Speaker 1 (00:00):
From the Zidim podcast network.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
This is from the Police Haley's Big Pod.

Speaker 3 (00:05):
Thanks to animates making Happy Happened for bits. Good morning
broadcasting from our christ Church studios this morning.

Speaker 4 (00:13):
I know I love coming down to christ Church. Someone
asked me because Ed Shearan was in Auckland as well,
and they were like, why'd you come down? Because we
genuinely just love coming down here.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
Although as you heard BRNN just mention, not a lot
of sunshine old Weekend.

Speaker 4 (00:29):
Yeah, I like it. As someone who runs hot, I
could probably do it.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
You know, you do run hot. Yeah, been complaining about
ubers a lot in temperatures.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
We can get into that. La bloody hell Vaughn. You've
got the top six for us this morning. Yeah, Well, TikTok.

Speaker 3 (00:45):
You know, there was that big rigamarole that it had
to be owned by Americans to continue to be an
Americans in America. They were spying on our TikTok likes
and views when they were figuring us out. Yeah, well,
I've got the top six signs that our TikTok is
slowly becoming American. Okay, it's developed new and dangerous habits. Well,

(01:07):
I've also got something to contribute to what.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
Would you like to contribute?

Speaker 4 (01:11):
One's got his butt and I'd like a b. I've
got the top six.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
Signs are the six? I don't know?

Speaker 4 (01:19):
Okay, I've got the signs that you might be a
bad kisser, bad kisser before?

Speaker 1 (01:25):
No, but what if you were the bad kisser? No? No, no, no,
I've been told, you've been told. Are you sure?

Speaker 3 (01:31):
Maybe they would have stroken my ego telling you it
was good and the hopes that you would get better
that I.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
Would Yeah, yeah, have sorted out. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:39):
Next on the show, though, don't worry. Gravity's not going anywhere.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
Fletchborne and Haley big Pod.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
Well, I can say it now. It's been debunked.

Speaker 3 (01:50):
It is a ridiculous internet myth that the Earth was
going to lose gravity for seven seconds on August the twelfth,
twenty twenty six this year.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
I reckon if you could take a gain? Is as
to who posed this idea to talk about that?

Speaker 3 (02:04):
So?

Speaker 1 (02:04):
I think if you said, Shannon, you'll be on the
money beyond the money shon floor.

Speaker 4 (02:09):
Currently, I said, come and explain yourself, and she said no,
she's embarrassed.

Speaker 3 (02:14):
Now apparently this went viral on TikTok that there was
a leaked NASA project called Project Anchor, which had an
eighty nine billion dollar budget, and it claims that millions
would die on August the twelfth this year when gravity
would turn off for seven seconds turn off, objects would float.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
You know, well you would I assume.

Speaker 3 (02:32):
Of gravity if you were jumping at the time. If
we knew this was coming, If we knew this was coming,
I'd probably no, just go and sit in the car
and put the seatbelt on it. But then the car,
the car necessarily flow, not necessarily unless you were in it.
You put your seat bet on and I waited for
it to gravity stop, and then I flipped the car.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
What about Why would you do that? That's terrible? Why
would you floor always on the flip the car?

Speaker 4 (03:00):
I would tear myself to a large tree. I'm talking
like tiny mat.

Speaker 3 (03:06):
Yeah, okay, this is why this is Project Anchor. And then,
of course, been gravity switch back on, everything would crash
back down. Now this bullshit was up. See this was
because of intersecting gravitational ways from colliding black holes, which
NASA has known about for years. So people brought into
it because there was the science sounded like NASA black

(03:27):
holes probabilities seven seconds, like all of these specifics.

Speaker 1 (03:31):
Yeah, but of course it's it's not true. It's all nonsense.
Gravity is not a switch.

Speaker 3 (03:36):
Gravitational waves a week like, they're not going to affect
our gravity unless you know, look, if it's going to
affect their gravity, it's going to eat us up. Yeah,
black is going to swallow us up. So gravity turning
off for seven seconds is going to be the least
of our worries.

Speaker 1 (03:49):
So we news for.

Speaker 4 (03:50):
Tits, you know, globally for test tests, okay.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
Rather than being weighed down. Yeah, waitless for a second. Yeah,
unless of course you're running at the time and you
had large breasts and then you went down and up
and the extra pol punched in the face and then
spun you around, flipped and then you hit back down
seven seconds later.

