Speaker 1 (00:00):
ZM's Brie and Clint podcast.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Play ZM's Brie and Clint. ZM's Brie and Clint, thanks
to KFC.

Speaker 3 (00:11):
Oh my God.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
It's Friday. Make some noise.

Speaker 1 (00:16):
For the original.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
ZM's Brie and Clint. What up, everybody? Welcome to the
Brie and Clint show on a, where we are, very
wet and rainy Friday. Yeah, it is pouring here, cats
and dogs. But it can't dampen our spirit. Absolutely not.

Speaker 4 (00:32):
Not when there's a huge weekend on the horizon.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
What have we got in store? We've got the Warriors
on Saturday night. We've got the Black Ferns ahead of
the All Blacks, both playing the Springboks in South Africa
this weekend. We've got Father's Day on Sunday. That's right.
It is Father's Day is on Sunday.

Speaker 5 (00:49):
Father's Day is on Sunday.

Speaker 4 (00:51):
I organised a little piece of audio for you in
the lead up to Father's Day.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
I think Claudia's going to put it on the wall
for you. It might be in pink.

Speaker 4 (01:00):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
Happy Father's Day, Dad.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
I love you.

Speaker 4 (01:03):
I hope you have a very special Father's Day.

Speaker 6 (01:07):
Happy Father's Day, Dad, and I hope you enjoy Father's
Day and this lovely message.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
That is so cute. That's your girls, Tilly and Maggie. Oh,
those are my girls. Oh, I thought that was just
some random children you got for the show. No, I
got your girls especially. Well, that's very sweet. To wish
you a happy Father's Day. So happy Father's Day. That's
very cute because yesterday, Tonya was getting ready for school
and someone mentioned Father's Day and she goes, when's Father's Day?
And Lucy goes, it's on Sunday. And she goes, but

(01:35):
I haven't done anything. Well, there you go. She's sent
you a lovely message to play on the radio. That
is beautiful. Thank you. I appreciate that. You're welcome. Fun
show on the way for you guys today. We're doing
Bruno Mars for Fridayoke, but there's a good reason, okay?
He's doing three Eden Park shows, and we have a
double pass to give away at 5pm to see him live.
This is the song we're doing. Correct me if I'm wrong.

(02:05):
One of Bruno Mars' biggest songs ever.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
Correct.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
You are not wrong. If not the biggest. I'm particularly
excited to hear Brie do this one. Why? It's because
I got a sample of your... My voice doesn't go
that low. Go on, give us a little dig in.
It's going to be so good. Five o'clock.

Speaker 7 (02:29):
Oh, no.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
With free Bruno Mars tickets. First, Tradie vs. Lady. 74 tradies,
70 ladies. $ 100 cash up for grabs thanks to Jobspace.
Who wants it?

Speaker 1 (02:41):
Play Zeddy's Bree and Clint.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
Let's play Tradie vs. Lady. This is the main event.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
Tradie vs. Lady.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
Thanks to Jobspace. Yeah, we're big time, baby. We've got
a sponsor. Jobspace is on board. They're celebrating 20 years
of Jobspace. You can find your next opportunity at jobspace.co.nz. Ella,
is that where you went to find your next job?
Did you go on jobspace.co.nz?

Speaker 1 (03:07):
I actually did.

Speaker 8 (03:08):
How did you know?

Speaker 2 (03:08):
Well, I just assumed that's where you go. That's the
place to go. Exactly. Thanks to Jobspace, there's $ 100 cash
up for grabs for the winner of Tradie vs.

Speaker 9 (03:16):
Lady.

Speaker 4 (03:17):
There sure is. How bloody good. The Tradies are on
74 wins for the year. Picked up a few late
wins in the week this week. The Lady's on 70.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
Our Lady is in Cambridge. She's 44 and she just
bought a new house and she's getting a swimming pool.
Welcome to the show, Erica. Hi, Erica. Hi. How good
is that?

Speaker 4 (03:37):
A swimming pool and all. How many months of the
year do you reckon you could use it in Cambridge?

Speaker 5 (03:43):
Oh, yeah, a good few, I reckon.

Speaker 3 (03:45):
But with this rain, I won't be waiting too.

Speaker 8 (03:46):
Long for it, I don't think.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
Yeah, bloody good. All right, you're taking on our tradie today.
He's calling from Nelson. He's 42 and he is a
two times unbeaten tradie versus lady champion. Welcome to the show, Brad.

Speaker 10 (03:58):
Hi, Brad.

Speaker 4 (03:59):
Hey, guys, how are you?

Speaker 2 (04:00):
That's intimidating. Yeah, good, Brad, isn't it? That's really... Erica,
you must be intimidated by that, aren't you?

Speaker 3 (04:06):
No.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
Yeah, I like that, Erica. Stand your ground. Brad, your
buzz is tradie. Erica, lady, the first of three correct
answers gets $ 100 cash thanks to Jobspace. Here we go, guys.
Question number one.

Speaker 4 (04:19):
Who is the founder and CEO of SpaceX?

Speaker 11 (04:24):
Brady.

Speaker 2 (04:24):
Brad, by the skin of his teeth.

Speaker 7 (04:27):
Elon Musk.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
It is Elon Musk. You knew that too, didn't you, Erica?

Speaker 1 (04:31):
I sure did.

Speaker 4 (04:33):
You were just there. You just missed out. Question number two,
one to the tradies. Both the Black Ferns and the
All Blacks play this weekend against which nation?

Speaker 2 (04:42):
Yes, Brad. South Africa.

Speaker 12 (04:45):
Oh.

Speaker 11 (04:46):
God, you are.

Speaker 5 (04:46):
Maybe I should be intimidated.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
Maybe. Maybe. Or maybe you should mount one of the
great comebacks, Erica.

Speaker 4 (04:53):
And just even buzz in before you know what the
answer is.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
Here we go.

Speaker 4 (04:56):
Question number three. You need this one to stay in it.
Buzz in when you can tell me who sings this song.

Speaker 2 (05:03):
Erica.

Speaker 3 (05:03):
Oh, God.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
Three, two, one.

Speaker 4 (05:14):
Oh, I'm going to give it to her right on
the buzzer.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
Okay, yeah. Deal. 2-1 to the tradies. We move to
question four.

Speaker 4 (05:23):
Kiwis are drinking a record low amount of booze in 2026.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
Name a brand of alcohol sold in New Zealand. Erica.

Speaker 3 (05:30):
Sauvignon Blanc wine.

Speaker 2 (05:33):
Not a brand. Not a brand. Bread?

Speaker 3 (05:37):
Lion Red.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
Lion Red is a brand. And that's the gag. Oh, God.
That was a heated game. It was, wasn't it? I
could hear Brad just absolutely seething at some of those.
He did well. He did very well. He took it
very seriously, Erica. Not that you didn't. Erica was right
in there. You did very well, mate. I just know

(05:58):
there was passion.

Speaker 4 (05:59):
Not good enough to beat the two-time, now three-time champ, Brad.

Speaker 5 (06:02):
Well done, Brad.

Speaker 7 (06:05):
Thanks, mate.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
Oh, good. Thanks to Jobspace. They are proudly 100% New
Zealand owned, connecting Kiwis with opportunities since 2006.

Speaker 4 (06:16):
I saw a post from somebody who works in the
Hamish and Andy team. His name is Jack. He does
all the buttons and he's been with them for years.
And he makes content as well. And he put up
this post about his four-year-old child. where he was quite
concerned about something they said.

Speaker 9 (06:36):
We're trying to do this thing where you go around
the table and say, what's one interesting thing that happened
to each person today? So I prompt that, but before
anyone's even answered the question, he goes to me with
the biggest smile on his face, I think you're going.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
To die soon.

Speaker 4 (06:49):
I think you're.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
Going to die soon.

Speaker 9 (06:53):
And I laugh because it's so absurd, but at the
same time, my body actually goes cold.

Speaker 2 (06:59):
Kids know these things. It's like how dogs can sense earthquakes,
you know?

Speaker 4 (07:05):
Well, they say that kids, before you're influenced, you know,
as you get older by society and all these other things.

Speaker 2 (07:12):
They still have their third eye open. Yeah, that's what
they say, and they have their sixth sense. Oh, R.I.P.
Jack Post. He's great. I'm going to miss him. Yeah,
I wonder when it's going to happen. Yeah. That would
terrify me. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (07:25):
Like if that happened to me, if a child came
up to me and said that to me, I would
be so scared.

Speaker 2 (07:31):
I have friends who talk about waking up to their
toddler like standing over them, just watching them sleep. They're
not there to wake them up. They've come down from
their bed, they've snuck into the room and then they
just stand over them and they wake up and you're like, um,
are you okay? And they're like, yeah, I'm just watching you.
My daughter, my youngest daughter, it would be probably about
two years ago now, we were playing with those magnet

(07:52):
tile things and she built like a house.

Speaker 3 (07:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (07:55):
And I said to her, oh, tell me about the house.
And she goes, this is the kitchen and this is
the bedroom and this is the room where they take
all the blood out of your body and this is
the room where they put the blood back into your
body and this is the other bedroom. What was it,
a house from the Saw movie? I was like, oh.
That's terrifying. She goes, yeah. I was like, uh-uh. why?

(08:18):
And then she moved on to the next thing. She
was like, I'm not playing this anymore. It was as
far as we got. You're like, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Tell me. I remember when she said it, I wrote
it down. I was like, this is too good.

Speaker 4 (08:28):
One of my little nephews, I remember I was babysitting
for my sister one weekend and I was trying to
put him to bed and he went, he would go
to bed quite early. So it was still quite light out. And, um,
He would be like, no, leave the window open. I
want the light in the room. And I'd be like, really?
And he'd go, yeah, I'm scared of the woman in

(08:49):
the roof.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
And I was like, what? There's a woman in the roof?
Me too, now. I was like, can I sleep in
your room with you?

