Speaker 1 (00:00):
Show requested, so here it is. As long as you've
got da-da-dada.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
It's ZM's Brie and Clint podcast.

Speaker 3 (00:06):
ZM's Brie and Clint, thanks to KFC.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Let's do it!

Speaker 4 (00:12):
Whoa!

Speaker 2 (00:12):
Think you're running out? ZM's Brie and Clint.

Speaker 3 (00:15):
I know I won't get out.

Speaker 5 (00:17):
Talk it.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
Don't go, don't hurt, don't hurt you.

Speaker 6 (00:19):
Afternoon, everybody, and welcome to the Brie and Clint show
on Otago Tuesday.

Speaker 3 (00:25):
What's your favourite type of taco?

Speaker 5 (00:26):
Fish.

Speaker 3 (00:26):
Fish. You did not even think about it.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
Love a crispy fish taco.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
They are delish. Yep. Is that what you're having tonight?
I wish. You never know, you could get lucky.

Speaker 6 (00:45):
Ironically, tacos, not really a Tuesday night food at home,
are they? Like if you were out, taco Tuesday.

Speaker 3 (00:51):
Really?

Speaker 6 (00:51):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
We have them quite often in our house.

Speaker 2 (00:58):
True.

Speaker 3 (00:59):
Twice as much as me, I've heard. We are quite
into Mexican food, though. Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:07):
We have a fun show on the way for you.
It's Ella's fourth to last show.

Speaker 3 (01:12):
No!

Speaker 6 (01:13):
She's in the emotional rollercoaster. Yesterday she was like, whoa,
five days to go. Now she's like, four days, don't
talk to me.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
She's on the down now.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
Oh, I feel like I'm on my period.

Speaker 3 (01:21):
Hey, our goal this afternoon is to bring you.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
All the way back up Into excitement.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
So we can either.

Speaker 7 (01:30):
Have heaps of fun with her and distract her, or
we can be real mean to her so then she's like,
screw this place.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
I do want to leave.

Speaker 3 (01:37):
I hate it here.

Speaker 6 (01:38):
You know when people are in a relationship and they
aren't brave enough to break up with the person, so
they just turn into an a-hole and hope that the
other person will break up with them?

Speaker 3 (01:46):
Is that?

Speaker 1 (01:47):
It's kind of like that, isn't it?

Speaker 3 (01:49):
Yeah. Turn that microphone off.

Speaker 8 (01:51):
Why?

Speaker 1 (01:52):
Let's put it on half.

Speaker 9 (01:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:55):
Why are you doing that? I wasn't even saying anything.
Tradie versus lady next.

Speaker 6 (02:00):
If you want to win.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
$ 100 thanks to Job Space, that's what's up for grabs.

Speaker 6 (02:04):
You've just got to be the smartest tradie and or
lady on the show this afternoon.

Speaker 3 (02:08):
The number you've got to.

Speaker 7 (02:08):
Call is 0800-DIAL-ZM.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
Anything you want to add, Ella?

Speaker 2 (02:13):
Clint sucks. Clint sucks.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
Funny we could hear her.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
It's like a distant memory now.

Speaker 6 (02:20):
She's quite literally fading away.

Speaker 3 (02:22):
Her voice blowing in the wind.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
Play ZM's Bree and Clint. This is the main event.
Treaty versus ladies. Thanks to Jobspace.

Speaker 6 (02:34):
Another great week to play tradie versus lady because the
prize is doubled. Jobspace have ratcheted it up to $ 100
cash if you win today. They're proudly 100% New Zealand owned.
They're connecting Kiwis with opportunities since 2006 at Jobspace.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
If you need a job, that is the place to go. Look,
score update for the year.

Speaker 7 (02:53):
The tradie's on 75. The lady's picking up a win yesterday.
They're on 71.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
Our lady's in Taupo.

Speaker 6 (02:59):
She's 21, and she grew up on a rural sheep
and beef farm with her three sisters. Oh, my God,
McLeod's daughter's much? Welcome to the show, Anna.

Speaker 10 (03:08):
Hi, Anna.

Speaker 4 (03:10):
Hi.

Speaker 3 (03:11):
Was your upbringing similar to McLeod's daughter's? Um, we can
say that. Can you ride a horse, Anna?

Speaker 10 (03:19):
No, I didn't actually have.

Speaker 3 (03:20):
Horses on my farm.

Speaker 6 (03:21):
Can you ride a sheep?

Speaker 5 (03:22):
No.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
I've definitely attempted it a couple of times.

Speaker 5 (03:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (03:26):
Yeah. We all have.

Speaker 6 (03:28):
Haven't we?

Speaker 3 (03:30):
I haven't.

Speaker 6 (03:31):
No?

Speaker 5 (03:32):
No.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
Just me and Anna then.

Speaker 6 (03:33):
Yeah, yeah. You're taking our tradie from Oamaru. He's 23
and he can eat a Zinger burger in just one bite.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
Get off the grass. Welcome to the show, Harry.

Speaker 3 (03:42):
Hi, Harry.

Speaker 5 (03:44):
G'day, guys. How are you?

Speaker 3 (03:45):
When did you figure out you could do that?

Speaker 5 (03:48):
A couple of years ago.

Speaker 3 (03:50):
We need to bring him in the studio.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
That's unbelievable.

Speaker 3 (03:52):
I need to see it for myself.

Speaker 6 (03:54):
So you can get the whole Zinger burger into your gob?

Speaker 5 (03:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
Can you get it down? Oh, it isn't pretty, but
it goes down.

Speaker 4 (04:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (04:03):
There'd be a bit of chewing involved before you swallow, though, right?
You say one bite, but you actually mean one mouthful.

Speaker 3 (04:10):
Oh, it's more like one mouthful.

Speaker 9 (04:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (04:12):
He can get it around. His mouth can get around it.
It's no less impressive.

Speaker 6 (04:16):
I'm picturing a snake dislocating its jaw to get a
whole mole rat inside there, you know?

Speaker 3 (04:20):
Don't you be a... You'd be a dream for the dentist.
Easy to get to the back molars. All right, Harry.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
Your buzz is tradie.

Speaker 6 (04:31):
Anna, lady, first of three correct answers, $ 100 cash from Jobspace.

Speaker 3 (04:35):
Good luck, guys. Here we go.

Speaker 7 (04:36):
Question number one. What colour is the label on a
jar of Vegemite?

Speaker 3 (04:41):
Tradie. Yes, Harry. Yellow.

Speaker 6 (04:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (04:46):
It is yellow. Well done. One to the tradies. Question
number two.

Speaker 7 (04:51):
Name the children's TV show that is centred around Great
Dane and four teenagers who solve mysteries.

Speaker 3 (04:59):
Oh, tradies. Yes, Harry.

Speaker 5 (05:00):
Scooby-Doo.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
Scooby-Doo.

Speaker 11 (05:02):
Scooby.

Speaker 3 (05:04):
That's right, two to the tradies. I want a single
burger with a scooby snack. Anna, you still with us?
You need this one to stay in it. Here we go.

Speaker 7 (05:13):
This is all you. Question number three. Buzz in when
you can tell me who sings this.

Speaker 5 (05:19):
Ready.

Speaker 3 (05:21):
Harry, for the win.

Speaker 5 (05:22):
660.

Speaker 3 (05:23):
He's got it. Down, Trout.

Speaker 6 (05:30):
Tough day on the tools, sheep and beef farmer, Anna.

Speaker 3 (05:33):
Yeah, that wasn't too good for my end.

Speaker 6 (05:35):
Yeah, nah.

Speaker 3 (05:35):
That's all right, mate. You can always call back and
try again.

Speaker 6 (05:38):
Harry, treat yourself, mate. A hundred bucks cash thanks to
Jobspace coming your way. That's a lot of Zingerburgers.

Speaker 5 (05:45):
Yeah, I'm pretty chuffed about.

Speaker 6 (05:47):
That, to be honest.

Speaker 1 (05:48):
Yeah, you would be. It's a big accolade.

Speaker 3 (05:50):
Yeah, it's a lot of Zinger burgers or one meal
for Harry.

Speaker 6 (05:56):
Tradies go to 76, ladies stay on 71.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
ZDM's Bree and Clint podcast.

Speaker 3 (06:01):
It's a devastating story of bad luck for a Wallabies player,
and I'm not talking about the Bledisloe. I'm talking about
a guy named Carter Gordon who was playing in a
game over the weekend and he got injured badly, broke
his leg. And obviously he's out, I think, for about

(06:22):
10 weeks, it says. If you broke your leg, I
feel like you're out for a while.

Speaker 7 (06:27):
Well, I think it's one of the smaller bones in
his lower legs. But I think 10 weeks is a
fair amount of time.

Speaker 12 (06:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (06:34):
And he's due to get married this week. Oh, no.
And he's got a broken leg now. Oh, no. Oh,
bad timing. Awful timing. And it happened in the 70th
minute of the game too.

Speaker 6 (06:49):
His fiancée will be pissed.

Speaker 3 (06:53):
She would be. For you, man.

Speaker 6 (06:56):
I mean, test match rugby is about as hard as
it gets. So there was every risk he was going
to have some sort of injury at the wedding. He
could have even had a black eye, which would have
been catastrophic. You'd probably rather him break his leg, eh?

Speaker 4 (07:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (07:08):
Because in photos, they can prop him up.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
No, just crop him.

Speaker 3 (07:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (07:13):
Yeah, he can stand, get in the moon boot, and
then just do the photos waist up.

Speaker 1 (07:19):
Devastating.

Speaker 6 (07:20):
That's so unfortunate.

Speaker 3 (07:21):
But he's not going to be able to walk down
the aisle.

Speaker 6 (07:24):
No, well, no.

Speaker 1 (07:25):
He'll crutch down the aisle. Yeah, but the blokes usually
just wait at the front.

Speaker 7 (07:30):
Yeah, I know, but they have to walk down there.
And then they have to walk back through the aisle
once you kiss your bride.

Speaker 3 (07:36):
Oh, you have to walk back.

Speaker 6 (07:37):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (07:38):
You know, and they get all those cute photos. She
can carry him.

Speaker 6 (07:42):
You know how the man usually carries the wife across
the threshold?

Speaker 1 (07:46):
She'll have to carry him.

Speaker 3 (07:48):
Well, she's going to have to step up. About time
she did something, you know?

Speaker 6 (07:51):
Carry him to the reception.

Speaker 3 (07:52):
Piggyback him, maybe.

Speaker 6 (07:54):
That sucks for him. He is the Wallabies' first five.
You know he'll be sniffing around, Quade Cooper.

Speaker 1 (08:01):
He's 38. He'll be going, bring me back.

Speaker 3 (08:03):
Is he still playing? He is still playing. Is he? Yeah.
Far out. 38. That's an achievement. That's unbelievable.

Speaker 1 (08:13):
You guys need me.

Speaker 3 (08:15):
That's outrageous. He did a stint in the NRL. Quade
Cooper did. Didn't he?

Speaker 6 (08:19):
No.

Speaker 11 (08:20):
No?

Speaker 3 (08:20):
I'm getting him confused with someone else.

Speaker 6 (08:22):
I don't think he did.

Speaker 1 (08:25):
Yeah, look, this is the risk.

Speaker 6 (08:27):
I have recently started playing rugby again for an older
men's team.

Speaker 8 (08:32):
I have.

Speaker 6 (08:34):
Not been on board. We have one more game for
this season. I have been quite worried about you. We
have one more game coming up.

Speaker 3 (08:41):
Because, I mean, you got a concussion walking into a pole.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
Yeah, well, there's no poles on the field, is there? So,
suck on that.

Speaker 3 (08:47):
No, there's brick walls.

Speaker 1 (08:48):
No, there's not brick walls. Oh, you mean other players.

Speaker 5 (08:51):
Yep. Right.

Speaker 6 (08:52):
Anyway, by the by, there's a guy on our team.
There's one more game this season. It's on a Friday night.
There's a guy on our team who is getting married
the following weekend.

Speaker 3 (09:01):
Right.

Speaker 1 (09:02):
He's not going to play.

Speaker 3 (09:03):
Yeah, because he's smart.

Speaker 1 (09:04):
He's an adult.

Speaker 6 (09:05):
He goes, nah, I'd rather.

Speaker 7 (09:06):
And it's not something where he knows it's a professional.

Speaker 6 (09:11):
Sport that he's playing.

Speaker 1 (09:12):
He's not playing for the Rugby World Cup.

Speaker 7 (09:14):
Obviously Carter Gordon, who plays for the Wallabies, a little
bit different.

Speaker 1 (09:18):
Yeah, it's his job.

Speaker 3 (09:18):
Whereas this guy just randomly getting together with some lads
on the weekend, it's not worth ruining his wedding for.

Speaker 6 (09:24):
Are you saying playing for the Teachers Eastern Hustlers is
not the same as playing for the Wallabies?

Speaker 3 (09:29):
I mean, look. Depends what year we're talking for the wallabies.

Speaker 6 (09:35):
We want to know this afternoon if you injured yourself
right before the big event, before your wedding.

