yours is becoming the best version
of yourself, Ebbes.
Speaker 5 (13:30):
Way to make us feel bad?
Speaker 6 (13:32):
You know, you know what's because of the shoes?
Speaker 2 (13:36):
Shoes? Because are you digging to buying the shoes?
Speaker 4 (13:39):
Yeah, okay, buying all the gear is a fun part
of it.
Speaker 2 (13:43):
That is a good part.
Speaker 4 (13:44):
And we asked, what is the treat that you refuse
to give up. Someone said I am die hard whittakers.
I will pay thirty dollars a block. I will not
sink to anything below. Don't let them hear you say that,
because they'll put it up.
Speaker 5 (13:55):
Yeah exactly. Someone said, finishing your whole box at pre
drinks to save money into it's.
Speaker 4 (14:01):
Your special YouTube premium. I will not watch videos with ads,
thank you very much.
Speaker 5 (14:07):
Someone else tixed in and said Fabriget eggs. I can't
go without a Fabrige egg is like the eggs that
they decorate.
Speaker 4 (14:16):
Right, and they're incredibly expel a China egg. Yeah, like
tens of thousands of dollars.
Speaker 5 (14:22):
I need to know how many Fabriget eggs that person
has and how often are you buying?
Speaker 2 (14:27):
I think they're being a fabrige egg? Are they fabrigeting
the truth?
Speaker 4 (14:31):
I think they are and being an egg. Someone said,
my treaty is three ply toilet paper. Yeah, well that
shouldn't be a treaty should do you know what I
got the other day? What? Because it was on special
four ply?
Speaker 5 (14:45):
How's four ply very thick? You have to be careful
of the four ply because it can clog the pipe.
Speaker 2 (14:50):
I did worry about that, Yeah, I did worry.
Speaker 5 (14:52):
Especially that the.
Speaker 2 (14:55):
Costco brand one. Oh you had problem with Costco e It.
Speaker 5 (14:58):
Was great on the enorse bad for the pipes. My
house pipes, not my pipes.
Speaker 4 (15:03):
Did you clog your pipes up?
Speaker 2 (15:04):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (15:05):
Someone say my daily injergery gee, drinking coke zero.
Speaker 5 (15:09):
Someone said, getting my nails done once a fortnite. I
feel like there'd be a lot of people this is
doing that. That's their little treat and that's cool. That's
self care, right. Yeah, someone to be asked what your
treat is?
Speaker 4 (15:19):
This is a good one. They said, large hot chippies
with the kids at knitball on a Monday night when
it's so cold. It's awesome.
Speaker 5 (15:28):
That just took me straight back to my childhood with
my mum at the YMCA and we'd get hot chips
and gravy.
Speaker 4 (15:36):
He chips and gravy. Someone says, white monster twelve cans
a week. Caffeine has a hold on me and I
will not yield.
Speaker 5 (15:47):
Hey, you treat yourself. What about the titleist? Pro v
one golf balls instead of pinnacles. Would love for the
team to try and process this.
Speaker 4 (15:55):
Well, we can process it easily. It's the better golf ball.
You like the better golf ball.
Speaker 5 (15:58):
Yeah, you want to spend more.
Speaker 4 (16:00):
You're a ball snob. Yeah. Bacon, French rose, carpity, triple
chocolate ice cream. Oh yeah, hell yeah.
Speaker 5 (16:09):
Someone said my treat is definitely my micro needling once
a month, once a month.
Speaker 2 (16:13):
Go you girl.
Speaker 4 (16:14):
These are the treats you won't give up on a
cost of living crisis.
Speaker 2 (16:17):
This one.
Speaker 5 (16:18):
There are days that I indulge myself with already made
tiramassou that you can buy from Woolies. I think it's
eleven dollars each now, but it's so good I can
eat half of it in one sitting.
Speaker 4 (16:29):
The treaty I refuse to give up as the treaty
of white, tonguey, mouldy hard.
Speaker 2 (16:34):
Yeah, don't give that up.
Speaker 4 (16:36):
That's important.
Speaker 2 (16:37):
It doesn't matter how bad this cost of living grassis gets. Again.
Can climply stop saying treaty. I will soon, Okay, I
want to stop.
Speaker 5 (16:43):
This one's so relatable in my opinion. They said, I
will always buy the Watties tomato sauce and the Dilma
tea bags always, no questions asked.
Speaker 4 (16:54):
Yeah, I bought the Budget mayonnaise the other day. Not
not the.
Speaker 5 (16:58):
Same, Aye, So some things you can by the budget
version of.
Speaker 4 (17:02):
Yeah, oh no, my budget maynaise. I bought lights mayonnaise.
That was the problem.
Speaker 2 (17:06):
I think light mayonnaise tastes the same.
Speaker 5 (17:08):
Oh really Yeah, maybe I've just forced myself to believe it.
Speaker 4 (17:13):
Everything tastes better on fifteen dollar bread. Breathe there, it
means Branklin the Tea Live from LA with Dee McCartney.
Speaker 8 (17:22):
Dan.
Speaker 5 (17:23):
The rumors are swirling Taylor Swift is marrying Travis Kelcey.
People are saying it's this Friday in New York City,
but they're also saying they reckon, there's going to be
more famous people there than at the met Gala.
Speaker 10 (17:37):
They are absolutely saying that it is going to be
a Who's who so, which is a retraction of what
I originally thought.
Speaker 2 (17:43):
I thought, they.
Speaker 10 (17:43):
Don't need to have big celebrities there. They are the
big celebrities, do you know what I mean? Like, they
don't need people for clouds. They are the clouds. Yeah,
but I believe they are inviting.
Speaker 2 (17:52):
Orbit, do you think about it?
Speaker 10 (17:53):
Kelly is very popular, and now that I think about it,
I'm like, I think they want a flex. I mean,
they have apparently booked the Madison Square Garden in the
middle of New York City, mostly because of it is
the most phenomenally secure location, Like there'll be no paparazi,
no one can get anywhere near them. It's very very
secure building. And everyone's invited apparently, like the apparently Givin
(18:14):
Nixon is going to be performing, Tim McGraw performing. And
what's fascinating. I think all of the one thousand guests
have had to sign an NDA, but the NDA does
not have a financial penalty or punishment.
Speaker 2 (18:28):
That's so interesting.
Speaker 5 (18:29):
So they've all signed an NDA where they can't talk
about the wedding or release photos or anything like that.
But you're saying there's no financial penalty attached that NDA.
Speaker 2 (18:39):
So what is it punishable by death? I guess punishable.
Speaker 4 (18:43):
That's scare punishable by extradition from the circle, you know.
Speaker 2 (18:49):
Yeah, yeah, how good would this be?
