you're the f.
Speaker 3 (00:33):
POS terminal will know it's you. Will you use your
face or a or there was a thumb print face
scans on the table. Yeah, and it's like, yeah, that's them.
Speaker 2 (00:44):
But Jesus, you're like kind up to my iPad. The
angle it's at on it sort of stand. It's like,
don't recognize your face, so you have to be like, yeah,
who's that fatty fortune?
Speaker 4 (00:54):
Yeahs, you've got a blow out again.
Speaker 2 (00:56):
Nothing was when you wake up and try to unlock
your phone and your phone doesn't know it's you.
Speaker 4 (01:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:00):
It's not a great start to the day.
Speaker 4 (01:02):
Is it.
Speaker 3 (01:02):
So?
Speaker 4 (01:02):
Wre's my beautiful owner, my beautiful young old two.
Speaker 3 (01:06):
Years agffee i'd miss yeah, yeah, why are you crying?
Speaker 2 (01:09):
What about the top six otherwise the f POS terminal? Well, no,
it's you okay, next on the show though. There's a
little problem. Yes, there is in Vocago City Council.
Speaker 5 (01:17):
You know that.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
I've been dealing with the pooh, the poos.
Speaker 3 (01:22):
And the pool well a long time ago.
Speaker 4 (01:25):
That was it last time.
Speaker 3 (01:26):
I didn't they have a few more repeat visitors of
the code brown.
Speaker 4 (01:29):
I didn't get my finger on that one. Over the summer.
I just plugged.
Speaker 2 (01:32):
Well, this is another water based situation. Oh no, the
councilor to deal with. But at the other end of
the the ECHI spectrum almost too clean, correct Amando.
Speaker 1 (01:46):
The ZM podcast network. What's on ZMS? Fletch, Vaughn and
Hayley and Hamilton.
Speaker 2 (01:52):
We had a famous fountain outside the now shut down.
Speaker 3 (01:56):
They shut down one of the theaters there because it
was an earthquake risk. Oh yeah, I don't know. I
haven't been around that area lately.
Speaker 2 (02:02):
To see over the road from Siddon Park the Fletcher
on the crooked Ground, Yes, I know that there and
outside there was a fountain that represented a dandylion.
Speaker 3 (02:11):
You're familiar with the dan it make a wels. It
looked like that. Now when you put when you put
dishwash powder in that thing or dishwashing liquid sunlight, that
thing went off because it sprayed the water out to
make it look like dandylions. So we're just foam. And
(02:33):
the Hamilton City Council was like, stop it.
Speaker 4 (02:35):
We had the same that happened and on Dixon Street yeap,
just the end of the plays the ponds there the
Bucket fountain, Buket fountain. Wantn't foam very well though, No
a fountain.
Speaker 3 (02:50):
Yeah, the pucket found it. No, I'm not going to
say it.
Speaker 4 (02:52):
No, that thing's been vandalized more times than it hasn't.
Speaker 2 (02:55):
And producer Shennon said that there thing of choice to
put in water was custard posted powder.
Speaker 4 (03:04):
That's a ball like to get out Shanda.
Speaker 3 (03:06):
Where was this Shannon?
Speaker 5 (03:07):
So this was in East Aokland, but everyone would travel
to Mission Bay Fountain and put custard powder. Proud to
say I never did it, but I did find it funny.
Speaker 3 (03:16):
It would take a lot of custa powder. But also
that's I feel like dishwashing would clean the fountain and
eventually die down, but casted powders forever.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
Well, the reason we discussed this is because in the canoe, I'm.
Speaker 3 (03:27):
Getting the story. I'm going to regional.
Speaker 4 (03:30):
Content, A long journey that's happening.
Speaker 3 (03:33):
Yeah, what's your found?
Speaker 2 (03:35):
Actually that was where I was getting to nine six
nine Sex. What was the water feature in your town?
They gotta they've got a red hot arm.
Speaker 3 (03:41):
Sometimes all needs to go back to broadcasting school.
Speaker 2 (03:45):
Take the time, craft the story. So it's in the
cargo that have released. Oh an actual cost we got
We're there.
Speaker 3 (03:53):
A cross time Revember Cargo's Garla Street fountain.
Speaker 4 (03:56):
Where's that?
Speaker 1 (03:57):
I love as on?
Speaker 4 (04:01):
Actually if me I deserve that, you do deserve that?
I deserve that. No, that's fair.
Speaker 2 (04:07):
So that's saying it's approximately one hundred dollars each time
to sort it out, and over the course of the
year they had to do it fifty I thought it
would be more time alone and they're paying a contract
to maybe or just have to pahake for water. They
neutralize the fountain involving gallons of vinegar and staff time.
Speaker 3 (04:27):
Would negate it? I guess I.
Speaker 4 (04:29):
Think it's cheap if you're just getting your white cleaning vinegar.
Speaker 3 (04:31):
You go, y, yeah, five, that's a cheap web.
Speaker 2 (04:35):
And that's the same white vinegar that you're going to
be slopping in a sort of a dressing or anything
as well too, So that's not gonna fancy vinegar. So
staff time and a few gallons of vinegar to get
it done a hundred bucks a time.
Speaker 3 (04:47):
That's cheap.
Speaker 4 (04:47):
What's the fountain crowd in the classical? I've gotten the
name of the australa g A l A Garlas straight, so.
Speaker 3 (04:55):
They reckon want fine founds of the years year because
it's doing people are doing it once a week. It's
an gushy fountain. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (05:02):
People did this a lot of Nelson. Nelson as well,
he's got good fountain anywhere fountain there in the middle
of the road over from the from the basketball the
Trafalgar Center. I think there's a couple from memory and
they always got foamed.
Speaker 4 (05:20):
There is a photo of the in the cargo fountain foamed.
Speaker 3 (05:24):
Oh that's a good fountain and it's good. I don't know,
I don't work in fountains.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
Yeah, embarrassed to say my fountain knowledge is somewhat lacking.
But could you just leave it until it because you
know when you're doing the dishes and you example, because
you're like, I might need to do some more dishes.
Speaker 3 (05:41):
Make hours later and all the bubbles are gone.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
Maybe not because it's still in the water, isn't it. Yeah,
the water just circulates training it's going to get to
a point where it doesn't bubble forever, but.
Speaker 4 (05:54):
It would dilute into the water and the water is
all yuck.
Speaker 2 (05:58):
Memorial Park fountain and Tyrong is getting I know that
one that would out. Yeah, okay, we're not encouraging it. No,
they do love seeing it.
Speaker 4 (06:09):
Say, there's one house near mine, like when I go
for a little neighborhood walkies, and it's a very like
understated home. There's a normal humble Kiwi home, but they
have a massive fountain on the front lawn like it's
a mansion.
Speaker 3 (06:23):
Okay, wish it SuDS it?
Speaker 4 (06:26):
Whereabouts is this down past the school?
Speaker 3 (06:31):
I was just wondering, it's in your neighborhood.
Speaker 2 (06:33):
Literally, but it's properties.
Speaker 3 (06:37):
You're not going, Oh, okay, we're not. Of course we're not.
Of course we're not there. Somebody said I knew a.
Speaker 2 (06:43):
Guy that worked in parks and he said issues whist
people drop the box or the bottle into it and
that can get stuck in the pump.
Speaker 4 (06:50):
Oh that's to take your blessed counter when you were
vandalizing recycle.
Speaker 1 (07:00):
The z M podcast network.
Speaker 6 (07:04):
Plays z MS flesh Worn and Haley from.
Speaker 3 (07:07):
The unmoderated comment section. This is the top sex.
Speaker 2 (07:13):
Ooh, that's whom what palm vein technology is, and it
is one of the new ways f BOS terminals and
your f BOS card will chit chat to each other
and know that it's definitely you.
Speaker 3 (07:23):
It's not someone that's stolen your This is the future
of us paying.
Speaker 2 (07:28):
Palm vein technology is an advanced biometric authentication system that
identifies individuals using the unique vascular patterns beneath their skin.
Speaker 3 (07:35):
So it's not taking your fingerprints, it's scaring your veins.
Speaker 2 (07:39):
Oh oh, so our veins are like a fingerprint. Yeah,
we all have vein structure and they're all unique.
Speaker 4 (07:46):
But how unlike a fingerprint, which is easily documented, How
do people know my vein structure?
Speaker 3 (07:53):
No one's had a lot.
Speaker 2 (07:54):
I guess you'd sends you a new card, You face
your phone and then vein structure and struggle set it up.
I'm the ones our facial recognition and stuff. Everyo's New
Zealand is launching you biometric capable payment terminals developed by
a manufacturer called Veraphone.
Speaker 3 (08:10):
So what does mean you don't need you f post
card anymore?
Speaker 5 (08:13):
Now?
Speaker 2 (08:13):
You still need your foss or even your phone because
I'm loving now. When I go out, I hardly take
my wallets because it's all on my phone. Is still
being taken on payWave fees yeah, payWave pay two and
a half percent.
Speaker 3 (08:29):
Yeah. And Australia. Australia has passed some laws.
Speaker 2 (08:34):
I didn't have it during COVID and no banks went
under no doing Okay, they're doing fine, they're still doing okay.
Speaker 3 (08:41):
I mean they're struggling like the.
Speaker 4 (08:43):
Yeah, struggling like the supermarkets still.
Speaker 3 (08:44):
Making billions of dollars.
Speaker 2 (08:46):
Yeah, yeah, not billions. So you know, I go into
a real spiral. The other night, I woke up at
two am and I was just like.
Speaker 3 (08:53):
We can't be without a bank. That's not fair.
Speaker 5 (08:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (08:56):
I couldn't turn that for an hour or so, No,
I can't. We're turning into boomers all of it. I
love it. I am loving it.
Speaker 2 (09:05):
I found myself out loud, saying she's not wearing enough
for how cold it is the other day about it, Yeah,
about a teen and a like skirt or something. God,
she must be cold. She's not wearing enough. She's forgotten
half of her bloody outfit. Yeah, it's three degrees overnight tonight.
Because that's another thing about becoming a boomer. You know
what temperature is going to be overnight?
Speaker 3 (09:22):
Yeah you do.
Speaker 2 (09:23):
Anyway, I've got the top six ways. The EPOS can't
and the terminal all know it's you through biometric scanning.
Number six on the list, your sweet salty tears at
the supermarket. As you realize you're paying thirty dollars a
kg for months, it'll be.
Speaker 3 (09:35):
Like me recognized tear. That's the tear channel.
Speaker 2 (09:39):
It always goes down the side and then goes under
his nose, and then he'll go and the tear will
got up his nose.
Speaker 3 (09:45):
Number five on the list of the top six. Otherwise,
the FBOs card and terminal.
Speaker 2 (09:48):
No, it's you, your stupid grin when you buy more
clothes that you'll never wear. Yeah, yeah, I'll make you
on a ban on a band yourself.
Speaker 3 (09:59):
Yeah, clothing band. How's that going?
Speaker 4 (10:01):
Gotta put in your blazer on Monday.
Speaker 2 (10:04):
Hey, no, it's perfect, perfect, And that's blazer number.
Speaker 3 (10:11):
Gotcha. All timeless for your comedy show. Sure, sure for
text purposes, Sure sure, in fact, for text purposes. It
can't be worn anywhere else. No, it's a costume.
Speaker 4 (10:23):
It's strictly a bizarre costume.
Speaker 2 (10:25):
Number four on the list of the top six. Other
ways your fos cardon terminal knows it's you. Your face
to look off utter disbelief is your tiny can't now
costs one hundred dollars to fill up with ninety one?
Speaker 3 (10:34):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (10:34):
Yeah, though the other day I filled up mine and
I was like, Okay, it didn't feel as bad for
a bit.
Speaker 3 (10:40):
But apparently we're going back. Yeah, we're going back above
three dollars a later. Yeah, Iran still happening. It turns out, Yeah,
you need to find some peace there. It'd be good
to find some peace peace in the Middle East.
Speaker 4 (10:52):
I think we'll be looking for some peace in the
Middle East for some time now, right.
