Speaker 1 (00:00):
Show requested, So here it is as long as you've
got data.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
It's ZMS Brian Clint Podcast Zeniams Brian Clint Thanks to
KFC ZMS Brion Clint.
Speaker 1 (00:11):
But in the morning, Good morning everybody, Welcome to the
Brie and Clint Show.
Speaker 2 (00:16):
Filling in for Fletchwood and Haley Aggie. Morning guys.
Speaker 1 (00:20):
Short week really.
Speaker 2 (00:21):
Coming into a fit now only one more day after.
Speaker 3 (00:23):
This, Yeah it's technically Thursday. Yeah, that's a good way
to look at it.
Speaker 1 (00:28):
Our producer Claudia is making an early play for MVP today.
She's shown up with a whole bag of frozen hash Browns.
Speaker 2 (00:36):
But to counter that I was late, So.
Speaker 1 (00:39):
Yeah, well you went really Now that's fair.
Speaker 2 (00:42):
You were late? What fifteen minutes late? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (00:45):
That's bad for me, big what it is late at
this time of the morning.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
It's true.
Speaker 1 (00:50):
I cut off.
Speaker 2 (00:51):
Another breakfast host in traffic this morning, did you.
Speaker 1 (00:54):
Yeah? I didn't realize I was doing it, but it
wasn't me, So who was it. I was just turning
into the car park and my phone started ringing and
it was Nixon from my FM, and he goes, bro,
do you know how to indicate apparently coming down? Hobson Street.
I completely cut him off.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
God you could have, I don't know, made it so
you didn't get to work.
Speaker 1 (01:19):
So it gave us a chance, give us the competitive Yeah, well,
maybe that's what I was trying to do. Maybe I
was trying to run him off the road.
Speaker 3 (01:26):
Did you see the guy across the road working out footpath?
Speaker 2 (01:31):
No, like just outside of commercial building.
Speaker 1 (01:35):
Yeah, buzzy and he.
Speaker 3 (01:36):
Had like a yoga mat down and he was doing
like sit ups and stuff.
Speaker 2 (01:40):
Did you seem I saw.
Speaker 4 (01:41):
Him By the time I got here, he was stretching
in the bus stop.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
It's crazy, yeah, because you don't know other people's timelines
are like the schedulers. I was driving to work, I
think it was on Tuesday, which was yesterday, and there
was a guy where I live in the village just
doing his morning work walk twenty past four in the morning.
Has he just finished work or is he getting it
(02:05):
in before?
Speaker 2 (02:07):
What's the deal? I wonder what that's like to be
able to walk at that time of the morning. You
could give it a go tomorrow, Absolutely not. I would
not feel so oyster. I would never feel that safe.
He didn't even have a dog with him. Terrifying.
Speaker 1 (02:23):
Okay, fun show on the way, let's get into it.
Speaker 2 (02:26):
Nicks.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
Bree's going to tell you how much Daniel Craig made
from his time as James Bond. Interesting.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
I've got a theory that he ruined the James Bond franchise.
Speaker 1 (02:33):
Why do you think that because he was too good?
He's kind of made himself irreplaceable. It's very hard for
the Knicks James Bond to measure up to Daniels.
Speaker 3 (02:44):
This might be a hot take. I feel like he
lacked personality in charisma, Like I don't know, like he
was good, don't get me wrong, but I feel like
there is room for a more charismatic Bond, is all
I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (03:01):
Okay, it's a hot take.
Speaker 2 (03:04):
Like in dress Elba, he would never like charisma and.
Speaker 1 (03:09):
Retirement Home Bond charisma would be oozing out of the guy.
If we're bringing if we're gonna get dress Alber, you
could just get Pierce Brosnan again.
Speaker 2 (03:17):
If we're going that old Keane, keep for that.
Speaker 3 (03:21):
Pierce Brosnan will always be my Bond.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
Plays Briankland, how long have we been talking about who
the next Bond is gonna be?
Speaker 1 (03:31):
Which goes to my point that Daniel Craig ruined James
Bond by being too good. It's so hard to replace him.
This stuck, you know, there's so much pressure on the
next guy.
Speaker 3 (03:42):
The last James Bond movie that came out was No
Time to Die in twenty twenty one, and I feel
like we have been talking since twenty twenty one.
Speaker 2 (03:51):
Who the new Bond is gonna be?
Speaker 1 (03:53):
Yeah, exactly right. And every year Brie has seated Dress Elba,
and every year at Dress Elber has got one year
older from an age where he was already too old.
Speaker 2 (04:02):
To name a better candidate than Idris Elber Callum Turner.
Speaker 1 (04:07):
Who's that do Aliba's husband?
Speaker 2 (04:09):
Every time I say his name, you go, who's that who? Well,
it just goes to show I don't know if he well,
what would happen?
Speaker 1 (04:18):
How people don't like being referred to as so and
so's wife or so and so's husband. I am my
own person. I'd be totally fine with being referred to
as do Aleipa's husband if that's all I had achieved.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
Yeah, that's because she's way more famous than him.
Speaker 2 (04:33):
Yeah, okay, you don't reckon, No.
Speaker 3 (04:34):
No, she is Okay, she is if he became Bond,
it would be a different story.
Speaker 2 (04:40):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (04:42):
I was reading an article about Daniel Craig which was
talking about how much he made from his time as.
Speaker 2 (04:49):
Bond, which was a long time.
Speaker 1 (04:52):
Guys, did he come in like two thousand and three?
Speaker 2 (04:55):
Long time?
Speaker 3 (04:56):
Yeah, two thousand and six was first movie Royal and
his last one was No Time to Die in twenty
twenty one.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
They paid him a crazy amount to do more than
he was meant to, right, to keep it, I believe.
Speaker 4 (05:10):
So.
Speaker 3 (05:13):
I don't think anyone has done more Bond films than him.
Speaker 2 (05:17):
He's done the most out of anyone.
Speaker 1 (05:20):
Is that right? I think you're right.
Speaker 3 (05:22):
Yeah, Sean Connery would be up there, though. I feel
like he did quite a lot. But let's talk about
how much they believe Daniel Craig made from his time
doing the Bond films. Do you want to have a guess?
Speaker 2 (05:39):
How much do you get for one Bond movie?
Speaker 1 (05:42):
That's the thing I don't really know, and obviously it's
gone up a lot. I'm gonna say James Bond made
one hundred and fifty million dollars from being James Bond.
Speaker 3 (05:52):
Daniel Craig, according to reports, made one hundred and nine million.
Speaker 1 (05:58):
Sorry I went too big.
Speaker 2 (06:01):
That one hundred and nine is outright, that's a lot
of money.
Speaker 1 (06:04):
It's a lot of money.
Speaker 2 (06:05):
He only did what how many five films?
Speaker 1 (06:08):
He had to get extremely rapped for all of them. Though,
you know that's hard, that's hard work.
Speaker 2 (06:14):
I could do it for one hundred and nine million,
could you? Yes?
Speaker 1 (06:17):
Could I? Yes?
Speaker 3 (06:20):
You hire a hire a nutritionist, personal trainer, and that's
all you do.
Speaker 2 (06:25):
It's your full time job. Now you got to learn
the lines as well. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (06:30):
We asked earlier who is the greatest James Bond of
all time? And one vote came through for Daniel Craig
is the greatest Bond. One vote came through for former
New Zealand fast bowler Shane Bond, and someone else text
in to say, rip bonus.
Speaker 2 (06:46):
Bonds, which is what's bonus bond?
Speaker 1 (06:49):
You don't remember bonus bonds? Did you have bonus bonds?
Speaker 2 (06:53):
I don't think. My grandparents used to give them to
me as like Christmas.
Speaker 1 (06:55):
Press my parents get my grandparents get me bonus bonds
all the time, and I was like, wow, thanks, I
love this barter card. No, it was like an investment
thing at.
Speaker 2 (07:03):
The bank mandatory savings.
Speaker 1 (07:05):
You put twenty dollars in bonus bonds and you get
twenty entries in that month's draw. But the thing is
you can take your twenty dollars out at any time,
so you never lose it. But the catchers it doesn't
earn any interest while it's in there, So you're so
the twenty dollars that your grandma put in that account
(07:26):
for you when they closed down the bonus bond scheme.
I got mine back. I got twenty dollars.
Speaker 2 (07:33):
You're only a twenty dollars. I think I had forty. Wow,
you're rolling in it. So you never won any of
the bonus bond No, EI think I won twenty.
Speaker 1 (07:41):
I think I won a twenty dollar bonus bond and
what went straight back into bonus.
Speaker 2 (07:46):
Bonds CDMs Bree and Clint.
Speaker 1 (07:51):
Podcast And another day, still no wedding photos. Something big
is coming, Surely, Surely you don't keep up waiting this
long without there being some bigger thing happening.
Speaker 2 (08:01):
God, the Swifties will be going out of their minds.
Speaker 1 (08:04):
Yeah, I believe it's coming. But I also believe that
what Dean McCarthy told us yesterday is coming, which is
the documentary.
