hell of a year for them. Yeah, and no sir
or damon in front of their name, because we don't
do that anymore, do we do? We still do? The

were going to get rid of that. But these are

(01:45):

As well, so spoil it warm, I want to know.
Don't hold your breath, all right? The flee and Haley Bard.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
Oh my gosh, I would say that Eric, a forty
eight year old from Pennsylvania in the States, does not
know how to emotionally regulate himself, and I think Eric
might need a little bit of therapy. So him and
his wife having a bit of an argument about the
fat they'reetting divorced, okay, which yeah, he I hear rocks

(02:35):
One's world, Carol, yep, and I'm just leaving.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
I'm just leaving space. Space came out. Yes, in case
one wanted to comment on that. No, no, no, no, okay, right.
Some of the other days, like it's like you can't
start it came out to me, was like's not married.
I was like, yeah, correct.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
The other day, when Vaughn starts talking about his girlfriend
in the text machine goes, what it's good fun where
out here living?

Speaker 1 (03:06):
I think you should have taken on her in the show.
Should have taken out of full page out in the Herald.
I don't think everybody's got I think everybody I could
not afford the full page should get some sort of flyers,
should do a flyer drop fifteen YouTube pre rolls by
I'm Vaughan Smith and my marriage is over. It's done.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
Yeah, so so Eric's forty a and his marriage is
also over. But there was still sort of working through things,
and she said, you know, it's over. This is what's
going to happen, and I'm leaving you. We're getting a divorce.

Speaker 4 (03:36):
And he said, if it's over, I will tear this
house down.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
She's like cool, And what what we need to add?
And here is that he actually has an excavator like
a you know, like a digger type situation. And so
he got into that and what he did was he
tore the house down. I'll show you a photo a
whole house, well enough that the structural integrity of the
entire house has been compromised.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
Half though. God, he was like that chimney didn't fall
on them.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
Yeah, I guess he was taking his half early, his
half of the half the house. Yeah, well, we'll just
go fifty to fifty is we want to do, and
I'll take my fifty. Now he took a bulldozer through
half the house. He has been arrested because obviously, yeah,
what you call the police on there.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
But it's damaged to your property, it'll be damaged to
shared property.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
Yeah, yeah, I guess it's damaged to shared property.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
It's also like she's in the house. Yeah, you know
what I mean, in the house. Yeah, he probably needs
to talk to someone also here you go.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
Here are the exact charges causing a catastrophe?

Speaker 1 (04:40):
What I feel like we lif for that a law
causing a catastrophe.

Speaker 4 (04:45):
Ninety six nine six if you were a police person
in New Zealand.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
Is there a lord of cause a catastrophe?

Speaker 4 (04:50):
Lawyers, law students text.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
In which should be carotophy catastrophe In New Zealand, while
there isn't, a single little lord is designated as causing
a literal catastrophe. Current legislative moves have sparked intense debate.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
If I was going to get arrested for anything, it would.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
Crime like natural hazards, insurance and blah blah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
so no we don't.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
He was arrested causing a catastrophe, rickless endangerment, she was
in the house disorderly contact conduct and yeah, the damage
to the house is severe enough that the investigat that
the entire building's structural integrity is probably screwed.

Speaker 1 (05:37):
I said, the whole house we have to be ripped down.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
Yeah, so in a week's time, he's a preliminary hearing.

Speaker 1 (05:43):
To see, I'd be playing a bit of insanity there,
you reckon? Yeah, if I ever get done for anything.
It's going to be insanity. You're in sanity on catastrophe.
Any proof, I'll be like podcasts can't have yourself.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
Everything I say is recorded about five hours a day.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
It's all there podcast Network. From the unmoderated comments section,
This is the top six King's Birthday honors list released yesterday.
So those people, I've actually been to one of these
services at Government House upon my auntie got her that's right,
or an ob for services to nitball Bravo. It was

(06:21):
a pretty cool ceremony.

Speaker 4 (06:22):
Yeah, oh that's right, you win here.

Speaker 1 (06:24):
Yeah, it was pretty rare. So yeah, if you get
the chance, would recommend hell of a high tea. Oh yeah,
if you it's a proper ceramony going along and you
get em. Well, I got the top six kiwies that
were who was given one because I.

Speaker 4 (06:41):
Don't know, I'm like a brief lurst.

Speaker 1 (06:45):
Oh and I had one. I had a list before,
some good some good folks. Any rugby players any see
any rugby players? Right? I know? Oh, mate Barry Soper
got one, but he's not a sur Okay, So Dame's
Missus Susan has all for services to education and Professor
Elizabeth Rata for services to education. The Knights will be

(07:07):
doctor Paul Baker for services to health, doctor mister Peter
Boucher for services to the state. In the judiciary says
that we've got to call judging her hands, Professor Amitriz
James William Chapman for services to literary education. Like I
want to say, on one hand, I don't know any
of these people, But on the other hand, this is
how I like it. The people that just behind the

(07:27):
scenes the hard ware do it all that they haven't
won a bloody rugby game, you know, yeah, yeah, yeah.
It's always a massive list of people that have done
some good stuff. Congratulations to all those top six keys
that were robbed of King's Birthday honors. Number six on
the list is plus, the new TV and Z plus mascot.

(07:50):
Now you're saying that wrong. No, it's about p L
U S S I E plus two Are there two s?

Speaker 5 (07:56):
Is?

Speaker 1 (07:57):
Like, because it's TV and Z plus, so it would
be plusy nuts.

Speaker 4 (08:00):
But when you put in two whisss like that, it
does plus.

Speaker 1 (08:04):
Why would TV and said name the mascot plus plus
Allen know about this, I don't know. Maybe it's named
after it she's probably trade. It's a beloved official mascot
and faith beloved according to the thing. Okay, but I
just think out there doing its thing, someone just want

(08:25):
plus did.

Speaker 2 (08:26):
We get do we get a round table on that name,
on that character?

Speaker 1 (08:29):
I have thought how many I think they knew what
they were doing? Levels of management, you know, brainstorm to report, management, management, management.
Before someone finally signed off on plusy the new TV
and said.

Speaker 2 (08:45):
It just reminds me of another word. It's so close,
but it's plusy p l u is it's i E.
If it was plus a p l s u I
E correct or p l s u y. Even that
looks like a little yeah, now that's plusy.

Speaker 1 (08:59):
You're right how it is. Services to Television, Television on
Demand Television number five and the Lessons, the top six
kiwis that were robbed of King's Birthday honors, Cheers and
Dale the Cheese Chess still not on there. They gay
cheese purveying icons. They've been making their gay cheese for years,
so much gay cheese original awareness, and that's what makes it.

(09:23):
They weren't married and they just go out lots. No,
they weren't married because they were making cheese, but when
it was not legal. Okay, wow, so cheers and privately gased.
Sort of a de facto there was.

Speaker 7 (09:36):
Too much privacy about it. Old boys, Ma, they just
never see they never said.

Speaker 1 (09:41):
Gayze it in that much dairy. Jesus brave, very brave.
They should have got the chees bottom may for sure. Yeah, Dale,
it's all in the order of the name. Yeah, number
four on the list of the top six kiwis were
robed King's birthday honors. The L and PA bottle before
it had its makeover. Oh yeah, that I saw. I
saw the clear bottle looks like personal at the weekend.

(10:03):
It looks like a person looks like is it too
hard to make the brown plastic? They're just like, it's
too hard, too hard, So I'm not. Is it more
expensive as it painted half of the legendary l MP
bottle and pydor on sorry of the own What do
you mean they have not?

Speaker 8 (10:22):
So?

Speaker 1 (10:22):
Why would you do that? Sir? What have they painted
it as clear? It's a bottle? What have they done
that for?

Speaker 4 (10:34):
It's hydrated? Person though, that's not it.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
Doesn't look like in real life. In real life, it
looks a bit more like a dehydrated. That's I think
number three on the less of the top six kies
that were robbed of King's Birthday honors, last joining plus
e Chees and Dale in the olymp bottle. But it's
a malonial Skinny and Bony for has worked with dogs
with body dysmorphia. That's beautiful. Yeah. Can you imagine this

(11:00):
dog is greyhound by by breed. Yeah, and everyone's like, oh,
skinny and Bony really sticks with the dog. Yeah, totally
really sticks with the dog.

Speaker 4 (11:10):
He eats and he eats and he eats. He just
can't hold onto.

Speaker 1 (11:12):
It, hold onto it because he just the minute he
sees anything fluffy, he's just eighty mile an hour. Yea,
oh gone. Number two on the lst of the top
six kiwis that were robbed of King's Birthday honest list,
we've already had. Plus you'll remember offer services to strength
hard because it's the sort of jar room pullussy polussy.
It's worse.

Speaker 4 (11:32):
Sorry.

Speaker 1 (11:33):
Number two on the list the good Night Kiwi who
you know when I was a kid, climbed up the
letter letter every night to swatch off the transmitter reference. Yeah,
and also growing up with flat screen TVs. The state
broadcast many times of carts just made him redundant. No, no,
no redundancy pay out, no done anything for years. Yeah,

(11:55):
and that's why we should be honoring him. Yeah. True
for his services and prospective aspective services and number one
in the less of the top sex keywis that were
robbed with King's birthday on his last Tina from Turner's Yeah,
of course, so much cars being sold, so many cars.
It's so many cars. So many cars have been moved

(12:15):
because of Tina from Turner's name of more iconic us
the elder of the last two years. Plus it's a character,
huh howe? A character? She sings and dances, and she
does does the comedy? Does it all?

Speaker 8 (12:27):
Just?

Speaker 1 (12:27):
Plus he sing and dance. I actually don't know if
Plussy has a voice or is a silent mascot. Hold
on his.

Speaker 2 (12:38):
I've got a few more sort of young eyes across
that massot.

Speaker 1 (12:41):
We might have had too many young eyes on it,
and I think they've gone for a due lingo level. Yeah, yeah,
sort of situation. Done a video on TikTok of No,
I don't want to roll around a wheel of a
vase to match it up, so I can watch TikTok
on my laptop. You know what, it doesn't get a view. Okay,
exit that is today's obsets plays.

Speaker 5 (13:04):
It ends.

Speaker 1 (13:07):
Been teasing, she's been teasing mate.

Speaker 2 (13:09):
End of April, Taylor Swift, cheeky little gal put a
countdown on her social media and anyone's.

Speaker 1 (13:16):
Like, new album, guys, No, she just released one. Also,
she's getting married, Like that's that's surely on the top
of the list of thos. That's not what the countdown
was for.

