Speaker 8 (05:08):
I just want to go on record as saying this,
if you ever see me join a run club. There's
no other explanation. That is a hostage situation. And I
would love if you could act accordingly, contact the necessary authorities,
you know, follow their lead. I would just appreciate if
you could act on kind of the seriousness of that situation.
Speaker 3 (05:30):
This still accounts for me because I couldn't think of
anything worse than a run club. Really, honestly, I get
invited to run clubs all the time, and I don't
know how to tell people that I don't like people.
But also I don't like running with people. Oh so
because I listen to my book, how can I listen
to my book.
Speaker 2 (05:47):
If I'm I'm right.
Speaker 3 (05:50):
Okay, I don't like a run club. So that actually
still that pertains to me too.

because I actually sometimes do it and people come up
to me and say are you okay? And I usually
say no, I'm very drunk.
Speaker 2 (06:31):
It's because you've made too big a deal of telling
people that you don't eat animals with eyelash.
Speaker 3 (06:36):
I know, yeah, yeah, but sometimes when I get really like,
so I've just been to Las Vegas, Yeah, and an

I just want to go on record as saying this,
have you ever.
Speaker 10 (07:45):
Seen me eating a steak and cheese pie?
Speaker 9 (07:49):

Speaker 10 (07:49):

The free?
Speaker 3 (08:11):
Fearful fearful?
Speaker 10 (08:12):
Absolutely not.
Speaker 2 (08:14):
It's so fun though, if you guys ever see me.
Do you know those guys who stand outside all day
and smoke meats smoking three barbecues going, and they start
first morning with their meat inside tinfoil, and then later
on the day they're like the mushtar meter and chick
my meat.
Speaker 9 (08:35):
That is a hostage situation.
Speaker 3 (08:37):
That will be people sit in the alarm at four
a year, get up. They get this big hunk. Do
they tell the animal?
Speaker 2 (08:46):
Do they go out and hunt for it?
Speaker 4 (08:49):
It takes that long to smoke it.
Speaker 3 (08:50):
Really, You've got to keep like got to keep and
they get so excited they just froth that.
Speaker 4 (08:56):
I see that for you, Clint, I'm not writing that
off you.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
Fortunately, it's a little bit close to home.
Speaker 3 (09:01):
And glasses on and get the little meat thing to
see at the temperatures right, I'll.
Speaker 2 (09:06):
Do my chicken sausages on the web and that will
do me. Thank you very much. KFC's double Down. It's

