Speaker 1 (00:00):
From the Zitim podcast network.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
This is from The Flesh and Haley's Big Pond.

Speaker 1 (00:05):
Thanks to animates making happy it happened for pits. Good morning,
Welcome to the show, Fledged, Fawn and Hating. We're back, hello, back,
back back, now say your little joke that you did,
because I think it was how much time has passed?

Speaker 3 (00:20):
We need brand to then reiterate that somebody stole the
copper pipes from a school and bulls and it means
a cold start and at that school and bulls.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
I said, that's unbelievable.

Speaker 4 (00:30):
Nice, great setter. Great, you gave it to your friends.
He got his moment and it's unbelievable.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
I would have changed it up second time round.

Speaker 4 (00:43):
What would you have seen it? Can we drop the mehita?
I mean the rooms are heat a ball?

Speaker 1 (00:54):
Actually, one of my favorite bit's about driving through balls.
Puns are all the signs a sign. They didn't just
half asked that, did they know we make this work
for everything?

Speaker 4 (01:04):
And they have they really have the answer.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
Them yeah, yeah, yeah. Coming up on the show, Vaughn,
what have you got for us? In the top Sex
This Morning, The top.

Speaker 3 (01:12):
Six things that happened over our break that we need
to comment on and you know, lots balls. Moment the
time pass and now I will let's revisit the top
six things that happened that we didn't get to have
a little a thought on.

Speaker 4 (01:24):
Is it still going to feel relevant or set up?
Do you think give some stuff some stuff?

Speaker 1 (01:29):
Okay, okay, So we need to talk on the show
today because you had a bit of a celebrity weekend,
Vaughn amongst some quite big I somehow found myself amongst
some quite big names.

Speaker 4 (01:41):
And when you belong, i'd say Vaughan Smith of Fletchborn.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
And Bad News Brand Economists, Bad News Brand Joints. This
this morning around seven seven thirty. You've got a question
for him about you know, money things. Yeah, click it
through on the Instagram if you have said it, you've
had it.

Speaker 3 (01:59):
With the nine Sex nine sex pup a star beside
that on the text machine oft where you could revisit
it later. Are you starring things? There's no way I'll
ever remember if someone listening now in brads On can
just message in the studio saying, Vaughn, you starred some questions.

Speaker 4 (02:11):
They've been great because I'll never remind him.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
I'll never remember yeah next on the show.

Speaker 5 (02:16):
Well, men have always been accused of not being able
to multitask. That's a woman's thing, right they see women
we're so good at us.

Speaker 4 (02:21):
Yes, turns out that might not be true.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
Plays that ends flesh worn and Hailey, this is.

Speaker 5 (02:27):
A study that looked at multitasking. Now, famously women we
are praised with a great ability to multitask.

Speaker 4 (02:34):
So I've never seen it the women in my life.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
No, they're not.

Speaker 4 (02:38):
Maybe a funny shit women and men?

Speaker 1 (02:42):
Was Hailey included in that I am a woman.

Speaker 4 (02:44):
In your life.

Speaker 5 (02:45):
Some are good and men are often said that they
can't multitask. Now, I will say this is a UK
study and it's rather small at seventy eight people.

Speaker 4 (02:53):
So I thought, just during this.

Speaker 5 (02:54):
Break, oh that's not enough. We're going to do a
little support research. So Vaughn, during this break, I've already.

Speaker 4 (03:00):
The multitasking, I mean talking and involved in replying to
things and sending an email.

Speaker 5 (03:04):
So I'm going to make it harder for you that
they did five tasks at once.

Speaker 4 (03:09):
Men and five.

Speaker 5 (03:11):
I'm going to get you to do two one beyond
radio and engage in in my presentation and to reorganize
this in zient Herald that I've shuffled up.

Speaker 4 (03:21):
Okay, how shoffled? Is it just by section seditions?

Speaker 5 (03:26):
Now you're the you need to sort of keep in
charge of radio so you're not partaking in.

Speaker 4 (03:30):
This reminds me when it's just looking at this, you're
already distracted. So tell me one thing. That's the front page.

Speaker 3 (03:36):
Yeah, that's the front right, But it just reminds me
of like you'd get the newspaper after like your granddad
or something, and he's just like it was all it was.

Speaker 5 (03:45):
Okay, but remember the second task one is organized engage.
The second one is engaged with me in this little bit. Okay, sure,
here we go. That's two tasks. Flitch, you're doing zero
task at the moment.

Speaker 4 (03:56):
Look at me. I'm doing.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
Three tasks.

Speaker 3 (04:01):
I'm doing the paper, re shuffling, dealing with fletch.

Speaker 4 (04:05):
Real good.

Speaker 5 (04:05):
Remember one of the tasks is listening to me. This
interesting study so this is out of the UK. Get
organized people seventy eight people half and half, half and
half men and women, and they had to juggle five
tasks at once, fake cooking, hunting for a phone number,
a letter number, game words, spotting on a screen and

(04:26):
answering rapid fire chet questions.

Speaker 4 (04:27):
Now, that's very hard numbers at a book. I don't
know now.

Speaker 5 (04:34):
On four of five tasks, cooking, searching, letters, and words,
men and women completely even It was no differentiation, right
because everyone was like, women are going to nail this,
men are going to the can't do it.

Speaker 4 (04:48):
The only gap was talking.

Speaker 5 (04:51):
Women answered on average, men left one in four questions unanswered,
was women left about one and nine unanswered, meaning that
men are not bad at multitasking.

Speaker 4 (05:04):
It's just they go quiet because they're doing it.

Speaker 3 (05:08):
Right, So the king the first task that's the care
about the rank is talking.

Speaker 4 (05:13):
Yeah and so.

Speaker 5 (05:14):
And they call this the horn effect when one visible floor,
which is going quiet, which arguably would be the most
obvious one because now you're silent, you're doing your things,
whereas we're just chatting through the whole thing at the
same time answering the questions that they're giving us. The
horn effect is that because one of them is so
screamingly obvious, our perception is that you're shit at all
of that.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
But it's not true.

Speaker 4 (05:34):
It's not true.

Speaker 5 (05:35):
The only thing is that men go quiet when they've
got to focus on multiple tasks and women, we just
keep on going.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
So the common sounds about right, It sounds about it sounds.

Speaker 4 (05:45):
About right right. And how did you go with your ordering? There?

Speaker 1 (05:48):
Done? Ages ago?

Speaker 4 (05:49):
I felt I felt it simply engaged in the in
the commons, was engaged. That's pretty good. So I'm going
to offer an apology, because women, you all not nor.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
Play in Fletchborn and Haley.

Speaker 4 (06:08):
Say, silly little pool. It is so silly, silly, silly,
that silly little poo, silly poo, silly little poo, silly
little pole, silly a little pool.

Speaker 3 (06:26):
Today is how often do you wash your makeup rushes
flitch or daily?

Speaker 4 (06:30):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (06:32):
I just get new ones.

Speaker 4 (06:32):
I just been. I'm just been in them the whole time.
Oh that's crazy. Is that wasteful of me? A little bit?
They're not single use, right, they're not single use?

Speaker 1 (06:41):
Well I just pop into my attend and get some more. Yeah, yeah,
because I already painted on.

Speaker 3 (06:45):
Well, you've got a half skin, so you go for
a paint, brother, gotta go an undercoat. Yeah, a primer
and an undercoat a rust remover, but a bog a
bog mate both Feller.

Speaker 5 (06:56):
According to the Internet, I was Shari was away professional
makeup art us. But she's not makeup brushes that have
cream on them, Like your foundation brushes should be washed weekly,
your powder brushes, think your eyeshadows, your bronzes, your blushes,
one to two weeks would be fine.

Speaker 4 (07:14):
How do you wash them?

Speaker 5 (07:16):
And just like you can use like a soft shampoo,
like a baby shampoo or something, hands is, machines and
staff dry them. Professionals would do it every week. Professionals
would do it every client, Hailey, this couple of times
a year a year.

Speaker 3 (07:33):
Do your best to wash them and then wipe them
on the bath towel. And then next time I use
the bathtowel, I'm like, oh, I've shipped myself.

Speaker 4 (07:41):
I've wiped pool into the towel.

Speaker 1 (07:42):
It wasn't it was makeup all your pool was quite orange,
exclusively a darker woman. Oh it is true, hands up,
if you have both never washed your makeup brushes and
had a skin staff and infection on your face.

Speaker 4 (08:00):
Hale's raised their hands. Dude, I'm pretty bad.

Speaker 5 (08:03):
And do you know what when I was having really
bad actne was this last year or the year before,
and the girls that Casey kind of asked me like,
how are you washing your pellow cases.

Speaker 4 (08:12):
I said, every week wash the pellow cases and your
makeup brushes.

Speaker 1 (08:14):
I said, yeah, it's like with the doctor asked you
how many drinks he every.

Speaker 5 (08:18):
Week, and that I got like an alcohol spray, which
is a quick Like it's not as good, but you
know what I mean, like give it a quick, sandy.

Speaker 4 (08:29):
But I'm bad. I'm bad for the brushun for you. Yeah,
just keeps running out, Shannon is weekly. That's great. That's
why your skin is the skin of a goddess.

Speaker 6 (08:41):
Oh, I mean I'm medicated for that.

Speaker 4 (08:43):
I was giving it to you.

Speaker 6 (08:44):
But yeah, but no, I do it every Sunday and
it's just part of my routine now when I reset
the apartment, I just wash them and it just feels good.
They look good.

Speaker 4 (08:53):
Come on, come on, join me. Come on, I'd say,
maybe like monthly.

Speaker 1 (08:58):
Okay, so you are the manky bitch here if you
knew that only in the makeup brush department so far.

Speaker 5 (09:05):
Every other way, I'm just a sweet living angel. Okay,
give us a text as well. Partake nine six nine
six come on.

Speaker 3 (09:14):
Oh, we always invite all members of the In fact,
if you can't partake nine sex nine sex, that you
don't have a do anything. We want to hear from
people that from everybody make up loving out there, set
it pop. How often do you clean your makeup brushes?
Three percent of people set it on a weekly basis. Yeah,
eight percent of people said every few weeks, fifty nine
percent of people huge jump here every few months, and

(09:37):
thirty one percent I don't known.

Speaker 5 (09:38):
Makeup brushes okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, thank you for partaking.

Speaker 4 (09:42):
Thank you for partaking.

Speaker 5 (09:43):
Good great option every few months. See that's not that's good.
That's quite mankey, everyone's but mankey.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
How much ant brushes?

Speaker 7 (09:50):
Like?

Speaker 4 (09:50):
Could you just buy? They vary?

Speaker 5 (09:51):
You can get cheap ones, but the fibers will fall
out and you'll get here.

Speaker 1 (09:55):
Right you're on the you want the ones made of
otter otter oer. I you seal, you seal, Arctic seal.
I was on the beaver for a while.

Speaker 5 (10:05):
You can tell it was beautiful blend, beautiful blend on
the bea smoke.

Speaker 3 (10:09):
Out around the edge was thank you for noticing, Carol
message saying, as a makeup artist, I cleaned my work
brushes after every event, but my own hackery.

Speaker 4 (10:19):
As though you don't want to, you know you're doing
this every day for other people. Then you can go
home to my own.

Speaker 7 (10:26):
Sure not.

Speaker 3 (10:26):
I don't wear a full face often daily brows and mascara,
but I'll always make sure everything is washed before I
do a full face, and then usually a few days
after because I don't know the next time i'll use them.

Speaker 4 (10:35):
That's very good, doesn't she a clean girl?

Speaker 1 (10:40):
I'm so sorry, so sorry. Well, I'm so sorry that brought.

Speaker 4 (10:48):
Clean girl doubt ourselves a clean girl just back and
I want to leave. Emily said, I cleaned my beauty
sponge every time I use it. She's got she's on
the sponges, on the sponges.

Speaker 3 (11:03):
Victorious says, never, I don't get sick. Nothing gross happens.
Bacteria is character building. Bacteria is character building.

Speaker 4 (11:11):
I love that. That's our trumerin ale. So that to
my three month staff in fiction. Yeah, I yike.

Speaker 3 (11:18):
So I just buy new ones annually, says Jess Michael
as a very very manly man. I can't join in
this silly little pole. So I didn't vote, but I
just wanted to let you know that I would. I
would vote if I could contribute to the show.

Speaker 4 (11:31):
Thank you.

Speaker 3 (11:32):
Okay, try it every few months as a never, I
chuck them out and start again, says Nicole Hailey. I'm
not prone to purmple, so when I start to get them,
that's when the brushes get a bath. The brush tells
you the brush time, you know it's time for a wash. Gosh,
I should be doing this more often, says Lee. Thanks
for the reminder. I'm off to do it now.

Speaker 5 (11:51):
Yeah, I'm actually going to add that to my extensive
to do list wash makeup.

Speaker 3 (11:55):
And Lana said she just voted and then through her
brushes straight in the that's how you want to do it.
That's how you want to do it.

Speaker 4 (12:02):
So for so little pole, we asked, how often are
you cleaning your makeup brushes?

Speaker 1 (12:05):
The majority of you every few months.

Speaker 2 (12:07):
Plays that ends flesh worn.

Speaker 5 (12:09):
And I think this is Vorn not a tits optimist,
as he misheard earlier when I said the Swedes have
taught me a word.

Speaker 4 (12:16):
Tidd's optimist. T I d s O p t I
mist tidds Tidd's positive. It's like optimist. Yeah, yeah, that's
a positive thing because a pessimist, Yes, it's often centers
more negatively optimists optimistic, a realist, realistic, Yeah, a.

Speaker 5 (12:42):
Realist no optimist is in it. The tidds stands for
time in Swedish. A time optimist, a tid's optimist.

Speaker 3 (12:50):
It's someone who thinks they can get more done the
time allowed than they will ever be able to do it.