Speaker 2 (08:10):
Do you think she's going to release them on the thirteenth.
Speaker 3 (08:13):
Ah, maybe, yeah, July thirteenth.
Speaker 2 (08:17):
You heard it here first. This is the very treaty.
This is lady.
Speaker 3 (08:27):
Like I said before, the trade's on the comeback trail.
They're on fifty wins for the year. The lady's still
in front though, on fifty five.
Speaker 2 (08:34):
Our lady's in Palmi North.
Speaker 1 (08:36):
She's twenty four and when she was sixteen, she performed
a sea section with a vet on a cow.
Speaker 2 (08:42):
Welcome to the show, Felicity, Hi, Hello, Hi flick a
sea section on a cow. Why they needed it? The
calf with breach and they were able to have it,
so we got a vet in and and.
Speaker 1 (08:59):
Today the cow up. Afterwards, did both cows survive?
Speaker 2 (09:03):
Yeah, the cow and baby and the cow stood up
the whole time. It was real cool.
Speaker 3 (09:07):
You could they kind of cut a messive hole in
their coming and you can see all their stomach.
Speaker 2 (09:11):
Mean, wait, every part of it. It's it's real. It
was really the cow was standing up. Imagine she spot up.
Speaker 5 (09:19):
The whole time and it was just a big hole and.
Speaker 1 (09:22):
She's like, what are you guys doing back there?
Speaker 5 (09:24):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (09:25):
Literally, now she's a really good cow. I remember years
ago we had a vet come out.
Speaker 3 (09:32):
We had a sick cow and he poked a hole
in her stomach to release the gas. Yeah, with his
vowel yes, and all this gas came out.
Speaker 2 (09:41):
It was disgusting, disgusting. Yeah, it was yeah.
Speaker 1 (09:45):
All right, girl City. The cow surgeon you're taking on
our trading from Wellington. He's twenty and he has size
fifteen feet. Welcome to the show, Johnny morning.
Speaker 2 (09:56):

Speaker 3 (09:58):
How long since you had those that size foot Johnny?
Speaker 2 (10:02):

I was such a big baby that my mum had
to have an emergency.
Speaker 1 (10:10):
Whoa and was she standing out any time? Size fifteen feet?
You know what they say about big feet? What big Johnny?

Speaker 3 (11:47):

Speaker 3 (11:57):
What dish is the Italian city of Aples famous for inventing?
Speaker 2 (12:02):
Johnny for the win, He's got it.
Speaker 1 (12:05):
Well done, Johnny. Wow, what a game, guys, Johnny, I
know you're sick of answering this question.
Speaker 2 (12:14):
But where do you buy your shoes? I'm wearing at
the moment.
Speaker 1 (12:19):
Are you you're in a size fifteen pair of dogs?
Are you having the same issue that breed? Because Bree's
got big feet too, and her dogs kept tearing at
the scene she had to return the same pair three times.
Speaker 2 (12:31):
You're embarrassing me. I'm sure Johnny doesn't have that problem.
Speaker 1 (12:36):
Yeah, no, he doesn't. You do well, I know. Thanks, guys,
have a great day.
Speaker 2 (12:42):
See you guys, thanks for playing.
Speaker 1 (12:44):
Trade's get to when they're on fifty one. Ladies are
on fifty five. Who are the worst drinkers age group
wise in New Zealand to.
Speaker 2 (12:53):
Be millennials, millennials, the boomers, producers? Who do you reckon?
And have you guys started drinking today? Yet not yet?
Speaker 1 (13:00):
Not yet so still early day.
Speaker 2 (13:02):
Bring it?
Speaker 1 (13:05):
Can you? Uber boots?
Speaker 2 (13:06):
Yeah yeah you can, but you have to get.
Speaker 1 (13:07):
Id at the door, Well, you get id by the
uber driver.
Speaker 6 (13:12):
How many sixteen year olds would do that though? That's
so annoying for the uber driver? Yeah yeah, because they'd
be like no, and then what are they it himself?
Speaker 3 (13:19):
I'd never know exactly, right, Uber eats alcohol.
Speaker 2 (13:22):
But I've seen it on there.
Speaker 1 (13:24):
Yeah right, the stats are out and the worst drinkers
in New Zealand the most hazardous drinkers. The biggest problem
drinkers in New Zealand people over fifty. So I was right, Wow,
what did you say?
Speaker 3 (13:39):
Wait, no, did you, says Geneixas.
Speaker 1 (13:42):
Yeah, you said millennials and boomers. Yeah, so in between
the people over fifty are the most hazardous drinkers, not
only in New Zealand but in the world.
Speaker 2 (13:51):
Whoa New Zealand is over fifty.
Speaker 1 (13:55):
New Zealanders over fifty are the most hazardous drinkers in
the world first place, according to the study who eighty
three percent of Kiwi's aged fifty plus drink alcohol. That's
one of the highest rates in the international study. The
only country that's higher than US is England. And they
love a bloody drink.
Speaker 3 (14:14):
I know why though, Why they've got teenagers. Ah, they're like,
oh I need a drink.
Speaker 2 (14:20):
Jeez.
Speaker 1 (14:20):
That's a good, good bit of data they didn't include
in the test. One in four Kiwi men over fifty
regularly drink more than five standard drinks in a sitting. Wow. So,
like you, if they're having a drink a week night. Yeah. Yeah.
Only China and Mexico had higher rates than New Zealand
(14:41):
men over fifty thirty nine percent of Kiwi men drink
on four or.
Speaker 2 (14:47):
More days a week.
Speaker 1 (14:49):
Okay, so they're having they're having five plus drinks four
nights a week.
Speaker 2 (14:54):
Wow. Yeah, that seems like quite a lot.
Speaker 1 (14:56):
Women aren't far behind. Almost thirty percent of Kiwi women
drinks think four or more days a week. Does that count?
Speaker 2 (15:04):
Because I know you talked about this the other day.
Speaker 1 (15:05):
Does that count? A glass of wine while you cook?
It does? Doesn't it?
Speaker 2 (15:10):
Does it? I think it does. What about if it's
just a swig, swig for me, swig for the pot?
Speaker 1 (15:16):
Yeah? What if it's just testing the wine? Yeah, you
have to test a glass of this wine to see
if it's.
Speaker 2 (15:22):
Only real way to test whether it's good for cooking.
Speaker 1 (15:25):
Yeah. Yeah. The research says that we often focus on
binge drinking teenagers.
Speaker 2 (15:30):
Right, everyone's like all millennials. Yeah, they're the problem, But
actually it's.
Speaker 1 (15:34):
Their pearents and their grandparents that are the issue, according
to the study. Yeah right, So they did say some
positive news though, It did say that hazardous drinking in
New Zealand has been declining, particularly for people aged eighteen
to twenty. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (15:48):
I was gonna say it's because of the gen z itters.
They're bringing down the average.
Speaker 1 (15:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (15:52):
Yeah, they're doing a really good job. Round the room.
Who's drinking on a week night?
Speaker 1 (15:57):
Not anymore? Oh, Friday is Friday count?
Speaker 2 (16:01):
It's a weekend. No, it doesn't, it's a weekday.
Speaker 1 (16:06):
I would kill Friday night, Friday night.
Speaker 2 (16:09):
Wait, so, then does Sunday count?
Speaker 4 (16:12):
No, Sundays a weeknight, Sundays a weeknight, Friday.
Speaker 2 (16:15):
I get Friday, Get Friday. You have to take out Sunday.
Speaker 6 (16:19):
Right, Well, let's just say you're once a night or
once a week night.
Speaker 2 (16:24):
Well, once a week, once a week night, a weeknight. Nah, Nah,
not regular?
Speaker 3 (16:35):
Wait are you my doctor asking?
Speaker 6 (16:39):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (16:39):
I rarely drink, and when I do drink, it's three
standard drinks.
Speaker 1 (16:45):
I'm a light to moderate.
Speaker 2 (16:48):
Ranklin The Day Live from l A with McCarney, who
remembers the girl band g r L. This was an
absolute chance.
Speaker 1 (17:01):
It was huge, and then they were by tragedy almost
straight away. Dean, there is more bad news about GRL
in the news today.
Speaker 7 (17:10):
Oh my goodness, is so devastating. I hate to be
the bearer of this bad news, but one of the singers,
Lauren Bennett, has passed away at age thirty seven. Now Lauren,
you also may remember her from LMFAO, remember that group
which had the two guys and was heard. She was
a singer of that. Thirty seven years old Lauren Bennett,
she has passed away. She was British and we have
(17:30):
not actually found out any of the reasons for death.
They haven't confirmed any of that. But what a devastating
day for GRL fans, for LMFAO fans, and for her family.
Speaker 3 (17:39):
Isn't it that It's so sad considering one of the
other members of GRL passed away. I believe she was
like late twenties, twenty seven.
Speaker 2 (17:49):
Just as they were having success, just as they were
like yeah on the come up. And the crazy part
about this story I read Dean, is that apparently Lauren
Bennett passed away weeks ago. Ah, yeah, that's what There's
like a lot of news outlets are reporting today that
she passed away quite a number of weeks ago, but
(18:10):
it's only being reported now. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (18:14):
Yeah, they were kind of pussy cat dolls adjacent am
I and thinking that they were. I think that they
share some members with the Pussycat dolls.