Speaker 3 (09:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (09:42):
That's the biggest event that I can think of. But
if you injured, like if you put yourself in a
moon boot the week before R & V or before
you went on your OE.

Speaker 3 (09:50):
What about if you were meant to go to the Olympics?

Speaker 1 (09:54):
Oh, devastating.

Speaker 5 (09:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:56):
But that happens, doesn't it?

Speaker 3 (09:56):
That does happen.

Speaker 6 (09:57):
That happens.

Speaker 9 (09:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (09:58):
0800 dial ZM. I don't know how many potential Olympians
we have listening.

Speaker 5 (10:03):
To this show.

Speaker 3 (10:03):
I reckon we'd have a couple. Do you reckon? Should
we do the phone-in tomorrow? Have you been to the Olympics?

Speaker 5 (10:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (10:09):
That, I would love to talk to people who've been
to the Olympics.

Speaker 6 (10:12):
Me too, actually.

Speaker 3 (10:13):
And not just been as a spectator.

Speaker 5 (10:14):
No.

Speaker 3 (10:15):
You can't catch us on this one. You had to
have competed.

Speaker 5 (10:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 11 (10:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (10:19):
Olympics, yeah. We know an Olympian, Ruby Tuohy.

Speaker 7 (10:22):
Yes, Ruby Tuohy. Lisa Carrington might have us on every afternoon.

Speaker 3 (10:27):
Who knows? You never know.

Speaker 1 (10:29):
Anyway, that's tomorrow, okay?

Speaker 3 (10:30):
Yeah, we're doing that tomorrow.

Speaker 6 (10:32):
Training season's over for Carter Gordon, isn't it?

Speaker 7 (10:36):
Yes, Carter Gordon, a Wallabies player, is in the news
today after he broke his leg in a rugby match
the same week as his wedding.

Speaker 3 (10:46):
Not ideal.

Speaker 13 (10:47):
Not ideal.

Speaker 12 (10:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (10:49):
His fiancée will be pissed. Really pissed.

Speaker 3 (10:53):
So not happy.

Speaker 1 (10:54):
Really pissed. Even though it's not his fault, still pissed.

Speaker 3 (10:57):
Yeah. I mean, worst case scenario.

Speaker 1 (11:00):
Totally.

Speaker 6 (11:01):
So we want to know, did you get injured right
before the big event? Michelle is here.

Speaker 3 (11:05):
Hi, Michelle. Hi, Michelle.

Speaker 2 (11:07):
Hi, long-time listener.

Speaker 5 (11:08):
Third time caller.

Speaker 3 (11:09):
Third time caller.

Speaker 9 (11:09):
We'll take it.

Speaker 3 (11:10):
You can have it. First time caller.

Speaker 6 (11:10):
Go, Michelle.

Speaker 3 (11:11):
Well done. Hang on, hang on.

Speaker 1 (11:19):
Cheeky.

Speaker 6 (11:19):
Michelle, did you get injured before the big event?

Speaker 14 (11:22):
Yeah, so we went to Fiji to get married.

Speaker 5 (11:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (11:25):
Lovely.

Speaker 5 (11:26):
We went a week beforehand.

Speaker 1 (11:27):
Lovely.

Speaker 14 (11:28):
It's so sunburnt that I ended up with sunstroke.

Speaker 3 (11:31):
Shut up. And blisters. Oh, Michelle.

Speaker 14 (11:34):
I had to consummate the marriage that night.

Speaker 3 (11:36):
Oh!

Speaker 12 (11:37):
And had to go to the doctor.

Speaker 3 (11:40):
In Fiji. Where was the majority of the sunburn? Was
it on your face? On my neck.

Speaker 5 (11:46):
Oh. Oh.

Speaker 12 (11:47):
Oh.

Speaker 3 (11:48):
And what kind of dress did you wear? The cat
in the front.

Speaker 1 (11:53):
The cat in the front.

Speaker 5 (11:54):
Oh, no.

Speaker 6 (11:55):
What are the wedding photos like? Do you look like
an over-cooked... Lobster.

Speaker 3 (11:59):
Prawn, yeah.

Speaker 14 (12:00):
Like a lobster with a white face.

Speaker 3 (12:02):
That's not how you want to describe your wedding photos.
Pretty rough.

Speaker 6 (12:05):
You should chuck them into chat GPT, Michelle, and be like,
and just go.

Speaker 3 (12:10):
No, no, he wasn't right for me.

Speaker 5 (12:11):
I divorced him.

Speaker 3 (12:12):
Oh, right.

Speaker 6 (12:13):
Okay.

Speaker 14 (12:13):
I'm like the perfect man now, though.

Speaker 9 (12:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (12:15):
Good on you, Michelle. It was just the universe telling
you that that wasn't right.

Speaker 6 (12:21):
The universe tried to burn you into not marrying him,
but you just wouldn't listen, Michelle.

Speaker 3 (12:26):
Have you ever gotten that sunburned again?

Speaker 14 (12:29):
Oh, God, no.

Speaker 3 (12:30):
Yeah, you learn your lesson, don't you?

Speaker 6 (12:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (12:32):
Yeah, absolutely.

Speaker 3 (12:33):
Oh, bless your heart.

Speaker 1 (12:34):
Thanks, Michelle. Let's go to Kate.

Speaker 3 (12:36):
Hi, Kate. Hi, Kate.

Speaker 15 (12:37):
Hi.

Speaker 1 (12:38):
Your dad got injured before the big event.

Speaker 10 (12:41):
Yeah, so him and my stepmom were getting married back
in 2024 and we were having the wedding at our
house in this like big shed we've got out the back.

Speaker 11 (12:50):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (12:50):
Right.

Speaker 10 (12:51):
And we got this like, he got this bath off
Facebook Marketplace. It's like heavy, I don't know, bath thing.

Speaker 3 (12:58):
For the drinks?

Speaker 5 (12:58):
With like ice and drinks and stuff.

Speaker 3 (13:00):
Yeah, nice.

Speaker 12 (13:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (13:01):
And two days before the wedding, he was moving it
and got his finger caught off it and chopped the
top of his finger off.

Speaker 9 (13:07):
Oh!

Speaker 6 (13:08):
Not his ring finger, was it, Kate?

Speaker 3 (13:09):
Yeah, not the ring finger.

Speaker 10 (13:10):
No, it was the middle finger next to the ring finger, though.
So it was very careful putting the wedding ring on
on the day.

Speaker 3 (13:18):
How much of the finger went?

Speaker 10 (13:21):
It was just the top, like, kind of maybe just
from the nail up.

Speaker 3 (13:25):
From the nail up?

Speaker 5 (13:27):
Oh!

Speaker 3 (13:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (13:28):
Oh.

Speaker 3 (13:29):
Poor guy.

Speaker 1 (13:31):
You didn't delay the wedding or anything, did you? You
don't do that for a finger.

Speaker 9 (13:33):
No, no, no.

Speaker 3 (13:33):
He just walked around with a really bandaged up finger.

Speaker 6 (13:36):
He could have put the finger in the bathtub full
of ice. Full circle moment. You know, to make it
feel better.

Speaker 3 (13:45):
What a freak accident, eh?

Speaker 6 (13:47):
Thanks, Kate.

Speaker 1 (13:47):
Let's go to Sarah.

Speaker 3 (13:48):
Hi, Sarah. Hi, Sarah. Hello. Was it you that injured
yourself before the big event?

Speaker 5 (13:53):
No.

Speaker 11 (13:54):
Yes, I had a whole month-long trip planned to South Africa,
and we were going to hike Mount Kilimanjaro.

Speaker 3 (14:01):
Incredible.

Speaker 11 (14:02):
And I was doing all these steps on the stair climber,
bought all the.

Speaker 5 (14:05):
Gear, hiking boots, everything. Two weeks before the flight, I
went to.

Speaker 11 (14:10):
An M83 concert and had a few too many adult beverages,
ended up falling down some stairs, breaking my arm, and
couldn't go on the trip.

Speaker 8 (14:21):
You should.

Speaker 1 (14:22):
You would have been the first.

Speaker 3 (14:25):
Oh, my God. I was 11.

Speaker 7 (14:28):
How long did you– how long– how many weeks did
you prepare for that trip?

Speaker 3 (14:33):
A few months.

Speaker 6 (14:34):
Wait, you can't do the hike with a broken arm?

Speaker 5 (14:38):
No, you can't fly with the broken arm.

Speaker 6 (14:40):
Oh, of course.

Speaker 11 (14:42):
Surely I can see a doctor over in Africa.

Speaker 5 (14:44):
And they were like, absolutely not.

Speaker 1 (14:46):
I wouldn't.

Speaker 3 (14:47):
You must have broken it pretty badly.

Speaker 6 (14:49):
That sucks so much. We asked, did you get injured
before the big event? Someone said I broke my elbow
a few weeks before my wedding. I wasn't meant to
be in a sling walking down the aisle, but I
ditched it early.

Speaker 1 (15:02):
Not a great look with a wedding gown.

Speaker 6 (15:04):
Yeah, fair enough.

Speaker 1 (15:05):
You just put up with the pain for a bit
in that one, don't you?

Speaker 3 (15:07):
Yeah, that's pretty hardcore though.

Speaker 7 (15:09):
Someone else said, my partner broke his foot as we
had just bought our new house last year.

Speaker 3 (15:15):
It was the worst move of my life.

Speaker 1 (15:18):
You'd be pissed.

Speaker 3 (15:19):
You'd be fuming.

Speaker 6 (15:19):
You'd be pissed.

Speaker 7 (15:20):
We moved house the last time my fiance and I,
we moved a couple of years ago and the week
we were moving, I got COVID real bad.

Speaker 6 (15:28):
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 7 (15:29):
And like I physically was, I could not hardly do anything.
I would just kind of sat there and packed boxes
and then I watched her do like... 20 trips.

Speaker 6 (15:39):
It's like when I fractured my elbows just after my
daughter was born.

Speaker 3 (15:43):
Your wife was not impressed.

Speaker 6 (15:45):
My father went through a massive glass window and cut
open his chest on his stag do and it was
so bad they thought that they might have to get
married in the hospital church.

Speaker 3 (15:55):
How bad do you want to get married?

Speaker 1 (15:57):
Just delay the marriage.

Speaker 3 (15:59):
Yeah. That's pretty awful.

Speaker 7 (16:02):
Someone said, I was the bride and I broke my
arm by falling off a wall the week before my wedding.
I cut my cast off for the day and all
the wedding photos to.

Speaker 3 (16:13):
Have me holding my arm in a very cautious position.

Speaker 7 (16:17):
I got it reset the next day in a waterproof
cast for my honeymoon in Rarotonga.

Speaker 5 (16:23):
Oh, nice.

Speaker 1 (16:23):
Waterproof cast.

Speaker 3 (16:25):
That woman sounds like a badass bitch.

Speaker 1 (16:28):
Yeah, nothing's going to stop her.

Speaker 6 (16:33):
I saw this clip earlier today and I wanted to
ask you ladies, is this true?

Speaker 1 (16:37):
Is this relatable?

Speaker 3 (16:38):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (16:38):
Is this how you guys experience the world?

Speaker 3 (16:40):
Oh, look at Clint wanting to learn more about women.

Speaker 9 (16:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (16:44):
About time.

Speaker 6 (16:45):
Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 1 (16:47):
See, fellas?

Speaker 6 (16:47):
Make a bit of effort.

Speaker 1 (16:48):
It goes a long way.

Speaker 3 (16:49):
It does go a long way. Here's the clip, okay? Okay.

Speaker 6 (16:53):
So I tried on the outfit that I put together
in my head and it looked.

Speaker 3 (16:56):
F * * * ing s * * *.

Speaker 2 (16:57):
So unfortunately, I won't be going.

Speaker 3 (16:59):
Have a good time.

Speaker 6 (17:05):
So my question for you ladies is that your experience.
Can we hear that one more time? Yeah, you can.

Speaker 3 (17:09):
So I tried on the outfit that I put together
in my head and it looked f * * *
ing s * * *.

Speaker 2 (17:14):
So unfortunately, I won't be going.

Speaker 3 (17:16):
Have a good time.

Speaker 6 (17:18):
So my question for you is, have you ever not
gone to something because the outfit you were going to
wear didn't look as good as you thought it would?

Speaker 5 (17:26):
Yep.

Speaker 9 (17:27):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (17:28):
Of course.

Speaker 1 (17:29):
Really?

Speaker 4 (17:29):
Yeah, I didn't go to our friend Liam who does
the technology at work.

Speaker 2 (17:34):
I didn't go to his party because I couldn't.

Speaker 3 (17:36):
His birthday party?

Speaker 2 (17:36):
No, it was a flat party.

Speaker 5 (17:38):
Oh.

Speaker 2 (17:38):
I couldn't find an outfit.

Speaker 3 (17:40):
That's crazy.

Speaker 2 (17:41):
I had a mental meltdown. Nothing was right.

Speaker 3 (17:43):
Oh, the amount of mental meltdowns I've had over outfits. Choice. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (17:48):
I've never met a man who cares less about clothing
than Liam from technology either.