Speaker 4 (12:55):
And very optimistic about the time.

Speaker 5 (12:57):
So there's like five minute job, yeah, and as a
result often late, often they're cramming more into their say,
allocated thirty minutes that they've got, I've got thirty minutes
to do this job, and then they over cram it
because they are tids optimists, very optimistic about how long
time things actually take. Like, for example, fletch maybe a shot,

(13:17):
how long that's going to take?

Speaker 4 (13:19):
A toilet break going to take? For he is like
the length of this upcoming song, and it never does.
I can squeeze it out to the Black Eyed Peas.

Speaker 1 (13:28):
When someone wrote a four and a half minute pop song.

Speaker 5 (13:32):
Yeah, see that was Can't Hold Us, which is slightly older. Yeah,
four minutes thirteen. Yeah, we've got some two minute.

Speaker 4 (13:39):
You know piece? What was that first one? Justin Timberlake
kind of where is the Low? Where is the Live?

Speaker 1 (13:47):
It's a good, good length song.

Speaker 5 (13:50):
So tid's optimist, not lazy not lazy, not late because
they're lazy.

Speaker 4 (13:55):
It's thirty two seconds for where is the love?

Speaker 5 (13:57):
See, that's love lame, not lazy or particularly dis organized,
just catastrophically optimistic about how long things actually take.

Speaker 4 (14:04):
And then fifteen minute, I'll be ready. In life, it's
terrible time management.

Speaker 5 (14:08):
Terrible time management is fifteen minutes. I'll be there in
fifteen minutes. You've even left your house and you literally
live thirty minutes away. This is warned you'll be there
at fifteen.

Speaker 4 (14:16):
Yeah, this is just about I completely agree.

Speaker 5 (14:20):
I'll be like, not a negative thing, like he's just
always late because he's lazy or just can't be bothered.

Speaker 4 (14:24):
You're just like, it doesn't take that long. It won't
take that long. And it's just what I feel like.

Speaker 3 (14:28):
The entire this entire two week break was for me
chasing like I called it, chasing light over the break,
I'll be able to get this done today.

Speaker 1 (14:36):
Yeah, and then you're not even halfway through.

Speaker 4 (14:37):
The sun's going down. I'm like, this is a one
day job. The day I'm just gonna wack this up
and do it.

Speaker 5 (14:44):
Be absolutely fine. Where your tid's optimistic and it's making
everything not happen.

Speaker 4 (14:51):
Is there a way to deal with that?

Speaker 3 (14:53):
I've started allowing for twice the amount of time I
think something is going to take.

Speaker 4 (14:56):
I think that's what it is is realizing is in yourself.
It's minute job, hang on a moment.

Speaker 5 (15:01):
The Swedes taught me that that's a Armatid's optimist, which
usually means I'm under under This is going to take
calder Three black Eyed Peace songs, Yeah exactly, I can
get this done in one, and you're like, no, it's
three weird as the.

Speaker 2 (15:15):
Love the Zym podcast network zims Fletch one and Haley
from the Fletchborne and Haley group chat.

Speaker 1 (15:24):
This is the Top Sex Well, how howdy, howdy, howdy, howdy,
howdy howdy. Top Sex today is dealing with the top
sex things that happened over our break that we didn't
get to comment on. Well, a lot of people may
have been away with school holidays as well, living under
a rock, not watching the news.

Speaker 4 (15:40):
Yeah, I actively avoided the news. Nice, isn't it.

Speaker 1 (15:46):
I Mean, it doesn't stop the world from crumbling, but
it's nice to ignore it for a little bit.

Speaker 4 (15:51):
I keep in here alled alert song and they go
boom and then you think you.

Speaker 3 (15:56):
All with COVID days, I turn that shit off. Need
telling me things that aren't really breaking news.

Speaker 1 (16:04):
Like when an All Black dyes and they were one
hundred and four and they played two tests in nineteen
thirty two.

Speaker 4 (16:10):
That size side he played he played, Yeah, at the
age of seven. I'm just yeah, why is a hell
of an All Black?

Speaker 1 (16:18):
They lost a lot to the war worn so that
you really fill the gaps there?

Speaker 4 (16:21):
Yeah, right, but he still had before World War Two?
So what they lost them more than World War One?

Speaker 1 (16:26):
They hadn't replished seven year olds question?

Speaker 4 (16:30):
Not too much?

Speaker 1 (16:31):
Not too much.

Speaker 3 (16:32):
Well, here's the top six things that happened while we
were away that probably needed a comment. Number six on
the list, the UK got another prime minister.

Speaker 4 (16:39):
I saw one year. Well, they had to.

Speaker 3 (16:41):
They've still got the dud one. He sits there until
the new ones and right and yeah, but there seems
like they've had nothing but Dud's no offense.

Speaker 4 (16:49):
Yeah, I feel like I'm like three behind.

Speaker 1 (16:51):
Do you remember when that one lasted? Listen that letters? Yes, yeah,
Liz trust that was funny.

Speaker 4 (16:58):
First this cabbage or Liz and was gone because she
was like, dude, I'm a cabbage. I like, I'm easily
the longest lasting vegetable in the in the crisper. Make
a salad out of that.

Speaker 1 (17:08):
I cleaned my fridge over the break too.

Speaker 4 (17:09):
I didn't. Oh my god. I came home, you said,
opened the vigy drawer. Oh my fridges. And then I
did the freezer because I got carried away.

Speaker 3 (17:16):
Then I did the spice draw and then unfortunately I
tapped into a little bit of overfixation on tidy things
and lost a day and a half.

Speaker 4 (17:23):
See that's it's optimism. It's going to take too long
and still the house number five of the US.

Speaker 3 (17:29):
It's actually sad news because you know, I love our birds, yeah,
our native birds. Huge bird flu confirmed to land in
New Zealand. Yes, saw that on the list of the
top six things. We didn't get to comment on the
vaccinated some cockapool yep, yep. They did the whole advertising campaign.
They just used the COVID one.

Speaker 4 (17:46):
Is getting the jam a yeah fat, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (17:54):
And I know that mate, I got an immune system.

Speaker 3 (17:56):
It's like you, dude, you lay off the fermented berries.
Number four and the list of the top sex it's
another animal. One of the top six stories that we missed.
I read about this. I didn't even hear about this.
Auckland Zoo utilized one of their old drafts. Yeah, yeah,
what are they going to do with it?

Speaker 4 (18:13):
Dig a big old hole? You're not getting I thought
you mean, like, how do you despise of a drop?

Speaker 5 (18:22):
You'd eat a little bit, try it the flesh, and
then you skin it and you're texted to me get
that on a mount.

Speaker 1 (18:31):
I thought you were saying it to be, like the
hole is going to have to be long and deep.
It would be, or to cremate it you'd have to
like fold it up, coil it, and get it in
a laborador sized cremation thing. I don't know what. You'd
have to do it in parts?

Speaker 4 (18:47):
Do it in parts. Then you might as well have
a taste. I'm having to fill it. Yeah, I mean
it's gonna be. It's gonna be.

Speaker 1 (18:52):
I can't imagine it.

Speaker 4 (18:54):
Are you kidding me? It eats nothing but vegetation. I
reckon it would just taste like a tall cow. Give
that a Google flip. What does giraft taste like? You
can't tell me that we're not going breast? I think
you'd go a lot long time.

Speaker 1 (19:06):
Since, opinions and giraffe meat are quite divided. While some
people like a celebrity chef, I like a celebrity chef,
claim it's tender worth a natural sweetness, others described the
lean meat as intensely flavored, sinewy and very chilly. Yeah
there like cook it. Yeah, they used to break down.
It's a hunted and eaten in Africa, of course, but yeah,

(19:30):
not much anymore.

Speaker 4 (19:31):
No, wish you got Africa and give it a try.
Do you know what I ate? Over the Brake story?
If we make no pigeon pigeon? She showed me a photo.

Speaker 1 (19:42):
We made pigeons and.

Speaker 4 (19:45):
Horses.

Speaker 1 (19:46):
The Europeans an't afraid data horse.

Speaker 4 (19:47):
It was cooked by like a big It was fancy,
wancy pitcher, really mush and well I didn't like it.
Wait did you just drop you? You ate a Michelin
star restaurant.

Speaker 1 (19:57):
Wow.

Speaker 4 (19:57):
I saw a couple. I walked past them. I reckon
it so obvious. I didn't know what I was doing there.

Speaker 5 (20:01):
And then the pigeon arrived, the final of you know,
seven savory dishes, and I couldn't eat it.

Speaker 4 (20:07):
I'm guarded if we're finishing on a pigeon was an
entree pigeon breast, pigeon thigh and a little pigeon liver.

Speaker 1 (20:15):
Oh I'm sorry, yuk, that's rats with wings. Pigeons are yuch.

Speaker 4 (20:18):
I couldn't get my head around and it was it
was anyway, that's our bird. Flog got into New Zealand.
By the way, Yet raw pigeon number three on the.

Speaker 3 (20:29):
List of the top six stories that happened over the
break that we didn't get to comment on.

Speaker 1 (20:34):
The Iran US conflict is reignited. Never go out.

Speaker 4 (20:38):
I don't remember. I know we're back at war. I
don't think it was ever not.

Speaker 1 (20:43):
It's not one of those fireworks where the we's gone
right into the firework and you're about to stick it.
Put your head over.

Speaker 4 (20:49):
And it's done. That's done. Look at the tip.

Speaker 1 (20:53):
Number two on the last is a drawer.

Speaker 3 (20:55):
It's it's a second equal, okay for stories that we
didn't get to comment on. So you've done a top
I've done a top seven. To realize that, until I
just realized they wrote four twice about three thirty they
will call it a drawer. So we're calling number two
a drawer as a draw between Paul Henry entering politics.

Speaker 5 (21:12):
Yeah, it was some great policies up a sleeve. Yeah,
like the vibe, the vibe.

Speaker 4 (21:16):
That's what you've expected for, Like mean did politics and
the decisely what it is. The vibes off is he bored,
doesn't even really rich, messes on the rich lists.

Speaker 5 (21:27):
Money can't buy your happiness. Apparently he's bored out of
his mind. A wine and no he had a gin
and God, I just can't imagine anything worse entering pos
for ACT.

Speaker 3 (21:40):
I mean, it was a lovely distraction from the fact
that the guy who was the president of ACT was
a horrendous six pist beg old. Look over here, over here,
don't look over here, and look here joint joint second
story with the passing.

Speaker 4 (21:51):
Of Sam Neil.

Speaker 5 (21:51):
Oh yeah, actually that's that's a desecration upon sam Neil
to put him there.

Speaker 4 (21:57):
Yeah. And I thought, because it kept saying Veil, sam
Neil and all the headlines, I was like, it was
Sam Neil, not his real name, by the way, It
wasn't it was it was Nigel, Nigel was Sam Neil.
It was in bracket and quotations, wasn't part of the
real thing. But I didn't know.

Speaker 3 (22:11):
This is where I learned that veil is like an
Australian and some other places say it instead of rest
and peace.

Speaker 4 (22:17):
And I don't even know if it's veil or valet.
I have it's valet. It sounds a bit posher valet,
but that really that's when I read that that shocked me.
I was pneumonia and I was just like, well, it'll
live forever. Legiend legion, life will find a way, And
unfortunately was and the number one story on the that
we didn't get to comment, Oh, we've run out of time.

Speaker 1 (22:35):
Otherwise we would have gone in depth.

Speaker 3 (22:36):
And number one that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey's wedding.
The doors out of that though, one thing worth noting
was apparently Adam Sandler when he officiated said and richer
and and poorer, you woudn't have to worry about that
part about that.

Speaker 4 (22:51):
I carried on. They won't, will they?

Speaker 5 (22:52):
And did you see one of the guests got like
a reminder message or email or something and deleted it.

Speaker 1 (22:57):
Thought it was yeah because they were text and vites.

Speaker 4 (23:00):
Invites or did you run out of money at the
last minute? Couldn't proNT the text machines hitting it out
there a radio station that is Today' stop.

Speaker 2 (23:08):
Section plays it ends flesh one and Haley, so I.

Speaker 4 (23:11):
See him mean and it says characters who let the
baby escape in years later had to face him, face
the adult as a threat. Top Voldemort versus Harry Potter.

Speaker 3 (23:20):
Yes, next one down, move faster of scar versus Simba
from the Lion King. And then at the bottom, look,
I thought it was that guy. And then Montoya, you
kill my fine prepared to die. Yeah, And so you
know there's some throughout history. It's famous in your movies
and your great stories. Yes, and the bottom one looks

(23:42):
like Nicholas Braun, the guy that was cousin Gregor succession,
holding a baby, So I had to click on it.
That made me feel a little bit out of touch
because I should have known that is argentinean football star
Lil Leon.

Speaker 4 (23:53):
L Lionel Leon L. Yeah, yes, it's not Linel from.

Speaker 5 (24:01):
Got washed away and in somehow twenty years later came
back as a push them as a priest.

Speaker 4 (24:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (24:06):
So Lenel Missy, Leonel Missy is holding a baby. The
baby turns out to be lemon Ya mar Well. That
was the spear that was a conspiracy theory.

Speaker 4 (24:18):
So it's legit. It checks out.

Speaker 3 (24:19):
Wait, I just thought it was a joke that I snopes.
That Snopes is like fact, that was him. It was
for like this UNICEF charity photo shoot.

Speaker 4 (24:28):
So was here was he a UNICEF baby? Correct?

Speaker 1 (24:32):
I kind of like Missy was like a spokes UNICEF
at the time at nineteen.

Speaker 4 (24:36):
It's like when you.

Speaker 1 (24:37):
See a kid at the rugby has got a photo
with an all black that he likes, and then that
kid becomes an all blank.

Speaker 4 (24:43):
Yeah, and the players and everyone's just like from them.

