from around the ball.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
She is facing yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, Okay, maybe work
on the first question.
Speaker 1 (01:13):
Maybe ask you something about herself.
Speaker 4 (01:15):

We really need our ladies to pick it up. Chicky babes,

Speaker 1 (02:25):
Yeah, chicky babes, pick it up. Scores are sixty ladies
sixty seven. Trades. Quite the comeback for the trades, and
they continue to forge your head. But today it could
be different. A lady is in Hamilton. She's forty nine
and according to her, she is the biggest fan of
the USA you will ever meet. Welcome to the show, Vanessa,
(02:46):
he us US. You might say, what got you into that?
Speaker 3 (02:52):

Speaker 1 (03:06):
But get there. Once you've been, you get today. It's
actually awesome. And the people in the States incredibly friendly,
really incredibly friendly. I know you think that they're going
to be really rude, especially New York, because they're not,
are they, Vanessa. They're fantastic.
Speaker 3 (03:22):
They are such good people.
Speaker 8 (03:23):
And you know, not one person I'm met while I
was there voted for somebody.
Speaker 1 (03:29):
I'm picking up what you're putting down, Vanessa.
Speaker 2 (03:31):
Because that was my concern when I saw you were
a fan of the always say so.
Speaker 1 (03:34):
Thanks for clarifying, Vanessa.
Speaker 5 (03:35):
You're taking no, no, no, no, it doesn't matter who
leaves it.
Speaker 6 (03:38):
It's still a great country.
Speaker 4 (03:39):
You are.
Speaker 1 (03:40):
You know, she's a walking you're taking our training from
the Naki. He's in his fifty and he's been punched
in the face by Arnold Schwarzenegger. Now there's a fun fact.
Welcome to the show. Carlo. Hey, you've got to give
us some details on that. Carlo when why how did
you ask?
Speaker 6 (04:00):
I was a movie, I think, my favorite Jackie Chan movie,
and I don't know. He was pressing around. You did
so many takes. He was face to back for me,
and not about the eighth take. I just thought, oh,
bugg of that. I just put my face closer to
where it's supposed to be.
Speaker 3 (04:15):
But you were on set with him everyone, and it
was a good shot.
Speaker 1 (04:19):
So you were you were acting in a film with
Jackie Chan and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Speaker 6 (04:25):
Yeah, I'm the stunting Yeah.
Speaker 2 (04:27):
Wow, I thought you just didn't like one of his movies.
And we're like went up to him and was like, hey, Arnold,
no good and he just went on right.
Speaker 6 (04:33):
Yeah, he was a good sweetie.
Speaker 1 (04:36):
Okay, that's a great face.
Speaker 6 (04:38):
Before we did the scene and he was like no, no, no,
I'm a professional. I don't fellow rectords.
Speaker 4 (04:43):
You know.
Speaker 1 (04:44):
Yeah, and you said shut up, pussy and then he
died you. Yeah, yeah, your buzzes trade Vanessa lady first
of three correct answers gets the fifty bucks and KFC
good luck guys.
Speaker 3 (04:56):
All right, let's jump in.
Speaker 2 (04:57):
First question, tell me a killer whale is also more
commonly known as a lady Vanessa an.
Speaker 3 (05:05):
Orca is correct?
Speaker 1 (05:10):
Yeah, she was just in there. Carlo, You was tight though.
Speaker 2 (05:13):
What flavor is the white Air New Zealand lolly you
are offered on board?
Speaker 1 (05:19):
Vanessa? Well done, You almost had.
Speaker 2 (05:23):
An own goal there in buzzed in with trading us.
Speaker 1 (05:27):
We're about to give the point to Carlo. Okay, two
l okay Carlo.
Speaker 3 (05:31):
Third question, which bed is bigger?
Speaker 1 (05:34):
A queen or double Lady Vanessa for the clean sweep?
Speaker 5 (05:38):
A queen?
Speaker 1 (05:39):
Queen's correct?
Speaker 3 (05:46):
Are a queen?
Speaker 4 (05:47):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (05:47):
Well done, You're you're the champ. You've got fifty bucks
from KFC coming your way. Oh yeah, Carlo, maybe some
residual head trauma from the Manold Schwartzenegger. Pa, take a mate, Yeah,
it's all the weed at Yeah.
Speaker 2 (06:09):
Sixty one to the ladies Now seems free and clinic podcast.
Speaker 1 (06:14):
I'll produce a Claudia said to us that she's downsizing
at the moment, which is unfortunate because I had a
whole bunch of clothes they wanted to offload to you.
Speaker 3 (06:21):
I'm still willing to take it, laire downsizing. I'm downsizing
so I can upsize.
Speaker 1 (06:27):
Oh right, Okay, I'm downsizing.
Speaker 3 (06:29):
Because I'm moving house and then it's just less for
me to move. So maybe once I've moved house, I
can take it.
Speaker 1 (06:34):
Then you can fill up with my to carry it around. Okay, sweet,
you were talking to us about because I do this
too when you because periodically I'll go through my wardrobe
or my drawers and go, I don't wear this, Yeah
I should get rid of it, and you either go,
oh no, maybe I will wear it and it's in
your wardrobe unworn for another twelve months. Or it's something
(06:55):
that has an overarching sentimental value, doesn't it.
Speaker 3 (06:58):
Yeah, And I've been pretty hot with like my line
of what I'm keeping them, I'm not. Yes, I think
I've halved my wardrobe.
Speaker 1 (07:04):
Do you do the Marie condo?
Speaker 8 (07:06):
Oh?
Speaker 9 (07:07):
Like, does this bring me joy?
Speaker 1 (07:08):
You enjoy? Do you know that one broke? No, you
should pet, you should get if you want to properly downside,
you can get all your clothes out of the wardrobe,
put them on the bed. Yeah, because your brain needs
to see how much crap you have. Your brain physically
needs to be disgusted by the amount of stuff that
you have, which won't happen if you don't get it
out of all of the drawers and all of the hangers,
and then individually go through, pick up each item, hold
(07:31):
it in front of you, and sit with it for
a second and just ask yourself the question does this
bring me joy inside you? And if it doesn't, if
it's purely utilitarian, you're like, no, but I could wear
it for a meeting sometime get rid of it, but.
Speaker 3 (07:46):
Then I'll only no, that's the problem I have at.
Speaker 1 (07:48):
The moment, and now I only have fun clothes.
Speaker 2 (07:49):
So I'm wearing off the shoulder t shirts to meetings
and I'm like, my gosh, I only have town clothes because.
Speaker 1 (07:54):
Those anyone joy? Okay, does this bring me joy? Or
will respect? Respect?
Speaker 4 (08:03):
Okay?
Speaker 1 (08:03):
Tell us about the items you're grappling with, claud.
Speaker 3 (08:05):
Well, I've gone deep in the back of the wardrobe
things that I literally have not touched for years. I've
got two jumpers, like oversized old. I will never wear them.
The problem is they belong to dead relatives that I love,
and I just can't see myself donating them, selling them,
or letting anyone else wear them. But I'm looking at
(08:26):
them going I'm never gonna wear this. Like I've got
this beautiful jumper. Yeah that was my mum's, but it's
bright orange, like it's fluorescently orange.
Speaker 1 (08:34):
Yes, you're getting you're getting guilt tripped by a sweatshirt.
Speaker 9 (08:38):
Yeah, you know it's got sentimental value.
Speaker 1 (08:40):
I know it's got sentimental But you've imbued this item
of clothing with superpowers.
Speaker 4 (08:44):
True.
Speaker 1 (08:45):
I want to ask you quickly, yes, was it a
sweater that your mum loved or was it just one
of her sweaters? Because I know that people I love
have items of clothing, and if they were haunting me
and they said why did you keep my car?
Speaker 3 (08:57):
I didn't even Yes, you could I don't even like
that them. Yeah, no, literally, I've never seen her wear it. Yeah,
it just was hers.
Speaker 1 (09:04):
It just feels wrong right saw someone else wearing it,
you'd go. And I also like carted.
Speaker 3 (09:11):
It around for years. I've moved houses so many times
with it that now I'm also like, but it's my.