Speaker 1 (08:58):
The woman in the roof.

Speaker 2 (09:00):
Woman in the roof is so specific too. That's so specific.
Because he knows it's a woman as well. Yeah. Not
the person in the roof, not the man in the roof,
the woman in the roof. How do you know it's
a woman? Because we talk. That's terrifying. Because she has
a very old and tattered dress on. I can hear
her crying. Flaps in the wind. We want to know,

(09:21):
and this is pretty universal, what is a creepy thing
that a kid said to you? It happens. It happens
a lot.

Speaker 11 (09:27):
Mm-hmm.

Speaker 2 (09:28):
Particularly creepy. I'm trying to figure out if it's more
creepy from your own kid or from a stranger's kid.
Both are creepy. From your own kid, it can be
more out of the blue because you know if your
kid is normal. With a stranger's kid, you're like, well,
that kid could just be an odd one.

Speaker 4 (09:44):
I don't know the background of that kid. He could
have watched a movie accidentally and got.

Speaker 2 (09:48):
It from that. Yeah, or that kid could be a
total freakazoid. You know, we just don't know. But if
you'd be calling kids freakazoid. No, I'm not calling a
kid a freakazoid. I'm just saying some kids are freakazoid.
You know it. 0800 dial ZM or you can text
your experience to 9696. We want to know the creepy

(10:08):
thing that a kid said to you. Don't call in
if you're the woman from the roof. I don't want to.

Speaker 1 (10:15):
Hear from you.

Speaker 4 (10:16):
Right now we're asking you, what's the creepy thing a
kid said to you?

Speaker 2 (10:21):
We have had so many incredible messages come through about this.

Speaker 5 (10:24):
So many.

Speaker 2 (10:25):
I think we need to get straight into them. Selena
is here. Hi, Selena. Hi, Selena. Hi. Hi, guys.

Speaker 3 (10:30):
Can I say long-time listener, first-time caller?

Speaker 2 (10:33):
Of course you can. First-time caller. What a wonderful way
to start our Friday. Great to have you on, Selena.

Speaker 8 (10:41):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (10:42):
Tell us, what's the creepy thing a kid said to you?

Speaker 3 (10:44):
Okay, so my daughter was about four at the time,
and I was in a really bad workplace.

Speaker 11 (10:52):
It was quite toxic.

Speaker 2 (10:53):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (10:54):
And I was wondering whether I... handed in without getting
another job.

Speaker 4 (10:59):
I was really nervous.

Speaker 3 (11:00):
So she just ended up sitting on the end of
the bed one night and just laughing and saying, look
at all the people around the bed, Mum. And I went, what?
And she said, they're all saying, don't worry about the job.
It'll be fine.

Speaker 4 (11:13):
Whoa.

Speaker 2 (11:15):
I just got.
My whole body, my whole body just went cold, Selena. Also,
great to get advice from a group of people.

Speaker 3 (11:24):
I know. I still to this day don't know who
they were.

Speaker 2 (11:28):
But thank you anyway. I don't want to put thoughts
in your head, Selena, but I know other things that
happen in the bed. And are you now concerned that
there is a group of people standing around the bed
sharing opinions of that too?

Speaker 3 (11:41):
A hundred percent.

Speaker 2 (11:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (11:43):
Every time it's like, if I'm at home by myself
and just like, who's in the room?

Speaker 2 (11:47):
Who's in there? They might be laughing in that situation
as well. Who knows? Terrifying. Thank you, Selena. Siobhan's here. Hi, Siobhan. Hi, Siobhan.

Speaker 9 (11:57):
Hi, guys.

Speaker 2 (11:58):
You were the creepy kid that said something weird.

Speaker 1 (12:01):
Yeah, okay, but the worst part is I didn't know
any of this.

Speaker 11 (12:05):
We were sitting around last year as a family talking
about creepy kids saying weird stuff all the time.

Speaker 2 (12:11):
And my mum, out of the blue, says, yeah, that
was you.

Speaker 11 (12:14):
You were that kid that used to say all of
these unnerving things as a child.

Speaker 4 (12:18):
Interesting.

Speaker 11 (12:19):
And I turned around and asked her to elaborate.

Speaker 3 (12:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (12:22):
She said.

Speaker 2 (12:23):
Almost nothing.

Speaker 11 (12:24):
And then said, yeah. And at one point, this woman
came up to you when you were about four, never
seen her before, and said that you'd been here before. Oh.

Speaker 1 (12:32):
I don't need that nightmare feel, thank you.

Speaker 2 (12:35):
Wait, you told a lady that you had been there before?

Speaker 11 (12:38):
No, she said it about me.

Speaker 4 (12:40):
A lady came up to her and goes, this child's
been on this earth before.

Speaker 2 (12:45):
I see.

Speaker 11 (12:46):
Yes.

Speaker 9 (12:46):
Very crazy.

Speaker 2 (12:47):
You carried any of those powers forward, Siobhan?

Speaker 11 (12:51):
Probably not for the betterment of everyone.

Speaker 3 (12:54):
I think. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (12:55):
Repress that one. Push it down.

Speaker 11 (12:57):
General creepy things about people in rooms and grandparents I
hadn't met.

Speaker 2 (13:03):
Oh, God, yuck. Okay, let's get into these. Someone said,
I was babysitting my younger cousin in the night. He
woke up at like 6 a.m. and was standing next
to the bed just staring straight into my soul. Yeah,
kids do that, eh? That's low level.

Speaker 3 (13:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (13:19):
My son used to always talk about a man in
a white coat. Not just once, this went on for
about two years. It used to scare me so much.

Speaker 3 (13:28):
Nump.

Speaker 4 (13:29):
Someone else said it was actually me as a child.
I was talking in my bedroom. Apparently my mum came
in and asked me what I was doing. I turned
around and said that I'm talking to the man who
looks like dad, but my dad at the time was
actually a soldier and we lived in army housing at
the time. And when my mum asked me who I
was talking to further, I described the man and it

(13:51):
happened to be the next door neighbour's son who had
just been killed overseas in action.

Speaker 2 (13:55):
Hell no! Absolutely not. Don't tell the neighbour that one.
Can you imagine?

Speaker 4 (14:07):
Because they'd obviously been talking about this and then they go,
was it this person? And they show a photo and
you go, that's the guy.

Speaker 2 (14:13):
That's the guy. I'm an ECE teacher and a kid
said to me recently that he hears people singing in
his ceiling. That's the old woman in the roof.

Speaker 11 (14:21):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (14:21):
That bloody woman in the roof. My niece, who was six,
made us all homemade Christmas cards and gave them to
us on Christmas Eve and they all said, rest in
peace on Christmas night. Burn those cards. Burn them. Don't
go to sleep on Christmas Eve. Rest in peace on
Christmas night. Stay up.

Speaker 4 (14:43):
That would freak me out. Someone else said, I went
to bless a house. I'm a minister and I was
talking to the family with a two-year-old playing on the floor.
He suddenly stopped, giggled at the corner and said, hi, ghost.
I did the blessing and the second I finished my
closing prayer, he waved at the door and said, bye ghost.

Speaker 2 (15:03):
No.

Speaker 4 (15:03):
The family were adamant that they didn't teach him the
word ghost.

Speaker 2 (15:09):
Does that minister do exorcisms? Someone said we did a
home kill sheep and dad had a fridge for a chiller.
A couple of days later, we were at the supermarket
and my sister leaned over the checkout counter. and said
to the lady in a very spooky voice, we've got
a dead sheep in the fridge. Which you do. I

(15:31):
love that. That's so good. She didn't say we've got
a body in the freezer. Which that would have also
been true. This is creepy. Someone said at my daughter's
new daycare, one of the little three-year-old boys punched himself
in the nuts and then peed himself while laughing.

Speaker 3 (15:45):
Whoa.

Speaker 2 (15:45):
Whoa, dudes.

Speaker 6 (15:46):
Whoa.

Speaker 2 (15:49):
Someone said.

Speaker 4 (15:50):
When my girl was two years old, she told me
that I'm from the black planet and we aren't happy
with how humans treat the earth and it will go
black soon if we don't look after it. It was
so scary and she'd seen or heard nothing that could
make her say that.

Speaker 2 (16:08):
It was crazy. That came from a two-year-old?

Speaker 9 (16:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (16:11):
From a two-year-old? So the two-year-old said.

Speaker 4 (16:14):
I'm from the black planet and we aren't happy with
how humans treat the earth and it will go black
soon too if you don't look after it.

Speaker 2 (16:21):
God, Greta Thunberg.

Speaker 3 (16:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (16:23):
The spirit of Greta is in that child. My daughter,
when she was three, said to me, I remember when
I used to be a mum but then I had
to go to hospital. That'll do. That'll do. That'll do.
That'll do. But that was in the olden times.

Speaker 1 (16:44):
Their names, Bray and Clint. This is The Tay.

Speaker 2 (16:51):
This is quite surprising news to come out overnight. Chicken
Shop Date is coming to an end. One of the
most successful YouTube series out there. And one of the big, big, big,
big promotional vehicles for artists and movies these days to
get their message out there. Anyone who's got an album
coming out or a film coming out, they either book

(17:11):
an interview with Amelia on Chicken Shop Date or they
book something on Hot Ones. Yeah, both those. If you
get the duo, you know your press tour's been good.
And you know that they are making huge money out
of those channels, which is why I was so surprised. Amelia,
who hosts Chicken Shop Date, who I still have quite
a big crush on, by the by, she said that

(17:34):
it's coming to an end after a massive 12-year run.
She said it's time to move on from this adventure
and on to a new one. I was like, you're crazy, girl.
Why are you doing this? You're crazy. I have a theory. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (17:46):
I think she has something else to go to. So,
she's doing one more season and I reckon it'll be star-studded.