Speaker 3 (18:22):
I don't know about that, but I feel like, yeah,
they were created off the Pussycat doll model.
Speaker 1 (18:28):
Yeah right, yeah, Clint.
Speaker 7 (18:31):
Seen they share some members.
Speaker 2 (18:37):
I'm out of my depth. I'm out of my you know,
sad news Clint podcast.
Speaker 1 (18:47):
Your baby is not far away? Bre you and your
partners safire? Are you?
Speaker 8 (18:51):
And?
Speaker 1 (18:51):
What is it? Two weeks?
Speaker 2 (18:54):
Any day?
Speaker 1 (18:54):
Any day?
Speaker 2 (18:55):
It could be any day, Jude.
Speaker 1 (18:56):
Data is two weeks, right, juwe date is July twenty.
Have you thought about any activities that you will be
doing as new parents? Any groups you would like to
be a part of, Because you guys didn't do the
anti natal thing? Right?
Speaker 6 (19:08):
No?
Speaker 2 (19:08):
Because oft the next where the coffee group gets put together? Yeah,
and we're regretting it a little bit now.
Speaker 1 (19:14):
But would you go to a coffee group?
Speaker 2 (19:16):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (19:16):
Sure?
Speaker 1 (19:17):
Why not? Yeah? Well? This is more fun. This thing
that I found for you guys. They don't currently exist here,
but they are very popular in the UK, and I
believe we could bring them here. That's called Shampas and Pampers.
It's a wine tasting event for mums and babies and
you're encouraged to bring your baby to the pub for
(19:38):
the wine wine tasting event as you and a group
of other mums you get to sample in this format
and Champas and Pampers you get to sample three different
wines alongside some snaky lalas.
Speaker 2 (19:51):
Okay, there's a Similie.
Speaker 1 (19:53):
There who talks you through the tasting notes, which no
one's listening to, but they.
Speaker 2 (19:57):
Are there, which is nice.
Speaker 1 (19:58):
You go, can just give me the white cane taste,
sandal wood or whatever goes into winds. They have brakes
for nappy changing and I guess you're not breastfeeding if
you're at there, but.
Speaker 2 (20:14):
You're probably pumped beforehand, yeah right or else Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1 (20:18):
Huck him on the bottle, yeah and yeah. And that's
how it works and that sounds more fun than a
coffee group to me. My only issue is do they
do uber baby where the uber shows up with a
baby capsule, because I'm not sure if you'll be able
to drive home from Champas and Pampers.
Speaker 2 (20:34):
Is that a thing they should make it a thing.
I don't think it is.
Speaker 1 (20:38):
I think it's your responsibility to have the capsule and
then right you click it in which pain in the
ass for the uber driver because some of those capsules.
Speaker 2 (20:49):
Are so hard to put in.
Speaker 1 (20:50):
Oh my god, the car seats my kids have got
and whenever my wife's like, oh, can you take the
car seat out for something, I'm like, do you know
how hard that is to burger?
Speaker 3 (21:00):
Imagine if you came up with like super easy car
seat to install, you'd be rich.
Speaker 1 (21:07):
I think they might exist, but wouldn't we know about them?
I don't know, like you would know about them. Yeah,
well no, it'll be the most expensive one, will be
the easiest one to click. And is the thing.
Speaker 2 (21:19):
Yeah, I remember to buy the cheapest car seat.
Speaker 1 (21:23):
I can find children.
Speaker 2 (21:27):
Cheaper, the better. I didn't realize that car seats go off.
Yeah the hell? Since when the products like that have
a use by day? How weird is that?
Speaker 1 (21:42):
I think it's just to keep the kid as safe
as possible. You know, it's a lot of polystyrene in
kid's car seats. Yeah, right, and so that degrades. But
like none of my understand grades and the sun cars
get very hot. Yeah I understand, and I reckon they
would be fine the car seats, but it's just a caution.
I just can't guarantee you.
Speaker 2 (22:01):
Yeah, I remember one time years ago.
Speaker 1 (22:04):
Seats go off.
Speaker 2 (22:05):
You're right, it's a funny one. It's used by date.
Speaker 1 (22:08):
Car seats expired stinks?
Speaker 2 (22:11):
Which car seats do stink? God, car seats are filth.
Kid's car seats are great filth. Like there's just food
in all sorts of is like a whole community.
Speaker 1 (22:22):
Like the kid doesn't in the back of the kid
doesn't care because.
Speaker 2 (22:26):
Some more crackers. All the crackers go into all the crip.
Speaker 1 (22:30):
Cracker for me, some cracker for you.
Speaker 2 (22:32):
Car seat feel like you just throw it straight on
the bonfire.
Speaker 1 (22:36):
Once they don't maybe they don't expire for safety reasons.
Maybe they just become like a bio hazard.
Speaker 2 (22:42):
I reckon.
Speaker 3 (22:44):
Filter ems Brienkland covering Breakfast Morning Guys.
Speaker 2 (22:49):
I got home yesterday.
Speaker 1 (22:50):
My wife Lussy was not happy with me and also
with producer Claudia. To be honest, what did we do
yesterday on the show? Too many things, Claudia, I know
only the main thing.
Speaker 3 (23:05):
I remember Claudia rated your wife Lucy out of ten
you were at twelve fifteen.
Speaker 1 (23:11):
God damn no, what was the main I'm.
Speaker 2 (23:13):
Not trying to kiss ask now, Claudia, what.
Speaker 1 (23:15):
Was the main thing we did on the show yesterday.
We gave away pods. My wife Lucy listened to the
whole show and I got home and she goes, where's
the pod?
Speaker 2 (23:23):
Where's the pods?
Speaker 1 (23:25):
You know what?
Speaker 4 (23:26):
That's not on me?
Speaker 2 (23:26):
Then I put it on you.
Speaker 4 (23:29):
You had every opportunity to take some home.
Speaker 1 (23:31):
I said, I'm sorry, babe, I love you. Claudia didn't
give me any pods to bring home.
Speaker 2 (23:37):
Claim you're a grown man. One job, your own, one job.
Speaker 4 (23:42):
I could have taken the ones that you had in
front of you.
Speaker 2 (23:45):
Claudia'm gonna need a couple of bags. Okay, they're gone.
They're gone. What I gave them away to other people?
I mean I took some home from my pregnant fiance.
That's just me. She's going to be furious. Podcast Network.
Speaker 1 (24:02):
My question for you this morning, Bree produces everybody listening
to this is are you in love with someone that
doesn't exist? The reason I bring it up is because
I think, no, I know that my wife is in
love with a ginger Scotsman from the seventeen hundreds, and
I think it's getting worse. I think it's deepening. Lucy
and I watched all eight seasons of Outlander, last year,
(24:26):
over the last year, over the last twelve months kind
of thing, and it wrapped up about a month ago.
She's now reading the Outlander books, so she's going back.
She's hooked, She's going back. I don't think that I
can compete with the character of Jamie Fraser, like as
a man, and he doesn't even exist, this person Jamie Frazer.
Speaker 2 (24:47):
Just looking up who that is what he looks like.
Speaker 1 (24:50):
So you'll see the actor Sam Callahan who plays Jamie Fraser,
very handsome man. But I don't think it's her. I
don't think it's him that she's in love with. I
think she's in love with Jamie. The character character of Jamie.
Speaker 2 (25:03):
Why is he a good guy?
Speaker 1 (25:04):
Is he? He's the best guy, He's the strongest guy,
he's the toughest guy. I mean, he's the handsomest.
Speaker 2 (25:09):
It helps, doesn't It sort of leaks into.
Speaker 1 (25:11):
Her everyday life, Like if there's a job that needs
doing around the house, my wife will say to me,
well Jamie, Jamie would do it. Or if there's a
job that I am doing, she'll say things like, oh,
Jamie would have had that job done by now. Is
he quite manly, mass, very manly, masculine. I guarantee you
that your mum is in love with him as well. Yeah,
(25:32):
she's a big Outlander fan.
Speaker 2 (25:34):
Yeah, she is huge Outlander fan.
Speaker 1 (25:35):
My wife will even say things to me, like, when
I'm making my lunch, She'll go, do you think that
Jamie would eat that?
Speaker 2 (25:41):
Do you think she just longs for that masculinity?
Speaker 4 (25:45):
Hey?
Speaker 3 (25:45):
No, No, I mean, like, I'm not saying you're not masculine,
but looking at this guy and he's a scott Scottish
guy from eighteen hundreds, I'm just picturing how masculine he.
Speaker 1 (25:58):
Will totally, you know, and he would ooh.
Speaker 2 (26:01):
He's not real Testostero, he's not real. Well, we don't
know that he could be.