Speaker 2 (10:55):
Number three on the list of the top six are
other ways you have the fos card internal arts you
have how sweaty your palms are as you buy vegetables
that you realize will probably just end it rotting in
the bottom of your fridge. Yeah, a little bit of
veggie gilt, a little bit yep scanned. Yeah, that's in
sweaty palms.
Speaker 3 (11:10):
Payment accepted, Payment accepted, Good luck using a whole head
of salary.
Speaker 4 (11:15):
I just wanted a couple of nibs. But I'm not
paying for the prepaid cup stuff.
Speaker 2 (11:18):
I'm not bad cut stuff, and I don't need another
plastic bag. No, there was the boomer toone. Sorry, you
guys want to.
Speaker 4 (11:25):
Go thods on a hit of salery.
Speaker 3 (11:27):
Now that's what I'm ok.
Speaker 4 (11:29):
You know what I mean, because I just use it.
Speaker 2 (11:30):
By the way, I'm growing some celery in the garden
far more than I will ever use and an entire millennia,
So please cery, I like it in my juice and
go okay, teamwork. Communism, I think that's what you just said.
Speaker 3 (11:43):
Is communism? Communism? Communism?
Speaker 2 (11:46):
You think communists number two on the less of the
top six. Otherwise the FOS card and terminal. No, it's you,
the dilation of your pupils as you panic to wait to.
Speaker 3 (11:54):
See if there's enough money in your account.
Speaker 4 (11:56):
Oh yeah, that thing where you know sometimes you're like hey, way, Well,
and you leave being like, there's money, I've got this,
and sometimes you just did it linger.
Speaker 3 (12:04):
You're like, I always.
Speaker 2 (12:06):
Linger, even when I know there's money, I'm always still lingering.
Speaker 3 (12:10):
I'm like, oh, because even now and then you get
one of them network faults.
Speaker 4 (12:15):
Yeah, you don't want them chasing you down the street.
Speaker 3 (12:17):
No, that's embarrassing.
Speaker 4 (12:20):
I just thought it's gone. I thought it was quite
fun to share.
Speaker 2 (12:22):
You had a thought and it was gone. Because you've
got an open vivid in your hand that you keeps.
Speaker 3 (12:25):
The fletch might want to you've got a whiteboard mark.
Speaker 4 (12:30):
Hang on, no, hang on, well we're just talking about
it's gone down.
Speaker 3 (12:35):
Walking away lingering by the foss saw a great funny meme,
didn't I see it to you?
Speaker 4 (12:39):
Guys. I was like, it's crazy that car decline. There's
like ten million dollars in that account. You know you're
money And no, no, no, try again. I think there's literally
ten million dollars.
Speaker 2 (12:50):
In there and number one of the top six other
ways the f boss card and terminal. No, it's you,
the tone and your voices, he said, good a mate
to the guy at the boo shop. For the third
time this week. Yeah, just they usually said to me.
The other day, I was like, Christ, this is a problem. Now, yeah,
I recognize that it's a problem. You don't want the
usual atta kebab store is fine, or a bakery, but
(13:13):
a lot.
Speaker 3 (13:13):
Of liquor store. How's France?
Speaker 4 (13:15):
How was the Yeah you got a top up of
the eighteen hundred coconut tequila. Anything else? Your favorite proseccas
in the fridge?
Speaker 3 (13:23):
Oh yeah, special on it.
Speaker 7 (13:25):
Wow, that's today Stop six the ZM podcast Network Lay z.
Speaker 6 (13:29):
MS, flesh Worn and Haley Well shocking news.
Speaker 3 (13:32):
This is terrible.
Speaker 4 (13:32):
This is one of the freshest studies I've come across.
It's literally got completed last week.
Speaker 3 (13:37):
In London town.
Speaker 4 (13:40):
Where some people from the initial washroom hygiene company swabbed
fifty e bikes like Lime bikes and Lime scooters on
the handlebars London don't know over the course of just
two weeks. No wrapping up last week. Oh I love
a swab, love a swamp. I feel how many billions?
(14:02):
How many billions of pathogens? We've got some pathogens. We're
talking We're talking to units.
Speaker 3 (14:08):
Oh okay, I'm talking to units, not Flitch.
Speaker 4 (14:11):
The reason this is aimed at you is because you
take the most amount of limescooters. I've even known you
scoop to work, you scoop sometimes from work.
Speaker 3 (14:19):
Most have been around town.
Speaker 2 (14:20):
Yeah, but you know if I've got something on scooter before,
because you know, used to be a beam guy before
they got rid of the beams. Way they get rid
of beams again with beams naughty their head. Yeah, they
were lying to the council. They were naughty. But so
since I've been taking limes, I don't even know s Yeah, limes.
I don't know when that started. I've done a thousand,
one thousand, one hundred and eighty eight kilometers shit to break,
(14:44):
thirteen hundred rides sorry, how far eleven one one eight eight.
Speaker 3 (14:50):
One five eight eight zero point five k's it was?
How far away?
Speaker 2 (14:54):
One thousand, three hundred and fifteen rides? That's insane, that's
a lot. It's a great way to get around.
Speaker 3 (15:01):
I think they're really fun.
Speaker 2 (15:02):
I just still because it's quick to get to work.
I'll get to work in five minutes as opposed to
fifteen minutes.
Speaker 4 (15:06):
Walk and at four o'clock in the morning. Yeah, anything
to shorten that time exactly. Now, how far away is
it give us.
Speaker 3 (15:11):
At a straight line.
Speaker 2 (15:14):
An air distance in the cargo is one and eighty
seven kilometers away from Auckland as the crow flies straight line.
It's basically top to If you were driving by distance,
you would be one one on eight eight you would be.
Speaker 3 (15:32):
Just north of Tomato. It's nice. Is crazy. I've done
the whole length of the country on a scooter so well,
and how long and how many rides over how many years?
Like maybe a few years. That's call that. There's those stats.
Speaker 4 (15:46):
Yeah, well, you know you get to work then and
it's breaky time, and it's fruit which we eat with
our hands, and you make your oats and stuff. And
if you're not going to the toilet, I mean I
don't go anywhere it and wash my hands before you eat.
Speaker 2 (16:01):
Un least I can get to work and go to
the toilet. I don't wash my hands.
Speaker 4 (16:04):
We lose it because it was always my mum right,
wash your hands before dinner, wash your hands before dinner,
hands before dinner.
Speaker 2 (16:09):
If you wash your hands, I don't. We just sta
out and we do what we do. Wash your hands
at dinner. That's what I say, as your parent. Yeah,
all the time, do you I don't all.
Speaker 3 (16:19):
One to a restaurant.
Speaker 2 (16:20):
I'll find if I'm in the kitchen, I'll end up
washing my hands anyway, totally.
Speaker 3 (16:25):
But when you're out about a thousand times every time
you touch something.
Speaker 4 (16:28):
Else, you don't wash your hands on wash a lime scooter,
no sign, No so bad news. So on their obviously
they found biological residure, skin cells, sweet saliva food rizzard
jew and welcome to the story.
Speaker 3 (16:43):
Fecal matter.
Speaker 4 (16:44):
Now we're keeping the show pool light, but were off
for the science purposes.
Speaker 3 (16:48):
We've got fecal mat man.
Speaker 2 (16:50):
This is the same as like if post machines at
and trolley's at the supermarket. You don't wipe those down,
do you the Yeah, totally.
Speaker 4 (16:58):
This would be the same with the exacts bus handles.
You know, we have public transport all over Europe and stuff.
Speaker 3 (17:04):
I was holding on to things.
Speaker 4 (17:05):
You allow about the crossant with my fingers.
Speaker 2 (17:07):
It's cold flu seasons when I become a little bit
more aware aware of it, and they still are weird,
like you stop looking for them, but they're still a
hand sanitizer.
Speaker 4 (17:17):
So the average contamination rating was one thousand, one thousand,
five one thousand, five hundred and sixty three eightyp units,
So I don't know, it's like it's it's medical, it's science.
Speaker 3 (17:35):
Right, it's a lot.
Speaker 4 (17:36):
But to put that in CONTEXTSD five hundred and sixty
three is almost four times the level that's considered high.
Oh wow, okay, the higher was seven thousand. On one particular.
Oh my god, you're riddled with fecal matter on your hands.
Speaker 3 (17:54):
It's so bad.
Speaker 4 (17:56):
And you know, one of the reasons that they said
that this is so bad on these now but this
is in London, but this will probably be around is
that the number of public toilets available have dropped by
forty percent, so people aren't washing their hands or anything
like that.
Speaker 2 (18:11):
Right, even if the number of public toilets dropped by
forty percent. When you go overseas, like even even Aukland,
I feel it's bad for finding a place if you
need to.
Speaker 3 (18:22):
It is good as.
Speaker 4 (18:23):
Rural like if you're driving a new seat every town,
you're like, I need to pay always always.
Speaker 3 (18:28):
Pull over on the side of the road and take
a person behind a toy toy a little harder for me, right,
And you want to be careful behind a toy toy
because that that grass that's cuttings.
Speaker 4 (18:37):
Yeah, you're I don't know why there's less toilets, but
totally that makes sense. Right, We're kind of going about
a day washing our hands more and frequently.
Speaker 3 (18:44):
Okay, I'm washing, I'm washing my hands more.
Speaker 4 (18:47):
Then now I see double break because it's some wipes
you see. You know you've got your gloves some mornings
on cold mornings like that, Yes, PROSSI I just I
just realized I've got a gift for you, do you.
But it comes with a small kind of not caving it.
It's just like you've just got to sort of accept
its history.
Speaker 3 (19:05):
Okay, So you know how I mentioned it.
Speaker 4 (19:07):
On Saturday night, I went out to town and Christ
felt very old.
Speaker 3 (19:10):
Ended up going home quite early.
Speaker 4 (19:12):
So on the way home, in my sober state, thinking
that that was too much for me, we were like,
we'll get a little pizza head and had dinner went soals.
Sitting down at Sounds waiting for our pizza, I lock
down on the ground and I was like, there's a
pair of gloves on the ground. Oh no, And I
picked them up and I was like, these are quality.
Speaker 2 (19:29):
Wait, so you give them to the people of cells
and you say, if someone comes back looking for gloves.
Speaker 4 (19:33):
It's like two am in the morning.
Speaker 3 (19:36):
Gloves you go back to cells.
Speaker 4 (19:37):
These are a quality glove, a lovely sort of waterproof top,
a lovely kind of pleather.
Speaker 3 (19:45):
It for high quality.
Speaker 4 (19:47):
I've put them through the wash, the fresh as the
day's mate, and I tell you what they're for men,
and there yours if you want them.
Speaker 2 (19:51):
So they'd be great for the scooter with all the
person So I think it.
Speaker 4 (19:54):
Was an uber eats person, you know who's said there
waiting for a thing because it's giving big arm on
a scooter drop.
Speaker 3 (19:59):
Off of I can't believe you didn't hand them on.
I'm godspect you didn't hand these ease quality. And I
just handbagged those things and clean.
Speaker 4 (20:11):
The place was a muck with drunk pigo ball. See
your glove, I'll pick it up.
Speaker 3 (20:15):
It's washed and my friend, happy birthday, Thank you, thank
you for your second hand men.
Speaker 1 (20:20):
You preser needwork plays.
Speaker 6 (20:24):
It ends flesh porn and halo fu hailey.
Speaker 2 (20:27):
Silly little pool, silly little pool.
Speaker 1 (20:31):
It is so silly, silly, silly that.
Speaker 8 (20:34):
Silly little pool, silly little pool, sealing little pool, silly
little pole, silly pool.
Speaker 2 (20:45):
When do you wash your pots and pans. Is today
still a little pole.
Speaker 3 (20:49):
This comes to us because produce a shan in the
minute the late pans off the oven and the food
second out of it, off the stovetop or out of
the oven. The food's out straight into a sink. God,
there's madness. I do that and it's fine. No, it's not.
I use hot water. I'll just run the whole water as.