Speaker 3 (24:50):
So yeah, it's legit and that checks out that that
was the that that that's the baby. The baby is
actually yeah, you ma, and it's everywhere. Jimmy, Jimmy Fallon
did a d dive into it.

Speaker 1 (25:00):
Because he's a big conspiracy because.

Speaker 4 (25:02):
It was Everyone's like, no, it legitimately.

Speaker 8 (25:05):
Is Messy is thirty nine now, but he was twenty
in that photo. Thirty nine minus twenty is nineteen, which
is how old la mean Yamal is now? And what
number does Yamal wear?

Speaker 4 (25:17):
That's right, nineteen.

Speaker 8 (25:20):
What's more, this picture was taken in two thousand and seven,
which was nineteen years ago. And what was Messy's jersey
number in two thousand and seven?

Speaker 1 (25:28):
That's right, nineteen.

Speaker 4 (25:30):
That's totally real.

Speaker 8 (25:31):
But it gets crazier because the final takes place.

Speaker 1 (25:33):
This Sunday, July nineteen.

Speaker 4 (25:36):
He's sounding mad at he's sounding like a conspiracy.

Speaker 1 (25:40):
Hear nineteen man? So what was that?

Speaker 4 (25:44):
What was who's the baby Yama?

Speaker 5 (25:46):
And what was his journey from being howled by a
then quite new and young football star to was he adopted?

Speaker 3 (25:57):
And then he obviously loved football. I know he's been
one of the like breakouts of this for he is
well known. This Football World Cup has been you know,
massive for his profile.

Speaker 5 (26:07):
What a journey, what a well will in that beautiful?
Do you know what's funny? I mean I have a
similar story of my own. Okay you When my mum
was pregnant with me twenty nine years old, and I
was in her belly. She was a marching coach and

(26:30):
I was in her belly while she was coaching. And
when she went to a competition, she saw a woman
called Colleen Pober who coached Lockheel and my mum said
it would be my dream to march with her one
day and then I'm in the belly. I march for
Colin Pober later on as kind of like, wow, isn't
it crazy how kids come from nothing and end up.

Speaker 4 (26:50):
Marching you know for the beau. Nobody marches. That's really
not much for the best, you know. And I was
in the belly at the time, and.

Speaker 3 (26:58):
Yeah, very own top seats your male connection. Crazy, how
well the FIFA Final is on.

Speaker 1 (27:07):
It's Spain, Argentina, it's Neil all and it will probably
be like that till the end because it's football.

Speaker 4 (27:11):
Please flet Saturday night you may remember actually if you
long term listen to the show.

Speaker 3 (27:18):
First of all, thanks for joining us. Secondly, if you
knew my name is Vaughn, this is Fletch and Hailey,
we know we do a show Monday and Friday. Here
friends both on and off you genuinely and I think
you can hear it. So I got invited by the
New Zealand Rugby Union excuse you, excuse you to the
All Blacks versus Ireland.

Speaker 1 (27:37):
Now, I wasn't sure of what the situation was that
came with the.

Speaker 3 (27:40):
Lanyard, and I thought this was a bit boom box
like a VIP pass. Yeah, so on box and then
you know, every people that know me will know last
minute bail is absolutely my thing to be there. I
can't make it, but anyway I decided to do it,
went along and I had what I had pretty blood
good time at the All Blacks and apparently they played

(28:01):
quite well.

Speaker 1 (28:02):
I remember, do you not know?

Speaker 6 (28:03):
Did you not what?

Speaker 4 (28:04):
I was watching?

Speaker 1 (28:05):
A little bit?

Speaker 3 (28:06):
I had a lot of before. You would have been
really proud of how much socializing I did. I feel
like I was a real networking event. People were networking.

Speaker 5 (28:14):
Because I saw Maddy McLain and Ryan Teasee did a
full photo shoot.

Speaker 4 (28:19):
Ye, they arrived early and did a photo shirt love there.

Speaker 5 (28:22):
Yeah, I don't know, But can I ask a question
because you, for those our long term listeners, you were
torn between whether or not you were going to wear
an all Black supported jersey, and you threatened the idea
of going to this all Blacks event with an Irish
shirt on.

Speaker 4 (28:39):
But to honor thy heritage.

Speaker 1 (28:40):
I was going to wear a Warriors jersey, but then
they say that was a little bit of a y look.
But there were people wearing Warriors jerseys at the well.
The Warriors were literally playing a few kilometers away. Yeah,
but what a fun time now. Yes, So it was
like a box situation. Lots of like see lots of people.

Speaker 3 (28:58):
We know, lots of people in the industry, lovely people,
and you would be very proud of how much socializing
I did.

Speaker 1 (29:04):
But the box up behind us, lord of the Rings cast, Yes, dude,
Jamie Dornan, what in real life hot? And yeah, he
spanked me with his eyes. Did he say fifty chands
of worn?

Speaker 7 (29:21):
No?

Speaker 4 (29:22):
People keep saying, and I'm just like a bit. He's
not like, yeah, he's going to play a young Aragorn
like he's a great he's so good. And I don't
think fifty grass proudest job. No, I think he regrets.
He's a little bit embarrassed.

Speaker 3 (29:34):
Yeah, and he's gonna blow He's gonna blow us out
of the park. Where Andy Serkis was there why directing
the hunt and.

Speaker 1 (29:42):
You were sending us photos.

Speaker 4 (29:43):
I was like, you were so close to Elijah And
then I was like, man, my dad, Elijah Wood was there.
And then someone said turn around and never looks in
that box. And I turned around.

Speaker 1 (29:50):
Elijah Woods there, and then everyone keeps somebody watched the game.
Stop watching Elijah Wood.

Speaker 4 (29:54):
I want to know what frodo mother efs thanks of
his dang were they love it looking?

Speaker 1 (30:03):
So he was the most into it.

Speaker 4 (30:05):
Was Jamie Jordan because he's an Irishman and we're playing
and that Leo Woodle. I tell you what, he's not
bad on the ie. What was lovely? Actually that reminds
me I was going to get Yeah, yeah, Bomb's uncle
and White Loaders.

Speaker 1 (30:25):
It was in the one day TV Netflix editation. Yeah, yeah, yeah, great,
he's like a real up and comer. Is he here?

Speaker 4 (30:31):
What's he doing? He's doing the Lord of the Rings movie.

Speaker 1 (30:35):
And an elf who was down on the Bloody lawn
my mate and Jason Marmay. He was in the same
box as the Lord of the Rings people. I don't
know what I feel like there was a little bit
of friction between the Minecraft people and the Lord of
the Rings people.

Speaker 4 (30:49):
Really just nation drama, not friction, but they weren't.

Speaker 1 (30:52):
I thought they would have been like really social l a. Yeah, yeah,
very different vibes. Okay, because I.

Speaker 5 (30:59):
Saw Jason was She's down on the bloody pet because
these mates and chumming with all the all black he
was down on the peddoic.

Speaker 4 (31:05):
Yeah, well I was with a good friend Mark and
they come and see grab your boys that you do
your podcast will take you down to the field meet
And I was like, well, here we go. We'll be
invited next. You didn't get on a podcast podcast? On
the podcast? Why did you get on there? You saying
this as an street Did I show them gold tooth,
gold tooth, brother, We're going to take you down to

(31:26):
meet the people. I did you hit them with a chart?
It was my market's the bloody Hug Reuben Love.

Speaker 3 (31:36):
That would have got me some real brownie points with
my daughter, who, by the way, I found out is liked.

Speaker 4 (31:41):
A couple of his photos on Instagram. Really, we've chosen
our first all black crush? Have we year?

Speaker 9 (31:50):
Dad?

Speaker 4 (31:50):
Shut up, I don't want to talk about it about
on the radio.

Speaker 6 (31:53):
First.

Speaker 4 (31:54):
Yeah, who was your first all black crush? I think
it was Johanah Lormo because I was likely you know
it was Gary Whitten for me. Okay, love us slug.

Speaker 1 (32:08):
Right about your eyes on Terry right, just a good
slug one of us leagues on you for.

Speaker 4 (32:14):
Going and rubbing shoulders. Yeah. We were talking also about
the evolution of the hakker from when we were kids.
Got it used to right it.

Speaker 1 (32:26):
And white guys slap in their legs and at the
end of it they had red marks on their leagus
because they slept them with an open hand.

Speaker 4 (32:31):
The evolution of the the hacker was super powerful. The
Irish national anthems are real.

Speaker 1 (32:36):
What is it?

Speaker 4 (32:37):
Because we've sung the Spanish one this morning? Be Witch?

Speaker 2 (32:45):
Do m podcast needwork plays?

Speaker 4 (32:51):
Brad is here? Bad news?

Speaker 5 (32:52):
Brad, Principal economists informtris well done, Thank you, well done.
I want to give you the credit that you because
we roast you a little bit for your pale, beautiful skin.
But when we had our firstutiful boy, he's a beautiful
baby boy.

Speaker 4 (33:08):
Now, Brad, we've.

Speaker 1 (33:09):
Asked the listeners, our dear listeners, to sending questions nine
six ninety six and you can answer them.

Speaker 5 (33:15):
Have you got the insti ones, Bornie? Do you want
to start there and start on Instagram?

Speaker 1 (33:18):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (33:19):
Ye.

Speaker 1 (33:19):
Sponsors are cap just quickly good or bad news? How
we're going well, I mean it just starts.

Speaker 4 (33:28):
I'm trying.

Speaker 9 (33:28):
I'm trying, guys, I'm really trying to come up with
something positive. But put it this way, petrol prices are
not as bad as they were back in April. But
they're not good either, So it depends on when you
want to compare to compared to the start of year,
probably not as.

Speaker 4 (33:41):
Good as the day. What about let's compare it to
the seventies, like Paul Henry.

Speaker 10 (33:46):
Where in the country's vibes off brad Well look compared
to the seventies when I don't know, just like that
there was also an oil shock, but also everyone just
seemed to have really cheap houses, Like I don't know,
maybe maybe we should go back to when the boomers
headed All well, all.

Speaker 4 (34:02):
Right, we've got some questions. I don't think some of
as power as you can say that I take my
boomer head out, good old day.

Speaker 3 (34:11):
Okay, Caro says, what are your thoughts on refinancing so
we can put in a pool as.

Speaker 4 (34:16):
It or a silly idea, not silly now, but come summer,
ah Man, Financially, that's that's a tricky one. I'm not sure.

Speaker 9 (34:27):
I'm not sure it is worth it if you put
in a spa, though, I will happily come and pay
some of your mortgage to.

Speaker 4 (34:32):
Sit in a spa. Yeah. I love a spark, little
spark and keep it cool in the summer. Yeah, yeah,
you got punch pool. But in all seriously, that's probably
an expense way to go about it, right. A pool's
not I'm going to add a lot of value to
a property. Well they might, but have you seen the
property market at the moment, like you you're editing, it's down.
It's down, yea you have. It's not going to put

(34:54):
it this way.

Speaker 9 (34:55):
Even if you're putting in a pool, you're going from
negative money to slightly less negative, but still negative money negative.

Speaker 4 (35:02):
I'll be careful. I think that inflatable pool. It's it's
not a bad shower. You they're good. Get ten.

Speaker 1 (35:08):
Alice says, when will the job market get better? Please?

Speaker 4 (35:11):
We so?

Speaker 9 (35:12):
Okay, fair enough. The last couple of well, last couple
of years has been a bit tough. Last couple of
months we did see hiring pull back from a lot
of companies just because the Surran war stuff was real intense.
Last monthly figure we've got for June, I picked it
up on Friday. It's actually lifted a little bit. So
again there's a little bit more starting to come through.
Not easy, I get that, but you've also got to

(35:33):
look at the different industries.

Speaker 4 (35:34):
The likes say industry.

Speaker 9 (35:36):
Construction's picking up, but it hasn't been great, but there's
a bit of a pick up health and it. If
you know how to use chat GPT and your boss
clearly doesn't, you're in a good place. But yeah, hey,
I mean like the likes of some of the sales
roles and similar retail still not that flash. Haley hasn't
been doing us spending well, not not in New Zealand

(35:56):
supporting France. Sorry, bring bring your spinning back home domestically
by my pleisure, I bet I.

Speaker 3 (36:04):
Have lots of savings accounts that I put small amounts
into hedge the bets on it, that's what they score that,
or have one main account with you know, eggs and one.

Speaker 4 (36:15):
It's a good question.

Speaker 9 (36:16):
It probably depends on what they want to do with
their money. So on one hand it can be really
useful I think for some people to have lots of
little savings accounts because then you can see very clearly
what you're saving for. You know, you have your long
term stuff, you have your trip to Australia one, you
have your I need to buy you know, some new iPhone,
whatever it might be. You can see those different accounts.

(36:37):
The one challenge is if you put them all out
separately and you've got a bit of money, you won't
get quite as much compound interest over time. So you're
slightly better financially to put all the money together because
you'll get more compound interests long term. But if you
like seeing all the individual bits and pieces, yeah, I
can understand why you might split it out.

Speaker 4 (36:55):
Now. That sounds like a problem that will no longer
be mine. After Wednesday night, own the beglotto when it
comes my way. Supporting as friends, how much are you
giving us?

Speaker 1 (37:04):
Wow, I'm including myself here.

Speaker 4 (37:06):
I have a deal.

Speaker 3 (37:07):
I'll look after you about don't you worry about that.
We'll have a fun We'll have a fun time.

Speaker 4 (37:11):
We'll have a fun time.

Speaker 3 (37:12):
But what would say someone does one of our lovely
listeners packs up thirty five million dollars?

Speaker 4 (37:17):
What do they do? What's the first step?

Speaker 9 (37:19):
It doesn't matter, go and get the damn ticket validated
before you make any decisions, and probably the best say,
but look, let's say that you've done it, You've gone
through the processes, the money's hit your bank account. The
very first thing I think you do is don't go
out and blow it all.