Speaker 1 (17:52):
I know.

Speaker 6 (17:52):
You could have literally worn a reusable New World supermarket bag.
I just felt like- And he wouldn't have noticed.

Speaker 4 (17:58):
The clothes just fell off and it was one of
those things where you try on another thing, throw it out,
try on another thing, then your room's messy, then you're sweating.

Speaker 3 (18:04):
It's awful.

Speaker 1 (18:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (18:06):
It is a real spiral.

Speaker 2 (18:07):
I didn't know this was an option. I've just been
going to things ugly.

Speaker 3 (18:10):
Can we just not go? I have wondered that about you. Okay.

Speaker 1 (18:16):
Yeah, last thing Claudia came to, Brie said she's so brave.

Speaker 3 (18:20):
Good on her. It's nice of you to show up.
You always look great.

Speaker 1 (18:23):
I have actually had an outfit meltdown in the past.

Speaker 8 (18:25):
Have you?

Speaker 1 (18:25):
Yeah, and it was the day that I was going
to meet Katy Perry.

Speaker 3 (18:31):
You met Katy Perry.

Speaker 7 (18:32):
I've seen the photo of you and Katy Perry. You
had a meltdown and you decided to go with that outfit.

Speaker 1 (18:37):
Yeah, I know.

Speaker 3 (18:37):
Was that the deepest V that you wore? Yeah, it
was like a scoop neck singlet. Excuse you, it was not.

Speaker 7 (18:42):
And you could see how bright red his entire chest
and face was.

Speaker 6 (18:46):
No, it was an extra long Federation plaid shirt and
that's what I went with.

Speaker 3 (18:50):
Nice.

Speaker 6 (18:51):
And I was having a proper meltdown over it and
my girlfriend at the time pointed out how ridiculous I
was being, and she was like, do you actually think
Katy Perry gives a shit what you wear?

Speaker 7 (19:03):
Katy Perry isn't going to remember you five seconds after
you leave the room.

Speaker 2 (19:07):
She's probably out there right now.

Speaker 6 (19:08):
Which is rude for my girlfriend and true.

Speaker 3 (19:10):
Even though Clint stands by the fact, has he ever
said this to you?

Speaker 5 (19:13):
No.

Speaker 7 (19:14):
He stands by the fact that he reckons if he
was single, he could have hooked, no, it's Katy Perry.

Speaker 5 (19:21):
No. No.

Speaker 3 (19:22):
Rita Ora. That's who it was. That's not. Clint stands by.

Speaker 7 (19:25):
The fact that Rita Ora.

Speaker 3 (19:29):
Flirted with him and he could have hooked up with
Rita Ora.

Speaker 2 (19:32):
Do you know why that is though?

Speaker 3 (19:33):
Why? Because you wore the right outfit that day. I
wore the right outfit.

Speaker 12 (19:37):
Hey.

Speaker 3 (19:37):
Isn't that the story? Yes. But I didn't say it
like that. And you've got to be careful because she
lives in Auckland now.

Speaker 6 (19:44):
You can't just say that kind of thing.

Speaker 3 (19:45):
She could be listening. Rita Ora, if you're listening, can
you please clean up? up this story? I call beers.

Speaker 6 (19:52):
I've got the photo and it's hard. The evidence is
actually irrefutable in the photo. All I said was Rita
Ora and I had a moment in a hotel room
in Sydney.

Speaker 3 (20:03):
Oh, so you're backtracking now?

Speaker 1 (20:05):
And.

Speaker 3 (20:05):
You're backtracking.

Speaker 7 (20:06):
You said Rita Ora had the hots for you and
you felt the vibe.

Speaker 2 (20:11):
Do you think that with everyone you interview, that they
all have.

Speaker 3 (20:14):
The hots for you?

Speaker 1 (20:15):
Not the Katy Perry one, not in what I was wearing.

Speaker 6 (20:19):
Someone described me as looking like a hungry farmer.

Speaker 3 (20:22):
You were so red.

Speaker 1 (20:24):
And I was so red, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 5 (20:26):
Anyway.

Speaker 3 (20:27):
Anyway, Rita Ora, get in touch if you're listening, 9696.

Speaker 1 (20:30):
Text me, girl.

Speaker 2 (20:30):
Let's get the tea. The Tea, live from LA with
Dean McCarthy.

Speaker 6 (20:38):
Dean, get us across this story, because Brie said it before,
it was not a new bingo card for 2026, but
is Pink in trouble for something she's posted?

Speaker 5 (20:47):
So she might be in trouble for something she's reposted.
So here's the situation. Macklemore is currently touring with Ed Sheeran, okay?

Speaker 9 (20:55):
Mm-hmm.

Speaker 5 (20:56):
And in his performances, he has shared basically that he
is pro-Palestine.

Speaker 6 (21:03):
Mm-hmm.

Speaker 5 (21:03):
And he has, I believe, even during his performance, had
pictures of Gaza and things like that up on the screens.
Very confronting. There is a... organization that is obviously blasting
his performance, saying how terrible it is. And Pink reposted
their post.

Speaker 14 (21:23):
Right.

Speaker 5 (21:23):
She didn't write anything. She didn't add any of her
own commentary. They said he shouldn't be doing this and
all of the concertgoers should get a refund. Pink reposted
their post. So basically that she is not in agreeance
with McElmore's pro-Palestine stance. And that is where this is
kind of, people are actually calling to him to be
removed from the Ed Sheeran tour. I'd love to know what,

(21:47):
I don't know whether he should be doing a political thing. Like,
I don't know whether that's the space.

Speaker 3 (21:51):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (21:52):
Ed Sheeran, we have not heard from him, obviously, but
Macklemore has not been removed from the tour yet, but
his calls seem to be removed.

Speaker 1 (22:00):
What an interesting situation.

Speaker 6 (22:02):
I do think that music and politics can, I think
they've always merged together. I think protest music is really important,
and he is obviously standing up for.

Speaker 3 (22:12):
What he believes in. I was going to say, if
you know anything about Macklemore, this isn't anything new.

Speaker 7 (22:16):
He has always used his music. to stand up for
what he believes in. And obviously he continues to do
that and use his voice for that.

Speaker 6 (22:25):
Pink is in the crosshairs though because I'm surprised she
even got involved. I wonder if she's accidentally reshared it
or something like that.

Speaker 3 (22:34):
Because, yeah, God.

Speaker 6 (22:38):
It's weird because she is, well, has she taken a
stand on things before? I don't really know what Pink's
politics are.

Speaker 3 (22:47):
Yeah, that's an interesting one.

Speaker 7 (22:48):
Obviously, she definitely has used her voice and her platform
in the past to stand up for certain things. I
don't believe I've seen her comment on this particular situation,
but maybe this is her doing that.

Speaker 3 (23:03):
She'll say something.

Speaker 1 (23:03):
She'll have to say something.

Speaker 3 (23:04):
Yeah, surely her people or her will come out with
a statement.

Speaker 6 (23:08):
Yeah, right. Pink wasn't on the list of people to
get cancelled in 2026, but here we are. That's the
tea with Dean McCarthy. We're back after this.

Speaker 2 (23:14):
The ZM Podcast Network.

Speaker 6 (23:18):
A show well known for its maritime and aviation news.
Not so much for its locomotive news. Until now. Train news, baby.

Speaker 3 (23:28):
We're adding that feather to our caps.

Speaker 6 (23:30):
Train news. This weekend, the long-awaited CRL, which is the
subway in Auckland, the underground train, finally opens. It's train time.

Speaker 3 (23:41):
What a day. What a time to be alive.

Speaker 6 (23:43):
Isn't it?

Speaker 3 (23:44):
I'm so excited. This is like my Christmas.

Speaker 6 (23:46):
It's very Auckland-y, but it's kind of like Christchurch with
the stadium, you know? We've been waiting a long time
for this. I feel like- It's cost us a lot
of money.

Speaker 3 (23:55):
10 years.

Speaker 6 (23:56):
Yeah, about 10 years.

Speaker 3 (23:57):
We've been waiting.

Speaker 8 (23:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (23:58):
It was originally meant to cost $ 2. 5 billion, the CRL.

Speaker 3 (24:01):
Did they save money?

Speaker 1 (24:04):
Depends how you define save.

Speaker 3 (24:05):
It cost $ 5. 5 billion.

Speaker 5 (24:06):
Whoa!

Speaker 6 (24:08):
Five and a half billion dollars. So you better bloody
ride it, okay? Aucklanders, you better use it. The rest
of the country, you ever come to Auckland, you better
go on that goddamn train, okay? It's like when people
put a sauna in at their house and they feel
the need to use the sauna every day, even if
they don't like sauna. They're like, well, I've spent the money, I.

Speaker 1 (24:27):
Have to use it now. That's how we treat the train.

Speaker 3 (24:29):
I'm convinced our green hates ice baths and saunas. Hates them,
but he's like, oh, spent the money.

Speaker 1 (24:35):
Yeah, that's the problem, isn't it?

Speaker 3 (24:36):
Better use it.

Speaker 5 (24:37):
So.

Speaker 6 (24:38):
It opens this weekend. Smart to open it on a weekend,
you know, so you can get all the bugs out.
Because imagine you go Monday, you go, all right, time
to get the new train to work.

Speaker 1 (24:47):
Bam, doesn't work. And that will happen too.

Speaker 7 (24:50):
I need to inform my fiancée because we don't have
many plans this weekend, but once I tell her about this, God, our.

Speaker 3 (24:58):
Weekend is booked.

Speaker 6 (24:58):
You and the new baby.

Speaker 3 (24:59):
We can just ride that rail all Saturday.

Speaker 6 (25:03):
And you can, okay? And Sunday. Because CRL, the L
stands for loop. So you can just go around and
around and around.

Speaker 3 (25:12):
It just got so much more exciting.

Speaker 6 (25:15):
So if you want to be the first on the train,
because that's pretty cool to be able to say you
were the first person to ever ride the train, right?

Speaker 3 (25:23):
I mean, very cool.

Speaker 6 (25:25):
I think it's cool, okay.

Speaker 3 (25:26):
Are you going to do it?

Speaker 6 (25:27):
No, but I think it's cool. Well, maybe I am actually.
Let me give you the details.

Speaker 7 (25:31):
Do you need a hop card? Because this is where
I feel like it's a handbrake for me because I
do love to ride public transport. I find it relaxing.
depending on what time of day you're riding. Early hours
of the morning and late hours of the night, not
so much. But during the day, like, do you need
a hop card?

Speaker 6 (25:48):
Do you know how I know you're lying when you
say I love to ride public transport?

Speaker 5 (25:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (25:52):
Because if you did love to ride public transport, you'd
know you can just tap your FPOS card.

Speaker 3 (25:57):
See, well, I didn't– well, look, I'll be honest.

Speaker 7 (25:59):
I haven't got on public transport recently in New Zealand.

Speaker 6 (26:04):
If ever. Okay.

Speaker 1 (26:06):
It's a big transition.

Speaker 3 (26:08):
But– I was a big user of the public transport
system during my uni days.

Speaker 1 (26:14):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (26:16):
Where? In Brisbane.

Speaker 5 (26:17):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (26:17):
Which great public transport system, if anyone from Brisbane's listening,
which we used to have to have a card.

Speaker 9 (26:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (26:25):
And when I went to London recently, they were like,
you just tap on and off with the FBOS card.

Speaker 3 (26:31):
I was like, this is genius.

Speaker 6 (26:33):
Yeah, 2026.

Speaker 3 (26:33):
So you can do that here, can't you?

Speaker 1 (26:35):
Yes, you can.

Speaker 5 (26:35):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (26:36):
I wouldn't know. I take my limo to and from work.

Speaker 1 (26:39):
Do you want to be the first one to ride
the train?

Speaker 3 (26:41):
You can.

Speaker 6 (26:41):
It opens, the first trains will depart at 5am this
Sunday morning.

Speaker 3 (26:46):
Okay? You reckon people will be lining up at 5am?
I really do.

Speaker 1 (26:50):
I really do.

Speaker 6 (26:51):
The first one, the very first scheduled passenger service on
the new train in Auckland will leave.

Speaker 1 (26:57):
Otahuhu at 4.57am on the South City line.

Speaker 5 (27:00):
Ew.

Speaker 7 (27:03):
Actually, when was the last time you rode public transport?

Speaker 1 (27:07):
Saturday.

Speaker 3 (27:08):
Where?

Speaker 6 (27:09):
I got the train from my suburb into the city
to collect my car.

Speaker 3 (27:14):
That's because you were too intoxicated when you went to
that movie on your own and you had to get
the train home.

Speaker 6 (27:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (27:19):
You weren't planning on getting the train home.

Speaker 6 (27:23):
But I still used it, didn't I?

Speaker 3 (27:25):
That's true. I probably would have panicked and walked home.

Speaker 6 (27:28):
When's the last time you used public transport?

Speaker 3 (27:31):
Literally three days ago, Bree. And before that? Shut up.

Speaker 6 (27:33):
And before that?

Speaker 15 (27:35):
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (27:36):
Two weeks ago when I went to the rugby.

