Weirdly, because it's either that or you just give up.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
Right, Okay, calm down doing all these big TV roles.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
It's the next real progress. Tell us what you feel No,
we're not doing this again today. Have you messed yesterday?

Speaker 1 (01:45):
The scores are looking pretty goods did we up?

Speaker 2 (01:49):
Did I update that yesterday? Hold on?

Speaker 1 (01:50):
I think it's fifty three fifty two?

Speaker 3 (01:52):
Yeah, we don't want to stiff the traders on their
win yesterday. Yes, fifty three to the Trade's God, they

Speaker 2 (02:19):
The trades catching those ladies.

Speaker 3 (02:21):
They're on fifty three, the ladies on fifty five, George.

Speaker 1 (02:25):
So we need two points over this week to get
them back in front. Can we do it? Let's find
out I reckon we should meet our lady fit today.
She is from Kaipoy, just out of christ Church, thirty
five years of age, and she used to be in
a traveling acrobatics team. Please welcome to the show, Kirsty.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
Hi, kirstyo Ors Georgia, says.

Speaker 3 (02:50):
Kirsty Curst a traveling acrobatics team.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
That's quite cool.

Speaker 3 (02:56):
What's the most impressive trick you can do?

Speaker 5 (02:59):
Are you?

Speaker 6 (03:00):
We used to ride three people high in a unicycle.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
What wait?

Speaker 4 (03:03):
What person?

Speaker 1 (03:04):
Would you?

Speaker 6 (03:04):
One?

Speaker 1 (03:04):
Two or three?

Speaker 2 (03:06):
I was three?

Speaker 3 (03:06):
Oh wow, so you were in the most precarious position.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
Then yes, that's amazing. What a cool fact. Oh no,
never had any accidents, no touch what wow?

Speaker 1 (03:19):
Are you still going at some sort of acrobatics or
giving up? No?

Speaker 5 (03:23):
Absolutely not.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
Kirsty's like I'm a lawyer now. Oh well, welcome to
the show. Good to have you. Who's she taking on?

Speaker 1 (03:32):
She has taken on today a trader from Geraldine. He's
thirty five and he once went to a school that
had four kids in total. Please welcome you and hi Ewan.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
That's four kids in total? Yeah, world, how many people
were in your grade?

Speaker 7 (03:52):
Uh? No? One? One? Wow?

Speaker 1 (03:55):
Wow?

Speaker 3 (03:56):
Because I can relate to this you and because I
went to a very small Imory school, but there was
four people in my grade. But to be the only
person in your grade, I mean, I guess you win everything.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
It's basically pt sessions.

Speaker 7 (04:08):
Really yeah, yeah, you were our to the verse.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
I probably didn't want much got on you Ewan.

Speaker 3 (04:15):
All right, guys, here's the rules. You and your buzzer
is Trady, Kirsty. Your buzzer is Lady. When you think
you know the answer, buzz in first to get three
correct takes home the fifty bucks.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
And the win for their team. Are we all ready? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (04:29):
Okay, guys, here we go. Question number one the Kiwi
legend Sir sam Neil sadly passed away yesterday. Name the
iconic nineteen ninety three film that he was in, Lady, Yes, Kirsty.

Speaker 6 (04:42):
Hunt for the World of People.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
No, Ewan, what a be dressic park?

Speaker 3 (04:48):
It would be Jurassic Park. The Hunt of the Wilder
People also an iconic role. But wasn't in nineteen ninety three?

Speaker 4 (04:54):
You were keeping it Kiwi there weren't you, Kirsty?

Speaker 8 (04:56):
We was?

Speaker 3 (04:57):
We move on to question two, one to the trades
in Shakespeare's Hamlet, What is the name of Hamlet's girlfriend.
Hint it was Yes, Kirsty Chiliet. It was a great
shot in the dark. Ewan, No, Ophelia is the answer.
I wouldn't have got that either.

Speaker 4 (05:19):
Taylor's help us, but we still wouldn't have got there.

Speaker 3 (05:21):
Yeah, no way, no points there. We move on to
question three. Buzz in when you can tell me who
sings this song? Yes, Ewan, it is Miley Cyrus. We
can't stop, we won't stop.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
Two to the trades. You're going, well, Kirsty, you need
this one to stay in it. I believe in you.

Speaker 3 (05:44):
Question number four, which body organ filters blood in humans?

Speaker 2 (05:52):
Yes? Ewan for the win Jimmy, he's got it and
that is a.

Speaker 3 (05:57):
Win for the trades, Kirsty. I feel like you're unlucky.
Callback anytime and play again.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
Okay, thank you, ew And you played a great game
and you came out on top. Fifty bucks coming your
way there.

Speaker 4 (06:14):
Or this is keeping it closer, and you've.

Speaker 3 (06:16):
Taken the trades to within one point, so that is exciting.

Speaker 2 (06:20):
Well done.

Speaker 1 (06:21):
Nice work, Ewen, very good. Thank you.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
You're welcome.

Speaker 1 (06:25):
Lazy teams.

Speaker 3 (06:26):
Brienkland, have you seen the latest story that's doing the
rounds about Greta Thunburg's sister.

Speaker 1 (06:33):
Didn't know she had one, and she also doesn't come
up with my algorithm.

Speaker 3 (06:37):
Gret Oh, if people need reminding, I mean she's a pretty,
you know, well known figure Swedish activist, Greta Thunburg.

Speaker 9 (06:48):
You'll come to us, young people for hope. How dare
you you have stolen my dreams in my childhood with
your empty words.

Speaker 1 (06:59):
They will live on it.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
It will, it really will.

Speaker 3 (07:02):
She's always on these governments about global warming and all
the rest of it. She does a lot in those
kind of areas. She's a very loud voice. But her
little sister, her little sister, little sister, yeah, is now
in the news today.

Speaker 1 (07:18):
Okay, so she Greece is twenty three, Yes, Harold's his sister.

Speaker 3 (07:22):
I believe her little sister is twenty okay, And she's
making headlines around the world today. I heard Brooke, who's
covering Fletchworn and Haley talking about her this morning. And
she's actually nothing like her older sister, Greta, like you
would think maybe they're in like a similar you know,

(07:42):
kind of you.

Speaker 1 (07:44):
Know, brought up the same, like the Irwins.

Speaker 2 (07:47):
They're all about you.

Speaker 1 (07:48):
Know, saving the animals, Saving.

Speaker 3 (07:50):
The animals, which I mean she's a singer, so she's
completely gone down a different path.

Speaker 4 (07:58):
So she's singing about global warming.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
No, no, she's not.

Speaker 3 (08:01):
Her name is Bee or her stage name, I believe
is Mona Lisa.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
And she's a singer, actor and dancer. Hey hear me,
I'm hearing.

Speaker 3 (08:13):
She could be incredible. We've got a clip of her.
This is her singing. I believe one of her songs
should Mandy pull the figurrud away?

Speaker 1 (08:27):
Should have predict Let you know.

Speaker 3 (08:46):
That is Greta Thunberg's younger sister b or as she
goes by Mona Lisa.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
What do we think?

Speaker 1 (08:52):
I need her to go on Britain's got talent or something.
I just need to see what producer Ella was bopping away?

Speaker 10 (09:01):
It was it was a vibe yea, What the hell
was that?

Speaker 2 (09:10):
Mate?

Speaker 1 (09:10):
With you?

Speaker 2 (09:11):
That was music of the future.

Speaker 11 (09:12):
It's that the scream, wasn't it?

Speaker 1 (09:15):
Scream one more time?

Speaker 12 (09:18):
Man?

Speaker 1 (09:20):
Mea should have prectice.

Speaker 2 (09:30):
I mean she hit it. She hit it though?

Speaker 4 (09:32):
What was that?

Speaker 2 (09:33):
Mate? I'm not commenting because I can't sing.

Speaker 1 (09:37):
In the shower. I can sing better than that. You
haven't been in the shower with me when I'm sung.

Speaker 7 (09:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (09:46):
Actually she is releasing her first album, so ella, if
you're into that, I am her first album.

Speaker 2 (09:54):
Her debut album is on the way.

Speaker 11 (09:57):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (09:57):
She's been asked about her sister, because obviously when she
gets interviewed about her music, of course people are going
to ask about her sister, Greta. And she has responded
in interviews when she's been asked, I'm not responsible for
other people's lives.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
Oh okay, she would think so. I think she just
doesn't want to.

Speaker 11 (10:22):
Gretathunberg's young to stand alone and do her own thing.

Speaker 2 (10:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (10:26):
I also don't give the vibes she cares that much
as much for global warming then.

Speaker 2 (10:32):
Right opposite?

Speaker 1 (10:33):
Yeah, did you see?

Speaker 2 (10:35):
I mean this is very visual for radio. But I'll
show you Georgia a picture of Gretathunburg's younger sister.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
I reckon she's like read here and like fake looking.

Speaker 3 (10:44):
She's got massive, very blonde hair fault, huge personality in
that photo, and she's wearing leopard print and a very
bright red lip pole.

Speaker 2 (10:56):
Opposite to her sister, Gretathornburg.

Speaker 4 (10:58):
That is not what I would like.

Speaker 3 (11:00):
I would never look at that picture and go, oh,
that's Greta's sister.