by desperate need to win Olivia Dean tickets, which we
are feeling a lot of. We see you, we hear you,
we feel you. We can see your text messages as well.
We have one more double pass one more. It's going
(09:27):
to be given away five o'clock. Okay, between four and
five o'clock, So good luck everyone.
Speaker 1 (09:35):
This is the tea.
Speaker 2 (09:38):
This shocked me to learn that you, Caitlyn Merritt, were
not a Gilmore girl.
Speaker 3 (09:42):
And I'm a classic case of a girl More girl watcher.
Speaker 2 (09:46):
I know that you're a sitter for the guy.
Speaker 3 (09:48):
I have never seen an episode. I only know the
main girl because she was in the Sister of the
Trailing Pants, which I've seen about six times.
Speaker 2 (09:56):
Rory, Yeah, the daughter, the daughter. Yeah, Claudia. You a Girlmore?
Speaker 7 (10:00):
Yeah, I was a huge Gilmore Okay.
Speaker 2 (10:02):
You might be excited about this. It's officially getting an
HBO Max documentary to celebrate twenty five years of Gilmore Girls.
Speaker 9 (10:09):
We could do a documentary.
Speaker 2 (10:10):
Into a documentary, I'm not much for like a sequel
or that, like a you know, are you into the reboot?
Speaker 10 (10:14):
No?
Speaker 4 (10:14):
I tried and I found it a bit a bit flat.
Speaker 2 (10:17):
So it says that the doco is going to feature
Lauren Graham, who's the mum Laura I. It's going to
feature the creators, which boring her kids, and then it
says other cast and crew. It doesn't say whether Rory
will be in it, and it doesn't say if Melissa
McCarthy from the twenty twenty one film thunder Force will
(10:38):
be in it.
Speaker 4 (10:39):
Maybe she's too famous now, she could be. She was
in the movie The Heat with Sandra Bullock and that's great.
Speaker 2 (10:44):
Yeah, yeah, were you into the reboot? Wasn't any good?
And was Melissa McCarthy in the rebook? I don't remember
her being in it.
Speaker 4 (10:52):
And I remember trying to watch the reboot and just
feeling a bit.
Speaker 2 (10:55):
Yeah about it, Like yeah, I don't feel like it
was a hat.
Speaker 3 (10:57):
It wasn't what I wanted from it.
Speaker 2 (10:59):
It's for the twin fifth anniversary. By the way, if
that makes you feel old, it.
Speaker 4 (11:03):
Really does, thank you, because I'm only twenty seven.
Speaker 3 (11:06):
How does that work? I don't know.
Speaker 2 (11:07):
Well, to be fair, I think I went for like
seven seasons, so you might have got on it late.
Speaker 7 (11:12):
Yeah, right at the end after.
Speaker 2 (11:16):
Anyway, that's the Tea Gilmore Girls doco on the way,
Kaylin Merrit's filling in it to last day. Oh you
know it's not sad your patience, Well, I'll be so happy.
And I have been listening.
Speaker 3 (11:33):
Oh god.
Speaker 2 (11:36):
We went for celebratory lunch today to say thank you
in Farewell to Caitlin, and at lunch, our producer Ella
revealed something about herself, which do we have permission to.
Speaker 10 (11:46):
Talk about this as long as everyone listening promises to
be nice?
Speaker 2 (11:51):
Okay, we'll be nice.
Speaker 3 (11:52):
She kind of just came out with it and we
all sort of like it was normal, and then we
sort of looked at her and light really.
Speaker 2 (11:57):
Yeah, just so you know, it made me think elderly thoughts.
Speaker 10 (12:01):
Yeah, okay, well, okay, tell us what's going on with you?
You know when you've got a beard, you get your water,
you get your pj's on, brush your teeth sometimes all
the time.
Speaker 3 (12:12):
Now I have.
Speaker 10 (12:14):
To put on Ryan's my husband's running socks because they're
compression and it's something like I cannot fall asleep now
without these socks because my feet need to be squished.
Speaker 3 (12:25):
Okay, so it's your.
Speaker 10 (12:27):
Feet, not your although he has compression tights and I've
slept with them once.
Speaker 9 (12:32):
They're nice too.
Speaker 1 (12:33):
What is wrong?
Speaker 2 (12:34):
Have you always worn socks?
Speaker 3 (12:36):
Yeah? But I need them tie?
Speaker 2 (12:38):
How old are you? Twenty five and you're already needing
to sleep in compressions?
Speaker 3 (12:43):
No, it's silly.
Speaker 10 (12:43):
Don't you wear them for the plane?
Speaker 2 (12:45):
You do well?
Speaker 7 (12:46):
And DVT blood clots.
Speaker 2 (12:48):
Just fairly medical thing. Aricus veins. You're any varicus veins?
Speaker 3 (12:52):
Can you check well?
Speaker 7 (12:54):
You'd know I rip my feet off healthy, there's nothing
wrong with it.
Speaker 3 (12:57):
It's actually probably quite healthy.
Speaker 2 (12:59):
Thing is from really healthy and you probably get some
crazy health benefits circulation wise out of it that we're
not aware of. Yeah, but you know, it's not like
sixty twenty five climbing into beard behavior and they're.
Speaker 3 (13:10):
Not easy to take off. So if you and Ryan
want to get down to it. I don't worry about
leaving them off.
Speaker 7 (13:15):
My big toe's gotten.
Speaker 10 (13:17):
Really strong and I just somehow like put it in
between the stop.
Speaker 2 (13:21):
That's how you know they're only up to be a
one year anniversary, because she's still taking off her compression
socks to do the neody rudy. Given a couple of years,
you won't bother. I'm throwing stones from my glasshouse. And look,
I'm not claiming to be as young as Ella, right,
but you know I'm not over the hell. But since
(13:42):
I was Ella's age, I've been taking And I only
going to say this because if I don't say it,
someone will text and or B will ring up and
say it. I'm on bloody daily gout medication.
Speaker 3 (13:52):
Yeah you told me the gout because I asked Cent
the other day. I love asking people what medications they take,
which is a personal question.
Speaker 7 (13:58):
You have to like be picking.
Speaker 3 (14:00):
And then he's like, I'm on alparano and I was like,
I beg.
Speaker 2 (14:03):
You'll, I don't ask you to give out my prescription.
Speaker 3 (14:06):
Sorry, well then there's the gout medication. But so and
he takes this.
Speaker 2 (14:14):
Much, I'm taking myself off it. I've just got no
no no, don't do myself. I don't care. I said,
I'm sick of being a young man on gout medications.
He's going to stop taking it.
Speaker 3 (14:31):
That's not how it works.
Speaker 2 (14:32):
If you need to take a medication, it's not heart medication. Okay,
I'm not going to die from You're going.
Speaker 10 (14:37):
To get gout now though? Is that on your feet?
Speaker 2 (14:39):
No, I'm cured. Gout is a state of mind. I'm cured.
Speaker 3 (14:44):
Just when you're near then this miracle.
Speaker 2 (14:47):
The question is the question is what's the thing about
you that makes you elderly before your time?
Speaker 3 (14:53):
I have realized that I've started saying a few things
that my mum and or my nanny used to say
when she was here. For crying out loud, that's about old, for.
Speaker 2 (15:03):
Crying out loud, like something, I'm inconvenient for crying out loud,
crying out loud and then also gives me strength, Oh
for Cripe's sake.
Speaker 3 (15:13):
Heavens forbids. It just makes me sound a little bit old.
And then so I follow it up quickly with bit
and swag swag and.
Speaker 7 (15:22):
Slag slag queen swag, queen.
Speaker 2 (15:25):
Hundred dollars at this is a sharing time Okay, it's
not a call for Olivia Dean time because that activator
is later. This is a sharing time and it's also
a safe space. Al asked for a safe space. This
is a safe space. Although you guys will bullied me
for my gama, so we.
Speaker 3 (15:44):
Won't judge anyone else.
Speaker 2 (15:45):