Speaker 1 (09:15):
Part of the furniture now, isn't it really? Could you
repurpose it? Could it become a cushion cover? Or I
could die it? Maybe you're sitting on my mum My
mom never wore that, but I think she bought it
that cushion. Where's that jersey? So well, it's moving that
makes it forces you to make these decisions. And I
can't make this decision for you. But it's hard if
(09:37):
you know you're never going to wear it.
Speaker 3 (09:38):
I just did that thing where I took it out
and I go, I can't make that decision, and I
just put it back.
Speaker 1 (09:42):
Yeah, you coukick it down the road to drawer when
I unpack it at the new house. You won't. I'll
just say, next time I move, I have items of
clothing like this that I've just kept for no other
reason than it feels weird to throw them away. Yeah,
there's one item because if I'm getting rid of up,
I'm giving it to the to the Salvation Army near
our house or me or you. But I won't be
(10:04):
giving them or you this one particular T shirt. Why
I have the T shirt that I wore at the
Cleo Bachelor of the Year competition in twenty twelve?
Speaker 9 (10:17):
Is that the year that you were nominated?
Speaker 1 (10:19):
Yeah? And it says across the back of it, mister May.
That was my mom from the calendar. And every time
I do it downsize, that shirt comes out and I'm like,
and I can't wear it?
Speaker 5 (10:29):
Why not?
Speaker 1 (10:30):
What about a May? It doesn't that first? The second
of all, it would be a bit weird for me
to walk around in my Cleo Bachelor May not have it.
The magazine doesn't exist anymore. Oh you could just give
it out? Hey, you you look like should I nominate.
Speaker 3 (10:47):
May?
Speaker 1 (10:47):
Should I nominate Mister May each year?
Speaker 4 (10:49):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (10:50):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (10:50):
Should I award each year that May rolls around? I
nominate one particular hottie and he gets the ceremonial scoop
neck T shirt of.
Speaker 9 (11:00):
The traveling Mister May T shirt.
Speaker 1 (11:02):
You bestow the Mister May singlet on them. This is
such a good idea, guys.
Speaker 2 (11:06):
Should you get the band back together and get January.
You're a very march as well.
Speaker 3 (11:10):
Boys, because they've all thrown these out.
Speaker 1 (11:13):
Yeah see you still got it. We want to know
this up there, and do you have a sentimental item
of clothing that you should throw out? You you just can't.
It might not even be an item of clothing. It
could be just an item. You can be a mug,
it could be a rug, and you could be.
Speaker 2 (11:28):
Something a teddy beer. I feel like they'll be sentimental
people and.
Speaker 1 (11:32):
They're useless or they're gross, or they're worn out. Because
it was so and sos and because it was there
at such and such time, you will probably cut this
thing around with you until you die, and.
Speaker 3 (11:44):
Then you'll pass it on to someone else and they'll go,
I can't possibly get rid of this.
Speaker 1 (11:48):
It's just like family trauma. You just keep passing on.
Claudia has dead relatives sweatshirts that she doesn't want to wear,
and we've found out neither did the people that owned
them when they were alive. They're kind of ugly, but
it's beside the point.
Speaker 3 (12:03):
Yeah, that's not the point at all.
Speaker 1 (12:05):
To the point at all. So we want to know
what's the thing that you can't bring yourself to get
rid off? Berry's here, Hey, Barry, there were going you
can you sympathize?
Speaker 4 (12:14):
Oh? Definitely? Yeah, what is it? Yeah? I've got a
sweatshirt from nineteen eighty seven from the Cold Kiwi Motorbike Rally. Yeah,
and I've kept it because it's when I met my wife. Yeah,
but she's thrown it out three times.
Speaker 1 (12:34):
Yeah, jeez, how well.
Speaker 4 (12:37):
Hidden so she can't find it.
Speaker 1 (12:39):
That's the opposite of sentimental. What do you think she
dislikes more the T shirt or the marriage Berry?
Speaker 4 (12:45):
Oh no, it's just it's worn out.
Speaker 1 (12:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (12:47):
Do you feel like if you sold it, Berry or
put it up, you could get a bit of coin
for us.
Speaker 1 (12:51):
Sounds yeah, sounds real vintage.
Speaker 4 (12:53):
No, No, they still run the rally.
Speaker 1 (12:55):
Yeah, it's even better.
Speaker 4 (12:57):
Oh, give it a whirl, have you I need it
so I remember what year we got married.
Speaker 3 (13:03):
Doesn't have remember the anniversary as really helpful?
Speaker 1 (13:07):
Yeah, that's good as you're partner, the sort of one
that will throw out your undies and your favorite slippers
when you're not looking as well.
Speaker 4 (13:13):
Berry, those two shirts with them.
Speaker 1 (13:18):
She needs to go around to Claudia's house. Yeah clean, Yeah,
thanks Bears. Telly's here, Hi, Telly, I what is it?
What's the sentimental item that you just can't bring yourself
to throw out?
Speaker 5 (13:31):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (13:32):
There's a dress that I've got from when.
Speaker 1 (13:34):
I was seven ish. Me, my family and his family
freement to Vegas on a trip and they got married
at the Little White Album. Incredible.
Speaker 4 (13:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (13:44):
Obviously I didn't know what it was because I was
to them, but yeah, the dress, it was literally just
a red dresses, white poka dots.
Speaker 1 (13:51):
It wasn't anything special. No, you don't get rid of that.
That's you don't get rid of that. Have you had
kids yet, Telly? Someone will love dressing up in that.
Yeah yeah, yeah yeah. Watch her spell everything.
Speaker 3 (14:05):
All over and.
Speaker 1 (14:08):
What does a seven year old do for fun? In
Las Vegas? Also pretty red dress three stuff has Mickey
Mouse and Minnie Mouse. Yeah yeah, yeah, true? Okay, thanks Tilly.
And we asked you what's the thing that you can't
bring yourself to throw away for sentimental reasons? Someone said,
I have two T shirts from a US summer camp
that I worked out, worked out twenty years ago. I
(14:30):
will never wear them, but I just can't get rid
of them again. That sounds like some of the coolest
vintage Yeah, I could find. And because it's actually yours,
it's even cooler. Like, no one can call your poser
for wearing that. No, I was actually there, you know
some people do.
Speaker 2 (14:46):
My friend went to Antarctica at random as and she
is like Antarctic like merch?
Speaker 1 (14:50):
Damn has Antarctica got a gift shop? Yeah, muster's pretty
big things. Melissa's here, Hi, Melissa, Hey, what is that?
What's the thing? You can't throw out? My baby teeth?
Speaker 3 (15:02):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (15:05):
How many of you got? Melissa?
Speaker 8 (15:06):
I got all of them.
Speaker 1 (15:10):
She got a fresh baby tea.
Speaker 4 (15:12):
Yeah, you even know.
Speaker 7 (15:14):
What family member down the line is going to really
want those?
Speaker 1 (15:17):
You know, you're right. I have no idea which family
member that is going to be. Oh man, where are they? Melissa?
Speaker 4 (15:25):
Yeah, okay, thank you for asking.
Speaker 3 (15:27):
There in a precious box that my nana gave me
all twenty eight Yeah, I don't even know.
Speaker 7 (15:33):
There's probably like ten there.
Speaker 1 (15:36):
Yeah, babies have got like twenty Some of them must
have got lost along the way, but no there.
Speaker 3 (15:44):
Yeah, someone's found a baby tooth that could be Melissa's.
Speaker 1 (15:47):
Please return they go all yellow and they're just like, oh,
they're beautiful. They're still pearly white.
Speaker 3 (15:52):
You could turn them into ear rings, you could turn
them into jewelry, Melissa.
Speaker 1 (15:57):
The possibilities are endless. Maybe I will maybe I Well,
it reminds me of that time that Kasha wore her
owns the center to the She's like, this is the
placenter from when I was born. Wow, that's sounds just
like it so on brand Kesha. Before the meat dress
(16:18):
there was the placenta plas center necklace.
Speaker 4 (16:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (16:22):
All right, Melissa, bloody good and very impressive to get
those teeth back from the tooth fairy too. You know,
I guess if you managed to get them back, and
do you have to buy them back artering somehow? Yeah,
she's figured it out.
Speaker 5 (16:32):
It means Branklin the Tea Live from l A with
Dean McCarney.