Speaker 4 (11:04):
It's a little outrageous fortune esc I thought.

Speaker 3 (11:07):
We could ask on eight hundred dials at M or
you can text us on nine six ninety six. Are
you polar opposites with your sibling?

Speaker 6 (11:16):
Like?

Speaker 2 (11:16):
And how polar opposite are you?

Speaker 6 (11:18):
Like?

Speaker 3 (11:18):
I'm pretty polar opposite to my brother, Like I am
a broadcaster, I work in radio and TV and he's
an electrical engineer.

Speaker 2 (11:29):
Like, we're pretty polar.

Speaker 1 (11:31):
Pretty opposite.

Speaker 3 (11:32):
You couldn't be further from you know each other in
those two different careers.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
I'm pretty polar to most of mine, but one of
my brothers and I are the same, but the rest
were all completely different. They all hate attention, whereas I'm
like me, what, I've.

Speaker 3 (11:48):
Never met someone who's more of a fiend for attention
than you?

Speaker 1 (11:51):
A hey, look in the mirror, mate.

Speaker 2 (11:57):
I do like my alone job as well. Now I'm embarrassed.

Speaker 3 (12:01):
See people who would like attention wouldn't get embarrassed in that.

Speaker 1 (12:04):
That's what they would say, CDMs, Bree and.

Speaker 2 (12:08):
Clinton Podcast only.

Speaker 1 (12:13):
Let you know what's that high perch? But I just
can't get past it.

Speaker 3 (12:18):
I think I might be into it. I feel like
I'm with producer Ella. I feel like I might be
into it.

Speaker 11 (12:24):
It's given me like musical theater vibes.

Speaker 2 (12:26):
She's self trained singer, actor, and dancer. She's a triple thread.

Speaker 1 (12:31):
Guys say they might need to be a little bit
of coaching.

Speaker 4 (12:35):
It's Georgia, a little bit of coaching.

Speaker 11 (12:38):
Screaming is not for radio, but it's good.

Speaker 2 (12:41):
Say it.

Speaker 4 (12:41):
We all need coaching forgot made.

Speaker 2 (12:45):
I can't sing, so I mean, who am mind to judge?

Speaker 3 (12:48):
We've asked you though, like Greta Thunberg and her younger sister.
Are you and your sibling polar opposites? And quite a
few people have text through.

Speaker 2 (12:59):
The very different Yeah.

Speaker 1 (13:01):
So Amber's six nine six nine six. I'm alternative and
my sister is a beij girlie. But we're best friends.
That's such a thing. I can see bost now.

Speaker 3 (13:10):
And it's so fascinating to me because they I mean,
I'm assuming because maybe not the case. But let's say
they had the same upbringing, same household, all things the same,
and then they're just polar opposite. You know, one's you know,
quite mainstream and cookie cutter, and the other ones like
more alty and you know, doing doing her own.

Speaker 1 (13:29):
Thing, which is weird because in terms of been best mates,
like what do you guys talk about?

Speaker 2 (13:34):
And I love that, right, I love that because oppositees
a tract.

Speaker 3 (13:38):
I totally believe in that. Someone else said, my brother
owns a building company, my sister is a top account
runs a top account and as for me, I'm a
courier driver. But then again, I did spend ten years
at home bringing up my kids, so no career really,
so all quite different.

Speaker 1 (13:57):
I'm an accountant and my sister is unemployed ext with
a bit of a criminal record.

Speaker 4 (14:02):
That could not be more opposite.

Speaker 3 (14:04):
Yeah, that is quite opposite. Someone said, I'm a university
trained English teacher and my younger sister trained as a
jockey after leaving school at fifteen.

Speaker 1 (14:17):
Now I want to hear your name, anonymous. Anonymous, how
polar opposite are you to your sibling?

Speaker 5 (14:23):
So my sister's in real estate okay, and I work
at disability support.

Speaker 11 (14:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (14:30):
Wow, so different worlds apart.

Speaker 1 (14:33):
You had you always wanted to go down that line
of the helping side of life.

Speaker 5 (14:39):
Yeah, I've always been really drawn to helping people and stuff.

Speaker 2 (14:43):
Yeah, but your sister would say that she helps people
all the time, Anonymous.

Speaker 1 (14:49):
She has literally actually said there she has a one
time at lunch that she really likes to help people
too by helping them.

Speaker 3 (14:59):
Get into a really nice three bed, two bathroom.

Speaker 1 (15:03):
Yeah, now did that go down well? Anonymous? Love it?

Speaker 13 (15:08):
I gave her a very flat look.

Speaker 3 (15:14):
It's like I helped a lovely with their dream indoor
outdoor living combo.

Speaker 2 (15:20):
It was great.

Speaker 3 (15:21):
Oh good on your Anonymous, very interesting. Thanks for calling
someone out the high road.

Speaker 2 (15:25):
I love it. Someone else text her and said.

Speaker 3 (15:28):
Myself, I'm thirty five, I exercise racehorses every morning, work
out doors, love the country. And my sister, who is
thirty four, is a city slicker through and through and
is a travel agent.

Speaker 1 (15:39):
Yeah. Well that's helpful though, travel agents as if you
even eat it.

Speaker 2 (15:45):
Yeah, and also the one that exercises racehorses. Maybe you
know has kiddymene.

Speaker 4 (15:51):
What would you use that for to give to the horses?

Speaker 7 (15:56):
Now?

Speaker 4 (15:56):
Tell us Stacey our polar opposite?

Speaker 1 (15:58):
Are you to your siblings?

Speaker 14 (16:03):
I'm dark hair, dark eyes, dart well not dark and
olive skin. She's as pastey as you can get, freckles,
strawberry blonde and blue eyes.

Speaker 2 (16:14):
Really same parents, absolutely.

Speaker 14 (16:17):
We used to joke that she was the milkman's but no.

Speaker 2 (16:22):
You're boys.

Speaker 1 (16:23):
So does that mean that one of your parents is
a bit more olive than if she was the milkman's.

Speaker 3 (16:28):
Yep, my dad, But neither of your parents are what
you described your sister's appearance.

Speaker 2 (16:35):
To be mom's side on Jad's side.

Speaker 3 (16:38):
Okay, okay, buzzy, So totally different, polar opposite than the appearance.
Someone takes her and said, my brother is a six
foot tall, redhead, redheaded who worked as an information systems
technician in the army, and I'm the polar opposite. I'm
five foot two, brunette and an early childhood teacher. So

(16:58):
while he's saving the I'm teaching the newcomers to.

Speaker 4 (17:02):
Save the country eventually.

Speaker 1 (17:06):
My sister and I are very similar and different regards,
but we are different and the things that matter. So
I'm a business owner and my sister is a social
worker who works for the union.

Speaker 2 (17:20):
Yeah right, so different. What about this. I'm a forest
school teacher.

Speaker 1 (17:24):
What's a forest forest school?

Speaker 2 (17:26):
Forest school teacher?

Speaker 3 (17:28):
And my sister is insta famous slash, a model, slash,
an actor.

Speaker 2 (17:33):
Oh how cool?

Speaker 1 (17:34):
A forest school is an outdoor educated model that Emmercy's
children and nature fun job and involves outdoor playing, practical
building schools. I wish I went to a forest school.
Yeah right, I've never even heard of that.

Speaker 3 (17:49):
But that's cool. What a cool job. What about this one?
My identical twin sister. This makes it so much more interesting.

Speaker 2 (17:57):
My identical twin sister and I couldn't be more different.

Speaker 3 (18:01):
She's emo and I'm a pop girlie. So sugar and Spice.

Speaker 1 (18:05):
Sees the Brendon Urie to your Taylor Sworth.

Speaker 2 (18:07):
How cute.

Speaker 1 (18:08):
There's pretty cue. That's very fu Also, that would have
been so hard to deal with. And road trips growing Artha.

Speaker 3 (18:15):
Yeah, because you like different music. And we'll finish on
this one. We're talking about polar opposite siblings. This one
says my sister and I are polar opposites. She's an
ahole and I'm not. Let's get the Tea the Tea
Live from LA with Dean McCarthy and Deeen McCarthy.

Speaker 2 (18:35):
He's the man on the ground.

Speaker 3 (18:37):
Such sad, sad news yesterday, Dean, I'm hearing the passing
of Sir sam Neil.

Speaker 7 (18:46):
Devastating to hear that because he is such a legend
and absolutely adored and loved by millions of people, and
it's now being revealed. His last social media post was
very telling and very beautiful. He actually posted a very
excited message about the fact that he'd been nominated for
a Silver Logi alongside Jacob Elordi, Hunter Page lucketed Stephen Peacock,

(19:09):
and it was really really cool. He said, very happy
to receive a Silver Logan nomination today, which is the
Australian Television Awards, the twelfth f three, many many thanks
to all of you another day, but for now a
wonderful cast and crew, I mean, a beautiful post and
a lot of celebrities have come forward and shared their
devastation over his passing and it's just really sad. It's

(19:30):
someone so talented.

Speaker 3 (19:31):
It it was very shocking news yesterday because obviously he
came out and said that he'd been diagnosed with cancer
back in twenty twenty two, and then it was this year,
I believe, like earlier this year he came out and
said that he was cancer free. So to get that
news yesterday that he'd passed was awful and we have

(19:53):
read George, you read somewhere that you believe he had
pneumonia a couple of days ago.