Speaker 4 (21:08):
Hot as the oven or the direct It can't be.
Speaker 2 (21:12):
Your water would come out of your tap at like
fifty degrees.
Speaker 3 (21:15):
That pans forbab to be north would have two hundred.
Speaker 4 (21:17):
So nonstick pans most vulnerable. I've done my own research, okay,
as I do with everything. Nonstick pans most vulnerable. The
coating and the metal basic span and contract at different rates,
so it'll crack it or it like warps. That's the
main thing. It's called like thermo shock. Just like the
metal contracts unevenly. It'll make it go like you know
the oven trays. It just like no longer sit normal. Yeah,
(21:39):
I mean hot cold, hot cold hot.
Speaker 3 (21:40):
And cold cast iron. It could break in.
Speaker 2 (21:42):
Half, could pang it right. It's drastically cooling it so
when you wash your pots and pants right after cooking
while they're hot.
Speaker 3 (21:52):
Twenty two percent of people.
Speaker 2 (21:54):
Put them to soak after cooking and let them and
then clean them forty two percent of people.
Speaker 3 (21:58):
But that still implies that it's going into a sink.
Speaker 2 (22:01):
Yeah, that's what I do. Wait until that cooled down fully,
then clean thirty six percent.
Speaker 3 (22:06):
Yeah that's me. Yeah, I got cast iron. You gotta
respect cast iron, my respect and love of cast iron.
More on that. After eight thirty long teas, long teas,
I couldn't bother with cast iron. It was just all
too much.
Speaker 2 (22:21):
I just like nonstick. I don't care about the cancer
bits that fall off, and you eat the cancer bits,
you know, like I won't drink coke zero.
Speaker 4 (22:30):
How bad coke zero was for us? Every day wild behavior,
the cancer bits.
Speaker 3 (22:37):
Loose seals said.
Speaker 2 (22:37):
My four dollar pan came with instructions to let it
cool before clanning.
Speaker 3 (22:40):
Other words, the middle will warp. You don't need to
tell me twice. Yeah, but that's a four dollar pan.
Speaker 4 (22:45):
Sometimes those four dollar pans, though, and you're like, why
has this been a round for ten years? I know
that I know, and it's the worst. I hate it
so much.
Speaker 3 (22:55):
Kate instantly I'm not sitting down to eating until the
plate I'm eating off is the only thing left to clean.
Those people to do the dishes as she goes. Yeah,
but what the the hots and cakes? Loo? I like
I like watching the washing up liquid bubble in a
hot pan. She's boiling it.
Speaker 2 (23:15):
Wow, I love that, Sam. I wait until I cooled down,
because that's what Mum always said.
Speaker 3 (23:20):
Oh yeah, pretends that mum was correct. Mum was right,
Mama was right. Screenshotting these results to show my husband
that I am one hundred percent correct.
Speaker 2 (23:28):
So I'm guessing at forty percent, which was the most.
Put them to soak after cooking, and then clean them.
Yeah you're saying it's still too hot after it's too hot? Down,
don't let it touch water shirt. Yeah that's when you know. Yeah,
I actually put a little bit of order right and
after cook and then back on the stove, turned off
(23:50):
and let the warm soak through while eating. Well would
that be allowed or would that warp? I know you're
not fully submerging the pan.
Speaker 3 (23:58):
I to deglaze it.
Speaker 2 (24:00):
Yeah you know, yeah, maybe maybe too sizzly went hot,
That says Kate.
Speaker 3 (24:07):
That's simple, isn't she just says too sizzly went hot.
Speaker 4 (24:10):
Ryan's just ticked and saying he likes.
Speaker 3 (24:12):
The cool steam.
Speaker 2 (24:14):
He likes the steam. You like the steam your pan?
That's your pan crying. Yeah, you're warping.
Speaker 3 (24:19):
Those are pan tears.
Speaker 2 (24:20):
Yeah, I wait till they're cold. But it's only at
a pure laziness. I have no respect for pants, said Zoe.
I dropped them in a cold sink.
Speaker 3 (24:28):
I'm done.
Speaker 2 (24:30):
That's that's disrespecting the pan. Two to three business days,
says Sophie.
Speaker 3 (24:34):
That's single life for you.
Speaker 2 (24:37):
Just when this a film of molds, yea.
Speaker 3 (24:42):
Probably probably should clean it.
Speaker 2 (24:43):
When the raccoons are scratched at the door, which is
amazing considering we don't have raccoons.
Speaker 3 (24:49):
Somehow the scratching of the how bad the pan? Yeah,
they came away from Canada. You brought raccoons to New Zealand.
It depends on the days of the week.
Speaker 2 (24:56):
Tuesday, I always do it right away, but every other
day my husband does the washing up, so I don't
ca hear what happens. Stacey, you should be carrying if
your pans are warping.
Speaker 4 (25:04):
I wonder what are the structure of the week is
that Tuesday is so different.
Speaker 3 (25:07):
Yeah, purposes, my dad takes care of that. She's living
with daddy. Oh, daddy doing the dishes.
Speaker 2 (25:14):
You're not always going to have a daddy, believe it.
Speaker 3 (25:17):
Find another one. Switch from father to daddy to daddy. Yeah,
so little pile. When you wash your.
Speaker 2 (25:21):
Pots and pans, the most common result is you put
them to soak after cook and then clean them.
Speaker 6 (25:26):
Podcast Network lay ends fletch for and Haley Man.
Speaker 4 (25:30):
I've been hacking down fireboxes. I've been making space. I'm
been putting up lock boxes.
Speaker 2 (25:37):
You put some shelves up, Put some shelves up.
Speaker 3 (25:40):
You got a lock box? What do you turn your
house into an airbnb?
Speaker 4 (25:43):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (25:46):
Just coming and going to need you know the codes
seven four.
Speaker 4 (25:51):
It's more that my neighbors sometimes have to pop over.
Speaker 2 (25:53):
Yeah. And then once you've got that key, you'll go in.
There'll be another code for seven two four the key,
and there's.
Speaker 4 (26:00):
A latch which will have a garage from motion. And
then you open the garage and you go in there
and there's the red bucket. Go in near and move
the backet. Yeah, no, no, no, I just you know, sometimes
if I'm away for the night, it's you know, I
might stay longer or something. I'm just for neighbors and stuff.
Everyone on my street having a key. Yeah, it's getting
a bit. It's a bit open policy. It cast a sprout.
(26:23):
But I've been doing all sorts of feeling ver accomplished.
And yesterday the sun was shining. It was cold, but
it was shining, and just my lawns were horrendous. So
I was like, lesh a week, so wet, but I
just had to do it. I just had to do it.
And they look good. It did a bit higher, Yeah
you got Yeah, that makes sense. So I just figured
that out on my own. But I was like, it
feels like I need to keep this higher.
Speaker 3 (26:44):
And it looks and weird.
Speaker 4 (26:45):
Okay, So I'm doing the hedges, the lot boxes up,
the showers, rab and sand and I've been sand and
filling holes. I've been painted, and I'm just feeling accomplished.
And I just look and I turn and I look
at my head and I think, bloody hell, that thing
is a shambles. I have this huge, it's very long hedge.
Speaker 3 (27:00):
It's my hedge.
Speaker 4 (27:02):
But the neighbors get the top of it, you know,
and it's sprouts. It's just it's not a fancy here.
It's just got all bits and sprouts and stuff. And
I just wasn't my job. But I'm single, you know,
so now it is my job, and so I had to.
I asked Vaughan, can you come over and do my
head Becausevaughn's done the hedge before in the past, did
(27:23):
a really good job.
Speaker 3 (27:24):
Yeah, really good job, and I was like, let's do that.
I got, you know, your hand held situation.
Speaker 4 (27:32):
Sculpted it, Yeah, sort of sculpted it.
Speaker 2 (27:34):
That's what I planned to do when this all goes.
It's up hedges hedges.
Speaker 4 (27:39):
He does a nice here. He also did my little
mini hedge at the front was beautiful, and I was like,
that's so required.
Speaker 9 (27:44):
You know.
Speaker 4 (27:44):
I think his friends have really been there for each
other over particularly the last couple of years, and I
was like, he'll do that for me.
Speaker 2 (27:49):
Do you think that's going to pay your mortgage hedges?
Speaker 3 (27:53):
A caravan? I'll drive around Who's huges.
Speaker 5 (27:59):
The head?
Speaker 2 (28:00):
And I also get to park on your front lawn,
so you live on their lawn, Yeah, doing their hedge
and I take my time. Okay, flat fee though, yeah
flat feaver hedges.
Speaker 4 (28:11):
Yeah, anyway, I reckon I asked him at at the
beginning of summer.
Speaker 3 (28:15):
It's been a long running joke on the show. But
yesterday I was like, I'm done. I'm sick.
Speaker 4 (28:21):
I'm not sick of I'm just sick of looking at them.
And here I am accomplishing so much.
Speaker 2 (28:27):
Let's go so as an independent woman.
Speaker 3 (28:29):
Yeah exactly.
Speaker 4 (28:30):
I get my rockety little ladder, I get put it
on the thing, and I send a photo of you guys,
guess what I'm doing, and.
Speaker 3 (28:36):
You've got a way bit of ladder. I don't know
why you were using that rockety little.
Speaker 4 (28:39):
Ladder because the heavy letder so heavy.
Speaker 10 (28:42):
It's heavy, but such a letter. It's so las actually
because my head is there to do it. Yeah right,
he had that thing for all my eighteen months. I reckon,
that's been at you all funny.
Speaker 4 (28:54):
So I put my rockety little leader because that's the
one that I can do. And I was like, I reckon,
I've got a huge trimmer in here somewhere, and I.
Speaker 3 (29:00):
See it up on the wall. Yep, I keep that.
So I get it down. First thing. I noticed, sh
it's heavy, because I used to have one that was
like a bety.
Speaker 4 (29:09):
Little I was like, that's perfect.
Speaker 3 (29:10):
This thing's a plug in. Ok Oh my god, I
plug in head shrimm. Holy moly. I was hard put.
Speaker 2 (29:18):
Through the cord once and I was younger, and it scared,
it went, but then it blew the fuse in.
Speaker 3 (29:24):
It went, but no eyes terrified.
Speaker 2 (29:25):
It's hard though, because you don't have any sockets in
your hedge.
Speaker 4 (29:29):
No sockets in the hedge, sockets on the dicks. I'm
running a cable, right, okay, I'm running a cable from
the house, from the deck down to the thing.
Speaker 3 (29:36):
I wouldn't have thought about it. I wouldn't have thought
of that. You would have thought an electrician and going
to be kind of installed a couple of power. I
would have done that. Yet I could have take to
get a bloody socket in the hedge.
Speaker 4 (29:46):
Here and I get up on the lander and it's
so heavy. This thing's really heavy.
Speaker 3 (29:51):
And it's like it's one I'm worried about you.
Speaker 4 (29:55):
It's a big one. And I and I have that
di blades go like this. The first thing I immediately
recognized is this thing is blunt.
Speaker 10 (30:04):
You got to keep them sharp, and you got sharp
in these little spokes because I've got one of those.
Speaker 4 (30:09):
Knife sharpness in the kitchen and I was like, maybe
I just get one of those on there.
Speaker 2 (30:14):
Well, I've got like a file, a flat file, and
you sit it on. I always sit it on like
a bench and you file down. My god, I want
to add that to them.
Speaker 4 (30:23):
Waiting on Vorn to bring over.
Speaker 3 (30:25):
You don't have to do it. I don't have to
do it for long I was doing.
Speaker 4 (30:28):
I was trying to get the top, you know, because
it's got a line, and I'm trying to get the top.
And I could get the fluff, but the hard ones
that have may be grown a bit too long. Because
I've been waiting for six months to get this born
to come over, to come over and do it up,
they've thickened up and it just wouldn't have it. So
I'm on top of this ladder alone, sort of swinging,
(30:48):
and I was.
Speaker 3 (30:48):
Like, I wonder if I could kind of hit.
Speaker 4 (30:50):
It like always exit with the blunt blade, and it just
wasn't having it. So the hdge still looks dreightfall. So
when I say I've.