Speaker 5 (18:55):
If they do?
Speaker 2 (18:56):
Then Taylor Swift will write a song about you.
Speaker 4 (18:59):
Yeah, that could launch some people's career though, that kind
of thing. So we're pretty much it's pretty much definitely happening, right,
The rumors are pretty much definitely true. I've seen them
packing into Medicine Square gardens. There's pictures on TMZ dean
of them loading in this enormous white staircase.
Speaker 2 (19:16):
Have you seen that? Oh no, I haven't seen that. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (19:20):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (19:20):
And I wonder because it's all being set up and
stage and everything. I wonder if there's a chance that
she makes content out of it, like a documentary, like
a film, like a winning film of some sort, which
which you cringe at.
Speaker 2 (19:32):
But do you know how much money that would make
on Disney? It would make a fortune.
Speaker 4 (19:38):
It'd be crazy, wouldn't it be?
Speaker 10 (19:40):
It would be crazy. And the other thing is, though,
even if it wasn't for money, I feel like she
might do it for the fans.
Speaker 4 (19:46):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's a great points.
Speaker 10 (19:50):
I think it might actually be something that she shares
with them because they've been on the journey of her
love yea, the whole album, her whole career has been
about falling in love. What is this guy right now?
Speaker 2 (19:58):
She gets him? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (19:59):
This is this is the season finale, isn't it? And
Kaneshian filmed her winning to Chris humphreyes and that was fine, Yeah,
nothing wrong.
Speaker 2 (20:09):
Yeah, and they were definitely in love. There's the d
with d McCarthy.
Speaker 4 (20:16):
Podcast.
Speaker 5 (20:17):
Look this next video is going viral, and I think
for all the right reasons. So the situation was that
was in a lot of pain. We don't know what
type of pain she was in, and I believe one
of her grandchildren said we should give Nanna a little
(20:38):
weed gummy.
Speaker 2 (20:39):
A weed gummy, a little weed.
Speaker 5 (20:41):
Gummy to relieve her pain, take her mind off of it. Sure,
because she had a doctor's appointment that afternoon, but she.
Speaker 2 (20:47):
Was in heaps of pain.
Speaker 4 (20:48):
Right, okay, anyway, sound as I was saving.
Speaker 2 (20:51):
The doctor could have helped with but yeah, I understand
the logic.
Speaker 5 (20:53):
But she couldn't wait a lot of pain, and they thought,
let's just give her a little one. Give her a
little one, see if it helps. And Nana took the
weed gummy, and then this.
Speaker 2 (21:04):
Is what happened.
Speaker 5 (21:09):
You can't take her to appointment.
Speaker 2 (21:24):
Hallelujah. It's a miracle. Nona is good.
Speaker 5 (21:28):
Nana was feeling fancy free by the sounds.
Speaker 2 (21:33):
The only problem Nona had with that after that was
not enough snacks.
Speaker 5 (21:38):
Nana was in no pain. She was feeling.
Speaker 2 (21:42):
Great the way the way that she is screaming with
laughter as well. He talked to as the point was
in thirty minutes and they were like, we can't take
Nana to the doctor in this condition. How big was
the weed gummy they get?
Speaker 5 (21:56):
I don't know. It's so funny though, because this was
posted in America, where obviously weed gummies legal are legal
in parts of in parts of America, and.
Speaker 4 (22:08):
It was obviously given with Nona's consent.
Speaker 5 (22:10):
Yes, none knew what she was taking, but all the
comments are asking what brand of weed gummy is this?
I want to get on board whatever Nona's on.
Speaker 4 (22:20):
Where did get her stuff?
Speaker 2 (22:24):
You said?
Speaker 4 (22:25):
Even Snooky from Jersey short as in the comments asking
for the details.
Speaker 2 (22:29):
Nookies is the first comment.
Speaker 5 (22:30):
She goes, where's the weed gummy from? You can't take
her to her appointment?
Speaker 2 (22:45):
The dad looks pretty annoyed.
Speaker 5 (22:47):
He's like, am I going to take her now to
the doctor that she needs to go to? This appointment?
Speaker 4 (22:57):
Reminds me of some good friends of mine who I
won't name, who were having drinkies at their house and
they made a certain batch of brownies.
Speaker 2 (23:04):
Got it okay?
Speaker 4 (23:05):
It was for them and their sister and their partner
and their husband and mom showed up uninvited and just
went oh, young brownies, and before they could say anything.
Speaker 2 (23:20):
Mum made a whole brownie. Oh no, and Mom doesn't
eat those brownies. Mom would have felt like she was
losing her mind.
Speaker 4 (23:27):
Mom was like you to give me the recipe for
these brownies.
Speaker 2 (23:33):
I's like, I can see colors.
Speaker 5 (23:37):
That's weird.
Speaker 4 (23:40):
Look look, look, we know there's a line, but we
also want to know this afternoon, did your parents or
your grandparents accidentally get a bit wasted and how did
it happen, whose fault was it, how did they find it?
Speaker 5 (23:56):
Thinking about did you get in trouble afterwards this topic?
I definitely have seen my mom a bit tittly, like
she has two Chardonnays and cheese anyone.
Speaker 2 (24:06):
I've never seen my dad drunk, have you not? Nah?
Speaker 4 (24:10):
Right, I can't.
Speaker 2 (24:11):
Have you seen your parents drunk? I've seen Dad, but
not mum. I don't know if i've seen mom.
Speaker 4 (24:17):
If I have, she's very put together.
Speaker 2 (24:19):
She's like very put together. Yeah, she doesn't drink, she
doesn't drink anymore. But but dad, you've definitely seen drunk. Yeah,
what gave you? She doesn't drink anymore, and she doesn't
let dad drink.
Speaker 5 (24:31):
Any either of your parents drink anymore?
Speaker 2 (24:37):
Dollars at him? Or you could text it to nine
six ninety six.
Speaker 4 (24:39):
Did your parents or your grandparents accidentally get a little
bit wasted? And what happens?
Speaker 5 (24:47):
The z M podcast Network. We're talking about this grandma
who was given mini gummy and it hit pretty hard.
Take a listen, can you take her to her appointment?
Speaker 2 (25:13):
I like to think that he called the doctor to
ken to the appointment and the doctor's like, well, why
can't she come in? And he just goes listen. So
we asked, when did your parents or your grandparents accidentally
get a bit wasted? Connor's here? Hey Connor, Hey Connor.
Who are we talking about? Mom? Dad, grandma, granddads? It
(25:34):
was my mom?
Speaker 4 (25:35):
Okay, what did mom do?
Speaker 5 (25:36):
Connor?