Speaker 1 (19:58):
Yeah, so a cast mean a coast had actually said
that he not long had left set a few days
ago with pneumonia. That's the only article that we've seen
about it. The Indied Hero posted it, but we will,
I guess find out more whether that was the cause
of it or if there's something else going on. But
all of the tributes, even realizing the things he was in,
I mean, Peaky blind is a huge fan of Peaky
Blinders personally, and I was.

Speaker 4 (20:19):
Like, wait, what I forgot he was in there.

Speaker 1 (20:21):
Jurassic Park of course, but yeah, a lot of celebrities
saying beautiful.

Speaker 3 (20:25):
Cole Kidman's posted some really lovely words. His co stars
from Jurassic Park have put up tributes for him, and
he's got He's in quite a few big things that
are coming out this year.

Speaker 2 (20:36):
I can't remember what it was I.

Speaker 3 (20:38):
Read somewhere that he's in a big, big film coming
out later this year. But yeah, such sad news to
see Sir Sam Neil pass away yesterday.

Speaker 1 (20:47):
And someone who you can see, probably Dan across the world,
has touched people's hearts rightly.

Speaker 4 (20:52):
You'll be seeing it all over.

Speaker 7 (20:54):
Oh, absolutely. The tributes have been coming in from all
over Hollywood. You're obviously right. He was a very very
loved big Absolutely.

Speaker 3 (21:03):
I think he was just a good person, you know,
and that was felt by everyone that had worked with him,
everyone that was a fan of his. And you see
that obviously with the tributes that are coming out. It's
Godzilla god Ze that's hitting cinemas yeah, early next year,
I believe, and he's a part of that film. So yeah, sad,

(21:25):
sad news the passing of Sir Sam Neil.

Speaker 2 (21:27):
With thanks Stean for the update. We appreciate it.

Speaker 3 (21:29):
Dean McCarthy, our Hollywood correspondent Colin Georgia from days filling
in now.

Speaker 1 (21:35):
I love when things that we have as Kiwis and
we brought up Worth get discovered, world ride worldwide right and.

Speaker 4 (21:43):
Mister mister Weldbom's real far. They actually broke a record
this week, Dary.

Speaker 1 (21:49):
Are we talking about.

Speaker 2 (21:51):
Sorry derailing your whole broke?

Speaker 1 (21:53):
No, I appreciate it, but it made me think when
I saw this video, I was like, I must test
to see if you can figure out what these Englishmen
are saying. Okay, and what key we product?

Speaker 2 (22:06):
This is right? So this is a key product, KEII product.

Speaker 1 (22:10):
Actually I think it's worldwide more but like it's no
one is a New Zealand product?

Speaker 4 (22:14):
What is this?

Speaker 2 (22:21):
I know what it is.

Speaker 3 (22:28):
Or is or as the Englishman know it a.

Speaker 1 (22:33):
The comments on this are so funny. People been like,
I'm sorry, I've never heard of that New Zealand. I've
never heard of.

Speaker 2 (22:42):
I like how they say it better to be honest,
well to be fear how.

Speaker 1 (22:45):
Do you say it? Or Joa?

Speaker 2 (22:50):
What a jower?

Speaker 1 (22:51):
It's a jo this is This is the argument with
the New Zealand anyways.

Speaker 2 (22:56):
What do you call me Joe?

Speaker 1 (22:59):
You heard me? Ala? What do you call it? By
the bye? Why are you emphasizing its?

Speaker 11 (23:07):
No one says for joa?

Speaker 2 (23:08):
Who's saying for?

Speaker 7 (23:09):
You?

Speaker 1 (23:10):
Say for joa? Nine six nine six on the tics tomato?

Speaker 2 (23:15):
What did you say for joa?

Speaker 11 (23:17):
That's what I call my food food?

Speaker 4 (23:21):
Do you do?

Speaker 2 (23:23):
You know what the South Island thing? Maybe?

Speaker 1 (23:26):
But from this video I found I found out that
for joas are actually sorry not actually.

Speaker 2 (23:34):
Actually yeah.

Speaker 11 (23:34):
I like that the way what's the best way?

Speaker 1 (23:36):
They're actually really good for like depression and being said
he gave his power.

Speaker 3 (23:41):
I'd never even heard of a fighter until I moved
to New Zealand.

Speaker 1 (23:46):
Are okay so that in the Islands though, I'm pretty
sure right.

Speaker 3 (23:50):
Yes they are, but they're very common in New Zealand
and there definitely a thing in New Zealand.

Speaker 2 (23:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 11 (23:55):
People come here and they're like, what's the hat?

Speaker 2 (23:57):
Yeah, I don't know it. Quite a few people's I
must in the text when I first tasted a fire,
didn't like it wasn't a fan. I was like, what
is this? The texture is weird?

Speaker 3 (24:10):
And they're now huge fan looking forward to them every
five jour season.

Speaker 1 (24:14):
You kind of got to an auckland because they're everywhere
and they end up at work on every single table.

Speaker 11 (24:19):
They end up in my tummy. Honestly, I can't get enough.

Speaker 3 (24:23):
There's a tree that goes over our backyard and they
just all ferment in the back corner of our backyard
and it stinks.

Speaker 1 (24:31):
Do the dogs love them?

Speaker 2 (24:32):
I don't.

Speaker 11 (24:33):
I don't think they should be eating that.

Speaker 1 (24:34):
Oh really, I don't know much about dogs.

Speaker 11 (24:36):
The best thing when we can.

Speaker 2 (24:37):
Get the runs.

Speaker 3 (24:41):
A couple of texts coming through and people are saying
Ella and I are saying it correctly a fi.

Speaker 4 (24:49):
No what sid with the five e'sla.

Speaker 2 (24:53):
Are right, you emphasize the e a fi.

Speaker 1 (24:56):
Okay, back up the bus. That's one person that said that.

Speaker 3 (25:00):
Brilliant Clint podcast planned back next week, Georgia from days
filling in and you learnt something this week as an
It's crazy.

Speaker 1 (25:08):
I don't learn much.

Speaker 2 (25:10):
I feel like you're always learning try on this show.

Speaker 3 (25:13):
But you said to me that you learned something as
an adult about the Tellytubbies.

Speaker 1 (25:18):
Yes, I dad a no to the ticks that's come
through A nine sex nine and sex is not the
fact that Poe was in fact a guy.

Speaker 2 (25:23):
What Poe was a guy?

Speaker 15 (25:24):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (25:25):
Wait? Were they all guys?

Speaker 1 (25:26):
I thought they were? To La La Girlinky La La
was a girl.

Speaker 2 (25:31):
Tinky Winky was definitely a fella.

Speaker 1 (25:34):
And then Deepsy No where have I gone?

Speaker 2 (25:37):
Gypsy's one?

Speaker 1 (25:38):
Why do they not sound real anymore? See La La Poe?

Speaker 2 (25:42):
I feel like La La was the only girl producer Ella.

Speaker 12 (25:46):
I can't remember much of the Tellytubbies. I just remember
the sun, the little baby.

Speaker 1 (25:50):
See I forget about the sun.

Speaker 11 (25:51):
Why that's the best thing.

Speaker 2 (25:52):
The little baby's all grown.

Speaker 1 (25:54):
It's got the headiest ggirl. It's a cute gig. That's
not cute. What are you on to?

Speaker 10 (25:59):
But I will say, yeah, there's one girl.

Speaker 1 (26:12):
Lala I have now obviously Telly Tubby's. I kind of
we've grown up with them. We just deciphered all their names,
figuring out whether the guys or girls. Now, what I
didn't know about the Tellytubby's is that the reason they're
cooled Telly Tubbyes is because they have.

Speaker 4 (26:30):
Telly's on their tummies. Now did we all know this?

Speaker 2 (26:35):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (26:36):
Not even you there?

Speaker 3 (26:38):
And that's what do you think the thing on their
heads are they're thetennas?

Speaker 4 (26:41):
Were they just the ears?

Speaker 2 (26:43):
Or they have ears? I have ears? And then they've
got the antenna.

Speaker 11 (26:46):
Listen.

Speaker 4 (26:47):
When I was watching this show, I was just there
for the vacuum cleaner.

Speaker 3 (26:50):
No, you just everyone was here for I don't think
I wasn't there for the vacuum cleaner.

Speaker 2 (26:57):
Were you?

Speaker 13 (26:58):
Well?

Speaker 2 (26:58):
No, who's nunu.

Speaker 4 (27:00):
It was a weird news the vacuum cleaner.

Speaker 2 (27:02):
It was almost as weird as thingy.

Speaker 1 (27:04):
The whole thing is so weird.

Speaker 12 (27:06):
Have I've forgotten about the Telly Tubbies? I do not
remember any of you might.

Speaker 2 (27:10):
Be a bit young.

Speaker 4 (27:11):
I thank you watch it.

Speaker 11 (27:13):
So there was a vacuum clean And what was the
other thing you said, nun was.

Speaker 1 (27:17):
The vacuum cleaner?

Speaker 8 (27:18):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (27:18):
Right, what did they do like that?

Speaker 1 (27:21):
I just did that.