Speaker 3 (30:59):
Done my own here, you trying on my calendar here
when I've got some times.
Speaker 4 (31:06):
Just it just feels like it's pretty today.
Speaker 3 (31:10):
You say the other day, you were spending a lot
of time playing a video game. Yeah, great, games great.
I hate to take that away. For the inconvenience of
the ten I've got one.
Speaker 2 (31:19):
Tomorrow is no good, but tomorrow tuesdays out Monday, we've
got staff man.
Speaker 4 (31:25):
See do you know what I mean? Spring spring he
was really going to take off?
Speaker 3 (31:31):
Yeah? Have you thought about paying someone? This is where
I'm at. No no, no, no, no no someone.
Speaker 4 (31:37):
Like that huge trummer because it's used to me. It's
so bloody heavy.
Speaker 2 (31:40):
I can't we all a little done A great You've
done a great job advertising it. It's heavy, it's corded,
it's blunt, and it doesn't do the job how much.
Four hundred.
Speaker 7 (31:53):
The z M podcast network plays ms flesh Worn and
Haley do you Shannon's unpredictable history?
Speaker 4 (32:04):
Shall we get a little bit more cultured shell? Because
everyone to talk about the Odyssey at the moment.
Speaker 3 (32:08):
You guys haven't seen it. No, no, not moment.
Speaker 4 (32:13):
Oh no, Stewie, get out of Brian. Brian who said
to me the other day giggity, and I was like,
holy what, Holy Molly.
Speaker 2 (32:27):
I said something, and you too has heard it as Giggy.
You see why you say giggity, and I said I wasn't,
and then I was like maybe I was back.
Speaker 4 (32:36):
Sorry, listen, we're trying to have a classy break. We've
already derailed it with a bit of giggdy and Brian
our producer Shannon, if you've just joined the show, welcome now.
Shannon Is.
Speaker 3 (32:46):
She lives in a house that we call meth manor.
Speaker 4 (32:48):
She comes up with these ridiculous hacks and sometimes could
come across as perhaps quite flighty.
Speaker 2 (32:52):
Wait and loves your reality trash tell loves, but will
always end the day with some history fall a sleep
to YouTube documentaries and videos.
Speaker 4 (33:02):
Do you know nothing gets her to sleep like a beheading?
Speaker 3 (33:06):
Ago, I loved the story of Henry the Eighth.
Speaker 5 (33:09):
I've been doing a lot of mad cow disease at
the moment. I'm real into that.
Speaker 3 (33:12):
Nice.
Speaker 4 (33:13):
That's why you couldn't give blood for so long. Yeah.
Now everyone's talk about the Odyssey.
Speaker 3 (33:20):
Which is not historical.
Speaker 1 (33:23):
Well, it's a historical book.
Speaker 4 (33:25):
It's a historical book, but this it's a story, a
fable like that's what we were laughing about that, you know,
Elon Musk is a problem with the historical accuracy of
a Christopher Nolan's film. But there's giants and cyclops and
all sorts of sirens and mermaids and it's very funny.
Speaker 2 (33:43):
I spoiler the mermaids babes. You know Vaughn loves mermaids, you.
Speaker 4 (33:47):
Know how in cartoons and you know mermaids for children
they wear shell bras.
Speaker 3 (33:51):
Yeah, not these. I've got barnacle titties. Anyway, I've got
some seeing enemies growing on their NEPs straight the battle enemies.
You got your poke the middle it goes, yeah.
Speaker 4 (34:06):
So, but you have promised us an unpredictable history working
within the world of the Odyssey.
Speaker 1 (34:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (34:11):
So the Odyssey is the second book, and the Iliad
is Homer's first book.
Speaker 1 (34:15):
The Lily.
Speaker 3 (34:17):
Now, who's Homer not Simpson? And or a writer? A writer?
And did they not have a last name?
Speaker 2 (34:22):
He's Madonna and Zindaya and Shakira and sheer no one knows.
Speaker 4 (34:26):
His last name, Shaka's last name.
Speaker 3 (34:32):
When she says it in the song, she's actually introducing yourself.
Speaker 5 (34:35):
Yeah right, So in the Iliad, we're kind of talking
more the Trojan horse stories and all that. And I've
got a story from the Iliad today that I think
No one's talking about enough and I think could be
the plot of another Christopher Nolan movie.
Speaker 3 (34:47):
Do you want Shakira's last name? Now? Wait?
Speaker 4 (34:50):
Wait wait wait wait wait? Is it obvious or.
Speaker 2 (34:54):
Is it like, what the hell her full birth name
is Shakida? Is it bel Mehbareck the pole Upols, drag race,
Membareck Ripple. Yeah, but she goes obviously by Shakira.
Speaker 3 (35:09):
I can see why.
Speaker 4 (35:11):
She puts a good Shakira on. No, it's distracting from
the iliod. So the Illiot it contains the story of
the Trojan Horse where they they infiltrated Troy inside of
a horse and then they attack them.
Speaker 5 (35:24):
Yeah, but today we're going to be talking about the
famous funeral games.
Speaker 3 (35:28):
So fun funeral games. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (35:31):
So this was quite a common thing back then to
celebrate someone's life. They would host like a mini Olympics.
There would be chariot racing, boxing, archery, and there would
be running races.
Speaker 3 (35:40):
Are the egg sandwiches ecceled sandwiches? After If you've got
friends that aren't very athletic.
Speaker 5 (35:45):
Well you gotta work. You got honor your friend. Okay,
So r killes the guy with the heel, famous.
Speaker 3 (35:51):
Brad Pek played him back in that movie Back in
the Day and that movie Back and There and Troy
four Troy. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (35:59):
If it helps, you can imagine the characters as Kelly's
his good friend Patchulus died and so he threw a
funeral games for him. He said, let's do this. We're
gonna have chariots, archery and running. Now, Ajax like sprain wipe?
Speaker 2 (36:14):
Ajax is that where it's named after?
Speaker 4 (36:16):
He was a very famous check I.
Speaker 3 (36:18):
Just thought it was a cleaning product.
Speaker 4 (36:20):
What was what was he known for?
Speaker 3 (36:22):
Clean?
Speaker 10 (36:22):
He was?
Speaker 5 (36:24):
He's actually called Ajax the Lissa.
Speaker 2 (36:25):
You have the AJX jingle from the ads in the
nineteen spray and white, oh ah, spraying white. I also
think tax but I'm sorry, sorry momentarily has a Jax
always owned Sprayan wipe was an acquisition? I don't know
Ajax Ajax spray and what isn't there?
Speaker 3 (36:44):
What's the jingle? There was a jingle, Yes, it was,
it was.
Speaker 2 (36:46):
It was. It was a I think it was a
woman and she was running around cleaning and she was
cleaning the whole house.
Speaker 3 (36:56):
Clean Purpose I clean up service. And what we're going
through toughest grease.
Speaker 2 (37:03):
It's been around since is Wayne, and so thank you
because brand White.
Speaker 3 (37:09):
It was Ajax brand White all along, and you're.
Speaker 4 (37:11):
Head of the film.
Speaker 5 (37:12):
Word because Ajax is tough on Grease, which is famously like.
Speaker 2 (37:15):
The that is today I learned.
Speaker 3 (37:28):
Oh my god, I had no idea.
Speaker 1 (37:30):
Do you think anyone what's called Colin Norman?
Speaker 3 (37:34):
Do you think anyone knew? That's not a single New Zealand?
I knew that turn off and turn it back on again.
That's not that's insane.
Speaker 4 (37:48):
What a brilliant Oh my name b brilliant?
Speaker 2 (37:52):
Oh my god, yeah, I know you get excited with her.
Speaker 3 (37:58):
There's a better sweet to the back. That's incredible. Did
you have any idea because that's hard on grease, tough
on Greece, Greece the country?
Speaker 2 (38:16):
Did anybody have I mean, it's obviously not spelt like
Greece the country, but yeah, it's a play on words.
It's incredible. Did anybody know that nine.
Speaker 4 (38:23):
Stick them being like, doesn't she clean the table and
then fall through it?
Speaker 3 (38:29):
Find the jingle on YouTube? Boy, carry on.
Speaker 4 (38:33):
Iffing, We're going to hone through that storry.
Speaker 1 (38:36):
Ajax notoriously quite arrogant.
Speaker 5 (38:39):
Earlier in the war, he got offered some divine help
and said no. So the gods don't like him at
the moment, They're like, you think you're better than us,
where the gods you're not.
Speaker 3 (38:47):
The gods will smite them. Oh, do not be a
bit malevolent.
Speaker 5 (38:50):
So at these at these funeral games, Ajax was about
to do a running race and he was like ready
to go. You know, he's about to run his best
run ever. Athena played by Zendaya in the movie, is
sick of his arrogance, and so what does she do
to ruin the race? What do you think she does
to stop him winning?
Speaker 4 (39:12):
Cleans the floor and doesn't put up a wet sign,
puts grease on the floor.
Speaker 5 (39:18):
No, and I'm sorry, I know we bought the snow
pooh chat. But she put Kalman in front of him
and he fell and he ate Ship's where that the
saying kind of comes from.
Speaker 4 (39:28):
As he.
Speaker 5 (39:31):
Are learning so much predictable history, He's who the race
because he ate ship?
Speaker 3 (39:38):
Who ship?
Speaker 5 (39:40):
So Ajax running falls into the Calmina who overtakes him
and then wins the funeral race.
Speaker 3 (39:49):
Wait, you can get someone.
Speaker 4 (39:53):
Really famous we've been talking about.
Speaker 5 (39:59):
And this is where Odysseus really becomes a main character,
and the earlier therefore becomes the main character.
Speaker 3 (40:05):
Before Matt Damon needs to get home.
Speaker 4 (40:07):
Yes, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3 (40:09):
Well before, So why does Matt demon need to go
home so bad? Because he's been stuck on Mars? Because
he was on Mars making the Cross movies.
Speaker 4 (40:19):
You've left the movies.
Speaker 2 (40:20):
His brothers all died and and.
Speaker 4 (40:26):
He's gone off to water in Troy and they can't
get back because they don't have airplanes.
Speaker 2 (40:30):
Back then, we've had some most like but s off,
we've had some movers Matt Damon and to get home, certainly.
Speaker 3 (40:38):
He's always far from home, blowing. Okay, everybody's just mind.
Speaker 2 (40:43):
She so much produces yet and one of them a
kind of episode of unpredictable history.
Speaker 3 (40:48):
We learned a lot, didn't we?
Speaker 2 (40:49):
And how can the day time nineteen nineties The Sprain
Wipe Australian ad beautiful in its entirety, got.
Speaker 3 (40:59):
A call from mister. The kitchen looks up fright from
that night, although I feel like quickly I had to
clean it quickly the spray and focus I cleaned surface.
Spray and wives aren't freeze because it cuts through free
the country chen and the buyer is very keen. Thank you.
(41:27):
It was AJAX. They just didn't say, yeah, wow Jay,
it's called AJX because it's grease.
Speaker 4 (41:36):
Grease.
Speaker 1 (41:37):
The z N podcast network.
Speaker 6 (41:41):
Plays z Ens flesh Forn and Haley, Oh.
Speaker 3 (41:44):
God, Okay.
Speaker 4 (41:45):
We want to know why did you drop a name?
Maybe it was your family name, the name of a parent.
Speaker 2 (41:51):
I want to know the drama because sometimes get people
get the double barreled names if the parents aren't together
and then they.
Speaker 4 (41:58):
Here, Yeah, I have friends that were I have a
friend that was born with their father's surname, but the
father wasn't really there, so later in life took her mom's.
Speaker 3 (42:09):
Oh yeah, because you were like, that makes sense, you're
the parent. Yeah, who's a stranger, you know.
Speaker 4 (42:13):
Well, the reason we're talking about this is because a
few stories in the news. Brad Pitt, you may remember,
like a few years ago Shiloh wanted to drop the name.
Speaker 3 (42:25):
Pit from Jolie Pitt.