Speaker 3 (27:40):
Should have quit while I was ahead.

Speaker 6 (27:42):
Maybe we cancelled train news.

Speaker 1 (27:45):
I feel like it's tearing this show apart.

Speaker 3 (27:47):
Yeah, I feel like it is putting a wedge between us.

Speaker 2 (27:50):
It's ZM's Bree and Clint podcast.

Speaker 6 (27:53):
God, I really do think train news is a fail.
People texting in going, Clint, the L doesn't stand for
loop in CRL. It stands for link.

Speaker 1 (28:01):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (28:02):
Wait, you're telling me it's not even a loop?

Speaker 6 (28:04):
No, it is a loop.

Speaker 3 (28:05):
Are you sure?

Speaker 7 (28:06):
Because you didn't even know what the L stood for
in CRL.

Speaker 6 (28:10):
Train news is cancelled, all right?

Speaker 1 (28:13):
It's off.

Speaker 6 (28:14):
You ruined it. You ruined it.

Speaker 2 (28:16):
Who, me?

Speaker 3 (28:16):
Everyone.

Speaker 6 (28:18):
Everyone ruined it.

Speaker 3 (28:19):
Okay.

Speaker 5 (28:19):
Okay.

Speaker 6 (28:20):
No more train news.

Speaker 3 (28:21):
God, someone's sensitive about their train news. You were the
one that got it wrong.

Speaker 6 (28:25):
I was going to ride the train to work on
Monday so we could talk about it.

Speaker 3 (28:28):
Were you just? Yep.

Speaker 1 (28:30):
I was.

Speaker 3 (28:31):
What, now you're not doing it?

Speaker 5 (28:33):
No.

Speaker 1 (28:34):
No, I don't want to.

Speaker 3 (28:34):
Okay, well, if you let others' opinions affect your.

Speaker 6 (28:40):
Don't try and neg me.

Speaker 3 (28:41):
Decision making.

Speaker 6 (28:41):
Don't try and neg me into riding the train, okay?

Speaker 3 (28:44):
Be your own person. Ride the train if you're going
to ride the train. That's all I'm going to say.

Speaker 6 (28:48):
Anyway, I said I had theme park news for you before.
And what I meant is, Brie, I have theme park
news for you.

Speaker 3 (28:54):
For me? For you.

Speaker 1 (28:55):
For everyone that's interested, but I feel like you specifically.

Speaker 3 (28:58):
There's a cheese theme park that's opening. Close. Really?

Speaker 6 (29:02):
Close as far as the things that you love. But
don't take it from me. Take it from Chairman of
the NRL, Peter Volandes.

Speaker 9 (29:10):
Well, NRL World, which is a theme park, it's going
to have augmented reality. You'll be able to speak to
your favourite player and he's going to be able to
answer back. And it'll be something different for sport. And,
you know, we're looking forward to launching that in the
next six months. The younger generation love playing games.

Speaker 1 (29:23):
So let's give them to them.

Speaker 9 (29:25):
Let's give them some life reality in, you know, kick
a goal, pass the ball, all augmented reality.

Speaker 6 (29:30):
Dream World. Sea World, NRL World.

Speaker 3 (29:34):
I'm so keen. Are you? NRL World, hell yes. Imagine
the game. that they'd have.

Speaker 9 (29:41):
Mm-hmm.

Speaker 3 (29:41):
It'd be awesome.

Speaker 6 (29:42):
One of the big selling points you would have heard
Volandes say there was that you can go and talk
to one of your favourite NRL players. What are they
all going to live at NRL World? No, an augmented reality,
so it'll be like a hologram. You can go and
talk to some gronk from Newcastle and be like, hey,
I love you, you're my favourite player, and he'll go, oh.

Speaker 3 (30:02):
Nice to meet you.

Speaker 6 (30:04):
Got any beers?

Speaker 3 (30:06):
The boys and I, we went out there, gave 110%.
That's all we could do today.

Speaker 6 (30:10):
I don't want to be negative about everything, but it
is giving off the vibe of, you know that episode
of The Simpsons where the guy comes to town and
sells them a monorail?

Speaker 5 (30:20):
Monorail.

Speaker 6 (30:20):
It sounds like some tech guy has gone to Sydney
and gone to Peter Volandes and gone, you know what
I could do for you?

Speaker 1 (30:28):
Augmented reality NRL world. And he's like, whoa, why would
I do that? And he's gone. Because kids love video games.

Speaker 6 (30:37):
Oh, okay. It's only going to cost you $ 30 million.

Speaker 1 (30:41):
He's gone, oh, okay.

Speaker 3 (30:43):
That sounds good.

Speaker 1 (30:44):
NRL world.

Speaker 3 (30:45):
NRL world. I'm keen. I think it would be a
good time.

Speaker 7 (30:48):
Imagine you and I would like if they could put
me in an augmented reality where I could relive like
a certain state of origin.

Speaker 3 (30:58):
Okay. But I could be one of the players. Okay.

Speaker 7 (31:01):
And I could be there and relive those moments of
certain games.

Speaker 13 (31:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (31:06):
Would be pretty special. Okay.

Speaker 6 (31:07):
Now you're talking. Okay. So if they could put you
in Jonathan Thurston's boots.

Speaker 13 (31:12):
Yes.

Speaker 6 (31:12):
And you could kick the winning drop kick.

Speaker 3 (31:15):
How amazing would that be?

Speaker 6 (31:16):
In the NRL grand final and then all the players
rush up to you. That would actually be quite incredible,
wouldn't it?

Speaker 3 (31:21):
Yeah. It'd be awesome. And then you could have rides
like where you have to run into like a certain
area and then they hit you with what it would
feel like to be tackled by, you know, like a
front rower in the NRL.

Speaker 6 (31:34):
Oh, well, if we're doing feeling stuff, imagine if they
did the John Hoppawattie experience.

Speaker 8 (31:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (31:42):
Yeah, that's adults only. That's adults only, yeah. It's got
a height and age restriction on that one.

Speaker 3 (31:48):
It sure does.

Speaker 6 (31:49):
To sign a waiver to go on the John Hoppawattie experience.
Next on the show we're going to play Let's Get
Classical and it will be Ella's final round of Let's
Get Classical which means this could quite possibly be the
final ever game of.

Speaker 1 (32:06):
Let's Get Classical.

Speaker 3 (32:07):
It could very well be.

Speaker 6 (32:08):
The game is predicated on the idea that Ella knows
more about music than us and has a better musical
ear than us.

Speaker 2 (32:14):
And it got quite serious.

Speaker 1 (32:16):
It did get quite serious.

Speaker 2 (32:17):
So it turned into quite a big competition.

Speaker 5 (32:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (32:19):
Claude, you do keep track of who wins what, don't you?

Speaker 9 (32:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (32:24):
I was just wondering, should we do, as it's the
last game, we should do a wrap-up.

Speaker 1 (32:31):
Of what the total scores are?

Speaker 3 (32:32):
Yeah, from over the years.

Speaker 6 (32:33):
That would be interesting, wouldn't it?

Speaker 2 (32:35):
I'm only keen if I won.

Speaker 6 (32:37):
Imagine if we're even. Imagine if it's been a couple
of years of this game and we're even. I reckon
it is probably about 50-50.

Speaker 1 (32:44):
And this is the decider.

Speaker 15 (32:46):
I've got a couple of weeks to back up on,
but that'll take me like 30 seconds.

Speaker 9 (32:49):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (32:49):
We'll play a song and then I'll play a game. Yeah,
we'll play a song. You get the data. Ella, Ella,
you're on.

Speaker 5 (32:53):
All right.

Speaker 1 (32:53):
This is your final game.

Speaker 2 (32:54):
You're on, dickheads.

Speaker 3 (32:56):
You're on. Yeah, there she is. Yeah, there it is.

Speaker 6 (32:58):
You need to pick the winner, okay? Is it going
to be Ella in her final ever Let's Get Classical?
Or are Brie and Clint going to come in and
crush her hopes and dreams?

Speaker 2 (33:07):
Nah, you losers won't win.

Speaker 7 (33:09):
You can text Ella to 9696 or Brie and Clint
to 9696.

Speaker 2 (33:14):
My smack talk has not gone well.

Speaker 6 (33:16):
Listen to how hard she's trying to smack talk.

Speaker 3 (33:18):
Yeah, you suck.

Speaker 2 (33:20):
I'm really not good at smack talk.

Speaker 3 (33:22):
Okay, let me try.

Speaker 2 (33:23):
Oi, you over there in the corner, you think you're
going to win?

Speaker 5 (33:26):
Yep.

Speaker 12 (33:26):
Nah.

Speaker 13 (33:28):
Nah.

Speaker 3 (33:28):
You suck.

Speaker 2 (33:29):
I don't know what to say.

Speaker 1 (33:30):
No, so just stop.

Speaker 6 (33:31):
There's 50 KFC chicken dollars up for grabs if you
correctly pick the winner.

Speaker 7 (33:35):
Let's hope her, let's get classical game plays better than that.

Speaker 12 (33:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 13 (33:43):
Bringing clients let's get classical could be the final ever
let's get classical because this is Ella's final week people
are still finding this out every time we mention it
they text in and they go what where's Ella going.

Speaker 3 (33:57):
Yeah, someone said, I don't know about that life decision.

Speaker 6 (34:00):
Yeah, well, she's going to Uganda to raise orphaned guinea pigs.

Speaker 3 (34:04):
So how do you feel now? Exactly, right?

Speaker 5 (34:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (34:07):
You can't stand between a girl and her calling.

Speaker 2 (34:09):
I'm going to be grating carrots.

Speaker 3 (34:11):
She's going to be a guinea pig shepherd. First one.

Speaker 1 (34:14):
Ella, guinea pig shepherd.

Speaker 2 (34:16):
That's me, baby.

Speaker 3 (34:18):
So let's get.

Speaker 6 (34:19):
Classical one more time where we guess popular songs in
classical style. Claudia.

Speaker 3 (34:25):
Hello.

Speaker 6 (34:26):
Did you manage to find out what the leaderboard is
for the entire history of this game?

Speaker 2 (34:31):
I've got you the.

Speaker 15 (34:31):
Last three years, which I think is the number of
years that we've played it. So in 2024, it was
19 points to Bree and Clint, 23 to Ella.

Speaker 3 (34:39):
Nice.

Speaker 2 (34:40):
Ella on top for that one. Last year, 27 to
Bree and.

Speaker 3 (34:43):
Clint, 17 to Ella.

Speaker 13 (34:45):
Whoa, pantsy.

Speaker 3 (34:46):
Bad year for Ella. Bad year for you, Ella.

Speaker 15 (34:49):
The crazy thing is I hadn't added up this year's
scores until just now.

Speaker 3 (34:52):
Hmm. You have 11 each.

Speaker 4 (34:54):
11 each.

Speaker 3 (34:55):
For the year. Shut up. No way.

Speaker 6 (34:59):
So shall we treat this as year three, the decider
of year three?

Speaker 5 (35:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (35:03):
Seeing as we've got a year each.

Speaker 3 (35:05):
Oh, a lot on the line.

Speaker 2 (35:06):
It's kind of the decider of the whole thing then
because you're tied.

Speaker 6 (35:09):
That's what I mean.

Speaker 2 (35:09):
For the whole thing.

Speaker 6 (35:10):
That's what I mean.

Speaker 5 (35:11):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (35:12):
That's crazy.

Speaker 2 (35:12):
Let's do it.

Speaker 5 (35:13):
Okay.

Speaker 15 (35:13):
Well, you obviously know how it works. Buzz in with
your name. Tell me the name of the song and
the name of the artist. First team to two correct
songs wins everything.

Speaker 3 (35:23):
Are we ready? Ready.

Speaker 2 (35:25):
No pressure.

Speaker 3 (35:25):
Yeah, no pressure.

Speaker 2 (35:27):
I need to get my Hulk out.

Speaker 9 (35:28):
Hang on.

Speaker 3 (35:33):
Do you call your poos Hulks?

Speaker 2 (35:35):
No, like my competitive.

Speaker 3 (35:37):
If your poos are green, you need to get that checked.
I will.

Speaker 2 (35:40):
That might be spinach, but it could be something else.

Speaker 3 (35:42):
Let's just play, okay?

Speaker 2 (35:44):
Here's your first song.

Speaker 5 (35:50):
Oh, Ella.

Speaker 9 (35:52):
Mm-hmm, Ella.

Speaker 2 (35:55):
Ella, Bruno Mars, Just The Way You Are.

Speaker 3 (35:57):
She's got it.

Speaker 2 (35:58):
Yeah, that's it.

Speaker 3 (36:02):
I didn't even barely hear it.

Speaker 6 (36:03):
I heard nothing in there.

Speaker 3 (36:04):
Let alone guess what it was.

Speaker 2 (36:05):
I like that you re-buzz even though it's already your turn.

Speaker 6 (36:10):
Ella, you're one win away from taking out the whole thing.

Speaker 2 (36:15):
Don't give it to me. Are you trying?