Speaker 1 (16:39):
But first Dean, And this has vindication for me, Dean,
because I've been saying since it came out that this
is the song of the Year, and I believe it's
going to win the Grammy give us. She's from Tanxas
the Records that Choos in Texas has just broken stab
huge record.
Speaker 8 (16:55):
Yeah, I'm with you. This is going to be a
really really memorable song for the year. It's Karl spending
its seventeenth week at number one, which actually puts it
now wild in the fourth place ever of the all
time Billboard Hot one hundreds. Like so, to give you context,
Morgan Wallen's Last Night and Remember.
Speaker 1 (17:13):
Desper sital.
Speaker 8 (17:16):
How that is the number two, and of course Mariah
Carey and Boys to Men's One Sweet Day, and then
it goes this song like they are big banger, huge song.
So to be in the category at number four, but
being seventeenth week and number one, that's really really major.
Speaker 1 (17:32):
It's a dark horse.
Speaker 8 (17:33):
No, I mean you saw it coming clip, but I didn't.
Speaker 1 (17:36):
I've completely predicted this, and like I said, I feel vindicated.
It's got some crazy stat to where it's one of
the most successful songs ever. That's not a Christmas song
because Christmas songs go back into the chart each year,
so they have they have like a reup situation. But
choosing Texas has its own beast.
Speaker 2 (17:54):
It's just got their juice to it that's been able
to go east.
Speaker 1 (17:58):
Yeah yeah, yeah, I couldn't write it like on purpose.
It was kind of just like, Yeah, I'm been struggling
to get people over the line about how good it is.
Have you do?
Speaker 4 (18:07):
Get it?
Speaker 1 (18:07):
Your Cardia?
Speaker 3 (18:08):
Do you get it?
Speaker 1 (18:08):
I don't. It just hasn't hit you know, I get it.
Speaker 2 (18:12):
She's choosing Texas now, you know, and she's too stepping
around the room.
Speaker 1 (18:15):
Get it. It's magic, It's got something special and it's
got Ella Langley. Have you five sicks of summer?
Speaker 4 (18:22):
Those?
Speaker 1 (18:22):
Geez they got it. Damn. There's a team with d
McCarthy podcast bad news for Brad pat Today. He's done
an interview with What's It's a confession, I guess. He's
done an interview with Esquire magazine. He's done another hot
boy photo shoot where the dude's sixty two, Wow, and
(18:42):
he still looks fantastic. Isn't every photo Brad Pitt takes
a hot boy photo? Pretty much? Yeah, I'm not one
hundred percent sure if he's got you know how every
hot boy has their ugly photo, like Harry Styles has
got a cop.
Speaker 2 (18:55):
Sure this angelina must have some ugly photos of Brad
Pitt for sure.
Speaker 1 (18:59):
Deepener and maybe that's what she's holding over him. He's
admitted that after seven years sober he is back off
the wagon. In his words, he said life's been a
bit hard for him recently and he's no longer sober.
It's no idea, but he says he has under control.
But it reminded me when I read this today of
(19:21):
a bold statement made by you Broke about one of
Brad Pitt's biggest movies of all time yesterday. Yeah, yeah,
I know, bad timing, Brook, But you know what you
said it before you knew this exactly, So that's not
on me. The statement that Brooke has to make regards
which movie.
Speaker 3 (19:39):
The nineteen ninety nine Brad pit film Fight Club.
Speaker 1 (19:43):
You know how much money you have in the bank,
you know the car you drive, You're not the contents
of your wallet. Cagis one of my favorite movies.
Speaker 3 (20:01):
Oh I didn't know that of all time.
Speaker 1 (20:03):
But that's not a unique statement. I think every man
my age has Fight Club as one of his favorite
movies of all time.
Speaker 2 (20:11):
I think every man that I've been in an entanglement
with it's either Fight Club, Interstellar, or something of Brad Pitts.
Speaker 1 (20:18):
It's a great selection of movies.
Speaker 2 (20:20):
Yeah, of course you'd say that my statement, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (20:22):
I'm dancing around it. Now, I think.
Speaker 2 (20:25):
Fight Club is definitely punching above its weight in terms
of how much hype it got.
Speaker 1 (20:30):
So over hyped fight Club. You said fight Club overrated? Yeah,
and you just thought it for the first time over
the weekend, didn't you. I was forced.
Speaker 2 (20:40):
I was forced to watch, and I watched the entire thing,
and I will say it's quotable, like I love the
You're Not Your Khaki's like, it's a quotable movie. When
I really sit with it and I go, what about
this movie? Do I not like? After watching the movie?
I was physically exhausted.
Speaker 1 (20:58):
That movie is too much of everything.
Speaker 2 (21:02):
It doesn't give you a split second to think about
what just happened before moving on.
Speaker 1 (21:07):
And someone will be like, well, get with it, keep
up with it. It's a fast paced movie. Let me
think for a second about what's just happened. I get that.
But just as you're trying to process your thoughts, wham,
they put meatloaf in front of you with a giant
set of titties. And that's that's early on in the movie,
and then from there on it's.
Speaker 3 (21:23):
Just more and more and more and more and more
and more.
Speaker 2 (21:25):
It's a lot all at once, it felt like a
TV show crammed into a movie. Like still a long movie,
but could have definitely been brought out to a TV show.
Speaker 3 (21:33):
Fight Club.
Speaker 1 (21:33):
It's controversial, And don't.
Speaker 2 (21:35):
By the way, I don't text nine six nine six saying.
Speaker 1 (21:38):
First roll of fight climb, you know lad to talk about.
Speaker 2 (21:40):
If anyone takes that through every text, I'm going to
punch you in the bicet.
Speaker 3 (21:43):
I'm so sick of hearing every every It's just like
boys cling onto that quote, first role of fight Club, first.
Speaker 1 (21:50):
Roll of the workpace, don't place the coworkers. Yeah, okay,
I don't agree with you, but you're entitled to your opinion,
and this happens from time to time. You only just
watched it for the first time. It's a very old
movie by today's standards. It's from the nineties. So do
you think that maybe it was just talked up so
much that it could never live up to the hype.
Speaker 2 (22:10):
Because I think I missed that wave. It's not like.
Another example of a movie that I think that was overhyped,
but I was here for the hype was Long Legs.
That was a movie that was very like, oh my god,
people are walking out of the cinemas. This is great,
and I went and watched it. I was like, I
think I went to the wrong, wrong movie here. I
think even if I've gotten less.
Speaker 1 (22:28):
Of the hype. Long Legs Nicholas Cage.
Speaker 2 (22:31):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, this came out a couple of years ago. Okay, right,
that's the movie that.
Speaker 3 (22:35):
I was here.
Speaker 1 (22:36):
Please don't compare fight Club to some random Nicholas Cage
movie that no one's ever heard of. No people have
heard of Long. I just think of the room, Claudia,
you're a long Legs family. I've never heard of it.
Speaker 3 (22:47):
Long Leo never heard of the top stop at everyone
Fike Club though heard that's well, it has this notorious
untouchable stop it it's one. There's untouchable umbrella that fight
Club is be all in all, let's everything.
Speaker 2 (23:02):
Oh my gosh, it answers everything. What they went down
to the basement and they went a couple of rounds.
Speaker 1 (23:07):
Dude, spoilers. Dude. Look, it's your controversial opinion, but you
believe Fight Club didn't live up to the hype. No,
So this afternoon, we're going to create a safe space
for you to share the thing that you believe didn't
live up to the hype. We will not chastise you,
we will not criticize you. We may be shocked and surprised.
I want to be shocked in surprise. We may question you.
(23:28):
Ella has one to get the ball rolling.
Speaker 3 (23:30):
I'm nervous to say it, but I stand by it.
The love over hyped. Oh wait, no, that's historically not true,
did you.
Speaker 1 (23:40):
I'm looking at a thousand statues.
Speaker 3 (23:41):
I'm honored and grateful to be here, but I think
I'd rather have done other stuff, just to check.
Speaker 1 (23:46):
Yeah, you're talking about the museum in Paris where they
keep the Mona Lisa and not the song by Lord. Yeah, okay,
over hyped.
Speaker 3 (23:56):
Sorry, It's just like I can appreciate art and good painting,
but it's a heavy footcat.
Speaker 1 (24:02):
Can you appreciate.