Speaker 1 (04:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (04:13):
So yeah, they just say it doesn't exist, project anchors
never exist, that it will clip bait, non nonsense, and
people just put bored into it because it is the
day of an eclipse, right, but again, eclipse has got
nothing to do with the gravitational forces of a black hole.
But you know what, the Internet, this is not going
to be put to rest until we've passed that date
in August.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, and still it was still float around. Yeah,
those crazy cults in the end of the world.

Speaker 3 (04:38):
Yeah, because remember in twenty twelve when everyone thought the
world was going to end in one day, and then
it got to twenty sixteen, and it just feels like
it's been ending in a progressive slope ever since. They
just keep bumping out the date, these crazies, don't they.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
I would say it feels more, you know, like it's
going to end now more than ever.

Speaker 5 (04:53):
Oh yeah, the Fletchhorn and Haley beg.

Speaker 4 (04:57):
Pod now signs that you you might be a bad kisser.
This would be devastating. I'd be devastated if I was
a bad kisser.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
Well, how would you know, though, I've kissed myself. You interesting.

Speaker 3 (05:10):
Okay, if you met someone and they looked exactly like.

Speaker 4 (05:13):
You, I'd make out with them if there was a
way that I could get out of my body and
then kiss myself.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
But what if the whole experience was terrible and you
had to confront it. Well, it's better to know.

Speaker 4 (05:28):
Yeah, if you had to tell anyone, that's a bad curse. No, No,
I've had to, but I didn't.

Speaker 3 (05:35):
Yeah, I see what you're saying. Yeah, no, it'd be
a horrible thing to say to someone. You just don't
ever talk to them again.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
That's right.

Speaker 4 (05:43):
I'll never forget the feeling though of a ball a ball, sorry,
a bar bell, like.

Speaker 3 (05:50):
A tongue stud you're breaking in the.

Speaker 1 (05:55):
Okay, okay, here's some size that you might be a
bad curser.

Speaker 4 (05:58):
You've got bad breath place, that's a classic. You've got
to freshen up. Get one of those lisserine strips.

Speaker 1 (06:04):
They burst. It's just like having the mouth a strap.
Those are awful, lamb. You're not you're not.

Speaker 4 (06:10):
Paying attention to how your partner wants to be cursed.
Because if you're a good cause, you can kind of
like lead something.

Speaker 1 (06:15):
Get into the rhythm of it all or the rhythm and.

Speaker 4 (06:18):
If you're if they're wanting a nice, soft, sensual one
and you're h you've got to be listening. Yeah, hey,
this is a good one. Actually, you're not using your body.
You're not engaging any other part of your body. You're
just using the mouth.

Speaker 3 (06:31):
What do you mean, like you should be like arms
and moving and grabbing and holding.

Speaker 4 (06:36):
Yeah, yeah, little hands hands on the face, hands on
the back, of the head, hands on the you know wherever.

Speaker 1 (06:42):
If you're just those hips. Baby, let's get this all
the hips.

Speaker 4 (06:45):
Don't be too don't be too stiff, right, you get
too intense too quickly. You got to start slow, right,
unless it's one of those you're getting ravished.

Speaker 3 (06:57):
Yeah, but you ran to see them the airport. Gee,
you tell them, don't leave, stay with me.

Speaker 4 (07:05):
Yeah, I have to go. And they turn and then
they look at each other. There's a big pregnant pause.

Speaker 3 (07:10):
And then no, no, no, and then they're tackled by
airport security because they don't have a boarding pass. It
doesn't matter if entered the passengers only area. But movies
wouldn't work nowadays. I'm just saying that these romantic movies
wouldn't work these days.

Speaker 1 (07:23):
May take off your doc Martins to you know what
I mean.

Speaker 4 (07:27):
You keep tilting your head the opposite way that your
partner is, So we need to both be going left
or both be going.

Speaker 1 (07:34):
Right, so then we're yeah, you know we're not. But
if you're married, everybody goes off. Who who needs to
know that?

Speaker 4 (07:42):
Do you know they did research? Most people tilt their
head to the right when they curse.

Speaker 3 (07:46):
Okay, Well, if we were just going to cass, I'd
go lift.

Speaker 1 (07:53):
We can never curse.

Speaker 3 (07:54):
No, I'd go right, Yeah, it's right, that's right.

Speaker 1 (07:58):
I know you can't see it, right, you can't hear it.
But we are closing.