Speaker 12 (27:22):
Vacuum cleaner things okay, cleaned up. What was the purpose
of Telly Tubby? Did they go on a venture?

Speaker 2 (27:28):
I can't remember.

Speaker 3 (27:29):
I can't remember, but I can't believe that you didn't
know that's why they were called the Telly Toppy.

Speaker 1 (27:34):
No, Honestly, it was one of those things that I
would then read and thought that makes sense, But then
I looked into it too much and was like, well,
that's a dumb name because that actually is Tally Tubby,
not Taly tummy.

Speaker 2 (27:43):
Someone said, our home vacuum is called Nu Nu.

Speaker 1 (27:48):
Tubby toast time for Tabby toast time.

Speaker 4 (27:51):
Well, I feel like that what they ate there wasn't.

Speaker 11 (27:54):
There helps the little TV and their tummies.

Speaker 1 (27:58):
See. This is a weird thing, though, because you feel
at the age of thirty two, like when you learn
things like this that you watch every single day that
you should have just known there, right.

Speaker 3 (28:07):
It's like, yeah, there's I mean, I'm learning things all
the time where I'm like how, And it always amazes
me when I'm like how did I not know that?
Like something real basic, like I never knew. A couple
of years ago I learned that. You know when you
wear like a small T shirt and you wear your
pants and you've got like that piece between where you're
tummy showing.

Speaker 1 (28:28):
Yeah, do you know what that's called with it? The crop?

Speaker 2 (28:32):
No, you wear a crop to crop pants and you.

Speaker 1 (28:35):
Know meddrift, meddrift.

Speaker 2 (28:37):
It's midriff. I always thought it was.

Speaker 3 (28:41):
Middrift, like you, Yeah, and like a lot of people,
it's midriff.

Speaker 11 (28:46):
That's a mind hurdle.

Speaker 1 (28:48):
Oh, I don't like that.

Speaker 2 (28:50):
Crazy. It'll always be middrift for me though.

Speaker 1 (28:53):
That's like when I first started dating my husband. Home
and you'll know this from a farming ground. But there's
a type of I guess crop and it's called lucern
lucern as a crop I don't know. Anyway, I used
to call it Lucians because that's what I thought. He
was like, was, these are the Lucians. Look out the

(29:14):
field and be like, whoa, the Lucians are looking good today,
and hands like, what did you just say? I was
like the Lucians that there's lucern, honey.

Speaker 3 (29:21):
Lucern loucern I've never even heard of that either. I'm
learning something again, maybe I should.

Speaker 1 (29:26):
Be, maybe I am the teacher.

Speaker 3 (29:28):
Actually time there far, Georgia. We're all learning things as adults.
Like producer Ella just recently learned about the Big Bang.

Speaker 1 (29:35):
Don't bring that up.

Speaker 2 (29:37):
I knew what I knew.

Speaker 4 (29:38):
To shut up breathing.

Speaker 11 (29:39):
He knew of it, yes, and I'm reading up on
it right now.

Speaker 4 (29:43):
But what I was going to say point to reading
up on it?

Speaker 11 (29:46):
Yeah, I mean some science shit happened and here we are.

Speaker 2 (29:49):
Yeah, that's fascinating to me.

Speaker 12 (29:51):
No, the thing I didn't realize is who's Michael Jackson's sister?

Speaker 1 (29:55):
Jannet.

Speaker 11 (29:56):
Janet Jackson is Michael Jackson's sister.

Speaker 2 (30:00):
You know, she did a real one day.

Speaker 3 (30:02):
She goes, guys, did you know that Jennet Jackson is
Michael Jackson's sister? And we all looked at her and
she wasn't doing a bit. She was being genuinely serious
to her.

Speaker 11 (30:13):
She's not known as Michael Jackson's sister. She's got her
own name, yeah.

Speaker 3 (30:17):
But everyone knows that she's Michael Jackson's sister, though, Like
it's not.

Speaker 1 (30:20):
Like when did you learn this? What fact did you
come across last year.

Speaker 4 (30:26):
That is wild.

Speaker 1 (30:28):
I suppose you could say that not knowing the Tellytubby
is because of that as well too, But we do
want to know what you've learned.

Speaker 2 (30:34):
As an adult? What have you learned?

Speaker 12 (30:37):
Like?

Speaker 3 (30:37):
And it could have been a couple of years ago,
could have been recently, but what did you learn where
you were like, how did I not know that?

Speaker 1 (30:43):
And you want to bite your tongue and not telling
anyone that you didn't know it. But you're also like
far eight someone else as dumb as me the z
M podcast network. I found out that the reason these
guys see the Tellytubbies are infact called the Tellytubbies is

(31:04):
because well, they had televisions on their tummies, didn't they.
It seems obvious, but I picked it apart by saying, well,
technically it's televisions on their tummies, but they're called tubbies, so.

Speaker 4 (31:16):
Not quite you know what I'm saying here.

Speaker 3 (31:18):
And then we started talking about if they were boys
or girls, and I thought there was only one, and
then someone and then everyone was like, no, Poe is
a girl according to Google apparently.

Speaker 4 (31:29):
So there's two girls, La, La and po.

Speaker 2 (31:32):
So is there two girls?

Speaker 1 (31:32):
Two boys, Tinky Winky dipsy too, La la poe.

Speaker 2 (31:36):
Two girls, two boys. Makes sense.

Speaker 3 (31:39):
So we're asking you, what is the thing you've learned
as an adult.

Speaker 2 (31:43):
You've learned it quite late, but you're like, this is
a safe space.

Speaker 1 (31:46):
Okay, we have arnaka. Please tell us what you have
learned as an adult. Feel free if you want to
tell us your age too, when you learned it.

Speaker 2 (31:55):
Okay.

Speaker 5 (31:56):
I think I think I'm late twenty twenty nine.

Speaker 14 (32:00):
Okay, And so obviously I've been bowling for a mini
mini many.

Speaker 5 (32:04):
I've done bowling many times.

Speaker 7 (32:05):
And one day I was just driving past the bowling alley,
was my partner at the time, and I just said, huh,
that's why it's called ten pin bowling, because it's got
ten pounds.

Speaker 2 (32:18):
Yep, you put you put ten and ten together.

Speaker 16 (32:21):
Yeah, because I was called it Tim ten Tim with
an M, not a.

Speaker 2 (32:26):
Wait, you called it tim pin bowling. Yeah, amazing.

Speaker 1 (32:32):
I have to say I can visually see that the
spark in your eyes going.

Speaker 2 (32:37):
Oh yeah, ten pin bowling.

Speaker 1 (32:40):
You're not the only one to.

Speaker 13 (32:43):
No.

Speaker 3 (32:44):
I think you might be the only one.

Speaker 7 (32:50):
No.

Speaker 6 (32:50):
Part I don't think you should never tell anybody that
calls the.

Speaker 2 (32:54):
Radio station tells the whole country. I love it, argle.

Speaker 5 (32:57):
I mean, I'm forty two now, so it's pretty sure
you've moved on you.

Speaker 11 (33:01):
Think about it, it's pretty funny.

Speaker 2 (33:03):
Yeah, good on you, very very good.

Speaker 3 (33:05):
Someone texture and they said, I learned recently that pickles
are actually made from cucumbers.

Speaker 4 (33:10):
Ye know, that's actually wild. What that's wild?

Speaker 1 (33:12):
Because then there's also the corner cons corner Schon called
the corn coon corner Sean. It's the mini peckle. It's
like the mini so you got you gotta warnum what
is it? Corner sean or corn con? I don't know.

Speaker 4 (33:26):
Both a hattiest names corner Sean maybe.

Speaker 2 (33:29):
Comic con have been a couple of times. It's a
good time.

Speaker 3 (33:33):
Let's talk to becks on eight hundred dials at Belog.

Speaker 2 (33:39):
Tell us, mate, what did you learn as an adult?

Speaker 6 (33:42):
Great old TikTok the EG? For example? Given? I always
was like, what how does EG fit? For example? Because
there's no G an example?

Speaker 1 (33:54):
I'm about to learn with you here me too.

Speaker 6 (33:56):
Yeah, so you know how like we always go EG
and it means for example, given, Oh, I've always gone
like why is there no G in it?

Speaker 7 (34:07):
Like?

Speaker 6 (34:07):
How when we do, etcetera, etc. Yeah, and I also
learned like I es initial, oh, explanate, No, I've forgotten
the ie one.

Speaker 7 (34:19):
You know.

Speaker 1 (34:19):
What's cracker is that all of these we've never ever
been sat down and told what the four words are.

Speaker 2 (34:26):
We just assume.

Speaker 6 (34:28):
And as worse, I'm a teacher.

Speaker 1 (34:30):
So yeah, but again we never got taught it. You
don't have to teach it either.

Speaker 6 (34:36):
No, No, always like, eg, give an example, and it's
because it's example given.

Speaker 11 (34:41):
Yeah, it has.

Speaker 2 (34:42):
Blown my mind. We appreciate that. Bis, thank you crazy gosh.

Speaker 4 (34:47):
Okay, well, what else is Louise going to teach us anything?

Speaker 1 (34:50):
Louise?

Speaker 2 (34:50):
What have you learned?

Speaker 1 (34:51):
And how old were you?

Speaker 8 (34:53):
Oh?