Speaker 3 (24:05):
Statues are boring? I don't want to look at.
Speaker 1 (24:08):
Cement as your opinion, and you're entitled to it and
we don't agree, but you are welcome to have it.
And right now we want to open the phone lines
to you.
Speaker 5 (24:15):
The ZM podcast network.
Speaker 1 (24:17):
On the same day that Brad admits like that he's
broken his Sobriety Brooke, who's filling in for Bree, comes
out and says, and you know what else, Bred fight
Club sucks.
Speaker 3 (24:30):
Can we just revisit that whole hype? Fight Club NA
not good.
Speaker 1 (24:34):
It's a hot take, and you have really divided people
with an opinion like that. Most people think that it's wrong.
You're wrong, and they've said next, she'll be coming for
classics like Top Gun.
Speaker 2 (24:46):
I would never wake me up if I come for
a movie where Miles Teller has his T shirt off.
Speaker 1 (24:50):
No, no, Top Gun original. Yeah, but that's fine. I'm
not going to come to Miles. Miles Teller was busy
not being born. Yeah, take me back. But you do
have some people who agree. Someone said Millennial here absolutely
hate club. Can I just say I didn't say I
hated it.
Speaker 2 (25:06):
It's just well over hyped and I think it could
have just gone under the radar as another movie because
it is so on the.
Speaker 1 (25:13):
Back of that. We've created a safe space for you
to come through and tell us so safe right now
what you believe didn't live up to the hype. It's
not truly safe. Like Ala came swinging for the Louver.
That was crazy the Louver. The statement literally went, I
love art, but the Louver is overrated. It was it
was a little bit boring.
Speaker 2 (25:33):
Sorry, it's okay, But can I just say at least
she's saying something's overrated that she's tried. You can have
your opinion, but you can't come and say tomatoes overrated.
I've never tried a tomato, then you can't say it's overrated.
Speaker 1 (25:44):
Pal, it's a good criteria. Rob's here? Hi, Rob, Hello,
can you promise us you've tried the thing that you
believe is overrated? Okay, you're qualified, Rob, when you're ready.
What is the thing that, in your opinion doesn't live
up to the hype? Queenstown localized tape.
Speaker 4 (26:06):
The about Queenstown.
Speaker 3 (26:10):
No, you're actually right.
Speaker 1 (26:11):
The surrounding area is a gorgeous Okay, Rob. Where do
you love? Where do you live? Wellington? Okay? They do
have working sewage in Queenstown.
Speaker 6 (26:22):
I mean, well, we have working sewage here.
Speaker 1 (26:25):
No, you don't pumping it straight in the ocean, aren't you?
Speaker 3 (26:29):
No?
Speaker 1 (26:29):
No, I guess it's a hot take. Is it because
it's so expensive? Is because of it's so full of terrorists?
Was the line at ferg Burger too long? What was it? Rob?
Speaker 3 (26:37):
Well, fer Burgers are nothing Burger?
Speaker 4 (26:41):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (26:42):
Didn't that was just a burger. Okay, you went twice
robbed though once you go well overrated going back twice
rob What were you just confirming that it's overrated again?
Speaker 7 (26:53):
We flew the second time, we flew into Queenstown, picked
up the rental car I went.
Speaker 1 (26:57):
To Now got the hell out of it. Yeah, right,
I guess you kind of have to do. We respect
you making a bold statement like Queenstown Flight Club.
Speaker 2 (27:06):
Ah, okay, so you don't have means to say whether
it's overrated or underrated.
Speaker 1 (27:11):
Respect you could be the deciding vote between Brook and
I if you go and watch it.
Speaker 2 (27:17):
Yeah, I wouldn't not recommend to not watch it. It's
one of the things. It's kind of just like getting
you know.
Speaker 1 (27:21):
Stand in what you said, Okay, just got to watch
stand firm. We asked you what is the thing that's overrated,
and you guys have not held back. Someone texted her
and said Spice Girls and Diyson vacuum cleaners and the
sound of music. Wow.
Speaker 3 (27:37):
Just let off three round favors of three universally loved things.
Speaker 1 (27:41):
All the move.
Speaker 2 (27:42):
Okay, these are the most common movies coming through on
nine six nine six for overrated Oppenheimer, The Barbie Movie,
The Barbie Movie, Will Condor Forever, Barbie, Deadpool, Wolverine, Lord
of Rings, anything A twenty four and Top Gun has
come through is over saying.
Speaker 1 (27:57):
Wow, yeah, crazy to say a lot of the Rings
because you're objectively wrong. Like our country, our entire economy
pretty much exists off dairy and the Lord of the
Rings franchise. So you can say you don't like it,
is it over hyped? It's all we've got.
Speaker 2 (28:15):
Take away the Lord of the Rings and we've got
no hype here.
Speaker 1 (28:17):
Have you take away Lot of the Rings and Queenstown
would be like, we have nothing else. We said, what
was over hyped in your opinion? Someone said, and Frank's
hideout there is unhinged. I don't think it's meant to
be hyped. I think it's meant to be like a
place of reflection. I've been there, thank you very much.
(28:39):
And it was beautiful. Well okay, good. I thought you
were about to come in and say, no, the opposite.
Speaker 3 (28:45):
Switzerland is highly overrated the country.
Speaker 4 (28:48):
Yeah, ma'am.
Speaker 1 (28:49):
If you don't like Queenstown, you're not going to like Switzerland.
Didn't you do Switzerland?
Speaker 3 (28:54):
It was beautiful people there, lovely but they are very
straight to the point, very Swiss, just out of the Spa.
What were you doing in the Spa? Wouldn't you like
to know?
Speaker 1 (29:04):
I feel this one and Briy and I have said
this one. If you're going to it's the Morduchy Boulders. Yeah,
that if it's over. If we're talking about over hyped,
they're just a bunch of rocks.
Speaker 2 (29:19):
I think we're in the different hyping regions because what
you're getting hyped, that's not hype.
Speaker 1 (29:23):
I've never been hyped to go see. They're meant to
be like one of New Zealand's seven natural wonders. And
they're like, how did these boulders get on the beach?
Was it aliens? Are they marbles from an ancient civilization?
And I'm always wondering how these these boulders got on
the beach, you know what I mean? Someone said chocolate, chocolate.
Speaker 3 (29:48):
Liberty.
Speaker 1 (29:48):
I won't stand for it. That's a great piece of
art hanging there. If you're not eating Wittaker's chocolate, what
are you eating? They said it all tastes like peanuts slab. Yeah,
that's the point.
Speaker 3 (29:57):
I think the peanuts slab flavor of Wittigers tastes a
lo like the peanuts lab Yeah, what is chocolate?
Speaker 1 (30:02):
But otherwise other flavors don't day And someone said Auckland
it has to be the shittiest city in the country. Well, mate,
have you been to Queenstown.
Speaker 3 (30:10):
I haven't met someone who's hyped up Auckland either, So
let's rain it just right.
Speaker 5 (30:17):
It's z it ms brilling Clinton Podcast.
Speaker 1 (30:20):
Let's get classical.
Speaker 5 (30:23):
Classical.
Speaker 4 (30:26):
You know the game.
Speaker 1 (30:27):
It's pop songs redone in classical style and it's our
job to guess them. Today. It's gonna be me versus you. Brooke,
Oh what yeah, I.
Speaker 2 (30:36):
Was going to produce one time, Claude, can you make it?
Let's get jazzical?
Speaker 1 (30:39):
And if you want jazz, yes, instead of classical, I
like jazz.
Speaker 9 (30:42):
I could do jazzical.
Speaker 3 (30:43):
Let's get jazz.
Speaker 1 (30:44):
God, you're talented. I know I could do anything. So Brooke,
you and I will be racing to guess the songs,
the real songs that Claudia has covered on her Baby Grand.
You want the Baby Grand today? This sweet?
Speaker 3 (30:54):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (30:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (30:55):
Your job, sweet listener, is to text the person that
you think is gonna win to nine six nine six,
and you've got to do that before the end of
the game, because if you're right, you could score yourself
fifty KC chicken dollars. So this week you can text
clint or Brock to nine Sex, nine sex.
Speaker 2 (31:11):
I have heard multiple synphony things, if that is helping
my case.
Speaker 1 (31:17):
You know what I mean, synthony things.