Speaker 11 (25:37):
A little bit of backstory. I have a prescription for
medical cannabis. Have a spinal injury, okay, And Mom was
sort of saying, oh, it can't be that bad. You
know when I was younger, I did this set and
we're like, all right then, So we gave her some
and then we sat there watching the Rockyard Picture Show
and we turned around.
Speaker 10 (25:54):
So I looked at her.
Speaker 11 (25:55):
And she just couch locked theirs, eyes red, just like
help me. We were just laughing so hard at it.
Speaker 2 (26:02):
It's a stronger than what she's used to.
Speaker 5 (26:03):
I think Connor, rocky horror picture show would have to
be would have to be one of the worst things
your mum could have been watching at the time. Sweets
that tragic.
Speaker 4 (26:20):
Yeah, you rocked your mum's world, Connor, thank you very funny.
Let's go to Daisy High, Daisy Hi, Daisy, Hi, yours
as good yours is about your mum as well.
Speaker 9 (26:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (26:33):
I would have been sixteen and my sister would have
been ten, and Mama driven us probably half an hour
from home to a hunt on the horses and the
horse track, and she drank half a bottle of homemade
limonello without realizing it was alcoholic.
Speaker 4 (26:46):
She didn't know there was alcohol and lemon cello.
Speaker 2 (26:48):
Oh no, oh my god.
Speaker 5 (26:50):
If it was homemade, it would have probably been in
like a bottle with no label.
Speaker 4 (26:54):
Right, yeah, yeah, what's mum drinking random unlabeled bottles? For
this lemonade has some bite to it.
Speaker 2 (27:03):
Did mum have a good afternoon?
Speaker 6 (27:05):
She had a great afternoon, better than Dad, who we
had to ring it about six o'clock and they can
you come and get us all?
Speaker 2 (27:11):
Please?
Speaker 6 (27:12):
God that's so good, you're not legal to drive a truck.
Speaker 2 (27:14):
A call.
Speaker 4 (27:17):
Fantastic.
Speaker 5 (27:18):
Brilliant.
Speaker 4 (27:19):
Someone's text in and said, not quite the same. But
at my sister's twenty first when I was ten, I
accidentally got quite tiddly off the vodka jellies, not realizing
what they were.
Speaker 5 (27:28):
No.
Speaker 2 (27:29):
Not the ten year old on the vodka.
Speaker 5 (27:30):
Jellyes not ideal, Not ideal, someone else said. When I
was about sixteen, my mum made one of those bucket
pre mixed strawberry dackeries for Christmas Day. It was like
rocket fuel. No one else could drink it, it was
that strong. She ended up drinking most of it herself
and she got wasted by mid afternoon. It turned out
to be one of the funniest Christmas Days and we
(27:52):
still talk about it twenty years later.
Speaker 2 (27:55):
Brilliant.
Speaker 4 (27:56):
My dad was house sitting for me and he scrounged
in the back of the freezer and he found some
special brownies. He ate two of them and was holding
onto the wall because he could barely walk. He said
he was going to take himself to hospital, but he
couldn't because Mum was there and he had to look
after her. Jesus, my whole family got wasted. The first
(28:18):
time Mum tried to make ignog at Christmas. I was
the only kid and I was all alone.
Speaker 5 (28:24):
Can you imagine just being like, oh my god, I
am the responsible one in this situation.
Speaker 2 (28:29):
I'm going to put you guys to bed.
Speaker 5 (28:30):
This one's brilliant. It says when Robbie Williams was performing
in Wellington back in twenty fourteen ish, we took Mum
along biggest fan because before we got to the Basin
Reserve we finished a shot bucket in the car park
of Super Liquor. Safe to say it was absolute role reversals.
My sister and I spent the entire time apologizing as
(28:52):
she parted so hard. We walked her home and tucked
her into bed. Best night ever.
Speaker 4 (28:57):
Robbie Williams is back at the end of this year.
You need to redo it that night.
Speaker 2 (29:02):
Need to get another bucket.
Speaker 5 (29:04):
Shot bucket in the car park of supper lickup.
Speaker 2 (29:06):
Go again and go around. Redo the whole thing.
Speaker 4 (29:09):
Yeah yeah, Caylin texted and said, oh my god, my
mum and I met up for lunch during the work
day and we ordered virgin cocktails. Well, after a while
we were both feeling a bit funny and checked with
the waitress that they were definitely virgin, and she said, oh,
I thought you said with gin. Oh well what's it
(29:33):
with gin cocktail? We both went back to work feeling
a little tipsy. Very that's very good, so good. I
won't read that one about the dog.
Speaker 2 (29:45):
Yeah, there's a few you can't read out.
Speaker 5 (29:47):
Someone said the first and only time I saw my
dad drunk, I was nineteen or twenty, and he and
his friends would have been in their fifties and they'd
had too much to drink at the pub down the road.
I got the call to go pick them up, so
my stepmom didn't find out. Drop the friend off and
he fell into the rose bush and apparently he slept
there for the night.
Speaker 2 (30:05):
Shut dead.
Speaker 4 (30:09):
Very good stories, Thank you, guys, including the ones that
we can't read out. Yes, we have rid.
Speaker 2 (30:13):
Them and we enjoy them, so thank you. It's z
MS Brilling Clint Podcast.
Speaker 5 (30:20):
Let's play Google Down.
Speaker 2 (30:22):
Do you feel lucky?
Speaker 5 (30:24):
Well?
Speaker 3 (30:24):
Do you?
Speaker 2 (30:25):
It's time for Brillan Clint Google Down Punk.
Speaker 5 (30:29):
Yes, welcome along to Google Down, where we find out

our contestants? Are we ready to play? Sure?
Speaker 2 (30:44):
Ready to when right again? Ready?
Speaker 8 (30:46):
Can I read up my engine?
Speaker 7 (30:51):
It's good to go wrong.
Speaker 2 (30:52):
I don't think you'd be the owner of a V eight.
Speaker 5 (30:55):
But here we are right. First person to yell out
the correct answer, I'll give you a point first to
three points when wins. Here comes question number one. Who
has the record for the longest Vegas residency? Celendion, Barry Manilow, Oh,
(31:17):
wait and teller, None of you are correct.
Speaker 8 (31:23):
David Copperfield, Oh got it? Ah Celendon, but someone said
selend On.
Speaker 3 (31:36):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (31:36):
All the four options I've got have been said.
Speaker 5 (31:38):
I'm gonna buzz you all out. The correct answer is
Donnie and Marie Osmond hold the record for the longest
Las Vegas residency by total number of shows. Coeleen Dion
is up there and it was the highest grossing A right,
but they have the longest run, which was one thousand
(31:59):
and seven one hundred and thirty performances.
Speaker 7 (32:02):
Ahry doing singing was.