Speaker 6 (36:17):
We're trying, yes.

Speaker 3 (36:17):
Yeah, we're trying.

Speaker 5 (36:18):
Good.

Speaker 2 (36:19):
I want a win with a win.

Speaker 15 (36:21):
Ella!

Speaker 3 (36:25):
Ella, are you going to win with a win right now?

Speaker 2 (36:26):
No, I think it's wrong, but I was going to
say Hall of Fame.

Speaker 5 (36:29):
No.

Speaker 3 (36:29):
Great guess. Really good guess.

Speaker 2 (36:31):
Free guess, Brie and Clint?

Speaker 1 (36:33):
Oh, I had it there. Just as that little piano.

Speaker 3 (36:35):
I got nothing.

Speaker 6 (36:36):
No, I have to go again.

Speaker 3 (36:37):
Okay, we're all back in. Oh, what's this? Oh! Oh,
it's right there.

Speaker 2 (36:50):
Ella? Ella? See you again, Charlie.

Speaker 5 (36:52):
Poof! I won!

Speaker 6 (36:53):
I won!

Speaker 3 (36:58):
I was nowhere. Ella did it. Taking down the big, mean,
ugly Brie and Clint to come out on top.

Speaker 6 (37:09):
And thank God she did it because there wasn't a
single text for Brie and I this week. We all
wanted Ella to go out on a win and Maya,
you correctly did it, picked Ella, so you get 50
KFC chicken dollars.

Speaker 13 (37:21):
Maya.

Speaker 3 (37:22):
Maya.

Speaker 10 (37:23):
Maya?

Speaker 3 (37:23):
We'll get a hold of Maya later. She's speechless.

Speaker 6 (37:28):
Congratulations, Ella.

Speaker 3 (37:29):
Congrats, Ella. Well deserved. What a song to go out on.

Speaker 2 (37:31):
Now we watch her drive away.

Speaker 6 (37:33):
How can we not talk about family when family's all
that we got?

Speaker 3 (37:36):
That's you, Ella, your family. Stop.

Speaker 2 (37:39):
Don't be nice to me.

Speaker 3 (37:40):
I'll cry.

Speaker 2 (37:41):
ZDM's Brie and Clint podcast.

Speaker 3 (37:44):
Here's the situation.

Speaker 7 (37:46):
My sister-in-law has sent me a message this morning saying,
do you know what's happening at your parents' house at
the moment? And I said, I have no idea what
you're talking about. So her and my brother have gone
to visit my parents in lovely Stanthorpe, Queensland over the weekend. Kim,
my sister-in-law and my brother, as they've walked into the house,

(38:08):
they were greeted.

Speaker 3 (38:10):
With a smell.

Speaker 7 (38:12):
And Kim said it was, What she recalled is quite
a recognisable smell. And both her and my brother were like,
what is that? They soon realised that my parents had
planted some new trees out the front of the main
doorway of the house. My sister-in-law said to me, They've

(38:36):
planted trees that are known to give off a smell
that is.

Speaker 3 (38:43):
Of a bodily fluid only men produce.

Speaker 13 (38:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (38:47):
We're being very careful with the wording here.

Speaker 3 (38:49):
And I've looked it up.

Speaker 7 (38:51):
The particular tree, and they've planted multiple, by the way.
They've planted multiple ornamental pear trees, which according to the
research I've done, uh have been given a nickname that
i can't repeat on radio um.

Speaker 6 (39:07):
Starts with c starts with c c trees c trees.

Speaker 7 (39:10):
Uh and they are known to smell and have a
pungent aroma that is very similar to a bodily fluid
that comes.

Speaker 6 (39:18):
From a man is your mother aware of the type
of trees that she has planted this.

Speaker 7 (39:23):
Is what i don't know yeah and i think we
need to call her and ask her if she knows
what her and my father have done.

Speaker 1 (39:29):
She If she doesn't, she's going to be mortified.

Speaker 3 (39:33):
She is. And if she does... Hello? Hello?

Speaker 2 (39:36):
Hello, what's going on?

Speaker 3 (39:39):
Not much.

Speaker 2 (39:39):
How are you?

Speaker 3 (39:40):
You're on the radio right now, Mum.

Speaker 6 (39:41):
Hey, Di. Oh, am I?

Speaker 3 (39:43):
Yes.

Speaker 9 (39:44):
Am I, guys?

Speaker 12 (39:45):
How are you going?

Speaker 3 (39:45):
Yes, we're good.

Speaker 7 (39:47):
Hey, look, a bit of a courtesy call for you
this afternoon, Mum. I got a message. I'm not going
to say who from, but I got a message.

Speaker 3 (39:56):
From someone about something you and Dad have done there
at the house, and I just wanted to call you
to see if you realise the mistake you've made.

Speaker 5 (40:07):
Oh, okay. I've got no idea what you're talking about,
but fill me in.

Speaker 3 (40:12):
Okay, great. Are there any particular new plants that you
have planted around the house recently?

Speaker 5 (40:19):
Planted around the house?

Speaker 3 (40:20):
Any trees that you might have planted?

Speaker 5 (40:24):
No.

Speaker 6 (40:25):
Any sort of bushes with a strong fragrance?

Speaker 3 (40:29):
Big Steve. Big Steve, are you there?

Speaker 11 (40:32):
Oh.

Speaker 5 (40:32):
I certainly am.

Speaker 3 (40:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (40:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (40:34):
G'day, Steve.

Speaker 1 (40:35):
Bree's dad.

Speaker 3 (40:36):
Hi, Dad.

Speaker 14 (40:36):
G'day, guys.

Speaker 6 (40:37):
How are you?

Speaker 7 (40:38):
They're the trees that I'm talking about. They're known as
ornamental pear trees. How many of those have you planted, Dad?

Speaker 5 (40:45):
There's six in the front and I think another six
or eight.

Speaker 1 (40:53):
On the back.

Speaker 7 (40:53):
Okay, so quite a few of the trees. I know
that they're in blossom at the moment. How would you
describe the smell of the trees? Do they smell like anything?

Speaker 12 (41:04):
I call them my poo-smelling trees.

Speaker 5 (41:07):
Oh, shut up, Steve.

Speaker 3 (41:09):
Oh, poo. You reckon poo. Oh, poo. No. It's horrible.
It's a very, very, very, very strong smell. Hey, Mum.

Speaker 5 (41:18):
I thought the kettle had been in the front yard.

Speaker 7 (41:20):
Okay, so you think kettle. Question, is it a recognisable
smell for.

Speaker 13 (41:24):
You, Mum?

Speaker 5 (41:27):
Why?

Speaker 6 (41:27):
Does it bring back memories of anything?

Speaker 3 (41:30):
Yeah, does it smell like anything in particular?

Speaker 6 (41:32):
Have you smelt that smell recently?

Speaker 9 (41:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 12 (41:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (41:35):
Maybe.

Speaker 7 (41:38):
Are you guys aware as to what those trees are nicknamed?

Speaker 3 (41:44):
No. What are they nicknamed?

Speaker 7 (41:46):
The ornamental pear tree has the nickname in Australia, trees.

Speaker 6 (41:53):
Oh, no.

Speaker 5 (41:56):
No, Brianna.

Speaker 1 (41:58):
That's not right.

Speaker 2 (41:59):
No.

Speaker 3 (41:59):
No, I'm being dead serious with you.

Speaker 6 (42:03):
This is not a wind-up.

Speaker 3 (42:04):
This is not a wind-up at all.

Speaker 6 (42:06):
You've got half a dozen trees out the front and
then another.

Speaker 1 (42:10):
Half a dozen trees up your back end.

Speaker 3 (42:13):
You've got a– trees all over the property.

Speaker 8 (42:16):
Oh, Brianna.

Speaker 2 (42:18):
Oh, Brianna.

Speaker 3 (42:19):
What did Dad say, Mum?

Speaker 12 (42:22):
Are they underwater?

Speaker 1 (42:25):
No, not those type.

Speaker 3 (42:27):
No, no. They're not on ships.

Speaker 5 (42:29):
They're going to open the front door again at the moment.

Speaker 10 (42:32):
They're absolutely beautiful if you can't smell anything.

Speaker 14 (42:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (42:38):
Can I just say, Di, you did a wonderful job
of pretending to not recognise the smell.

Speaker 3 (42:42):
Yeah, we almost believed you.

Speaker 10 (42:44):
You know how you smell something and you think, What
is that smell?

Speaker 3 (42:51):
I can't quite put my finger on it.

Speaker 6 (42:53):
I don't want to know anymore.

Speaker 3 (42:55):
There's good news, guys.

Speaker 6 (42:56):
To remove the smell, you obviously want to know how
to get rid of the smell, don't you?

Speaker 8 (43:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (43:01):
Yeah, you just go and get a tree vasectomy.

Speaker 5 (43:02):
Mmm.

Speaker 3 (43:05):
It's a simple procedure.

Speaker 5 (43:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (43:08):
Simple procedure. Just a quick snip. A little snip, snip,
and it'll get rid of that smell.

Speaker 5 (43:12):
I think I'll give them a lobotomy as well.

Speaker 3 (43:15):
It's called ring marking.

Speaker 2 (43:17):
That's what it's called.

Speaker 3 (43:18):
Dead set true story, though, guys. This is not a wind-up.

Speaker 7 (43:21):
That is what those trees are nicknamed, and you've got
a bunch of them in your front and backyard.

Speaker 5 (43:26):
No, Brianna, I reckon I'm going to go and look
it up now because I reckon this is a G-up.

Speaker 3 (43:32):
It's a C-up, that's for sure.

Speaker 5 (43:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (43:36):
It's 8am' s Brie and Clint.

Speaker 3 (43:39):
Evening everybody, Brie and Clint.

Speaker 6 (43:40):
If you just need a morale boost right now, I
just want you to look out the window wherever you are.
Realise the fact that it's three minutes past 5pm.

Speaker 1 (43:48):
And it's full sunlight. Well, where we are, it's full sunlight.

Speaker 3 (43:51):
It wouldn't be? I don't know. Around the rest of
the country?

Speaker 6 (43:55):
In summer, it gets dark later in the South Island.
I don't know about right in this part of the season.

Speaker 3 (44:01):
Closer to the equator.

Speaker 6 (44:02):
Surely, surely.

Speaker 1 (44:03):
Surely everyone's got the sunlight right now.

Speaker 3 (44:05):
We're closer to the equator.

Speaker 1 (44:07):
No, we are closer to the equator, yeah.

Speaker 3 (44:09):
South Island closer to.

Speaker 6 (44:10):
Antarctica.

Speaker 3 (44:11):
Antarctica.

Speaker 5 (44:11):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (44:12):
That's why it's colder.

Speaker 1 (44:13):
Yeah, that's why it's called the South.

Speaker 5 (44:15):
Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (44:16):
South Pole.

Speaker 6 (44:17):
No, it's proximity to Antarctica isn't why it's... Oh, or
is it?

Speaker 3 (44:22):
I think it is.

Speaker 9 (44:23):
Is it?

Speaker 3 (44:24):
I think so. Yeah, it's closer to the bottom of
the Earth.

Speaker 1 (44:28):
Oh, that'll be why Northland's hotter.

Speaker 3 (44:31):
Yep, that is right. Anyway, look outside right now. I
can't tell if he's being serious.

Speaker 1 (44:35):
I can't tell if you're being serious.

Speaker 3 (44:37):
I'm being dead serious.

Speaker 7 (44:38):
I believe that the South Island is colder because it's
closer to Antarctica.

Speaker 3 (44:42):
But that doesn't track with your flat earth sentiment. Shut up.
Now you're trying to deflect about the fact that you
just learnt why the South Island's colder.

Speaker 1 (44:55):
I didn't say that.

Speaker 3 (44:57):
Stop gaslighting me. When did I say that?

Speaker 1 (45:01):
Oh, my God.

Speaker 3 (45:02):
Claudia, am I going crazy?

Speaker 1 (45:04):
This is baby brain. Am I experiencing baby brain in
real life?

Speaker 3 (45:06):
Are we both going crazy? Wait. Whose side are you on?

Speaker 2 (45:12):
The south is colder.

Speaker 15 (45:14):
The north is warmer because of the equator.

Speaker 3 (45:17):
Yes, that's what I'm saying. Exactly right.

Speaker 7 (45:21):
Clint only just realised that, but now he's trying to
backtrack and say that he knew that all along.

Speaker 1 (45:26):
Let's just agree to disagree, okay?

Speaker 2 (45:28):
No, no.

Speaker 3 (45:30):
We're not agreeing to disagree.

Speaker 6 (45:32):
Okay, you're right. If that's what you need to hear,
you're right.

Speaker 7 (45:34):
Hey, I am wrong about so much on this show
and you're always right. So when you are wrong and
I teach you something, I relish in it.

Speaker 1 (45:41):
Okay, it's getting a bit heated in here. I reckon
we just stick a pin in there.

Speaker 3 (45:44):
We're going too far north. I think it's because we're
in the North Island.

Speaker 6 (45:47):
Hey, next on the show, you're going to love this.
Brie has sent a very loving message for her partner
to the wrong person.