Speaker 3 (31:18):
Synthhony, the symphony band. So it's your life experience.
Speaker 1 (31:22):
So you think you'll the show the concert?
Speaker 2 (31:25):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I've seen orchestras, which is classical. No
is that not classical?
Speaker 1 (31:29):
Okay? Yeah, synthony or symphony either either.
Speaker 6 (31:34):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (31:34):
Right, well, let's see how you go. She's got the
life experience.
Speaker 3 (31:38):
I'll just quickly run over the rules. I'm going to
start the song. You need a buzzing with your name,
and I need the artist and the name of the song.
First person with two points will take home the win.
Speaker 1 (31:46):
GATCHA guess I'll just lock in for a second. Yes, yes,
I'll give you a second to lock in. Yeah, I'm
locked in now, okay, lovely, here is your first song,
cl Clint Olivia Rodrigo's Dropped Dead. That's the one. Yeah,
(32:11):
it's okay, Broke, I'm the Olivia Rodrigo guy on the show.
Speaker 3 (32:15):
Yeah, I wasn't even hot on your tail, dude, but
I was still first verse.
Speaker 1 (32:20):
No, I was like, this new song is great. Who's
new track is this? Who should play it? Olivia Rodrigo.
Speaker 3 (32:27):
Okay, okay, okay, what can I tell you?
Speaker 1 (32:29):
I do expect you to do well in this game
because I've seen symphony love. No, just because you know.
Speaker 3 (32:35):
A lot of music, I expect you to do Yeah,
I know it as the artist intinded it and the
pop version that they play on the radio. I don't
know that there was a practice that was your warm
up and then you just told it's nell all you
just need to better.
Speaker 1 (32:45):
There wasn't a practice. One point for.
Speaker 9 (32:49):
Clint here is another song, no, no, no, I gave
you so much.
Speaker 1 (33:00):
Harry Styles as it was right.
Speaker 3 (33:05):
I've seen it live.
Speaker 1 (33:11):
Were you esteemed.
Speaker 3 (33:19):
Not to be?
Speaker 1 (33:19):
Do you want to it's not for any points? Do
you want to try one?
Speaker 3 (33:23):
Well, let's get jasical version of that song.
Speaker 1 (33:26):
I'll give you one. Go okay, and I won't participate. Okay,
it's just a race against myself. Can you get this one?
Speaker 3 (33:38):
I'm more of a lyrical girl. No, I can.
Speaker 1 (33:44):
Oh the weekend blinding lights. She's got it. I'm shocked.
She's got it. So you can do it? I can
I can do it. Sorry. So the person that texts
in Clint, we believe in your musical ability. Fifty KFC
(34:05):
chicken dollars. Congratulations rightfully Nicks on the show. Is Usher
using a look alike at his performances? This could be
the biggest scandal in music since they replaced Avril Levine.
This could be the biggest thing in Usher's career. Okay,
one hot take per show.
Speaker 5 (34:21):
Okay, as zad AM's brin Clint podcast, a bit.
Speaker 1 (34:26):
Of a conspiracy theory going around at the moment. And
I know you're an usher man. I am an usher man. Yeah,
and through have you shaken in your little boots?
Speaker 2 (34:32):
Some people who went to his most recent show believe
that for the first or the first third of the
show there was a man on stage performing as Usher
that was not Usher. It's like Randal when you're walking
down the street and you see someone who kind of
looks like Usher and you're like, oh, he kind of
looks like Usher.
Speaker 1 (34:53):
But not enough. Yeah, that's okay if you're walking down
the street. But if I paid good money to see Usher.
I expect it to be Usher on the stage. So
many questions. Have you seen the person? And does it
look enough like Usher? It looks It's passable, That's what
I mean. It's passable.
Speaker 2 (35:09):
As like if you saw this guy walking down the street,
you would definitely comment to be like, that looks like Usher.
Speaker 1 (35:14):
But and why only the first third of the show because.
Speaker 2 (35:17):
They think that he's come out halfway through after the
dancing scene he's he's got his hat tilted over his eyes.
Speaker 1 (35:24):
Yeah, and you can see his lips.
Speaker 3 (35:25):
He's dancing. He's dancing like Usher, and his like bottom
half of his face looks like Usher.
Speaker 1 (35:30):
He sounds like Usher from the shoulders down. Yeah, no,
no bit. But why why is so Usher to the
rest of the show?
Speaker 4 (35:37):
Is that right?
Speaker 1 (35:38):
Real Usher? Yes? And they think they think fake Usher?
Speaker 2 (35:41):
Well, if you wanted a little break you I think
I assume that's why he's decided. Oh, I can't be
bothered with the first half. First half of my show's
not my favorite anywhow, I'll let this guy do it.
Speaker 1 (35:50):
So can someone google how old Usher is? Because I
get it. It would be a high energy show and
people would want the singing and the dancing, and he
made the mistake of introducing role skating to his sets.
Recently move which is a bold move is someone who
fell over rollerskating with my children recently rescy business. Oh yeah,
(36:11):
but still that's what you sign up for. How old
is Usher caught it?
Speaker 3 (36:14):
He is forty seven fifty year and he's in good shape, right,
He's in great shape.
Speaker 1 (36:20):
You know what the most demanding part of an Usher
show is. And I don't know if this is in
your guys Instagram feeds, but there's a section in the
show where he pulls a randy lady from the crowd
I saw the orchard and he does some might bumping
and grinding on her consentually. Yeah, but there was one
lady that got pulled up on stage and in the
middle of the bumping and grind and he stops and
he goes, you're not into this, au and she was
(36:41):
like I and you could tell she wasn't into it.
So he was like, oh, you killed the vibeh, get off.
Speaker 2 (36:48):
There's so many other people in the crowd wanting this
right now. He responded on Instagram and he mocked it
because this is how big it's gotten to Usher. That
he's got a clone on stage. You could be like,
I want my tickets back, I want my money back.
I paid for Usher and I got this guy and
he said clone. Question mark, that can't be a clone.
AI is not that advanced.
Speaker 1 (37:07):
You can't.
Speaker 3 (37:08):
You can't clone.
Speaker 1 (37:09):
I would say that though, wouldn't he? Of course? Yeah, yeah,
He's not the first person to be hit with a
clone conspiracy. Every levine is a very famous one.
Speaker 3 (37:17):
Oh but that one.
Speaker 1 (37:17):
I believe that she was replaced, that she either died
or had a full minty b and they replaced her
with another. Evera levine. There's a classic one about the
Beatles that Paul McCartney died in a car crash, like
mid Beatles. Oh, and they're like, we kept this is
going to be so bad for the tour. Yeah yeah yeah,
they're like this is the biggest going to get another one?
Speaker 4 (37:38):
Yeah yeah.
Speaker 2 (37:39):
That's like when you kid, you know, you accidentally drown
one of the gold first, and then you're like, she
won't notice.
Speaker 1 (37:43):
That's much easier to get away with. Bree's got a
great story about her mum literally replacing her whole lass dog.
Oh that's that's a different breed. Itself. Yeah, yeah, she
got she just got another dog. I had a golden
lab before. Why is it a chocolate lab? Now? I
probably would in this one says more about me. I
probably would see an Usher impersonator, but not if I
(38:04):
was told that it was the real Usher. Like if
you told me I'm going to see the world's greatest
Usher impersonator, I probably would pay to go and see that.
But you Yeah, but I need to be I need
to be in on it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.
Speaker 2 (38:16):
Some people thought it was his brother, James Lacy jay
Lack aka j Lack old g Lak Jaylack jumping on
stage for his brother.
Speaker 1 (38:24):
Well, then maybe that's kind of nice to give jay
Lack a turn. Maybe you've jay Lak, You've watched me
have this success and do all the bumping and all
the grinding for the last thirty years. Yeah, tonight you
get your opportunity. Yeah, but you have to cover your face.
No one knows that you because no one wants to
see Jay.
Speaker 5 (38:40):
Lack play zas brienkland.
Speaker 1 (38:44):
Brooks here filling in for bree for this week. It's
Breeze last week and Baby Leave the big news in
the Chrish Church Facebook page today, the crash uchen Z
Facebook page, which I think is the official chrish urch
facebook page. How do you become the official Facebook page?
Speaker 6 (38:58):
You know?