Speaker 2 (17:52):
I reckon it's a late night show.

Speaker 11 (17:56):
Oh, okay.

Speaker 2 (17:56):
That's what my gut says. Well, the rumour is that
she is producing adult drama for the BBC, kind of
like a modern version of Skins.

Speaker 4 (18:06):
Okay.

Speaker 7 (18:07):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (18:08):
That's cool.

Speaker 4 (18:09):
But yeah, that would be an option too. I feel
like she could be the next like Graham Norton. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (18:13):
You know, he can't do that job forever. No, and
they will be looking to bring a younger audience in.
And she knows all the stars. She's interviewed them all. Yeah, okay.
I feel like it makes sense. How old do you
think Amelia from Chicken Shop Date is? I reckon she's
early 30s. Like 32? Bang on. Is she 32? So yeah,

(18:34):
right time to do something different, but There would be
so many people going, are you sure? Are you sure
you want to cancel this thing? I feel like she
would have interviewed all of her bucket list people that
she wanted to, you reckon? Yeah, but they're still making
more people. They're still making more people? Yeah. You know?
Maybe someone new soon. Has she had Sienna Spiro on

(18:55):
there yet?

Speaker 3 (18:55):
No.

Speaker 2 (18:56):
Probably not. She's great.

Speaker 3 (18:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (18:58):
Who the hell is going to interview Sienna Spiro now?
She'll go on Hot Ones. Maybe she doesn't like chicken wings. Well,
she's going to have to pretend. Ella, you're our resident YouTuber.
What do vegetarians eat when they go on Hot Ones?

Speaker 12 (19:11):
Well, Billie's been on, and she had, like, yeah, vegan chicken.

Speaker 11 (19:15):
Yuck.

Speaker 2 (19:15):
So, like, tofu-y, maybe. I mean, sorry, I didn't mean
to react like that.

Speaker 9 (19:18):
Soy.

Speaker 1 (19:19):
I'm ignoring you.

Speaker 4 (19:20):
Yeah, it's quite delicious.

Speaker 2 (19:21):
The Hot Ones vegan soy special. Yeah, delish. It's not
about the chicken. It's about the hot sauce at the
end of the day. I'd love to try it. What
do the vegans eat on chicken shop day? That would
have been the more obvious question. Just the chips.

Speaker 11 (19:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (19:34):
Well, Billie Eilish has been on that too. What does
she eat?

Speaker 11 (19:38):
Soy chicken.

Speaker 2 (19:39):
Wait, honey soy chicken. I love honey soy chicken. Is
honey soy chicken vegan? I didn't say honey, but that's
a whole other discussion. They probably ate lamb. I don't know, man.

Speaker 11 (19:49):
Can I go?

Speaker 7 (19:50):
Go?

Speaker 2 (19:50):
Do you eat fish?

Speaker 11 (19:51):
Can I go now?

Speaker 2 (19:52):
You can have the fish. You're done here, Ella.

Speaker 1 (19:56):
Yeah, cool, bye.

Speaker 2 (19:58):
You guys are going to a pit bull party this weekend.
We sure are.

Speaker 4 (20:05):
A friend of ours is having a birthday party and
it's pitbull dress up.

Speaker 2 (20:08):
She loves pitbull. Who doesn't? So the idea is whack
on a bald cap. Is it whack on the suit
as well? You put on a black suit as well?
I think so.

Speaker 8 (20:18):
I'm drawing on a beard and everything.

Speaker 2 (20:19):
Wow. Oh, you're drawing on a beard. I'm just growing
mine out.

Speaker 8 (20:24):
I'm not blessed like you.

Speaker 2 (20:26):
You should be so lucky.

Speaker 7 (20:28):
I know.

Speaker 2 (20:28):
Bristly bree. Had to get something from my Italian heritage. Yeah, well,
a soul is nice.

Speaker 8 (20:34):
I'm learning all the sayings as well.

Speaker 2 (20:36):
Are you going too? Yeah, Mr. Worldwide.

Speaker 3 (20:38):
Dale. Mr.

Speaker 11 (20:40):
305.

Speaker 2 (20:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (20:41):
Anything else I should learn? That's most of it.

Speaker 4 (20:44):
You know, he always, always goes, zap, bang, pow.

Speaker 2 (20:48):
Zap, bang, pow. Yeah, yeah. That's good. And shakadaboomba.

Speaker 11 (20:52):
Really?

Speaker 1 (20:52):
Or are you just teasing me?

Speaker 2 (20:53):
It's a big one in his early stuff.

Speaker 11 (20:55):
Oh, okay.

Speaker 2 (20:55):
Yeah, it's one of his top songs. And yubbly jubbly.
What song does he say? Oh, in the hotel motel,
he goes, yubbly jubbly. Hotel motel. Yubbly jubbly. And he
does that song, Men in Black.

Speaker 3 (21:09):
Yep.

Speaker 8 (21:11):
That's Will Smith.

Speaker 2 (21:13):
Is it not? You got me. It's Will I Am Smith.
The bit about a costume party that people never factor
in is the getting to the costume party. And we
were having this conversation at lunchtime today because Claudia said
to us, I don't know whether to get dressed as
Pitbull and then travel to the Pitbull party as Pitbull.
Do I put Pitbull on the bus? Once you're amongst

(21:35):
other Pitbulls, you're safe. It's fine. Or do I take
my costume in a bag and get changed at the
Pitbull party?

Speaker 8 (21:41):
I think either way I'm travelling in a suit, but
am I bald on the bus?

Speaker 11 (21:44):
Yep. Yeah.

Speaker 12 (21:45):
Oh, on the bus is different to in an Uber.
Still feels weird being the only pit bull in the Uber.

Speaker 4 (21:51):
Yeah, but in an Uber you can go, I'm going
to a costume party and you just explain it to
one person. Maybe.

Speaker 2 (21:56):
And then it's fine.

Speaker 11 (21:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (21:58):
Maybe you find a bald Uber driver. Oh, and we
can bond over there.

Speaker 2 (22:02):
Can you request that? You know how you can request
the Uber driver doesn't talk to you?

Speaker 11 (22:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (22:06):
Can you request a bald Uber driver?

Speaker 12 (22:07):
Maybe.

Speaker 8 (22:07):
You might feel a bit better.

Speaker 2 (22:08):
What if you get on the bus and like a
man with male pattern baldness comes sees you and he
comes over to you and he says, my culture is
not your costume. How are you going to respond to that?
You know? I'll be like, being bald is not a culture.
I'd say, darling.

Speaker 12 (22:26):
I'll send my aviators and see if he wants to
join the pit bull party.

Speaker 2 (22:29):
Okay.

Speaker 11 (22:30):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (22:32):
Loving Pitbull, now that's a culture, darling. It's a lifestyle.

Speaker 4 (22:36):
It reminded me of this story of when I was
going to this dress-up party. A friend of mine was
having a birthday party and her name was Amy, so
everyone had to go as something starting with A, and
I kept it real simple.

Speaker 2 (22:50):
Did you go as Fair Amy from– No. Did you
go as an asshole?

Speaker 4 (22:54):
Would have been an easy costume for me. Both of those. I–
Amy Winehouse had just died and I was like, as
a tribute to her, I was like, I'm going to
go as Amy Winehouse. And I went all out. I
had the tattoos. I had the full wing eyeliner. I

(23:14):
had the full beehive hair. I had the nails.

Speaker 2 (23:18):
I had everything.

Speaker 4 (23:19):
And I got all dressed up at my house and
I was like, I look amazing. I was like, I
look so much like her. And then I was like, oh, shit,
how am I going to get there? And I realised
I hadn't gone to the Bottle-O yet. And I was like,
I'm going to have to.

Speaker 7 (23:32):
Go to the Bottle-O.

Speaker 2 (23:33):
You go. And dressed as Amy Winehouse. And I turn
up there.

Speaker 4 (23:39):
I still remember to this day the guy who was
working there, how hard he laughed.

Speaker 2 (23:45):
It made his night. I wish he'd hit you with a,
aren't you meant to be in rehab? You shouldn't be here.
You're meant to be in rehab. I can't sell this
to you. Haven't you got a drinking problem?

Speaker 10 (23:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (23:57):
Aren't you dead? My daddy told me no, no, no.
We want to know if you were going to a
costume party and you didn't factor in the commute. You
had to travel somewhere in full costume. What was the
costume for? And how did you get there?

Speaker 1 (24:15):
The ZM Podcast Network.

Speaker 2 (24:17):
Did you not factor the commute into your costume party
and you had to travel to the costume party in costume?
Our producer Claudia is going to a pit bull party
on Saturday and she's not confident enough to get on
the bus in full black suit and bald cap. Are you, Claude?

Speaker 8 (24:34):
On the way home, I would be, and I probably will.

Speaker 12 (24:37):
It just feels weird being a solo pitbull in a
sea of people who aren't.

Speaker 2 (24:41):
I'm catching an Uber in my pitbull get-up tomorrow. I
don't care. Oh, so brave in your Uber. Get on
the bus. Catch the train. Walk.

Speaker 3 (24:48):
Live a little.

Speaker 2 (24:49):
Walk through the CBD.

Speaker 12 (24:50):
Lime scooter.