Speaker 3 (45:54):
Not just anyone. Someone who I admire and adore and
they're famous.

Speaker 1 (46:00):
You said a celebrity, yeah.

Speaker 13 (46:02):
Yep.

Speaker 9 (46:03):
What an idiot.

Speaker 1 (46:04):
I want to know if there was a picture involved
as well.

Speaker 5 (46:07):
Oh, no.

Speaker 2 (46:08):
That is Franklin.

Speaker 3 (46:10):
Good news, guys.

Speaker 6 (46:11):
We've had a text in. It says, guys, guys, guys,
it's daylight in Southland. So we've cleared that all up, okay?
Daylight everywhere right now.

Speaker 3 (46:18):
Everyone's getting the benefit.

Speaker 1 (46:19):
Everybody gets the benefit.

Speaker 3 (46:20):
Which is great. We do love spring. Look, I made
a very bad error today. I thought I was texting
my fiancé. Turns out I wasn't texting my fiancé.

Speaker 1 (46:35):
Uh-oh.

Speaker 7 (46:37):
And I was texting not just– A friend of mine,
but a friend of mine who is also famous.

Speaker 5 (46:46):
Oh.

Speaker 3 (46:46):
And someone who I adore and love very much.

Speaker 9 (46:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (46:49):
So, look, full transparency. I need to set up.

Speaker 1 (46:52):
It wasn't Ursula Carlson, was it?

Speaker 3 (46:54):
No, it wasn't.

Speaker 6 (46:55):
You weren't sending steamy text to Ursula Carlson. She would
lap it up.

Speaker 7 (46:58):
It's not a steamy text. It wasn't a steamy text.
It's worse, in my opinion.

Speaker 3 (47:03):
Okay. It's like a soppy, sappy text.

Speaker 1 (47:06):
Oh, Ursula Carlson would not appreciate that.

Speaker 3 (47:08):
She would have ripped me a new one.

Speaker 1 (47:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (47:11):
So, look, full transparency.

Speaker 7 (47:12):
Obviously, in our household, we have a six-week-old newborn.

Speaker 1 (47:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (47:20):
So, a lot of changes happening in our household, good
days and bad days.

Speaker 3 (47:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (47:26):
It's an amazing thing becoming a parent for the first time,
but it's also hard.

Speaker 1 (47:31):
It's a rollercoaster.

Speaker 3 (47:32):
It is a rollercoaster of emotions.

Speaker 7 (47:34):
And I've been doing everything I can to look after
my fiance, Sophia, and our son, Toto. I've just been
doing everything I can to support her, which has meant,
I think, my mental health has It's gone a little
bit by the wayside. So I've had a couple of
bad days here and there.

Speaker 6 (47:52):
Understandable, yeah.

Speaker 11 (47:53):
Right?

Speaker 7 (47:54):
Anyway, my partner has identified that. And a huge thing
for me is an act of service. And today I
was super stressed and I was like, I need to
do this and I've got so much to do because
I'd woken up early and I'd taken Toto out of
the room so she could sleep. And so I've been,
you know– I had the baby all morning. I was

(48:14):
trying to keep him quiet so I didn't have time
to do all this other stuff. Anyway, she's recognised that
and she has made my lunch for me.

Speaker 1 (48:21):
That's so nice.

Speaker 3 (48:22):
Which is like a huge thing for.

Speaker 6 (48:23):
Me, you know.

Speaker 3 (48:25):
And I didn't realise she'd done that.

Speaker 7 (48:26):
She's gone and took Toto for a play date with
some of her friends and I was like stressed and
I was like, oh, my lunch.

Speaker 3 (48:35):
And I've opened the fridge and here's my lunch sitting
for me.

Speaker 12 (48:37):
Oh, man.

Speaker 3 (48:37):
It's really sweet and I cried.

Speaker 1 (48:41):
I get it.

Speaker 3 (48:42):
I had a little cry and I was like, that's
so nice. And so. I'm meant to be making you lunch.
I said I'm meant to be looking after you. And
I felt very, yeah, very seen. And anyway, I was
running late.

Speaker 7 (48:54):
So I got in the car and as I was
walking to work, I was like, I'm going to send
her a nice message to tell her how much I
appreciate it.

Speaker 5 (49:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (49:03):
And so I opened up my phone and do you
want to hear what the text was?

Speaker 6 (49:08):
Yeah, go on.

Speaker 5 (49:09):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (49:10):
So the text was, where is it? There's been a
few back and forths now.

Speaker 5 (49:17):
So I....

Speaker 7 (49:20):
I said, when I saw that you'd made my lunch today,
I cried. Thank you so much. It means the world
to me.

Speaker 3 (49:28):
I love you. So I sent that text.

Speaker 6 (49:30):
That's nice.

Speaker 3 (49:31):
To the point.

Speaker 7 (49:33):
And as I've sent it, I've looked back at the
top of the message and realised that that I had
actually text.

Speaker 3 (49:44):
Kaylee Bell.

Speaker 1 (49:56):
They're so good.

Speaker 3 (50:00):
Immediately panicked. I was like, how do I attend this?
Why did you send it to Kaylee Bell? Because I
had been texting Kaylee.

Speaker 6 (50:08):
Her name isn't even close to Sophia in the dictionary.

Speaker 3 (50:11):
Not even close, but she.

Speaker 7 (50:13):
I had been texting her this morning about something else,
so she was first in my text list.

Speaker 3 (50:17):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (50:18):
And I.

Speaker 3 (50:20):
My brain, I'm just so tired.

Speaker 1 (50:22):
You've got Kaylee Bell on the brain.

Speaker 3 (50:23):
Well, Kaylee Bell literally boots it all. Oh, that's so good.

Speaker 7 (50:27):
And so I've just automatically, because normally my partner's at
the top, so I've opened up the text conversation and
sent it to her.

Speaker 1 (50:34):
What did Kaylee Bell say?

Speaker 5 (50:35):
Um.

Speaker 3 (50:37):
Kaylee Bell was.

Speaker 7 (50:38):
Really nice because I fully panicked and was like, how embarrassing?

Speaker 3 (50:43):
And I was like, how do I unsend it? How
do I unsend it?

Speaker 7 (50:46):
And after like five minutes, I realized you can unsend it.

Speaker 3 (50:50):
Oh, okay. And so I've unsent it, but then it
says in the text.

Speaker 1 (50:54):
Thing, you unsent a message.

Speaker 6 (50:56):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 7 (50:56):
And then she was like, did you just unsend something?
And then she said, I didn't see anyway. I was
deep in a week's worth of washing. And I have
the feeling that she has seen it. She's just trying
to make you feel better.

Speaker 3 (51:09):
Because that's the type of person she is.

Speaker 6 (51:11):
It could have been so much worse. I'm sure there
are messages that you would much rather. you would much
less rather you had sent to KRL, you know?

Speaker 3 (51:21):
At least it wasn't like, I mean, what would you rather?
I feel like a raunchy text, devastating. Also like where
you're having a fight or an argument, like if you send.

Speaker 6 (51:31):
Oh, that's awful as well. The one that I've fallen
for in the past is sending a message that was
intended for my partner. To a friend, but in there abused.

Speaker 3 (51:41):
Talking about them?

Speaker 13 (51:42):
No, no.

Speaker 6 (51:44):
Using their cutesy only between us two that no one
else is meant to ever hear.

Speaker 9 (51:49):
Nickname?

Speaker 6 (51:51):
I sent it to the wrong person.

Speaker 3 (51:52):
Wait, what's the nickname?

Speaker 6 (51:53):
No, I'm not going to tell you.

Speaker 3 (51:54):
What's the nickname?

Speaker 6 (51:55):
No, I'll never tell you. I'll never tell you, but
I sent it to probably the worst person. I sent
it to Drew Nemia. And he ripped me something chronic
for it.

Speaker 3 (52:05):
Producer Claude? Actually, no, it's all right.

Speaker 7 (52:08):
I'm going to message Drew Niemeyer and see if he
remembers what the nickname was.

Speaker 6 (52:12):
We want to know from you guys. On our 100
Dials at M, it's a classic. It's happened to everybody.
Did you send the message to the wrong person? And
what was the message?

Speaker 9 (52:21):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (52:22):
What did it contain and who did you send it to?

Speaker 5 (52:23):
Okay.

Speaker 15 (52:23):
Like.

Speaker 7 (52:25):
I've just thought about it. You know, when you're thinking
about someone and you're bitching about them.

Speaker 12 (52:29):
Yes.

Speaker 3 (52:30):
And let's say. That is the.

Speaker 7 (52:31):
And then you automatically, your brain sends it to that person.
Or you send a screenshot of the message.

Speaker 3 (52:36):
Oh, even worse.

Speaker 1 (52:37):
The conversation with that person to the person.

Speaker 3 (52:40):
Yeah. The worst. So bad.

Speaker 1 (52:41):
So tell us about it. Vint, get it off your chest.

Speaker 2 (52:45):
Zed in's brain cleanse.

Speaker 6 (52:47):
So we want to know, who did the message accidentally
go to? Sam's here.

Speaker 3 (52:50):
Hey, Sam. Hi, Sam.

Speaker 10 (52:52):
Hello.

Speaker 6 (52:53):
What happened, mate?

Speaker 14 (52:55):
So bear in mind, I was 21 at the time.

Speaker 3 (52:57):
Okay.

Speaker 14 (52:58):
A guy asked me on a date and I was
a little bit self-absorbed and I wanted to decline because
I found out he had no hair.

Speaker 1 (53:08):
Okay, yeah.

Speaker 14 (53:09):
So me and my best friend had a Snapchat story
that only each other could see.

Speaker 6 (53:13):
Oh, no.

Speaker 14 (53:14):
And we sent vlogs to each other. I posted it.
To my main story about how I didn't want to
go on a date with this guy because he had
no fear.

Speaker 16 (53:23):
Oh, no.

Speaker 3 (53:24):
Did he see it?

Speaker 14 (53:24):
And I was going to fake having COVID. He saw it.

Speaker 5 (53:28):
No. Oh.

Speaker 7 (53:31):
Please tell me in like a full circle then you
felt bad so you went out on a date and now.

Speaker 3 (53:35):
You've been together for years.

Speaker 1 (53:35):
No, you don't go on a date with someone because
you feel bad.

Speaker 14 (53:38):
No, I just let him go to me.

Speaker 1 (53:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (53:40):
But, hey, it was a teaching moment because I can
hear the remorse in your voice, Sam. So, you know.

Speaker 5 (53:45):
Yes.

Speaker 3 (53:45):
And that's the main thing, Sam.

Speaker 1 (53:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (53:48):
Is that these are all learnings.

Speaker 14 (53:49):
First time caller.

Speaker 11 (53:51):
And?

Speaker 13 (53:53):
Long.

Speaker 14 (53:54):
Oh, long time listener.

Speaker 2 (53:55):
There you go.

Speaker 5 (53:56):
First time caller.

Speaker 16 (53:56):
First time caller.

Speaker 1 (54:01):
Thanks, Sammy. We appreciate it.

Speaker 6 (54:03):
Let's go to Anonymous. Hi, Anonymous.

Speaker 3 (54:04):
Hi, Anonymous.

Speaker 9 (54:06):
Hi.

Speaker 1 (54:07):
The text went to the wrong person, Anonymous. Give us
the details.

Speaker 12 (54:11):
So I had just started recently seeing a guy and
we were sending some playful messages.

Speaker 3 (54:17):
Fun.

Speaker 12 (54:17):
You know, the day before.

Speaker 5 (54:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 12 (54:18):
And I went to send him a raunchy message with
a photo, half naked photo.

Speaker 5 (54:23):
Oh.

Speaker 12 (54:23):
Top or bottom half?

Speaker 3 (54:24):
Top or bottom half?

Speaker 12 (54:27):
Full body, but with lingerie on.

Speaker 3 (54:30):
Okay, yeah.

Speaker 12 (54:31):
Completely naked.

Speaker 13 (54:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 12 (54:32):
And I sent it to a group of my staff.
And I was the general manager.

Speaker 3 (54:40):
You were the general manager.

Speaker 7 (54:41):
You didn't just send it to one person. You sent
it to the whole staff.

Speaker 12 (54:45):
No, it was a group of five of like, you know,
a group chat that we had. And luckily, they were
people I had very good relationships with.

Speaker 3 (54:55):
But it was the middle of a work day.

Speaker 14 (54:57):
I could see them all receive it because we had.

Speaker 12 (54:59):
Glass partition doors.

Speaker 3 (55:00):
And one was in.

Speaker 12 (55:02):
A meeting like online and I could see their faces
and I had to call them. Into a meeting and, like,
explain and apologise.

Speaker 6 (55:10):
Anonymous. How much did you just want the ground to
open up and swallow you whole in that moment, right?

Speaker 12 (55:19):
It was so awkward. It couldn't have been more awkward
than that.

Speaker 3 (55:22):
Did anyone reply to the text?

Speaker 12 (55:26):
I didn't really give them a chance and managed to
get some of them to delete.