Speaker 4 (37:34):
Immediately.

Speaker 9 (37:35):
What I would probably do is what would you what
was it thirty mili? Thirty five mil? Okay, let's let's
say this is a silly amount of This is my
personal approach. I'd put thirty mil of it into term
deposits for six months, leaving me with only five.

Speaker 4 (37:49):
It's half right, But that.

Speaker 9 (37:51):
Just means that, like you put its way, your smartest
move at that point would be putting it that money
to in such a way that you can just live
off the interest on it, and then then you can
make the big big purchases. You want to go and
buy a super YT, you want to go and buy
something else. You can do that in a bit, write
it down, but eventually you want to sort of just
that first six months, I think you'd want to go
and do it just a little bit of the more

(38:12):
sensible stuff.

Speaker 4 (38:13):
I mean, would you turn up to work day? I
think so, go do the tests first, the sensible stuff.
Get them up to New Zealand for the jab, the jet,
the jab still takes time. Suck it out? Does suck
it out? The boobs?

Speaker 9 (38:35):
I'd love to know as an economic indicator, do you
know is that something that is like plastic surgery, and
that a thing that as as the economy is better,
there's more plastic surgery going on.

Speaker 5 (38:44):
I don't have to investigate this now. So there's a
hell of a lot of lips. You could sider bloody
book on face lips.

Speaker 11 (38:52):
Now.

Speaker 5 (38:52):
Someone said, morning Bread, do you agree with the notion
this is very serious that in a triathlon between a
shark and a cheaterh it all comes down to the
cycle leg the economy.

Speaker 1 (39:05):
I know.

Speaker 4 (39:09):
They actually turn this around, but don't.

Speaker 5 (39:12):
The first part first, when it comes to a triathlon
between a shark and a Cheaterah, do you agree the
notion that it all.

Speaker 4 (39:17):
Comes down to the cycle leg? Yes?

Speaker 5 (39:19):
Okay, And if the economy continues to be run by
cheaters and sharks, see what I did there, inflationary situation
will likely push the fable fifty cent ary mixed to
fifty five cents, making it uneconomical to continue.

Speaker 4 (39:32):
Who's getting fifty five?

Speaker 1 (39:34):
Nobody's getting a hearing. Dollars are like three dollars in
a bag. Sorry, not the real feature ones. I don't
think as in New Zealand you should have to pay
for fejs.

Speaker 5 (39:47):
No cycle lig though, between the shark and the cheater.
We're saying the cheaters winning right.

Speaker 3 (39:52):
The cheeta would be a bit, would be a runner,
and a shark can't ride a bike. A cheata could
probably give it a no, not unless the bike's mind fine,
I mightified bike. I mightified bike. And as the shark
have robot legs, it seems unlyfair, it does. Lucy asks
my mortgages coming up to be refixed in the coming months.
What's the forecast looking like for interest rates? We're going up,
We're coming.

Speaker 9 (40:12):
Down, We're going up, We're going up. Well, okay, so
the Rezero Bank's already gone up. You saw that, I
think the other week, the Rezero Bank increasing interest rates
for the first time in three years. So yep, things
are coming through. But the only sort of good news
is we were worried originally that inflation was going to
get so high that everything would have to increase so much.
Now it's a little bit less intense. So yep, probably

(40:32):
more expensive going forward, but not as bad as we
were first.

Speaker 7 (40:35):
He was.

Speaker 1 (40:38):
Okay.

Speaker 5 (40:38):
Someone said as well, that they're looking forward to you're
doing a keynote speech later this week.

Speaker 9 (40:43):
Oh, probably, that sounds about right. I do a lot
of speaking I do a lot of I do a
lot of speaking.

Speaker 4 (40:47):
Conference. No, I'm not all I need to go.

Speaker 5 (40:50):
What's your keynote later this week? How to be fixturing
the book keep? Let me consult my diary whisping it's
bad news break.

Speaker 4 (40:56):
Let me go and consult my diary of that one?
And librarians and bookkeepers? Is that an accountants? It feels
like accounting, right, I'm not mean a keeper of the books.

Speaker 1 (41:04):
Well bred. Thank you again for the bad news. Wait
a minute.

Speaker 3 (41:07):
One seventy thousand dollars a reasonable salary for full time
work and the modern day and age, you should have
be pushing for more. And then in brackets it's his
working in health policy.

Speaker 4 (41:15):
Ah.

Speaker 9 (41:17):
I think you should always, in the right and plightest way,
push for more if you think you're worth it, and
there are ways to go about it. You just don't
walk into the boss's office and say I'm worth more money.
But you go through and your here's all the stuff. Yeah, well,
how's that going for you?

Speaker 4 (41:29):
Great? More every time? Every single week?

Speaker 1 (41:33):
More?

Speaker 7 (41:34):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (41:35):
Sorry, guys, I'm going to my wages. I have to
go in and get it.

Speaker 9 (41:38):
I'm going to take off my economic how I'm going
to give that one over the ball and I'm going
to swap him for his beanie and he can do
the economic.

Speaker 4 (41:43):
Stuff, just going more more better than I was last week.
You think you can do this without me, I'd like
some cash money please. Our boss just walked in. I
think the answer is we could do it without.

Speaker 1 (41:53):
Just quiet on there, Bred.

Speaker 4 (41:55):
Thank you so much for your wisdom. Yes, brand is lovely.

Speaker 5 (41:59):
Stick around here. A bit of an embarrassing story. I
sent something very inappropriate to my mother and brother.

Speaker 4 (42:06):
I can't wait for all people.

Speaker 2 (42:08):
The Fletchborne and Hailey begod.

Speaker 4 (42:13):
Nine six nine six text.

Speaker 5 (42:14):
When did you accidentally send something to your parents that
perhaps was not for them?

Speaker 4 (42:19):
And news? Brad is stuck around to hear what I've seen?
Have you ever seen? I don't actually know anything about
Brady's parents. What do you want to know? When you
took us at the rugby?

Speaker 9 (42:30):
I took four different groups of people, friends, all that
sort of thing together. It was maybe a little bit
too rogue taking four. Yeah, but no, I've never seen
anything that I would regret. I don't think I'm fascinated.
And how bad you've done it?

Speaker 5 (42:43):
Well, I saw something come up on Instagram, and I
thought it would be really funny to send to my
group of our group of friends, the gaggle, who were
predominantly made up of homosexual men, and it was.

Speaker 4 (42:58):
Did you not know? I thought there were I thought
they were European and that's why I always kissed you
are one of a very few straight people in that group.
And it was a it was an infograph on how
to find the clitterest breans. Right, that's a body part hale.

Speaker 9 (43:17):
Intrigue that this particular group chat needs to know that information.

Speaker 7 (43:21):
Did you know?

Speaker 4 (43:22):
I just thought it was hilarious the idea of them
trying to find it. Did you know, for the first
time in history, it's going to start the raining men. No,
the clitterist has been mapped, like fully met because you know,
it's it's got.

Speaker 1 (43:35):
A whole sit.

Speaker 4 (43:36):
I saw the guy with the young backpack on it is.
Twitter just didn't give it any have you seen have
you seen the model that they've made.

Speaker 5 (43:48):
It's a full thing, but that they've only just done
that now it's huge, doesn't matter, it's massive.

Speaker 4 (43:53):
So anyway, so how did they find it before twenty
twenty six? This echo location?

Speaker 1 (44:04):
It was like, yes, that's why women weren't allowed in
submarines for so long.

Speaker 4 (44:08):
I popped up one on so they were screaming on
a sonar level.

Speaker 5 (44:12):
I'm here anyway. So I saw a funny e phograph
that said where's the clitorism? I thought it'd be really
funny to send it to a group of homosexual men,
and instead, just randomly out of nowhere, just send it
to my mum and brother.

Speaker 4 (44:29):
Patsy'd be there for a laugh. Would and so is
my brother the Liberal.

Speaker 5 (44:34):
But it's sort of a really specific even the word
we've sort of made it feel.

Speaker 4 (44:38):
A bit naughty medical. Was there any other context? Was
it just the post of the damn blue Like, I'm
just saying, hey, Mom, hey brother? What did they say?
How you find that?

Speaker 5 (44:48):
Laugh faces? And I said, oh my god, that was
for fletching worn in our mates. Mom said, oh yeah, god,
it looks like one of those head massages, you know,
the whole system at the back, it's got this whole
plenny thing. They could have been worse things that you've
sent to your parents. And that's what I want to
know from our listeners. What did you accidentally send to
your parents? There wasn't for them. Maybe it was an

(45:10):
opinion piece. Maybe it was a photo.

Speaker 1 (45:13):
Maybe it was a naughty photo. Yeah, maybe maybe you.

Speaker 4 (45:16):
Were talking about them to your siblings. A god, mom's bitch.
You know, what did you accidentally send to your parents?

Speaker 1 (45:23):
Okay, well you can take through nine six nine sex.
I wait one hundred dars at emson number and my.

Speaker 5 (45:27):
Brother's fiance can, so thank you. What did you accidentally send.

Speaker 4 (45:33):
To your parents? Anonymous? What did you send?

Speaker 1 (45:35):
Tommy Lace?

Speaker 4 (45:39):
Good morning?

Speaker 11 (45:41):
Hi?

Speaker 12 (45:42):
So I sent a photo of me in labor, all
of you or the moment that my waters broke, and
I was I was aiming to send it to my
mom because she's like quiet into labor and everything, and
I accidentally sent it to her family with like my
my grandparents smiling.

Speaker 4 (46:03):
To be honest, sort of a Russian Dole situation without
Grandma came out of Grandma. You came out of mum.
Something's coming out of you. It's only right she's involved
in that. I don't know if they want to see
that though. When it's giving birth.

Speaker 1 (46:19):
Yeah, you can unsend.

Speaker 12 (46:25):
I think I did, but I didn't realize till that
half now.

Speaker 1 (46:30):
Was busy fletch, Yeah, fair fear okay, anymous seat you
some messages.

Speaker 3 (46:36):
I was showing my mum something on my phone and
got a snapchat from my then new boyfriend rackets now husband.

Speaker 4 (46:42):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (46:45):
I opened a snapchat from him and it was the
tip of his paenis hanging at the end of his
shorts and he had drawn her smiley face on. My
mom saw the whole thing in front of her accounting
office colleagues, and.

Speaker 4 (46:55):
Then there's a level of respect he'll never reach.

Speaker 3 (46:57):
Now, did he draw the smiley face on the penis
or did you take the photo an app?

Speaker 12 (47:03):
No?

Speaker 4 (47:03):
Surely, yeah.

Speaker 1 (47:05):
We shouldn't be drawing on our genitals.

Speaker 3 (47:08):
Can we include in laws because this seen a very
funny text from anonymous. I actually sent my mother in
law a message that said, Babel got my period. My
tampons are in the drawn necks of the vibrators. Could
you grab me one. Got a text back from my
mother in law saying, I think this was meant for.

Speaker 5 (47:22):
Phil and she should be proud she's raised a man.
Let us happy to go get some tampons and welcome
other friends into the bed trap.

Speaker 1 (47:33):
Four three four I seen to dick pic to my mum.

Speaker 4 (47:36):
By mistake no, you didn't, and you should replied, congratulations,
that's bigger than your father's. Do you super? Don't you super?

Speaker 3 (47:50):
I mean statistically right, the average size of the penis
is as as growing. But no one as a young
man ever thinks they'll measure up to their further.

Speaker 4 (47:58):
Makes given me.

Speaker 5 (48:00):
It's pain as you've ever seen when you're a kid, right,
because it's just.

Speaker 4 (48:06):
Like it's congratulations is so good? Congratulations, Thanks mom, Thanks mam. Oh,
just dig a hole.

Speaker 1 (48:17):
Snuck out when I was sixteen. At some stage during
the escape, I accidentally pocket told my parents and they
just listened to my great escape. Oh wow, as I
was thinking.

Speaker 4 (48:29):
I literally never snuck out ever.

Speaker 1 (48:32):
When I was a younger lady, my then boyfriend thought
it would be funny to pretend to send my mum
a video of me doing a certain something to him.

Speaker 4 (48:39):
Oh. The only problem was it was back in the
day when once you started sending something, you couldn't cancel
sending it. That's a fresh invention and we are so
grateful for it. The canceling yeah unseen, yeah, unseen, or
even when it gets fully sent, to pull it back, yeah,
to unsend it.

Speaker 1 (48:58):
Does it count when your mum stumbles a handwritten.

Speaker 4 (49:01):
Letter you wrote. What did it say? It was to
her recently ex boyfriend detailing the first time together. Yeah, okay, Oh,
dear mom, shouldn't be nosying in that. No, no, no, no, no.

Speaker 3 (49:15):
M My sister sent a picture of her and a
newborn to everyone in the family. She didn't realize how present,
ever present, ever present, Her swollen privates were at the bottom.

Speaker 4 (49:30):
Because the thing you're looking at it, you're like, it's good,
look at the and they're a little shading over the
bottom with the photos or it's like we scroll through
and then then when you send it and someone clicks
full scroll, there's the volvo down the bottom when it's
three point safety hardness. Ye, and it's really been through
the ringer at that point.

Speaker 2 (49:47):
Needwork play z MS flet Thorn and Hailey.

Speaker 4 (49:51):
Lovely to be back? Isn't it lovely?

Speaker 7 (49:53):
Be back?

Speaker 4 (49:54):
Flipped Pahn and Hailey on ZDM what a what a pleasure? Yes? Yes,
genuinely until Wednesday, which case, Syonara, when we're.

Speaker 1 (50:06):
When the ladder will be here for a little while.
Just throw everybody off the scent. Yeah again, I don't
think as your retirement.