Speaker 4 (38:59):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (38:59):
Yeah, I feel like there's probably rival Edmunds, Yeah for sure,
but the people know, the people know. It's power numbers right. Anyway,
there's drama in z facebook page. So someone who is
not a cantab and actually is a bit of a
coward because they're not using their real name. The name
is ambitious Seal two three five four with your name
(39:20):
has posted in the christ Church in Z facebook page
calling out the people of christ Church. Have a listen
to this. They said, I've just flown back from ten
days in christ Church. I've been there a few times,
and I'm moving there at the end of the year
with my two boys. I was really surprised and noticed
this time around how depressed and dull everyone in christ Church,
(39:46):
and how yes.
Speaker 3 (39:47):
And double D is not the depressed and dull, and
how not a lot.
Speaker 1 (39:50):
Of people take any pride in their appearance or how
they look. No one's smiling. It's like everyone just gives
up and has let themselves go. This sounds like something
you'd put in the Auckland Facebook group page, just be like, hey,
letting you guys know down there dire. Yeah, he said
it to the people of crash Each, he said, I
(40:11):
really came away from this trip wondering if we are
now making the right decision to move to krash Chach.
I couldn't wait to get back to Perth. Were people
fit and healthy?
Speaker 4 (40:23):
Right?
Speaker 2 (40:24):
I do notice when I go to Australia, I'm like,
the general baseline of looking good is a little bit
higher over here.
Speaker 1 (40:31):
I agree, maybe not Perth, maybe more Sydney or Melbourne.
Yeah yeah, but but yeah, but I feel like that
those are two different things, like stepping into crash Each
and saying everyone in chrash Chach looks dull and has
let themselves go one wrong, two inappropriate. Man read the room. Yeah,
do you want to hear what the people of crash
(40:51):
Wach have said? Of course. So this is the comments section,
which is going off so much that they've had to
turn the comments off. It's good. One comment reads, sorry bro,
just putting on my tuxedo to head to pack and say,
that's what I was gonna say.
Speaker 3 (41:07):
It's middle of winter, christ Church, it's hard out here,
Like what do you want.
Speaker 1 (41:12):
Someone else said, oh, you must have come on a Thursday.
That's how homeless. Let yourself go.
Speaker 3 (41:16):
Look, Dave, yeah, casual, casual Thursdays.
Speaker 1 (41:20):
It just post went up yesterday, by the way, and
it's going off. Someone else said, we're all too busy
trying to complete our kids ushy collection with these outrageous
grocery prices. I'll tell you what the ushi demand is
enough to drive anyone crazy.
Speaker 2 (41:35):
I think the correlation if you put a graph next
to win orsh she started to the steady decline of
people taking care of themselves, the graphs would be very similar.
Speaker 1 (41:42):
The parents are pulling the hero out. Yeah, oh yeah.
Someone else said, leave us alone. It's cold and everything
is expensive as if yeah it's cold, it's cold, it's
Canterbury in August. Like, what did you expect? Man? If
you're not turned on by a puppa jacket, then don't
come here looking.
Speaker 3 (41:59):
To be on.
Speaker 1 (42:00):
No, you know you should go to Dunedin. Yeah, well colder,
oh yeah, Papa jackets yeah yeah. And so when I
said we all have influenza and scabies, hopes this helps xoxoxo.
I think I just don't want the person to move
to Canterbury.
Speaker 3 (42:16):
Well, no, why would you.
Speaker 2 (42:17):
That's just called everyone here ugly Now they're lying, Yeah, yeah,
and I don't think you can move there now.
Speaker 1 (42:23):
No, I think invitation rescinded. Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 6 (42:26):
Do you know?
Speaker 2 (42:26):
I actually find South Island is quite attractive, like in
a scheme of things.
Speaker 1 (42:31):
Why do you say that with a surprised tone in
your voice?
Speaker 3 (42:33):
Well, and then this guy's in this guy's Facebook call out,
I wouldn't say that. I would say if he visited
other parts of New Zealand, he would have been do.
Speaker 1 (42:41):
We know what to do?
Speaker 3 (42:41):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (42:41):
My god, are you ambitious? Sealed two, three, five, four? No,
have we found No? I assume it was a dude.
But is it?
Speaker 5 (42:51):
Cdmsbree and Clintic podcast.
Speaker 1 (42:54):
I watch the New Spider Man movie. Oh do you
like Alla? Absolutely wet her pants over it?
Speaker 2 (42:59):
Yeah, and then it was right to the other end
of the Yeah. So I feel like Norway in this
situation because I'm like, you can see both sides of
these parts that I love, these parts that I can
be a little bit confused about, but overall it's a
great piece of art.
Speaker 1 (43:10):
Okay, that's out in cinemas. It's impartial, that's balanced, perhaps.
Speaker 2 (43:13):
Perhaps balanced, my pH considered balanced. One of my favorite
parts of the movie is actually the soundtrack, which I
didn't think in a Spider Man movie I would even
consider the music, but it was a bit of a
factor to one of the pivotal scenes where, without spoilers,
Spider Man attends a house party and this song comes
on by Tam and Parlor, which we're playing as well.
Speaker 3 (43:32):
At the moments, I just feel.
Speaker 1 (43:42):
So right in the plot. Yeah, it's crazy that this
is finally the year of tam and Parlor. Do you
get that? Yeah, yeah, Dracula, it's taken so long, but okay, Colt, Yeah, So.
Speaker 2 (43:56):
I wanted to collect songs that made the scene re
a party scene because I don't feel like, I don't know,
maybe this is a gin Z thing.
Speaker 1 (44:02):
We're not going out to house parties as much.
Speaker 2 (44:04):
So if you can get that same simulation in a
film that's the right one, then it feels just the same.
Speaker 1 (44:10):
And it is a good song in there, You're like,
I'm here with you, I know what you mean. Yeah,
and the song can make the moment too, oh one
hundred percent. Okay, give me some examples. The first one
that jumped to mine.
Speaker 2 (44:19):
When I thought songs that make the scene re party,
it had to be pursued of happiness, which is in
Project X.
Speaker 1 (44:28):
This is after they smashed the garden gnome full of ikeys.
Speaker 2 (44:31):
Yes, yeah, yeah, yeah, and that kind of deciding should
we shouldn't we go like the full Night and they go, yeah,
let's go at Yes.
Speaker 1 (44:38):
This is iconic. Yeah, it is peak peak millennial house
party vibes two yeah.
Speaker 2 (44:46):
And then a year later, twenty thirteen, another music that
made the scene from a party, The Great Gatsby.
Speaker 1 (44:54):
Hmm, A little party never killed Nobody, Nobody, Fugi and
c tip yeah, yea, yeah, yeah yeah.
Speaker 2 (45:03):
I think in the movie they do kind of more
of a flapper girl sound like it's some of the.
Speaker 1 (45:08):
Movie version is different. You're right, but I think I.
Speaker 2 (45:11):
Really like it because you're hearing about this mysterious character
the whole time who is Gatsby?
Speaker 1 (45:15):
And then it's revealed in this It's just a gorgeous scene.
That movie is so good. Oh yeah, I could rewatch
the time. My brother brought me the soundtrack to that
film on vinyl. Oh but do you still have that
yeah rot that I remember listening to some of that soundtrack. Okay,
on the songs that made the scene removies. Ten Things
I Hate about You.
Speaker 2 (45:36):
When Cat Stanford gets up on the she's like the
never party girls. Now she's at a party for her
first time and she's.
Speaker 1 (45:42):
Just leaning it all out on. Imagine being on the
table to the song. I've never seen the film, but
you just described it so well coupled with the song.
But I get it. I get a whole bite, dirty
girl who never goes out.
Speaker 2 (46:01):
What is she doing dancing to begging on a table
right now at a house party, then smokes her head
on a chandelier. So I honest, songs that made the
scenery movies. You can't go past Sophia's what is a
bachelourette party when she's just about to get married and
Mamma mia.
Speaker 1 (46:19):
Oh okay and all of her girls are around and it's.
Speaker 3 (46:22):
Just meant to be a girly thing.
Speaker 2 (46:23):
But then the guys come and invade her bachelorette party
to the song.
Speaker 1 (46:28):
And they're like climbing the wall and stuff. It's so good. Ever, yeah,
the hol the hop.