you olderly before your time? Are you a twenty one

break and texted him to say that.
Speaker 3 (16:02):
He clearly should keep going on it. The York build
up is going.

To rip it up and rip Okay, old man, we said,
what makes you elderly before your time? Someone said, I'm
thirty and I've been on blood medic blood pressure medication
since I was twenty one. Makes me feel ancient. Yeah,
but how good is you blood pressure?
Speaker 3 (20:06):
Paulina's thirty two who spotified Spotify age is seventy nine.
Speaker 2 (20:13):
Wow. I get into bed at eight pm. I'm asleep
before eight thirty. I am bloody twenty nine.
Speaker 3 (20:20):
Hey, there is actually nothing better than going to be
at LA.
Speaker 2 (20:23):
Yeah, but you've got your thirties to do that, you know,
I'm twenty. My hip pops out all the time. Oh
that sucks. We used to give my friends so much
crap about being old because she had regular chiropractic appointments
for her back at eighteen. Oh maybe she's said a
wonky back.
Speaker 7 (20:42):
You know, I met with my nan. That's cute.
Speaker 2 (20:44):
That's cute.
Speaker 3 (20:45):
That's really good.
Speaker 2 (20:46):
It's kind of chic these days too.
Speaker 3 (20:47):
Yeah, crossed it.
Speaker 2 (20:50):
With your way. You're getting elderly before your time. Someone
said the level of excitement that I get from household appliances.
Speaker 3 (20:56):
Oh, I feel that.
Speaker 2 (20:57):
Oh we feel that.
Speaker 3 (20:57):
I feel that. And then we see lots of messages
coming through about high blood pressure around the livey Dean competitions.
Speaker 2 (21:03):
So that's just yeah, No, that's all on us doing that.
Speaker 3 (21:11):
We shouldn't be given give people's blood pressure so high.
Speaker 2 (21:15):
Well, yeah, if you guys need some spear gout medication,
I've got some.
Speaker 1 (21:20):
The Z podcast Network.
Speaker 2 (21:23):
Have you seen the new BRA doping trend that's happening? Sorry,
what bra doping? And it is what it sounds like.
It's bras, it's booby holders, ladies, bras.
Speaker 3 (21:32):
Yes, it's not yes, thank you, yeah, explaining a bra
to me clip.
Speaker 2 (21:36):
It's not like shu bra ah, yes right, actual, yeah, okay.
Female cyclists in the Tour de France are being accused
of padding their bras to make their chests appear larger,
and it's not for esthetic reasons. It's to create a
more aerodynamic shape that reduces wind resistance in their time trials,
(21:58):
so they go faster on their bike. Really, who would
have thought?
Speaker 3 (22:02):
Is that?
Speaker 7 (22:02):
Because wait, this might sound dumb, do I say it?
Speaker 2 (22:07):
Yes?
Speaker 7 (22:07):
Is that because wind can go in between the boobies?
Speaker 2 (22:11):
Nah? I don't know. I don't know either, but I
don't think it's that. I think it's kind of like
it's just like the curvature thing. I don't know. I
don't know particularly how it works. There was a big
trend at the Winter Olympics, which were last year, I
think where the skiers, you know, the skiers that go
down the super super super long ramp and then they
(22:32):
launch off and then they fly those scars. They found
that the male athletes were stuffing their willy zone inside
the ski suits will Yeah, so it looked like they
had a big dogger and it wasn't so that on
the camera they had a big dogger. It was for
aerodynamic reasons too.
Speaker 3 (22:51):
What you think it would weigh you down.
Speaker 2 (22:53):
Well, this is the thing, because you get all the
appearance of a big dogger or big boobies. Yeah, but
none of the weight because it's just stuffing. It could
be tissue paper, it could be inflatables, it could be
it could be anything.
Speaker 3 (23:07):
See I purposely take out the padding and the bras.
Speaker 2 (23:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (23:11):
I don't know if anyone needs to know that, just
for fun quick.
Speaker 2 (23:14):
Fact about Caitlin for performance reasons.
Speaker 3 (23:17):
Yes, makes me go faster in the life.
Speaker 2 (23:20):
No, it doesn't.
Speaker 3 (23:21):
No, just because it's uncomfortable and they're like padding you
don't want adding.
Speaker 2 (23:25):
It's called chest fairing the breast one.
Speaker 3 (23:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (23:28):
They say that it could reduce drag by three point
six percent, which is not nothing. Anyway. It got me
thinking you could do this for your ultra marathon. Head,
you can do brad opening for the ultra marathon.
Speaker 3 (23:42):
Right, okay, because it would make me go faster apparently.
Speaker 2 (23:45):
Well yeah, you know iu drag. I am going to
run DeKay Ultra Marathon.
Speaker 3 (23:50):
And I'm hoping to come first. Actually, Cleinser, that's why
I need to make sure that on the extra fis Yeah. No,
I mean, well this is what about yesterday with my
boyfriend that wears the half times. Apparently it makes him
go fast.
Speaker 2 (24:04):
Good stuff. Those two either way, either way, whether you