Speaker 5 (32:04):
Eleven years, Mate, eleven years?
Speaker 2 (32:07):
Crazy? All right? We move on to question two.
Speaker 5 (32:10):
What does the pb R stand for? In terms of.
Speaker 8 (32:15):
Sport physically based rendering.
Speaker 5 (32:19):
Professional bull riders.
Speaker 2 (32:20):
That is correct. The pbry peanut butter and jelly.
Speaker 5 (32:26):
But professional bull riders. It is a great watch on TV.
Speaker 7 (32:32):
Guys, have you ever ridden a bull before? Because there's
a new.
Speaker 8 (32:35):
Place in Takapuna on the shore that has a bull
on Thursday.
Speaker 5 (32:41):
I'm going to I've written quite a few pottycrafts in
my childhood.
Speaker 2 (32:45):
Would we need to go? All right? We move on
to question number three.
Speaker 5 (32:49):
Wonder Claudia, how many kids do Angelina, Jolie and Brad.
Speaker 2 (32:54):
Pitt have together?
Speaker 4 (32:55):
Eight?
Speaker 2 (32:57):
Six six is correct?
Speaker 5 (33:00):
In the dark Clinton, Ella took a guess, which I
mean I think was worth a guess. Yeah, this time
Claudia too in front question what star sign is Donald Trump?
Speaker 7 (33:15):
I don't want to know.
Speaker 5 (33:17):
Gemini Gemini Gemini is correct and that is a down
trout Claudia.
Speaker 4 (33:26):
Wow, good Rebecca, you correctly picked Claudia to win. So
you get fifty KFC Chicken dollars.
Speaker 5 (33:32):
Well done, Thank you, you are welcome here.
Speaker 2 (33:38):
Look that's some disappointed What do you say?
Speaker 5 (33:41):
Something?
Speaker 4 (33:41):
Really can say a point this week?
Speaker 5 (33:43):
Leave it all out on the field.
Speaker 2 (33:45):
All I said was peanut butter. I don't even know
if you googled anything this week. You just guessed everything.
Speaker 8 (33:51):
It was actually quite a nice break from your voice.
Speaker 7 (33:56):
We do the full gifts, the full guessing round next week.
Speaker 5 (34:00):
Googling. Yeah, yeah, the opposite, no Google as M's Brinklin podcast.
Speaker 4 (34:10):
Did you see all this stuff about the Michelin Stars yesterday?
Speaker 2 (34:13):
I did hear a lot of people chatting about this.
Speaker 4 (34:16):
It's very fancy, la la, but it's a big deal
for New Zealand. New Zealand's best restaurants received their first
first ever Michelin Stars last night at a very glitzy
celebration in Auckland. We've never been eligible for Michelin Stars
before because you have to pay to have your restaurants reviewed,
(34:40):
and I think you pay as a country, so our
government paid to have us reviewed.
Speaker 2 (34:45):
You know, that's where the money should be going.
Speaker 4 (34:47):
Well, there's an argument that it should because there are
people who travel the world to dine at.
Speaker 5 (34:51):
These Yeah, that is a good point. You know, how
much money is it? That's what I wanted six.
Speaker 2 (34:56):
And a half million dollars. Yeah, you didn't think I
had the number, did you.
Speaker 5 (35:06):
Yes, But.
Speaker 4 (35:08):
If some of the richest people come here to dine
at these restaurants. They're not just going to have dinner,
are they. They're gonna stay. It's like paying for like
a nice hotel. Okay, you're gonna get a couple of ubers.
Speaker 5 (35:21):
It feels like investing money into like dog clothes or something.
Speaker 2 (35:27):
You know, do we really need it? As someone who
spends money on dog clothes, I think watch what you say.
Speaker 5 (35:34):
Okay, you spend more money than me. I do not.
Your your dog has a shack it, yeah, my dog
does have a shack it.
Speaker 2 (35:45):
Yeah, but he's long haired dog.
Speaker 5 (35:48):
I've seen your dog in a dry a bone. I've
seen your dog in a another range.
Speaker 2 (35:53):
You haven't. No, he's only got a dry bone. And
it's a Swan drive. Thank you very Okay, how much
was the Swan Drive?
Speaker 4 (35:58):
It doesn't matter.
Speaker 5 (35:59):
I'm gonna google six and a.
Speaker 4 (36:00):
Half million dollars. We didn't know if we were going
to get any Michelin stars last night and they had
the ceremony, and god, can you imagine how anti climatic
it would have been before these people showed up and
they were like, and we have no.
Speaker 2 (36:12):
Stars for New Zealand.
Speaker 5 (36:13):
Yeah, God, that's six and a half million. Really, would
have went down the toilet. Then we got our money's
worth imagined. We got fifteen Michelin Stars last night. Fifteen
fourteen restaurants got one star, and one restaurant in Queenstown
huh got two stars. What restaurant was that? Essence, I've
(36:35):
never even heard of it, neither have I.
Speaker 2 (36:37):
But it sounds like a fancy restaurant name though.
Speaker 5 (36:39):
Yes, essence, everything in essence is tastable air. You don't
eat anything, per se.
Speaker 2 (36:48):
Ye, you taste the air. You just get the essence
of the food, so.
Speaker 5 (36:52):
You breathe it in. You're like soup fle.
Speaker 4 (36:58):
Seeing as this big news, I've got three facts about
the Michelin Stars and how they work. Okay, they're French,
first of all, that's not one of the facts. But
the Michelin Star Guide was created by the Michelin tire Company.
Speaker 5 (37:13):
Yeah, I knew this.
Speaker 4 (37:14):
And as these chefs came on stage last night and
Auckland to receive their Michelin Star, they shook hands with
the Michelin Man. They had a Michelin Man mascot. The
juxtaposition was odd. It's a very fancy and ula la
and then you shake hands with an inflatable tire mascot.
Speaker 2 (37:31):
Makes it feel nowhere near as fancy eight. No, it doesn't.
Speaker 4 (37:34):
My first factor is the Michelin Star Guide was launched
in nineteen hundred to encourage people to drive more and
to use their tires more, so they would sell more tires.
Speaker 2 (37:43):
The more people drive, the faster their tires were at.
Speaker 5 (37:46):
I mean, it makes sense.
Speaker 4 (37:47):
They're like, you should drive to this restaurant, genius really
on your Michelin tires.
Speaker 2 (37:53):
Fact number two about the Michelin Stars.
Speaker 4 (37:56):
The stars have a literal travel meaning, so the number
of stars you get actually relates to travel.
Speaker 2 (38:02):
One star very good restaurant for you to travel to.
Speaker 4 (38:05):
Okay, two stars excellent restaurant, worth a detour, worth going
the long way around to go to this restaurant. And
three stars exceptional cuisine, worthy of a special journey, maybe
an overnight trip.