Speaker 4 (42:27):
Yes, after eighteenth birthday, Zahara publicly went by Jolie and
dropped the Pit. A couple of years ago, Vivian has
did a Broadway play and got listed, just as Vivian
Jols hasn't done it.
Speaker 3 (42:44):
Officially, but they're all Brad Pitt.
Speaker 4 (42:47):
So Zahara and Maddicks have done the official court paperwork
in the last week to remove Pitt from their legal
names starting personal reason, beloved Brad Pitt. Now we know
if we know of the incident on the plane right
where he was drunk and being a bit of a
dickhead and stuff, and they had a kerfuffle on the
divorce and all that.
Speaker 3 (43:05):
Yeah, all of this is not reflector.
Speaker 2 (43:08):
Wasn't he great and glorious with people like that? It
would be weird though if your dad was adored by
you know, so much of the world. Yeah, Like, we
don't know the different size of you know, what he's
actually like.
Speaker 3 (43:24):
Yeah, and I mean we don't know what he's actually like.
Speaker 1 (43:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (43:26):
We can assume from this that the kids don't want
anything to do with him.
Speaker 4 (43:29):
And then his Tom Cruise, whose daughter Suri Cruise, who
had with Katie harm who was like twenty now, yes,
so they haven't been seen together, him and his daughter
since twenty twelve.
Speaker 2 (43:41):
There's no way she can have an iPhone? Eh, Why
because everyone a walk walk passed on the street and say, hey,
sur yes, how can I help you? Phone she's got
to turn it off, right, get an Yeah, just get
a get a Samsung.
Speaker 4 (43:56):
So no one really knows what happened there, like they
broke up Tom and then like Sirius, it had nothing
to do.
Speaker 2 (44:03):
You can get the Tom Cruise thing right, He's like
he's a scientologist and he's crazy.
Speaker 3 (44:09):
Right, So she legally changed great in those mission really
good and funny gone an upcoming film.
Speaker 4 (44:16):
Sorry Cruz has changed your surname from Cruise to Noel,
which is Katie Holmes' middle name.
Speaker 3 (44:22):
Right, Okay, maybe she just wants to be like Noel. Yeah,
not part of.
Speaker 4 (44:26):
That, but maybe that was the thing. Maybe you had
your parents gave you it was an embarrassing name or yeah,
but a family drama and you thought, I don't want.
Speaker 3 (44:37):
Well Waite hundred dancing And we would love to hear
from you this morning. You can text through nine six
nine sex.
Speaker 4 (44:43):
Did you make the.
Speaker 3 (44:44):
Decision to drop a name? And why?
Speaker 4 (44:46):
Nearly all of Brad Pitt's kids and Tom Cruise's daughter,
they're all just dropping the last name because they're like,
I don't want to be associated with that person, and
we want to know, We want to know why did
you drop a name. Maybe it was a family name
or a name that was given to you, And what
was the drama behind it? Why did you make that
decision or you just hated that? Yeah, maybe you just
hate it. Maybe it was shame or embarrassing in your head.
Speaker 3 (45:08):
Like weird connotation. Here's an interesting one.
Speaker 2 (45:11):
Someone replied to our Instagram saying, my family name is small,
but I'm nearly six foot tall and I've always been
a bit chubby.
Speaker 3 (45:18):
So yeah, I changed the name. I changed the name. Okay,
I'm not small.
Speaker 4 (45:22):
Yeah that would yeah?
Speaker 3 (45:23):
Yeah, yeah? Would they change it to medium? They change
it to.
Speaker 4 (45:29):
Jane Kirby medium, Hailey Jane fluctuate.
Speaker 2 (45:34):
Someone else said I kept my family name legally, but
socially I go with my husband's last name.
Speaker 3 (45:38):
So we'll just keep that one quiet. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
that's the thing. Okay, Tracy, did you drop a name?
Speaker 11 (45:46):
Yes, I dropped my first name and my last name.
Speaker 3 (45:49):
Okay, got to the whole thing, the whole thing. Why
did you start over?
Speaker 11 (45:53):
And well, I was I was never called by my
first name. I was always called by Trophy, which was
my middle name. Yeah, right, And for my last name,
I was born one name and then it was changed
by depot to another last name by my mother and
told that was who my father was. But as an
adult I found out he was not my father. It
(46:14):
was actually somebody else, completely different, and so I went,
do you know what, I'm just going to go by
last name Monroe after Marilyn Monroe because I like her.
Speaker 2 (46:25):
I like she so wow, wow, Okay, Tray Monroe, I
like it, Okay, And it has nothing to do with
either of your parents.
Speaker 4 (46:35):
No, I just chose that.
Speaker 11 (46:38):
Yeah, I just chose it because I liked it and
ran with it. It rolls off the term quite nicely.
Speaker 2 (46:44):
You could be a movie star actually with Marilyn Monroe exactly, Tracy.
Speaker 3 (46:50):
Thank you some messages.
Speaker 2 (46:51):
My wife and I took my mother's maiden name as
her as her dad's family and her immediate family were
not supportive of our lesbian relationship. On her mother's side
were though, so we wanted to honor them with this support,
and we took that name. Because how does the ancestry
dot com family tree go when you had it with
a couple of the Lisbon's and a name and a
(47:12):
name change.
Speaker 3 (47:13):
Yeah, the whole new tree? Is it a whole new tree?
You know, are you familiar with them? He was grafting. Well,
you cut a branch of one tree and put it
on the other one and wrapped some blad wrap around
it until it tries. Yeah, okay, but that isn't it lovely?
Um tree crafting?
Speaker 2 (47:29):
My parents were well respected award when it is totally
loved by the community. Blah blah blah, behind closed doors.
Absolute ship heads. Dropped the name as soon as I could. Wow,
it's like these celebrities, they're just so adored and their
kids hate them. Yeah, and you're like, you don't know him.
I know, Yeah, I know. Mauldi boy whose birth name
(47:49):
was Brian. He changed it when he was twinty to Giovanni,
and he's told people he was Italian, right to get
the chicks, Get the chicks. Okay, how's that going for him?
North Rock and round Tail Italian? Yeah, Brian. My husband
(48:15):
dropped his dad's last name at a teen. He'd never
met the man and wanted to match his real family. Yeah,
it's a good call.
Speaker 4 (48:22):
Someone in there here to drop down very German surname
after the war.
Speaker 3 (48:26):
I can't imagine why. Yeah, really you would, though, John,
It's just John's.
Speaker 4 (48:37):
Some does a Lisbion's family tree more of a bush.
Speaker 3 (48:41):
Actually, I like what they've done there. It's good, good stuff.
Speaker 2 (48:46):
I dropped my English name and took my granddad's traditional
Maldi name, which is named after the bid so candle
that you read the Bible by.
Speaker 3 (48:54):
Love was light in the dark is another translation of it.
That's nice.
Speaker 4 (48:59):
A lot of people drop in the dad's name because like,
we's dad and Dad's not.
Speaker 3 (49:04):
Why I use the name?
Speaker 4 (49:05):
Yeah, dead around, I don't know him, means nothing to you,
which I can imagine that feeling because I feel so
strongly about Sprow, because I have such a great relationship
with my dad that it would just be the opposite.
Speaker 3 (49:16):
Right. Yeah, what was that name? Man? I had a
double barreled name.
Speaker 2 (49:19):
It was my parents' last name's hyphened when they split,
I just went my mum's last name, and my dad
remarried and ended up with a legit evil step mama
tried to erase my existence from the family. Oh okay, wow,
So then I started going by dad's last name just
to make her purse off. You can't forget me, and
then that person is also don't call me. My baby
is currently asleep on me one answer, I'm sorry, sorry
(49:42):
about that.
Speaker 3 (49:44):
Everybody moved quietly to the door.
Speaker 4 (49:46):
We're sorry about what we've done to the planet. By
the way, when you come of age, you're going to
notice it's really bad.
Speaker 2 (49:51):
I but again, we're doing our part because we were recycled.
Flitch not so much. And you want to look at
a generation older than us. I listen to a podcast
about a I were so screwed, Like I wouldn't even
screwed any worry about recycling. I wouldn't even worry about
after pay payments to be.
Speaker 3 (50:05):
Like that, Like that's pretty bad. It's pretty bad. Just
like just it'll keep it going to twenty thirty, like
your mortgage, don't even worry about repay. I'm not paying
for that. That's not real dead, that's I'm just that's
just tread and water.
Speaker 7 (50:21):
The ZNM podcast Needworks It in Flesh one and Haley play.
Speaker 4 (50:28):
Oh damn that that song was crack them.
Speaker 2 (50:32):
No, you can't say crack you crack it and crack it.
I said that recently. We're just about to delve into
terms and stuff that you might have heard your teenagers
say or kids say on public transport. Yeah, you're like
am I being roasted here?
Speaker 3 (50:46):
What's the story here? No, you can't say crack it
because that hockey. I was like, step in and crack it,
and that was embarrassing. It is embarrassing for you because
that means something else.
Speaker 4 (50:56):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (50:56):
I noticed another thing.
Speaker 4 (50:57):
So when we were over in Europe, right, everyone as
boats go by, they they're doing the six seven right,
there was another one. There was another physical one that
was like with their hands and everyone were around the
world was doing it.
Speaker 3 (51:11):
There was another physical one, and I was like, wasn't this.
Speaker 4 (51:17):
It's that Shannon, hold your nose and go there and
and like everyone. So if you were like in a
restaurant that kids were going past kids, I'll be like that.
Speaker 5 (51:30):
Hand down, you're actually so it's a scuba motion. Yeah,
but you were doing it like the old school Scooba
jump jam. No, it's like this, it's just a dance move.
But people were just doing it and now it's kind
of becoming a new.
Speaker 4 (51:41):
Like run photos.
Speaker 5 (51:43):
Yeah, people were just doing it and like every video
and every photo.
Speaker 2 (51:46):
Hailey thought they were all laughing at her on the boat.
Speaker 4 (51:50):
Yeah, I've got I smell fine laughing at.
Speaker 2 (51:53):
Zero nine four sid My twelve year olds in the
backseat of the car quietly, and I'm at us doing this.
Speaker 3 (51:58):
How good is that? We're embarrassing kids? They're not even out.
I love it.
Speaker 2 (52:01):
I love that zero ninety four. What's what's this kid's name?
What's this twelve year old's name?
Speaker 3 (52:07):
Embarrassing? Embarrassing, it's embarrassing, embarisson because if the twelve but
thinking about smirching.
Speaker 4 (52:13):
Oh yeah, probably having a little cast.
Speaker 3 (52:15):
Did you have a lost handhold, Marcus? It's called or
a boat racing that Hailey thought they were being really
mean to her on the back pooh, yeah, do that
looks like because they don't get down there, it looks
like they're talking about Yeah.
Speaker 2 (52:34):
And it was hot, so this sweaty cross sweating a lot.
The NK test I got was given the ank test
that I got ten out of ten, and I was like,
now at it.
Speaker 3 (52:42):
Apparently that's not Clara thinks we're unks.
Speaker 2 (52:45):
I totally plainfully or teafully teasingly describing somebody is old
and out of touch with modern trends.
Speaker 3 (52:51):
So we've proved ourselves to be unks already because we
don't know what this is. What am I though? Because
I'm an aunt. No, I think it's I think it's
anti transcends, yeah, to be.
Speaker 4 (53:01):
Okay, So what are they call TikTok slang words that
we need to know to not be crunched?
Speaker 3 (53:07):
Okay, quite well and flip and you need to know
these you are and try to incorporate it into a sentence.
Speaker 2 (53:14):
Okay, Quite on the creek. It's like it's on the
down low. Can I tell me, flitch, guess what? Quite
on the creek? You just go.
Speaker 4 (53:25):
Yeah, and you know, longer I'm no longer ank yeah, but.
Speaker 3 (53:29):
Quite on the creek.
Speaker 2 (53:30):
Thailand old babies kind of self explansiory if you've kept up.
But we would say Panado old babies, right, yeah, because
we don't have here.