Speaker 1 (26:06):
My wife also believes he's not a real character. He's
not okay. She also believes in reincarnation, and the other
day I shared this meme with her that suggested that
reincarnation is not linear and when you do get reincarnated,
you could get reincarnated into a past timeline. You could
get reincarnated a thousand years ago kind of thing. And
(26:28):
I know that in her mind she was excited because
she now believes that she's going to be reincarnated in
seventeen hundred Scotland, and I think.
Speaker 2 (26:36):
You need to cut her off. Cut her off yeap,
how like as in cut her off from Jamie right,
like she's had too much burned the books. Yeah, she's
she's drunk on the Jamie.
Speaker 1 (26:46):
Love Cancel the Neon subscription gavenues off.
Speaker 2 (26:50):
To Jamie so she can't get to him anymore.
Speaker 1 (26:54):
I kind of get it, like I'm in love with
Dua Lipa and there's the same amount of answered me
meeting Dualipa as of her meeting Jamie Fraser.
Speaker 2 (27:03):
But at least she's a real person. I was gonna say,
but that's different. She's a real person.
Speaker 1 (27:07):
I said to our producers before the show, I said,
are there any fictional characters that you guys are in
love with that we could talk about on the show?
And they both looked at me and they said, oh, Clint,
what a stupid question.
Speaker 4 (27:20):
You came out like, if there are, come on every
show I've ever watched, I have a favorite, and I've
like obsessed.
Speaker 1 (27:27):
Who are you in love with?
Speaker 4 (27:28):
Nick Miller from New Girl? Okay, Eadie from Stranger Things
all Right? Styles from Teen Wolf The list goes.
Speaker 6 (27:36):
On, right, Ella, who are you in love with Katness Everdeen?
Fair enough? We all know why.
Speaker 2 (27:42):
Oh that's a pretty good one, thank you.
Speaker 6 (27:44):
Peter Parker the character in general.
Speaker 1 (27:47):
Peter Malark.
Speaker 6 (27:48):
Oh nah no, but he's a cute cutie. Okay, I'd
be happy if my child ended up with him, you know.
But not for you dinner, I had another one come
back to me.
Speaker 1 (28:00):
Okay, do you experience this spree?
Speaker 7 (28:03):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (28:03):
I feel like I have, Maybe not as intensely as.
Speaker 1 (28:07):
Your wife, but I feel like a fleeting crush you
like you watch heated rivalry and you're like, oh, he's
a bit of me.
Speaker 3 (28:14):
The ones that come to mind for me are like
Lucas Scott from One Tree Hill, okay, which was played
by Chad Michael Murray.
Speaker 1 (28:21):
Yeah, that seems quite a formative that one for you to.
Speaker 2 (28:23):
Yeah, and then the niche one. But if you know,
you know.
Speaker 3 (28:28):
Is this character Lexa from a show called the one hundred?
Speaker 2 (28:33):
Yep, or even just like, what was the name? I
want to see this person Lexa from the one hundred?
Speaker 1 (28:40):
Lixa?
Speaker 2 (28:41):
Is that a show? The one hundred is the show? Okay?
That looks very medieval as well?
Speaker 3 (28:48):
Yeah, maybe the only medieval show that I've kind of
got into it.
Speaker 2 (28:53):
And to be honest, I think it's because of this character.
Speaker 1 (28:55):
You're you didn't watch Xena, you would have been writing.
Speaker 2 (28:58):
Don't worry. I did watch.
Speaker 1 (29:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (29:01):
When I met Lucy Lawlers, I'm not joking.
Speaker 2 (29:05):
Yeah, I could. I could not. I could barely talk.
I couldn't string like words together because she like.
Speaker 3 (29:11):
I remember watching Zena at my Nuna's house after we'd
go to church on a Saturday, and then Zena the
Warrior Princess was on and I loved it.
Speaker 1 (29:27):
I've triggered the Outlander fandom by the way people are
texting and they said, Clint Jamie Fraser is not played
by Sam Callahan. He is played by Sam Hewan, and
he is iffing hot, thank you very much. Yeah, I know, okay,
I know he's been told by his wife nine six
nine sex or you can call us on eight hundred
(29:48):
dials at him as well. I want to know, just
quick snaphole, are you in love with a character a person?
Are you in love with somebody that doesn't exist, They're
not a real person.
Speaker 3 (29:58):
Can I just throw into the ring as well? Venu
from the Salor Moon show. Yeah, you can throw in
Salor Venus. Yeah, okay, she was hot.
Speaker 1 (30:06):
To anyone from Jim in the Holograms.
Speaker 2 (30:08):
Oh no, but Kim possible.
Speaker 1 (30:10):
Hello, that's a bac on ZM. In the Am, it's breting,
Clint in the Morning Shows, What do you Animates? You
can get twenty five percent off the Hills Science Diet
Specialty range at Animates teas and seas apply. Are you
in love with someone that doesn't exist? I've just outed
my wife for her love of Jamie Fraser from the
show Outlander. Someone teaches him and said, good luck, Clint.
(30:33):
This is the lives of all husbands with wives who
read these books. My husband just can't compete. There's no
way you can compete. Someone else said, as a fan
of Outlanders for over thirty years, I hate to break
it to you, but no man can match up to
Jamie Alexander, Malcolm Mackenzie Fraser. Hi, and he's got a
(30:53):
long name only just so, how are you in love
with that doesn't exist? Morning? Molina?
Speaker 2 (30:58):
I'm Elina.
Speaker 8 (30:59):
Hi?
Speaker 2 (31:00):
Who is it, Melina? Who does it for you?
Speaker 1 (31:03):
Winchester from Supernatural?
Speaker 2 (31:04):
Oh he was such a hot he wasn't he?
Speaker 3 (31:07):
What do he means, was he's aged like a fine wine?
Speaker 2 (31:12):
That guy?
Speaker 1 (31:13):
Absolutely? Do you have any now on the Boys?
Speaker 3 (31:15):
So that's you know, that's your new favorite show, Melina,
my favorite show.
Speaker 1 (31:20):
Do you have an actual, real life, a live partner
as well, Melina, I do have a partner. Yeah, And
how do they feel about your crush on this imaginary person?
Speaker 8 (31:31):
Share?
Speaker 1 (31:31):
We things like He'll go and, you know, kill a spider,
and I'll be like, can you kill a wolf? That's
exactly what I'm doing? Thank you, Molina with us? Are
you in love with someone that doesn't exist?
Speaker 3 (31:44):
Someone said Olivia Benson from Law and Order is for you.
Speaker 2 (31:48):
Yes, yes, yes.
Speaker 1 (31:51):
A lot of support coming through for your love of
Lixa from The one hundred.
Speaker 3 (31:55):
People are questioning me, and to be honest, of course,
Octavia is thrown in the mix as well, but I
thought it was too niche, right, Lexa and Octavia.
Speaker 1 (32:05):
From the one No, let your freak flag fly, Briy.
Speaker 2 (32:08):
Yeah, if you know, you know?
Speaker 1 (32:09):
I am in love with Eric Northman from True Blood.
There were vampires in that show, some of the newer ones.
Speaker 2 (32:17):
Garrett Graham, who's the main character in Off Campus that
news show.
Speaker 1 (32:22):
Okay, Beth from Yellowstone is getting some love as well,
and rap from Yellowstone as well getting quite a little
love from people.
Speaker 2 (32:29):
Someone said Hermione, Hermione, Hey, Hermione was hot. Someone else said, oh,
there's so many text.
Speaker 1 (32:40):
But a support for Sailor Venus coming through.
Speaker 2 (32:43):
One of Venus was the hottest of them all. Someone
else said, they agree with me, Lucas from One Tree Hill.
They're rewatching it at the moment.
Speaker 1 (32:52):
Tison for Tommy Shelby from Peaky Blinders, That's a good
one for you and your hubby to share that one
because he'll have a crush on him too, like a
man crush.
Speaker 5 (33:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (33:00):
How Dobby Shelby?
Speaker 2 (33:01):
How good Ilia rosen Off from Heated Rivalry? Yeah, he
was so hot on that show. What else?
Speaker 1 (33:11):
Carl Urbarn from The Boys? Good to get a Kiwi
one in there?
Speaker 2 (33:15):
I watch the show. I need to jump on board
the Boys.
Speaker 1 (33:18):
Someone now said, my first six y dream was about
Captain Planet.
Speaker 3 (33:22):
Really, Captain Planet was pretty hot, wasn't he blue?
Speaker 1 (33:27):
So is that not a factor?
Speaker 2 (33:29):
Nah, he's still got a six pack.
Speaker 1 (33:31):
Okay. I'm more of a toxic of injur guy.
Speaker 2 (33:34):
Myself, and he knows how to recycle.
Speaker 1 (33:39):
We really have no idea what you ladies want.
Speaker 2 (33:44):
Don't try.
Speaker 1 (33:46):
And I have to wash outs.
Speaker 2 (33:48):
You know that the lids can't go in the recycling.
What hot brick. It's z MS bringing Clinton podcast, but.
Speaker 1 (33:57):
A hot strip of news for you. There is a
traveling group of male strippers currently doing the laps around
New Zealand who have lost all of their luggage. Bree,
why is.