Speaker 16 (34:53):
I'm fifteen now for about five years ago.

Speaker 13 (34:56):
Right that I'm just.

Speaker 16 (34:57):
Like booking along to you know, tequila song and it
just clicked.

Speaker 13 (35:01):
I mean, oh my god.

Speaker 16 (35:03):
These are all songs about actual drink names like Shuley
Tempole and Jack Daniels and Jim Beam. And then I'm like,
oh my god, this whole song is always like drink.

Speaker 1 (35:14):
Wait, what song is it?

Speaker 13 (35:16):
Tequila?

Speaker 2 (35:17):
By the song where it is like tequila?

Speaker 16 (35:23):
Is that this one?

Speaker 1 (35:25):
Yeah?

Speaker 17 (35:25):
I think it's this is my karaoke song singer Louise Hey,
I do a great karaoke song for people that got sang.

Speaker 1 (35:38):
Hey.

Speaker 2 (35:39):
Thanks Louise, appreciate that.

Speaker 1 (35:41):
Well, I've just been there to to be figured. This
is great.

Speaker 3 (35:44):
It's about to blow your mind. There's so many good
ones on the text machine. Someone said, and I was
one of these people. I was with this person and says,
my wife thought narwalls were mythical creatures like unicorns. Until
relatively recently. I always thought that they were mythical as well.

Speaker 1 (36:03):
Me too. And I didn't think they were water characters.

Speaker 12 (36:06):
Nah.

Speaker 4 (36:07):
I thought they were like a horse.

Speaker 2 (36:08):
It's like a whale, and I've got this huge horn
at the top of its head. And I was like, oh,
well that's not a real animal.

Speaker 1 (36:14):
But no it is.

Speaker 4 (36:15):
And we just goggled it and it's pretty full noise.

Speaker 2 (36:17):
That's one so good.

Speaker 1 (36:19):
From Claudia whose ticks none six nine six. I just
learned that a scarecrow it's called a scarecrow because it's scars.
Crows shit caught it.

Speaker 4 (36:29):
I think it might be in the name.

Speaker 1 (36:31):
I like it.

Speaker 3 (36:32):
Someone said, I learned recently that roosters are male chickens.

Speaker 1 (36:37):
Oh, sometimes I want to say, come on, and then
I realized what I've just learned on my you we don't.

Speaker 2 (36:42):
Judge, we don't judge.

Speaker 3 (36:44):
Someone else said, I taught my thirty thirty year old
wife last year that reindeer are a real animal. I
feel like there's a few people out there because obviously,
you know, you've got the reindeer that leads Santa's sled,
But then there's real life reindeer as well.

Speaker 2 (37:00):
You know, they're real reindeer that are flying around in
that sled.

Speaker 1 (37:03):
They're not really in all parts of the country though,
either ace you're not often seeing reindeer.

Speaker 3 (37:08):
I remember the first time I saw one down to Wannaica,
and I was like, wow, that's such an incredible animal.

Speaker 1 (37:15):
You rubbed your eyes to see a few.

Speaker 2 (37:16):
Hours and their antler's shed. They like shed every year apparently.

Speaker 1 (37:22):
Yeah, my auntie before she passed away, she she had
a deer far did she?

Speaker 7 (37:27):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (37:28):
And I remember one of them escaped and we were
having a glass of wine. Then we would to run
and chase this bloomen reindeer down their oad.

Speaker 2 (37:34):
But that was in the South Island. It was yeah.
Someone said, this is such a good one.

Speaker 3 (37:39):
It says I've text this in before, but my all
time low was that peak Hour traffic. I heard it
as a name and thought it was a town called
peak Hour that calls and started the bad traffic gems.

Speaker 2 (37:53):
That's so I love that one so much.

Speaker 1 (37:56):
Just south of christ George peakout and you're in Auckland
Peak with God seems to be Rickur.

Speaker 2 (38:03):
It's causing all the issues.

Speaker 1 (38:05):
It's like Queen Streets. They're everywhere.

Speaker 11 (38:09):
It's z it ms, Brilling Clinton podcast.

Speaker 3 (38:12):
Our path's collided this morning kind of because I said
to you, Hey, I might be running a bit late.
I'm just going to get a blood test, and you said,
I just went and got a blood test.

Speaker 2 (38:23):
And our world's collided in that sense.

Speaker 1 (38:26):
Yeah, And it's so weird when that stuff happens, because
you go, wait, what do you mean we're in the
same wavelength.

Speaker 2 (38:31):
It's like a weird like we're living in a simulation.

Speaker 4 (38:34):
We are, which I'm just learning about the simulation life.

Speaker 3 (38:36):
And after five o'clock I'm going to blow your mind
with a story that you won't be able to deny
that we're living in a simulation.

Speaker 4 (38:44):
So this is a minor simulation that's going to be.

Speaker 3 (38:46):
Extreme exactly okay, But anyway, went to get a blood test,
you know, just a full waft, nothing serious, but just
getting a full waft done because I'm about to become
a mom for the first time. So I'll, like, you know,
get all these things done because I'm probably going to
have time soon once baby comes. So I went down
to get a blood test and my doctor just said, oh,

(39:07):
we'll test for these bits and bobs, we'll do a few. Anyway,
turned up at the blood testing place. It's packed, so
many people in the waiting room.

Speaker 1 (39:16):
You gotta get the card, You've got to scan in
and wait and.

Speaker 3 (39:19):
All you do that and anyway, finally after about an hour,
I got in to see what I think they're called
a phlebottomist. They take your blood. I'm pretty sure that
might be the biggest word I use on the show today.

Speaker 2 (39:35):
A flebottomist. Yeah, and you sit down in the.

Speaker 4 (39:37):
Chair and yeah, that sounds made up, but you're right.
A phlebotomist.

Speaker 2 (39:42):
The woman I had today was lovely.

Speaker 3 (39:44):
She looks at my left arm because I said I'd
prefer that arm because it's my non dominant and she
looks at it and goes, nah, no, good veins in
that arm.

Speaker 2 (39:53):
We'll have to do your right arm. And I was like, okay,
here we go.

Speaker 3 (39:56):
Anyway, she's looking at me and she puts the needle
in and the blo comes out and it's not coming.

Speaker 2 (40:01):
Out very fast.

Speaker 3 (40:02):
Oh no, and she says to me, She's like, have
you drunk much water today? And for some reason I
just go into full, like you know, young kid mode,
where I'm like, yeah, I think I've drunk a fair
bit of water. But I went to the gym and
so I was sweating and I was just full panicking
because I was like, oh.

Speaker 1 (40:19):
She knows.

Speaker 2 (40:20):
She knows I'm not drinking enough water.

Speaker 3 (40:22):
She goes, oh, well, you need to drink more water,
and I was like okay, anyway, So that's happened.

Speaker 1 (40:27):
To the philebotomist.

Speaker 2 (40:28):
No, I had drunk a decent amount of water.

Speaker 1 (40:31):
How much water?

Speaker 2 (40:32):
Oh, probably one.

Speaker 4 (40:33):
Of these one sept on that big friend green.

Speaker 3 (40:36):
Anyway, she judges me for how much water I've drunk.
And it was at the end of her taking all
the blood that she goes, oh, and here's the container
that you need to weigh in and do that. And
I said what She goes, oh, you need to you're
doing a urine test as well, I said, since when
I was like, I didn't sign up to do a

(40:57):
urine test, did not know about that that part of
the test. And I was like, oh, I can't remember
the last time I did a urine test.

Speaker 1 (41:05):
I did one of those today too, And I said
to the doctor I was off to go do whe's
and she said she just laughed at me for a
little bit, and I was like, what do you want
me to say? I'm going to go do a you
I'm going to go take a urine No, I'm gonna yeah,
that's what I have to say. If it was technical, right,
see the p or I'm going to w I'm gonna
do you urinate?

Speaker 8 (41:21):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (41:22):
The other word urinate in the lavatory.

Speaker 3 (41:25):
Anyway, She hands me this plastic container and I go
into the bathroom and I'm doing my business. And because
you catch it in a plastic container and then you
pour it into.

Speaker 1 (41:35):
The tube, I did that wrong.

Speaker 7 (41:37):
Wait?

Speaker 2 (41:38):
Wait did you wad into the into the tube?

Speaker 7 (41:42):
What?

Speaker 2 (41:44):
How did you do it?

Speaker 1 (41:47):
What did you do into the tube?

Speaker 16 (41:49):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (41:50):
Did they not care?

Speaker 1 (41:51):
Under the ten?

Speaker 7 (41:52):
No?

Speaker 1 (41:52):
I didn't. The containers were there, so it's like a
self service.

Speaker 2 (41:56):
You go to the bath tautube and I know I
didn't think about this.

Speaker 1 (42:03):
You've just really reminded me that there were containers.

Speaker 2 (42:05):
There were you just when you just expecting it. I
just in that tiny che I.

Speaker 1 (42:10):
Actually aimed pretty good.

Speaker 4 (42:11):
It was like a dude, it was real full on.

Speaker 2 (42:14):
I got stand over the toilet like canga style.

Speaker 1 (42:17):
Weird, ben, I know, sorry, this isn't about me weird,
but anyway, so and the containers.

Speaker 2 (42:24):
We stand to the container.