Speaker 3 (53:37):
Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (53:38):
That was where Pandole of pret woment pandole that was
playing for autism. Yeah right bye bye by the American government.
Speaker 4 (53:47):
So this is a new way in which we're teasing
people with autism.
Speaker 3 (53:51):
Yourself, it's your South. It's only it's it's said as
a South, right, Sorry, having a titlan old baby?
Speaker 2 (53:56):

Corny on the bob.
Speaker 2 (54:10):
Well, there's this old woman and she's like talking about corner.
She's got some on the corner on the cab and
corner off the bob.
Speaker 4 (54:16):
I think I think with that one corny on the bob,
we don't need to know what it means.
Speaker 3 (54:19):
Just start chucking it around. Corney on the Bible refers
to corner are on the cab when it's off the bob.
You get the idea. No, I don't, not neither, But
that's the best.
Speaker 2 (54:28):
Because cook cook doesn't know. I think we've been saying cooked.
The New Zealanders and Australians have been saying cooked for
let's cook dear either. Yeah, that's cooked, man, So we're
ahead of us. Actually we invented that, so we're we'll
take some points back on that one. Yeah, n PC

arising comedians making self deprecating fat.
Speaker 3 (55:28):
Jokes because it was it was no for a long time.
Speaker 4 (55:31):
We body positive, U body. We don't shoot on ourselves
and should on other people's bodies. We're just that's the
least interesting thing.
Speaker 2 (55:38):
We're body positive until farmac subsidizes one of the weight
loss jabs, which I'm again we're taking the shortcut because
that's life.
Speaker 3 (55:47):

You're against the jabs until I'm not yeah, which I
think will be around October.

Speaker 4 (56:00):
And then it's genuine, genuinely a financial decision because I
don't fit a single thing about wardrobe.
Speaker 3 (56:06):
Now that's fair, that's fair. Pastory leads to get the
jat than it would to get all new wardrobe.
Speaker 4 (56:13):
Absolutely, As a woman who fluctuates between thirty kj's, I've
got a thirty kg fluctuation band.
Speaker 3 (56:21):

Speaker 4 (01:00:32):
I think the awards and this, for me as a comedian,
is the best award you can get is the laughter
as the laughter, the laughter of the listener and of
Fletvorne Hailey.

Speaker 8 (01:01:03):
Why why do divers fall out of the boat backwards?
Speaker 4 (01:01:07):
Why did divers fall out of the boat backwards?
Speaker 8 (01:01:09):
Because if they fell forwards, they'd still be.
Speaker 4 (01:01:11):
In the boat.
Speaker 3 (01:01:13):
That's simple. Points, it's clean. You can to anyone. Yeah
you could, you could, you know, and the moment.
Speaker 4 (01:01:22):

So that's you.
Speaker 2 (01:01:58):
That's your fault. Yeah, that's your fault. This isn't even
really a joke. It seems like it should be on
a T shirt. What what is one hundred and eighty
two teeth and holds back a monster?
Speaker 4 (01:02:09):
One hundred and eighty two teeth and holds back a monster?
Speaker 3 (01:02:12):

cracker bust and out. The family did like it.
Speaker 2 (01:02:36):
You're so dumb you bore curtains for your computer because
it had windows. That's good that I managed to A
priest and a rabbit walk into the blood bank and
the receptionist says, what type are you? And the rabbit says,
I think I'm a typo. Yeah right, that's got a lot.
It's really funny.
Speaker 3 (01:02:54):
Here's one reflecting the now.
Speaker 4 (01:02:55):
My Mexican mate said he thought that Odyssey was quite
a weird movie, summed it up unto words. That was
O you say that?
Speaker 3 (01:03:08):

Speaker 10 (01:03:09):
I don't think a white woman, I don't know if
you're you're by Hawaii.
Speaker 3 (01:03:14):
Yeah, that's not how the that's how it worked.
Speaker 2 (01:03:20):
Two rubbers walk into a lot of store. One grabs
a bottle of wine and says, is this whisky? The
other robber says, it's not as whisky as robbing a bank.
Speaker 3 (01:03:30):
That's good. That's good.
Speaker 2 (01:03:34):
When when a person gets killed by a bomb, where
did they get buried everywhere?
Speaker 3 (01:03:43):
That a job.
Speaker 2 (01:03:46):
That's just a terrible poor taste. This is my six
year old joke. They've said it a thousand times in
the last week. Why did the old man fall down
the well? Why we couldn't see that. Well, it's really like,
it's so simple, it's so funny though.
Speaker 3 (01:04:02):
Yeah, that's good one, still the best, the cat one
as missed that the podcast, even though I just told
you the postline.
Speaker 4 (01:04:12):
My three year old's favorite. A joke from a three
year old. What does a Tricera top sit on? What
does the Tricera tops sit on the ground? It's tricera bottom,
It's tricerat. You're literally critiquing a three year old comedian.
Speaker 2 (01:04:31):
Yeah, I'm just saying I've got a little bit more tricerat.
Why is it important not to buy pants made in
the and Ukraine? Why because Chernobyl fall out.
Speaker 3 (01:04:46):
That's silly, silly, I'm not reading the witches on brooms.
That's not no and amandain. We know wine, we know that.
Speaker 2 (01:04:57):
Why seven dwarves were all having a bath.
Speaker 3 (01:05:03):
They all felt happy. Baby got the hell out of
the bath and.
Speaker 4 (01:05:06):
They My friend recently lost her front tooth that caused
her to have a lisp. This was rough because she
was deeply religious and was struggling with a new hole
in her faith.
Speaker 3 (01:05:19):
That's good, that's really good. That's really Wait.
Speaker 4 (01:05:22):
The volcanoes fart from their ashole.
Speaker 3 (01:05:28):
That's good, it's good. That's good. What do you call
a frog that can't park in the right place?
Speaker 2 (01:05:34):
Said again, what do you call a frog that can't
park in the right place?
Speaker 3 (01:05:39):
Toad? Simple?
Speaker 2 (01:05:44):
What's the number one cause of dry skin? Bath towels?
Speaker 3 (01:05:55):
It took me a second. I was like, what because
they're rough? No, because they literally drank the race.
Speaker 4 (01:06:01):
Clever, layered, clever, really good.
Speaker 3 (01:06:04):
Yeah, that's a good one. Some of them coming in
from the regions.
Speaker 2 (01:06:09):
You can just tell some of them from the regions
too comfortable with their racism. There's a year right that
doesn't fly in the big smike. I'll tell you that.
Speaker 3 (01:06:18):
We can't say that.
Speaker 2 (01:06:19):
Oh my god, did I tell you my dog Minton
swallowed my shuttlecock?
Speaker 3 (01:06:23):
Badminton? Yes, yes, I love that joke. Really the best one.
That's the best one. That that that's the best one
that is. Yeah, that's my favorite so far. That's really good.
Speaker 4 (01:06:42):
God, there's so much felth coming in.
Speaker 3 (01:06:46):
Oh yeah, some of them. Take a look at the time.
It's twenty five past eight. We can't be reading that.
Speaker 4 (01:06:52):
Adam and got another three year old here another the
same three or all and loves dinosaurs what do you
call a blind dinosaur?
Speaker 3 (01:06:59):
What do you think he saw us?
Speaker 2 (01:07:02):
That's good as well, good stuff.
Speaker 3 (01:07:07):
Well, thank you for you, Dacon.
Speaker 4 (01:07:09):
Wait wait, wait, wait, what's Forest Gump's Netflix password one?
Speaker 3 (01:07:14):
Forest one? Oh? Yeah, that's good, it's good.
Speaker 2 (01:07:18):
It's good.
Speaker 7 (01:07:19):
The z M Podcast Network play z MS flesh Worn
and Haley.
Speaker 9 (01:07:26):
Fact of the Day, Day day, day, day, Dude.
Speaker 4 (01:07:39):
Dude, do.
Speaker 3 (01:07:42):
Well.
Speaker 2 (01:07:43):
Today, I want to talk about a very unlikely place
that can has been established as still massive with tourists,
unlike anywhere else in the world.
Speaker 3 (01:07:54):
And it's only there because of the salt trade.
Speaker 2 (01:07:57):
Okay, any guesses it sits at the very top of
the Adriatic Sea.
Speaker 3 (01:08:03):
Oh, my favorite sea of all. The sea runs up
the calf of the boot that is Italy. It's I'll
just get there. Then it's Venice. It's Venice.
Speaker 2 (01:08:16):
Okay, so I didn't know this, but Venice harvested its
own soul and had these massive because it's a lagoon.
That's why it is what it is. The water levels
have gone up significantly since it was first. But it's
on the poles, right, It's on the piles, and they
are on the ground and cruise ships can't cruise in
and out anymore because the waves come in and are wrecking.
Like this legendary city built on piles romantic. I've never been.
Speaker 4 (01:08:39):
Oh, it's incredible, it's amazing. Do you remember COVID when
Nature returned to the Venice canals and like dolphins were
there a dolphin? There was no boats?
Speaker 3 (01:08:48):
Yeah, wasn't that fake? A couple of weeks after that
return did Nature nature? Because everything got shut down.
Speaker 2 (01:08:58):
Well, they made the initial money off Venice was made
by a massive evaporation pans in the lagoons, and then
there was some floods and they worked out that they
with the money they had, they could actually make more
money off buying and selling salt than harvesting it. And
they were kind of the gateway into Europe. So they
began importing cheap, coarse salt from across the Mediterranean, from Cyprus,
(01:09:21):
Sardinia and of course you can't have sardines without salt,
can you, No, and North Africa and sold it as
a massive markup.
Speaker 3 (01:09:29):
So they became like this specific salt port.
Speaker 4 (01:09:32):
I had no idea that Venice had anything to do
with salt. I thought it was just masks and love
and love and modes and gondolas and salt and glass
and salt and salt, a lot of salt.
Speaker 3 (01:09:42):
Everything comes back to salt.
Speaker 2 (01:09:43):
They had this ruthless monopoly of the salt supply of
southern Europe and the Adriatic Sea. They were kind of
like the center point between the people that had it
but couldn't sell it and the people who wanted it
but couldn't get it. And that's how monopolies are formed. Wow, okay,
so they were the first. I want me one of
those they am opoly on.
Speaker 3 (01:10:00):
So I'm not sure what I'm anti monopoly till i'm not.
Speaker 2 (01:10:03):
I'm not I'm anti monopoly till i've got one, till
i've got then I'm pro monopoly.
Speaker 3 (01:10:08):
And I'll say things like free market and let the
market decide. But I've got a monopoly. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
I've got a monopoly.
Speaker 2 (01:10:14):
So and fourteen and the fourteen sixties, the Sault Officer
of Venice was solely responsible for funding Renaissance art, giant
marble palaces and military fleets.
Speaker 3 (01:10:26):
That kept making all the money out of it.
Speaker 2 (01:10:28):
Yeah yeah, and then it kicked off and we don't
have time right now to go unto the salt walls
between Venice and the other Italian rivals, and I think
it was kind of the start of the organized crime.
Speaker 4 (01:10:38):
Is salt a thing, like I said, still a thing
that you'd give Venetia.
Speaker 3 (01:10:43):
Stills, but it was off. They were like.
Speaker 2 (01:10:45):
Buying the cheap salt and then just selling it to people.
Is they were getting selling it expensive as like you know,
it's like those people that are marketing by imports some
from Tami and sell.
Speaker 3 (01:10:54):
It for eighteen drop. Yeah, their original salt drop.
Speaker 2 (01:10:58):
Ship and it wouldn't be really drop ship and salt
it wasn't really drop shipping because it was coming through
their pools first, going straight to the person who purchased it.
Speaker 4 (01:11:06):
Yeah right right, not a full drop ship set. We
don't put your own sticker on it.
Speaker 3 (01:11:10):
Ye a soul Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:11:11):
But if you've ever been to Venice, know all of
that nice stuff masks, romance, gondolas, men and fancy hats,
sexy Italians only there, over christ food and overpriced crowned yeah. Yeah,
pocketing and that one dolphin that went out there in
twenty two and I was like, man, that's quite up here.