Speaker 2 (38:19):
Does anywhere have four stars in the world? Good question.
I don't know nowhere in New Zealand.
Speaker 5 (38:25):
Because I know there's quite a few places that have three.
And then did you know you can lose a star.
Speaker 4 (38:30):
You can lose a star, you can be demoted a start,
you can lose your only star as well.
Speaker 2 (38:35):
In fact number three.
Speaker 4 (38:36):
The inspectors who come to do the judging completely anonymous.
Speaker 2 (38:42):
You don't know they're in your restaurant. They pay their
own bill. They'll often come multiple times.
Speaker 4 (38:49):
Before they give you a star, and they're trained to
judge only on the food and consistency.
Speaker 2 (38:56):
Not the decorps.
Speaker 4 (38:57):
So they don't care if your restaurant's a bit chebby
not the celebrity chef. They don't care if Jamie Oliver
or Nadia Limb is out the back doing your chicken palm.
Speaker 2 (39:07):
And they're a secret. Nobody knows who these judges are.
Speaker 5 (39:09):
I knew that from the documentary I watched on Michelin
Stars two week.
Speaker 2 (39:17):
Where we.
Speaker 4 (39:19):
The Michelin Star restaurants. If you're feeling bougie, Five in Auckland, yep,
three in Wellington, four in Queenston, two in christ Church
and one in Wonaka the God and none in Hamilton.
Speaker 2 (39:35):
Oh, poor Hamilton. There's always next year year, yeah, yeah, yeah,
I don't know. You've got another six and a half
million dollars. I'm sure they'll do it again next year.
Speaker 5 (39:45):
Also, if anyone wanted to know, Clint spend one hundred
and twenty dollars on a Swan Drive for his job.
Speaker 4 (39:50):
I googled it.
Speaker 5 (39:56):
Good Stuff, Good Stuff play Brie England. You might know
them from this trackm Iconic I had countless hits, but
they're an American disco group that started in the seventies
(40:17):
from New York City, and they were known for obviously
those bangers, but also the costumes that each member of
the band wore and.
Speaker 4 (40:27):
The characters really yeah.
Speaker 2 (40:29):
All the characters in the band.
Speaker 5 (40:31):
Did you know fun fact before we get into this
zany radio, did you know that the Village People are
still touring?
Speaker 4 (40:38):
No, you can see them.
Speaker 5 (40:40):
They've got a show coming up on the twelfth of
July in Italy. Back to back shows actually happening in
Italy in July.
Speaker 2 (40:49):
Back to back Village People. Didn't the lead Village person
just die recently? Like, I wonder what these acts? How
many of the original cast are still in there. There's
got to be at least a few. Reckon, there's like
four guys in their twenties who are in the Village People.
Now why not? And they're just like what what? Why
(41:10):
they don't age the Village People.
Speaker 5 (41:12):
I had this weird thought yesterday where I was like,
imagine if there's a family in New Zealand that mimics
the village people and the characters that were in the
village people.
Speaker 2 (41:22):
So hear me out.
Speaker 5 (41:23):
So the characters you had in the village people were
the cop, you had, the construction worker, you had the soldier,
you had the cowboy, the biker, and the Native American.
Speaker 2 (41:37):
Oh, I'll do it well up until there.
Speaker 5 (41:40):
Which could be quite difficult. But I thought, imagine if
there's a family that had all of those people in
their family, technically they would be the real life village people.
Speaker 2 (41:52):
Yeah. I wonder if they've ever thought about that too.
Speaker 4 (41:55):
We're going to struggle with the Native American part, I feel,
or maybe we're not.
Speaker 2 (42:01):
Maybe we're not. How do we broaden it out?
Speaker 4 (42:03):
Because a Native American American Indian would we expect except.
Speaker 2 (42:08):
Indian, Indian and Indian from India? Yeah, an Indian member
of your family. Would we accept a Fijian Indian?
Speaker 5 (42:15):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (42:16):
Would we accept.
Speaker 4 (42:17):
Someone who loves Indian food, someone who owns an Indian restaurant?
Speaker 5 (42:25):
I think you have to, Yeah, they own an Indian motorcycle.
Speaker 2 (42:30):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (42:31):
What about someone who wore one of those controversial Native
American headdressers to a festival?
Speaker 2 (42:35):
Once. Yeah, yeah, how close can we get? I hear
what you're saying. So we got cop, Yes, we've got
construction worker, Yes.
Speaker 5 (42:47):
Someone in the army, cowboy, biker, Native Americans?
Speaker 2 (42:54):
How many is that?
Speaker 5 (42:55):
One?
Speaker 2 (42:55):
Two, three, four, five.
Speaker 4 (42:57):
Six members? But one family member could be multiple, that's right.
Speaker 2 (43:01):
We will accept that. You can have a cowboy. You
could be a cowboy construction worker.
Speaker 5 (43:05):
When we say family, we go immediate family. I reckon,
you got to include uncles and aunties and ghost cousins.
Speaker 4 (43:14):
Yeah, and in laws in laws right, I think so
someone's father in law as a police officer accounts totally.
Speaker 2 (43:23):
It's in the family either.
Speaker 4 (43:24):
You have to Yeah, can you get Can you get
them all together at one family event? Can your version
of the village people all be in one place at
one time?
Speaker 5 (43:33):
Like could they put a performance on at your next Christmas?
Speaker 2 (43:38):
You don't have to have the full set, Okay, No,
we just want to get as close as we can.
Speaker 5 (43:42):
Do you have more than two?
Speaker 4 (43:44):
And are you one of them? Are you one of
the village people? Maybe you're the cowboy oh a one
hundred dollars sitting or you can text your family line
up through to nine sex, nine sex and we'll see
what we get.
Speaker 5 (43:56):
I hope we get something.
Speaker 2 (43:57):
Yeah, the real life village people open your interpretation of
any of those categories too.
Speaker 5 (44:03):
Yeah, okay, yeah, I'll wait hundred dials at end, particularly
the Native American one. Think hard, do you have multiple
members of that we just mentioned in your family CDMs,
Bree and Clint podcasts. I'll be honest, I'm just a
radio and now it's a girl with a dream, and
that dream is to put together the real life village people.
Speaker 4 (44:26):
A lot of people will have these stupid thoughts like
I wonder if there is any family out there who
has every member of the village people in their family,
but not everybody has a radio show to then go
out to the nation and find out if that family
actually exists. So you kind of have a responsibility to
do this.
Speaker 5 (44:42):
I do, and that's what we do for the people, Clint.
Speaker 4 (44:44):
So we asked, do you in your family have a biker,
a builder, a cop, a soldier, a cowboy, and an
American Indian?