Speaker 3 (08:01):
We've got a whole meter and a half distance here
we are, and.

Speaker 1 (08:07):
Uh, there's a lot.

Speaker 4 (08:08):
There's so many tips that you're a terrible kisser. And
also as sign that you're a good casser, is that
the person just keeps coming back for more.

Speaker 3 (08:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (08:15):
Yeah, that's as exists of tongue saliva, too aggressive, too fast,
pull technique, bumping teeth, wrong head tilt.

Speaker 1 (08:21):
Oh what about smash teeth. It's horrible.

Speaker 3 (08:27):
It's a different sort of pain, smashing teeth on teeth.
It's so embarrassing, the real nerve pain all teeth.

Speaker 1 (08:34):
Terrible casser. See I told you?

Speaker 5 (08:37):
Does that n EN podcast network From the Fletchforn and
Haley group chat.

Speaker 1 (08:41):
This is the top six.

Speaker 3 (08:44):
Well, the talk started in August twenty twenty that Donald
Trump said it's got no place in America. TikTok's got
no place in America unless it's American owned.

Speaker 1 (08:54):
Well, yeah, because it's a national security three. Yeah, national security.

Speaker 3 (08:58):
There well, the good news is that it has now
eighty percent owned by three managing investors, because you're the
big The big worry was that it was Chinese on
and they might have access to information. Now it's owned
by Oracle Private Equity Group, Silver Lake and an ABU
Derby based investment firm. ABU Derby is of course in Minnesota.

(09:21):
It's my favorite part of.

Speaker 1 (09:25):
Derby. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (09:26):
Yeah, so they own eighty percent of it. It's all
being signed off and immediately tektok has started to feel American.
I've got the top six science tektoks American. Okay, okay,
number six on the list. It's got some it's got
a nicheen for some ventanyl agi for the ventanyl Yeah,
number five on the list of the top six science
tiktoks becoming American. It has just purchased an IF one

(09:46):
fifty four truck. Yeah, full ticked up, full finance, Okay,
no doubt or anything. They do like lots of leases
over there, like people lease cars, yeah, because it's a
tax ride off.

Speaker 1 (09:57):
Right, it's weird. At least they can't not owner.

Speaker 3 (09:59):
No your long term Lisa, you know, like workplaces, lease fleets. Maybe,
lots of people.

Speaker 1 (10:05):
Least cars in America rather than just buy them. Oh yeah,
it's weird.

Speaker 3 (10:09):
I Number four on the list of the top sex signs.
Tiktoks becoming American.

Speaker 1 (10:12):
It's good.

Speaker 3 (10:12):
Its iron Greenland. I'm not sure why. It's really like
looking at Greenland, It's like, yeah, I love a bit
of that. God, the world's crazy at the moment, isn't
it. It is really crazy America. Yeah, Iran, that's some craziness
going on there behind the scenes as well.

Speaker 1 (10:27):
Yeah, a lot of craziness.

Speaker 3 (10:28):
You're run craziness. Number three on the list of the
top six signs. Tiktoks becoming American. It just purchased the
gun for it's for protection. Well, you know, you've got
to fight fire with fire.

Speaker 1 (10:37):
Yeah. Yeah, there's simply no other way. I've got guns.
I'm going to need a gun. There's that gun fire.
I've got guns.

Speaker 3 (10:42):
We've all got guns, and no one's going to fire
it until we need to fire our gun. And number
two on the list of the top sex signs, Tiktoks
becoming American. It's meal portion sizes of skyrocketed. It's eating
a lot now.

Speaker 1 (10:53):
I went from a smaller Yeah.

Speaker 3 (10:56):
God, you always come back from holiday in America Lake
and you've always you noticed how stretch times it's a
different as so bad. Yeah, and you finish a meal
and you're still hunger and you're like to put back
on my American port.

Speaker 1 (11:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (11:07):
And number one and the least of the top six
science techtoks becoming American.

Speaker 1 (11:10):
It's just joined a biga church.

Speaker 3 (11:11):
Oh yeah, yeah, love a big fat love a big
fat ye church, huge garish sort of a thing. Yeah,
hell of a show on every Sunday. That is today's
top six play. I went to the supermarket on Saturday morning.
By the way, elite time to go to the supermarket
the first thing Saturday morning, eight am. I was there

(11:35):
sort of just after opening. Here's my reasons why no
one's there. Yep, freshly stopped everything. Oh really, because they
stop it and they put it out in the morning overnight,
don't they.