Speaker 2 (13:26):
The countdown lead to nothing, but everyone was like, what's
that background on that countdown because that looks like the
iconic blue and white cloud wallpaper from toys.

Speaker 1 (13:36):
Okay, rumors, rumors, rumors, swill.

Speaker 2 (13:40):
Then there was a billboard they had ts toy story
Taylor Swift, Everyone's excited. Toy Story five coming out.

Speaker 1 (13:51):
On June nineteen, so this month, yep.

Speaker 4 (13:55):
And this toy story is about.

Speaker 1 (13:57):
Toys versus tech, the old school toys, the girl that
has them. Now Bonnie's spending more and more time on
lily Pad, which is like a tablet screen character. Who's
the bad guy in this because she's not playing with
the toys, telling the original toys. So everyone's like what
does it all mean?

Speaker 2 (14:15):
And just now Taylor Swift has confirmed now we hit
to our swifties carwhen and Shannon, She's just posted on
her social media confirming a Toy Story collab exactly.

Speaker 9 (14:23):
She is putting out an original song for the film.
And you know what, I'm excited for this, But as
someone who isn't a Disney adult, I wasn't planning on
seeing this movie.

Speaker 1 (14:34):
So maybe it's Oh do you know, I just remember
the weekend they're having a special screening for the people
who were children when the first Toy Story came out
in nineteen ninety five, so like thirty one years ago.
Was it ninety five that the first one was out? Yeah,
that's crazy before that it's around then anyway. So then

(14:55):
you can go along and they're going to have like
WANs and stuff. You can watch da crat.

Speaker 10 (15:00):
Do you know they actually did a media screening.

Speaker 9 (15:02):
I think it was last week and media I only
got forty five minutes of it. The first forty five minutes.

Speaker 1 (15:07):
Oh, I hate it. Is that because it's not finished.

Speaker 10 (15:12):
I think it might have been to cover this.

Speaker 8 (15:14):
Yeah, everyone was saying, all the influencers were like, I
wanted to give you the tea and I don't have
the tea.

Speaker 2 (15:21):
So her posted I said, it's a Toys Story. You
knew it, my new original song.

Speaker 1 (15:25):
I knew it. I knew you. That's what it's called.
I knew it. I knew you.

Speaker 2 (15:28):
For Disney and Pixars, Toy Story five will be yours
on June fifth, so we get the song before the movie.

Speaker 1 (15:34):
So song on Friday. Friday Friday.

Speaker 2 (15:36):
I almost dreamed of getting to write for these characters
who I've adored since I was five years old. Oh
my god, watching the first Toy Story movie, I fell
instantly in love with Toy Story five. When I was
lucky enough to see it in its early stages. I
wrote this song as soon as I got home from
the screening. Sometimes you just know right.

Speaker 1 (15:54):
When you know your name, when your name you can
pre order now exclusively on my song.

Speaker 10 (15:58):
Can I put my conspiracy swifty head on?

Speaker 1 (16:01):
Please?

Speaker 9 (16:01):
I think everyone's been There's been so many rumors over
the past year, and she got engaged that her wedding
is this month.

Speaker 1 (16:07):
Now.

Speaker 10 (16:07):
I don't really care, get married whenever.

Speaker 9 (16:09):
I'll enjoy it after the fact, But fifty one percent
of the marriages will be over but if she is
getting married this month, this is a great cover for that,
doesn't it.

Speaker 8 (16:18):
Everyone's gone to the screening, everyone's busy with that, and.

Speaker 9 (16:21):
Then no one is focusing on her wedding there.

Speaker 2 (16:26):
Okay, okay, that's that's a hot conspiracy.

Speaker 8 (16:29):
She's also released merch for this which out here and
the producers both we're kind of laughing at, like this
isn't all about you, Like I love Taylor so much,
but like this isn't.

Speaker 1 (16:37):
Your moment some money?

Speaker 8 (16:40):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (16:41):
Yeah, So the song is called I Knew It, I
Knew You.

Speaker 2 (16:44):
So it'll be Friday release and then you've still got
to wait like a couple of weeks for the actual
Toy Story five.

Speaker 4 (16:50):
I think I think I'm done with Toy Story.

Speaker 1 (16:53):
Three brilliant, yet four it's like because he kind of
four it was says to be well, three were says
to be it, and then four was supposed to be it.

Speaker 2 (17:03):
I mean, I'd love them, but like Tom Hanks and Tammelan,
I like elderly men now And that was sort of
just are they still voicing the characters of audience?

Speaker 1 (17:12):
Yeah? Yeah, I don't know. Timl is seventy two years old.
Do you know what I mean. And now he's playing
this like young and Tom Hanks is sixty nine. Nice.

Speaker 11 (17:22):
Then podcast Network plays it in spletch one and Haley.

Speaker 1 (17:29):
Fun Hailey, silly little pool, silly little.

Speaker 12 (17:34):
It is so silly, silly, silly that silly little pool.

Speaker 13 (17:38):
Silly little pole, Sally little.

Speaker 1 (17:43):
Pole, silly sell a little poll as have you holped
up with the same sex the same gender? Is that
you do? Because it's Pride Month's happy Pride month to
those Northern Hemisphere, Yeah, because the game is like a
warm months. Yeah, the games fed. Yeah, but we get

(18:05):
warm in the Northern Hemisphere and there the Northern HEMI gays,
yeah or the nhgs like we'll have ours now then, yeah,
right when it's warmer, yeah, exactly. So, so we're about
to be bombarded with corporations Northern Operation.

Speaker 2 (18:23):
Wild Beid claims rainbows on things this month.

Speaker 1 (18:29):
We've always been loving gays, Yeah, this month love of
the gays is. What was the latest census? Do you
remember New Zealand's census? They asked gay? Do they ask
your sexual orientation? And the census that was the last
one that we've ever done, isn't it the because an'
they getting rid of the census.

Speaker 4 (18:46):
Yeah, census, and I said a little bit.

Speaker 1 (18:51):
Like after a couple of WANs.

Speaker 4 (18:52):
I'd say seventy five twenty five.

Speaker 1 (18:56):
The New Zealand Census did ask about your sexual identity
in twenty twenty three. Was the first time it was
an optional question asked on the individual form to anyone
age fifteen and over. You can choose answer this or
not right, right, right. So that's that's what we've got.
So everyone's all point one did revealed that they belong

(19:17):
to a minority sexual identity four point so one hundred
and forty four thousand adults and the census someone's fur
bet on their sensors. Yeah, that's not many, is it.
Have you helped up with the same six hour results?
Seventy two percent of people said no. Twenty eight percent
of people said yes. Hailey shocked. You thought it would

(19:39):
be higher.

Speaker 2 (19:40):
I thought it'd be a bit higher. Someone we're not saying,
are you gay? Do you identify as bisexual, pan.

Speaker 1 (19:46):
Sexual or gay? Have you done it? Have you done it?
An anonymous message into the studio on nine sex nine
sex define howkup does mouth to south count Yes? No, mouth,
I would have got Mouth to mouth counted, Yeah, South
to South counts Mouth to South, South to our South
Stuart Island South? What toastuff have? You're second on someone's toes,

(20:08):
then that's definitely a hockey I'm sorry, that's just friends.
It's weirder. It's okay. Second on toes is going to
be well down the list. Have you ever hooked up
with the same sex? Twenty eight percent of people said
they have years. I'm not that exciting yet, said Charlotte.
Yet I actually left it. Yeah, South out, Matt says,

(20:29):
gold star over here, Matt Classic Matt, Matt. Matt's are
always the most common game, the most common gay name
there is. Yeah. Dan, Oh, you're simply must darlings. It's
delightful it is.

Speaker 2 (20:40):
Dan said, what was that quote from Saltburn? I had
sex with a woman once. It was all too wet
for me. Minnesota lovely and dry, Minnesota, lovely and dry.

Speaker 1 (20:52):
The mom said today, Yes, on Saltburn, that was a
great movie. It was all too wet for me. Minnesota,
lovely and dry. Female. George he sees if you guys
even seen boobs, God, that's so good. Hands on those Yeah,
seeing them is one thing feeling them just a completely
different game.

Speaker 4 (21:14):
That's so hetero of you in the little pole.

Speaker 1 (21:18):
I do apologize, have been to you got to wrap your.

Speaker 2 (21:22):
Hands around those seeing them is one thing there, you
got it, got it.

Speaker 1 (21:28):
Back on the gay Radar, Rene said at nineteen twenty,
it was very common to get drunk and hook up
with the girls now married to one. So that year
go have you know you know black Manny says a
far Nann Ashley said, only when I randomly decided to
go to a swinger's party. Is a single female decided
not for me? But boobs are cool, But the rest

(21:53):
of it was all a bit whippy noses bis but
very much want to ohis nearly half the years gone.
Sorry tune the second and you haven't hooked up with
the woman. You haven't got to do it by September?
Is simply a master like anonymous plase I Oh, I

(22:17):
gave it a go. Okay, I tried it out. Yeah,
they use the term suck in the eggplant. I'm not
happy to say that on the radio. It turns out
I'm not gay. My girlfriend says, it means I'm less
gay than everyone else because I have tried it. But
it's not for me. It's true. There's the old saying,
don't knock until you try it. You giving it a knock,

(22:37):
you give it another, try a bad one, give it
another go, you know, because sometimes the hack some of it,
some of it off, don't they. Yeah, you've got to
get it. You've got to try one. I'm hacked. No,
i am both. Try both. That's a totally different experience,
Kursey said. Girls kest better. That's a fact they do.
It's lovely and soft. For me, I have a hall

(23:01):
past on marriage. It's wonderful.

Speaker 4 (23:03):
Oh, so send your hetero marriage.

Speaker 1 (23:08):
Gay play ladder, play around, all right, sell today, have
you ever hooked up at the same sex under? Twenty
eight percent of you said yes. The then podcast needwork
prod you, sir. Shannon's unpredictable history, Oh yes, hello darling.
If you loved her hacks, you're gonna love her history now.

(23:29):
The history is resoundingly Oh it's so much better, so
much better. But basically, Shannon watches two types of things,
the most unpalatable trash television cured making us all dumber
by the second, and intense history documentaries. Yeah, there's no
middle ground. In fact, will often fall asleep. Yeah, listening

(23:51):
and watching Moses history documentaries every night without fail. And
so we're tapping into that wealth of knowledge. Yes we are,
because it's great to learn. Yes, Shannon's Unpredictable History. What's
today's Unpredictable History episode? Shannon?

Speaker 4 (24:05):
Because its been pretty grim so far, I'd say, yeah.