Speaker 3 (42:25):
And at that point, after being hounded by the phlebotomist
about not drinking enough water, I've looked down and my
Wii is Floro yellow Floro, and I was like, oh
my god, my multi vitamin. I've taken my multi vitamin.
And at this point I've realized I need to hand
my fluo yellow tube of Wii to the woman who's

(42:49):
already accused me of not drinking enough water.

Speaker 1 (42:53):
It's not accused you lied to her.

Speaker 3 (42:55):
No, I didn't lie to the phlebottoms anyway, handed over
my chin tube. She's looked at and then looked at
how awkward handing over a tube of you of your
Wii to the fla bottomus. And she's looked at me,
and she looked at the tube and I went multivitamin
and that's all I said, and then just legged it

(43:16):
out of there. I was so embarrassed.

Speaker 1 (43:20):
You were like a child that you were there. She says,
wheeze every day and you're right, they be.

Speaker 3 (43:26):
Like, mate, she hadn't seen ways like this one.

Speaker 4 (43:29):
I'm as zad AM's Brinklin podcast.

Speaker 3 (43:35):
I want to talk about how we're all living in
a simulation and I've got some great evidence to present
to the people.

Speaker 2 (43:44):
This afternoon, we get to a herbnb in San Diego.

Speaker 15 (43:48):
We're looking at this picture and my dad is like,
this looks like me.

Speaker 1 (43:52):
And I'm like, oh Dad, what no?

Speaker 15 (43:55):
This is my dad, that's my sister, and that's breeding
my brother.

Speaker 2 (43:58):
They're literally in the airbnbs.

Speaker 3 (44:02):
So get this what This is a clip of two
sisters who booked an airbnb in San Diego. They've never
stayed or I believe it was in California. Yeah, San Diego, California.
They book this airbnb. They've rocked up and there's a
picture on the wall, you know those pictures that it's
like an aerial view of a beach, and there's like

(44:22):
there's people.

Speaker 2 (44:23):
All swimming in the beach and they're laying on the sand.
But it's an aerial view and.

Speaker 1 (44:27):
So normally you wouldn't even know who was in this
because there's hundreds of people.

Speaker 2 (44:33):
Yeah, there's heaps of people.

Speaker 3 (44:34):
Anyway, they start looking at this picture as you do,
and they're like, God, that looks like our dad. And
then as they look closer, they see that the girl
standing next to the dad is one of the sisters
that are there at the airbnb, and she goes, that's
me because that was the bathing suit that I was wearing.
And then they can see their brother just like a

(44:55):
couple of meters away in the photo as well, and
it was from ten years ago. They were like looking
at themselves and the swimming togs that they're wearing, They're like,
this photo was taken ten years ago. They didn't know
what was taken of them, but they're in the photo
at the airbnb that they've booked.

Speaker 4 (45:13):
That's so bizarre.

Speaker 1 (45:14):
That does make you think though about the amount of
times there's there's thousands of those kinds of photos out there. Yeah,
and I often sometimes think when I'm on the beach
or bit of pull that wig out bitter.

Speaker 3 (45:26):
You know, what are you thinking at the beach that
you're going to be in one of these photos?

Speaker 2 (45:31):
Is that what you're thinking?

Speaker 1 (45:32):
You don't know what you are going to be in
the background of.

Speaker 12 (45:37):
Are you expecting to be scouted as a model every time.

Speaker 2 (45:41):
I get expecting to be mirandaccurd? Are you not.

Speaker 1 (45:45):
Bloody worsh No, but think about it. There's so many
influences out there these days, every man and the dogs
trying to be one.

Speaker 4 (45:52):
This was ten years ago.

Speaker 1 (45:54):
Yeah, ten years ago there was Instagram meajoring in the
background of a photo and you're pulling out a wig
about it. So they should Were they looking good?

Speaker 3 (46:04):
They were children, that's what you're focusing on. They were kids,
well we didn't know the age, on a family holiday
with their dad.

Speaker 2 (46:14):
You're not shocked.

Speaker 12 (46:15):
How they end up at random stranger's Airbnb.

Speaker 1 (46:19):
No, that's what I mean that we're probably all in
people's Airbnbs.

Speaker 3 (46:22):
And there's only one explanation, guys, what And it's because
we're living in a simulation.

Speaker 4 (46:28):
Okay, who's running the simulation?

Speaker 2 (46:30):
We don't know?

Speaker 12 (46:31):
It could be as you mentioned the Truman shoke. Honestly,
I do feel that sometimes that we might be like
an avatar in a little incubator.

Speaker 3 (46:39):
Could be I've got more evidence that I'd like to
present on this post. People started commenting other simular stories
about why we're living in a simulation. Do you want
to hear something? Okay, yep, okay, So here's what someone
wrote this. They said, my uncle got sent a postcard
from a friend who was on a holiday. Postcard picture

(47:01):
was my granddad eating an ice cream, so the uncle's dad,
the friend wouldn't have known that it was his dad
because he had passed away many, many years earlier.

Speaker 11 (47:13):
Oh my gosh, that hurts my brain.

Speaker 1 (47:15):
Okay wait, how is this not more invisible string?

Speaker 3 (47:19):
Okay, ready, I've got more. I've got more. Sit back
and relax.

Speaker 1 (47:23):
I'm relaxed.

Speaker 3 (47:24):
I flew to India and traveled up to the Himalayas
to my old boarding school where I was going to
teach for the summer. On the first day, I was
looking at the school photos in the cafeteria and another
lady who was and a lady was standing next to me,
also looking at the photos. I said to her that
I'd gone to boarding school here forty years ago and

(47:45):
that this was my first time being back at the school.

Speaker 2 (47:49):
She said she had.

Speaker 3 (47:50):
Gone to boarding school here forty years ago and this
was her first time visiting. Also turns out her name
was Kathy, my best friend from school. We'd lost touch
after we'd left school and hadn't spoken since.

Speaker 1 (48:06):
What are the odds?

Speaker 2 (48:07):
Wait, I don't get both at the same time.

Speaker 1 (48:10):
Where its inappropriate as it's appropriate buzzy is that appropriate?

Speaker 2 (48:18):
Kind of do you want another one, George?

Speaker 1 (48:22):
If I can use the buzzy ge o came on?

Speaker 3 (48:25):
Someone said I once checked into a hotel at the
beach in the middle of a thunderstorm. I grabbed a
newspaper to hold over my head when I go to
the room. I looked at the paper and there was
a picture of me and my mum on the front page.
I was I was at a festival in that beach
town three years before, which is when this newspaper was from.

Speaker 1 (48:47):
What what the hell?

Speaker 4 (48:50):
This can't be real?

Speaker 1 (48:51):
It's true.

Speaker 11 (48:52):
It hurts my brain.

Speaker 4 (48:54):
I don't get it.

Speaker 1 (48:55):
I know that one didn't get a buzzy gee because I'm.

Speaker 2 (49:00):
Play Okay, I have one more piece of evidence to
present that we're living in a simulation. This one.

Speaker 3 (49:08):
I bought a picture frame for my brother and his
new wife as a part of their wedding gift. While
I was waiting at the register to pay for it,
I glanced down at the picture that came with the frame.
To my shock, the model in the picture was actually
my brother's ex wife, who was a model. I quickly

(49:28):
went back and found a different frame.

Speaker 4 (49:33):
You can't find a frame.

Speaker 1 (49:34):
You can't because you put it first. Yeah, but also
can I just she's.

Speaker 2 (49:38):
A model, so of course she's going to these These
are lost on Joey Jailer.

Speaker 11 (49:42):
What are you doing this on purpose?

Speaker 1 (49:44):
I'm the contrarian.

Speaker 3 (49:46):
No, I think she genuinely doesn't understand what's going on.

Speaker 1 (49:50):
Why you know where you are right now?

Speaker 2 (49:53):
You're in a simulation. We want to ask this afternoon.
We want to ask you this afternoon.

Speaker 3 (50:01):
I wait hundred dials in them, or you can text
us on nine six, nine six for your stories, your
evidence to present to us as to why we are
living in a simulation.

Speaker 4 (50:12):
What if I see the same car drive pass every day.

Speaker 3 (50:16):
That could just be because that someone lives in your neighborhood.

Speaker 1 (50:21):
I'm so lost.

Speaker 3 (50:25):
Okay, they need to be better than the one neighbor.

Speaker 1 (50:30):
No, not my neighbor. I just see the same car
every day with the same license, plays in the same areas.
Now they're on the motorway. Okay, you just have to
do better than me, England.

Speaker 3 (50:44):
That's what we need to do with Georgia right now,
baby steps because she didn't realize that we're living in
a simulation.

Speaker 1 (50:50):
I still don't.

Speaker 3 (50:50):
You don't understand the concept. Oh, you're such a big
part of the simulation, then.

Speaker 1 (50:55):
I think it's all just like coincidence or to deja vu, or.

Speaker 2 (50:58):
Like it's more than that.

Speaker 3 (51:00):
It's that step further than a coincidence, where it's so
unexplainable that the only explanation is we're living in a simulation.

Speaker 1 (51:09):
Like the Truman Show.

Speaker 2 (51:11):
Yeah, they might.