Speaker 1 (11:47):
Or it's left over from the night before. Oh yeah.

Speaker 3 (11:50):
Either you still get your pick and it's not hard
to pick what you want anyway. There was a there
was mangoes. Oh yeah, and I love stopping and looking
at the mango. They're so expense exp it's a mango.
It's the best part of traveling somewhere where mangoes are
so plentiful and cheap, and you buy them pre cut
because that's a bit of a nightmare for.

Speaker 1 (12:08):
Her and white.

Speaker 3 (12:10):
You just get used to eating them and they yarm
and then you go back here and they're like eighteen
dollars a mango. There was a time where there were
fifteen dollars for a mango. Was like, who's buying a
mango for fifty dollars? Nobody?

Speaker 1 (12:21):
So I was.

Speaker 3 (12:22):
Looking at the mangos, admiring the mangoes. How much were
they eat?

Speaker 1 (12:25):
Five?

Speaker 3 (12:26):
That's still too expensive because fifty percent of it is
that weird pep. Yeah yeah, the piffy stone. Yeah, the stone,
it's a stone. Nah, yeah, it's for it's do you
get control? Do you know how to cut them? You
cut them down the middle around, hug the stone and
then down and then you cresscross it and then poke.

Speaker 1 (12:48):
It inside out, push it squares way. That's why you're
supposed to do it.

Speaker 3 (12:52):
But so I was admiring the mango, and the lady
stopped next to me and she said, excuse me, could
I get your opinion on what is which one of
these is a good mango you've got.

Speaker 1 (13:02):
I said, oh, I apologize. I don't know. I know
the tap tap truck on the watermelon. Yeah, in a watermelon,
and it goes the good ones goo.

Speaker 3 (13:13):
I know the evocado flip the bang, flip flick the
top and they have a lot and if it goes
in it's good, right, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I'd pop
it off. And you're looking at it and whatever color
is in the top is what color you're going to
get in there?

Speaker 1 (13:24):
You don't what do you mean?

Speaker 3 (13:26):
It doesn't mean yeah, And if it doesn't come off,
it's not ready. It's yeah, it's under right. So I
know I am avocado and watermelon, and I think the
watermelon truck works on a rock melon, but I'd never
buy a rock melon. I just squeeze the mango or like,
if it's too green color, I know you can get it.

Speaker 1 (13:45):
You can't.

Speaker 3 (13:46):
I just give it a squeeze and if it's a
little soft. And I said, I'm sorry, I don't know
what makes a good man. And she said, I apologize.
You had the look about you.

Speaker 1 (13:54):
You're a mango man.

Speaker 3 (13:55):
You don't have a mango man. You don't have the
look of a mango man. Got the look of a
mango man. I'm a sure, said this woman thought I
had the look of a mango man.

Speaker 4 (14:02):
You have the look of someone that would know like
a good can of beans, you know, but not mango?

Speaker 3 (14:08):
What he is?

Speaker 1 (14:09):
Hearty eat? You know you don't know.

Speaker 3 (14:12):
I've got a meal in a can, big meal in
a can.

Speaker 1 (14:15):
I'm a can. You're don't gonna be stewing the can.
It's man's mon's the mega man.

Speaker 3 (14:23):
Give a big twenty four pack of white bun yeah
me and walking off.

Speaker 1 (14:29):
In a can? A know that't a meal in a can.

Speaker 3 (14:35):
It's the most insulted you've ever been with anything I've
hed to.

Speaker 1 (14:39):
Said to you can, it's definitely not mango. No, it's yeah,
this is going to be.

Speaker 3 (14:46):
It's, however, hall of an email for HR to come
back to when they get back to it tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (14:49):
But I'm boarding you.

Speaker 3 (14:51):
My workmates, They said, I have the look of a
man who looks like he's a stew out of a can.

Speaker 1 (14:57):
Does I don't need to out of a does that?

Speaker 5 (15:02):
M Podcast Network plays ms Hailey.

Speaker 1 (15:09):
Silly Little pool, silly.

Speaker 3 (15:13):
It is so silly.

Speaker 1 (15:14):
Silly, silly, that silly, silly little pole silly.

Speaker 3 (15:25):
Sell a little pole. When you're on holiday, what's your vibe?
Is it chill or is it party?

Speaker 4 (15:30):
M I was I actually I was using chat GPT.
I love chat y. That's Boris Johnson by the way,
saying chet gipt one of our favorite things. But I
was making a little plan, like we should I go,
and it was like, what is your party to chill?