Speaker 8 (24:08):
This one's a bit more whimsical, I would say, Okay,
So we're heading back to the Greek god kind of
era about five hundred.

Speaker 1 (24:14):
Best Taylor's second album, The Greek God Era mixt to Fearless.

Speaker 4 (24:19):
It was the Greek Gods.

Speaker 8 (24:21):
So we're talking today about he was called the father
of tragedy, a playwright called Esculus.

Speaker 1 (24:27):
Which is what Escalators named after him.

Speaker 8 (24:30):
Right, Solus was this famous playwright. Everyone loved him like
he was a less celebrity in this Greek era, and
a prophecy happened while he was living, saying he was
going to die by a house falling on him, and
this freakdut Escalus out right, he was like, I simply
now will never go inside again. I don't want to die,

(24:52):
so I will not go indoors.

Speaker 1 (24:54):
So we're thinking like a house collapsing and I'm not
a wizard of Oz. I was thinking of one of
those house moving trucks, you know, and you Clark Gate, Yeah,
slipped off the time I see one, because here's our
house yard by my house. For past a couple of
times a month there'll be a house moving and I
always shake my fast like a claw because of one

(25:16):
series on moving houses.

Speaker 8 (25:18):
Yeah, yeah, Wellculus was pretty freaked out by this. So yeah,
he was like, I'm no longer going indoors. I'm going
to die by a house falling on my head. And
so one day he was hanging out outside and this
was in front of a lot of people, again a
less celebrity. Wherever Isculus was, everyone else was. And one
day a little eagle was having a fly or a
big hawky kind of bird whatever it was going down

(25:40):
in the five hundred bcs. This bog hawky bird was
about to have his lunch, which was a turtle for
the hawk. And the hawk then looks down and Seesculus, who,
like you, my friends, was a bald brother, and sees
this bald head and mistakes it for a rock, which
is how hawks opened hers.

Speaker 1 (26:00):
They smash him against a rock.

Speaker 8 (26:01):
So this hawk then drops purposefully from quite high the
turtle onto Eschylus's head and killed him. So he died
from a falling house because turtles.

Speaker 1 (26:12):
It was a turtle there.

Speaker 4 (26:19):
Was called the father of tragedy.

Speaker 8 (26:20):
All of his plays he wrote with like these huge
tragic stories, and he literally the prophecy came true.

Speaker 1 (26:27):
A turtle fellow, bloody misery it. So is this again?
Here's another playing ball. So is this actual or is it?

Speaker 2 (26:39):
Because it feels mythological almost, you know, like a sort
of a tale.

Speaker 8 (26:43):
No, he was a real man. He was this playwright.
His plays are very famous to this day. But no,
the turtle fully fell on his head. If you look
it up, there's all these stories about it. It's about
five hundred and ten BC.

Speaker 1 (26:54):
Turtle house kill was a great episode of unpredictable history.
That was fun. I like five stars. If we were
doing stars, that would be five stars. What a great story.

Speaker 2 (27:06):
Five again, I mean that's three for three. To be honest,
it almost makes you think, are we.

Speaker 1 (27:11):
Still doing the hacks? Do we bother anymore? Retire the hacks?
Predictable history?

Speaker 8 (27:17):
It is notable that I got an intro bed for this,
But you're still singing love shack for men.

Speaker 1 (27:21):
Yeah. Yeah, we've got to get in that both. I
don't know if is it worthy. I think we just
stepped with unpredictable history now immediately worthy.

Speaker 11 (27:31):
Yeah, Florn and Haley big pod.

Speaker 2 (27:36):
My mom, what what's my parents? Boomers sixty five sixty four?

Speaker 1 (27:43):
I think so we are really up. Can you imagine, like,
because you know, you watch these podcasts and they talk
to like the Godfather of AI or whatever, and he's
like a guy your parents age. Imagine having a parent
that wasn't like tech useless, I know, like invented or
the Internet or computers.

Speaker 4 (28:02):
So like my brother's very techy, he's very tech savvy.

Speaker 1 (28:06):
I'm enough to get by.

Speaker 2 (28:09):
And my mom and dad, I'll say this because they're
not in the country anymore profoundly useless.

Speaker 1 (28:15):
My mom's good. She knows their way around. Like my
mom just.

Speaker 4 (28:18):
Can't remember a password and.

Speaker 1 (28:22):
Look for yea beside the computer. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah,
yeah yeah. I'd love to see those Southeast Southeast Asian
hackers break into mom and dad's house and find the
password and go down too. Luck with that the whatever
before it was with the one with the letters down
the side. Because if you need the Google password. You
go down to g.

Speaker 4 (28:44):
And it's the same one.

Speaker 2 (28:46):
So my mom's like always asked me and my brother
for help with tech, like whether it's something with the
rpad or something with the logan, or something with the
TV or something like this. That's just what we do
as her younger kids.

Speaker 1 (28:58):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (28:59):
So color me intrigued when the other day my mum
messaged me, as you may know if you've just joined
the show, my parents moved in with me at the
end of last year, moved in with me.

Speaker 1 (29:09):
Not I moved in with them. It's just there's a
key now.

Speaker 2 (29:12):
My parents moved in with me, so they live in
my house. That I was out and about and I
get text from Mom saying Wi Fi down, wi Fi
down right, And so I check online to see if
there's a in my area a problem, and I text
a couple of neighbors and.

Speaker 1 (29:26):
I'm like, do you guys have internet?

Speaker 2 (29:27):
And the late yep, And then there's no problem, and
I said, so it's my WiFi. And I had to
do that thing where I said to Mom, you know,
show me the lights on the box, which ones are flashing,
and the WiLAN wasn't flashing the on the fiber on
the fiber which is integral the WILAND it stands for

(29:47):
wireless look at the split and nefarious information. That's right,
So the wireless lickty split and ne furious information wasn't flashing,
and I was like, there's a problem. So as I
had text my neighbor next door, who reveals to me
that he set up the wireless the fiber system in

(30:11):
my area, like he used to work for. Oh, if
anyone knows what's wrong with my internet, it's him. So
as he worked for Chorus.

Speaker 7 (30:21):
Yeah, I guess so at some point and down the line,
and he must have just loved drilling random holes and
walls and just running cable that play people's properties without
checking and then just like you know, slapping it where
it doesn't fit.

Speaker 3 (30:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (30:33):
Yeah, like this was this building built in the eighteen seventies. Yeah,
let me just drill them in the front of the
original weatherboard.

Speaker 1 (30:39):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (30:40):
Anyway, So he mess it to me back while I'm
trying to explain things to my mum, saying do you
want me to just pop over?

Speaker 4 (30:46):
I said, because I'm out, do you want me to
just pop over?

Speaker 2 (30:48):
I am the fiber network guy, and I said, Actually,
you know what, Kevin, that would probably be a good
idea because I've got two bridging on elderly parents and his.

Speaker 1 (30:56):
Name is Kevin. Kevin, so not Kevin, not Kevin, have
said Kevin rong.

Speaker 4 (31:01):
No, I'm not seeing Kevin Irish accent.

Speaker 1 (31:07):
C A V E r It's my neighbor, Kevin. What
an interesting name. What an interesting take on Kevin.

Speaker 4 (31:13):
It is an interesting take on keivin with a C
as well.

Speaker 2 (31:16):
Yeah, you say c A V e r n like Kevin. No,
c A v a r n is it Irish cavern?
Kevin is the Irish I'm not seeing Calvin. It's a
totally different name. Is Kevin, and it's Kevin. My neighbor
is Kevin. So Kevin, who knows the thing, was like,

(31:38):
I'll pop over and do this. So he's literally coming
down his driveway and then walking up next to mine.
When I get a missage from a mum, she says,
fixed her Patsy. The I T woman fixes her own wife.
II issue off the wall, done that. She'd already done
that upon my suggestion. No, she got a little pin.
She did a hard reset on the back of the thing.

Speaker 1 (32:01):
She waited like that in the back of anything for ye,
Petsy unprompted from me, or Cavin did a hard reset
on the back of the mode and got her own
internet working again, unheard of. She's sixty six this year.
That's unheard of, sixty six years old and that's a
pin based hard reset.

Speaker 2 (32:21):
I need to stop Cavin the x fiber, then cavern
the x fiber guy.

Speaker 1 (32:26):
I just say, don't worry about it. She's fixed it.

Speaker 2 (32:28):
I didn't even need to get the wife.

Speaker 1 (32:31):
And then and then he's like, she fixed that. Do
you reckon? She can fix this misspelling of my name
which is supposed to be killed. No, it's not giving
us completely different Caverny.

Speaker 4 (32:40):
I'm really proud of my mother for that.

Speaker 1 (32:42):
Yeah, hard research.

Speaker 2 (32:43):
I think it really empowered her. I think she's just
she feels invincible. You know, she can do anything in
this world, her.

Speaker 1 (32:49):
Around cavern until she needs to print something. Jesus. Yeah,
how do I hook it up to the Do I
have to plug it in? Or does it? Mom?

Speaker 4 (32:58):
There's no paper or where's the paper shop?

Speaker 1 (33:00):
Paper shop? You've done that all wrong. What size do
I need?

Speaker 2 (33:06):
Just a four? Which is that the big one? Like
a poster? We can't PrePost it. We want to print
a poster for what are.

Speaker 4 (33:13):
We printing anyway? Go Patsy, proud of you it queen.

Speaker 11 (33:17):
Then podcast Network plays dead Ends, flesh One and Hayley.

Speaker 1 (33:23):
Here to explain what's been called the Tim Pain phenomenon
by me just now, I haven't heard that. I love that,
Thank you very much. This is following the story of
a New Zealand football player. Tim Pain is a defender.
He went from four thousand social media followers on Instagram
to now over four million. How we don't know. So
we're joined by someone who does, Jason Pine. Good morning,

(33:45):
Good morning, guys, good morning. What happened? What the bloody
hell has happened? Anything about this?

Speaker 13 (33:51):
Yeah? Absolutely crazy. I mean I know there are people
all around New Zealand who would kill for four million followers. Look,
he had four thousand, as you say. And then an
urge time football influencer was looking at the World Cup
coming up and tried to find the player with the
smallest social media profile and he landed on Tim Payne
of New Zealand. Who has you say he had four

(34:12):
thousand followers?

Speaker 8 (34:13):
Did?