Speaker 2 (34:10):
This the first we have heard of it?
Speaker 1 (34:14):
The Magic Men of Australia were traveling between Palmerston North
and Topaul when they realized that they had one of
those higher race luggage trailers. It was obviously got a
mini van for the Magic Men and then they tow
all their luggage in a trailer behind someone. I'm not
blaming any of the Magic Men, but it had to
(34:34):
be one of them. Hadn't snipped that lock properly.
Speaker 2 (34:37):
Oh no.
Speaker 1 (34:37):
And when they realized thirteen suitcases had fallen out the
back of the Magic Men's to a trailer, there would
have been.
Speaker 2 (34:46):
Jock straps all over the motorway.
Speaker 1 (34:48):
They would have been sequence up the wazoo while their
sequence up the wazoo at their live shows as well,
right up their wazoos. But this would have been all
over the road. They turn around because it's reconnaissance, right,
you have to go look, how are you going to
find it? I don't know if the Magic Men do
the Magic Men have travel insurance? Does travel insurance? Shous
likely g bangers, We don't know.
Speaker 3 (35:07):
They some of this stuff would be irreplaceable though.
Speaker 2 (35:11):
Yeah, some of it would have sentimental value exactly.
Speaker 1 (35:14):
They retrace the dips. They managed to recover ten of
the thirteen suitcases.
Speaker 2 (35:19):
What happened to the other three?
Speaker 1 (35:20):
We don't know if any of the magic Men are
listening at the moment.
Speaker 2 (35:24):
We'd love to talk you. Get in touch with us
because we'd love to talk to you. We'd love to help.
Speaker 1 (35:28):
You try and recover your three remaining suitcases.
Speaker 3 (35:31):
Yeah, I'll give you my personal number if you want
to contact me personally.
Speaker 1 (35:35):
She's not joking because as soon as I mentioned them,
Brie goes, that's the group that's got the Channing Tatum
look alike in it.
Speaker 2 (35:46):
To tell of people that which you can yess, I
knew straightaway who it was.
Speaker 1 (35:50):
You can make a fortune being a Channing Tatum look
alike stripper. And that's just from Brie.
Speaker 3 (35:55):
Yeah, just from me alone. The guy's names will and
he Willie, Willie, Yeah, Willie, and he looks a lot
like Channing Tatum and he's made a huge.
Speaker 2 (36:06):
Career out of it.
Speaker 3 (36:07):
He's got like three point something million followers on Instagram.
Speaker 1 (36:10):
How good?
Speaker 2 (36:11):
How bloody good? You do?
Speaker 1 (36:12):
I reckon you do? Lean into it. He's got the rug,
he's got the locks, he doesn't have the suitcase. So
this is the issue because when did you say they're
performing tonight Gisbine.
Speaker 2 (36:20):
It says on Will's Instagram that they're in Gisbon tonight,
Hamilton tomorrow.
Speaker 1 (36:26):
This is the closest Gisbane is ever going to get
to Channing Tatum.
Speaker 3 (36:30):
Yeah, you have gisbin you have to go get out
and see Will.
Speaker 1 (36:34):
I think they're performing at sky City on Saturday as
well the eleventh.
Speaker 2 (36:37):
They're in Auckland. This is not a paid plug for
the Magic Men, but if they want to give us
free tickets.
Speaker 1 (36:45):
Ken they've reported their lost luggage to the police. So
if you happen to pick up a stripper's luggage, and
I think you would know it was stripper's luggage, baby
oil asseless chaps, jock straps, hanker, nipple covers, little leather
policeman hat.
Speaker 2 (37:07):
Whips? What else is in the strip show?
Speaker 1 (37:12):
UNDI stuffing.
Speaker 2 (37:15):
Sturdy chair?
Speaker 1 (37:17):
Oh, sturdy chair as a must?
Speaker 2 (37:19):
Yep, you got it to pack your own chair.
Speaker 3 (37:21):
You can't be trusted in the chairs like the local
Gisbane RSA.
Speaker 1 (37:25):
No offense to the gisband And I'm sure it's never
been under that.
Speaker 3 (37:31):
I'm sure the chairs are good there, but they just
you need to be sure.
Speaker 1 (37:34):
No, you're absolutely right. I I'd like to talk to
people about this morning. Is luggage that fell off or
out of your car while you were traveling? What fell
off the car? And did you get all the way
to the place you were going before you realized it
was gone?
Speaker 2 (37:48):
And did you get it back?
Speaker 1 (37:49):
And did you get it back? Did you find it
again or did it survive a trip on top of
your car?
Speaker 6 (37:53):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (37:54):
Did you remember when.
Speaker 3 (37:55):
I first moved to New Zealand And I've been here
like maybe six months, and I'd gone through the difficult
process of opening a new bank account, getting a new
bank card, getting a new driver's licen, all the stuff
that comes with moving countries. Yes, And about six months in,
once I'd done all that, I'd left my.
Speaker 2 (38:13):
Wallet on the roof of the car and it flew.
Speaker 3 (38:15):
Off right and I had to go and replace everything again,
and no joke. Two days after replacing everything, I get
a message on Facebook, Hey, I think I found your wallet.
Speaker 1 (38:29):
So enormou and so disappointed to have someone find your wall.
Speaker 2 (38:32):
Like I'd rather not be found.
Speaker 1 (38:34):
Petro said, Brie, you do not need to tell us
who will is loll That's fair.
Speaker 2 (38:41):
As zed M's Brinklin podcast, they traveling mail Strip Review
have lost their luggage and they're desperate to get it back.
Speaker 1 (38:49):
They left the trailer unlocked and thirteen suitcases of mail
strip of luggage fell out the back of the vent.
Imagine driving behind that car.
Speaker 2 (38:58):
What you go another one?
Speaker 1 (38:59):
What kids are just like? Three? Four suitcase? Five suitcases?
Speaker 4 (39:07):
Dan?
Speaker 1 (39:07):
Why is there so many tiny andies? Flag out of
these suitcases so much Spandex's I'll pass them, and your
wife's like, don't stay stay right, stay right here, flag
them down, stay.
Speaker 2 (39:18):
Right in the pocket.
Speaker 1 (39:20):
So we asked what fell off your car? Someone's in
my MacBook survived a card trip on the roof of
my calf for fifteen minutes. And Hinderson last year, and
I like a sharp.
Speaker 3 (39:31):
Corneres and MacBooks. You must have had a cover on
it that had like some sticky things.
Speaker 1 (39:37):
The bottom's got bugger or grip on it.
Speaker 3 (39:39):
Yeah, because they're really slippery. Remember Matt Chisholm, TV hostess,
host of Celebrity Treasure Island, was coming out of Queenstown Airport,
and anyone knows there's that if you go right out
of Queenstown Airport, there's that big round about if you're
on your way to Wannaica. And he's flown around that
roundabout and he's top bag. I think the whole bag
(40:02):
was sitting on the roof. Flew off the car and
his entire book, his entire memoir that he had been
writing for eighteen months, was on that laptop.
Speaker 1 (40:12):
He doesn't know about the cloud.
Speaker 2 (40:14):
He hadn't saved it.
Speaker 1 (40:16):
Yeah, it was two thousand and two. He had his
books saved directly to his laptop.
Speaker 3 (40:21):
God anyway, someone found it, got it back to him
and the book was safe, Thank God, Thank god. What
fell off the car, My dad hooked up the trailer.
We loaded my sister's car on. He took that off
to the track. He came back and he was loading
my car onto the trailer and it popped off because
he hadn't put the hitch down. My father in law
(40:42):
did the same thing. Okay, he lost a whole car
off the back.
Speaker 2 (40:47):
Not ideally, someone said, keys, I lost them for three weeks.
I'm a sales rep and I travel all over Auckland
and Northland. One day I was looking out the kitchen window.
There they were on the roof of the car. Several
trips over the harbor bridge.
Speaker 1 (41:05):
Someone had this would be very common, leaving your phone
on top of the car, and they went back and
found it. It was crushed. The annoying thing about that
is phones can find themselves these days, but you need
a phone to find your phone. So if you lose
your phone, you've got to use your phone to find
your phone. And you might go you can look it
up on your laptop, but to do that you have
to thither your laptop to your phone.
Speaker 2 (41:25):
Yeah, so how are you going to do How are
you going to do that?
Speaker 3 (41:27):
Do you remember when we were in La and someone
stole my phone out of my bag, which we didn't
know at the time, but I assumed, and so I
logged in to find my iPhone on one of it
was one of the producer's phones, and.
Speaker 2 (41:40):
Then you know how you make a noise.
Speaker 3 (41:41):
Remember everyone had been kicked out of the clubs, and
then we were all we had a few, we had
a few drinks and we were doing all of this
and then you can make the sound.
Speaker 2 (41:51):
Remember we could hear it.
Speaker 1 (41:53):
We were munted.
Speaker 2 (41:56):
We absolutely we're responsible adult.
Speaker 1 (42:01):
Full circle moment though, back to the beginning of this conversation.
What were we there to do? Fine Channing Channing Tatum. Yeah,
we've just realized is in Gisbone for a strip show
tonight with no luggage.