Speaker 3 (50:16):
Yeah, all my eggs are in thy basket. Yeah, exactly,
do you drop my basket?

Speaker 6 (50:20):
Lot?

Speaker 4 (50:21):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (50:22):
You may have seen that two of us in the
room were luckily enough to pop over to Europe for
our little break. Doesn't matter who it was, but I
was one of them and had a lovely trip. Visited
some great places, one of which was Rome, and it
hadn't been since I was sixteen years old, so it
was like discovering it all again. And I was with
a friend and he was yet to do that. In August,

(50:46):
he was yet to go to Rome, and so wanted
to do all the big things, the coliseum and the
Pantheon and all that kind of stuff, Like.

Speaker 4 (50:55):
That's wrong that I would think, like you probably see
a postcardle to so wrong. It's the most because it
looks really busy and really hot, and it is if
you're a bad planner.

Speaker 1 (51:06):
Yeah, it is really busy, well, and it's really hot.

Speaker 5 (51:09):
Peter's Basilica, saw the Cystina, all that kind of stuff.
Wanted to get it all done, and because I don't
want like heaps of busy days on my trup, I
wanted to chill. I did get it all into one
day and I kept saying like this is the big day.
You know, like this is the big day. It's gonna
be really really full on. Get up nice and early
for our whatever. Our first thing was. I forget already
and get ready. I've got my chub rub shorts on.

(51:32):
I've got a light light outfit, shoulders covered for Saint
Peter's right, knees covered.

Speaker 4 (51:37):
I'm a woman.

Speaker 5 (51:38):
Heaven forbid people see my slutty little knees in a church.
I'm super prepared. I've got water, I've got everything, Like
I had what.

Speaker 3 (51:46):
God famously said to Adam and Eve when he created
the MESA for God's sake, women come up, cover up
those slutty knees.

Speaker 4 (51:51):
Yeah, those things. I love keep those calendar girls exactly.
So I planned the day meticulously.

Speaker 5 (51:58):
I was really excited at great night, it's sleep like
good breakfast, ready to go and put on my some block,
my hand and everything, and got the bag and I
took my vitamins and they get into we've got an
uber to the It was Simpeedi's right at the Vatican.
Maybe the Pope's there. And in the middle of the uber,
I busy day head start to feel a bit funny

(52:19):
and I'm like, oh my god, I'm not like, something's off.
I must be dehydrated. I'm drowning in water and everything.
I get out of the uber and I'm feeling dizzy
and the world's spinning a bit, and I was like,
something's really really wrong. My head's bobbing like this, and
I start to feel really awful. But I was like, right,
I've got to suck it.

Speaker 4 (52:35):
I've got to suck it up.

Speaker 5 (52:36):
And in thirty six degree heat with fifteen thousands fifteen
kilometers like thirty thousand sets, everything like that, I managed
to push throat, feeling absolutely out of it, and I
get back to the accommodation and I look on the
table and I've taken not my anxiety medication, a sleeping pill.
Oh no, I did roam at thirty six degrees like

(53:01):
the top five huge attractions on a zopper clone in
my sister.

Speaker 1 (53:06):
Aren't they like I've got I've got those for traveling,
for sleeping on the plane. They're tiny?

Speaker 4 (53:10):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (53:11):
Are they the same says size diamond shape as my
anxiety meds.

Speaker 1 (53:18):
Time on the plane and I woke up at home.

Speaker 4 (53:20):
No, you drank too much alcohol. You're not meant to drink.

Speaker 3 (53:23):
You didn't tell me that, And Fletch said, Fletch gave
me two, and there's no indication that I should to
take half of one rather than two.

Speaker 4 (53:29):
Of the time. I didn't give you.

Speaker 1 (53:30):
Any prescription medications.

Speaker 4 (53:32):
You don't make it this. You made that said, wrap
it in the filter and swallow and it numbs the taste.
And then I woke up. I left Singapore, and I
woke up in my bed at home.

Speaker 5 (53:41):
This was just I had all my meds and then
their little green tubes like this, and one of them
was just the medication I take every day, and the
actually supposed to pick you up a little bit. And
I took a zopper clone like a sleeping pill, and
I pushed through. And then when I got home it
all made sense, and I wasn't. I was like, I'm on, Well,
which Fletcher you would have seen, really.

Speaker 4 (54:02):
Did it again two days ago? Well not kind of.

Speaker 5 (54:06):
But we were on our plane and they made us
get off and I was and Fletch had to like
wake me up. He's like, get off, We've got to
get off the plane. We're two hours delayed switching planes.

Speaker 4 (54:13):
And I was like, sleeping pool, I've already taken it.
He was like, you idiot, we hadn't even taken off yet.

Speaker 5 (54:18):
I was like, oh, we were gone, and then you
had to drag my ass around Singapore to try to
get back on the plane.

Speaker 4 (54:25):
That's why we don't take the sleeping pil until the
plane's in the sky. Ye.

Speaker 5 (54:30):
And that's why if you've got a massive day and
high high heed and you've got lots of planned and
it's a it's a walkable, it's a huge walking day
the job.

Speaker 4 (54:38):
So you did it. I did it, and I didn't come.
But I just don't. I'm not one hundred percent. I'm
coming down with something I pushed through. I might have
been a bit sharp at some points.

Speaker 5 (54:49):
You say that you know a little bit of that
because I was just exuding energy I didn't have.

Speaker 4 (54:54):
But yeah, I can't. That's how much energy I have.

Speaker 5 (54:57):
It's like combat it and he's sleeping per in thirty
six to gree Hays, eighty thousand.

Speaker 4 (55:02):
Steps under my bout. It's impressive. Thank you very much.
Stop me, she's a yack. During the break, she needs
a try to stop her.

Speaker 2 (55:14):
Z M podcast Network play z m's flesh Worn and Haley.

Speaker 5 (55:18):
Mister Shannon was very nervous actually, because she was made
of honoring at one wedding and going to another while
we were on our break.

Speaker 6 (55:25):
Yes, I was so nervous because made of honor feels
so serious. And my bride was the most chill bride
ever that I was stressed out.

Speaker 1 (55:33):
Two weddings in July. I would have thought everyone gets
married in late summer.

Speaker 4 (55:37):
Well lovely, Oh that's right, same bride to weddings.

Speaker 6 (55:41):
Yes, So she's Indian. So we had the Western wedding
last weekend, and then over the weekend I had her Indian.

Speaker 4 (55:46):
Okay, I wanted to. The food was really good the
Indian wedding, So the question wasn't it? And I had
that date with that guy all lined up and then
I never went on it. He was Indian.

Speaker 5 (55:57):
I'm gutted, man, because it was my end to be
an Indian bride. Because you want on her hands, No,
I want the I want the three day attention and
all the jils and stuff.

Speaker 4 (56:06):
Do you have a nose ring that connected to an earring? No?

Speaker 6 (56:08):
But she had the bindi. Her outfit was twelve kgs though,
so be aware.

Speaker 4 (56:12):
Why are you laughing at the nose ring connected to
the earring. It just feels very stereotypical to ask.

Speaker 1 (56:19):
From the movie three hundred to the area.

Speaker 4 (56:23):
Oh, I always want the whole thing. It's just beautiful.

Speaker 6 (56:26):
Well, yeah, she had her first wedding last weekend in
Queenstown and it was gorgeous.

Speaker 4 (56:30):
It was outside.

Speaker 6 (56:31):
I have never been so cold in my life.

Speaker 4 (56:34):
Was this the white wedding? Yes, right, so it was
because of the people. I was there, so yeah, white
white dress.

Speaker 6 (56:43):
So for the ceremony we were outdoors and it was
negative three. The altar was so frozen that the grass
had frozen and there was a layer of ice on top.
So I was in little heels, a backless dress.

Speaker 4 (56:54):
Like it was cold.

Speaker 1 (56:55):
Man, that you need crampons, crampons on your heels.

Speaker 4 (56:59):
Yeah, crampons, crampons, I feel interest do not know what
a crampon is. It's like if you're eerating your grass off. Crampons.

Speaker 5 (57:10):
They're like little sandals of blades and libra crampons.

Speaker 4 (57:16):
When you get.

Speaker 6 (57:20):
No, okay, well you put oh no, Well.

Speaker 1 (57:24):
If you were going up Everest, you'd have your crampons.

Speaker 4 (57:26):
I reckon.

Speaker 3 (57:27):
You go for a specialized boot if you're going up Everest.
If you're spending the money. It's a boot and a crampon,
it's different things.

Speaker 4 (57:32):
But yeah, I feel like a crampon cramps onto an
existing boots an extinction.

Speaker 5 (57:38):
Because what if he wants to go to the cafe
near near Everest and he's got his crampons on.

Speaker 3 (57:44):
It actually says that at the door at the cafe
half wayfe Everest, that says, please take off your muddy
boots and your crampons.

Speaker 4 (57:50):
They don't want the stuff on the floor, but like,
literally you should have crampons.

Speaker 1 (57:53):
This wein No, we just.

Speaker 6 (57:54):
Welzed on down. But it was it was so cold,
and like I was very nervous. I cried the entire
ceremon only one crying, by the way.

Speaker 7 (58:01):
I was like.

Speaker 1 (58:03):
Crying.

Speaker 6 (58:03):
I love these people. I was, you know, it was
a very beautiful moment.

Speaker 4 (58:07):
Oh that's lovely. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (58:09):
And so then I was, you know, feeling a lot
of feelings and I was really cold, and I was
the witness. I had to sign the marriage license and.

Speaker 4 (58:16):
This is my first time. That's scary.

Speaker 6 (58:18):
And they said come on over, and you know, again
I couldn't feel anything. My hands were frozen, like around
the bouquet I was holding and They said, all right, Shannon,
you need to sign this properly. This is a big deal.
This is the RGE license.

Speaker 4 (58:30):
Wearing some little can do missions crampons to hold them
into the bouquet.

Speaker 6 (58:39):
Well, so I was so nervous and they said sign
this paperwork and I said sweet, and I pick up
the pin and I was like, I can't feel the pin.

Speaker 4 (58:45):
The pin was so cold.

Speaker 6 (58:47):
And they said sign this CREETU and I said sweet.
And I was like, remember Shannon, you have a full name,
because I only call myself.

Speaker 4 (58:52):
Shannon Shannon Janetta Trump.

Speaker 6 (58:55):
Okay, no, not that close.

Speaker 4 (59:01):
She's named after the crampons. Doesn't worry.

Speaker 6 (59:03):
But so I was like, remember to write your full name, Shannon.
And so I start writing Shannon Jessica and I start
j E. And then I looked up because they said
smile for a photo. I said smile, and then I
just started writing and I spelt my name wrong on
her marriage wife, like like Jessica rong. Well, I just
merged my middle name of my last name. I was
Shannon ja Trump shrim And then I looked up and

(59:28):
I said I've spelled my name wrong. Everyone start laughing,
and the celebrant not happy.

Speaker 4 (59:34):
She was fuming before, I don't have another copy of
this thing.

Speaker 6 (59:39):
And then it became a big drummer. The best man
comes over. I said, hey, careful, this is quite hard.

Speaker 4 (59:43):
Be careful writing. Yeah, shockingly espusually with slippery crowd.

Speaker 6 (59:53):
Turns out he moved house that week and didn't know
his address, so spelt it wrong and gissed his post.

Speaker 4 (59:59):
Miss.

Speaker 6 (59:59):
They could have have any two people to be their witnesses,
and both of us signed their marriage license wrong, so
I'm not sure if they're actually married or not.

Speaker 5 (01:00:06):
As a fallner marriage celebrate, I've got to do it again.
By the way, as you know, it's not right. It
has to be completely correct.

Speaker 4 (01:00:12):
Yeah, it was just like normal check it. But yeah,
but it's supposed to be correct.

Speaker 1 (01:00:19):
No one will check that.

Speaker 4 (01:00:20):
No one will check no one's give it, no one
will check it as long as you keep it to yourself.
In fact, you may have given her a lovely little legal.

Speaker 6 (01:00:26):
Loopole said, if you guys Eve get in an argument,
you can just be like nush, it doesn't exist.

Speaker 3 (01:00:35):
And Jessica, yeah, I don't know that, trim, and then
a big squiggle mat where she slipped over as she
finished signing your name because she forgot to bring crampons
to an ice sweating.

Speaker 5 (01:00:44):
You never forget your crampons to one thing you take
away from the show today?

Speaker 2 (01:00:51):
Flitch right now, Time for.

Speaker 1 (01:00:55):
Fact of the day, day, day, day, day, in fact
of the day's back and it's kissing work effect of

(01:01:17):
the day.

Speaker 4 (01:01:18):
Were you anticipating it wouldn't be back?

Speaker 7 (01:01:20):
You know what I mean?

Speaker 4 (01:01:21):
There was a there was a possible, a possible cancelation
effect of the day. They have a still at eight
twenty six. I said, I don't know, and no one
else said any idea. So the fact that that is back.

Speaker 3 (01:01:31):
Purely out of desperation for having to fill this break otherwise, right,
I won't lie to you.

Speaker 1 (01:01:37):
I think there'd be an uprising effect of the day
to the riots. Do you think I think so? Do
you think that's nice?

Speaker 9 (01:01:44):
Off?

Speaker 4 (01:01:45):
I'm out?

Speaker 3 (01:01:46):
Really do you think people would came at Parliament grounds again?
I'll throw a cobble. I'll throw a cobble in the
name effect of the day. I'll trouble you know what,
I'd see a playground on fire.

Speaker 4 (01:01:55):
It's case the work.

Speaker 3 (01:01:56):
Effected the day because I found out something just put
to side to the fact that kissing because one of
my about dad, he wasn't related to kissing. Okay, to
be some connection because about my about my new girlfriend
you you ketched broadcast.