Speaker 3 (51:14):
It's off the back of these two girls who rented
an Airbnb and they've turned up and there's a picture
on the wall and it's an aerial shot of people
at the beach, and they've realized that their family is
in the photo from ten years ago.

Speaker 2 (51:29):
Take a listen. We get to ABNB in San Diego.

Speaker 15 (51:33):
We're looking at this picture and my dad is like,
this looks like me, and I'm like, oh Dad, what, no,
this is my dad, that's my sister, and that's breeding
my brother.

Speaker 2 (51:42):
They're literally in the Airbnb picture.

Speaker 3 (51:46):
What the hell simulation, it's the only explanation. So we're
asking you this afternoon to present your evidence to us
as to why we're living in a simulation.

Speaker 2 (51:56):
Let's talk to Lily first.

Speaker 3 (51:57):
Hi, tell us, mate, why are we living in a simulation?

Speaker 1 (52:02):
And make sure you just I'm going to take a
little bit of time to understand.

Speaker 3 (52:07):
Don't get offended if Georgia doesn't understand Lily, she hasn't
understood most of these. Okay, this one is a little
bit buggy, so you do just need to like hold
on as I explained. Okay, when my mom was born,
she got baptized by this priest called Charlie right right.

Speaker 8 (52:23):
You know, this was into Meru so far away. She
moves up to christ She goes on a date with
this guy like twenty five years later, pets it off. Whatever,
he's my dad. Now when she goes to like meet
his family, that priest was his dad. What my grandfather
baptized my mom when she was born. And bear in

(52:45):
mind they didn't live into marou They were there for
about My dad's family was there for about a year
and somehow happened to baptize my mom and the passing
of them like moving through.

Speaker 4 (52:57):
Wait, this is just small town easy on this such
a no, it's not.

Speaker 1 (53:01):
Everyone's like Georgia.

Speaker 2 (53:04):
Don't ruin this for us and Lily, Mate, Lily, that's
exactly spot on what we're asking for. We're living in
a simulation.

Speaker 1 (53:13):
How did that happen?

Speaker 6 (53:14):
How?

Speaker 8 (53:14):
How does it happen If they lived.

Speaker 2 (53:16):
There for their whole life, that's different.

Speaker 13 (53:19):
But they were moving from twosl Quick Pit Stop.

Speaker 8 (53:22):
And Tomru then up to Crost Street.

Speaker 2 (53:24):
Just happened to be of your mom and then yeah,
that's crazy.

Speaker 1 (53:29):
It's just a coincidence.

Speaker 2 (53:30):
Though, don't worry about her, Lily.

Speaker 3 (53:34):
We appreciate it. Great evidence. Let's talk to Naomi. Is
it Naomi?

Speaker 13 (53:42):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (53:43):
Naomi, tell us mate, in a simulation, what's the evidence.

Speaker 13 (53:48):
Okay, The evidence is I live just down the road
from a dothel ganger, someone who looks completely identical to me,
but I've never met her, and one of people around
me have met her. And I think the craziest thing
about this is I was out with my friends and
my ex partner went to my house and he thought

(54:08):
he saw me walking past, so he chased this poor
lady down the road. But it wasn't me, it was
my doppel ganger.

Speaker 4 (54:15):
Okay, that that's buzzy. That's buzzy. That's buzzy.

Speaker 3 (54:18):
Gee, what are the odds that you're both buzzy living
that close to each other and you look that similar?

Speaker 13 (54:26):
That's my I know we've never met, but a lot
of people around me have met her.

Speaker 3 (54:30):
So now are you terrified to meet her in case
she's an ugo?

Speaker 7 (54:34):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (54:35):
Yeah, kind of.

Speaker 13 (54:36):
I'm like, I don't know if I believe this, but
a lot of people have asked me and said, hey,
why didn't you talk to me in the weekend. I'm like,
that wasn't me.

Speaker 1 (54:43):
That sucks?

Speaker 8 (54:46):
Is she not?

Speaker 2 (54:47):
Are you not dying of like.

Speaker 3 (54:50):
Curiosity? You need to find out who this person is
and what they look like.

Speaker 5 (54:54):
We've tried.

Speaker 13 (54:55):
We've tried her Facebook, we've tried everything, and we can't
seem to find her. But she does it first. And Okay,
I said, she's been chased down the road.

Speaker 4 (55:03):
Did your partner chase her down the road?

Speaker 13 (55:06):
Yeah, my ex partner he did. He didn't a bit
creeped out.

Speaker 2 (55:09):
Now, what if it's a ghost of you. It's Naomi's
ghost ghost.

Speaker 13 (55:13):
But yeah, she dresses identical, apparently wears glasses.

Speaker 2 (55:16):
It's Naomi's ghosts.

Speaker 13 (55:18):
Yeah, it's my ghost apparently just walking around the streets
from where.

Speaker 2 (55:21):
I used to live. So just haunting you in all
your ex part and also this ghost or this person's
rude as well, like this ignores everyone.

Speaker 13 (55:30):
You know, I know, I know everyone's always like I
waved out to you, and I'm like, that wasn't me, Naomi.

Speaker 2 (55:37):
I'm so invested. Please call back if you do end
up meeting her.

Speaker 13 (55:41):
Okay, I definitely will if I ever find her.

Speaker 2 (55:43):
Yes, well, I'd love to know whether it's a ghost
or a real person. I need to know.

Speaker 13 (55:48):
What if that's a good question, yea, the ghost.

Speaker 1 (55:50):
What if they know who Naomi is and they're doing
this on purpose, They've changed the whole way of looking
just to be like Naomi.

Speaker 4 (55:58):
Okay, oh my god, that's crazy.

Speaker 3 (56:01):
The simulation that's got single white femaling, that's what that's called.
Let's talk to Eden more evidence as to why we're
living in a simulation.

Speaker 8 (56:11):
Eden.

Speaker 5 (56:12):
Hi, guys, I was in the car on a road
trip to a podokey telling my sister in law about
a crazy car that I'd seen in Hamilton with great
green It's number plate said shrimp and like I was like,
it was so cool. And then we pulled up to
an intersection and a podokey and that car came out. Whoa,

(56:36):
it was just crazy, like.

Speaker 3 (56:38):
That's the exact car and wait were literally talking about
it at the time, and then it appeared out of nowhere.

Speaker 2 (56:45):
Yeah, I was like, crazy car, Like crazy.

Speaker 5 (56:48):
Just appeared right in front of us, like we'd summoned it.

Speaker 1 (56:51):
That's just the one. That's that's that's that's weird.

Speaker 2 (56:55):
That one. You can understand.

Speaker 1 (56:57):
That's to be talking about it. And then the green
rick car rocks out and nowhere in different part of
the country. Crazy Eden.

Speaker 2 (57:03):
That's Buzzy G.

Speaker 13 (57:05):
It is so funny.

Speaker 1 (57:07):
So there, I believe in the simulations some.

Speaker 2 (57:09):
Of the thank you there's so much evidence, but we're
already going over time.

Speaker 1 (57:15):
We just so quickly break this one down because I
don't understand, Okay, they have tixt nine six nine sex
never seen a neighbor carry the groceries inside.

Speaker 3 (57:23):
Buzzy G. Neither neither have I. How do we get
the groceries inside? I've never seen people carry them in.
Oh my god, I feel so bad. As all these
texts that have come through, there's so much evidence. Maybe
we can do another break on this tomorrow. Yeah, I'm
down present the rest of the evidence.

Speaker 1 (57:43):
Yeah, I'm down to that.

Speaker 3 (57:44):
Why we're living in a simulation. We appreciate all the texts.
We will get to more of them tomorrow.

Speaker 4 (57:50):
TDMS Free and Clintic Podcast.

Speaker 2 (57:55):
Birthday Banger.

Speaker 3 (57:56):
This is Birthday Banger, the number one song when you
turn sixteen. That's what we figure out for you, and
then we'll play our favorite one out of the three
we agreed yesterday, didn't.

Speaker 1 (58:06):
We we DZ.

Speaker 4 (58:07):
I don't know if you just felt bad for me
or not.

Speaker 3 (58:09):
But nah, you're a guest on the show, you're filling
in for Clinton.

Speaker 1 (58:13):
And four minutes as a banger?

Speaker 3 (58:15):
Yeah, and I mean it's only three minutes. We figured
out that the song's not even four minutes. I know
they were three minutes fifty six or something.

Speaker 1 (58:22):
Which is actually a little bit of a shortcut route
they took there.

Speaker 3 (58:26):
Crazy. Let's figure out some more birthday bangers. Who's up first,
Jamie Afternoon afternoon.

Speaker 2 (58:34):
How's your day been? Jamie?

Speaker 11 (58:36):
Great?

Speaker 2 (58:36):
Thank you good to hear. Hey, mate, what is your birthday?

Speaker 6 (58:41):
The first of all, it's nineteen eighty nine.

Speaker 2 (58:43):
Right, Jamie.

Speaker 3 (58:43):
That means you were sixteen in the year two thousand
and five. We've done our calculations on your sixteenth birthday.
This was number one.

Speaker 1 (58:54):
I'm to Jamie, what do you reckon? Or for a moment?

Speaker 7 (58:59):
Who said a song for you?

Speaker 2 (59:01):
This was a moment in time, wasn't it? Axel crazy World? Yeah,
I feel like it suits you, Jamie.