Speaker 13 (34:13):
Come on, guys, we've got to get him behind this guy,
we've got a booster his profile. Well he's gone, as
you say, like, I mean, it started off and it was
like there were a few hundred thousand, and that seemed amazing.
Four million. I mean he left the All Blacks and
his dust a long time ago. They've got two point nine.
He's closing in on Israel and the son who's sort
of eight million, Lord's got eleven million. So there's your

(34:36):
context for New Zealanders got four million and Tim Payin guys,
is one of the most unasshuman guys. It's no surprise
that he only had four and a half thousand to
begin with. Now he's a global start.

Speaker 1 (34:48):
The perfect person to pack someone like that that's just
low key on social media.

Speaker 13 (34:54):
Yeah yeah, I mean he's got I think he's got
about seven reels on.

Speaker 10 (35:00):
We're talking.

Speaker 13 (35:01):
We're talking a guy who really only posts because he
has to because he's a footballer and that sort of thing.
But now four million. I mean everything he's done in
his life has now got hundreds of thousands of likes
on on Instagram, and I think he's on the on Star.
I don't think he's on anything else.

Speaker 2 (35:16):
Just even I come sen give him a little follow
we'll get that four point one.

Speaker 1 (35:22):
I can't wait to see you play a goat like
Assex must be stoked. He's just the only thing in
his briers is at Assex in z athletes. So they
were probably giving him boots and free shoes and a
bit of coin maybe, And now the cause insane exposure.
That's the other thing. With four point one million followers,
you could make some serious money. Dude.

Speaker 13 (35:43):
Yeah, I guess, Yeah, that's I guess that's what the
decision he has to make now is what he does
with his new found you know, four million US. I mean,
at the moment, he just wants to play World Cup
football for New Zealand. And like I say, he's an
unassuming guy who you know, I've hear people say he
needs to fly content creator into.

Speaker 1 (36:01):
Years, get a bloody gin z or it may make
some make some Tim Pain meds.

Speaker 2 (36:08):
Yeah, he's got to cash it because that four million,
they'll start to drop off once they realize he's not
posting anything exciting.

Speaker 13 (36:15):
Come on, Tim, Yeah, I mean I feel I mean,
I know Tim Pain a little bit from this time
at the Phoenix here. And look, he's not the kind
of guy who will who will chase fame in this way.
It's happened around him. But what do you do, guys?
I mean you, guys will know four million followers. You
can monetize that, can't you? If you got somebody smarter.

Speaker 4 (36:34):
I've got sixty seven thousand.

Speaker 2 (36:36):
I mean, I'm miles off, but I'll do a sponsored
post for a Waiste trainer or something tea or something
like that.

Speaker 1 (36:42):
What forty odd thousand? And I ain't got a free
Samsung TV, so I can imagine he'd probably be able
to get a car with this. You've got to get
a plane. You pretty get a plane.

Speaker 13 (36:53):
I only claim. Only claim the fame, guys, is that
Tim Payne follows me.

Speaker 1 (36:56):
So that Why has he said anything about this? Is
he commented on it? Has he done in the interviews?

Speaker 14 (37:05):
Yeah?

Speaker 13 (37:06):
He did. He did one post. Getless guys. He did
one post because obviously blow up, so.

Speaker 2 (37:09):
We had to do something.

Speaker 13 (37:10):
So he came out and he did a post and
it started in Spanish because a lot of his newfound
followers up and you can see him. You can see
him reading the AUDIOQ after the side of his phone
as he was as he was doing good. And that
post alone has had twenty nine million views.

Speaker 1 (37:25):
Twenty million, that is insane. I loved us so much.
Oh I'm just looking at that post now, jewelingos and
on it so and like yeah, saying well done, get
some jeweling Spanish. Oh my god, this is brilliant. Let's go.

Speaker 2 (37:44):
Also, I just thought I just want to comment great
shoulders on him. Great, yes, yeah, wrapped guns and he
could do some content with that.

Speaker 1 (37:50):
Get your shirt off to him. It us around.

Speaker 13 (37:54):
Yeah, I bit is getting I mean, I can't imagine
that kind of greeping is getting from his teammates, you know. Yeah,
but they will all obviously love to love the followers,
but you know, he's I mean, yeah, everything that happens
to him at the moment that's been posted, it's just
getting hundreds of thousands, like yeah, it's incredible, incredible story.

Speaker 1 (38:12):
Love good Jason Sometimes. Thank you so much for the
explainer this morning. A new stalk'd be Weekend sports host
Jason Pine, thank you so much.

Speaker 11 (38:22):
The z M podcast Network play z MS fletch Fornon.

Speaker 1 (38:26):
Haley, Guys, we had wholesome weekends and our little f
VH chat were what are you guys up to? Flitcher
sitting photos of moving his stuff back into his renovated apartment. Yeah,
plants doing all like that sort of thing. Oh my god,
I've got so many plants. I can't wait until they
all die. And I'm just by new ones to replace them.

Speaker 4 (38:46):
I know that's just as you.

Speaker 1 (38:47):
Want to do. Begin the slow to client to it again.

Speaker 2 (38:51):
And you also went to the op shop that I
told you about, and you've got your nage little cocktail.

Speaker 1 (38:56):
Shaker thing, vintage shopping. So wholesome. Yes, also, And then
there I was juicing my limes because I refuse.

Speaker 2 (39:03):
I got a juicer, and I refuse a good juicer.
It's really good.

Speaker 1 (39:09):
You can borrow it. And but you I told you
not to bother Withether juicer. I got a juice. If
one buys a juicer and then you stop using it.
But you don't have the citrus grove that I've got.
I've got a real grove, an abundance of limes. So
I thought for you flich as well. I'm going to
fill the bottles with lime and then I'll bring them
to you. You can make your own cubes, So I'm making
lime cubes. Love that.

Speaker 2 (39:30):
And then I what was my other wholesome activity? Oh,
I'm going to making a fear regarden, but more on
that later. But also I can't wait to hear more
about I made a beef shin rago because Patsy left
some beef shins and the freezer, so we're sharing that.

Speaker 1 (39:43):
And then you were jarring your honeys. Yeah, I made
a occulent banana chocolate. Banana life was locked down all
over against succulent banana bream shelter id the honey, the
first batch of honey, and then turn your little further
thing you did made bees wax candles from where wax
we got from the bee and that's so fan some molds,

(40:07):
made some lovely candles. Very pleased with the candles. Made
a huge stew my sound for guns gonna shouldn't beef stew.
Made enough knowing that the next day it would be
the filling and a pie. And then there was a
latiste latino that would have been the perfect weekend, but
somewhat disrupting.

Speaker 2 (40:23):
The wholesome no latinos this weekend coming in latinos for
you this weekend.

Speaker 1 (40:29):
Take that as take that as a years one that's
actually wholesome. And they made a pie and then the
pie had lattiste top right, not Latino queen queen the pipe. Fine,
this is okay. We've started it with the balls rolling. Oh,
eight hundred dollars at nine sex, nine sacks? What was
your what was the wholesome aspect of your weekend? What

(40:51):
did you do? And we'll go, oh, that's nice. What
are people listening? Didn't have a wholesome when they just
get to sit and listen to other people's awesome activities? Right,
we could come.

Speaker 2 (41:02):
Back after next week and be like, what's.

Speaker 1 (41:04):
The most god awful thing.

Speaker 2 (41:08):
An activity you did over this weekend? But now wholesome focus?

Speaker 1 (41:11):
It was like cute, Yeah, the group chap I show you,
show you the round and mushroom candle. I love the round.
I tell you what of those? I spend a lot
of money on a green candle that's double the size
of that, and they've used exactly the same thing. So
I'm starting to think there's just someone out there making these,
making these out making these.

Speaker 2 (41:32):
Because we're making custom orders because I would like a
navy blue candle, so I've ordered that.

Speaker 1 (41:36):
Yeah, so I've worked out how to color. I'm not
using bees wax. I'm not coloring bees wax because you
don't color bees. Look that beautiful gold. No, my house
isn't a gold. No, no, no, no, no, no, it's for you.
It's very wholesome, very wholeome. Okay.

Speaker 4 (41:49):
Someone's most wholesome thing they did this week?

Speaker 1 (41:51):
It was marry the best friend. That's lovely. Do you
want to do the stat.

Speaker 2 (41:57):
Over fifty one percent of marriages all in theo divorced,
but not your first few years are nice?

Speaker 1 (42:03):
Someone dug Someone dug up and divided their dahlias. Oh
that's nice, wholesome. Okay. If you've got any speed daily tutors,
send them our way.

Speaker 4 (42:12):
Oh my god, the text machine floodeth with wholesome.

Speaker 1 (42:15):

Speaker 2 (42:52):
The nine Lives orphanage people, and they've brought kittens into
the studio.

Speaker 1 (42:55):
What kind of kittens? Is it? Just a mongrel?

Speaker 3 (43:00):
She was astray.

Speaker 12 (43:01):
She's super curate and fluffy, and she's got bad eye sight.

Speaker 1 (43:05):
Yeah, beautiful, she's got bad eyesight.

Speaker 4 (43:08):
Yet she walking into walls and stuff.

Speaker 15 (43:12):
Not quite that.

Speaker 12 (43:12):
Bad, thankfully, but it just means that she has to
stand side, which is good.

Speaker 1 (43:18):
You should take it out to Oprah. Sim I think
you get her much good from you, from you, Sorry,
am just one moment, one moment, would you guys spend
to some light fraud? Always into light frauds, sometimes heavy heavy,
because I was just thinking we could do tics of
the week even though Amber's a call, and then give

(43:40):
her an animates voucher because she then and we called
her back yea, so technically it's not it's not even
light fraud, Amber, we're going to hook you up, but
they fifty dollars animates voucher.

Speaker 3 (43:50):
Oh my god, thank you so much. Will be so pleased.

Speaker 1 (43:53):

for your new puppy or kidden like Amber, Well done, Amber.
Wait there, we'll sort that out, Rachel, what was your
wholesome weekend morning team, Good morning morning.

Speaker 16 (44:14):
So yesterday, it's a lovely Mamma duck and tin tiny
baby fluffy ducklings walked onto.

Speaker 1 (44:21):
My house.

Speaker 16 (44:25):
Super supernoviie. Mummy and I have two cats, a dog
and too many children and we live in the middle
of town.

Speaker 1 (44:34):
No, there's no water sorce anywhere near us, yep.

Speaker 16 (44:38):
So we spent a little bit catching Mamma duck and
a ducklings pot. Mamma duck in the cat cage filled
ducklings when in the pleasant box with a lid open,
and we drove them out to the river and Mamma
duck when she hit the water, little tail featers went.

Speaker 4 (44:54):
She was all excited that she made.

Speaker 16 (44:56):
The water, and she swam off down the river with
her babies.