Speaker 1 (15:49):
Ratio was the question.

Speaker 4 (15:51):
I was asked, what a great question, And I was like,
that's so good to curate a a little trip for me.

Speaker 3 (15:56):
It's not so much being able to party, but I
want like a big or I want like a lot
to do. You can't sit still, Yeah, so you can't.

Speaker 1 (16:05):
Being on a beach for a week.

Speaker 3 (16:07):
While that's beautiful, and that's some people's perfect idea of
a holiday, it is not.

Speaker 1 (16:11):
I'll go mad him thumbing a book.

Speaker 3 (16:13):
Whereas if there's a beach like Hawaii is a perfect example.
You've got beaches everywhere all around the island beautiful, but
then you've also got like, you know, you know, all
kinds of stuff.

Speaker 1 (16:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (16:26):
Well, the most common answer was far closer to the
chill end of the scaling a sliding scale. Yeah, I'd
say probably a quarter, a quarter to chill. Like three
quarters of people were like chill yep, one quarter party, Right,
that's the thing you want to break from work. You're
thinking about this break where you can just relax and

(16:47):
chill and have no worries at all.

Speaker 1 (16:49):
Yeah, lot, he says.

Speaker 3 (16:50):
If I'm on holidays to relax from the hell that
is life, I don't need parties that hangovers.

Speaker 1 (16:55):
I need chill spaces and good company. The hell that
is hell life.

Speaker 3 (17:00):
You asked me in my early twenties, maybe even in
my early thirties, I would have said party.

Speaker 1 (17:03):
Who hey, hoho ha her words, not mine.

Speaker 3 (17:07):
But as an almost thirty nine year old, give me
a hike with a viewer and a beach and a book. Yeah,
say no more too old and two party tired to party?
I just want to sit down, And says Lou, You've
forgot the third option, adventure. If you're going to hit
you and but if you're going to hear this a
thousand times completely depends, so I'll smack bang in the middle.

Speaker 1 (17:28):
Actually, bang is the fourth option.

Speaker 3 (17:30):
So you've got party relaxed adventure and Bang says everyone's.

Speaker 1 (17:36):
Holiday bang for sure.

Speaker 3 (17:37):
Ashley said, party without the partying. I travel alone, and
I just can't relax when holiday, and so I make
my days jam packed with stuff and I'm usually up
early for twos and not back till late.

Speaker 1 (17:46):
Got to make the most of it. Yeah, agreed, that's awesome.
That's that's the flitch philosophy.

Speaker 3 (17:51):
Yeah, philosophy, Logan said, what end does?

Speaker 1 (17:56):
Can't say?

Speaker 3 (17:57):
Still, So walks everywhere and goes to every museum to
the point point that I'm more tired at the end.

Speaker 1 (18:01):
Of the trip. Where does that fit on there? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (18:03):
And you need a holiday from your holiday holiday?

Speaker 1 (18:06):
Yeah, holiday, that's You've.

Speaker 3 (18:08):
Really got to plan your holiday well and have a
bit of downtime.

Speaker 1 (18:11):
Yeah, yeah, at the tail end.

Speaker 3 (18:13):
And you don't need to go to every museum. I'm sorry,
but you don't.

Speaker 1 (18:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (18:17):
Once you've seen one Mona Lisa, all the Lisas start
to look the same.

Speaker 1 (18:20):
Yeah they do.

Speaker 3 (18:21):
I'm in Thailand right now, says Ben, and had a
great night partying last night, and I'm now looking forward
to three days relaxing on the beach doing nothing to recoup.
Then I should think I shall repeat the cycle. So
so kind of a good party balance here, party chill balance. Yeah,
and Thailand's perfect for that. Lagan says, my life's always busy,
so when I'm on holiday, I want to relax. You're
nice and David, why not both? Yeah, you can do it.

(18:44):
You can do it, but you got to know what
party hard and then rest hard and recoup. We asked
you when you go on holiday, what's your vivors at
chill or party?

Speaker 1 (18:51):
And far more of you are saying chill.

Speaker 2 (18:54):
Then in podcast needwork.

Speaker 4 (18:55):
One thing you might not know about our lovely flitch
here is that the man is rather passionate about Leamington's
in particular. I've seen him travel quite far for Leamington
in Australia. You like the Seven eleven Wies. They're so trash,
but they're so young. I was so obsessed with they
are delicious. All the times I've been to Australia, they're like.