Speaker 2 (42:13):
It's a circle, the circle of life play Brikland.
Speaker 1 (42:21):
Welcome to the show, your friend, our friend. It's Maddie McLean. Maddie,
good morning. What do you want Do you just want
to catch up?
Speaker 2 (42:30):
We just want to see how you were chat.
Speaker 1 (42:35):
Guys.
Speaker 2 (42:35):
I'm doing drive radio times.
Speaker 1 (42:37):
This is early for me. We're usually on the radio
at the same time, so we can't talk to each other.
So that's why we thought we'd just call you for
a ketchen.
Speaker 2 (42:45):
How are you doing? We're good. What are you up
to this weekend? Anyway, we've got other things to talk about.
Speaker 1 (42:52):
Maddie, how much did you get paid for your Woman's
Day wedding photos. Yeah, we want to know the number
up and it's it's not just before you tell us
the number.
Speaker 2 (43:03):
It's nothing against you. We're not judging you. So we're
happy for you. We're happy for you.
Speaker 1 (43:07):
And actually the more you got paid the better. Yes,
because we're currently trying to broker a deal for Breeze
wedding photos in Women's Day. Said from Women's Day is
very kindly offered to give Brea the cover for her
wedding photos, which is wild. Yeah, and we know their
high value. The world is gagging for Taylor Swift wedding photos.
They want people want to see them. Yep, they want
(43:28):
to feel like they were there. And we've said to
sid from Woman's Day we will not accept less than
Maddy McClain received.
Speaker 2 (43:35):
I want one.
Speaker 3 (43:36):
Dollar over whatever Maddie McClain got. And so now all
we need is the information from you, Maddie McClain.
Speaker 2 (43:45):
And we know you'll be honest with us. Yeah yeah,
and you're an honest sky.
Speaker 3 (43:52):
So how much Maddie McClain did you get paid for
your wedding photos from Women's Day?
Speaker 1 (43:57):
I tell you we got paid. Can I say I'm
a I'm on a station, right and swear? Can I
you can say the S word? We got jack ship what? Yeah?
But what does jack mean? Does it mean nothing or
does it mean very little? It means it means basically nothing.
(44:17):
We were able to get some cheaper deals from vendors
because it was going to be in Women's Day, right, Yeah.
And when you say magazine influencing, when you say vendors,
what were you able to get cheaper?
Speaker 2 (44:34):
Was it the suits? Was it the food? Was it
the venue? What was it it was?
Speaker 1 (44:40):
We definitely got suits, We definitely got photography. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (44:46):
Wait, are you saying you've got this these things for free?
Speaker 7 (44:49):
No?
Speaker 2 (44:49):
God, no, brain, no, no no no.
Speaker 1 (44:52):
Can I tell you gone of the days where Dan
and Anokata got probably like one hundred grand for them winning.
Speaker 2 (45:02):
A hundred grands?
Speaker 1 (45:04):
I'm pulling that out of my as I'm honestly pulling
that out of that.
Speaker 2 (45:07):
It's also Dan Carter.
Speaker 1 (45:09):
Yeah, when I remember a Woman's Day was Richie and Jimmers,
And that's also Richie and Jimmer. Yeah they're old Kate
and William, really aren't they exactly? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (45:21):
Not very comparable, are they? All of it?
Speaker 1 (45:24):
To Sabery, I would lower my expectations.
Speaker 2 (45:27):
And if he's offering you a dollar, take a dollar.
There was no man offered, so disappointing.
Speaker 1 (45:34):
No, we just told us they don't pay. But we
thought he was just playing hardball with us. You know
what negotiations are like, I know, damn if you get
if you get him to give you a dollar, then
you've succeeded. You've got a dollar more than what or
do we play hardball? Do we offer a deal to
(45:56):
Australian Woman's Day in Australia Women's Weekly, We're gonna go.
Speaker 2 (46:01):
You could pay us to whatever this person is to
have it.
Speaker 1 (46:05):
You wanted to be on the cover of New Idea,
you could be on That's Life and it could be
like and the headline would be like I married my
fraternal twin.
Speaker 8 (46:15):
Great.
Speaker 1 (46:16):
Hey, if they're willing to pay, okay, all right, well
many We appreciate your honesty. Actively unhelpful actually, but we
do appreciate the honesty.
Speaker 2 (46:25):
Good luck. Were you on the cover?
Speaker 1 (46:27):
Maddie was on the cover, I was on the were
you that were you that cover? We were that cover?
Speaker 2 (46:32):
Cover? Boys? Yeah, Maddie and Ryan.
Speaker 1 (46:34):
That's a minimum. We're not accepting less than that.
Speaker 2 (46:36):
So I think it was I think it was my
husband's mow that got us across the line.
Speaker 1 (46:40):
He is a good looking I mean we could broke
you a centerfold, like a fold out centerfold.
Speaker 3 (46:45):
Yeah, and where it folds on my forehead, so I
looked deformeddms.
Speaker 2 (46:51):
Brie and Clint podcast. Birthday.
Speaker 3 (46:57):
All right, this is your birthday, bangers. You tell us birthday,
we do the math, figure it out. What was the
number one song when you turn sixteen? Then we'll play
our favorite out of the three.
Speaker 1 (47:07):
Nate's going first morning, Nate Morning, Nate morning.
Speaker 2 (47:10):
What do you going on for the day, Nate?
Speaker 1 (47:12):
I'd just land a couple of decks.
Speaker 2 (47:14):
Today, Come dicks a couple. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (47:17):
Once we get this one finish, we're hit off to
the next one.
Speaker 2 (47:19):
Busy hell knocking them out. Hey, what's your birthday?
Speaker 1 (47:22):
Nate eighty two?
Speaker 2 (47:25):
All right?
Speaker 3 (47:25):
That means you are sixteen in the year twenty sixteen.
That's easy math for me this morning. And here's your birthday, banger.
Speaker 2 (47:32):
I'm on got annessing a huge drake.
Speaker 1 (47:39):
This was banger. Yeah, they go right, land some dick,
wouldn't it Nate?
Speaker 2 (47:47):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (47:48):
Good stuffy, you need a one deck drake and one
deck no two dicks, is it? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (47:54):
I don't need a one deck. I need a lay too.
Speaker 1 (47:58):
As the song says as it goes, Amy's here for
a birthday banger. Morning Jamie, Morning, morning, Ago.
Speaker 2 (48:03):
What are you up to today? Jamie?
Speaker 5 (48:07):
I'm starting work at ten o'clock tonight, so you gotta
you know?
Speaker 1 (48:11):
Why are you even up?
Speaker 2 (48:13):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (48:14):
Okay, I didn't work last night night.
Speaker 2 (48:16):
What do you do that starts at ten pm?
Speaker 7 (48:19):
I'm a fatter nurse?
Speaker 1 (48:21):
Yeah right, okay, yep, okay, all right, Well let's find
you a good birthday banger then, Jamie.
Speaker 2 (48:25):
What's your day to birth? Thirteenth of November nineteen eighty four?
Speaker 1 (48:29):
All right, that.
Speaker 3 (48:29):
Means you were sixteen Jamie in the year two thousand.
Also easy math for me this morning, and he's your
birthday banger?
Speaker 2 (48:39):
Bang up, no gru jet.
Speaker 1 (48:45):
Crazy coincidence. We were looking at doing this song for
Friday OKI this week. We were don't quite make the cap,
but weird to hear it again today. Do you love it? Jamie?
We love it.
Speaker 2 (48:55):
I mean, I'm definitely making me feel my age.
Speaker 1 (48:57):
Hearing that.
Speaker 2 (49:00):
Launched Sophie Ellis Baxter.
Speaker 1 (49:01):
Yeah, yep. One more birthday banger for Katie. Morning Katie, morning.
Speaker 3 (49:07):
Morning, Good thank you Katie. And what are you up
to today?
Speaker 1 (49:12):
I'm driving my.
Speaker 6 (49:13):
Son to Awkland to do a goalkeeper thing.
Speaker 2 (49:16):
A goalkeeper thing.
Speaker 6 (49:18):
Yeah, like with awkward it's like a goalkeeper Oh that's cool.
Speaker 1 (49:23):
My cousin is one of the instructors at that goalkeeping thing.
Oh really, it is a crazy coincidence.
Speaker 5 (49:30):
First I thought the guy from Ghana.
Speaker 1 (49:32):
No, not the guy from Gharana. I don't have a
cousin from Ghana.
Speaker 2 (49:36):
At first I thought Katie said she was driving her
mum to the goalkeeping cause I'm assuming you said your son.
Speaker 1 (49:42):
Yeah yeah, all right, Well Katie, there's to your birthday bang.
And what's your dad to birth twenty nineteen ninety one?
Speaker 2 (49:49):
Right, Katie?
Speaker 3 (49:49):
That means you was sixteen in two thousand and seven
and on that day, you know seven, this was number one.
Speaker 2 (50:01):
Oh it's an absolute ruplicating what about you into it?
I love it?