Speaker 4 (01:02:10):
Yeah, it was a lot relations Yeah. I working to
use my tongue. Just one day, No, I found out
she loves the coffee news. You know that weird. She's like, oh,
this was the nose, oh coffee news. And because I

(01:02:31):
was like, no, one likes the coffee news. The coffee
news it's this little brown or size brown. It's like
peach paper peach.

Speaker 3 (01:02:41):
No, have definitely pulled back the budget on peach. They've
gone far more for a beige than peach brown.

Speaker 4 (01:02:46):
I remember peach of advertising and you just supposed to
funny even know the origins of coffee news people needed
something to do while they were drinking coffee. Was it
also like odd store from around?

Speaker 3 (01:03:01):
So she said, is this where you got the idea
for fact that? The day from I was like, what
are you talking about? She's like, because of the did
you know section? It's got little facts. I was like,
I didn't know this about coffee news.

Speaker 5 (01:03:10):
Oh okay, it's like a great Christmas cracker. It's got
a little thing a little bit timber, you know, and.

Speaker 4 (01:03:15):
You're gonna enjoy it while you're having your coffee.

Speaker 5 (01:03:17):
I'm just looking at Coffee News and they've really rebranded
as beij coffee News, Coffeews dot Coan's interview.

Speaker 4 (01:03:24):
It must still be making money because it's still being
it's a treasure. What does it do though? Ceremonials'm advertising.
That's how they made their money and then printed off.
And I'd love to meet the people behind coffin News.
Can we get can we get all? When I was family,
it sounds like the sort of interview that this top
forty radio station targeting younger females, I would love to hear.

(01:03:45):
I don't think people six ninety six would you like
us to interview the person.

Speaker 5 (01:03:49):
Behind coffee is about coffee news, About coffee news began
coffee News.

Speaker 4 (01:03:54):
I was born nineteen eighty nine.

Speaker 5 (01:03:56):
Coffee News originated in nineteen eighty eight in Winnipeg in Canada.

Speaker 4 (01:04:02):
Is international. It was the child of Gene Dome.

Speaker 5 (01:04:06):
An expert and not only advertising yourself, but super learning
techniques as well.

Speaker 4 (01:04:11):
Gene Dome, Gene Dome, Gene.

Speaker 5 (01:04:16):
D Au from Dom. Everything in Coffee News is first
priority to someone. They say, oh my god, did they
put it? But you are in Coffee News.

Speaker 4 (01:04:29):
They wouldn't, they would have did. We looked under the
did you know? And it was did you know?

Speaker 3 (01:04:35):
In France a century old law technically forbids kissing on
train platforms. It's meant to keep departures on schedules, since
longwoo buyers once delayed trains, though today most travelers overlook
it for one last kiss.

Speaker 4 (01:04:46):
They have a little tongue on the plate.

Speaker 3 (01:04:47):
And I said, I don't believe it, And so, being
the prick that I am, I went out to dispel
that Coffee News was claiming some sort of rival factoid giver.

Speaker 4 (01:04:58):
Did you fat? Checked?

Speaker 5 (01:04:59):
Coffee News is fat more than you do your own
fatal sometimes correct?

Speaker 3 (01:05:05):
And I guess why when I say something for fact
of the day that might not be one hundred percent,
I've got the wording wrong and it changes that people who.

Speaker 4 (01:05:11):
Are actually in the know on that subject. Yeah, you're wrong,
You're wrong.

Speaker 1 (01:05:14):
I'm just like, ah, I throw them up, man, what
are you going to do it? Full in a breaker
at eight twenty five. You've got a bit already for.

Speaker 4 (01:05:19):
Content, You've got a microplate. Let me know, I felt
I know why they did it.

Speaker 1 (01:05:24):
It felt so good to dispel it. So it's one
of those old laws that just kind of doesn't mean changed.

Speaker 4 (01:05:28):
It's never existed. It's never exists.

Speaker 11 (01:05:30):
Shit.

Speaker 1 (01:05:31):
It's claims that it was illegal to kiss on French
platforms since nineteen ten. It has been repeated all over
the internet. But it is what we call a factoid
and incorrect thing that has been repeated so often.

Speaker 4 (01:05:40):
People take it as fact. There's a contact us on here.
I'm going to let them bleame, let them know. So
it was never illegal to kiss on train platforms.

Speaker 3 (01:05:47):
However, French stations have officially designated kissing zones well, the
most famous being the.

Speaker 4 (01:05:53):
Mouth and in second place sicken place. So they've marked
off areas for good bye kisses that exist specifically to
keep the platform, keep the people kissing to that side
kissed with almost like a smokers are yes, so that

(01:06:14):
everybody else can keep moving both ways back and forward
outside it.

Speaker 1 (01:06:20):
I felt good to thrown coffin years. I wouldn't have
done if I knew were Gene.

Speaker 4 (01:06:25):
Was no longer with us.

Speaker 1 (01:06:26):
It's terrible now.

Speaker 5 (01:06:28):
The New Zealand one is based in Fungarde. Just up
North from Us really killed the Morningside fade.

Speaker 4 (01:06:36):
Rudy. Rudy's in charge there, the director, Rudy Cox. Yeah,
nine six nine six, please deep dove into coffin years.
I'll love it too. We need to get Rudy Cox
on the show. Someone said it's part too because you
did been kissing we three months ago. You found I felt.
I said to Shennon did we do kissing week? And
she was like, I don't know what it feels like
we did, but she had she had a look for me.

(01:06:56):
She did some research into the the this year. You
better make these fun facts. You better make them well.
The best part about this horrendous memory I've developed true
lack of sleep and probably a dependency on alcohol. To
be completely honest with you. If I may be honest
with you, you may is that everything's new and exciting
to me. He's Joe Barrymore in fifty First Days.

Speaker 1 (01:07:19):
Yeah, every day Adam Sandal all over again, you know,
And that's what I want to You've got a deep,
deep dive then for these kissing facts.

Speaker 4 (01:07:27):
Should I change Nah, it would be too late to
change it to coffee. You make it France French because
we're back. We just were in France and we could
in fact correct you on things, all things French. Just
we tray French.

Speaker 3 (01:07:40):
Now, let's say tomorrow it's not going to be kissing week,
but it will be somehow related to today's fact okay, trains,
let's face it, we've already done zones.

Speaker 1 (01:07:53):
Could it could be well known facts that aren't facts. Yes,
love that fat love that okaydoids fatdoids week, fatoids yep.

Speaker 4 (01:08:05):
Do you know there's a coffee news online for each
area in Auckland. I just looked at it. Nanny used
to love it, they say, r O P Nanna. I
hope Nana's up in heaven with Jane. Yeah, talking about.

Speaker 1 (01:08:15):
Coffee should be bedroom Jeane Jens like just leg the director.

Speaker 5 (01:08:20):
Of New Zealand Coffee News, Rudy Cox, will be getting
an email about fact the incorrect fact incorrect facts. Okay,
come on the show and apologize publicly.

Speaker 4 (01:08:31):
For the factoids. So today's fact for a factoid week.
Good as that. It's always said it's illegal to kiss
on French train platforms. It is not. There's just a
preferred zone for the smooth chin.

Speaker 7 (01:08:44):
Fact of the day, day day, day, day, dude, does.

Speaker 2 (01:09:00):
That M podcast Needwork plays that ms flesh.

Speaker 4 (01:09:04):
Forn and Hayley details and stuff. Can you access at work?
You wouldn't, but you could, but you wouldn't, and maybe
you have. We didn't do anything on her, but you
just had a little snooped in.

Speaker 3 (01:09:14):
Well, twenty five percent of reported privacy breach is now
apparently involved employee snooping. I think that's low, yeah, because
it's only one quarter of privacy breaches.

Speaker 1 (01:09:26):
Also thought, but like everything's a trail now, isn't it,
Like yeah, right, and I don't know what other risk
it is made up?

Speaker 3 (01:09:33):
So the other okay, I've had a quick little lock seat.
Seventy five percent can be attributed to human error. That's
where emails or things afforded to the wrong people.

Speaker 4 (01:09:43):
Love. This recently happens to me. I want to change
the insurance details, and I see, can you send me
a direct debit form? They send me somebody else's entire bank.
You've made a mistake here and they were like, oh
my god, forget that happened. I was like, okay, and surer,
I'll forget it, okay for a five percent yea for
a little bit of a disky diss.

Speaker 5 (01:10:00):
I love it when people like email you about something
they've been talking to someone else but they've forwarded the
message and.

Speaker 4 (01:10:07):
Well she's taken the person. But that's good stuff.

Speaker 3 (01:10:09):
So the other ones a cyber attacks and hacking, which
would be the massive one, loss of physical evidence or
paper records, that's leaving laptops behind without sufficient security on them,
USB sticks, physical.

Speaker 4 (01:10:21):
Files, leaving a clear file behind.

Speaker 1 (01:10:23):
If you found a USB stick in public, you let things.

Speaker 4 (01:10:27):
Getting rammed in my laptop immediately.

Speaker 1 (01:10:29):
I don't think anymore.

Speaker 4 (01:10:31):
I've got a little dongle. You can borrow a dongle
if you find.

Speaker 1 (01:10:34):
I don't have a dongle.

Speaker 3 (01:10:35):
And then basically the other ones are like people literally
got going after it, like physically getting into an office
and spice oh wow, because they're also saying that, like
the people snooping, it's not necessarily that they are just nosy,
it's that they're getting pressure, so blackmail to do it
for a like a criminal organization coersion. Yeah, there's been

(01:10:56):
a massive rising stuff being bribed, coerced or threatened by
outside parties e g. Organized crime to misuse databases at
their disposals, such as banks and insurance places, so like.

Speaker 5 (01:11:05):
A gang would come to you and be like, I
know that you have access to this, tell me otherwise
I'll shoot you in the forehead or something.

Speaker 3 (01:11:12):
Or his ten grand just have a look for me. Yeah,
you catch more catch more flies with honey than vinegar.
I wouldn't threaten to shoot in the face as much
as some unmarked bills. But yeah, I don't run a gang,
but if I did, it'd be a nice gang.

Speaker 1 (01:11:24):
And there's also the creepy side of it as well,
people looking up to like, you know, send messages.

Speaker 4 (01:11:29):
So yeah, there's been a few of those lately, including
going into database to be like she's hash half care
workers have done it. There's been a couple of police
examples accessing the thing for contact details and they're making
inappropriate connections.

Speaker 1 (01:11:41):
Would you be stoked if someone message to do and said.

Speaker 5 (01:11:43):
Cop flated and the cop was like, hey, I rested
you the day, but god, I was bewitched by your
hazel ice.

Speaker 4 (01:11:51):
What size shoe are you wearing?

Speaker 3 (01:11:52):
Yeah, sorry about that one hundred and fifty dollar fine
though I kind of had to you a speeding but
you know speed, you drive.

Speaker 1 (01:12:00):
At a sensible pace. Okay, so what you want to
know this morning right now.

Speaker 4 (01:12:05):
I won't Hunter a Dancing now loud. I don't know
who people are just going to ring it and I
openly say I have access to this, this and this, but.

Speaker 1 (01:12:12):
Well we don't want to know if they've just snooped
on it.

Speaker 4 (01:12:14):
It's just like what you what could you look at?
It's a bit.

Speaker 1 (01:12:20):
It's like if you worked at a bank, you'd be
able to look at people's salaries.

Speaker 5 (01:12:24):
I like, I think this all the time, was like
I I d like bank and stuff, being like I
just want to know how much they I just want
to know. You can't look well because there's a trail
and well there's a trailers. Well like my dad, you know,
he had a finance coming and you can go and
do credit checks and stuff.

Speaker 4 (01:12:38):
And I was like, oh do do this person? My
Dad's like how it works, there's a trail.

Speaker 5 (01:12:43):
You need to be able to justify why you're looking
up people's personal informations.

Speaker 1 (01:12:46):
Okay, well, whether or not you've snooped or not, maybe
you could. I ain't Hunter a Dance at m You
can give us a call tick through nine six nine six.
What do you have for details? What juicy tidbits. Do
you have access to it your work? Jessica, good morning.
What did you have a nose yet?

Speaker 11 (01:13:04):
We found a usp that had the entire recipe books
for a well known Indian change back to us.

Speaker 4 (01:13:13):
Oh yeah, yum, okay, y that's great. Grandma's bad chicken,
doesn't it.

Speaker 12 (01:13:21):
I had everything in it, and we thought we're going
to be an Indian.

Speaker 11 (01:13:25):
Flat for the rest of the year. Honestly, some of
the ingredients were so expensive and it was like book
would be like, take one spoon of this and you'd
be like, what's that and you have to go back
to another recipe.

Speaker 1 (01:13:41):
Sort of. They really had inside and out.

Speaker 4 (01:13:45):
Yeah, I am yeah. I was just wondering because some
of it, like this just wouldn't make any sense, right, Yeah.

Speaker 11 (01:13:53):
And there was lots of stuff that you wouldn't have
in your average flat.

Speaker 4 (01:13:56):
Yeah, but it was still very exciting, maybe to my
average flat extended to salt and pepper, maybe some hostels,
a budget pasta, I lovely budget tomatoes.

Speaker 1 (01:14:08):
And if it wasn't if you were making a carry
it's just in a jar from the supermarket.

Speaker 4 (01:14:15):
Amazing.

Speaker 1 (01:14:15):
Well that's exciting.

Speaker 4 (01:14:16):
Can I where did you find this USB stick?

Speaker 11 (01:14:20):
At the UNI Library.

Speaker 3 (01:14:23):
Someone was getting so much trouble for using because they
were pretty I borrowed it to jam and assignment on
before handing it on lost the family's bloody airline recipes.

Speaker 1 (01:14:32):
Jessica, Thank you, lou What did you have a nose yet?

Speaker 11 (01:14:36):
I'm good morning because I am driving loud loud.