Speaker 1 (19:15):
Wait, did you bring me one back from the other weekend?
I didn't.

Speaker 3 (19:19):
It just means you have to go in the declear line.
So I'd just rather eat the moment. Know that's if
you bring them back are clears, You've got to go
in the declair line.

Speaker 1 (19:29):
They'll take the clear off you.

Speaker 3 (19:31):
Only clear you you.

Speaker 1 (19:35):
Go back through the de Lamington line. Oh she liked that.

Speaker 3 (19:38):
Wown't the only one.

Speaker 4 (19:40):
Laughing at that. I mean she's a lame asleep, so
she's delarious. She's delirious. But you love a Lamington, you know,
like I can, I can leave it.

Speaker 3 (19:51):
I love when you find a cafe and they've done
a bougie homemade.

Speaker 1 (19:54):
With the coconut threads.

Speaker 3 (19:56):
Yeah, it's BEAUTI they do run the risk of being
a little dry.

Speaker 1 (20:00):
Yes, that's what They've got to be cream.

Speaker 3 (20:02):
You gotta be cream and jammed in the middle and
you've got to have a nice thck iicing.

Speaker 4 (20:05):
So Leamington's, we love Leamington love the huh. Now I'm
gonna switch bisk Off. We love bisc Off, you love it.
We love Shannon's Piscof slice lo cake and it's kind
of biscoff is it's all the rage when we had
the bisc Off yogurt thing. This is correct and it
was that was so good. So in Australia they're now

(20:26):
doing at Woolies. Yeah, biscoff Leamington's. How do they so
imagine the outside where you would usually have your coconut
yep coashang and the icing. It's been coated in biscoff
biscuit crumbs.

Speaker 1 (20:41):
Like dust or crumbs like.

Speaker 3 (20:44):
Chickencare cream, looks like a KFC like chicken, or like
those ice ice creams that.

Speaker 1 (20:53):
You've got that look like they're a chicken wing also
a chicken.

Speaker 4 (20:57):
So apparently they're amazing, and the labor inside is bisk
off as well, closed an actual bisk off.

Speaker 1 (21:04):
They're just they're just from the.

Speaker 4 (21:05):
Woollly Now do we have them at our No? Because
I just went on, yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm just watching
a girl eat them. She's got an intolerable face.

Speaker 3 (21:17):
But why does she have an intolerable face?

Speaker 4 (21:19):
I'm just gonna show you all right, Okay, do you
know what I mean? Just sort of like look like
she'd be like, Hi, guys, I'm here trying the new
will Live Biscoff all Kittens.

Speaker 1 (21:30):
Why don't you play it?

Speaker 3 (21:31):
I'm sure that's exactly what it sounds.

Speaker 1 (21:33):
Hang on, let's see.

Speaker 4 (21:37):
Oh sorry, I don't know how to works.

Speaker 1 (21:44):
It's mute. Sweet. I was so wait she said it's
got caramel in it.

Speaker 3 (21:52):
This is.

Speaker 1 (22:00):
Okay. Well, if we know of anybody going Australia, they're
going to need to get some.

Speaker 4 (22:04):
So I'm on the Woolworths en Z website. They do
have they do have a recipe to make.

Speaker 3 (22:12):
Your own all right, but not the actual So.

Speaker 4 (22:14):
You get a wooly sponge cake and you get your
bisco of bies.

Speaker 1 (22:19):
You're going to freeze a sponge if you want to
make a good Lamington. That's the rule.

Speaker 3 (22:22):
That's the tap is that holds its shape.

Speaker 1 (22:26):
You're giving it a dip. Otherwise, if it's a warm sponge,
it will just disintegrate. An idiot.

Speaker 3 (22:31):
Oh yeah, with a sponge, can't it? Put it in
the freezer and then dip it later and.

Speaker 1 (22:36):
Then dip it in the well. Yeah, when am I
next going to Australia seeing well?

Speaker 3 (22:44):
Yeah, but these are also the kind of product that's
going to sell out because they look delicious.

Speaker 1 (22:48):
Yeah, these are viral plays.

Speaker 2 (22:49):
It ends flesh one and Haley.

Speaker 4 (22:52):
We're in lovely christ Church today. We saw its Charan
last night for a good for a good.

Speaker 3 (22:59):
And whodos to anyone that stood in the rain and
cold and like the twelve degrees or whatever it was?