do it or not, and whether you whether you win,
whether it makes you go faster or not. At least
on Instagram pictures, people will go, damn, damn, I'm going
to go to an next marathon. Yeah, gross, guys, gross,
(24:26):
grow up.
Speaker 1 (24:27):
It's z it ms brilling Clinton podcast.
Speaker 2 (24:30):
Are you the sort of person who has a little
scroll to unwind to relate?
Speaker 3 (24:35):
Absolutely? I even ever tie him on my phone to
tell me to get off my phone.
Speaker 2 (24:38):
Do you that's proactive?
Speaker 3 (24:39):
I know, but I shut it off and pops up
and it's one more minute, or just turn me off
for today, and I might turn you off. I need
my scroll.
Speaker 2 (24:46):
I installed the one on Instagram, the daily Timer, and
so it says, hey, you've chosen to have two hours
of Instagram today and you have reached your limit. Would
you like fifteen extra minutes? Yeah, one extra hour? Or
ignore for two day? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (25:01):
Every time?
Speaker 2 (25:02):
Every time, Ignore for two day.
Speaker 3 (25:04):
And you're like, oh my god, you just go in
front of my video get out.
Speaker 2 (25:07):
And then I'm like, oh my god, I can't believe
I'm getting this notification at breakfast. I'm doing really well today.
This is bad news if you're a scroll relaxer, which
we all are. We talked about like when you go
on holiday with your partner and you go and see
all these sights and do all these active things, and
then you go back to the hotel before dinner and
you both have like forty five minutes where you lie
on the bed and don't talk to each other. Yea,
(25:27):
and just use the hotel Wi fi to scroll your phone.
Speaker 7 (25:30):
It's probably my favorite part. No, it's not bad.
Speaker 3 (25:32):
You need it.
Speaker 7 (25:33):
It's like a little it's just a little relax time.
Speaker 2 (25:36):
This is bad news. Researchers say that scrolling to relax
after work or whatever may actually leave you feeling more
stressed and more mentally drained.
Speaker 3 (25:47):
Is it because you're watching like you're overstimulated by all
of the videos that you're seeing.
Speaker 2 (25:54):
A little bit sounds, they said. The biggest reason is
the infinite scroll. There is no end to TikTok, Instagram,
whatever you use. It removes a natural stopping point that
gives you like a satisfaction. You go, oh my god,
that was great. I gave myself fifteen minutes and I
finished Instagram. It's never gonna happen, is it. They also said,
(26:16):
even if you're watching funny or harmless content, your brain
is constantly processing more information and it never switches into
rest mode because it's always just like, Okay, what are
we looking at? What are we looking at? What are
we looking at? And this is the other bit that
I'd kind of thought about, but I'd never quite truly
been able to put it in words. It said, one
(26:37):
of the worst parts is the emotional rollercoaster of scrolling
something like TikTok, because one minute you'll be watching a
funny real and the next one you're seeing some really
upsetting news from shit you should care about or something
like that, and then you flick over to a cooking
video and then you're watching a video of a monkey
stealing someone's hat. You know, how is your body meant?
(27:00):
I've had that where I've watched like a video and
it's like a tribute someone has done to their father
who passed away, and I've gone through the album and
I've read this beautiful message and I'm like, oh my gosh,
there's heartbreaking. I can't imagine if that sort of thing happened.
I wonder how they're doing. I wonder how their siblings
are feeling about this.
Speaker 11 (27:18):
Haha.
Speaker 2 (27:19):
Funny video from The Inspired Unemployed.
Speaker 3 (27:22):
You know, yeah, it is really bad, and you know
we should be reading books.
Speaker 2 (27:27):
Well, that's when you're truly mature, and that says that
is what you should do. I said, if you want
to truly unwind, you need to do something with a
clear beginning and end, like say, I'm going to read
a chapter of my book. I'm going to go for
a walk from here to here. I'm going to do
this amount of stretching. I'm going to listen to this music.
(27:49):
I'm going to chat to my friend Clint for ten minutes.
Speaker 3 (27:54):
Because that's the thing you don't actually like when you
do that doom scrolling like this morning, when you scroll,
name one thing that you remember from saying.
Speaker 2 (28:01):
I can't exactly. None of it goes bad.
Speaker 7 (28:05):
But then it also gives you a little dopaming.
Speaker 2 (28:08):
It was bad this morning. We were having breakfast, and
my seven year old daughter too. He said to me, Dad,
how come you're on your phone at breakfast to naughty Day?
Speaker 3 (28:18):
I felt awful, Oh that would have got yeah.
Speaker 2 (28:22):
And I said, now I have to watch this again.
Speaker 1 (28:26):
It's M's Brinklin Podcast.
Speaker 2 (28:29):