Speaker 5 (44:59):
And so what.

Speaker 1 (45:04):
Is a cute that's so cute? So cute, And then
they grew up kind of brown and uncle, you know,
like puppies. Sometimes you're so cute. This is a bird.
The birds are the worst example of cute. When a
little gross Rachel, thank you A couple of messages so many.
I had a teddy beer picnic with my two year
old at the weekend. Cute somebody, I said. I worked

(45:25):
at a dog show and started charging the cute dogs
a puppy cuddle tax. I want to cuddle puppies, got
my sewing machine out and made my near few are
kitchen apron that's awsome, that's wholesome. Ah, somebody said, I
took my six year old girls, draft loving girls to
free the draft for the first time. Wholesome. They love

(45:48):
it long tingue. They do have a long time, long time.
I taught myself how to crochet. That's awesome. That's awesome.
I took my thirteen year olds into a cafe and
we played cards while we were there. No screens, Oh,
I love their whole I tied it up my ribbon drawer.

Speaker 2 (46:04):
But my first home as a single mom of two
after getting divorced ten years ago and having nothing wholesome.

Speaker 1 (46:10):
Nice congrats, I made cinnamon scrolls from scratch. I just
ate a cinnamon scroll at the weekend. I didn't make
it wholesome, wholesome, so you just ate it. I just
ate what that's good, that's good. I knit my daughter
a sweater, knit knitted, knit knit. I nut my daughter

(46:33):
at a jumper, slow cook venison shanks and then the
leftovers got turned into pie. There's something about that meat
when it's cooked the second time. There's something about the
second time.

Speaker 2 (46:41):
Someone said they went to Hobbit and then made a
goulash pie for dinner.

Speaker 1 (46:44):
Alash hob And then my big dream day ever. Ah,
somebody said, secured the wedding dress at the weekend. Nice
the wedding dress. Took my daughter and her friend roller
skating on Friday night. Mum still got it.

Speaker 2 (47:02):
Oh, I said, the most wholesome weekend activity. It doesn't
feel real and it was a bit of painful, but
I had my first They wrote, are you I intravenous
fertility fertility treatment on the weekend to hopefully have my
tream baby.

Speaker 1 (47:19):
My sister and will bake the far no some Riwana
bread from a great grandmother's starter. It was delicious and
very wholesome. Yeah, very wholesome. Somebody said, oh, I had
a close up look at my toilet bowl. Now, no,
you don't want to look close up, but don't look
close I think they were having a chuney into it.
Oh okay, Yes, a lot.

Speaker 2 (47:40):
Of people are eating it with their kids, which is
really cute.

Speaker 1 (47:44):
Somenicked chiefs for all my friends, dogs, guysnicke chiefs. As
you know, I watched my mother in law slip over
and heard herself landing on the driveway, and I laughed
and then but then by the time I got outside,
I'd stopped laughing.

Speaker 11 (47:57):
Wholesome us needwork plays that ends Flesh, Fawn and Haley.

Speaker 2 (48:04):
Now on Sunday night, long weekend, I thought, you know,
you can do things on a Sunday night when you
don't have work on a Monday. So I opted for
a late movie with a man friend.

Speaker 1 (48:14):
And yes, going to the movies, a lot of movies
so much, Hey, I love it.

Speaker 4 (48:21):
We went and saw Obsession.

Speaker 2 (48:22):
It's like the It's just hit a whole bunch of
bloody records. Obsession movie records. It's a horror film about
a wish. There's two on the back rooms and Obsession
talking about.

Speaker 1 (48:36):
Rooms but teenagers told me about but no interesting you
horrors don't scar me.

Speaker 14 (48:41):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (48:42):
This film follows Beer played by Michael Johnson, a music
to my employee who buys a supernatural toy that grants
him his wished for his friend Nicky to fall in
love with him, resulting in horrifying consequences.

Speaker 2 (48:51):
Yeah, so it's gross like twenty six point four million
over the weekend. Oh no, sorry, across the one hundred
million dollar mark domestically in America. And they're just like cool,
fresh new takes on horrors basically. Anyway, So we went
to see Obsession, which is like a trendy new horror.

(49:14):
So I didn't really know what kind of audience was
going to be there at nine pm on Sunday night,
and I get there and I was like, we' are
your parents?

Speaker 1 (49:24):
Does this rating? Ah? Eighteen? Maybe it's pretty gruesome, it's
pretty gross, right, What were they doing there? Then?

Speaker 2 (49:34):
I think they were over eighteens sixteen in New Zealand
and a fifteen in Australia for violence horror and six great.

Speaker 1 (49:41):
Well there you go.

Speaker 4 (49:42):
So I turn up there and it's this.

Speaker 1 (49:46):
Movie has ninety six percent on Roden Tomatoes, which is
ten on AMDB, So that's really good.

Speaker 2 (49:53):
Yeah, I mean I think the movie was good. It
was hard to tell because it was the most horrendous
cinematic experience I've ever had.

Speaker 4 (49:58):
In my entire life thanks to gin Alfer and gen Z.

Speaker 2 (50:02):
So there they are, all these young eies and they
turn out one Where's the Where's the Pride? Like, we're
just all there in our pajamas, in our trap pants,
and I was like, cool, awesome, I love that for
you guys.

Speaker 1 (50:11):
Anyway, So we get there and you're.

Speaker 2 (50:13):
In a dinner and icm for formal attire for them,
formal with a blazer. Yeah, you're formal with a blazer.
My man friend's in a shirt and a dress pant.
Of course we're casual, but like, do you know what
I mean, it's clothing. I'm wearing clothes, not pajamas. It's fine,
you wear what you want that you wear what you want.
That's every gray hoodie.

Speaker 1 (50:30):
It's like like the movie was responsibly bloody white Fox. Anyway,
So we turn on.

Speaker 2 (50:36):
And I've we've chosen mid mid seats, and when I
booked the tickets, I was like, god's busy. I hate
a busy cinema, but you know it's good for the industry.

Speaker 1 (50:43):
So we get there.

Speaker 2 (50:44):
Mid mid seats and then we're just like swap like
surrounded by them, these gen zs with their like slouchy
outfits on.

Speaker 4 (50:55):
They get there.

Speaker 2 (50:56):
And the trailers are going, and I was like, boy, boy, man,
we've got some snacks in here, don't we, kids, We've
got snacks, noisy snacks. I don't know what it was,
I I could. I was losing my ship, like I
was like crawling out of my skin at the amount
of like rustling from these children. And and it wasn't

(51:21):
just like Russell Russell, okay, now the movie started, will
be quiet.

Speaker 1 (51:24):
It was just hand and bag pause, hand and bag, pause,
hand and bag the whole time. No no, no, no, no, no,
no no.

Speaker 2 (51:33):
This was the most genzy lack of care awareness I've
ever experience. I was crawling out of my skin. Then
I had to start doing little shooting looks.

Speaker 1 (51:44):
Like grit, Oh my god, graduated.

Speaker 2 (51:50):
And you can see my man friend looking at me
being like, please don't make a saying like I'm starting
to go, oh my god. It was so bad that
at one point I just thowt I couldn't the movies started.

Speaker 1 (52:00):
The whole time, the.

Speaker 2 (52:02):
Girls just popcorn bags that they brought themselves. By the way,
it's not popcorn, it in a bucket that doesn't rustle
because that's where you buy it from.

Speaker 1 (52:09):
The thing is it's in a bucket.

Speaker 2 (52:10):
But no, they're in these little, you know, plastic things
that they've got, and they're going the whole time.

Speaker 1 (52:14):
There was at one point I thought I'm going to leave,
so I whispered to my man friend. I said I'm
going to leave, and he was like, don't be so
don't leave.

Speaker 2 (52:21):
You just need to tune it out. And I was like,
you're basically telling me to calm down. So I'll just
watch that. I'll just cop that in the logs. If
you're taking notes and what.

Speaker 1 (52:28):
Not, just say, what are we pre minstraw? No, not
at all. I'm in my happy you're happy because it
was giving. Calendar wise, we're off. So it was annoying
me so much.

Speaker 2 (52:39):
I say I'm going to leave. He's like, please don't. Please,
don't make the same just you know, try to focus
on the movie. Try to focus on the movie and
the age.

Speaker 1 (52:46):
I feel like you're ruining the movie for yourself.

Speaker 4 (52:48):
I am, I am, and I know I'm doing it.
And the whole time.

Speaker 2 (52:51):
I'm looking around like that, and then I go, I
just can't do it. So I look into my handbag
and I'm looking for my headphones because I was like, well,
I'll just sit here and I'll just listen to some music.
It was was irritated beyond like I could not a
great movie apparently, but I hated every second of it.

(53:11):
I'm almost done with going to the cinema. If they're
going to be there, to be there, I think we
should have generational screenings that, like the boomers can go
in with their iPads and their phones and stuff. The
millennials we can go in and just be silent because
we're overstimulated.

Speaker 1 (53:31):
We're all tizzy, you know, like the noises getting under
our skin. We've got our screenings.

Speaker 2 (53:35):
They can sit there in their pajamas with their rustly
bags excluded.

Speaker 1 (53:38):
They don't care about the piece and quiet of a cinema.
Oh my god, I got it. I think I'm done
with the movie, get right, Yeah, I think you just
need to maybe watch it home where you can just
irritate yourself.

Speaker 2 (53:49):
I'm worked up already. I do apologize to my man friend.
I reckon I ruined it for myself and for him.

Speaker 1 (53:56):
You know what I mean?

Speaker 2 (53:58):
What was noisier my heavy size, or the rustle of
the popcorn bags, the that.

Speaker 1 (54:05):
M podcast network.

Speaker 11 (54:08):
Plays MS flesh Worn and Haley.

Speaker 1 (54:12):
Somebody said they went to the cinema on Friday night
and some stupid gen z behind them was kicking the
seat the whole time. It was so intensely overstimulated. Yeah, yeah, yeah, okay,
just let it go, Haley, let it go. We've all
got to live together and watch movies to get we do.
We've going to co exist. There's a new dating app
and it's specifically targeting rural singles. Howdy is a dedicated

(54:35):
dating app specifically built for people in rural, regional and
agricultural sectors. Originally started in Australia, but yes it's in
New Zealand. Now. I saw the New Zealand farming accounts
that are follow on the social media's and the young
farmers ride farmers, so it's like farmer wants to But
on the app, it focuses on beating the isolation of

(54:56):
remote living by eliminating narrow distance limits and allowing use
this to scroll through full profiles rather than quick swiping,
So you scroll, you don't swipe. You can view profiles
to see if you share country values before making a decision.
Oh yeah, like it's going to rain in two days.
Are you gonna put nitrogen John? Or are you going
to do a lime dusting?