Speaker 16 (59:08):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (59:09):
You give us a wee ding ding ding ding ding
ding ding ding.

Speaker 12 (59:13):
Ding.

Speaker 3 (59:14):
Wow, it's um Kenny, it's Unkenny. Okay, hold there could
win crazy to say. Let's talk to Elaine, Hi Lane, Hello, Hello,
good what have you been doing today?

Speaker 2 (59:27):
Elaine?

Speaker 12 (59:29):
Sucking?

Speaker 2 (59:31):
Well, let's try and make it go a bit faster.

Speaker 16 (59:33):
What is your birthday as the sixth of July in
nineteen ninety seven?

Speaker 3 (59:38):
All right, that means you were sixteen Elaine in twenty thirteen,
and on that day in twenty thirteen, this was at
the top.

Speaker 1 (59:46):
We lost, Oh banger, there's a certified banger.

Speaker 6 (59:51):
That's a throwback.

Speaker 2 (59:52):
Yeah, McLamore. That was huge from McLamore. Do you like it?

Speaker 5 (59:57):
Elaine, that's my favorite song.

Speaker 16 (01:00:03):
But it's not bad.

Speaker 4 (01:00:03):
It's bad, especially swaying towards X Leaf.

Speaker 2 (01:00:06):
I think, is that true or ange? Do you want
crazy from?

Speaker 2 (01:01:33):
They still got it.

Speaker 1 (01:01:34):
They do it and you you know what, Lee, that
would just top off the Birthday, I reckon.

Speaker 16 (01:01:39):
Wouldn't it would be amazing?

Speaker 3 (01:01:41):
Would they make your birthday for the year if we
played you breathless The Cause?

my nightmare.

Speaker 1 (01:07:33):
I think some of that. I think it's something anything exercise.

Speaker 2 (01:07:37):
Is it eating healthy?

Speaker 1 (01:07:39):
You're you're doing that?

Speaker 2 (01:07:41):
I know, but I don't like it. No, it's not fun.
It's a nightmare.

Speaker 11 (01:07:45):
And I know, George you're a gym shark.

Speaker 2 (01:07:47):
Freez a gym, but take it.

Speaker 12 (01:07:48):
Okay, So you're kind of in the right realm. I've
hit the nail on the head in a way.

Speaker 11 (01:07:53):
And in the meeting, Bree, you really hit.

Speaker 2 (01:07:55):
The nail on the head, did I?

Speaker 11 (01:07:57):
What did I say something about high drugs? How do
you say it?

Speaker 4 (01:08:01):
Hiro Hi rock hybrid rock star.

Speaker 2 (01:08:03):
Ella and I are on the safe. I don't really
know same wavelet high Rocks.

Speaker 12 (01:08:08):
Yes, okay, Yeah, so story has come out in Australia
where a couple have gotten proposed and engaged at a
done High Rocks event.

Speaker 11 (01:08:17):
Instantly go Georgia, dream night.

Speaker 4 (01:08:22):
Okay, I am so offended.

Speaker 3 (01:08:26):
I am with you. No, just picture this. Georgia crosses
the finish line.

Speaker 2 (01:08:32):
She looks up at the screen.

Speaker 3 (01:08:34):
I've done my peeb next minute, turns around. Your boyfriend, haym.
He's standing there. He's kneeling on one knee, going, Babe,
I want to be with you for the rest of my.

Speaker 11 (01:08:44):
George's sweaty just after doing something. Are you there?

Speaker 4 (01:08:48):
I look hotter when I'm sweaty.

Speaker 1 (01:08:49):
She's got something about bass, something about the sweatin and
the chest department always looks a little bitter, sweaty boobs.

Speaker 4 (01:08:56):
They look good when they're switty.

Speaker 2 (01:08:57):
Not mine.

Speaker 11 (01:08:58):
I knew it would be your dream, George.

Speaker 4 (01:09:00):
No, I'm not.

Speaker 11 (01:09:02):
Why didn't he propose to you at higher.

Speaker 1 (01:09:04):
This is hideous. There's a idea. This is a horrible idea.
Don't you look at me.

Speaker 2 (01:09:10):

Speaker 1 (01:09:13):
Them to the face. I will tell them, would you.

Speaker 3 (01:09:15):
Okay, here's the question, Because you're already married to him.
And obviously he didn't propose at a high rock.

Speaker 1 (01:09:21):
We were on a hike.

Speaker 3 (01:09:23):
Okay, it was not too far not too far removed
if he had proposed, because you were waiting for a
long time for this man to propose. If he had proposed,
like I just described the situation, are you saying yes, yes?

Speaker 1 (01:09:40):
The only reason.

Speaker 4 (01:09:42):
The only reason is two things.

Speaker 1 (01:09:44):
I would have been waiting a long time and be
kind of cool to do it in front of a
lot of people.

Speaker 11 (01:09:51):
You are one of those people.

Speaker 2 (01:09:53):
Oh my god, I'm so polar opposite when it comes
to that, but stop it, honest.

Speaker 1 (01:10:02):
I did love the intimacy of just us two. So yeah,
the other side of Georgia, which we found out, I'm
a gym and I so the other Gemini side of
me loves to do it in front of people.

Speaker 4 (01:10:13):
Not what not that.

Speaker 11 (01:10:17):
Stand down.

Speaker 4 (01:10:19):
The ZM podcast network.

Speaker 3 (01:10:23):
If you've never heard this before, it's pretty simple. Georgia,
who's filling in for Clint He's back next week. We

one word clues to our not opponents. Our teammates can
guess what our password is. If they guess at first,

Speaker 1 (01:11:09):
I'm locked and loaded.

Speaker 12 (01:11:11):
I'm writing like the password like usually Caughtia does it,
so I hope you did a good job.

Speaker 2 (01:11:15):

to go first or second?

Speaker 1 (01:11:18):

the password based on this clue. That that clue one
more time.

Speaker 12 (01:11:50):
I'm going to buzz you out in three seconds.

Speaker 3 (01:11:55):
Well Wolf, no, that wasn't it. Okay, George?

Speaker 4 (01:12:00):
All right, Kerrie, are we locked in?

Speaker 5 (01:12:03):

Speaker 2 (01:12:25):
My turn. Okay, Cecilia, we've got it.

Speaker 3 (01:12:27):

second clue.

Speaker 2 (01:12:33):
Treasure irate, but hold on.

Speaker 3 (01:12:40):
We haven't won yet. It means you, Georgia and Carrie
have one more.

Speaker 1 (01:12:45):

I give you this clue. Okay, you ready? Okay, Keen
remembering my first clue and then your second clue is Keen,
you got two Seas.

Speaker 3 (01:13:07):
Said, oh, so close.

Speaker 4 (01:13:11):
It was so close.

Speaker 1 (01:13:13):
Barbie was my word bug and was so good.

Speaker 2 (01:13:18):
Oh.

Speaker 1 (01:13:18):

of what Barbary like.

Speaker 3 (01:13:22):
Yeah, it wasn't to be today, Carrie, unlucky, my friend.
But Cecilia, you've picked up the fifty dollars.

Speaker 2 (01:13:30):
Well done. That is the past word.

Speaker 3 (01:13:33):
We play every day at this time, and we'll play
again tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (01:13:36):
That means you're on one win. I'm on one win
the decider.

Speaker 4 (01:13:40):
This is good tomorrow. Bring it on Wednesday.

Speaker 2 (01:13:44):

Speaker 4 (01:13:58):
We're out of here.

Speaker 1 (01:13:58):
You know what I'm gonna do tonight? What two things?
One is have some ice cream with some delicious black
boy peaches that my husband's mum preserved that's one.

Speaker 4 (01:14:09):
The other is listen to classical music.

Speaker 3 (01:14:12):
God, what a time to be alive at George's house.
Where's moy invine?

Speaker 1 (01:14:22):
You wish you were coming around, because wait till we
pay play. Let's get classical again later on this week,
and I'm gonna thrash you.

was can we play again?

Speaker 2 (01:14:37):
I can't lose. I've gotta play again.

Speaker 1 (01:14:40):
This is the unfortunate competitive side coming out of me.

Speaker 2 (01:14:44):
Imagine if you first producer Ella, it'd be a blood bath.

Speaker 1 (01:14:48):
She's just shaken.

Speaker 2 (01:14:49):
I reckon producer Ella is the most competitive person on
our show.

Speaker 11 (01:14:53):
Oh that is an honor and a title I'll take.

Speaker 2 (01:14:55):
I mean you and I are up there, Clint says
not he is.

Speaker 11 (01:15:02):
He is, but in different ways.

Speaker 4 (01:15:04):
Yeah, she's more relaxed about today.

Speaker 3 (01:15:06):
Oh no, I've just gotten better at hiding how competitive I.

Speaker 11 (01:15:10):
That's what I need to figure out.

Speaker 2 (01:15:11):
You'll get there. You're young, You'll get there.

Speaker 11 (01:15:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 12 (01:15:14):
It turns out yelling on the radio isn't the best
to listen to. So yeah, anyway, have fun with your peaches, George.

Speaker 2 (01:15:21):
Peaches and classical music. But I wait to hear about
that tomorrow.

Speaker 4 (01:15:25):