Speaker 12 (29:56):

through the hardest.
Speaker 9 (30:08):
But lead alone?

They're going to do that one, Georgia, Georgia. Before we
(31:07):

take a breath so I know you're okay.
Speaker 3 (31:12):
You're okay.
Speaker 2 (31:15):
If you need CPR or something, well, oh, my god, God,
we're back up this.
Speaker 1 (31:26):
Bankland.
Speaker 2 (31:28):
Caitlyn's here filling in for Bree while she's off on
baby leave. But it's your last day. It's your last day.
We're losing you back to Autotahi krash shirt. We're losing
You're losing you back to the nursing profession.
Speaker 3 (31:38):
I've had the best time. It's been a lovely break
from scrubs. But I'm ready to get back into it.
Of miss being on the floor, Okay, I do.
Speaker 7 (31:47):
Just before I go, though, have a story that I
need to tell you that.
Speaker 3 (31:51):
It doesn't make me sound that great, but it's kind
of a fun story, and I kind of want to
hear some other people's funny nightmare story. Okay, sure, okay,
So this happened to me on night chef. Now, if
you've ever done night shift, you're a dad though, so
I feel like, potentially, and you used to be a
big raver, you know, big partier, Yeah, and go out
and stay out all night. I think that's what helped
(32:12):
me for the night shift.
Speaker 2 (32:14):
Yeah right, okay, but it's hard.
Speaker 3 (32:16):
It's hard work, and I do eight hour night chefts
every you know, so offten once a month, kind of thing,
and you have to go in and she co on
the patients, right, because that's part of your job one
hundred percent. Well, yeah, you've got to make sure that
they're okay. So I just remember quite soon into my
(32:37):
nursing career going and checking on this patient in the
middle of the night, and I just like to I
like to be really quiet when I go in, just
to try and not wake them up and startle them
too much because it's someone coming into the dark, dark.
Speaker 2 (32:47):
Room, and I freak out when I get working up
one hundred percent.
Speaker 3 (32:51):
So I'm going and I'm going, like, no, idea what
her name was, Let's call her Carolyn, Carolyn, Carolyn, Carolyn.
I'm just I like to touch them on the like
the foot, all the all the league, just like a
lot of like tap or like no, probably more like
on the on the calf or something, top of the phone.
I'm just like touching it. I'm going, Caroline, Caroline, I'm touching.
(33:14):
She's not waking up, and I'm going Caroline. And I
did it and I went and I looked.
Speaker 5 (33:22):
No.
Speaker 3 (33:23):
Well, I just was like, Okay, now do I need
to like, you know, pressy im?
Speaker 2 (33:26):
Do I need some help?
Speaker 3 (33:27):
When here do I need to? And I looked over
her and she goes, she got this massive, big fry
and was awake. But that's because I'd forgotten that she
was paralyzed from the waist down.
Speaker 9 (33:37):
So that was.
Speaker 3 (33:42):
One of the moments where you go, okay. So anyway,
I gave you a really and then we laughed about it,
and then we moved on, can you feel your legs? No,
I'm outside.
Speaker 9 (34:03):
Away.
Speaker 2 (34:04):
At least she wouldn't have known that you were touching
her leaks.
Speaker 3 (34:07):
No, she was technicing her fair I wasn't.
Speaker 2 (34:10):
I don't speaking the mone She couldn't feel it until
she was asleep.
Speaker 3 (34:13):
So anyway, I'd love to hear from my fellow nurses
healthcare professional.
Speaker 2 (34:21):
We've done workplace nightmares before, but I really want to
focus it in on the nurses. And you're right, the
healthcare professionals.
Speaker 3 (34:29):
I'm sure there's some out there, and if.
Speaker 2 (34:33):
You're allowed to tell us, we would love to have
it on.
Speaker 1 (34:36):
The Tams, Brie and Clint podcast.
Speaker 2 (34:40):
Stiffany's here, Hi Steffani, Hi nurse Stiffani.
Speaker 3 (34:45):
Not anymore?
Speaker 2 (34:46):
Okay, Okay, what was what was your nursing nightmare? And
is it the reason you're not a nurse anymore.
Speaker 9 (34:52):
No.
Speaker 12 (34:53):
I was the nursing student at the time, so I
was nineteen, and I was looking after an older gentleman
who had had a stroke, and it meant that he
was paralyzed from the waist.
Speaker 13 (35:04):
Down and his arms were also paralyzed.