Speaker 8 (55:17):
That's what.

Speaker 1 (55:19):
I'm son. It's not for you guys. You know what.

Speaker 4 (55:23):
I'm getting turned on a rural man.

Speaker 1 (55:26):
But I'm not going to live with you, do you
know what I mean? Like, I like the idea. You're
not going to move to the middle of nowhere. You
can come with me in the city. I think that's
the idea. It's going to be a fish out of
water in that city. Books off at the door of
that kind of search. Yeah, bring me. It's officially launched
in New Zealand. You can now access and enjoy the
app in New Zealand according to their latest update. And

(55:47):
the little logo, because that's very important, isn't it for
a nap? We love the logo. It's a it's a
brown square with the outline of a cowboy hat on it.
Oh you know, se.

Speaker 2 (55:57):
Be're leaning into the trope of cowboy smart box because
the whole subgenre is like working on the farm and
I go up to work on the farm. It's my uncle,
but not through blood.

Speaker 1 (56:11):
Really.

Speaker 2 (56:11):
There's a snowstorm and I get stuck on the hill
at the farm and my uncle through blood. There's not
a blood relative because there's no electricity, and so we
keep each on the warm because he's my uncle.

Speaker 1 (56:22):
But not through me. But would that be open to
people that live in the city but want a farmer boyfriends.

Speaker 4 (56:29):
I don't know city city bitches allowed on there.

Speaker 1 (56:33):
I don't know if city bitches are allowed.

Speaker 4 (56:34):
On there to sort of upload a photo of you so.

Speaker 1 (56:37):
You can be you can just work in an industry
that sees you. Maybe if you're a real small town
but you work in the town, but it's a lot
of farm folk, you can do that.

Speaker 8 (56:48):
You know.

Speaker 1 (56:48):
Massive it can be like one small town you have
to drive like eight hours to get your groceries. Yeah,
I'm not living out there. I don't care how maybe
how it is not for you, if you're still not
going to make it a sweatchhut, it could be for you.

Speaker 2 (57:01):
If you saw that at the documentary what was it?
Should I marry this murderer or whatever the name was,
that sort of puts you off the idea of a
sort of handsome rural man because she was driving out
to the you know, the Scottish highlands of this rural man.
But then Nick Munner, Oh a murderer, you know, and
careful because a lot happens out there in the choir.

Speaker 1 (57:23):
And interestingly enough, he didn't put that on his profile. Crazy.

Speaker 4 (57:26):
That's one of the most interesting things about you.

Speaker 1 (57:28):
Oh really, that's crazy. Man should have to do that.

Speaker 11 (57:33):
M podcast Network, lay Z MS flesh Worn and Haley.

Speaker 2 (57:39):
Fact of the Day, day day day, day, do.

Speaker 1 (57:50):
Doo doo. It's a Lord of the Rings work here
at fact. I don't even know why. I was going
to say why it was really hold to the Lord
of the Rings instead of thinking about how probably due
for a full rewatch of the original trilogy totally extended edition. Fletch,
you haven't seen them? Have you seen one? I think?

(58:11):
Can you put up my fighter please? We haven't some
Lord of the Rings background stunning, lovely, stunning. Well, I
want to tell you that, aside from the animated Lord
of the Rings movie that came out in like the
late seventies early eighties, there was a previous attempt to
make the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Oh really by

(58:31):
a very famous band, the Beatles, tried to make a
Lord of the Rings movie. They've pitched to make a
live action Lord of the Rings at the height of
their fame. We Love the Little Elves. That was pretty good,
Thank you. That was pretty good, And they wanted a
legendary Hollywood director, Stanley Kubrick to make it. Ah. Kubrick said, Nah,

(58:53):
Lord of the Rings is unfilmable. It's far too much
book to be crammed into movies. True, it has a
lot of book. Yeah, big Vicki's big box. And also
back then there wouldn't have been a lot of the
special effects that made it possible, not at all. So
weird that the full circle of it was Peter Jackson
ended up making Lord of the Rings, and then Peter
Jackson also ended up making that massive documentary about the Beatles. Yeah,

(59:18):
because he was such a fan of the Beatles. You
might be thinking, who were they going to be. Here's
what Here's how they thought it was going to stack up.
John Lennon was going to be golle Wait. They were
going to be in it. Yeah, just like funding it.
They wanted to be in it. Paul McCartney was going
to be Phroto Baggins. I'm friedel I've got the ring,

(59:40):
isn't that John Lennon ma precious? Oh yeah, precious, George
Harrison is going to began Off and Ringo the Drummer
was going to be Sam Wise Gamgee. So then they
started looking for more directors and Tolkien, who was still
alive at the time, are j r r r r R,

(01:00:01):
I think I think this five j R r r
r R. Tolkien. He killed it. He was like, you're
absolutely not making it. Apparently wasn't a huge fan of
the Beatles. Please you're telling me four guys with those haircuts,
because you know he would have said those haircuts because
he was and he knew that they were prolific drug takers.

(01:00:21):
He's like, you're not making my movie on drugs. You're
not making my box into a drugs and so he
squashed it right then and there. So today's fact to
the day is, before Sir Peter Jackson made them into
the legendary trilogy that they are, the Beatles wanted to
make the Lord of the Rings movies. In fact of
the day, day day day day.

Speaker 8 (01:00:45):
Do do.

Speaker 11 (01:00:55):
Need work plays it ms fletch, porn and Haley do
a lip.

Speaker 2 (01:00:59):
Got reed over the weekend intimate wedding ceremony looked like
a little courthouse type.

Speaker 1 (01:01:04):
Sir the church a church was a church, but I think,
as you said, it was quite a small crowd, So
I think that she's she wore.

Speaker 2 (01:01:11):
She wore an outfit very similar to what Patsy wore
when she married My dad. Really, my mum wore a
power blazer with a little skirt and a hat.

Speaker 1 (01:01:20):
That's what wore, very royal. It had big cape Middleton.

Speaker 2 (01:01:26):
Yes, but I want to know, now, did you marry
someone and get either a better or worse name? Because
do a Leaper has married Callum Turner. Now she's doing
a turner.

Speaker 1 (01:01:38):
Changed it.

Speaker 2 (01:01:39):
I think she just kept I think professionally she'll do
the leaper. But do a Turner. Oh, I love your outfit.
Do a Turner.

Speaker 1 (01:01:50):
It's worse for sure. Do a leapers. That's a beautiful name.
You know, when someone says to me jump, I don't.
I don't say when I say, do you a leaper? Yeah?
Do a jump or do a leaper?

Speaker 7 (01:02:01):
Which one?

Speaker 1 (01:02:01):
Do you high? Yeahah? Or no? Do a turner. But
maybe you got married, maybe.

Speaker 2 (01:02:06):
You had a bit of a shame last name.

Speaker 1 (01:02:09):
And we'll take calls as well in texts of people
you know you had a better or worse last name
because maybe they won't want to admit it.

Speaker 4 (01:02:17):
Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 2 (01:02:18):
So yeah, maybe you had a crap last name and
you got married and it got made better, or maybe
had a good name, but you had to marry someone
with you.

Speaker 1 (01:02:24):
Know, Oh my god, is here anyone listening that married
someone with the last name as well? You didn't even
have to last name. Yeah, same last name, Like you
marry a smith. That'd be great. You're a smith and
you marry a smith. Yes see, like, actually I kept
most I kept my last name. I kept my last name.

Speaker 8 (01:02:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:02:39):
Yeah, the paper this paperwork change was just too much
bonus if you did marry someone with the same last name,
but eight hundred dollars at someone said.

Speaker 4 (01:02:48):
Does a lip whose stage name?

Speaker 1 (01:02:50):
No, no, no, it's not. Yeah, we googled that it's it's
their actual name. Different countries have different sounding names. Who knew.
Somebody messaged and my sister in law went from the
surname Rabbits to Burrows.

Speaker 2 (01:03:01):
Oh wow, that's fun. Let's keep I'd keep hyphenate Rabbits
or Burrow's Rabbits.

Speaker 1 (01:03:09):
My mum's name went from cat webs that a cat's skinner,
So now it sounds like she skins cats.

Speaker 4 (01:03:15):
Oh my's last name was Clists.

Speaker 1 (01:03:17):
Clisted. Now that's one awkward slipper. It is okay, well,
this is what we want to know. Eight hundred. Dance
at him as our number. Call us take through nine
six nine six.

Speaker 4 (01:03:29):

worse name?

Speaker 12 (01:03:32):

Her name is Philippa, but she took the last name
Phillipson and became Philip Phillipson's.

Speaker 1 (01:04:47):
So I loved that.

Speaker 5 (01:04:49):
Philip Phillips is definitely better than Philippa Crack, which was
legitimately her name before she was up Cracker.

Speaker 2 (01:04:57):
I know of Philip phil McCracken, a genuine one as well.

Speaker 5 (01:05:02):

as a root word instead.

Speaker 1 (01:05:46):
Really, what was you before you got married?

Speaker 2 (01:05:49):

It's a German and very challenging just fell and I
married a Smith, so a definite upgrade.

Speaker 12 (01:06:23):
Lia Schmitt, Yeah, Liah Smith.

Speaker 15 (01:06:27):
But what was hilarious was I met my husband in
New Zealand, but we were part of the same friendship group.
And the day that I met my husband, I was
lamenting about my surname and a friend of mine said, ah,
you should.

Speaker 3 (01:06:38):
You should marry Mike.

Speaker 5 (01:06:39):
He's he's got a really easy surname.

Speaker 12 (01:06:42):

like Lord Farkhard, but Farkha.

Speaker 1 (01:08:39):
I member an Olympian farka. Yeah, so I've heard of
that night you u h JR. It feels good to
say it. Yeah, because I'm not in trouble, mister. I
know a girl called Kayla and she married someone with
the last name Naylis, and I'd love to be like

(01:09:02):
a Hailey Bailey or I upgraded from wild Boar. That's
a cool last name, wild Boar, Vaughan, wild Boar, w
y l d b o r E Bar as a
drill wild Boar to McQueen. Oh yeah, Like, my maiden
name is Rachel Ryan. My new married name is Rachel Galla.

(01:09:24):
For all your friends you know, if you know, you know,
my last name changed from Cocking to O'Reilly, which is good.
But my aunt he went from Cocking to Hall.

Speaker 2 (01:09:34):
Oh yeah, I went to school with a whore. Surname
is the same about you.