Speaker 2 (44:53):
That's correct?
Speaker 4 (44:54):
How close can we get? This person wants to be anonymous,
hig anonymous, hynonymous?
Speaker 2 (44:59):
Hello, what you got for us? Anonymous? Why have you
got in your family?
Speaker 6 (45:04):
I've got I've got four of sake.
Speaker 2 (45:07):
Mom's a copy. My uncle is a builder, Yeah, take
it off.
Speaker 5 (45:12):
I'm a cowboy, love it.
Speaker 6 (45:15):
And another one of my uncles is a biker.
Speaker 2 (45:17):
There you go. So all you're miss missing is Native American.
And what was the other one? Soldier? Soldier?
Speaker 5 (45:26):
Yeah, well that's pretty good, Anonymous.
Speaker 4 (45:29):
What do you mean you're a cowboy? Anonymous? Do you
ride horses?
Speaker 6 (45:32):
I do a bit of oping.
Speaker 2 (45:35):
You're a cowboy. You are a cow cowboy if I
ever did.
Speaker 4 (45:38):
Here one, thank you Anonymous. There's some great texts on this,
the people who are trying to get close. Someone said,
my fiance is ex army, my half sister is a
police officer, my granddad is a builder, my brother in
law is a dairy farmer, so cows cowboy, and I
guess my mum could be the Indian.
Speaker 2 (45:58):
We frequented an Indian restaur.
Speaker 4 (46:00):
So much when I was a kid that they gave
her the original family recipe book.
Speaker 5 (46:05):
I mean she's an honorary Indian. That sounds like to me.
So they're missing the biker.
Speaker 4 (46:13):
Just the biker.
Speaker 2 (46:13):
Yeah, just the biker, that's it.
Speaker 4 (46:15):
So the Native American part is the bit we thought
would be the hardest. Someone takes it and said, guys,
I can't help you with anything but the Native American part.
So we need to get that person into the family
of the person we talked to before, and not to
miss his family.
Speaker 2 (46:28):
And we've got the village people. We shall put them
together and make them perform.
Speaker 4 (46:33):
I know a family with two Native Americans and their
dad is a cop.
Speaker 5 (46:38):
Okay, this is goodin that's helpful. Someone else said, some
of my family for the village people. I'm in the military.
My husband's a biker, my nephew's a construction worker, his
fiance is Fiji Fijian American, and my niece was a shepherd,
so a cowboy. And I forgot my son in law
(46:59):
is cop as well.
Speaker 4 (47:01):
Fijian American or Fijian Indian.
Speaker 2 (47:04):
Is Fiji and American.
Speaker 4 (47:07):
Oh, Fijian and Americanijian and American. Yeah, okay, that's pretty close.
I actually think I can come pretty close to this. Really.
My dad's a biker yep. He had five motorbikes when
I was growing up. My cousin's partner is a builder. Okay, okay, okay.
Speaker 2 (47:27):
My uncle Jerry was a cop yep. In the New
Zealand Police Force.
Speaker 4 (47:32):
Yep, my uncle Ron was a soldier and also the
Minister of Defense. Okay, okay, so he's he definitely qualifies.
Look at that hat that he wears. That's a cowboy hat.
Speaker 2 (47:44):
That is a cowboy hat.
Speaker 4 (47:45):
He's sitting in a tech right there.
Speaker 2 (47:47):
And my cousin who is with the builder, she is
African American.
Speaker 5 (47:54):
So close, so close, so far. The texts coming through
now of people throwing their hats in the ring to
be the real life village people.
Speaker 2 (48:05):
A lot of people saying, what about the sailor. We're
not one hundred percent sure there was a song. No,
they're thinking of the younger boys. Yeah, that's in the
younger Boys?
Speaker 4 (48:13):
Should we and they get confused with that village people's
song in the navy.
Speaker 5 (48:17):
Ah, there was never a sailor, I believe, Should we
fight the younger boys shouldn't be that hard? What they
have a sailor?
Speaker 2 (48:25):
Yeah, they had cowboy cowboy?
Speaker 4 (48:29):
And then what were the two girls?
Speaker 5 (48:33):
God on, here we go. Oh it doesn't say. I
don't know if they really had a particular costume.
Speaker 2 (48:39):
Right, we're looking for the vinger boys, not the inger girls.
So we just need a cowboy, a sailor and two
women in your family.
Speaker 5 (48:47):
Surely we can do that, Inklanlan birthday. Do your birthday bangers?
The number one songs when you turn six? To which
one will we play? Well, we'll figure that out.
Speaker 2 (49:03):
Amber's up firsty Amber.
Speaker 5 (49:05):

Speaker 5 (50:33):

Speaker 2 (50:35):
Have you watched, Fiona?
Speaker 4 (50:36):
Have you watched the Kylie Minogue documentary on Netflix?
Speaker 5 (50:39):
Loved it?
Speaker 4 (50:41):
Isn't she just incredible?
Speaker 6 (50:43):
She so much more about her that I didn't know?
Speaker 5 (50:47):
Yeah, I think that.
Speaker 4 (50:49):
I agree.
Speaker 5 (50:50):
I feel like she has been quite private over the years,
so it was cool to see more about her.
Speaker 2 (50:55):
And she's everything you thought she would be.
Speaker 4 (50:57):
She's got bangers too. One more birthday banger for Samantha. Hi, Samantha, Hi.
Speaker 2 (51:01):
Samantha, Hi. What have you been doing today, Samantha? I
have been at home and looking after my kids. You've
been doing the most.
Speaker 5 (51:13):
That's what you've been doing the most.
Speaker 4 (51:14):
Let's focus on you for a moment, then, and do
your birthday banger. What's your date of birth?
Speaker 2 (51:19):
It's the twentieth of November nineteen eighty eight.
Speaker 8 (51:22):
Right.
Speaker 5 (51:22):
That means, Samantha, you were sixteen in two thousand and four,
and we've done our calculations. Here's your birthday bank on
Tea money and featuring Scribe Glove.
Speaker 4 (51:39):
So good and PNC is on that checkers up banger, Samantha,
Do you like it?
Speaker 5 (51:44):
I love it?
Speaker 2 (51:45):
Yeah? Same. I never been attacked to quit very nostalgia.
Speaker 4 (51:48):
Okay, wait there, So we've got a banger from twenty eleven,
a banger from nineteen eighty eight, and a banger from
two thousand and four to choose from today. I like
them all today, four vibes, and I think it's an
early birthday present for Amber.
Speaker 2 (52:03):
I'm going to vote for the Cobra starships.
Speaker 12 (52:05):
Yeah yeah, go on then, yeah yeah, it's a birthday tomorrow, Amber, you.