Speaker 2 (35:07):
Oh no, okay.
Speaker 13 (35:08):
So as the weeks went by, one morning I was
helping him shower and his johnson started working again.
Speaker 2 (35:20):
Out of the blue. Mm hmmm, yeah okay, and.
Speaker 6 (35:25):
He tried, very very diligently, with his semi paralyzed to
cover it up with a lannel. Oh he got He
was progressively more embarrassed, and I went red and then yeah.
Speaker 2 (35:39):
Because you're only a trainee. I know you nurses are
all incredible professionals, but if you're only an eighteen year
old trainee.
Speaker 3 (35:46):
That's hard.
Speaker 2 (35:47):
I think I think that was the problem. I think
that was.
Speaker 12 (35:53):
Yeah, so it was.
Speaker 11 (35:54):
It was very awkward.
Speaker 6 (35:56):
Yeah, we recovered.
Speaker 12 (35:57):
I was still in nurse for several years after that.
Speaker 2 (35:59):
Okay, cool, okay, cool, Glad it didn't end the job prematurely. Yeah,
you can be the wrong choice of word too, Okay. Thanks.
We asked for your nursing nightmares and There are some
incredible texts that have come in. Someone said, I'm an
ambulance officer and while assessing a male patient at home,
I turned to his daughter and asked, does your dad
(36:22):
have a list of his prescription medications? She replied with, uh,
that's my husband.
Speaker 11 (36:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (36:30):
Always ask never assume, never ever, ever assume.
Speaker 3 (36:34):
What about the school nurse whose student came in to
say that he had been second class and she was
all ready to send him home, but then he proceeded
to pull out his lunch box with the vomit in it.
Half I've been sopping through his entire bag. He still
wanted to eat his chicken rat.
Speaker 7 (36:51):
No, you are specially school nurses.
Speaker 2 (36:56):
Oh man. And then you'd be like, oh am I
going to get that? Do I have the tummy bug? Now?
Someone said I love me because you said yours ha
been on a night shift. They said, I love me
a night shift. But that's when the crazy and people
comes out. Is that true?
Speaker 3 (37:11):
Full moons? Full moons? Honestly, I can't explain it, not explain.
Speaker 2 (37:16):
What's the Canterbury one? The northwester Oh, there's something about
the direction that the wind blows in Canterbury. And then
everyone says that we go crazy.
Speaker 3 (37:24):
Honestly, I can't explain. I don't know why, but yeah,
they're crazy.
Speaker 2 (37:28):
Not quite a nurse, but I'm a physio and I
have had a few crackers. I said to a patient,
isn't it a beautiful view from here? The mountain looks amazing,
to which they replied, I don't know. I'm blind. Same
person they said, I said to an amputee the day
(37:48):
after their surgery, don't worry, We're not going to run
a marathon. How does that even come up?
Speaker 3 (37:54):
In compass? Sometimes though, like you just I don't know.
Speaker 2 (37:59):
That power is seen where he's like, don't say mold,
don't say mold, don't say mole, Moully, Mully, Molly Mullen, Mully,
Molly Molly. I've also gone to perform a mobility assessment
on someone whose daughter said, you do realize that they've
been bid bound for years, don't you?
Speaker 10 (38:17):
I am.
Speaker 2 (38:18):
That's in the right place, though.
Speaker 3 (38:20):
No I know, and just sometimes I mean and this
actually I really want to read this text out because
it's kind of some some nursing and stuff up for us. Unfortunately,
after thirty years of nursing, I can safely say, even
though we have to put up with verbal and sometimes physical,
we don't get paid enough, and most of us would
not choose another profession. The fun and laughter we have
with our nursing colleagues makes up for it. And I definitely, yeah,
(38:43):
I definitely agree with.
Speaker 2 (38:44):
That as a beautiful message. It's an important sentiment. But
pay nurses more. Yeahs Olivia Dean day is done. Tomorrow
morning at eight am, Fletchborne and Haley announced Zidim's next
big thing, birthday, Right, Neil, though, Let's do three birthday bangers.
(39:08):
The number one song the day that you turned sixteen,
and Jane is going to go first. Hi Jane, Hi, yodda.
Has your day been, Jane? Not bad?
Speaker 12 (39:18):
Thank you?