Speaker 2 (24:52):
I probably would. That'd be quite funny. Someone goes, there's
reports of a flying pit bull through the CBD. Sarah's here. Hi, Sarah. Hi, Sarah. Hi,
how are you guys? We've heard a strong rumor that
you're currently in costume right now.

Speaker 11 (25:06):
Yes, that's correct.

Speaker 2 (25:07):
Are you actually? What are you dressed as?

Speaker 10 (25:09):
I am an Oompa Loompa from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Speaker 2 (25:14):
Love it. Yeah, and where are you headed? Have you
got an orange face right now?

Speaker 5 (25:18):
I sure do.

Speaker 2 (25:19):
In the green wood. So good. Are you in your
car or are you in an Uber? I'm in my car.

Speaker 3 (25:24):
I'm driving home from the school dress-up day.

Speaker 2 (25:28):
Oh, great. If I pulled up next to an Oompa
Loompa at the traffic lights, I'd have to breath test myself.
I'd be like, am I drink driving? Can we try
something right now?

Speaker 4 (25:38):
If you can currently see an Oompa Loompa, whereabouts in
the country are you right now, Sarah?

Speaker 5 (25:45):
In Christchurch.

Speaker 2 (25:45):
You're in Christchurch?

Speaker 1 (25:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 11 (25:48):
Where?

Speaker 2 (25:48):
Can you describe where you are? Oh, sort of Burnside. 9696.
I don't want to give out any more details, actually.

Speaker 3 (25:56):
No.

Speaker 2 (25:56):
Text us if you have seen an Oompa Loompa driving
around Burnside this afternoon. Sarah, can you hold the line? Sure. Yeah,
because if we get this, I'd love to sync it up.
What colour car was the Oompa Loompa driving? That is
the key detail. That's how we'll know if you're telling
the truth. Correct. 9696. Let's go to Sam. Hi, Sam. Hi, Sam.

Speaker 5 (26:14):
Hi, how are you guys?

Speaker 2 (26:16):
Good, thanks. Did you have to do a commute in
a dress-up?

Speaker 5 (26:21):
I did. I was in full Scarecrow costume. Yeah, look,
orange face and all.

Speaker 2 (26:26):
Love it.

Speaker 5 (26:27):
All hanging out of my sleeves and my... gumboots that
were like five sizes too big. And I rocked up
to a burger bar after... forgetting that I was in
full costume.

Speaker 2 (26:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (26:36):
Well, people either thought that woman is in dress-up or
she's had a hard day on the farm.

Speaker 5 (26:42):
So I live in Cambridge, so the elderly people were
very confused.

Speaker 2 (26:47):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 5 (26:48):
But the store workers were great.

Speaker 2 (26:51):
God, you wouldn't want to forget your costume and light
up a cigarette while you're in the Scarecrow costume, would you? Yeah, dangerous. Terrifying. Okay,
very funny, Sam. Thank you. Let's go to Dee. Hi, Dee. Hi, Dee.

Speaker 7 (27:02):
Hi.

Speaker 2 (27:02):
Did you have to commute in costume?

Speaker 3 (27:05):
Yeah, I was at my daughter's 20, going to my
daughter's 21st and dressed as Dora the Explorer and forgot
I needed to nip into the warehouse to.

Speaker 2 (27:15):
Grab something and I went away and everyone was laughing
at me.

Speaker 4 (27:18):
The... I am so obsessed with the fact that a
grown woman was dressed as Dora the Explorer.

Speaker 2 (27:26):
Well, it was either that or a dominatrix.

Speaker 3 (27:28):
And my daughter was mortified at the thought that her
mother was going to turn up as a dominatrix.

Speaker 2 (27:34):
Oh, my God. To be fair, you wouldn't have got
your bag searched if you were a dominatrix, though. Dora
the Explorer, as she leaves, they have to check in
her backpack. And in fairness, you could have used the
same wig.

Speaker 1 (27:43):
Well, true.

Speaker 2 (27:45):
And boots. Thanks, Dee. We'll just check in with Sarah. Sarah,
so far, no sightings of you as an Oompa Loompa.
You may have got away with this.

Speaker 5 (27:54):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (27:55):
By the skin of your Oompa Loompa teeth. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay,
wait there, wait there. We're not quite done. Monique's here. Hi, Monique. Hi, Monique.

Speaker 1 (28:02):
Hi, guys.

Speaker 2 (28:03):
Did you have to commute in costume, Monique?

Speaker 5 (28:06):
I sure did.

Speaker 2 (28:07):
What were you dressed as, Monique?

Speaker 11 (28:09):
So my husband and I were full kitted out in
the Cool Runnings costume, skin tight.

Speaker 2 (28:15):
Wait a second. Wait a second.

Speaker 3 (28:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (28:18):
Monique.

Speaker 11 (28:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (28:20):
The Cool Runnings costume, please tell me that it was
just the jumpsuits.

Speaker 2 (28:30):
Yes, Brie, it was just the jumpsuits. Oh, she could
do the dreadlocks, couldn't she? No.

Speaker 11 (28:35):
Really?

Speaker 3 (28:35):
Oh, no, we had the yellow helmets.

Speaker 5 (28:37):
We had the yellow helmets as well.

Speaker 2 (28:37):
That's good. That's fine. She can't do the dreadlocks. Oh,
it's on the cusp, I think. Oh, man. Monique's like,
this is woke bullshit, eh, Monique? Monique, it's okay. I
know you had the dreadlocks on, okay? And I'm fine
with that. Monique, say nothing if you had the dreadlocks.

Speaker 11 (28:58):
Monique!

Speaker 2 (28:58):
Come on, man. Sarah, no sightings of you as an
Oompa Loompa. You've survived.

Speaker 9 (29:04):
Excellent.

Speaker 2 (29:06):
Thank you. Good luck and Godspeed. We asked if you
had to commute in costume. You forgot about that part.
Someone said, I went to a party dressed as Osama
bin Laden a couple of years after 9-11. I walked
there in suburban Brisbane, got a bit of abuse from
people driving past. Yeah, I'm not surprised. Yeah, I reckon

(29:27):
you'd still get abuse now, 25 years after.

Speaker 4 (29:30):
God, yeah, that's rough. Someone said, I worked as a
children's entertainer during uni. I did my fair share of
filling up the car in princess costumes, wig and all.

Speaker 2 (29:42):
Last one, someone said, I was dressed as an elf
for a Christmas party and I forgot I had to
go to the liquor store. Yeah, they're not going to
sell alcohol to an elf. Nah. Not without ID. You
definitely need some ID. And even then I'd be questioning
the ID. I'd be like, is this a super bad situation?
Did you make this in your workshop? Do you get

(30:02):
an ID printer for Christmas? Man, I don't trust you elves.
Where's Santa?

Speaker 1 (30:09):
It's ZM's Brie and Clint podcast.

Speaker 2 (30:13):
We're just having an impassioned conversation. A lovely conversation. They
can stay off air if you want to remain friends. Good,
there was a test.

Speaker 7 (30:22):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (30:22):
Please don't stop the music.

Speaker 2 (30:23):
What the hell?

Speaker 1 (30:26):
Brie and Clint's One Second Song Challenge.

Speaker 2 (30:29):
This is the One Second Song Challenge where you play
with us to guess songs as quickly as you can.
And if you're on the winning team, you get 50
KFC chicken dollars. Steve, you're on Team Brie. Hi, Steve.

Speaker 4 (30:40):
Afternoon.

Speaker 2 (30:41):
You two will be working together and I'll be working
with Naraiti. Kia ora. Kia ora. We are working together
to score you 50 KFC chicken dollars. Naraiti, you ready
for this?

Speaker 3 (30:52):
Yes, yep.

Speaker 7 (30:53):
All right.

Speaker 2 (30:54):
Claudia's in charge. Hey, y'all. Hi, Claude.

Speaker 8 (30:56):
Do you guys know what's happening on Sunday?

Speaker 2 (30:58):
The All Blacks game.

Speaker 8 (31:01):
Oh, yeah, yeah, that is happening.

Speaker 2 (31:02):
Anything else? Black Ferns game.

Speaker 11 (31:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (31:04):
Yep. Anything else?

Speaker 11 (31:06):
Church.

Speaker 2 (31:06):
Oh, see, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (31:08):
What day is it?

Speaker 7 (31:09):
What day is it?

Speaker 11 (31:11):
What day is it?

Speaker 2 (31:11):
Steve gets it.

Speaker 8 (31:12):
Father's Day's on Sunday.

Speaker 12 (31:13):
So it is Father's Day this Sunday, so I've themed
the songs loosely around that. This is my modern take
on dad rock. I feel like all of these songs
you can factor as dad rock.

Speaker 2 (31:23):
I thought you were going to say they're all daddies.

Speaker 12 (31:26):
I did literally Google daddy songs and I was like, nah,
this feels weird.

Speaker 4 (31:29):
No, just artists that are dads.

Speaker 2 (31:32):
It would have been quite broad, wouldn't it? Just Billy
Ray Cyrus. The only dad I can think of. He's
not the only dad. Name another dad. Joe Jackson.

Speaker 4 (31:44):
Joe Jackson was the dad of Michael Jackson.

Speaker 2 (31:47):
Great reference, Clint.

Speaker 11 (31:49):
Correct.

Speaker 2 (31:49):
Breeze.

Speaker 8 (31:50):
Okay, let's jump right into it, the way it works.

Speaker 12 (31:53):
You just need to buzz in with your name, and
I need the name of the artist and the name
of the song.

Speaker 8 (31:58):
You guys are working in teams. Joe Jackson. First team
to three points wins.

Speaker 2 (32:04):
Bill Cosby. I could have said Michael Jackson. All right.

Speaker 8 (32:07):
Bree and Clint, you guys are going first. Yes.