Speaker 1 (50:06):
Yeah, that's so good. Yeah too. Remember that girl that
Claudia went to school with? That Claudia told us she
said that she wrote everyl Levine girlfriend I was skater boy.
Oh is it skater boy thing? I think we know
what we're doing, right.
Speaker 2 (50:21):
I think we know.
Speaker 1 (50:24):
We don't even have to communicate. It's a vibe much
like Safara and New Workmates. We've syncd up. Jamie, you're
the winner of Birthday Bankers to day, Well done, enjoy
your day off. Good luck for work tonight.
Speaker 2 (50:37):
Thanks Jamie.
Speaker 1 (50:39):
From the year two thousand. It's a birthday banger from
Groovegit and Sophie Ellis Bister on Zidim Brian Clint. The
next thing we are going to talk about is pity.
I'll just say that we know that we are aware,
but it's Breeze passion and it's something she wants.
Speaker 2 (50:58):
To do sometimes. I'm a pity there is.
Speaker 1 (51:04):
Do You're not even here to defend themselves either, No,
they are. There is something that was said on the
Breakfast Show in the last couple of weeks by Vaughan
from Flintfood and Haley the iconic Vaughan Smith, which has
subsequently been turned into what's called a radio promo which
they play that clip a few times, which subsequently means
we have heard it multiple times.
Speaker 2 (51:24):
We have heard it multiple times. This is the clip
in question.
Speaker 8 (51:28):
The board was the top ten times on it. My
name is on there. It was really nice.
Speaker 3 (51:33):
You need to tell you when you're not on the
actual leadership board.
Speaker 2 (51:35):
No. No, for people that you might know, maybe off the
telly once or twice.
Speaker 1 (51:39):
That's what I think the leader that leader boards should
be called.
Speaker 8 (51:42):
And I knocked Darley Williams out of the top ten,
that's that pretty good. He wants a helicopter and herne Bay.
I'm like, maybe get back on the top ten.
Speaker 1 (51:51):
So Brie Thomas l as a fellow person who's been
on the telly once or twice, please reveal to us
what you'll be doing today.
Speaker 3 (51:58):
I said, if Vaughn's Smith knocked Ali Williams off the leaderboard,
I want to try and knock Vaughan Smith off that
same leaderboard, give him a bit of his own medicine,
which I am worried about if I actually have the
ability to do that.
Speaker 1 (52:16):
Behind the scenes, Brie has had our producers organize a
closed race track. She's going to the same go kart
track where Vaughan set his record before they open, so
she can have open track time with one goal and
one goal only, And that's to knock Vaughan off the leaderboard.
Speaker 2 (52:34):
I don't care about my time. All I care.
Speaker 3 (52:37):
About is getting one millisecond faster than Vaughan Smith so
I can then knock him off that leaderboard.
Speaker 2 (52:44):
That is the only goal. It is the sole goal
of today.
Speaker 1 (52:48):
What if he is eighth and because then you'll only
be knocking him down to ninth.
Speaker 2 (52:54):
See, I already question, I already question my racing abilities
whether I.
Speaker 1 (52:59):
Can do That's not the attitude. That's not the attitude. Okay,
if you're going into this, but you believe that you
can do it, I.
Speaker 2 (53:06):
Don't question my commitment.
Speaker 1 (53:09):
Correct.
Speaker 3 (53:11):
I hope that he's ten because I feel like that'll
be the best case scenario, is that I knock him
off and then I go into tenth position.
Speaker 1 (53:20):
The level of pettiness required for you to spend possibly
the whole rest of your day for someone who's been
up since four am for work today, The level of
dedication to pettiness, honestly, it's laudable. It's actually admin Thank you.
Speaker 2 (53:34):
I appreciate that.
Speaker 1 (53:35):
The only thing I think that could make it funnier
would be if you took Ali Williams with you, and
you both knock Vaughan off the leaderboard and Ali Williams
regains his place on the leaderboard.
Speaker 3 (53:46):
If Ali Williams is listening, I would love him to
come down to the go karts into this morning.
Speaker 1 (53:52):
Our shout, it's our shout, Our.
Speaker 3 (53:53):
Shout will cover drinks and hot dogs yep in the
canteen and him and I on the track just trying
to knock Vaughan Smith.
Speaker 1 (54:03):
Actually impress of that. Ali Williams even got on there.
Ali Williams is six foot nine.
Speaker 2 (54:08):
The heavier like, correct me if I'm wrong. The heavier
you are, the lesser advantage you have.
Speaker 1 (54:15):
Yeah, slower you go, Yeah, it's not like a loge cart.
With the heavier you are, the more advantage you have
because you're using gravity because my.
Speaker 3 (54:21):
Dad always used to use it as an excuse when
I beat him at the.
Speaker 2 (54:24):
Go carts and he goes, you're a bit lighter than me.
Breeze acting cool about this.
Speaker 1 (54:29):
The second she gets in that car, she is going
to be max the Steppen level competitive. Okay, you're not
going to be able to talk to her.
Speaker 3 (54:38):
No, I'm just going to be laser focused. Do you
you've seen have you.
Speaker 2 (54:42):
Seen me driving a go car before? No, you've seen
me driving a real car. Yes, remember when we drove
the What was it? It was a new Hyundai.
Speaker 1 (54:50):
Oh yeah, we drove the I thirty in around the
racetrack with a stick.
Speaker 3 (54:55):
Honestly like and not let's forget we're on the radio.
Do you think that I can knock Vaughn Smith off
the go Kart top ten leaderboard?
Speaker 1 (55:03):
One hundred percent? Okay, one hundred percent. In fact, you've
got confidence. I'll be disappointed if you don't. I feel
like such a song and dance about it now that
if you don't, it's going to be embarrassing. But you
can't leave me. You can't leave if we have to
cross to you there in twenty four hours from now
and you're still doing laps of the go kart tracks,
So be it.
Speaker 2 (55:23):
How embarrassing If I've come on the radio, Gorn, I'm
going to go down and try and knock Vaughan Smith
off the leaderboard. And I can't do it, you can
do it.
Speaker 3 (55:32):
It'll be one of the biggest disappointments.
Speaker 1 (55:34):
Of my life.
Speaker 2 (55:36):
I'm going to give it all. I'm going to give
it my all, that's all I can do, and go
for a Wii first.
Speaker 1 (55:42):
So you're as light as you can beIN support coming
through for Brie and her pity quist to knock Vaughan
off the leaderboard at the go kart track.
Speaker 2 (55:51):
And I really appreciate that support.
Speaker 1 (55:53):
It's going to make the difference.
Speaker 2 (55:54):
It fuels me. It fuels me because I'm not just
doing it for me, then I'm doing it for the people.
Speaker 1 (55:59):
Also, speaking of few, producer Cordier just brought a whole
plate of hot hash Browns into the studio.
Speaker 2 (56:04):
She is the MVP of breakfast, isn't she. Thank you guys.
Speaker 1 (56:07):
That's real producing fuel for.
Speaker 2 (56:10):
The team that's producing for me.
Speaker 4 (56:12):
I brought it in last week as well, and then
every day since at least one person's gone.
Speaker 2 (56:16):
Where the hash brown yourself? You can bring them. How
much is a bag of hash Browns these days? I's
got about eight hash Browns for five dollars. That's pretty good.
Not bad, It's not bad.
Speaker 3 (56:28):
Wants to talk about a crazy coincidence that I heard
about in the last couple of weeks. So my fiance, Sapphire,
she's pregnant any day now, it could be, but July Goka,
it could be.
Speaker 2 (56:41):
July twenty is the actual due date.
Speaker 3 (56:44):
And so she works at a hospital and works at
a particular specialty ward.
Speaker 2 (56:51):
And so she.
Speaker 3 (56:53):
Works with a bunch of other nurses, and obviously she
has friends at work. And she said to me, because
her group of friends isn't enormous, but she's got like
this nice group of friends at work, and two of
the other nurses that she is friends with, they are
all so pregnant.
Speaker 2 (57:10):
Oh right at the moment. And get this, they all
have the same Jude date. What the exact same juwe
date the exact same.
Speaker 1 (57:19):
What are the chances of that?
Speaker 2 (57:21):
Does that not blow your mind?
Speaker 1 (57:23):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (57:24):
I feel like it's a pretty massive coincidence.
Speaker 1 (57:26):
What were you guys all doing on that one weekend
nine months ago? Did you have some kind of party?
And were you all together? You know?
Speaker 2 (57:35):
I don't think so. Yeah, but yeah, isn't isn't that
a huge coincidence? Is that every boss's worst nightmare?
Speaker 1 (57:42):
Two he's like, oh, no, I've got three staff who
are going to be off on maternity leave at least
they'll hopefully all be staggered by a month or so. No,
they'd you are exactly the same day.
Speaker 2 (57:51):
The exact same day. Yeah, that's a huge coincidence.
Speaker 1 (57:55):
We've talked to people on this show before who have
those crazy family coincidents too, where they were born on
the same day as their dad and their granddad.
Speaker 3 (58:04):
Which is what I want to ask for this morning.