Speaker 3 (55:30):
It before opening it. Emergency meeting! Emergency meeting! No one
look at your phone!

Speaker 12 (55:33):
Pretty much, that's exactly what I had to do.

Speaker 6 (55:35):
I want to know, because it's a real vibe killer,
but did you ever end up sending the raunchy photo
to the person that you were dating?

Speaker 3 (55:40):
Because you've gone to all this trouble to take the picture.

Speaker 4 (55:42):
No, and.

Speaker 11 (55:43):
No.

Speaker 12 (55:43):
And then after that, I was like, I'm never doing
that again. Like, I'm not risking that ever again.

Speaker 3 (55:48):
You poor thing, Anonymous.

Speaker 12 (55:50):
In good news, I'm still good friends with all of
those people and they give me a lot of grief
about it. It's a longstanding joke these days.

Speaker 3 (55:57):
Hey, well, at least you can laugh about it. That's
the main thing.

Speaker 1 (56:01):
I saw Bree's Wanchi photos on her phone once.

Speaker 3 (56:04):
Why are we bringing this up again? Don't listen to him.

Speaker 6 (56:08):
Brie opened her photo gallery, her camera roll.

Speaker 3 (56:11):
Clint's making up stories again. No, I saw them. Funny joke.

Speaker 14 (56:15):
I was trying to make Brie feel bitter. I'm not trying.

Speaker 3 (56:17):
To make her feel worse. Maggie's dragged me down into
this as well, Anonymous.

Speaker 6 (56:24):
The message go to the wrong person. Someone said, I
did that just now. I vented about my mother-in-law and
then I sent it to her. Devastating and very awkward
the next time we see each other. The mother-in-law is
so awkward.

Speaker 3 (56:39):
It might be one of the worst to accidentally send
it to them. Would you rather send a.

Speaker 6 (56:43):
Vent about the mother-in-law to the mother-in-law or would you
rather send a raunchy message to the mother-in-law?

Speaker 3 (56:47):
Raunchy.

Speaker 9 (56:49):
100%.

Speaker 3 (56:49):
Because you can come back from that.

Speaker 6 (56:50):
Yeah, true, there's no malice, is there?

Speaker 3 (56:52):
Nah, it's just like, oh, whoops, you can laugh about it.
What about this?

Speaker 7 (56:55):
I just sent a photo of my speeding fine to
my mum who absolutely ripped me.

Speaker 3 (57:02):
As it was supposed to go to my partner.

Speaker 5 (57:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (57:05):
Oh, no.

Speaker 6 (57:06):
I sent a Snapchat of my now wife with her
dressing gown open flashing me to her family's Snapchat group.
Genuine mistake, but boy, there were some reactions. Who were
you meant to Snapchat it to?

Speaker 3 (57:21):
Yeah, who were you going to send that to?

Speaker 1 (57:22):
If you've taken the photo of her, who were you
meant to Snapchat it to?

Speaker 10 (57:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (57:26):
Hi, guys.

Speaker 6 (57:26):
I need to be anonymous. I was texting my boyfriend
at the time about how much I loved the thing
we did that morning. Turns out I was actually texting
my roommate.

Speaker 3 (57:38):
She said, oh, really?

Speaker 1 (57:39):
I didn't know that we had that kind of relationship.
I was so embarrassed.

Speaker 3 (57:44):
Yeah, it's so awkward because then they would have been like, oh,
I was here this morning.

Speaker 5 (57:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (57:49):
I know what you guys were doing.

Speaker 6 (57:50):
We didn't do that.

Speaker 7 (57:52):
So many people texting through. Someone else said, what about
when you send the email to all staff?

Speaker 1 (57:58):
I did that recently.

Speaker 3 (58:00):
It's so embarrassing. What did you send all staff?

Speaker 6 (58:05):
It was about our friend who was leaving and there
were some leaving drinks. And I said, and they said
that there'll be a tab open from four till six.
And I think I said, make sure there's still a
tab at seven because the Brian Clint show will be
arriving thirsty.

Speaker 1 (58:23):
And I replied all by mistake.

Speaker 6 (58:26):
And about six people went, hey, you know, there's like
management and shit on this email.

Speaker 3 (58:32):
Everyone's like, oh, boomer Clint at it again.

Speaker 1 (58:36):
So buy your own drinks, Clint, you tight ass.

Speaker 2 (58:38):
Z & M' s Bree and Clint podcast.

Speaker 3 (58:40):
Bree and Clint.

Speaker 2 (58:41):
All I want for my birthday is a birthday banger.

Speaker 3 (58:44):
Birthday bangers.

Speaker 7 (58:46):
This is our birthday banger laboratory where we figure out
your birthday bangers.

Speaker 6 (58:51):
Yeah, we're mixing up birthday bangers.

Speaker 3 (58:54):
That's right.

Speaker 6 (58:55):
We're concocting bangers.

Speaker 3 (58:59):
With our Bunsen burners.

Speaker 6 (59:01):
Yeah, and our beakers.

Speaker 3 (59:03):
And our test tubes.

Speaker 1 (59:04):
And our flasks. And our pita re-dishes. Very good, that's
enough puns. Let's go to Kat.

Speaker 6 (59:09):
Hi, Kat.

Speaker 2 (59:10):
Hi, Kat.

Speaker 1 (59:11):
Hi.

Speaker 3 (59:12):
How's your day been, Kat?

Speaker 14 (59:14):
Oh, not too bad, thank you. I'm so excited to
be on Birthday Banger.

Speaker 11 (59:18):
I love this segment.

Speaker 15 (59:20):
Oh, nice.

Speaker 14 (59:20):
Love you guys.

Speaker 3 (59:21):
Oh, well, we're excited to have you, Kat. That's such
a lovely compliment. Hey, what is your birthday, Kat?

Speaker 12 (59:28):
My birthday is the 15th of February, 1983. I reckon you're.

Speaker 3 (59:31):
Destined for a great one.

Speaker 1 (59:32):
I want everyone to get a good one, but I
really want Kat to get a good one.

Speaker 2 (59:35):
Me too.

Speaker 3 (59:35):
That means you were 16, Kat. Yes, come on. In 1999,
she loves this segment. Let's hope for a goodie.

Speaker 2 (59:43):
Oh, come on.

Speaker 3 (59:45):
Come on.

Speaker 13 (59:45):
Let's go, Kat.

Speaker 3 (59:46):
Come on. Come on. Come on, Kat.

Speaker 5 (59:50):
It's a banger.

Speaker 3 (59:52):
It's a banger, Kat. You've got to be happy with that.

Speaker 1 (59:56):
That's worth the wait.

Speaker 14 (59:57):
I'm very happy.

Speaker 3 (59:58):
Good. You're in the lead. Wait there, okay?

Speaker 1 (01:00:02):
We're going to do Harriet's mum's birthday banger.

Speaker 3 (01:00:04):
Hi, Harriet. Hi, Harriet. Hi. How old are you, Harriet?

Speaker 14 (01:00:08):
I'm 10.

Speaker 3 (01:00:08):
You're 10.

Speaker 7 (01:00:09):
Okay, so a bit young to do your birthday banger yet,
but you're here to do mum's.

Speaker 3 (01:00:13):
What's her birthday?

Speaker 10 (01:00:14):
Yeah, 19th of September, 1984.

Speaker 7 (01:00:17):
Oh, it's coming up, that means. Your mum was 16, though, Harriet,
in the year 2000, and let her know that this
is her birthday banger.

Speaker 6 (01:00:32):
Another banger.

Speaker 3 (01:00:33):
It's a bop from the Bomb Funk MCs. Does Mum
like it, Harriet?

Speaker 10 (01:00:40):
Yeah, she says it's all right.

Speaker 3 (01:00:44):
She's on the fence. What's Mum's name, Harriet?

Speaker 10 (01:00:47):
Emily.

Speaker 3 (01:00:48):
Emily. Okay. Very good. Wait there. You could be our winner.
We'll go to Devon. Hi, Devon. Hi, Devon.

Speaker 5 (01:00:54):
Hi.

Speaker 4 (01:00:54):
How are you?

Speaker 3 (01:00:55):
Good, Devon. How's your day been? Fantastic.

Speaker 14 (01:00:58):
Thank you.

Speaker 3 (01:00:59):
Good to hear. What is your birthday?

Speaker 14 (01:01:01):
27th of May, 2001.

Speaker 3 (01:01:03):
All right. That's easy math for me. You were 16
in 2017. And back on your 16th birthday, this was
at the top. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
Remember DJ Khaled? Yes, this was a tune.

Speaker 6 (01:01:17):
We were stuck in a DJ Khaled time warp when
this came out, and this was huge.

Speaker 3 (01:01:23):
What do you reckon, Devon?

Speaker 14 (01:01:24):
It's very grey, isn't it? I think I like cats better, though.

Speaker 3 (01:01:29):
Yeah, same.

Speaker 6 (01:01:31):
This was a crazy song, though. It was DJ Khaled,
Justin Bieber, Quavo, Chance the Rapper, and Lil Wayne.

Speaker 3 (01:01:37):
Yeah, like how many people did they want on the
damn song?

Speaker 12 (01:01:40):
It's very Gemini, isn't it?

Speaker 14 (01:01:42):
Very Gemini.

Speaker 3 (01:01:43):
Very much so.

Speaker 1 (01:01:44):
It feels like quantity over quality.

Speaker 12 (01:01:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:01:47):
Just throw them all on there. Put them all on there.

Speaker 1 (01:01:48):
It'll have to be a hit.

Speaker 3 (01:01:50):
I'm going with Kat.

Speaker 1 (01:01:51):
I'm going with Kat too. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:01:53):
After she said she loved the segment, but not only that.

Speaker 1 (01:01:56):
Not only because of that.

Speaker 3 (01:01:57):
She had a fantastic birthday banger. Kat, you've just won
birthday banger. Yes, hey!

Speaker 8 (01:02:02):
Woo-hoo!

Speaker 12 (01:02:02):
Yes!

Speaker 3 (01:02:03):
Yes! And we appreciate you listening, Kat. Worth the wait.

Speaker 6 (01:02:09):
Here's Brittany from 1999 on ZM with Bree and Clint.

Speaker 3 (01:02:12):
Oh, baby, baby, how was I supposed to know?

Speaker 2 (01:02:19):
The ZM Podcast Network.

Speaker 3 (01:02:22):
It's a Tuesday, and you know the tradition. On a Tuesday,
we go searching for a name in a haystack. Hardest
game in radio.

Speaker 6 (01:02:31):
We got super excited last week that we were going
to do it on the $ 4, 000 round.

Speaker 3 (01:02:35):
But it wasn't to be.

Speaker 6 (01:02:37):
It's just because God doesn't want us to win it yet.

Speaker 3 (01:02:39):
No, he wants us to really earn it.

Speaker 6 (01:02:42):
Does he want us to win on Ella's final ever
name in a haystack?

Speaker 1 (01:02:46):
Ella, you've been a part of this since the start.

Speaker 13 (01:02:48):
2024.

Speaker 2 (01:02:48):
Wouldn't that be special?

Speaker 3 (01:02:51):
What a lovely send-off that would be for you.

Speaker 2 (01:02:53):
That would be a radio highlight for sure.

Speaker 6 (01:02:55):
Imagine if you leave and then whoever replaces you, they
win it on their first week.

Speaker 3 (01:03:00):
And they haven't earned it. No, they haven't earned it,
but they're like, what are you guys talking about? This
game's easy. Piece of piss.

Speaker 6 (01:03:05):
Well, it is what it is. You're going to help
us achieve it this week.

Speaker 3 (01:03:08):
Okay.

Speaker 6 (01:03:08):
We're going to give away, so the concept, guys, random
name selected by one producer, which this week will be Ella.

Speaker 12 (01:03:13):
Yes.

Speaker 6 (01:03:14):
Random business selected by the other producer, which this week
is Claudia. We then call that business. If that name
answers today, they'll win $ 4, 050.

Speaker 9 (01:03:21):
Ooh la la.

Speaker 11 (01:03:22):
Damn.

Speaker 3 (01:03:25):
So, Ella?

Speaker 2 (01:03:26):
So, I've been notoriously really.

Speaker 15 (01:03:28):
Bad at the names.

Speaker 2 (01:03:29):
What?

Speaker 3 (01:03:30):
Oh, no. Not you.

Speaker 2 (01:03:32):
Where did you get that from?

Speaker 10 (01:03:33):
You guys hit that.

Speaker 3 (01:03:33):
What? That's crazy, man.

Speaker 2 (01:03:35):
I'm going to end.

Speaker 3 (01:03:36):
On a bang.

Speaker 4 (01:03:37):
I'm just going to do it after one of my
favourite artists.

Speaker 6 (01:03:40):
Ezekiel. Ezekiel.

Speaker 2 (01:03:41):
No. Role model.

Speaker 3 (01:03:43):
Little Nas X. How did you know?

Speaker 6 (01:03:46):
Sumber.

Speaker 4 (01:03:46):
No, I feel like this is fine, but I'm looking
for Billy after Billie Eilish.