Speaker 3 (46:35):
Do you have this on vibe?
Speaker 1 (46:36):
Of course it's ever. It's Mama Maya. I thought it
was a statement, not a question. That's how obvious it was.
Speaker 3 (46:45):
Okay, alright, one more okay, and I know we're doing
songs that make the scene.
Speaker 1 (46:50):
This is more modern.
Speaker 3 (46:51):
But imagine you're an.
Speaker 2 (46:53):
Ice hockey player and you've got the hots for another
ice hockey player and you're like pretty strict with your ragme,
but you go out on the town one night and
then you see this ice hockey player that you've kind
of been flirting with dancing with another girl.
Speaker 1 (47:07):
What do you play? DJ?
Speaker 4 (47:10):
Hit it.
Speaker 1 (47:17):
Compeated rivalry? I tell you, what do you think? You
love heated rivalry? Not as much as the girls from
tATu love heated rivalry. This is a whole nother paycheck
for them. Oh yeahr relevant again? Yeah, but it was.
Speaker 3 (47:34):
It's so weird because it was almost like that song
was written for that scene. I don't know.
Speaker 1 (47:39):
Bangers, Bangers and great list of films. Tools Time for
a birthday Banger birthday every day at five point thirty
we do around a birthday. Bang is the number one
song on your sixteenth birthday? And Angela is going first?
Hi Angela? Hi, how are you doing good? How are
you today? How's your Tuesday? Oh?
Speaker 6 (48:00):
A great Truthla says, try and call.
Speaker 1 (48:03):
Oh my gosh, I bet we haven't had one for
a couple of weeks. And for birthday banger as well,
you're going to get bangs. Are your back? I'll say,
I'm good to have you here. Angela, what's your day
to birth?
Speaker 6 (48:16):
The sixth of September nineteen seventeen?
Speaker 1 (48:18):
All right, easy, math you were sixteen on the sixth
of September nineteen eighty six, and Angela, this is your
birthday banger? Oh the song from the Razor commercial.
Speaker 3 (48:33):
Yeah, thank you?
Speaker 1 (48:34):
We are they Banana Rama Na. What do you think, Angela?
Absolute banger, absolute banger. Yeah, certify title eighties classic. Okay,
wait there, We're going to do a birthday banger for
Jordan Cura. Jordan, Hey, how's the going good? How are
you going on Tuesday?
Speaker 5 (48:53):
Not bad?
Speaker 3 (48:53):
Not bad?
Speaker 1 (48:54):
We can make it better. Yeah, we can make it better.
Are you actually? I think Brookshaw, I've got a good
feeling about yours. What's your day of birth? Jordan, twelfth
of May nineteen ninety six. Right, that means you were
sixteen on the twelfth of May twenty twelve, and Jordan,
on your sixteenth birthday, this was the number one song, Girl,
(49:18):
I'm gonna show you flow wrider flow with you.
Speaker 3 (49:23):
Jordan.
Speaker 7 (49:24):
Yeah, I'm so happy of that.
Speaker 1 (49:25):
Yeah, it's a banger. Real crazy singing.
Speaker 2 (49:27):
This song when you're sixteen thoughing like you says about
an umpire or a referee game.
Speaker 1 (49:32):
We go, wait, what's it really about? No, flow writer
is just a great umpire? Yeah yeah, yeah, wait there, Jordan.
Let's a tune. One more birthday banger for Amy Amy. Hello,
has your day been?
Speaker 5 (49:45):
Oh?
Speaker 8 (49:46):
Pretty good?
Speaker 3 (49:46):
Just an overing house? Oh?
Speaker 1 (49:48):
How can you day be good when you're moving house?
That's one of the position worst days because of my
own house.
Speaker 3 (49:55):
Not just congratulations, Amy. They must feel like a new leaf.
Speaker 7 (50:00):
Yeah, pretty good.
Speaker 1 (50:01):
Are you paying someone to do the bond cleaner your
old place?
Speaker 8 (50:04):
So?
Speaker 1 (50:04):
Are you're going to do it yourself? Yes, that's an
our decision. Okay, what's your date of birth? Amy, let's
to your birthday banger.
Speaker 6 (50:12):
Ninety one?
Speaker 1 (50:13):
You Amy was sixteenth on sixteen on the fourth of
June two thousand and seven, two thousand and seven. Excuse me,
and this is your birthday banger.
Speaker 4 (50:26):
June.
Speaker 1 (50:29):
It is pretty good. Jen Neo's got is it four wives? Now? Wow?
Is it four Yeah, it doesn't diminish the banger. All
the wives really, you know, yeah, four equally important wives.
Actually that's not true. He's out with I said that
(50:50):
the first wife is the most important wife, as she
should be. Yeah, Amy, it's information you didn't need, Amy.
But I can tell you that I'm voting for your
birthday banger. Are you the VA?
Speaker 2 (51:03):
That's one vote for Amy, I'm going to do it.
Feels like a Tuesday birthday.
Speaker 1 (51:07):
Banger you're in. Yeah, Amy, June, you've just one birthday banker.
Congrats on the new house.
Speaker 3 (51:13):
Oh thank you.
Speaker 1 (51:15):
In two thousand and seven, here's a birthday banger from
Neo On's it him.
Speaker 5 (51:21):
Means Branklin.
Speaker 1 (51:27):
It's Neo for birthday banger. It's number one and two
thousand and seven. It's Amy's birthday banger. That's a tune.
There's a really good version of that that has a
kangne verse on the front, which I memorized to heart.
And it sucks that we can't play it or I
can't wrap it out loud anymore.
Speaker 2 (51:43):
So just knowing that, you know what, there's some street
cred on that. No, but do you want to give
a little bit now?
Speaker 3 (51:49):
Nah?
Speaker 1 (51:50):
No, Nah, you don't feel moved after that, I feel appropriate. Yeah,
just in the confined space of your own bathroom.
Speaker 4 (51:57):
I'll do it.
Speaker 1 (51:57):
I'll do it in the car.
Speaker 3 (51:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (51:59):
Yeah, that's a Harvest.
Speaker 5 (52:03):
Podcast.
Speaker 1 (52:04):
There's a guy who's received a ticket for not having
a WAFF and I don't think he's in the wrong here.
Usually I'm like, well, them's the breaks. You either have
it or you don't kind of situation. I remember my
friend when we were at university, so we had no money,
and she parked outside UNI and she had no warrant
and no red Joe and it was a four hundred
(52:26):
dollars ticket. Four hundred dollars. Yeah, she wasn't the pub
for a while. Put it that way. We didn't see
her for like two months or she tried to find
the money. This guy's in christ Church and he's in
the news today because, yeah, he got a ticket for
not having a waff, which is not news. But the
difference here is that he got a ticket for not
having a warren of fitness whilst in the process of
(52:48):
getting a warren of fitness.
Speaker 3 (52:49):
When you say in the process, because I'm I was, Oh,
my redo's on the way, it's in the mail.
Speaker 1 (52:54):
That's a classic defense. How deep was he into the
red or you get pulled over with no off and
you go, oh, it's crazy man, I'm actually on my
way to now right now, And some police officers will
go okay, cool, I'll follow you. Yeah, and you go
oh shit, but un less you can still do it. Yeah,
yeah's still pulling. This guy got a ticket for not
having a Warren of fitness while he was parked outside
(53:18):
the mechanic that was doing his warren and so he'd
got there. Yeah, this guy's lived overseas. He's a Christich guy.
He's lived overseas for a year. So obviously his ridgio
and his warrant have lapsed. Yeah, and he's trying to
get his Mix five Jesz back on the road. Yeah,
And so he's did the right thing. You can't get
a ridgio until you have a warrant.
Speaker 4 (53:35):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (53:36):
So he's driven the car to the mechanic where he's
parked it up and they're like, oh, you will do
a service and do a warrant for it, just park
it over there. And so while it's sitting there, the
parking wooden has come past and gone, oh no warren
or parking warden. He's like, yeah, killer the day he'll
one hundred and fifty five dollars. What is he supposed
(53:56):
to do?
Speaker 4 (53:57):
Like what more?
Speaker 3 (53:58):
He's gone about everything he had been.
Speaker 1 (54:01):
He is at war with the crash Root City Council.