Speaker 3 (01:11:27):
It's all because of salt.
Speaker 9 (01:11:30):
Fact of the day, day day day day.
Speaker 3 (01:11:35):
Yeah, dude, do.
Speaker 7 (01:11:46):
The z N podcast networks are real play ends Fleshorn

to get the crux of this yarn. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:12:00):
I love cast iron and I can't explain it. I
love steel things. I love cast iron, I love cast
iron cooker. I love getting an old rusty one that
think someone thinks bugger World chokes on them, soaking and
and even give it a wire brush and a heavy
sand and then an oil and a recesson and you
got yourself a beautiful pan that last generations. Yeah, lovel
love cast I just love a non stick from Briscoes.
Speaker 3 (01:12:22):
Was all too much. I always get flitch and Vorn confused.
Speaker 2 (01:12:26):
What was the guy that looks like he likes cast
iron pans and he's got Tifflon energy. Yeah, I can't
iron flitch nail six every time, but he's going to
He's gonna die.
Speaker 3 (01:12:37):
Of Tiflon cancer. Yeah, yeah, that's sort of that.
Speaker 2 (01:12:39):
Well, they said later, like the AI in of the
World's coming, It's coming anyway.
Speaker 3 (01:12:43):
It's coming anyway, So don't worry about.
Speaker 2 (01:12:45):
Imagine if the only thing that can defeat iis cast iron,
and I don't ever know. It's like that movie signs,
So you gotta know that about men, they're good.
Speaker 3 (01:12:51):
Theaty that good.
Speaker 2 (01:12:54):
I went on a hike with some mates one and
a dock hut. We found a cast iron pan. I'm
not leaving that here. That's a great cast iron pan
for the other people. Now, we left one of the
shitty pans we purchased from like the two dollars shop
on the way up, and took the cast iron pan
and my friend Johnny carried it out.
Speaker 3 (01:13:10):
So the pan was riven on as the.
Speaker 2 (01:13:11):
Johnny Nippet Memorial Department of Conservation peach Cove tramp pan. Right,
that's full name. Yeah, lovely gorgeous, So that pan gorgeous,
and set took it home, seasoned it as a great pan.
Then I'm going to shop one day and I see
it's exact twin.
Speaker 4 (01:13:25):
Oh.
Speaker 3 (01:13:25):
I love that, So I buy that Yeah nice, and
I clean it up and I resays it and I
give it to Johnny and now he's got one too,
and then it becomes a thing.
Speaker 2 (01:13:33):
All the lads that went on the trip. I'm gonna
get any of these pants. So he used to it
on Facebook Marketplace because I'm always searching carst alert to you. No,
it's just it was at the top because it knows
I love cast Iron. It's like cast Iron pan Mangaday
fifty bucks and there's a picture of it. I'm like,
that's a deal. It's a triplet yeah to the Johnny Nippermber.
But I messaged the guy. I'm like, it's done, tell
(01:13:55):
me when you're home. He's like, I'm not home now.
I'm now getting a warrant of fitness now. That's That's
not the most marketplace thing response you ever get, apart
from as the silf for sale, which is a button
that's far too easy to hit when you're in the
marketplace tab with the Facebook available are still available, which
is super annoying if you have listed something on there.
Speaker 3 (01:14:13):
And I fully understand that, but I didn't meant to
hit the button.
Speaker 2 (01:14:16):
The other one is I'm not home right now, and
I'm like, that's okay, let me know when you get
home from the Warrener Fitness. Your messages far away from
yours so far, so I don't want to leave work
because it's closer, so I hang around. And then this
guy messages me saying I'm back from the Warrener Fitness
and I said, hold it, I'm on my way.
Speaker 3 (01:14:32):
I'm going to get cash out. I put it in.
Where is it? What's the address?
Speaker 2 (01:14:35):
He gives me the road address, and I'm like, that's
familiar because it's exactly the same address that lured me
to mang Hay about three years ago.
Speaker 3 (01:14:44):
Two other cast iron pants.
Speaker 4 (01:14:45):
Wait, so this guy, what's his deal that.
Speaker 3 (01:14:47):
He has his pad? He just loves I don't know
if he searches for cast Iron. Been to this house
before and I got the run around of my life.
Speaker 2 (01:14:54):
Yeah, I remember, you remember, I'm remember. And he's like,
I'm five minutes away. And then five minutes later, I'm like, hey, mate,
are you far away? Like send him a purchure, got
the cash in hand, He's like, just st up for
someone to eat.
Speaker 3 (01:15:04):
Why don't you go get somebody to eat. I'll meet
you at the house in half an hour.
Speaker 4 (01:15:09):
A stranger.
Speaker 3 (01:15:10):
Don't tell me when to eat. We're on different clocks, homie.
Speaker 2 (01:15:12):
And you know, I finished getting somebody eight and I say, okay,
I'm on my way back and he's like, I've just
popped out. I was like, wait, so you were home,
but now you've popped out. He's like, yea, I'll be
home in another couple of hours. I'm like, around, don't
I don't have Yeah, the Mango day connections to spend
a couple.
Speaker 3 (01:15:26):
Of hours and what have you done?
Speaker 4 (01:15:28):
You can go for a nice walk along the water.
But that's about ten minutes. I'm very far from that part.
You're talking Mangoday Bridge.
Speaker 3 (01:15:34):
I'm in the bridge, you're I'm in the heart of Monge,
some would say, a purist would say Monge. And I'm driving.
I'm like, man, this all feels really familiar. This and
I turned onto the road. I'm like, oh my god,
it's a good exact house. Yeah, I mean, it shouldn't
really come as a surprise. It's in the same suburb
and it's its same item.
Speaker 4 (01:15:56):
No, there's a lot of people I reckon.
Speaker 2 (01:15:58):
Mangaday is a big cast iron community. We're cooking it
over big gas burners and stuff.
Speaker 3 (01:16:07):
You soap on it. Yes, So I pull up, I'll
get out of the car and there he is. He's home.
He's sitting there. I'm like, I'm here for the pan.
He's like I thought you might be. And I said,
I came here a couple of years ago to get
some pans. Why did you make it weird? Why don't
you know, I said, you said?
Speaker 2 (01:16:25):
And he's like, you would have been dealing with my uncle.
That's who taught me how to restore the cast iron pans.
Oh okay, well he's pre restored it. And yeah no,
it's this one's oiled and avery and this is ready
to go. This is ready for delivery to one of
the boys for the cast iron crow does a little touch.
I said, wow, you but the uncle gave me there,
(01:16:46):
and I started telling him the story run around. Uncle
gave me the run around blah blah blah, two cast
iron pans exactly, bhah blah blah blah. And he's like,
oh yeah, he was going through a lot then and
I was like, oh god.
Speaker 3 (01:17:01):
And he's like he's dead now. And I was like,
what did you do that for? Why do you even
bring uspecting? It was just nobody wants you at their
house when it's a march.
Speaker 2 (01:17:13):
And I told him the whole story about how the
pans really important to me because like it's identical to
the ones.
Speaker 3 (01:17:19):
That I got, and.
Speaker 2 (01:17:22):
He's like looking at me, nodding, and I'm like, he
hates I'm trying to make him forget the fact that
I was just like, your uncles are useless. Piece of
ship ran me around, told me that he was going, Yeah,
He's like it was about then that it was all
really happening.
Speaker 3 (01:17:36):
And I was like, sign, why did you keep talking?
Why didn't you shut up?
Speaker 2 (01:17:43):
I mean exactly why he's still talking. Problem has a
bit of awkwardness.
Speaker 3 (01:17:49):
I'm like, what this friend, my friend's been on a
legendary to peach covep Nor. I'm giving you a pan
for fifty bucks. My friend Johnny took the pan anyway.

Speaker 2 (01:21:28):
You knew an old person that had gone to a
retirement home and they I got a Dean's piano.
Speaker 3 (01:21:32):
They couldn't get rid of the piano. I only got a.
Speaker 4 (01:21:34):
I have four pianos growing up, and they got better
as I got better, Like we weren't you only and.
Speaker 2 (01:21:39):
Did you ever have more than one piano at a time?
Two once at a time. We had one piano in
the house growing up, and then for years after anybody
stopped playing. It just became like a shelving unit. They
just do in the kitchen. Why would your parents with
two boys have a piano. Mum played a little bit
of piano. I'd rather played the piano. They thought it
was very important torment growing up, very helpful links the
(01:22:02):
brain and stuff. Yeah, and my sister played the piano
for a little bit, okay, and it was my uncle.
I do believe it was my uncle's piano and he
went into retirement home, so that's how we got it.
Speaker 3 (01:22:12):
I got just got so.
Speaker 2 (01:22:13):
Heavy moole of getting it up the stairs into the house, like,
and then it was too heavy to move.
Speaker 3 (01:22:20):
So I just sat there unused forever and never gets churned.
Speaker 2 (01:22:23):
I was recently telling somebody about this, and they said,
never would have pictured it as a piano family, And
I said, it was one of those things that sat
in the house unused. And we got talking about they
had a family bible. Not a single person in their
family was remotely religious. The family bible sat out there.
Speaker 3 (01:22:36):
Yeah, it's weird that we used to have these things
in our houses. That nobody used, like treadmills you got
from an influential pro and put against the wall, like, yeah,
that's that's what I hang mytael on or that or
that in the moment.
Speaker 2 (01:22:56):
Whatever it is machine that Briscoes is selling that we
like c a pie maker or a popcorn maker.
Speaker 4 (01:23:03):
People with crazy for those popcorn makers, you were like,
you just put a pot. It's just a pot.
Speaker 2 (01:23:06):
You've got a pop I think anything Ninja makes, we've
got to have it. But then how often do we
use the slushing machine? I used it a lot, Yeah,
that's true.
Speaker 3 (01:23:17):
Yeah, the ninja creamy though, You're like, how what you making?
Speaker 2 (01:23:20):
What did I see ninja making the other day? And
I was like like what the ninja juicer?
Speaker 4 (01:23:23):
It's good juicer.
Speaker 3 (01:23:25):
And there was a ninja something else. It's like they've
got us again. Yeah, they make great this stuff. Well,
that's what I want to know this morning. What sits
in your house unused?
Speaker 2 (01:23:34):
Because I don't feel like, like pianos and stuff, we
just don't have them as much anymore.
Speaker 3 (01:23:39):
Like there's that sort of thing.
Speaker 2 (01:23:40):
But appliants is a different There'll be so many more
clients as that don't used by it. Expecting to use
it like exercise bikes and treat les. Whatever it is,
eight hundred dollars at M give us a call. You
can take through nine six nine six.
Speaker 4 (01:23:54):
What was that thing in your house that just doesn't
get used? There's many people messaging and about china cabinets.
Speaker 3 (01:24:00):
Oh did my mom and Dad's trying to get.
Speaker 4 (01:24:03):
You just don't use it.
Speaker 3 (01:24:05):
It's like, what is it for?
Speaker 2 (01:24:07):
I know, like you go all over for a dinner
or family Christmas and they're like, you just need one
more plate or one more glass, and there's one sitting there.
Speaker 4 (01:24:14):
No, I've got a plastic one. Yeah, no, no, don't
touch that. That's for a good thing. You're like, well,
it's Christmas, that's a good thing. This is the good thing, Tracy.
Speaker 3 (01:24:22):
What sits unused in your house?
Speaker 8 (01:24:25):
So back in the eighties, Dad got onto this fitness
thing and he decided he'd buy himself one of those
old ten speed bikes. It was brand new, you bought it.
He rode it twice and then decided it was all
too hard, and so it sat propped up in the
front of our entryway and Mum put plants in front
of them, and it was sat there for so long,
(01:24:47):
all the plants and growing through the spokes of the pipe.
Speaker 3 (01:24:50):
Oh my god, is it still there to this day?
Speaker 8 (01:24:54):
Well, it was there for about twenty years. I should
you're not that true.