Speaker 2 (01:03:50):
I'm happy with Billy.

Speaker 6 (01:03:51):
Is that okay?

Speaker 3 (01:03:51):
Billy's cute. Billy's good. Billy can be a boy or
a girl. Billy is androgynous.

Speaker 5 (01:03:55):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (01:03:55):
You guys get too happy with that.

Speaker 3 (01:03:57):
The second name of my son, I'll just point out.

Speaker 10 (01:03:59):
Oh, true.

Speaker 12 (01:03:59):
What?

Speaker 2 (01:04:00):
Oh, yeah. I thought you meant another sun's coming. Your
second sun.

Speaker 6 (01:04:04):
The name of my second sun.

Speaker 3 (01:04:07):
Okay, Claudia, where does Billy work?

Speaker 15 (01:04:09):
We hope that Billy works at the Stardome Observatory in Auckland.

Speaker 3 (01:04:14):
What is the Stardome?

Speaker 2 (01:04:16):
Have you not been?

Speaker 3 (01:04:17):
No. It's a big telescope in Cornwall Park.

Speaker 1 (01:04:20):
And you get to be.

Speaker 15 (01:04:21):
In these 4D chairs where they show you how the
universe looks.

Speaker 2 (01:04:23):
It's so cool.

Speaker 3 (01:04:24):
It's amazing. It's cool. We're not selling it to you.

Speaker 8 (01:04:27):
Yeah, no.

Speaker 3 (01:04:28):
Okay, I'm going to go this weekend. Can't wait for
our field trip. Kids go there on school trips.

Speaker 9 (01:04:31):
Fun.

Speaker 3 (01:04:31):
People go there on edibles. It's great. It's got something
for all.

Speaker 6 (01:04:36):
Claudia, please connect us to the Stardome Observatory in Auckland,
where if Billy answers the phone, they'll win.

Speaker 3 (01:04:43):
$ 4, 050. Here we go.

Speaker 1 (01:04:45):
Good luck, everybody.

Speaker 9 (01:04:45):
Good luck.

Speaker 3 (01:04:46):
Good luck, Ella.

Speaker 6 (01:04:51):
Kia ora, Te Whaitu Stardome.

Speaker 16 (01:04:52):
You're speaking with Theo.

Speaker 3 (01:04:55):
Hi, Theo. It's Bree and Clint calling from ZM.

Speaker 5 (01:04:57):
How are you?

Speaker 3 (01:04:58):
Hi, Theo. Yeah, not too bad. How are you guys? Yeah, good.
Thank you.

Speaker 6 (01:05:01):
We got a silly old game that we play on
this show, Theo, where we call random places and we
try and pick the name of the person that's going
to answer the phone. And we picked you guys out
today and the name that we chose was Billy.

Speaker 3 (01:05:14):
I hate to disappoint.

Speaker 6 (01:05:16):
Yeah, I know.

Speaker 3 (01:05:17):
No Billy's work there, Theo? No, sorry.

Speaker 6 (01:05:20):
I hate to disappoint you, but if your name was Billy,
you would have won four grand.

Speaker 3 (01:05:25):
That's a shame. You've really disappointed him now.

Speaker 5 (01:05:28):
No, no.

Speaker 3 (01:05:30):
I'll have to let my parents know that they let
me down today.

Speaker 5 (01:05:34):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:05:34):
Yeah, she goes way back to them. They let you down.

Speaker 1 (01:05:36):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:05:37):
Exactly.

Speaker 6 (01:05:38):
Ask if Billy was in the consideration list for names.
But all right, we appreciate you. Thank you for your time.

Speaker 3 (01:05:43):
Thanks, Theo.

Speaker 10 (01:05:44):
No worries at all.

Speaker 6 (01:05:45):
Catch you later. See ya. Theo sounds lovely.

Speaker 3 (01:05:47):
At least he had a cool name, you know?

Speaker 6 (01:05:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:05:50):
You can't be mad at Theo. That's a cool name. Oh, Ella.

Speaker 4 (01:05:54):
I'll just be a normal listener listening to the radio.

Speaker 3 (01:05:57):
Can we please?

Speaker 6 (01:05:59):
Going, this game's stupid.

Speaker 3 (01:06:00):
I've just had an idea.

Speaker 9 (01:06:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:06:02):
When.

Speaker 7 (01:06:03):
I'm speaking like I'm being positive. When this game does
go off, and it will, someone eventually has to win.

Speaker 9 (01:06:11):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:06:12):
Can we throw a celebratory party?

Speaker 2 (01:06:15):
It kind of has to happen.

Speaker 3 (01:06:16):
Because I feel like we deserve it, and obviously Ella
will be invited.

Speaker 6 (01:06:18):
No, you know what we need to do?

Speaker 3 (01:06:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:06:20):
We need to go and deliver a novelty check.

Speaker 3 (01:06:22):
Oh!

Speaker 6 (01:06:22):
An enormous novelty check.

Speaker 3 (01:06:24):
And does that novelty check come with a party?

Speaker 2 (01:06:26):
Can we do it in a barn, like a hoedown?

Speaker 3 (01:06:28):
Oh! I'm keen.

Speaker 2 (01:06:30):
Can you get a miniature party?

Speaker 3 (01:06:31):
I just think when you work.

Speaker 7 (01:06:32):
So hard for something, you deserve to.

Speaker 3 (01:06:34):
Celebrate when you finally get a result.

Speaker 2 (01:06:37):
Oh, my gosh, I'll be the moor at the party.
I can do a really good move.

Speaker 3 (01:06:40):
Okay, maybe we don't have to invite Ellen. No, she'll
be gone. We'll try again next week.

Speaker 6 (01:06:46):
Next, though, there's a new version of, remember the micro-wave?

Speaker 16 (01:06:50):
But I still need a bit of milk, full fat,
which I've warmed in the micro-wave.

Speaker 3 (01:06:56):
How could we forget? There's a new micro-wave.

Speaker 6 (01:06:59):
And by that, I mean a new way to pronounce
a word that we've all been saying forever.

Speaker 3 (01:07:05):
I'm keen to hear it.

Speaker 1 (01:07:06):
This time it's Spider-Man who has changed the saying.

Speaker 3 (01:07:09):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (01:07:09):
And we'll hear about it after Stella Lefty.

Speaker 2 (01:07:12):
It's ZM's Brie and Clint podcast.

Speaker 6 (01:07:15):
Sorry if that was a shock before and you haven't
heard the news. I've been drip feeding it in that
Ella is leaving. This is her last week on the show.
Someone just said, where the hell is producer Ella going?
Her resignation is declined.

Speaker 3 (01:07:26):
Yeah, so... Ellie, you're going to have to go and
tell management.

Speaker 9 (01:07:31):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (01:07:31):
I'll do that right now.

Speaker 1 (01:07:33):
You'll have to unclear out your desk.

Speaker 2 (01:07:35):
That'd be nice.

Speaker 5 (01:07:35):
Okay.

Speaker 6 (01:07:36):
Hey, remember when Nigella Lawson reinvented the name for the
microwave a couple of years ago?

Speaker 16 (01:07:41):
I still need a bit of milk, full fat, which
I've warmed in the microwave.

Speaker 7 (01:07:48):
I would argue that we got it wrong. And it
shouldn't be called microwave. And she got it right.

Speaker 1 (01:07:55):
If anyone would know, it's celebrity chef Nigella Lawson.

Speaker 3 (01:07:58):
It's just a more fun way to say microwave.

Speaker 6 (01:08:01):
It did kind of catch on too. Like from time
to time, we will refer to it as the microwave.
Now there is a new star trying to change the
way that we say another very common word.

Speaker 1 (01:08:12):
And this time it's Spider-Man.

Speaker 3 (01:08:15):
Tom Holland?

Speaker 1 (01:08:16):
No, Spider-Man.

Speaker 6 (01:08:18):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (01:08:20):
As in the character?

Speaker 5 (01:08:21):
No.

Speaker 1 (01:08:22):
Spider-Man.

Speaker 3 (01:08:24):
Spider-Man's not a real person.

Speaker 1 (01:08:26):
Andrew Garfield, okay?

Speaker 11 (01:08:27):
Oh.

Speaker 1 (01:08:27):
I was trying to get you to go through all
the Spider-Mans.

Speaker 6 (01:08:30):
Andrew Garfield was asked in an interview what his opinion
is of people getting Botox.

Speaker 1 (01:08:36):
And this is what he said.

Speaker 8 (01:08:38):
I want to tread a bit carefully here because I
have obviously a very particular... belief that it would be
great if we lived in a society where no one
felt the pressure to do anything to the faches. But unfortunately,
I understand that we are in a society where there
is a pressure to do stuff to the faches, especially
for the women.

Speaker 3 (01:08:54):
To the what?

Speaker 1 (01:08:55):
To the faches.

Speaker 3 (01:08:57):
Is he trying to say face? F-A-C-E Faches. Faces.

Speaker 6 (01:09:02):
Faches. According to Andrew Garfield.

Speaker 3 (01:09:05):
I hate it.

Speaker 1 (01:09:05):
I hate it too.

Speaker 3 (01:09:06):
I hate it so much. Yeah. Did you hear? I
feel like he said women at the end.

Speaker 6 (01:09:10):
He said vimen. Vimen.

Speaker 3 (01:09:12):
Quite weird.

Speaker 1 (01:09:13):
Yeah, he did.

Speaker 9 (01:09:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:09:13):
You can't change two words in one interview. Pick a
word and try and change that.

Speaker 8 (01:09:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:09:17):
Or else it gets way too confusing.

Speaker 6 (01:09:19):
Also, people in the comments were like, don't you have
a go at Botox when you've had a hair transplant?

Speaker 3 (01:09:27):
I was like, Jesus. Hurry up.

Speaker 7 (01:09:31):
Poor Andrew Garfield just out here trying to support people
ageing naturally.

Speaker 4 (01:09:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:09:37):
Gets torn a new one.

Speaker 1 (01:09:38):
Well, can't we just take him at fart shave value?

Speaker 9 (01:09:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:09:41):
I don't know if fart shaves is going to catch on.

Speaker 3 (01:09:44):
I don't think it'll catch on. And that's the end
of the Brian Clint show.

Speaker 6 (01:09:50):
I'm excited because there's a fresh episode of Colin from
Accounts on tonight.

Speaker 3 (01:09:53):
It's the last one, I believe.

Speaker 6 (01:09:54):
It's the final episode ever, which is bittersweet, but I'm
excited for it. Might start the show again from the start.

Speaker 3 (01:10:00):
You should.

Speaker 6 (01:10:00):
And just skip season two.

Speaker 3 (01:10:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (01:10:03):
I saw that the two main characters spoke out about
when they filmed the last episode.

Speaker 6 (01:10:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (01:10:12):
And- The director, once they had called a wrap, was like,
that's it, that's a wrap on Colin from Accounts.

Speaker 5 (01:10:20):
Yep.

Speaker 3 (01:10:21):
And how everyone in the room just felt real sad. Yeah,
you would.

Speaker 9 (01:10:25):
Yep.

Speaker 7 (01:10:26):
Because I feel like three seasons, you're not at the
point where you're like, oh, we know we've done it all.

Speaker 13 (01:10:32):
No.

Speaker 3 (01:10:33):
I wonder why they decided it was three seasons.

Speaker 6 (01:10:36):
I actually heard them speak about this because the two
main characters from Colin from Accounts, excluding Colin the dog.

Speaker 3 (01:10:42):
Mm-hmm. there are a couple in the show, they're husband
and wife in real life. Wait, the two main characters,
are they together in real life? Yeah, did you not
know that? Are they? Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:10:53):
So they are married. It's been a project that they
have written and created together. This final season, I don't
know if it's been the way the whole way through,
but this last season, they had turnabout writing each episode.

Speaker 11 (01:11:05):
Right.

Speaker 6 (01:11:06):
So she wrote one, he wrote one, she wrote one,
he wrote one. And they said to them, this show
is fantastic. If you were offered a crazy amount of money,
Would you continue with it? And they both said no.
They said no, no. It's enough.

Speaker 3 (01:11:17):
Yeah, well, that's what the people from Ted Lasso said too.

Speaker 1 (01:11:19):
Oh, and they should have stopped.

Speaker 3 (01:11:22):
You're so mean. They should have. How many episodes did
you watch?

Speaker 5 (01:11:28):
Three.

Speaker 3 (01:11:29):
No, you didn't. I did.

Speaker 2 (01:11:30):
Did you actually?

Speaker 5 (01:11:31):
I did.

Speaker 1 (01:11:31):
I watched three episodes, yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:11:33):
And you hated it.

Speaker 6 (01:11:34):
It's the worst decision they ever made.

Speaker 3 (01:11:36):
I should have left it.

Speaker 6 (01:11:37):
It was fantastic. And I ruined it. Anyway. Coming from accounts,
TVNZ Plus.

Speaker 3 (01:11:44):
Go watch that tonight.

Speaker 7 (01:11:45):
Definitely don't watch that awful Ted Lasso reboot, though.

Speaker 1 (01:11:49):
Your words, not mine.