Speaker 11 (01:09:45):
The z N podcast networks Sure play ends flesh Fore
and Haley.

Speaker 4 (01:09:50):
We do this quite often, Fletch, particularly you and I Is.

Speaker 2 (01:09:53):
We'll be out somewhere with friends, maybe a couple of drinks,
and then we'll hear news this band's coming to town,
and we'll quickly up around and.

Speaker 1 (01:10:00):
Go great, let's nab some tickets.

Speaker 2 (01:10:02):
Right all the time, and then within a couple of
weeks it's all settled and paid for.

Speaker 1 (01:10:07):
Everyone who said yes, yes pays up normally Daddy Mike
with his big credit can't.

Speaker 2 (01:10:12):
With credit card or a group Yeah yeah, yeah, and
we'll do that and it's all sort of nice and easy,
and then the concert comes around and we just sought.

Speaker 1 (01:10:19):
It and we're normally by that time a year later, like,
who's got the tickets? Tickets?

Speaker 4 (01:10:24):
Do we say yes to a Wednesday night?

Speaker 1 (01:10:27):
Madness? I've heard this multiple times. This wasn't worth a Tuesday? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:10:31):
Yeah, Well tonight I'm going to go.

Speaker 2 (01:10:34):
I'm going out to a concert with a to a
band called Get Down Services. They're kind of like an
indie like from Bristol, British indie band. I never heard
of them, so Die Henwood put me onto them right
and they've got They've just they're really fun, they're really funky.
The Red Call we listened to them a lot, and
the tour last year, the Seven Days Live tour, which
was October November right a while back. So we're on

(01:10:57):
this tour, we're listening to them NonStop, and then I
just casually mentions He's like they're coming to New.

Speaker 1 (01:11:02):
Zealand next year. We should all go.

Speaker 4 (01:11:05):
He's got tickets already, so.

Speaker 1 (01:11:07):
Me and Justin Smith and Jeremy Corbett and Paul Ego
were all a hell yeah, because we're at a pub. Right,
we're at a pub.

Speaker 2 (01:11:15):
So I calculate between us there's seven and I just
get on there with mummy's credit card and I buy
seven tickets to see them tonight.

Speaker 1 (01:11:22):
Wait did they do the last year? Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, Okay,
we made a little less right.

Speaker 2 (01:11:28):
This is October November last year that shows tonight and
we haven't really spoken about it since. And I realized
in the kerfuffle of it all, we didn't settle the bill.

Speaker 1 (01:11:38):
I've just covered it.

Speaker 2 (01:11:40):
They weren't super expensive, but like right, and this is
a group of people that can pay me back. So
I get in the group chat at the end of
last week and I was like, hey, guys, it's next week,
get down services at.

Speaker 1 (01:11:52):
Wennie Bart's ready to get down. He just ready to
get down on.

Speaker 4 (01:11:54):
Some services here.

Speaker 2 (01:11:56):
And then I get a message from Paul Leago saying,
you know, oh, actually craw can't make it. It's my
son's twenty first birthday. Happy birthdayaac right, wow, Son's twenty
first birthday. And I was like, I pulled down for two.

Speaker 1 (01:12:07):
So that's okay, that's that's happening there.

Speaker 4 (01:12:10):
What do we rock and per tack? Sixty six dollars.

Speaker 1 (01:12:14):
Not that expensive. That's expensive I've.

Speaker 2 (01:12:17):
Been compared to, like seeing a huge international ad. You
know you're paid hundreds.

Speaker 1 (01:12:21):
Yeah, yeah, so that's two and then I'm pretty sure
one hundred and forty so far.

Speaker 4 (01:12:27):
I'm pretty sure.

Speaker 2 (01:12:28):
In the moment, beloved comedian Josh Thompson said, yes, okay,
silent in the chat and Tom keeping a low profile.

Speaker 1 (01:12:37):
That's three. There's me.

Speaker 2 (01:12:39):
I've got mine and I've paid myself back. Justine Smith's coming,
so that's five. Two unaccounted for now, Paul, Paul like,
there's four tickets that.

Speaker 4 (01:12:51):
Aren't being used here. Now here's my issue.

Speaker 1 (01:12:54):
You said this in the moment, who's paying for these
goddamn tickets? Paid you back, but now they're not coming.

Speaker 2 (01:13:00):
I'm like, give me a text nine sex nine sex
on the text machine. If you're listening now, they owe money, eh.

Speaker 1 (01:13:06):
If they agreed to go. This is no this is
on you for at the time. As soon as you
book tickets. Have you ever in this situation you message
out immediately. Here's my bank account. This is what it costs.

Speaker 2 (01:13:18):
Josh Thompson just messaged the group. Sorry, hailes, I've got
a thing.

Speaker 1 (01:13:23):
Have a blast. Oh have a blast, mate, six bucks
when you pay me back the money, pollygo, you owe
hundred and forty bucks. I've just got all these tickets
now and no one's paying for them. Nine six nine sex.
They owe me the money, right.

Speaker 17 (01:13:40):
They agree to you in the time, but it's on
your time. I should have got it at the time
I purchased them. Here's the bank account details. Pop that
and we'll see you at the get funky.

Speaker 1 (01:13:51):
And then it's and then it's on them to sort
the ticket if they can't make it, because I'm that's
eight months ago, and I know that. It's sort of like,
oh no, I'm not really in the mode, but said
you were poor.

Speaker 2 (01:14:01):
Yeah, yeah, anyway, So I'll be having fun at a
concert tonight and I'm going to if they don't pay,
I'm going to take up all the space of four
you know.

Speaker 1 (01:14:10):
What I mean?

Speaker 2 (01:14:11):
Oh good idea tonight, I just want to I'll take
up all that space paid for the Room.

Speaker 11 (01:14:17):
The z M Podcast Network play z m's Flesh one
and Hayley.

Speaker 1 (01:14:23):
What happened? What went wrong? When you were the pit sitter?
You were trusted with someone else's animal. Worst nightmare situation.
So a woman's gone viral. Her video has gone viral
over the weekend. Her name is Anna Gray. She posted
a viral claiming that her pet sitter that she left
in charge of her twelve year old cat fleaar oh

(01:14:43):
while she was away yeap blear the cat, the cat,
she accidentally let the cat out and clear bleared died,
blear did? Bleared did? Bleared did? How bled did?

Speaker 3 (01:14:57):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (01:14:57):
It doesn't she doesn't go this. It doesn't go to say,
but yeah, maybe because it's too gruesome. But maybe you can't.

Speaker 2 (01:15:03):
Yeah maybe so blear inside cap blear outside blooded.

Speaker 1 (01:15:07):
Yes, And of course she was quite emotional in the
video and it went viral, even and even causing people
to try to hunt down where this pet sitter like
was on an app and calling out this app which
apparently wasn't the app where she had hired the house
that are from. So people being reminded calm down and

(01:15:29):
stop kind of abusing it. Yeah, yeah, abusing randomnes. That's
the rest when you look after people's pets when you're away.
And I wouldn't be like upset, like I mean, and
you'd be sad if my cat died, but I wouldn't
be angry at the person that was pet sitting or
house sitting because they just didn't be murderers. You you
have one job, you know.

Speaker 2 (01:15:49):
So my marching coach, she had like coy fish, like
a coy pond situation. And we were overseas and one
of our teammates boyfriends.

Speaker 1 (01:15:58):
Was like, oh, after the fish.

Speaker 2 (01:16:01):
And one night he accidentally hit a switch and the
fish in the pond drained.

Speaker 4 (01:16:08):
So there were just these dead corey everywhere.

Speaker 1 (01:16:11):
Like filling it back up the next day. No, they
were dry dehydrate, but then they get weirdy. No no, no, no,
did all of them, a lot of them. I replaced
them with other coins. I think that's something.

Speaker 12 (01:16:25):
You know.

Speaker 2 (01:16:26):
She was rather attached to these fish. She knew the
market and they pissed always.

Speaker 1 (01:16:30):
Yes, they are always amazes me when you go to
a mall and this quick carpenter.

Speaker 2 (01:16:34):
Well, they were like big gold fish pond they were doing.

Speaker 1 (01:16:39):
So I went one hundred dollars in him nine six
nine secs. What went wrong when you were pet sitting?
We asked on Instagram and we got some responses. I
got home from work and the big dog had been
stuck in the stairwell all day and made a hell
of a mess. I cried. I felt so bad about
I left the house for two hours and the dogs
ate three blocks of Whitkers chocolate. I didn't even I

(01:17:00):
could eat three blocks until hours. Yeah, I reckon this guy,
laborad or energy. We were looking after the neighbor's hamster.
It was in a cage on the sideboard, and now
dog was excited to see it. Knocked it off. Did
did they? Are they the ones that die when you
give them a shock? Like yeah? And it's like yeah, Jesse.
Here the cats iris detached and the whole eye went black.

(01:17:22):
He was an old worman was knocking on death. Dwort didn't. Yeah.
The two dogs attacked the dog that I was dogs andting.
It broke its rib stitches. A very messy situation. Oh god,
sounds expensive. The dog ripped up all the owners used
pads and dragged them around the house. What yeah, I'd
just put in those some of the dog couldn't get

(01:17:45):
give them in the wheel. They might have been begged
and disgusted. Yeah, I forgot to feed them and they
died the next day. I don't know. We don't know
what kind of animal that is. Actually they're from KM.
If you could let us know, well, surely it must
be something that needs to be a hummingbird, perhaps needs
to eat. What dies so quickly there week, Yeah, that

(01:18:08):
they can't be fed. They're diying The next.

Speaker 2 (01:18:09):
Day A message in saying I say fish, silly fish.
They say, do you know that you say fish like fish.

Speaker 1 (01:18:18):
Fish fish fish fish fish?

Speaker 8 (01:18:21):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (01:18:21):
I do hit this a bit long?

Speaker 1 (01:18:23):
Is that what you make? Yeah? But you're telling them
to be quiet, be quiet fish. I was looking after
a Swiss shepherd. No, I believe that the white version
of a German shepherd.

Speaker 4 (01:18:32):
Oh I believe that's Rachel Wow.

Speaker 1 (01:18:36):
Okay, Rachel Swiss shepherd on the phone. What happened?

Speaker 14 (01:18:41):
Ahi, guys? So I actually was a professional house fitter.

Speaker 1 (01:18:47):
In Wellington.