Speaker 2 (39:19):
You're not bad either? Thanks, You're pretty good. Actually, what's
your day to birth? Jane? That's to your birthday banger?
Speaker 12 (39:25):
It's the nineteenth of January two thousand and.
Speaker 2 (39:28):
Five, okay, you were sixteen, and the nineteenth of January

the number one song.
Speaker 9 (39:36):

Speaker 2 (39:44):

Speaker 10 (39:48):

Speaker 14 (39:50):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (39:50):
I quite like your music.
Speaker 9 (39:52):
Yeah, seteen one.
Speaker 2 (39:54):
Yeah, this is such a great song.
Speaker 3 (39:56):
I do believe it's a song.
Speaker 14 (39:57):
I know.
Speaker 2 (39:57):
This is in my top five pop songs of the decade.
Speaker 5 (40:00):
Wow, you've search for for no eye drive along past
your Street and that's not even the best.
Speaker 2 (40:07):
But okay, wait there, Jane, let's do Reagan's birthday banger? Hi, Reagan, wool.
Speaker 3 (40:14):
Sorry for some reason, like you might have been a
woman many I was exmitting a lady's voice.
Speaker 2 (40:18):
Reagan.
Speaker 3 (40:19):
All right, Reagan?
Speaker 2 (40:19):
And then.
Speaker 3 (40:22):
Hey, Reagan, how's the guy?
Speaker 2 (40:24):
Only could have been better if Reagan went, oh, I
am a lady, Reagan the manly man? What's your day
to man? What's your day of birth? Reagan? Good man?
All right?
Speaker 14 (40:38):
You?
Speaker 2 (40:39):
I really like Regan. It just goes a few words.
Sixteen and twenty sixteen. Here's your birthday banger? Twenty sixteen banger?
What do you reckon? REGs?
Speaker 3 (40:59):
Do you like it? Do you like being called Rakes?
Speaker 5 (41:03):
Ye?
Speaker 4 (41:04):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (41:06):
Good, good god.
Speaker 2 (41:08):
He's kind a voice of a man much older than
twenty six too, doesn't he?
Speaker 3 (41:12):
I really like it. You should do some ads. Come in.
We'll put you on the ear berfect bloody, are right?
Speaker 2 (41:18):
I will one more for Jamie. Hi, Jamie, Hello, we