Speaker 2 (32:12):
Brie.

Speaker 3 (32:13):
Brie.

Speaker 2 (32:14):
That is Kings of Leon, Sex on Fire. That sure is.

Speaker 3 (32:19):
Clinton.

Speaker 2 (32:20):
Oh, what are you talking about, Clinton? I'm just trying
to shake her confidence a bit, Naraiti, you know? Yeah.
That's what it's all about. We will not waver, Steve.

Speaker 12 (32:34):
And that is how we play the game. So, Steve
and Naraiti, this song is for you.

Speaker 10 (32:37):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (32:37):
Naraiti.

Speaker 8 (32:41):
Yes, Naraiti.

Speaker 10 (32:44):
Mr.

Speaker 1 (32:45):
Brightside.

Speaker 2 (32:46):
Yeah. The Killers.

Speaker 4 (32:52):
I had the strangest conversation with my fiancé about this
song last night because we were talking about wedding songs.

Speaker 7 (32:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (33:00):
And she was like, you know, we'd asked the band
to play all the classics, you know, like that song
from The Killers.

Speaker 2 (33:05):
And I went, Mr. Brightside. And then she referenced a
different song.

Speaker 1 (33:10):
What?

Speaker 2 (33:10):
A different song by the Killers at a wedding. That's
what I said. Your wedding's going to be strange. There
is no other song. All right, one apiece? Yeah, one apiece,
all tied up.

Speaker 8 (33:22):
Sabrina and Clint, back to you.

Speaker 2 (33:23):
Dad rock.

Speaker 3 (33:25):
Clint.

Speaker 2 (33:26):
Clint, that was quick. All American Rejects gives you hell.
Exactly right. Damn, do all American rejects qualify as dad
rock now? I reckon. I guess, for sure.

Speaker 12 (33:40):
Okay, Naraiti, you could take home the win here.

Speaker 8 (33:46):
So, Steve, you really need this point, okay?

Speaker 2 (33:48):
Come on, Steve. Here we go. I think that was Naraiti.

Speaker 1 (33:57):
Nickelback.

Speaker 2 (33:58):
Photograph. Well done. Why are we playing this for Friday Gems? Steve,
good effort, but Noraiti, you picked up the 50 KFC
chicken dollars. Yay!

Speaker 1 (34:18):
Very good game.

Speaker 2 (34:21):
Noraiti, did you just say I love KFC? Get in.
Well done.

Speaker 1 (34:26):
It's ZM's Brinkland Podcast.

Speaker 2 (34:30):
Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome back to the studio, Matt,
Sian and Sam from Drax Projects.

Speaker 4 (34:36):
I've got about bloody time.

Speaker 2 (34:38):
Where have you guys been, eh? Where have you been?
We've been right here.

Speaker 7 (34:42):
We've been releasing songs that never made it to the show.

Speaker 2 (34:47):
Not true. Not true. Not true, can I say. Are
you sick of it? Are you sick of them now?
Sick of what? The songs?

Speaker 4 (34:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (34:54):
This is my tune of the summer. Oh, really? Yeah,
this is on my playlist. We've said it on our show.
This is the tune of the summer. The number of
times I've attempted the key change in this song.

Speaker 4 (35:02):
Yeah, my eardrums have been punished multiple times.

Speaker 2 (35:05):
Well, thanks for that.

Speaker 3 (35:07):
Pleasure.

Speaker 2 (35:07):
It's good to have you guys back in our ear holes.
And you're back with new music again.

Speaker 4 (35:11):
We are.

Speaker 2 (35:12):
Just in time for Father's Day. What day? Indeed. Father's Day.
When is that? What day? Father's Day is on Sunday.
Father's Day?

Speaker 11 (35:19):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (35:21):
Anyway, it's a timely song because it's a song about
becoming a father, boys. D-A-D-A. So, Sian, you're a father. Yeah,
so is Matt. And Matt, you're a father.

Speaker 3 (35:29):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (35:30):
You guys have been dads for a little while. Two years.
A couple of years. How's it been going? It's been awesome. Yeah,
it's so good we wrote a song about it. Matt
likes it so much that he went back for number two. Yeah,
how far apart are your girls, Matt? So I've got
a two and a bit and a three-month-old. That is
a lot of kid energy. Bree's got like a not
even two-month-old. Four-week-old, yeah. You're in the weeks. Are you

(35:52):
all right? Oh, mate, we're in the trenches.

Speaker 4 (35:54):
It is up and down in our household. I can't
remember what it feels like to be a normal person.

Speaker 2 (35:59):
Have you stopped setting alarms? Literally, isn't it crazy? I
was reminiscing on this. Do not set alarms anymore. I'm
setting alarms.

Speaker 10 (36:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (36:06):
I set alarms just for fun, you know. Sam's actually annoying.

Speaker 7 (36:08):
He sets alarms at like 2.30 and it'll be like,
remember to call the doctor back. And it'll be like,
I just set this three months ago. I haven't turned
it off.

Speaker 2 (36:15):
Turn it off now. Every day. What, it goes off
every day? Every day, like 2.30.

Speaker 7 (36:18):
I just have ADHD and so then I set these
alarms and then because of my ADHD, I forget to
turn them off.

Speaker 2 (36:24):
Yeah, yeah. Do you have ADHD? I don't know.

Speaker 4 (36:26):
It is a.
He hasn't got around to getting a diagnosis yet.

Speaker 2 (36:30):
There are signs, you know. I thought you were just
rubbing it into the dads in the band that you
were getting too much sleep. And so you're like, might
set some alarms, boys. Might just wake up at some
random times for fun. 11 a.m.

Speaker 3 (36:43):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (36:43):
It's a very beautiful song, this one. You guys heard it?

Speaker 3 (36:46):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (36:46):
It's so nice. We had a listen to it today.

Speaker 4 (36:48):
It's got me all in the feels, I feel like,
because obviously I'm in that zone.

Speaker 2 (36:52):
Yeah, beautiful song. I think I cried over a pigeon
at four weeks old. I cry over an ad. The
beauty of life is right there in your face. It's beautiful. Yeah,
it is. It really is. Yeah, not you though, eh, Sam?
He's like, what? Ice heart. Sorry, I'd zoned out. He's
thinking about partying on Saturday. Whenever he likes.

Speaker 4 (37:14):
I need to ask you guys before you leave because
I'm so excited. I don't know how excited you guys are,
but you're opening for the Robbie Williams. Yeah, Roberto Villasone.

Speaker 2 (37:23):
What the hell? Are you guys pumped for that? Yeah.
In two stadiums.

Speaker 4 (37:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (37:27):
You get to play in the new Christchurch Stadium. Takaha.
That's going to be amazing. Are you hoping you'll get
to hang out with Robbie? That would be cool, yeah.
Even just a little bit? I want to do a
blind beat with him. You know those blind beats?

Speaker 4 (37:37):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (37:38):
That'll be cool. That'll be nice. Have you guys watched
the monkey movie with Robbie Williams?

Speaker 11 (37:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (37:42):
No, not yet. It's very good. It sounds like it
would be awful. It's very, very good. We're going to
have to. You can't open for a Robbie Williams and
not watch the movie. Maybe we can watch it with him.
There's a good doco as well, apparently, to watch. The
doco is incredible.

Speaker 4 (37:55):
And one of the biggest things I took from that
doco is how much he loves being a dad and
how much it's changed his life.

Speaker 2 (38:02):
Yeah. Cool. Definitely give it a watch.

Speaker 7 (38:04):
Oh, well, that's cool as.

Speaker 2 (38:06):
Let's play the new song.

Speaker 3 (38:06):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (38:07):
Let's play the brand new track, shall we? Yeah, go on.
First play right here. That's just coming out today as well.
So this is a brand new Drax project. It's called D.A.D.A.
It's great to see you boys, as always. Thank you.
Enjoy the tune, guys. See you at Robbie Williams. Yes, yes.

Speaker 1 (38:26):
Play ZM's Bree and Clint.

Speaker 2 (38:27):
And we've got Bruno Mars tickets up for grabs with
Friday Okie. Ladies and gentlemen, Bree and Clint's Friday Okie.
How this is going to work is someone who votes
for Friday Oki this week is going to score two
free tickets to see Bruno Mars at Eden Park. There

(38:49):
are people voting already, and those votes do not count
because you can't vote until you've heard them. Yeah, and clearly.

Speaker 4 (38:56):
They're trying to get in early, but they can't.

Speaker 2 (38:59):
The song that we have covered this week for Friday
Oki is Bruno Mars' Uptown Funk. Uptown Funk won't give
it to you. Because Uptown Funk won't give it to you.
Saturday night and we in the... Don't believe me, just watch.
Huge song. But who's done it justice? That's your decision,
New Zealand. Yes, you guys get to decide.

Speaker 4 (39:20):
We are taking votes on the tech machine. Feedback is welcome.
And we will ask, after you've heard both, for you
to call through on 0800 dial Should.

Speaker 2 (39:30):
We rock off for who goes first? Uh, nah. I
don't want to rock off. I don't want to go first.
You don't want to go first. Okay, that's all right.
Because I know what's coming. All right, all right, I'll
go first. Here it comes. This is me. Stop laughing
at me. I don't know. I'm not laughing at you.
I'm laughing at the situation. Tell the truth. Tell the truth. What?

Speaker 4 (39:53):
What situation are you laughing at?

Speaker 2 (39:57):
Tell the truth.

Speaker 4 (40:00):
You think I'm going to bomb this week.

Speaker 2 (40:04):
No, I think you might struggle with the range. That's
a nice way of saying you're going to bomb this week.
I will go first, okay? Thank you. Then you can go.
What a gentleman. Here's my Bruno Mars. After this, you'll
hear Breeze and then you can vote. Good luck to us.