Speaker 2 (52:17):
Tomorrow, Thank you.
Speaker 9 (52:19):
And do you know what's funny is accommodate a continuation
for all?
Speaker 6 (52:23):
I think it was last week, might end up having
the chicken for the lunch.
Speaker 4 (52:27):
Wait wait, wait, are you saying you're going to have
a birthday carry?
Speaker 9 (52:31):
Yes, birthday, I had a carry lunch every year, your ship.
Speaker 5 (52:42):
You said you have a birthday carry lunch every year?
Speaker 9 (52:46):
Kids birthday, Curry birthday carry.
Speaker 2 (52:49):
We knew it was a thing. We knew that this
production wouldn't go to waste. Amber, How bloody good.
Speaker 9 (52:56):
I didn't have any credit on my phone to text
that day.
Speaker 5 (53:00):
You are the first person to sound the birthday carry alarm.
Speaker 2 (53:03):
Congrats on that, Amber, thank you. I loved it.
Speaker 4 (53:08):
And yes, we do have a birthday carry alarm.
Speaker 2 (53:11):
You gotta you have to.
Speaker 4 (53:14):
From twenty eleven Birthday Curry Ambers Birthday Banger on Zman
Clint Cobra Starship on z In with Brian Clint for
Birthday Banger. It's Amber's birthday Banger. It's her birthday tomorrow
where she will be having a birthday.
Speaker 2 (53:35):
Curry, which she does every year.
Speaker 4 (53:37):
Someone's just text us and said, hey, guys, my son
turns one on the tenth, can we sound the birthday
curry alarm for him?
Speaker 2 (53:46):
If I'm having Curry but it's his birthday.
Speaker 4 (53:49):
Yes, if you're having a birthday curry on behalf, we
can sound the birthday carry alarm.
Speaker 5 (53:54):
Yeah. Absolutely, I think that's that checks out completely. Birthday Curry.
Nothing better than a birthday Curry.
Speaker 4 (54:01):
We found out the other day that it's a thing.
We didn't create this, We didn't realize, just found out.
We had multiple people call through and it was their
birthday to do birthday banger and they all said they
were on their way out to have a curry. And
then we got text from people who were also on
their way out for dinner for their birthday or taking
dinner home for their partner's birthday.
Speaker 2 (54:21):
And what were they having bree birthday, curry birthday carry.
So we've uncovered something here, We've jumped on the trend.
Is there a thing if you go to like a
curry restaurant and you tell them it's your birthday? Do
you get a free curry?
Speaker 4 (54:35):
Do you get a free rice? Do you get a
free rotie?
Speaker 2 (54:39):
You know you're like free buttered chicken.
Speaker 4 (54:41):
No, not the whole curry.
Speaker 2 (54:43):
You don't reckon no, because they know to have people
going and going up to my birth Don't you get
a free meal at Denny's.
Speaker 4 (54:49):
But that's Denny's. They got big Denny's money. It's different.
Speaker 2 (54:53):
Free nan free nh. I think a free nun's good.
Speaker 4 (54:56):
Your free rice or some free poppa'dombs, something like that.
Speaker 2 (54:59):
I'll take it anything podcast.
Speaker 4 (55:04):
Look, I don't claim to be up with all of
the dating terms and phrases.
Speaker 5 (55:08):
There's a lot.
Speaker 2 (55:09):
There's a lot, and I can't keep up, and I'm
not dating, so I don't feel like I need to.
Speaker 4 (55:13):
However, I saw this article today which said that Travis
kelcey Taylor swift fiance is a Golden Retriever man and
that Taylor Swift is marrying a Golden Retriever man. And
I don't know what that is, but I was talking
to you about it and you said you do. So
I want to know what a golden Retriever man is
and if I am.
Speaker 5 (55:33):
One, Yeah, the term the golden Retriever man. I feel
like I have heard this when people are talking about lesbians.
When you're matching lesbians.
Speaker 2 (55:46):
Up, it's Travis Kelcey lesbian. Maybe well he isn't a women,
but they call they.
Speaker 5 (55:52):
Either say you're a Golden Retriever lesbian or you're a
black cat, and golden Retrievers go with black cat, Give me.
Speaker 2 (56:00):
Out, Give me out. Okay, so I'm assuming it's the
same thing.
Speaker 5 (56:04):
So a golden retriever, if someone's calling you that in
the relationship, is usually the super affectionate one. They're warm,
they're bubbly, they're endlessly loyal, they're just happy, go lucky.
That's the vibe of a Golden Retriever in a relationship,
just like the dog.
Speaker 4 (56:25):
Just like the dog, the black they shed like a
mofo that too, and they get hear in fictions regularly.
Speaker 5 (56:32):
The black cat, however, if you get called the black
cat in your relationship, they're exactly what you think of
black cat is. You know, when you think of a cat,
you think of mysterious. They're a little bit stand offish a.
Speaker 2 (56:50):
Most black cats. They're they're a bit more reserved, you know.
Speaker 5 (56:54):
They're the ying to the Golden Retriever is yang kind
of vibe. You know, they level each out, level each
other out. It's all about balance. What the Golden Retriever
brings the black cat brings something different.
Speaker 2 (57:08):
So does that only work for lesbians?
Speaker 4 (57:10):
I feel like that's the yin and yang of every
successful It's universal. Yeah right, yeah, okay, So those the
two personality types.
Speaker 2 (57:16):
They're the two that I've heard of.
Speaker 4 (57:18):
Does anyone know of any other personality types anything other
than those two?
Speaker 2 (57:22):
In terms of dating? They're the ones that I know.
Speaker 5 (57:25):
Right, we were going through the show before the show
talking about what we would be or what we are
in the relationship. Yeah, and if you're the golden retriever,
or if you're the black cat producer, Claudia, what would
you say, Clint is? I feel like it could kind
of go e the way, but I feel like once
we sittle on it will know exactly what it is.
Speaker 2 (57:46):
Do you need to date me to find out?
Speaker 7 (57:48):
Maybe? Well, yeah, we know the work you which is
black cat in a jet. But I think, deep down insigne,
you're a cute little labrador.
Speaker 5 (57:55):
So these are the traits of a black cat in
a relationship.
Speaker 2 (58:00):
Self reliant and unbothered. This is the black cat. This
is the black cat.
Speaker 5 (58:06):
Mysterious, selective affection, yes, relaxed interests right, fiercely loyal and
protective ye yes, doing me broody? Emotionally complex no, okay,
(58:34):
should we go through the golden retriever? Here we go,
loyala radiant positivity, Well.
Speaker 7 (58:43):
You don't like being weighed down by them?
Speaker 4 (58:45):
I am radiantly positive, okay?