Speaker 3 (01:24:58):
Oh my god, that's so good all. I kind of
love that. I love that. It would actually be cool
to have that in your house now.
Speaker 8 (01:25:07):
Family, It was like a family joke, and to this day,
my siblings and I still talk about it. I took
to Mum about just the other day. We were laughing,
which is like, my god, can you believe it set
there for twenty years and we just didn't move it.
These plants just looked beautiful, and it was this ready
color that matched the horrible boom orange carpet we had,
so it was joint.
Speaker 3 (01:25:27):
You're talking real seventies eighties kind of Ye stayhore.
Speaker 4 (01:25:32):
And there's also a sign of how nature will take
over once we're gone.
Speaker 2 (01:25:36):
I like those documentaries grows through. Yeah it does, Tracy,
Thank you, Holly. What it's unused in your house?
Speaker 8 (01:25:45):
The soda stream the thing I beg my husband for.
Speaker 2 (01:25:49):
Do you know I have one? And I use mine
all the time, especially.
Speaker 4 (01:25:53):
Gas babe, And so I just can't be bothered.
Speaker 8 (01:25:55):
Well, mine didn't come with the two gas bottles originally
because I told him I was going to use it
so often. But I've had it for over a year
and i still have those two guests bottles.
Speaker 3 (01:26:04):
I'll take I'll take those off your hands. Off the
pink ones, the.
Speaker 4 (01:26:07):
Pink one, the pink ones pink because they changed.
Speaker 3 (01:26:09):
They changed the pink ones, did they changed?
Speaker 8 (01:26:12):
I need them.
Speaker 4 (01:26:13):
It's going to help me drink way more water.
Speaker 8 (01:26:15):
And I'm going to use it to make mixes for cocktails.
Speaker 2 (01:26:17):
And all the time we had the other night, didn't
We've on We had some Hugo spread side and I
pumped a couple of parts of the soda stream.
Speaker 4 (01:26:25):
I've got a soda stream and I go and get
a sweeps every time.
Speaker 2 (01:26:29):
Every time, Holly, thank you. Some messages in. There's a
clothes steamer in my room. Takes up my small side
of the wardrobe, says Brian. If Hailey want.
Speaker 4 (01:26:39):
Said, it's hers cloth Steamer's trying to sing two of
those in my.
Speaker 3 (01:26:43):
Gar She steamed up. Brian, you were I've got a
came out steamer in the storage. Yeah, it had a gym.
Speaker 2 (01:26:51):
Membership was never going. I thought the problem is I
have to leave the house. I'll get a full gym
equipment set up in the garage. That's that's not been used.
I think it might be the complete lack of discipline.
Would have been nice and lockdowns to have that though.
Speaker 4 (01:27:02):
Yes, I had a bit of a gym set up,
A savior savior.
Speaker 2 (01:27:06):
Lots of people saying since they got married there on
penis is the unused item in the house.
Speaker 3 (01:27:12):
Yeah, I recondondate that go to waste separation.
Speaker 4 (01:27:15):
I used mine more than ever yours your penis?
Speaker 3 (01:27:19):
Yeah, yeah, you want to tell us? Wow, okay, okay, right.
Speaker 9 (01:27:25):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (01:27:25):
Someone said the Ninjas lushing machine had to have it,
didn't I had to have it.
Speaker 3 (01:27:29):
I had to have it. I had to have it.
Four hundred and fifty dollars had to have it. Well,
we share ouns, don't we? But we get good use
out of it.
Speaker 4 (01:27:35):
We get good use out of it if you share
it between friends. Yeah, it's good.
Speaker 3 (01:27:40):
Someone said a T two era trap. Now I don't
know what that is. T two. Well, the T two
was the Tea company, wasn't it.
Speaker 5 (01:27:47):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (01:27:48):
Yes, is the fancy tea.
Speaker 2 (01:27:50):
There might have been Aero trap, Aero era trap E
r a trap. I have a few beautiful sets with
a teapot and matching teacups, so there you go.
Speaker 3 (01:27:59):
Yeah, people used to get the pots and stuff.
Speaker 2 (01:28:00):
You think it's just too pretty to get wrecked or chipped,
so it doesn't get used, it just gets locked at.
Speaker 3 (01:28:06):
Now we tried to call that person. They miss it.
Speaker 2 (01:28:08):
Just back Lol, Sorry, I know you just tried to
call it. I'm actually at a funeral. I've got my
ear pods and I'm listening to z on I because
of this funeral is very boring. Listening on I hear't
right and I believe fantastic KPI And what a fantastical
example of listening to.
Speaker 3 (01:28:23):
Anywhere you go.
Speaker 2 (01:28:25):
Take us with you, three kis.
Speaker 3 (01:28:29):
Because she's at a funeral.
Speaker 2 (01:28:32):
Sorry for your lost I can't talk, said sorry to
have bothered you. They said I didn't like this auntie anyway,
So that passing some time. And if I tell her,
what if you've just had a loved one.
Speaker 3 (01:28:41):
Die and you're not looking forward to the dreariness that
is the funeral and it's a it's a it's a
morning funeral. Laugh out louder. You want to hale live at.
Speaker 4 (01:28:48):
The funeral thought when we say take us with you
where if you go? I never anticipated being in the
pocket of a funeral.
Speaker 3 (01:28:54):
No, I never thought. I never thought funeral. I hope
there's some good food at the Can we get.
Speaker 2 (01:28:58):
A get a red hot? What kind of funeral are we?
Are we at a church or a tonguey? Is it
like a long sort of situation?
Speaker 3 (01:29:06):
So Christian?
Speaker 4 (01:29:07):
What do we?
Speaker 3 (01:29:08):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (01:29:09):
And their asparagus rolls also early.
Speaker 2 (01:29:12):
In the day for a few That's what I was thinking.
But you sleep, tongue sit you're yearly booking, ye keeper.
Cheaper cremation before twelve gases counts an off peak discount
of gas, isn't it? Or they could be using the
free hour of power year power shop, because that's why
I like to be cremating electric.
Speaker 4 (01:29:30):
Can we does all of this cremations?
Speaker 3 (01:29:33):
Just all of them on at once? Yeah, sprinkle the
ashes into five boxes.
Speaker 4 (01:29:37):
Yeah yeah, and then down the shop.
Speaker 3 (01:29:40):
Three two months, flock them, flock them go. You are
twenty three minutes into your free hour of power.
Speaker 2 (01:29:46):
I hope that body is crisping up, because otherwise you
don't want to free the hour and you're still half
in the door.
Speaker 4 (01:29:53):
You're lit in the heater.
Speaker 3 (01:29:54):
Have we are looking? It ain't cooking. I never boils.
Speaker 2 (01:30:00):
We built a new house and bought all of the
Melee appliances, including a steam oven. Pass That steam oven
has been used four times and five years. Yeah, we
have since separated, are no longer than there, and it
still remains unused. We try to sell it our marketplace.
No one wants a stupid steam do them no?
Speaker 3 (01:30:19):
Sort of what do we stay?
Speaker 4 (01:30:20):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 2 (01:30:21):
Stay? I think my partner's eyes have never been used
because the house is a mess and they don't see
that mess for you today, Rory's messaged in if she's
listening at the to zim at the funeral, you better
make sure there's no dead air.
Speaker 3 (01:30:37):
Good for Rory.
Speaker 2 (01:30:39):
So that's where you're listening to the radio. Nothing's happening.
There's been some sort of mistake, some sort of technical error.
Speaker 4 (01:30:44):
So I feel like should we sing? You know, like,
what do you want.
Speaker 3 (01:30:48):
In your it's at every funerals?
Speaker 6 (01:30:55):
Flesh one and Haley.
Speaker 4 (01:30:57):
This is a great debate and I would love to partake.
So there's two sides of this argument here. One is
the death of the house guest, and one is the
benefit of the doorbell friend. They are on either side
of the spectrum. So start with the house guest. Right.
This is the person who gives you a little call
and says, hey, I'm in the area. Can I come
(01:31:19):
and stay.
Speaker 3 (01:31:20):
I'll come and stay, not just come to or I'm
coming up for the weekend. Right for free.
Speaker 4 (01:31:26):
It's a spare room, free or whatever. Flitch. You've accommodated
many of our friends over the years in your spare room.
Speaker 3 (01:31:31):
I love it. It's great.
Speaker 4 (01:31:32):
Couple of days, a couple of days, couple of days. Well,
gin Z in particular are saying no, thank you. I mean,
I'm shocked they have a house to share. But they're
saying no, this is my safe space. This is my sanctuary.
I don't actually want anyone, no matter how close you
are to me, friend, family, whatever, to come and stay
in my space. This is where I unwind.
Speaker 2 (01:31:52):
Is this an argument that's started in New Zealand australag
Australia has because I.
Speaker 3 (01:31:58):
Feel like we're very accommodating.
Speaker 2 (01:31:59):
We's a little Australia.
Speaker 4 (01:32:01):
Okay, Yeah, they're saying sixty percent of Ossie travelers in particular,
now it would just immediately get a hotel and the
near BMB. If they were traveling into a different town
where friends lived, they wouldn't even consider going. Oh, I
could just stay at Fletchers, or I could just stay
at Varns, or it's free.
Speaker 3 (01:32:16):
Yeah, even though it's free.
Speaker 4 (01:32:18):
And I kind of get this as someone who's like,
I want to spend the time catching up with you,
but at the end of the day, it is nice to.
Speaker 3 (01:32:24):
To go back in my own hundred percent.
Speaker 4 (01:32:27):
So one side of the Internet is saying, hell, yeah,
get out of my house, please go away.
Speaker 3 (01:32:32):
That's stressful.
Speaker 4 (01:32:33):
The other side, this other article, which was about the
doorbell friend, they're saying we need to make more space
for doorbell friends and less space for friendships that needs structure.
So so you've got friends that are like, take you know,
one thousand hours to plan a catch up, and you find,
you know, it feels like a big heavy thing. The
benefit is the doorbell friends, someone who just like bingbong, Hey,
(01:32:53):
what's up. I'm in the neighborhood. Let's catch up. Fifteen minutes,
have a drink, have a coffee, heaviteen, then I'll leave. Yeah,
And you're like, best cos are the best time. We're
just like oh, I god, I've got an hour to
kill yeah, bing bong, or like you know, come meet
me here quick, little doorbell friends, little text. But that
is making the people who are like no house skiss
panic even more because the idea of someone's doorbell ringing
(01:33:13):
or your door knocking and you're not prepared or.
Speaker 2 (01:33:15):
Even just an hour's notice a text, Yeah, your place
might not be nice. Yeah, I think you're Some people
get a bit like they, oh, I've got to clean up, dude.
Speaker 3 (01:33:23):
It was me yesterday. As we mentioned earlier in the show,
that's up merassonly.
Speaker 4 (01:33:26):
Here if someone came around and be like no, yeah,
no you can't lock in. Yeah, I think I'm more.
I think I'm more house gissed team house skiss, Like
just come and stay in my house in a structured manner.
Speaker 3 (01:33:38):
Yea, come for a couple of nights, but not a week.
Speaker 4 (01:33:40):
Then I am for if you just surround, feel free
to knock on my door and like come on over.
Speaker 2 (01:33:45):
Yeah I don't like that. That makes it because playing
my day, Yeah, you're putting my day out.
Speaker 4 (01:33:51):
Yeah, and you're just sort of here and I'm wearing
whatever I'm wearing, and yeah, no, thank you well, of course,
you guys are welcome in my house anytime especially. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:34:03):
Okay, if you had to rate review or marry Fletch,
Vaughn or Hailey, what one would it be?
Speaker 4 (01:34:09):
Okay, I would marry Hailey. I would have six. Wait
which one is?
Speaker 1 (01:34:17):
No?
Speaker 2 (01:34:17):
No, no, no, it's only rate review Mary, Okay, no comment.
Speaker 3 (01:34:22):
Six it's a podcast. I don't know.
Speaker 4 (01:34:23):
They wouldn't give us a sixty little review though
Speaker 3 (01:34:26):
Play Zi ms, Fletchborne and Hailey