Speaker 13 (40:20):

Speaker 2 (41:13):
Bit of a stretch at the end there. Give us
a woo.

Speaker 10 (41:20):
Woo!

Speaker 2 (41:22):
I had to warm my way up to it.

Speaker 6 (41:24):
Good.

Speaker 2 (41:25):
It was good. Anyway, that was mine. It was good.
I think we leave it there. No. We're all ready
to listen to and enjoy your one. I reckon you're wrong.
And support you. I reckon you're wrong. I reckon I
was all over it this week. I reckon that you
were too. Don't put words in my mouth. You don't
even sound sincere. We all know from the first note, okay?

(41:46):
So let's listen to that together, okay? Here comes Breeze
Bruno Mars.

Speaker 3 (41:50):
Go.

Speaker 2 (41:51):
Hey, give it time. Give it time, yeah. She couldn't
bring it back. Slow burn.

Speaker 11 (41:57):
Here we go.

Speaker 2 (41:58):
This hit, that ice cold.

Speaker 6 (42:00):

Spot don't believe it just watch come on.

Speaker 2 (42:49):
Oh, that was really good. I brought it back. I
brought it back.

Speaker 4 (42:53):
God, two people have never sounded whiter doing a Bruno
Mars cover.

Speaker 2 (42:57):
No, yeah, there is that factor of it. God, it
was 100% better than our Dolly Parton, though. Exactly, and
that's all we could have hoped for.

Speaker 3 (43:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (43:04):
Because last week was a train wreck. Oh, my God.
It's taken me a week to emotionally recover from that.
And you know what? I think our Bruno efforts have
gone a long way to that. Not to pat ourselves
on the back too much. We know it's not perfect.
But it's way better than what happened last week. Okay,
five votes. That's what we're going to take on the phones.
I know $ 800 at the end. That will decide the

(43:26):
winner of Friday Okie.

Speaker 1 (43:28):
ZM's Brie and Clint podcast. Brie and Clint.

Speaker 2 (43:30):
Friday Okie! Welcome back. Might be one of the biggest
Friday Okies we have ever done, judging by the response
and the number of people who want to score these
Bruno Mars tickets. I've just realised that the.

Speaker 4 (43:47):
Friday Okie theme music is the song we're doing for
Friday Okie this week.

Speaker 7 (43:51):
Oh, my God.

Speaker 2 (43:51):
How did we not realise that?

Speaker 3 (43:53):
Fuzzy.

Speaker 2 (43:53):
I just realised it. Wow. Well, we did this song.
We did Uptown Funk for Friday Okie. Mine sounded like this.
Saturday night and we in the spot.

Speaker 13 (44:01):
Don't believe me, just watch.

Speaker 12 (44:03):
Come on.

Speaker 2 (44:04):
And Bree sounded like this. Hats off to Sam, our
audio engineer. God, he's done a good job. Oh, he's
a wizard. So, we have five people standing by to
pick the winner of Friday Okie this week. Who have
we got first? We'll start out with Ismaly. Is that

(44:25):
how we say your name, Ismaly? Emsley? Close, it's Emsley. Emsley. Emsley.
Happy Friday, Emsley.

Speaker 5 (44:33):
Thanks, happy Friday to you guys too.

Speaker 2 (44:35):
Did I lose your vote for butchering your name? No, no, no, no,
you get it.

Speaker 4 (44:39):
Okay, phew, phew, phew, phew.

Speaker 5 (44:40):
Lots of people butcher my name, it's okay.

Speaker 2 (44:41):
Okay, all right. What did you think about Bruno Mars, Emsley?

Speaker 4 (44:45):
I really liked your voice, and I thought you sounded
very close to the original.

Speaker 2 (44:51):
Ooh, okay. Obviously, you're talking about Clinton Cooper.

Speaker 1 (44:54):
Yeah, I'm talking about Clint.

Speaker 2 (44:56):
Yeah, I thought so. Is that who you're voting for, Emsley? Yeah,
I'm voting for Clint. Thank you. Stay there. You're in
the running for the Bruno Mars tickets. Let's go to Jenny. Hi, Jenny. Hi, Jenny.

Speaker 7 (45:06):
Hi, guys.

Speaker 2 (45:07):
How you doing? Good, thank you. You're a Bruno Mars fan.

Speaker 7 (45:10):
Yep, yep.

Speaker 4 (45:11):
And who were you a bigger fan of, my version
or Clint's version?

Speaker 5 (45:16):
Believe it or not, yours, Brie.

Speaker 2 (45:18):
Believe it or not. I'll take that backhanded compliment and
I'll run with it.

Speaker 4 (45:23):
I think you had the advantage because you sounded different
to Bruno Mars, whereas Clint.

Speaker 2 (45:28):
Sounded like he was kind of... Like a cheap Bruno
Mars impersonator. Like a Teemu version. Yeah, yeah, Bruno from Teemu. Yeah, yeah.
I love that, Jenny. I'll take that vote. One apiece.
Let's go to our third vote from Claudia. Hi, Claudia. Hi, Claude.

Speaker 7 (45:41):
Hi.

Speaker 2 (45:43):
What do we reckon, Claude? Who's your vote going to?
I love them both, but I'm going to have to
go with Clint this time. Fair enough. Thank you, Claudia.
We appreciate it. Wait there, you're in the running for
the Bruno Mars tickets. Caitlin's going to have a vote
this evening.

Speaker 11 (45:57):
Hi.

Speaker 2 (45:57):
Hi, Caitlin.

Speaker 8 (45:59):
Hi.

Speaker 2 (45:59):
Who did you like better? Actually, what did you think,
first of all, of our Bruno Mars attempts?

Speaker 5 (46:04):
I think they were both great, but I have to
go with Breeze.

Speaker 2 (46:08):
Are you sure?

Speaker 5 (46:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (46:12):
What made you go with mine, Caitlin?

Speaker 5 (46:16):
I just think it sounded really close to the original.

Speaker 3 (46:21):
Thank you. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (46:23):
No, you're entitled to your opinion, Caitlin. No, no, thanks, Caitlin.

Speaker 4 (46:25):
A couple of backhanded compliments within the votes for me,
but I, hey.

Speaker 2 (46:29):
Just take them. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth, Brie.
Beggars can't be choosers. We've made it to tie break.
It's one apiece. Megan, you have the power. Good evening. Hi, Megan.

Speaker 7 (46:38):
Hi, guys.

Speaker 2 (46:39):
You ever seen Bruno Mars live in concert before, Megan?

Speaker 7 (46:42):
Never.

Speaker 2 (46:43):
So you have no idea whether we're better or worse
singers than him. We could be on par, Megan. Yeah, yeah. Woo! Well, woo!
How are you going to vote for Megan? Come on,
put us out of our misery.

Speaker 11 (46:56):
I thought, Clint, you were amazing, and then I heard Brie,
and she just.

Speaker 8 (46:59):
Brought that girl energy and that enthusiasm, and.

Speaker 5 (47:04):
Brie was all over it.

Speaker 4 (47:05):
I vote for Brie.

Speaker 2 (47:06):
Brie no Mars. Oh, I love you, Megan. Appreciate your vote.

Speaker 13 (47:15):
Welcome.

Speaker 2 (47:15):
All good. Congratulations, Brie. It was a tight race. Thank
you to everybody who just texted in to score themselves
Bruno Mars tickets to see them at Eden Park. Next year,
three huge shows.

Speaker 4 (47:29):
Massive shows. We've got a double pass. If you did vote,
have your input for Friday Okie. And those tickets are
going to.

Speaker 2 (47:39):
You, Laura, congratulations. Thank you so much.

Speaker 5 (47:43):
That's amazing.

Speaker 2 (47:44):
You and a friend will be at Eden Park to
see Bruno Mars live in concert on the Romantic Tour.
Who are you going to take with you?

Speaker 5 (47:50):
Probably a good friend, Rach. She's having a real crappy month. So, yeah,
I'll try and take her.

Speaker 2 (47:57):
That'll be cool.

Speaker 4 (47:58):
Oh, well, things have taken a turn and everything's coming up, Rach,
now because you're going to be there to see Bruno Mars.

Speaker 2 (48:04):
It's going to be a fantastic show. Well done.

Speaker 5 (48:06):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (48:07):
Whose Friday Oaky did you prefer, by the way? Brie
took it out. Who were you going to vote for?

Speaker 4 (48:11):
Brie.

Speaker 3 (48:13):
I'm normally Tim Clint, but I have to say this time,
Brie did well.

Speaker 2 (48:17):
I turned you with my Bruno Mars, did I, Laura?

Speaker 9 (48:20):
You did.

Speaker 2 (48:21):
What a bloody thought. Did you like a bit of boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom?

Speaker 5 (48:28):
Something like that.

Speaker 2 (48:29):
Something like that. Thanks, Laura. Thanks, Laura.

Speaker 4 (48:35):
Let's do your birthday bangers for a Friday. Number one
songs when you turn 16.

Speaker 2 (48:39):
Myro's first.

Speaker 11 (48:40):
Hey, Myro.

Speaker 2 (48:40):
Hi, Myro.

Speaker 1 (48:41):
Hello, how's it going?

Speaker 2 (48:42):
Cool name, Myro. Cheers. Very cool name. Hey, what's your birthday?
30th of January, 2001. Right, that means you.

Speaker 4 (48:50):
Were 16 in the year 2017. And let me take
you back to your 16th birthday with this one.

Speaker 2 (48:56):
I'm in love with your body. Pitch here in shape
of you.