Speaker 7 (58:49):
And in some ways he's not what do you mean?
Speaker 5 (58:52):
In some ways? I feel like in every.
Speaker 7 (58:54):
Way I think the little things that are pl going.
Speaker 2 (58:59):
No, I wouldn't you know me at all. I wouldn't
use those words to describe you. Signature style. Yes, yeah,
and that's it. I've got Yeah, I feel like you
sit in the middle.
Speaker 4 (59:15):
Someone said, isn't aren't they a golden Retriever because they're
lovable and simple and a little bit dumb.
Speaker 7 (59:22):
That's not you, Clint.
Speaker 4 (59:23):
Someone also said that there is a German Shepherd, which
is someone who follows the facts, can be either optimistic
or negative, and has a circle of close friends and
a weirder circle of general friends.
Speaker 5 (59:38):
You're a German Shepherd, then, which I'd never heard of.
The German Shepherd, right, Ella is one hundred golden retriever,
no doubt in my mind.
Speaker 2 (59:49):
Cordia, no doubt in my mind, is a black cat
because I'm a little bit of.
Speaker 5 (59:52):
A you like, I feel like you're affectionate when you
want to be, but you're like, I don't need it
some serious someone to see.
Speaker 4 (01:00:01):
Clinton is more of a Jack Russell. He just keeps
a yappin.
Speaker 8 (01:00:05):
That's not bad, Yeah, and he shoots like a mofo.
Speaker 2 (01:00:09):
Maybe I'm a mixed breed, you know.
Speaker 5 (01:00:11):
Maybe, Yeah, you're you're a mongrel.
Speaker 2 (01:00:13):
I'm a mongol from a mat all right, Wolf Wolf
the z in podcast Neworks three. What is the best
song of twenty twenty six?
Speaker 5 (01:00:27):
That's the FIFA World Cup song, but from Shakira wrong,
it's choosing Texas.
Speaker 7 (01:00:33):
She's from Texas.
Speaker 4 (01:00:34):
Sack and JA don't even know why he needed to
think about it.
Speaker 2 (01:00:38):
Devin can be called.
Speaker 5 (01:00:43):
It's a been called from it. I like this song's
great song.
Speaker 4 (01:00:46):
Some of us aren't afraid to make big calls.
Speaker 5 (01:00:48):
But the best of twenty twenty six.
Speaker 2 (01:00:51):
Okay, it'll go down, We'll go down in history. It'll
win the Grammy.
Speaker 5 (01:00:56):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (01:00:58):
I saw this post from a a Kiwi country music
artist named Rosy Tease.
Speaker 2 (01:01:03):
She put this on TikTok, choosing.
Speaker 5 (01:01:06):
Texas and a ki accent.
Speaker 4 (01:01:08):
He's from Texas.
Speaker 7 (01:01:09):
I can tell by he's just sing.
Speaker 5 (01:01:17):
Why the small.
Speaker 2 (01:01:23):
It's so true every time I sing it. It's in
a country accent. It's an American country.
Speaker 5 (01:01:28):
Automatically mimic what it sounds like.
Speaker 4 (01:01:30):
She's even put an updated version out where it's even
more Kiwi.
Speaker 5 (01:01:34):
I can he's wearing.
Speaker 2 (01:01:44):
I thought we could give it a go.
Speaker 4 (01:01:45):
I thought we could try and Kiwi fi and in
your case, you could Kiwi Aussie Phi the choosing Texas
song love it Okay.
Speaker 2 (01:01:53):
The original who actually did this was Missy Higgins used
to sing in an Assie accent. Right true, everyone used
to talk about, like what was the song scar? If
you go back and listen to that song, it's full
blown Ossie accents.
Speaker 5 (01:02:12):
It doesn't like to her.
Speaker 2 (01:02:16):
You're so right, doesn't it, mate? Yeshiba, all right, we're
gonna give it a go. We're going to choose in
Texas and a Kiwi accent. I'll go first.
Speaker 5 (01:02:27):
She's from Texas.
Speaker 4 (01:02:28):
I can tell by the way he's too stepping round
the room, and judging by the smile that's red to
none his face, there's nothing I can do.
Speaker 2 (01:02:43):
Sounds ridiculous, still bold.
Speaker 4 (01:02:48):
To see a cowboy always finds a way to leave
drinking jack or by myself, he's choosing Texas.
Speaker 2 (01:02:58):
I can tell every song would sound worse than a
Kiwi accent.
Speaker 5 (01:03:03):
I wonder if there is one that would sound better,
maybe something from six sixty six sixty sing with a
ki I feel like they do. I feel like I
was listening to one of their songs today. Surely they
sing with a New Zealand accent. And don't forget your roots.
Speaker 4 (01:03:20):
Otherwise, if they don't forgot their roots, don't forget your famine.
Speaker 2 (01:03:29):
Friend.
Speaker 5 (01:03:30):
It's a good friend.
Speaker 4 (01:03:31):
Friends friend, don't forget your friend, A friend, don't forget
your roots.
Speaker 2 (01:03:36):
My friend doesn't have to say Rega, Okay, you're going
to choose and texts again for us. Are you ready?
Speaker 4 (01:03:42):
Gay?
Speaker 2 (01:03:43):
She's from Texas.
Speaker 5 (01:03:44):
I can tell why the way he's too stepping round
the room, stepping Judge them by the smile that's rire
No on his face. There's nothing I can do. It
doesn't take a Christal ball to see a cowboy always
(01:04:06):
find away till drinking. Jack will by myself.
Speaker 2 (01:04:13):
He's choosing Texas, so I can tell.
Speaker 4 (01:04:15):
It's very nasally.
Speaker 2 (01:04:17):
It's quite hard to sing in that accent.
Speaker 4 (01:04:22):
You can sing, it's hard to sing in a way
that's good to listen to me.
Speaker 2 (01:04:26):
I think we also just can't sing that. Yeah, it's
z MS Bri and Clint Podcast.
Speaker 4 (01:04:33):
Brian Clint, who will be back in the morning, Brian
Clint to do the morning show.
Speaker 2 (01:04:37):
Yeah, only a matter of hours and you'll get us again.
It's so hard working that Brian Clint, aren't they? God?
They you can't pull them away from work.
Speaker 4 (01:04:45):
I saw this post on my second favorite Instagram page,
Divas Underscore Thoughts. I love the thoughts of divas.
Speaker 2 (01:04:52):
You follow my other page.
Speaker 4 (01:04:53):
Yeah yeah, yeah, and said, you can only pick two
of these things. Okay, okay, there are six things in total,
and you can only choose two.
Speaker 2 (01:05:01):
I want to know what you would choose. I want
to know what Claudia would choose.