Speaker 1 (01:14:43):
Here you lou.

Speaker 4 (01:14:46):
Am.

Speaker 11 (01:14:46):
So I'm on real estate, which means I can kind of.

Speaker 4 (01:14:48):
Look up where people live. Oh yeah, do you know what?

Speaker 1 (01:14:51):
We know people that have worked work in real estate
and they did this all the time. Will send it
to realize that agents. I know, But tell me more
about this property also lots of its public record as
well house public record.

Speaker 4 (01:15:01):
Yeah, it's all public, isn't.

Speaker 11 (01:15:03):
It it is? It's not true like sneaky. I feel
like it's all right.

Speaker 5 (01:15:07):
Yeah, okay, okay, if it is your real name, did
you abuse this and have a little look at like.

Speaker 4 (01:15:17):
Or famous?

Speaker 6 (01:15:18):
No.

Speaker 11 (01:15:19):
My best friend and her ex they like split up
a wee while ago, and we have fight. My eyes
went on for each other and basically like they split
up quite a while ago, maybe like a year ago now,
and I kept seeing her find my like this random
house nowhere there where she lives. So it's like a
real big like Google map store, and kind of figured

(01:15:39):
out the number of the house and I searched it
up and it was her ex boyfriend that just bought
a house.

Speaker 4 (01:15:44):
Okay, you've got a multi stage investigation there. I love that.

Speaker 7 (01:15:50):
Wow.

Speaker 4 (01:15:51):
Wow, she was going back. She wasn't mad, she was
more impressed with I'm really impressed by.

Speaker 1 (01:15:58):
And so what was the on the place?

Speaker 7 (01:16:01):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:16:01):
Was it was? It just been too much.

Speaker 11 (01:16:05):
I wouldn't have bought it.

Speaker 1 (01:16:08):
From agents. So good low, thank you, anonymous joins us anonymous.
You used to work at the council.

Speaker 6 (01:16:16):
Yes, I had access to everyone's like property values and
their rates and whether they had paid them. I did.

Speaker 4 (01:16:23):
I was lame. I was late this quarter. Wow, I
was late. I forgot.

Speaker 5 (01:16:27):
Oh I've paid them. Okay, I have paid them. I
was late though, got a reminder. I'm sorry, not a mouse.

Speaker 4 (01:16:33):
Did you abuse this privilege? Yes?

Speaker 6 (01:16:37):
Yeah, definitely.

Speaker 4 (01:16:38):
Why you have caught him anonymously correct?

Speaker 1 (01:16:42):
So you just look up people and you knew and
friends and stuff and see if they were on top.

Speaker 4 (01:16:46):
Of their rates.

Speaker 5 (01:16:48):
Yeah, yeah, parking fines stuff.

Speaker 4 (01:16:51):
I love this.

Speaker 12 (01:16:52):
I mean I wonder it was like real proud and
boasting that she'd bought a house, and then when I
looked it up, it was actually under her mum's name.

Speaker 5 (01:17:02):
Wow, it's just hard work, you know, scrimping, saving, not
getting coffees in your lap.

Speaker 4 (01:17:06):
MAT's mom mumbled, that's actually anonymous.

Speaker 1 (01:17:09):
Seek You keep your text coming in nine six nights,
eight hundred dollars at in?

Speaker 3 (01:17:13):
What details? What tidbits? What information can you access? I
work at a university and have access to all exam
and test results. Somebody said, every now and then I'll
see someone and I'll be like, how well are they doing?
Look id here? Yeah, if we snoop, we get fired.
But if someone interested comes across my workflow, I'm allowed
to look into them.

Speaker 4 (01:17:35):
Go yeah, because they're always in the news.

Speaker 1 (01:17:37):
I ad there was a news story a few months
ago about some people getting fired for for.

Speaker 4 (01:17:43):
Looking at Yeah. I know that's what they're saying. They
get fired. But if I come across the workflow, you
know what I'm saying. You can bring my you can
bring my thing. Have you got some snoop? And I
just had to look for there. This is called the
extra clean radio edit.

Speaker 1 (01:17:54):
Okay, great, because it's got nervous when it comes to snoop,
you've got the wrong thing. And somebody else said at
my old job, where you say access to all the
prime that's smooth, that's.

Speaker 4 (01:18:04):
The that's goods sound.

Speaker 1 (01:18:06):
It's not working speak.

Speaker 4 (01:18:10):
You're on volume map volume brother, that's just not playing idea.
It was a good idea.

Speaker 1 (01:18:18):
I don't know why you why you even bothered trying
to be because I just.

Speaker 4 (01:18:21):
Thought we were talking about what did you would be
really funny. I don't even know why are you bother trying.

Speaker 1 (01:18:27):
That's because when you try, you fail, fail, you fail
more times than you succeed.

Speaker 4 (01:18:32):
Yeah, that's actually a thing that's true.

Speaker 1 (01:18:35):
Anonymous to insists you can stupid exam results too. Yes, okay,
so if you just like I wonder how they're doing,
have a little look, but.

Speaker 11 (01:18:45):
I also into the exam results, all right.

Speaker 12 (01:18:49):
Okay, so I am actually a way too knows and.

Speaker 6 (01:18:54):
Stop stop looking at the students' names and just the ideas.

Speaker 4 (01:19:00):
Because one the names are too funny, and.

Speaker 6 (01:19:04):
I'm like, oh, this person got this.

Speaker 4 (01:19:06):
Mark in this examine, this mark in that examine, this one.

Speaker 3 (01:19:12):
So it was like, if I make these people numbers,
I'm going to stop caring. Yes, got your little soap
opera characters in your head because they became numbers. You
actually know the people.

Speaker 12 (01:19:24):
Well, I've grown up in.

Speaker 11 (01:19:25):
The city, so I actually do know some of these people.

Speaker 4 (01:19:27):
Oh okay, right, some of the people dumber than you thought.

Speaker 1 (01:19:32):
Yeah, yeah, I was right and that really clever. Yeah, Anonymous,
thank you. See again, I can be trusted with any database.
I'd be all through that some of this.

Speaker 4 (01:19:45):
I have an ex best friend who had heart issues.

Speaker 3 (01:19:48):
She said she'd have appointments at the hospital quite often,
garnered a lot of sympathy from people.

Speaker 4 (01:19:52):
I got a job as a book.

Speaker 3 (01:19:53):
And clerk at the hospital, and I was like, how
many appointments has she had? Hadn't been once it was
all alive, she got fired from a retail position for
stealing money Bell Gibson COMPULSI Bell Gibson Bell.

Speaker 5 (01:20:09):
How are you how I lived believing that I would
today be twenty three?

Speaker 4 (01:20:15):
Oh my god, that's crazy.

Speaker 3 (01:20:17):
And those people that like raise money for it. I
used to work at the I D and the n
z TA. You can see and somebody else said at
my old job, and you say, have access to all
of the Prime minister's health records, every prime minister or
just you go back and see what Michael Joseph Savage
was rocking for a BMI.

Speaker 4 (01:20:36):
Yeah, because they looked short and he had a gut?
Did he get Chlementia will Is Marrit Yeah? How to
do that?

Speaker 1 (01:20:42):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:20:43):
Wow, So every prime minister's health records. In my mind
it's for promises. It's probably boring, yeah, John, Yeah, slightly.

Speaker 1 (01:20:51):
Any men contributing to this phone or we're just going
to burn you nosey broads on our hands.

Speaker 4 (01:20:56):
That's what we do. Man, Oh my father in law.
You to have access to all the seas TV in
the city.

Speaker 1 (01:21:01):
Ye had access to the computer.

Speaker 4 (01:21:02):
Get log on.

Speaker 1 (01:21:03):
I've always thought that would be a fun, like just
thing to look at what.

Speaker 5 (01:21:07):
I throwing a party and being like no mis street
and like throwing it up on a projector yeah, just
having a party.

Speaker 4 (01:21:13):
People be like go to.

Speaker 1 (01:21:14):
Willis Strea and Wellington and there you go the motorway
lay the motorway cameras, said motor cameras.

Speaker 4 (01:21:20):
They'd be fun to watch, you know, some stuff happened
on the motorway cameras, crashes and stuff. Yeah, now can
we get a little update on the fee for final
well it's I called it.

Speaker 1 (01:21:28):
It's still zero wall eighty three minutes into the final Spain,
I will say, who I'm for Spain. They're looking good.

Speaker 4 (01:21:37):
What do you mean they're looking good?

Speaker 11 (01:21:38):
Well?

Speaker 4 (01:21:39):
No points, at no point.

Speaker 1 (01:21:40):
They're the ones taking the most shot at goals. You're
not giving the most messes.

Speaker 3 (01:21:46):
Argentina got a good goalkeeper or they're just gone a
bit wide the shots.

Speaker 4 (01:21:50):
I don't know. It's football worn.

Speaker 3 (01:21:51):
I don't know anything that's honestly so dreary but weird.
You guys have watched so much of it you still
know nothing about it.

Speaker 4 (01:21:59):
In the final, they're they're out, They're out. It's Spanish
team's a good looking team.

Speaker 5 (01:22:06):
Well where I was watching a little clip before of
the entertainment Shakia Justin Bieber bt S, who I might
have had a bit of a shoulder brush with just
a few days ago. It is huge right, they're part
of album and five Nights Stand in Vegas. iHeart festival,

(01:22:30):
huge band, mad fans.

Speaker 4 (01:22:33):
I think I saw one in the flash you saw
as I clocked a BTTs. Did you say that one?
J John?

Speaker 5 (01:22:45):
So, I don't don't worry. Give us the week and
then I'll stop mentioning that I was in Paris.

Speaker 4 (01:22:50):
But I was in Paris and.

Speaker 5 (01:22:52):
I there's a famous hotel there where the La Las stay. Yeah,
don't worry, I was not staying there. It's called the
Shangri La and it's in it's in the heart of Paris,
and there's a very famous cocktail bar, very expensive, and
I was like, I want one. I was gonna go
and I want to try, like this high as one
of the best cocktail bars in the world.

Speaker 4 (01:23:12):
And I was like, let's go. Pull up outside the Shangri.

Speaker 5 (01:23:15):
La Darling, and there is a mob and there's like
it's massive, like when it was old Parisian building's massive,
and there's a mob and they're behind like a gate
and there's security everywhere at this driveway and there's a
blacked out suv in the driveway.

Speaker 1 (01:23:32):
I pull up.

Speaker 4 (01:23:32):
I'm like, bloody hell, someone's.

Speaker 5 (01:23:34):
Here, you know, like someone's famous, someone famous must be
the Shangrila Darling, and so I'm trying to get a
vibe and I go in and I say, excuse him
what I said, Who's who's this? And the other woman
there was Australia. She said, I don't know. I just
saw this crowd and I'm just waiting to see.

Speaker 1 (01:23:53):
Such a human thing to do, I know.

Speaker 4 (01:23:55):
I was like, damn it.

Speaker 5 (01:23:55):
And then so anyway, I had a boxing so I
was like, gotta go. Gotta tell you, it's very easy
to get into the Shangluela, just going and I was like,
where's the cocktail bows in there? And you go and
the guy said oh. And there was another guy at
the door and he said, let me take here. It's
very nice french Man. And he was like, I'll take
you to the cocktail bar. And we're walking in and
I said, what's all the kerfuffle outside? And he said, oh,
we've got a VIP guest staying. And then I think

(01:24:17):
they drew to be leaving soon, so bit of a crowd,
and I said who is it? And he said, you know,
I genuinely can't say that's you know, guessed confidential information
and all that kind of stuff. And I was like, absolutely,
I wouldn't even pry. Actually doesn't en bother me. I'm
not even interested in here for the cocktails. And I
go into the cocktail bar and then the way it
comes over and I ordered something that honestly tasted like

(01:24:37):
an ashtray that I over smoked it.

Speaker 4 (01:24:41):
Ah, yeah, yeah, you know this this cigarette?

Speaker 1 (01:24:44):
Was there a French cigarette in there?

Speaker 4 (01:24:46):
I don't know. It could have been that I just
had had one a French cigarette.

Speaker 5 (01:24:50):
Anyway, So I'm like pushing the guy to be like,
who who is there?

Speaker 4 (01:24:55):
Who is there? Well, we can't say, but you know
it's a it's a band bands here, and I was like,
who is here? I'm using chat YOUBT, like, who's in
Paris at the Shangry Bloody Lah? Who's in Paris at
Shangry La? Nothing? Nothing? Nothing, nothing nothing.

Speaker 5 (01:25:07):
And it turns out, by finally researching, I discovered playing
in Paris that night it starred De France.

Speaker 4 (01:25:14):
BTS, so that makes sense. It was all girls.

Speaker 5 (01:25:17):
Outside there we go and there's two exits out, one
that is where the crowd is and one that is
the way that we came in.

Speaker 4 (01:25:25):
And so I'm sitting there enjoying.

Speaker 5 (01:25:26):
My cigarette cocktail and I see there's two bodyguards come
by and a shorter, very beautifully skinned, sharp black head BTS.
BTS remember swift past the door, I think, so he
was like shrouded a bit like that, and I was like,

(01:25:47):
I reckon, I just BETS, I reckon the same as
one of your bts is yeah right, yeah, I know,
so pretty I'm basically met one.

Speaker 4 (01:26:00):
Well we're both at the Shang Grilla Darling.

Speaker 1 (01:26:02):
You and behind the scenes behind me you saw behind
the scenes.

Speaker 5 (01:26:05):
Yeah, Well he was there staying and I locked it up,
and it's like the cheapest room was something like three
thousand euro a night. Now I imagine there in a
that's this is where all the Odyssey cast just were,
you know, they were all staying in there and.

Speaker 4 (01:26:20):
Stuff just missed them. Just a bugger. Anybody said left
to be so high.

Speaker 1 (01:26:26):
I've heard great things you just said in the emacs AG.