Speaker 11 (49:02):
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 2 (49:04):
It was big, wasn't it?

Speaker 7 (49:05):
Huge.

Speaker 3 (49:08):
I tried calling up once before for my birthday banger,
but I was against Katy Perry, Dark Horse, and I
couldn't go against that.

Speaker 2 (49:15):
Oh, right. Are you hoping to finally take it out? Oh,
this could be your day, Myro. I've also got my
four-year-old daughter. in the car. She would like to say
a few words. Is that all right? Of course. Myro,
what's her name? Can I please ring up onto the radio, too? Yes,
you can.

Speaker 6 (49:31):
Hey, what's your name?

Speaker 5 (49:37):
Adeline.

Speaker 11 (49:38):
Adeline.

Speaker 2 (49:39):
Adeline, you're on the radio. Anything you want to say?

Speaker 3 (49:42):
She's shaking her head.

Speaker 2 (49:45):
Yeah, that's sweet. Okay, very good. Thank you, guys. Wait there.
We're going to do a birthday banger for Roger. Hi, Roger. Hi, Roger.
We'll come back to Roger.

Speaker 4 (49:56):
I think Roger was maybe changing something in.

Speaker 2 (50:00):
The engine of his car. Roger's fiddling in the glove box.
We'll go to Millie. Hi, Millie. Hi, Millie. Hi. How's
your day been, Millie?

Speaker 5 (50:08):
Oh, not too bad.

Speaker 4 (50:09):
It's been at work.

Speaker 2 (50:10):
Yeah, fair enough. It's the weekend now, so how good?
I'm working, but, you know. What do you do, Millie?

Speaker 5 (50:17):
I'm a junior doctor at Starship at the moment.

Speaker 2 (50:20):
Oh, my God. Woo-hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo. Okay. We've got a smarty pants
on our hands. Hey, Millie. Oh, look at me. I'm
a junior doctor.

Speaker 12 (50:28):
Woo!

Speaker 2 (50:28):
I save lives. Hey, Millie, very impressive. What is your birthday?

Speaker 5 (50:36):
23rd of July, 1999.

Speaker 7 (50:37):
Nice.

Speaker 4 (50:38):
That means you were 16 in 2015, and we've done
our calculations.

Speaker 2 (50:43):
Here's your birthday bangers.

Speaker 4 (50:47):
It's a rogue song from Meghan Trainor and John Legend.

Speaker 2 (50:53):
Like I'm Gonna Lose You. Not one you want to
hear from a doctor. What do you reckon, Millie?

Speaker 5 (51:00):
Oh, it's not bad.

Speaker 2 (51:01):
It's not bad.

Speaker 4 (51:01):
I really want my birthday banger.

Speaker 3 (51:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (51:03):
Good to know. That's pretty random, your one. And I've
never heard that one in birthday banger before.

Speaker 4 (51:07):
I had forgotten that Meghan Trainor and John Legend did
a song together.

Speaker 9 (51:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 11 (51:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (51:11):
I think people were trying to figure it out. Hey,
we've had worse and we've definitely had better. We'll go
back to Rog's glove box. Are you there, Rog?

Speaker 10 (51:17):
Hello, Rog.

Speaker 3 (51:18):
I am, yeah.

Speaker 2 (51:19):
Oh, we've got him. Hey, how's your day been, Rog?

Speaker 7 (51:22):
So far, so good.

Speaker 2 (51:23):
What are you doing at Waiaka Gorge at the moment?

Speaker 5 (51:25):
Oh, lovely.

Speaker 2 (51:26):
Oh, we better get you before we lose you then.
What's your date of birth, Rog?

Speaker 13 (51:30):
24th November, 1959.

Speaker 2 (51:30):
All right, Rog. That means you were 16 in 1975.

Speaker 4 (51:34):
Let's just ask Roger, anything in particular you're hoping for?

Speaker 11 (51:39):
Maybe Dave Bowie or Pink Floyd.

Speaker 2 (51:42):
Okay. Okay, well, let's see what you got.

Speaker 4 (51:47):
I'll do you one better and go Bohemian Rhapsody from Queen.

Speaker 2 (51:53):
One of the greatest songs of all time. Wayne, one
of the longest, yeah. Are you into it? It's a ripper, Rog.

Speaker 3 (52:02):
Yeah, mate.

Speaker 2 (52:03):
Yeah. So am I, and I'm voting for it. You
think I'm not voting for that on a Friday? Come on. Rog,
you've just won birthday banger. Congratulations.

Speaker 3 (52:13):
Well done.

Speaker 11 (52:13):
Thanks, mate.

Speaker 2 (52:13):
No worries. You're welcome, Roger. Wait a second, Roger. First time. Go, Roger. Go, Roger.
First time. Man, this is a good day. From the
year 1975, it's our good friend Roger's birthday banger from
Queen on ZM with Brian Clint. Cheers, guys.

Speaker 1 (52:38):
ZM's Brian Clint.

Speaker 2 (52:51):
Queen and Bohemian Rhapsody is the winner of Birthday Banger
today on ZM for Roger. Long-time listener, first-time caller, number
one on the 24th of November, 1975. And an interesting
coincidence that we've just realised, tomorrow would have been Freddie
Mercury's 80th birthday.

Speaker 4 (53:11):
Would it actually be? He was born on the 5th
of September, 1946. So what star sign would that make him?

Speaker 2 (53:17):
Zanzibar. Oh, no, that's where he's from. If you get
this right. September. Oh, he's a Virgo. He's a Virgo.
Did I get that right?

Speaker 4 (53:31):
Whoa.

Speaker 2 (53:32):
Whoa. Now, there's a coincidence because I know nothing about
star sign. That's crazy. Big day tomorrow, isn't it? Big day?

Speaker 5 (53:40):
Father's Day is on Sunday.

Speaker 2 (53:42):
Oh, Sunday. I was going to say not tomorrow. Wait,
so Freddie Mercury's day. Freddie Mercury day and then Father's Day.

Speaker 3 (53:48):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (53:48):
Yeah, right. Warriors winning day. Yeah. Then Father's Day. I
got something. Where's my Warriors thing? So we go Freddie Mercury.

Speaker 4 (53:58):
Oh, do you have anything?

Speaker 2 (53:59):
Yeah, I got Freddie Mercury. So say it again. So
Freddie Mercury's 80th birthday tomorrow.

Speaker 4 (54:06):
Then Warriors will take out their game tomorrow night.

Speaker 2 (54:12):
And then on Sunday.

Speaker 5 (54:13):
Father's Day is on Sunday.

Speaker 2 (54:15):
That's good radio, man. That's good radio. Father's Day is
on Sunday, isn't it? Father's Day is on Sunday, yeah.
Sunday's going to be great for dads, by the way.
It's going to be awesome. Dads get everything they want.
Black Ferns, Father's Day. How good? What a day.

Speaker 4 (54:32):
We love to test people around the country in the
lead up to Father's Day with a bit of reverse trivia.

Speaker 5 (54:39):
What day is Father's Day?

Speaker 4 (54:40):
Sunday.

Speaker 3 (54:40):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (54:41):
So the answer is Sunday. What would the question be?
Father's Day.

Speaker 3 (54:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (54:45):
See, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (54:47):
Our little nod to one of the most iconic pieces
of New Zealand radio ever.

Speaker 2 (54:51):
It's an ode to a bit that must be, oh,
how old would that be now? Like 10, 15 years?
I reckon at least. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (54:57):
We've been playing all week. We've had some hits. We've
had some misses. Today, we're going to Dunedin, and we're
calling a Ray White down in Dunedin.

Speaker 2 (55:08):
Oh, okay, a real estate. A real estate place. Surely,
they will know the question and the answer. Yeah, surely. Hello,
and welcome to Ray White Dunedin. Yeah, yeah, they'll be keen. Yeah,
that's all you want. Good afternoon, robot. Judy speaking.

Speaker 4 (55:28):
Hi, Judy, and welcome to the Random Radio Game. Are
you ready to play? Judy, if the answer's Sunday, what
might the question be?

Speaker 7 (55:41):
I'm not sure.

Speaker 2 (55:43):
Have a think about it, Judy. This weekend, what's happening
on Sunday? The answer... If the answer is Sunday, what
might the question be? You've got it, Judy. I believe
in you.

Speaker 11 (55:58):
Oh, I don't know if I have.

Speaker 2 (56:02):
Judy, is there anything important happening this Sunday that you're
aware of? I don't want to know.

Speaker 3 (56:09):
Is there a rugby game or something?

Speaker 2 (56:11):
There definitely is. But anything special for the dads of
the nation this Sunday? Oh, yes.

Speaker 7 (56:16):
Of course, it's Father's Day.

Speaker 2 (56:17):
So the question, the answer. So if the answer's Sunday,
what might the question be?

Speaker 11 (56:25):
What? Could be something like, whose special.

Speaker 5 (56:27):
Day is it this Sunday?

Speaker 2 (56:28):
So close. So close.

Speaker 4 (56:30):
If the answer's Sunday, what might the question be?

Speaker 8 (56:38):
What day is Father's.

Speaker 11 (56:42):
Day?

Speaker 2 (56:43):
She's done it! Yes, Judy! You bloody legend, Judy! You've
won a prize!

Speaker 11 (56:50):
Oh my gosh, have I?

Speaker 2 (56:51):
You sure have. You're on ZM, the radio station at
the moment, Judy, and you just nailed it. You know,
we knew you would get there. You crusted, Judy. You
needed a second to get there and you've done it.
Took a while. You know what you showed, Judy? You
showed resilience. Oh, well, yeah. I haven't got my dad anymore, so. Yeah.
You get the day off. You get the day off.