He's been at war with them for seven months over this.
This is this is one of those ones. And I
get in this mode too, and I know you do, Claudia.
It's more than a ticket at the stage. It's a
matter of principle, isn't it. It's about it's about yeah,
it's about everything that is wrong with this world. And
(54:21):
he's still losing. By the way, he's been issued at
court fine because he hasn't paid it yet the councilor like, nah,
screw you. That's not good enough, that's inherently wrong. What's happening?
Very good phrase there, I agree with you.
Speaker 3 (54:36):
What to be?
Speaker 1 (54:38):
Could could people just get away with that?
Speaker 8 (54:40):
Though?
Speaker 2 (54:40):
I could bark my un waff and registered car near
a mechanic and just be like, hey, was that the mechanic?
Speaker 1 (54:47):
You could? You could? He has forwarded the booking email
to the crash Ut City Council that he had from
before the ticket was issued. He goes it's literally booked
in and it passed its warrant by the way.
Speaker 6 (55:00):
Oh.
Speaker 1 (55:02):
That's awful, and then fighting that at that stage, I
don't know what you do.
Speaker 2 (55:05):
He's driving a fancy car. I can't he just fork
out the tooth. I know it's a principal, but just
if it's dragging on seven months, it's sort of fancy car.
It's an IM five that sounds fancy usually, is it not.
Speaker 3 (55:16):
It's one of those little hairdresser convert any car with
numbers or leaders.
Speaker 1 (55:20):
I'm like, oh, okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, right, no, well
I think it's not a swift day. You don't pay it,
don't bler anyway, you don't pay it. I feel like
this is the beginning of one of those guys you
see on Instagram reels who's like standing up at like
a town meeting and he's like abuse that. He's like
shouting his peace, and everyone behind him is like, yeah,
fight the power.
Speaker 2 (55:40):
Yeah, or we're going to get a docco in ten
years time and find out how I took on an
entire council.
Speaker 1 (55:46):
Yeah, it's going to be radicalized. Anyway, We're behind him.
Don't pay it.
Speaker 5 (55:51):
The z M Podcast Networks.
Speaker 1 (55:53):
Shrock's here filling in for Brie after the show tonight, Brock,
I'm flying to crash it safe travels. Thank you. Good
to do down there tomorrow morning. Christ Church is where
my best friend in the whole world lives.
Speaker 3 (56:04):
And apparently where all the depressed and dull people are.
Speaker 1 (56:06):
By the way we cover that off earlier, someone from
Perth to everyone in christ Church has let themselves go.
Speaker 3 (56:10):
It's about to get a little bit less depressed and
a little bit less dull with you there.
Speaker 1 (56:14):
Not my friend Adam, though he's a ray of sunshine,
but we don't get to see each other very often. Okay,
we live at opposite ends of the country. Exciting it's
a flying visit though. I'm down tonight and I'm back
tomorrow morning. But one of our favorite things to do,
my friend and I is to watch the All Blacks.
That's all we bond over. Tomorrow morning at five am,
(56:36):
there's an All Black Yes, So I have reached out
to my friend and I said, hey, I've got a hotel.
There's an All Blacks game on at five am tomorrow morning.
Why don't I ask if they can wheel a trundle
a bed into the hotel room and you and I, oh,
do the full have an impromptu sleepover, and then get
up and watch the All Blacks together tomorrow morning, excited,
(56:58):
get a room service breakfast, you know, hopefully with the
game on. Yeah, my friend has left me on scene
of that suggestion, so naturally we have called him to say,
what the hell? Man, Yeah, what the hell? What the hell?
Speaker 2 (57:17):
Someone else got a hotel book, You've got a better offer.
Speaker 1 (57:20):
What's going on?
Speaker 7 (57:21):
No, Look, we can meets in the morning, but I
mean of sleepover scenes. I don't know, it's a bit
full monty, so you think.
Speaker 1 (57:31):
Well, I didn't think so. Are you telling me you
would prefer because the game's at five? Yeah, and we
could sit there alarm for ten to five, make a
cup of tea.
Speaker 7 (57:38):
You know.
Speaker 1 (57:39):
Are you telling me you'd prefer to get up at
ten to four and do a commute to come over
and watch the game.
Speaker 7 (57:45):
Look, I've been on the early shifts, so it's certainly doable.
But maybe I know, maybe you were more of a
fan of the you know, the full smaller board.
Speaker 3 (57:57):
Surely you guys have done like a little yeah, give
the bed before that?
Speaker 1 (58:02):
Is that where you took to is it because I
suggested the trundle of beard rather than top of tailor.
Speaker 4 (58:07):
Is that where things's a pretty extreme measure?
Speaker 7 (58:10):
Is it not?
Speaker 4 (58:11):
What the trundle bed?
Speaker 1 (58:13):
I don't know, slept on the trundle bed and you, Adam,
got the hotel bed? Was that insulting? Do you want
the good bed?
Speaker 7 (58:22):
I think this whole prospect is probably raising red flakes
for my partner.
Speaker 1 (58:25):
Last time she's invited to if she wants to come.
Last time met him and I went away. He slept
on the couch and I slept on the floor. So
the sleeping arrangements shouldn't be a factor in the past,
shouldn't be the main issue. Yes, produced Ela, what did
you want to contribute?
Speaker 7 (58:38):
Hi?
Speaker 4 (58:38):
Adam?
Speaker 3 (58:38):
I just want to say, this is quality time with
your best friend that you barely see. You don't want to, like,
spend as much time as you can with him?
Speaker 7 (58:46):
Yeah, yeah, Look, Hey, I have not dismissed our arrangements,
but you know we're on the planing phase.
Speaker 1 (58:54):
We're just happening tomorrow morning.
Speaker 9 (58:57):
You can't be in the planning phase.
Speaker 1 (58:58):
We've been friends for over twenty years, okay, and we
both turned forty in the next six months, Adam. Realistically,
we could only see each other a handful of times
before we die.
Speaker 3 (59:08):
Life is sure, Adam, or before the all Blacks start
coming down and losing and then you guys, you know,
oh no, too far? Sorry?
Speaker 1 (59:16):
Is that worse? Would you rather lose the friend? There's
there's actually no need for that brooke that was actually
Adam will be a bad luck charm.
Speaker 2 (59:23):
If you don't, you don't feel like you need to
stay the night and get excited, and then it'll be
more like and you wake up together and then chuck
on the game.
Speaker 1 (59:31):
Come on, it's all part of it.
Speaker 7 (59:34):
Maybe maybe you guys are wanting me over.
Speaker 1 (59:36):
Yeah, okay, cool, pack him all black jarmies and ask
your partner. I'll see you at nine thirty. Okay, ye
love you love you to say he's so awkward about it.
He's only saying that for the radio.
Speaker 5 (59:54):
Oh it's it MS Brilling Clint Podcast.
Speaker 1 (59:58):
And that's the end of the show. End of us
for a Tuesday. I'm gonna go and going to the airport.
I'm flying a crash hitch for the night.
Speaker 3 (01:00:04):
Say travels, Are you and dam gonna have a little sleepover? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:00:07):
He still hasn't confirmed. I feel like he doesn't want
to do the sleep of a bit, but he does
want to do the rugby watching bit. Mm so this
is my friend and crash, which, by the way, I've
invited him to my hotel room for a sleepover so
we can get up at five am and watch the
All Blacks together tomorrow, just.
Speaker 3 (01:00:22):
Like good old times.
Speaker 1 (01:00:23):
It wasn't received in the way I thought it was
gonna be received. I think it was gonna be like, sick,
we can get room service, have some beep on the beach,
tell some stories, wear the rogue, get no sleep, and
then get up with All Blacks. And he was like,
I gotta be honest, bro, vibes are off. So I
actually invitation rescinded.
Speaker 2 (01:00:43):
Are you gonna hear die on this hill where you're like,
if you're not going to stay the night, you're not
gonna watch the footy with me at all?
Speaker 1 (01:00:46):
I should I maybe I should. I should have been
a self respect and say you either sleep with me
or you or you or you sleep sleep with your
girlfriend back tomorrow see you guys. Then play zitdims brim
clint On, Inser, Facebook, TikTok and live
Speaker 5 (01:01:05):
Weekdays from three on Zim