What is the crazy birth coincidence? Like, do all your
family members? Do all the siblings have a birthday that's
on the same day or within a day of each other?
Speaker 1 (58:21):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (58:22):
Or do you your dad and your brother all share the
same birthday.
Speaker 1 (58:27):
It's quite cool for your baby and their babies because
if they if you are all friends, they're all going
to be maternity leave together, and they're going to be
the same age. They're going to have the same You
can have birthday parties together.
Speaker 2 (58:39):
Isn't it special? We'll grow up together. It's very cool. Yeah, yeah,
producer Ella, did you have one I do?
Speaker 6 (58:46):
You might make fun of me, but I think this
is a cool, you know, weird thing.
Speaker 1 (58:50):
We would never make fun of you.
Speaker 6 (58:52):
You're so kind. My sister born on a Wednesday two
weeks later. I was born on a Wednesday two weeks later.
Speaker 2 (59:01):
Wait you you were born first though?
Speaker 7 (59:04):
No?
Speaker 6 (59:04):
Sorry, this is just like in the calendar. Okay, right right,
and in two weeks after mine as my husband's also
a Wednesday. Let's just say do you get it.
Speaker 2 (59:15):
You're on the right track. But I think we can
do better. But not bad, but not too bad. Hey,
it wasn't awful. It was really mind blowing. I like
how you always crowbar are it in there? And I
admire that from you a blin podcast. Oh, there is
so many techs coming through for this.
Speaker 3 (59:35):
What is the birthdate? Coincidence? My partner sipped due in
a couple of weeks. The jue date is July twenty two.
Women that she works with that she's friends with, have
the exact same jue date.
Speaker 1 (59:50):
A few people have ticked in and said they spend
a lot of time together. Their cycles may have matched
up and they ovulated at the exact same time.
Speaker 2 (59:58):
How cool?
Speaker 7 (59:59):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (59:59):
Yes and no, because I feel they don't work every
shift together, so they're not seeing each other all the time.
Speaker 1 (01:00:06):
Can I say as a man, the sinking up thing
is the craziest thing to me? People, it's the craziest thing.
Speaker 3 (01:00:12):
People say it's all a myth. Oh really, People say
it's not real. Claudia always maintains that she doesn't believe it.
Speaker 2 (01:00:20):
I disagree. I think it will. I think it is
a thing. As someone who grew up in a girl's
boarding house in my late teens. Oh god, I'm telling you.
Speaker 4 (01:00:30):
Every now and then, but you're not gonna like.
Speaker 1 (01:00:34):
I think Bree suggesting the entire boarding.
Speaker 3 (01:00:36):
House every girl in grade twelve that was in the
boarding house at the same time alone.
Speaker 2 (01:00:40):
It's the moon.
Speaker 6 (01:00:41):
The moon does the tides in the water.
Speaker 1 (01:00:44):
It also does it.
Speaker 2 (01:00:46):
Oh my gosh, it's ridiculous. It hasn't been an ongoing
fight for years. I know.
Speaker 4 (01:00:51):
I just know I'm right, so I don't need to
argue it.
Speaker 6 (01:00:53):
Nah.
Speaker 3 (01:00:53):
I don't care what science says. I've seen it, I've experienced.
Speaker 1 (01:00:57):
Quote Brie Thomas L. I don't care what's sence. We want.
I know where your crazy birth coincidences. Birthday coincidence? Logan
is on the phone, Morning Logan.
Speaker 2 (01:01:05):
Morning Logan born? And how good? Thanks? What is the
crazy coincidence?
Speaker 1 (01:01:10):
Mate?
Speaker 6 (01:01:11):
I've got three for you, Okay, myself, my dad and
one comes from each side.
Speaker 1 (01:01:16):
Were born on the same name.
Speaker 2 (01:01:18):
Wow, whoa what day does it? Logan A?
Speaker 1 (01:01:23):
March Patrick?
Speaker 2 (01:01:24):
Okay? What's nine months before that?
Speaker 1 (01:01:28):
I love it at Saint Patrick's Day? How good is
are you, guys? Irish? I'd love to do you are? Yeah? Yeah, yeah,
you might as well be how good Nicolas here? Nicola?
Speaker 2 (01:01:39):
Hi, Nicola, Hey, how are you?
Speaker 1 (01:01:42):
We're good Nicola and Nicaalia.
Speaker 2 (01:01:45):
Nicia cool name. What is the crazy birth coincidence? Naicalia?
Speaker 5 (01:01:51):
So I'm the middle child. I've got a younger sister
that's eight and a half years younger than me, and
an older sister that's eight and a half years older
than me. Right, none of us were planned. Yeah, and
then we also found out that my mum and her
younger sister are eight and a half years apart.
Speaker 1 (01:02:10):
Not planned either. Okay, now that is getting crazy.
Speaker 2 (01:02:14):
That is that is getting crazy.
Speaker 1 (01:02:15):
It's like women in your family.
Speaker 2 (01:02:17):
And half years you know where, it's like, oh, that's pretty.
Speaker 5 (01:02:20):
I think they just really wanted some babysitters.
Speaker 1 (01:02:23):
Maybe it was always a like of age babysitter that
they or women in your family, when they are ready
to have babies, they get given a baby every eight
and a half years.
Speaker 8 (01:02:36):
Yep.
Speaker 2 (01:02:37):
Yeah, wow, wow.
Speaker 1 (01:02:39):
Thanks to Carlia. That's fascinating. We asked for your birthday coincidence.
As someone said, my son, my niece, and my nephew
all born on the same day.
Speaker 2 (01:02:47):
My son, my niece and wow.
Speaker 1 (01:02:50):
Not family, but I recently found out that there is
a person who lives about two hours away from me
that was born on the same day as me and
has the same first and last names. No, you could
have been switched to birth. Oh you could have been
two hours away. Is not far enough for them not
to encroach on your life. Like if they do a
(01:03:10):
crime and the police are out looking for Anna Winston,
they could come looking for you thirty two years of
old in the Munoa two region.
Speaker 2 (01:03:19):
Imagine too complicated.
Speaker 3 (01:03:21):
It would be like if you got taken into custody
trying to convince them that you were the other Anna Winston.
Speaker 1 (01:03:27):
Yeah that I pull the other one. Mate, we know
what's your day of birth? And you go, well, you're
not going to believe this.
Speaker 3 (01:03:33):
I've got the say and they're like, oh, what a coincident.
Someone said, I was born on my mom's twenty second birthday.
What a better way to spend your birthday than being
in labor for twenty two hours?
Speaker 1 (01:03:45):
Twenty two twenty two. Keep the twos going, what about this?
I gave birth on the twenty second of the second
two thousand and two, at twenty twenty and there were
two of them.
Speaker 2 (01:03:55):
Whoa yeah, that's pretty wild.
Speaker 3 (01:03:58):
This person said, I married a guy with the same
birthdate as me, the same day and month birthday. Breakfast
in bed was always a battle. We're divorced now, we're.
Speaker 1 (01:04:12):
Divorced now, Laura said, my dad, myself, and my daughter
all have the same birthday. That's cool. That's three generations
that it's gone down.
Speaker 2 (01:04:20):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:04:20):
Yeah, I told you the story. We were at some
friends of ours and their new friends that we have
made through my daughter's school, and we were talking about
my wife's fortieth birthday that was coming up, and they
were like, the mum and that family was like, oh,
my fortieth birthday's coming up too.
Speaker 2 (01:04:35):
That's right.
Speaker 1 (01:04:35):
They figured out they were born on the same day,
in the same year, in the same hospital.
Speaker 2 (01:04:41):
Yeah, I remember you telling me this.
Speaker 1 (01:04:43):
And now they're friends.
Speaker 2 (01:04:44):
Yeah. Crazy, That is crazy. There's so many of these texts.
Speaker 1 (01:04:49):
There's so many that it's starting to feel less special special.
Speaker 2 (01:04:54):
Someone said me, my dad and my granddad are all
twenty seven years apart. I broke that sadly, as I
haven't had kids. Oh oh, what a good reason to
have kids though, to keep.
Speaker 1 (01:05:06):
That motivation, No, get you hit around this one. My
sister was born on my mum's birthday. My son was
born on my birthday. My daughter was born on my
dad's birthday. So everyone in my birth family now shares
their birthday with someone else in the family that might
be the winner. That's going to be so sad when
your birth twin dies.
Speaker 6 (01:05:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:05:27):
No, and you have to have your birthday alone.
Speaker 2 (01:05:29):
Yeah, because you would have always shared it.
Speaker 1 (01:05:31):
Yeah. Someonie was born seventeen days late on my birthday.
He waited, he waited to come on your birthday.
Speaker 2 (01:05:39):
If my fiance Saphara is listening, that's not a true story.
Seventeen days No, it doesn't go seventeen days late. Don't
tell when Saphia's birthday. Oh, not till December twenty eighth.
Speaker 1 (01:05:53):
Oh, that's going to be a rough ride.
Speaker 2 (01:05:54):
That's a real late baby.
Speaker 1 (01:05:57):