Speaker 4 (01:26:32):
Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:26:32):
So he was there staying at probably, you know, ten
thousand euros a night, and I was I had one
thirty euro cocktail. I went, oh, we've got to leave.
But basically I met a member of BETS. Can't tell
you which one or you know, but it's pretty close.

Speaker 2 (01:26:47):
Play Ms fledged Vaughn and Haley.

Speaker 5 (01:26:50):
Now it is on July second, when we were away.
It marked the halfway mark of the year of twenty
twenty six. Yes, it's going fast, having a blasts. That's
that's sort of where I'm at that's where you're at,
going fasts, having a blasts. But it did made me
think about, like where am I at? Like because I'm

(01:27:11):
doing a bit of a big reset.

Speaker 4 (01:27:13):
Just say it's up.

Speaker 5 (01:27:14):
But I have said this a few times this year.
I'm about to get pretty hot pretty soon. Right, I'm
not champing. I'm against it until i'm not. But I'm
cleaning up the diet. You know, I've been eating pasta
and burgers and all sorts of things and drinking all
over the holiday bloody who goes sprits is left, right
and center? And when I and since my separation last

(01:27:35):
year and thoroughly in Europe, maybe taking the purse out
of the party.

Speaker 4 (01:27:39):
Darts a little bit right.

Speaker 5 (01:27:41):
The occasional cigarette with a couple of drinks turned into
a little bit more over the last six months. And
I know that it's bad and it's terrible, and also
it's really unsustainable for my voice.

Speaker 4 (01:27:50):
My voice is my tool, it's my craft. And singers smoke,
I know, and I've been from upa she's always rocking
a drry and her instagram. Do you know, I really
feel it?

Speaker 5 (01:28:01):
This weekend, for example, Friday and Saturday in christ Church
I'm performing four shows in christ Church over the weekend.
Very excited, but I always feel at the end my
voice is not where it should be and like the
party arts don't help. So I'm like resetting. And then
when I found it was like the middle of the year,
I was like, hell yeah, little mid year.

Speaker 3 (01:28:17):
Reset sort of a half year's resolution, yeah, not a
New Year's Yeah, And.

Speaker 5 (01:28:21):
Want I wanted to know if anyone else is going
to take this opportunity to mid year reset a mid
year resolution of sorts. Maybe it is the same as
their New Year's resolution, which they've just realized it's July.

Speaker 4 (01:28:33):
Okay, I'm going to don't do anything. I've got a
stat here.

Speaker 1 (01:28:36):
Okay, only about nine to twelve percent of people successfully
keep their New Year's resolutions for the entire year.

Speaker 4 (01:28:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:28:43):
The dropout rate is steep, about twenty three percent in
the first week, yeah, and forty percent by the end
of January. Eighty percent abandoned their goals by February.

Speaker 4 (01:28:53):
Do you think people are fe aiming too high with
their New Year's resolutions? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Like
now just pause because Won and Shannon jumping up.

Speaker 5 (01:29:01):
I know there was a shot at goal but oh
not the girls celebrated too early. Hans down still nil
all nil all, but yes maybe because that's the thing.
It's such a failure, and maybe you like me a guy. Right,
we've got six months left of the year. What do
we want to reset? Maybe you've already got one in mind,
and maybe listen to your friends switch and how you

(01:29:22):
reminded you that you didn't do anything with your New
Year's resolution, and you're like, I'm going to reset.

Speaker 1 (01:29:27):
Want us to know, right, I'll wait one hundred times
at end text through nine six nine sex.

Speaker 5 (01:29:32):
This is at the motivation station, z m Okay, I
want to know what is your mid year resolution? Maybe
you've just realized it now, or you, like me, are
resetting and fear well the party darts from Sprou's life.
We'll see unless she's partying, I mean the party darts
and non party times.

Speaker 4 (01:29:48):
Wait, so you've just reset your text A nine six
nine six what is your mid year resolution?

Speaker 6 (01:29:59):
So by New Year's resolution from like January, I went
down a rabbit hole of like how much pizza sides
was put into your food?

Speaker 5 (01:30:06):
So I was like, brilliant, I'm going to start my
own garden.

Speaker 2 (01:30:08):
I'm going to plan my winter.

Speaker 6 (01:30:10):
Garden, yes, and I was.

Speaker 11 (01:30:12):
I was still on that. You know, I need to
get around to It's probably getting a little bit late,
but you know, there's all heaps of time and then.

Speaker 12 (01:30:19):
Planning my summer garden.

Speaker 4 (01:30:22):
May I do this time.

Speaker 1 (01:30:23):
I'm going to hit that. I'm gonna have that spring springs.

Speaker 5 (01:30:25):
Are not so far away, like a good time to garden, right, yay.
But in order to be ready for that spring garden
in winter, you've got to build the garden, right, You've
got to heaven ready to go.

Speaker 4 (01:30:38):
It also as.

Speaker 1 (01:30:40):
You're going to get your summer garden already, and then
you're gonna need to get rid of the bugs and stuff,
so you're pretty gonna need to have some natural ones.

Speaker 5 (01:30:50):
Yeah, I love me some good merrygolds if it's going
to make.

Speaker 4 (01:30:54):
You feel any bit of Arabia. I do have a
winter garden, and I'm really waiting for those cabbages to
come in. And in the meantime, cabbages are a record
low of ninety nine cents of cabbage.

Speaker 1 (01:31:05):
It's just like, yeah, you know, it's fun. I find
it relaxing. I do it for the therapy more than anything.
The old winter garden.

Speaker 11 (01:31:10):
Can you keep the two tomatoes are so worse, you know,
like one hundred odd bucks.

Speaker 4 (01:31:14):
I put it.

Speaker 1 (01:31:15):
Yeah, you've got if you if you're running your own
vegetable god, and you've got to stop thinking time is
money because you'll be out there for hours and you're like.

Speaker 4 (01:31:22):
I could have I could have just got.

Speaker 1 (01:31:25):
Some tomatoes for nothing. You're having good like with the
summer garden. That can be your resolution. Kisses message. And
she's six months alcohol free now, and make it twelve
to try that.

Speaker 4 (01:31:37):
You should try getting a different opinion. But happy for you, Yeah,
happy for you. I've given her party darts one step
at a time.

Speaker 3 (01:31:44):
My friends, somebody else said the gym called them on
Friday to see if they were okay.

Speaker 4 (01:31:53):
And you eat just that you're paying and turning up.
I reckon, I'm on the verge of a gym. Call
I'm going today, just right, call me in. How long
has it been.

Speaker 1 (01:32:01):
It's been a little while.

Speaker 4 (01:32:02):
Okay, I didn't do it. I didn't do much over
the holidays, do you know what I was?

Speaker 5 (01:32:05):
So today's day one back in the gym for me,
and I think I've already mentally decided I'm not going
to go.

Speaker 1 (01:32:12):
What did you call me before? Because I think I
can squeeze it all in with time.

Speaker 4 (01:32:16):
O Tidd's Optimist's Optimist's optimist. I'm it's optimist. I'm going
to be able to fit in everything I want to
do today. Yeah, we'll see, we'll see.

Speaker 5 (01:32:26):
Someone said Matliki, which happened over our break as well,
is the star of aspiration. So it's actually this is
like a time to do this right. Reset so they
do a midyear resolution rather than bringing.

Speaker 4 (01:32:40):
It back to the stars. Fletch, have you got anything
you want to work on your piece of ship? No,
I'm all good. And you want to rain in after Europe?
Down on after Europe to get some people who know you.
The weekend is some people that don't. And they were like,
so when does Flitch get back. I'm like Sunday, back

(01:33:00):
into work Monday. How does he do it? I was like,
what else does he do? Literally? Nothing else?

Speaker 1 (01:33:06):
The man has no dependence.

Speaker 4 (01:33:07):
God bless you.

Speaker 1 (01:33:09):
Financial in the morning, Oh my god, people had kids everywhere.

Speaker 4 (01:33:14):
My god. I went to one restaurant.

Speaker 5 (01:33:17):
There was a family there that they're obviously like, you know,
like adults were family members.

Speaker 4 (01:33:22):
They had seven kids, amongst them, and guess what. They
were all American. Guess what? I dug my fingernail into
one of their backs. But I wasn't going to share
that on radio.

Speaker 1 (01:33:32):
Wait what were they were? They being noisy?

Speaker 10 (01:33:34):
Dude?

Speaker 5 (01:33:35):
They were being so noisy and so American, and they
kept kind of backing into my table and I was like, ah,
excuse me, can you move?

Speaker 4 (01:33:48):
Can you move? Parents are off having their bloody But
I said, can you excuse me? Can you stop doing that?
Started feeding pigeons by my feet, and so I tried
to tap one of the back ignored me. So man,
I tapped him. I got long fingernails and he felt
it right. But it's fine America.

Speaker 3 (01:34:06):
In America, there's a kid telling the story about the
lady who poked him in the back.

Speaker 4 (01:34:09):
He's gonna the last years.

Speaker 1 (01:34:12):
Shut him upwork plain Swawn and Halley and Spain have
scored the first goal in the World Cup final.

Speaker 4 (01:34:23):
That's who we were.

Speaker 5 (01:34:24):
And let's let's all sing the if you if you
missed it earlier, the Spanish national anthem, Spain, I'm going.

Speaker 4 (01:34:33):
To play forever, gonna kick a balls.

Speaker 1 (01:34:39):
So it's an overtime, overtime.

Speaker 5 (01:34:43):
Just making your own rules. You can't do that is
the length of the game, unless it's not, in which
case it can double, and.

Speaker 1 (01:34:49):
It'll be more, and it's drawn more, and then it'll
be there's some sad looking.

Speaker 4 (01:34:54):
Oh, look at those sad aunt Gentonian a cuddle in
a case shoulder rum. They saw in sad and saw
those the people and the Argentinians and the and the crowd.

Speaker 5 (01:35:06):
They looked very sad. We've got again, We've got to
get back. Overseas well.

Speaker 1 (01:35:11):
Speaking of overseas, some stants out of Australia showing that
gen zs are spending an increasing amount of money before
they holiday. So before they even step foot on the plane,
I get this. They're spending money on how they look.

Speaker 4 (01:35:27):
I get this.

Speaker 5 (01:35:28):
And so then they describe are ripping out every pube.
We are getting a tam because we're not arriving in
Spain white.

Speaker 4 (01:35:35):
We're getting fresh here.

Speaker 5 (01:35:37):
We're getting new nails, we're getting our toes done, we're
getting everything done.

Speaker 4 (01:35:40):
And then we're buying new unders, new socks, new beds,
new us.

Speaker 1 (01:35:43):
So it's gen Z and younger millennials more likely to
spend hundreds and sometimes thousands before their holidays then you
end up.

Speaker 4 (01:35:50):
In Spain, bloody, pupiliss and penniless. That's a great show,
pupiliss and penniless. So they naked and afraid, they droppers, and.

Speaker 1 (01:36:00):
You're publiss and p money. So more than seven and
ten travelers seventy two percent spend money on beauty or
esthetic treatments before a trip, one hundred more than three
times the rate of boomers. They're just tuning up, like
they've given up.

Speaker 5 (01:36:14):
Right, We've got a couple of gen z as. Do
you guys do the full kit and kaboodle groom before
you go away?

Speaker 4 (01:36:20):
Honestly, no, I don't think that I do. Maybe I
used to be a care a bit more like maybe
dim my hair, make sure it's freezing game. She's given
it all up. I mean I went to Queens Down
of the break. I needed the hair on my legs.
It was freezing. You a walk explaining cat shann Dog.
Do you do a special groom?

Speaker 7 (01:36:37):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (01:36:37):
I love the idea of being high maintenance, to be
low maintenance thing out of the way before I go,
and then I can enjoy my time. I was on
a farm, so you know, like I showered before I
went and then I showered after there was no hot
water on the farm.

Speaker 4 (01:36:50):
I was not doing it.

Speaker 1 (01:36:51):
What do you mean there's no holder on the farm.

Speaker 6 (01:36:53):
It's a whole thing. Man. It was so cold, it
was like negative five at midday and I was moaturable.

Speaker 4 (01:36:58):
Wow, so I just where was the eighteen hundred? Were
I actually time travel? Were you wearing crampons? Guys? I
didn't know what crampons were until like two hours muddy
and cold on the farm.

Speaker 6 (01:37:11):
She made guys for my birthday in a year, can
I have some crampoon?

Speaker 4 (01:37:16):
Yeah? Yeah, what are you like a sevens?

Speaker 1 (01:37:19):
You're adjustable?

Speaker 6 (01:37:20):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:37:20):
Yeah, that sounds good.

Speaker 6 (01:37:21):
Thing.

Speaker 1 (01:37:22):
So there's some influencer has a phono beside the actor traump.

Speaker 4 (01:37:26):
We didn't look that hot. And also all the people
out I was going to say, there's no people you know.

Speaker 5 (01:37:32):
Fletch and I got recognized at the Arc to triumphant
Paris by two lovely body listeners.

Speaker 6 (01:37:36):
Wow, can I one up you please? I met some
wonderful listeners that asked for a photo in Bellcluther.

Speaker 4 (01:37:43):
That's way better than the arct To Triumph in Paris, right,
they caught it. The Paris of the South.

Speaker 6 (01:37:49):
I was at the one restaurant in Belcluther. There's only one,
and some listeners came over and they said, we had
to check your instagram to see it was like on
the South Island.

Speaker 4 (01:37:57):
They're like, what are you doing in bell Cluther And
then they are for photos.

Speaker 5 (01:38:00):
You said, freezing my bloody tips off. I've got no
bloody crampons. I'm slightly everywhere.

Speaker 4 (01:38:07):
You've got some crampons I can borrow.

Speaker 1 (01:38:09):
If you like today's podcast, tell your friends you could