Speaker 11 (57:11):
Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (57:12):
You did very well, Judy. And we've got a prize
for you. We were serious about that.

Speaker 10 (57:18):
Oh, okay.

Speaker 2 (57:19):
Any big listings you want to advertise?

Speaker 8 (57:21):
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 2 (57:22):
What's the whole property in Dunedin at the moment that
Ray White's got?

Speaker 3 (57:26):
Oh, well, we've got quite a few, really.

Speaker 2 (57:27):
You're not selling Larnac Castle, are you? No, we're not.

Speaker 4 (57:32):
I've heard it's full of asbestos.

Speaker 2 (57:34):
Could you put me on the watch list for Larnac
Castle if it comes up for sale?

Speaker 11 (57:38):
I could.

Speaker 2 (57:40):
Yeah, thanks. I don't like the chances, but you never know.
You never know. All right, Judy, you have a great weekend.
Thank you. You were delightful, Judy. Hold the line. We'll
get you a prize.

Speaker 11 (57:49):
Oh, sure. Thank you.

Speaker 2 (57:50):
She's a doll. What an absolute G. Happy Father's Day, everybody.

Speaker 10 (57:55):
Judy.

Speaker 2 (57:56):
Yeah, happy Father's Day, everyone. What an absolute J.

Speaker 6 (57:58):
That game will be back next year.

Speaker 4 (58:02):
When the answer's Sunday, what might the question be?

Speaker 1 (58:05):
The ZM Podcast Network.

Speaker 2 (58:07):
Quick show of hands, who's single in the team?

Speaker 5 (58:10):
Hey.

Speaker 2 (58:11):
Just.

Speaker 8 (58:16):
I'm not sure why, though.

Speaker 2 (58:17):
Did you regret that? No, not at all. I stand
by what I did. Ready one more time, ready? Hands
up in the show. Hey, are any of us single
at the moment?

Speaker 11 (58:29):
I am. Oh, boom.

Speaker 4 (58:31):
Hey.

Speaker 6 (58:32):
Hey.

Speaker 2 (58:33):
I wasn't.

Speaker 11 (58:35):
That creepy.

Speaker 2 (58:37):
Hey, everybody.

Speaker 11 (58:38):
Hey, guys.

Speaker 10 (58:39):
I'm single.

Speaker 2 (58:40):
I think we know why you're single now. I'm over here. Well,
good news for Claudia and anyone else listening to this
show that is single. I have found the major perk
of being single. I haven't found it myself. I read
about it in an article. No, no. It's on the
Herald today. Before I tell you guys what this article

(59:01):
says is the major perk of being single, what do
you think it is?

Speaker 4 (59:05):
I think the major perk of being single, if I
can cast myself, memory back, would be not having to
worry about anyone else, like when you're making plans or
like deciding what.

Speaker 2 (59:18):
You want to do. That's a perk. Ella, what do
you think the biggest perk of being single is? Going
to sleep. What? You don't get to go to sleep?
Whenever you want. You don't get to go to sleep
in your marriage? Nah.

Speaker 11 (59:29):
God.

Speaker 2 (59:30):
Oh, she's doing rude eyebrows. You asked. God, tell them
to speed things up. What do you think your favourite
thing is about being single, Clint?

Speaker 3 (59:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (59:43):
Mine? I'm not single. Oh, what do I think the
biggest perk is?

Speaker 4 (59:47):
You have been single in your life though, yes? I
really enjoyed.

Speaker 1 (59:50):
Flirting with the ladies.

Speaker 2 (59:52):
This is how we used to flirt, ready?

Speaker 10 (59:54):
Hey.

Speaker 1 (59:54):
Hey. And look, it's wood.

Speaker 2 (01:00:00):
His wife is beautiful. She's dead. All right, screw you guys.
I've done the research, okay? The major perk of being single,
and this is good, okay? This is good news. The
major perk of being single, having the freedom and opportunity
to grow, discover new things, and develop yourself. Wow, wow.

Speaker 8 (01:00:26):
Is that what I'm supposed to be doing?

Speaker 2 (01:00:27):
Yes, you are.

Speaker 3 (01:00:28):
Oh, no.

Speaker 2 (01:00:28):
They said, especially if you embrace being single rather than
seeing it, it's something that needs to be fixed. Okay?
It's all about mindset. It's all about going, hey, what
a great opportunity I've got to invest in me. And
you get to hook up with whoever you want. You joke,

(01:00:49):
you joke, but some people see that as their opportunity
to grow and discover new things and develop themselves. I
bet they do.

Speaker 8 (01:00:56):
New things or new people?

Speaker 2 (01:00:57):
New things, new people, new positions. I got people to
do and places to see. The key though, the key,
like I said, is the same as everything. The key
is mindset. Okay.

Speaker 4 (01:01:07):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (01:01:07):
Being single. Simply just single doesn't automatically benefit you. You
don't automatically grow as a person just because you are single.
It's like I said, you have to see and view
singledom as an opportunity. Do you see that, Claude?

Speaker 8 (01:01:24):
Yeah, I think so.

Speaker 2 (01:01:25):
It's an opportunity. Even you didn't believe it when you
said it. Yeah, it's an opportunity. So, okay, you're our
only single person. You're our only window into this world.

Speaker 11 (01:01:35):
What.

Speaker 2 (01:01:37):
What journeys of self-exploration are you going on this weekend?
What are you doing to, you know, better yourself, grow?

Speaker 8 (01:01:44):
I'm going to a party dressed as Pitbull.

Speaker 4 (01:01:46):
Nice.

Speaker 2 (01:01:47):
That's fun. I'm going to a party dressed as Pitbull. Wait,
are we going to the same party? Are you guys
going to hook up? Oh, my God.

Speaker 11 (01:01:54):
Mr.

Speaker 2 (01:01:54):
Wawa. No, but seriously, what is something you've done recently
that you think maybe in your previous relationship you wouldn't
have done?

Speaker 8 (01:02:03):
I went on a holiday by myself.

Speaker 3 (01:02:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:02:05):
That was great.

Speaker 2 (01:02:06):
Yeah. You hooked up with those people?

Speaker 8 (01:02:08):
Yeah, I hooked up with all those people. I couldn't
do that in my relationship.

Speaker 2 (01:02:11):
No, no. That was fun.

Speaker 8 (01:02:14):
I've just moved house, so my whole life has just changed.

Speaker 2 (01:02:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (01:02:19):
Found new friends.

Speaker 2 (01:02:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (01:02:22):
Sometimes I go outside.

Speaker 2 (01:02:24):
Okay, we're putting too much pressure on it. Anyway, that's it.
Is that patronising to single people?

Speaker 11 (01:02:31):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (01:02:31):
It was, wasn't it?

Speaker 8 (01:02:32):
I mean, no.

Speaker 3 (01:02:33):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (01:02:34):
Claudia can answer. Hey, it's your married friend Clint here.
Here to give you advice. Yeah, chin up. Your life
isn't as shit as everyone says it is. I didn't
mean it like that, but now that I've heard it.

Speaker 1 (01:02:45):
It's all right.

Speaker 8 (01:02:46):
I feel good about myself.

Speaker 2 (01:02:47):
Whoa, is this the first time Clint's reflected?

Speaker 3 (01:02:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:02:50):
I don't like it.

Speaker 1 (01:02:52):
It's ZM's Brie and Clint podcast.

Speaker 2 (01:02:54):
And that's the end of the Brie and Clint show.
We are out of here. I'm off on a, you know,
I'm off for some me time. I'm off on a
solo date to watch The Odyssey in IMAX. And much
like Matt Damon in The Odyssey, me getting to see
The Odyssey has been my own personal odyssey. I've had
these tickets booked for about seven weeks. I was meant
to go two weeks ago. Wasn't feeling well. Had to

(01:03:16):
push it out another two weeks. And now tonight, Bree,
I finally get to watch The Odyssey. At 8.30 in
IMAX by myself. I will get home tonight about 1
o'clock in the morning after watching The Odyssey. It's the
saddest story I've heard all week. Yeah. And I can.

Speaker 4 (01:03:36):
Just picture producer's show of hands who thinks he's going
to fall asleep in the movie.

Speaker 2 (01:03:41):
Oh, absolutely. You are falling asleep.

Speaker 10 (01:03:44):
No, I won't.

Speaker 2 (01:03:44):
Do you know why? Because I'm also taking myself up
for dinner because I've got an hour and a half
to kill.

Speaker 1 (01:03:48):
So you're going to be full and sleepy.

Speaker 2 (01:03:49):
No, I'm going to have an espresso martini. Oh, damn.
I don't think anything's keeping you awake. I will give
$ 100 to the person if you are in that theatre
and you see Clint Roberts, if you get a photo
of him sleeping, $ 100.

Speaker 8 (01:04:03):
Honestly, you'll be conked out.

Speaker 2 (01:04:07):
You'll be drunk, full and tired. Very expensive sleep because
I bought two tickets.

Speaker 7 (01:04:12):
What?

Speaker 2 (01:04:13):
You couldn't find anyone else to go with you?

Speaker 1 (01:04:15):
The story just got sadder.

Speaker 2 (01:04:20):
Oh, we should have laughed. Producers, one of you guys
will go with it. I assume that means none of
you guys are keen. We're all busy.

Speaker 8 (01:04:28):
Yeah, I've got plans.

Speaker 2 (01:04:30):
I've got plans doing nothing. Don't try and shovel it
off to Claudia, okay? Yeah, come on. Have a great weekend, everybody.
See you next week.

Speaker 1 (01:04:40):
Play ZM's Bree and Clint on Insta, Facebook, TikTok

Speaker 2 (01:04:44):