mean of us before I know you've got a nice voice, Jamie.
Speaker 12 (41:28):
Thank you radio.
Speaker 3 (41:30):
Yeah, go on, come on and we'll put you on
on ever I gets gone here?
Speaker 2 (41:33):
Can you say hits and throwbacks on ZIDIM?
Speaker 6 (41:37):
What's and throwbacks on ZDM?
Speaker 2 (41:39):
Pretty good?
Speaker 3 (41:40):
It was perfect?
Speaker 2 (41:40):
Can we get there for a John? Hang on? Can
we get that from Reagan as well? Jeez? That's good?
Speaker 3 (41:47):
That was nice.
Speaker 2 (41:47):
Okay, wait there, where's Jamie? This year? Is what's your
day to birth? Jamie?
Speaker 3 (41:52):
The thirty first of March nineteen ninety six?
Speaker 2 (41:54):
Very good? You were sixteen on the thirty first of
March twenty twelve, and on your sixteenth birthday, Jamie, this
was the number one song This is Crazy from Carlie Ray.
Probably Carlie Ray Gibson's best song.
Speaker 3 (42:15):
She yells.
Speaker 2 (42:17):
What do you reckon? Jamie?
Speaker 12 (42:19):
Well, it's probably the most iconic song of my sixteenth.
Speaker 2 (42:22):
Yeah, yeah, okay. Is there a story behind.
Speaker 9 (42:27):
That or.
Speaker 14 (42:29):
I just think it was everywhere?
Speaker 2 (42:30):
Was yeah? Yeah? Right? Okay, yeah, very good. Wait there
we're going to choose between Major Laser Olivia Rodrigo and
Carlie Ray.
Speaker 7 (42:38):
Hands down, Carli Ray, really, I love it.
Speaker 2 (42:47):
I'm voting for major laser Boo means we have to
go to Claudio Audio, which means Cordia has a strong
opinion to Claudia.
Speaker 3 (42:58):
I just thought you were.
Speaker 4 (42:58):
Hyping up driver's license so much. I thought you were
going to vote for that, so I was just surprised
you went that way.
Speaker 2 (43:03):
Yeah, I was. Are you right about that?
Speaker 3 (43:05):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (43:05):
And nothing personal.
Speaker 2 (43:06):
I just want to see how excited Caitlin gets. I'm
going home, Jamie, Jamie, you won't Birthday bang A well done?
Speaker 12 (43:15):
It is.
Speaker 1 (43:18):
Left Zans Brandon, Clint.
Speaker 2 (43:23):
Calie Ray is the winner of Birthday Banging today. For
Jamie it was number one and twenty twelve was it
everything you hoped it would be.
Speaker 3 (43:29):
We're all winners today, Clint, whoa, that was good. I'm buffed.
Speaker 2 (43:38):
This is the person who runs long distances to audio books.
Why don't you run to the way you were hyped
up there? Why don't you run to twenty ten's pop music?
I bring them in when I'm in the depths, okay.
Speaker 3 (43:50):
So like I'll have Justin Baber say nervous never and
then I and then and then I get rapped up,
and then I can run again, and then I have
to can run another twenty k.
Speaker 2 (43:58):
You know what about when you hear Shanaia anger, Let's go.
Speaker 7 (44:01):
Girls, Let's go go.
Speaker 2 (44:03):
Yeah, yeah, podcast. I want to know if you've thrown
something away by accident before, because this story today is
out the gate. It's probably the worst version of it
of throwing something away by accident. Oh, unless you threw
away NaN's ashes or something.
Speaker 3 (44:20):
But you're going to say like a child or.
Speaker 2 (44:22):
Oh that's pretty bad too. Okay, all right, there's always worse.
Speaker 3 (44:26):
There's always worse, but this is Yeah.
Speaker 2 (44:28):
There's a lady in the news today from Italy who
threw away a winning lotto ticket. Yeah, it was a
one million euro winning ticket. So you do the math.
How many dollars is that?
Speaker 3 (44:39):
Two?
Speaker 2 (44:41):
Or three?
Speaker 11 (44:41):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (44:42):
Isn't it two million?
Speaker 3 (44:44):
Yeah? Through in the bin, So hang on, Sorry, excuse
my ignorance worth lotto because I've never bought a ticket before.
Speaker 2 (44:51):
Not no, oh my god, I know the opposite of me.
Speaker 3 (44:53):
I just don't know.
Speaker 2 (44:54):
I've never not bought a ticket.
Speaker 3 (44:56):
Yeah, I just it freaks me out. So I just
don't know.
Speaker 2 (44:58):
Both one Loto the same amount of times.
Speaker 3 (45:01):
So isn't there like some kind of.
Speaker 2 (45:05):
Like recording of it. No, No, that's the crazy thing.
If you buy a paper ticket, you have to have
the paper ticket. They won't accept a photo. What about
a receipt, They won't accept a receipt. You have to
have the ticket. Crazy eight.
Speaker 3 (45:20):
That just seems really bad, like behind the time.
Speaker 2 (45:23):
So that's why the app exists, so you can buy
it on the app. Anyway, she had the ticket, she
took it into the Italian lotto store. They have those
little scanners. You can scan your ticket and it tells
you if you're a winner. She scanned it and it
set on the screen not payable, which she assumed, as
everybody would assume, it was a non winning ticket. You
see non payable, you go, ah.
Speaker 3 (45:44):
No, see the word no and you think, okay, no.
Speaker 2 (45:46):
Pres What it actually meant was the prize is so
big that the store can't pay it out. Yeah, but
she didn't know that, and she threw the ticket in
the bin. And then she went home and her family said,
oh my god, we won lotto because they played the
same numbers every week and they saw that the numbers
had come up, and she went what do you mean
we won lotto. I just scanned the ticket and they
(46:08):
were like, it was a winning ticket and she'd thrown
it in the bin.
Speaker 3 (46:13):
Did she go back and sought through the bin?
Speaker 2 (46:16):
She went back, the bins had been emptied and collected
by the local rubbish trucks. She called the council or
whoever does.
Speaker 3 (46:26):
The rubbish truck, and the rub truck.
Speaker 2 (46:28):
She said to them, I think my million dollar lotto
ticket is in the truck. They managed to locate the
truck that had been to that store to empty the bins,
and they found that it hadn't gone to the dump yet.
So they divoted the truck to a separate facility and
these waste management workers went through the contents of the
truck by hand. The entire rubbish truck of contents. Took
(46:52):
them two days, and they found a lotto ticket. No,
can you believe it?
Speaker 7 (46:57):
They better have got some of that money to pay
for the sorting.
Speaker 2 (47:01):
Obviously she had to pay for that.
Speaker 3 (47:03):
Yeah, and some that's really good from them.
Speaker 2 (47:05):
And then yeah, you'd expect that Lisa Griffin Sampler or
something from the lady to say thanks for going through
all that rubbish to find my Wow, it's your favorites.
Speaker 3 (47:14):
Yes, new gloves, you know for their away happy.
Speaker 2 (47:18):
Ending, they ending. I guess very much so like close.