Speaker 14 (01:18:48):
There's a sort of agency called pet Angels. Oh okay,
so I was booked to yeah, look after the Swish
Swiss shepherd, which is like before white dog and I
left the house and then came back like I don't know,
maybe like an hour or so later, and like I
walked inside and it was just like stuff everywhere, Like

(01:19:11):
he was just like cardboard box like everywhere. There was
polystyring everywhere like boards and everything. I was just like,
is this house being broken into? I was like, oh
my god, like just thinking the worst. This dog's just
sitting on the couch just like just like quite proud
of itself around me. And it was this brand new

(01:19:35):
Xbox and I was just like, oh my gosh, like
even through like all the cords like everything, and I
just like I don't know what to do. So I
just like took a picture sent it to the owner
and she's just like, oh my god, She's just like
this this Xbox is my son's birthday present, like hadn't

(01:19:58):
even been used.

Speaker 13 (01:19:59):
It was literally.

Speaker 14 (01:20:00):
Get out of the box. And I am, yeah, I
didn't get called back to look after this job.

Speaker 6 (01:20:08):
Yeah, it's not your fault though, Next Box, I know,
I know assurance, right.

Speaker 1 (01:20:14):
You think so? You think so then eat less and
I mean it's a great und boxing that would have
been box. They might destroy the box, not the not
the pros. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, so you didn't
get any more work from them, Rachel.

Speaker 14 (01:20:28):
No, yeah, I'm quite happy.

Speaker 1 (01:20:33):
Yeah, you don't need that stress, Rachel. Thank you, Natasha.
What went wrong with the pet sitting?

Speaker 3 (01:20:39):
Oh my gosh, hi him. So just a little story
from many, many years ago. My sister loved them suddenly
then went to her partner partner, so she said, oh,
we want to go to Bali for a holiday. Can
you come and look after a bird? And I said, yeah, yeah, sure,
you know I love birds. Yeah, So I went over

(01:21:01):
there and she gave me insurrections and she says, if
the birds out, do not go on the balcony because
it might fly away. And I was like, yeah, sure,
you know, she will be fine, you know. So like
one night, I'm like, I'm just gonna go quickly on
the balcony and just you know, get some pressure. Are

(01:21:23):
the bird is outside on the cage, but the cage
is near the balcony door, so as soon as it
opens the doors, the bird flew away.

Speaker 1 (01:21:30):
Almost like she'd sort of told you it might do, yes.

Speaker 5 (01:21:35):
Yes, oh my god.

Speaker 3 (01:21:37):
And I was like, ship and I couldn't see it.
I'm sorry, I just will obviously it has wings and
it flies.

Speaker 15 (01:21:47):
Very very far and like I think like on the
seventh floor or something at the time, and I just
lost it, like I was watching it, but then I
just lost it and I didn't know where it am
dead or anything, you know.

Speaker 3 (01:22:01):
I was like, okay, I'm going to go outside because
the bird can fly, but not that well, you know,
I went outside to look for it. I'm calling it out,
I'm looking everywhere, and I couldn't see it.

Speaker 1 (01:22:14):
What are you just yelling up and trees, Natasha?

Speaker 3 (01:22:19):
Very much? Pretty much. Yeah, I was the mad woman
like on the road, like walking it out looking for
a bird. Like it looked like a crazy old woman there.
And so good, I'm fine. And I went back home
and I was panicking and crying. So I was like,
I have to call my sister and tell her, you know.
So I send her takes message and then she called

(01:22:41):
me and she's like, I told you not joint put
the door and she's crying on the phone and cry, yeah,
tells me.

Speaker 16 (01:22:49):
I know.

Speaker 3 (01:22:49):
She didn't tell me.

Speaker 1 (01:22:50):
I didn't listen.

Speaker 9 (01:22:51):
Did I.

Speaker 1 (01:22:53):
Tell me you went upstairs and the bird was just home?

Speaker 13 (01:22:57):
No?

Speaker 15 (01:22:58):
No, So then she said, okay, well you're going to have.

Speaker 3 (01:23:01):
To start calling some bits around, you know, and I
was going to do well, I don't know. She thought
maybe somebody found it and took it to her bit,
you know, like, I know, tell me about it. There's
a lot of birds, and said, it's a lot of a.

Speaker 1 (01:23:20):
Lot of a lot of birds in the sky most
times when you look at so it was gone, Natasha,
it was you lost her, dude, I.

Speaker 3 (01:23:29):
Lost the bird. And I have never ever felt so
guilty in my life und.

Speaker 1 (01:23:35):
Changing up thing. From the bird's perspective, its probably living
a lovely life in the world.

Speaker 3 (01:23:39):
Now, well, no I found it.

Speaker 1 (01:23:43):
I just see where did you find it?

Speaker 5 (01:23:47):
So, okay, listen to this.

Speaker 3 (01:23:50):
So I was.

Speaker 1 (01:23:53):
This is giving Damien with the mirror vines. I love this.
I love carry on, carry on.

Speaker 3 (01:24:00):
So I was calling some bets around and my sister said, okay,
well the kids are the car. Ki's like, I've never
driven in Sydney before and I don't know the roads.
And this is back in the days.

Speaker 1 (01:24:10):
Where did yeah, where was the car parked?

Speaker 3 (01:24:14):
So the carp yes. So anyway, so I took the
car and I'm driving around looking for bets, calling some
bets around. There's no GPS. I have to, like, you know,
study the map because I don't know what Sydney looks like,
you know, not especially at night anyway, one bits.

Speaker 1 (01:24:36):
At night you've got maps, you look.

Speaker 3 (01:24:39):
Yeah, I'm the crazy lady in the night looking for
a bloody bird. So one of that answered, and this
is like a twenty four hour bet, and I explained,
you know, I've lost the bird and it's clean color,
and it's this and that, and I don't I didn't
even know what dread it was or knew that it

(01:25:01):
was green.

Speaker 17 (01:25:03):
And they said.

Speaker 3 (01:25:08):
Oh, yes, we do have one. Somebody just brought it
in like a half an hour ago, and that was
like my heart, that's why sing. And I was like, okay,
give me the address. You know, I'm going to come
as you and yeah. So when I got there, it
was my sister's bird.

Speaker 15 (01:25:23):
So somebody found it.

Speaker 3 (01:25:25):
On the side of the road and the bird was
a bit injured.

Speaker 5 (01:25:29):
So took it to the vet and.

Speaker 1 (01:25:32):
So pay no, I didn't it already six okay? And
then you took it home and your sister was happy.

Speaker 15 (01:25:42):
Yes, I took it home, put it back in the cage,
and I couldn't sleep all night.

Speaker 1 (01:25:46):
Obviously, Yeah, because of the green bird, the excitement of
the day.

Speaker 2 (01:25:52):
Yeah, was the bird the same again after its wild
adventure out in Sydney.

Speaker 3 (01:25:58):
To be honest, I don't know. As soon as my
sister came home, I left, yep, and we never spoke
about it.

Speaker 1 (01:26:06):
So birds deceased them?

Speaker 10 (01:26:11):
Well obviously now is but.

Speaker 1 (01:26:13):
Yeah, obviously obviously I don't know. I don't know a
bird life span. I mean, this is cooler of the way,
do you know what I mean? What a yarn? What
a y Tuesday? First Tuesday again, Natasha, Congratulations the way
we're going to hook you up thanks to Kim's Weeehouse,
home of the biggest brands at the lowest prizes. We're

(01:26:33):
going to Kimi's whet House price back. Well done, Oh
thank you? Okay, wait there sort that out. Fantastic. I
don't think we've got time for any messages, do we know?
We're very late? Podcast Network nine six nine six.

Speaker 2 (01:26:50):
If you're the younger child out of your siblings and
you agree with this, I think this is something we
will know. I'm the younger, you're the middle, you're the older.

Speaker 1 (01:26:59):
Yep. Nice little cross, goodsture here. Yeah, great spread on.

Speaker 2 (01:27:04):
Us study has confirmed that younger siblings really do have
it easier that parents basically give way less shirts. We're
way more lenient with later born children after being way
more kind of lockdown with the older she's the older.

Speaker 1 (01:27:19):
Do you agree if you're the younger of many siblings,
by the time you get to the age of can
I go out? They don't care. Yeah, they don't care,
just like, oh well, they're not going to die. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:27:29):
And it's also so apparently according to the study from
the Manash University, the younger siblings, it's me we spend
less time on activities than enrich us. So you know,
with that, the first kids, you're like, cool, we're going
to do this kind of education style and this sort
of learning, and we're going to have one thousand days
the first one thousand, and we're going to do you know,
get you into some piano lessons. With the later ones,

(01:27:52):
they're like, just don't kill anyone, you know what I mean,
Like you just not cause a crime.

Speaker 1 (01:27:58):
Or something like that. Explosions. Yeah, we're tired, we don't
want to deal with you.

Speaker 2 (01:28:02):
Yes, yeah, So the firstborn has that sort of crushing
responsibility of like new time pearans let's do this right.
Then they kind of realize, eh, you know, some of
it's easier, some of it's harder. So with the time
the middle one comes along, foots off a little bit.

Speaker 1 (01:28:19):
By the time the youngest or you've had two, it's
what would you say that it's like that? I think,
who's it's a little bit easier to do?

Speaker 8 (01:28:30):
Three?

Speaker 1 (01:28:31):
Four, five sex? Wow, everybody wants something, and then the
oldest is always doing the probably the most, you know,
taxing time wise, because it gets it gets more evolved.
I don't see how it happens. I don't know, because
I'm one of two.

Speaker 2 (01:28:44):
I don't know how this would have impacted this study
that I got it easier than my brother because my
brother was easier than me though, you know what I mean,
Like my brother was very gentle and calm and regulated
and normal.

Speaker 1 (01:28:57):
Are you're not? Apparently?

Speaker 2 (01:29:00):
Apparently I've been known from day one to be a handful,
So I think I ended up needing a bit more yeah,
guidance and attention and rules than my calm brother, who
was just kind of because did he even go out.

Speaker 4 (01:29:13):
And like he was straightedge till it was like twenty.

Speaker 1 (01:29:17):
Right, so he didn't even really pave the way for
you to go out into town. No, oh wow, yes.
So when they pulled me off of a bus at sixteen,
you know, sort.

Speaker 2 (01:29:27):
Of drunk, drunk, unaware reverse, what's this?

Speaker 1 (01:29:32):
They were like, this is a new experience. He's going
to need some parameters. Oh did you tell me there
was there? Wass Hey, guys, I reckon. It was the
most fun to be the head on a show. Not
not for me. I don't know where even nowhere even

(01:29:53):
you haven't been here long, have you? No? I haven't. No,
you were listening and you had fun. Won't you give
us a little review in a rating? Please? Aidams Fletchbourne