Speaker 1 (23:04):
Vibes were hide When he told us to jump man,
we all jumped. It was good fun.

Speaker 4 (23:08):
But we decided to come down a day earlier, so
we could enjoy the plethora, the plethora, the plethora of
delicious treats and things to do and see and eat
in christ Church.

Speaker 1 (23:19):
And so we went up for dinner on Saturday.

Speaker 4 (23:21):
Yes, and then afterwards, you know, we had a couple
of cocky taraleys at dinner. We decided we wanted one more,
so we went down to Riverside Markets and had a
couple of cocktails. At what point at which point the
boys started yawning. Yes, Fletchervaorn had the yns on and
there was.

Speaker 3 (23:37):
Some sideways rain. Yeah, you were get Were I a
little bit drizzled on? I had to hide under a
blanket at our table. Yeah, yeah, you were miserb I'd
say miserable described miserable weather.

Speaker 4 (23:48):
And it was like that would be such a great time,
lovely evening, you know, little buzz on ball, full of food,
great drinks.

Speaker 1 (23:56):
I mean, Vaughne got us a bloody margarita tower.

Speaker 3 (23:59):
Yeah, yes, it was a great wild It was a
wild move.

Speaker 1 (24:02):
Yeah. But you guys, well you would have been telling
you dollar for dollar was the chieves spaded by around
of drinks.

Speaker 3 (24:08):
Yeah, I'd kind of stopped listening to your economics about cocktails. Yeah, cocktails,
cocktailer comics yea, yeah yeah, so you guys would have
been tucked up as sleep by.

Speaker 1 (24:19):
Ten yeah, easy yeah yeah again easy yeah. Well, my
friend and I decided that we were going to stay
out for one or two more.

Speaker 3 (24:29):
Yeah, because you said, I'm just not quite ready. I'll
have what We'll have one or two more. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (24:34):
Popped up to mister Bright's side, which we actually always
end up going to.

Speaker 1 (24:37):
It's such a great spot, rooftop bar, and.

Speaker 4 (24:42):
I, hand on heart, was not that intoxicated. Okay, okay,
you're like when you we left, when you left, you
know that we were you know, it wasn't we weren't
like well on the way yep. I literally get up
the lift to the rooftop bar. I take maybe three
steps and suddenly I'm on the.

Speaker 3 (25:03):
Floor and Nan had a slop.

Speaker 4 (25:08):
Nan looked like she was that gal you know that
just walked to a bar and hit the deck. And
I was like so confused by what had happened that
I just woked what walked?

Speaker 1 (25:19):
Bu dulf asked over.

Speaker 4 (25:21):
But because it had been so rainy, everyone who was
standing by the bar had dripped themselves over the floor,
right and then I was trying to say to people
that clearly saw because I squealed rather loudly.

Speaker 3 (25:36):
I'm not drunk a loud thing. I think. Really, when
you're the person that hits the floor, you're living it,
so you don't hear it as well as everybody else
at real slap whack.

Speaker 4 (25:47):
Yeah, And I got to tell you, oh, you know,
I'm not petite, you know, so I.

Speaker 1 (25:51):
Did, But I kept trying to say.

Speaker 4 (25:52):
Oh, no, there's a weird pitch there, there's a puddle,
there's a puddle, trying to like really justify that I
wasn't that intoxicatedly hit the deck.

Speaker 3 (26:01):
It was terrifying. So that was when you first went
into the bar. What about when you left?

Speaker 1 (26:06):
I left.

Speaker 3 (26:08):
Without my phone, ye, and without your Hugo Boss jacket,
your boss jacket. I don't know a lot about Hugo
Boss other than designed Nazi uniforms.

Speaker 1 (26:18):
I designed Nazi uniforse, so you know, it's got a
nice shoulder on it. It's got a great shoulder on it,
you know.

Speaker 4 (26:24):
And I've got to tell you that was one of
my ideas. We got my phone in the end, right,
I've got a tendency to do that the.

Speaker 1 (26:31):
Hugo Boss jacket gone with shop jacket.

Speaker 4 (26:34):
It was shocked by a Hugo Boss. It was like
a Dens blazer. But I loved it.

Speaker 1 (26:38):
I just thrash that. Yeah, I know it was.

Speaker 4 (26:41):
Navy blow perfect fat, like great over size fat.

Speaker 3 (26:45):
Did you go back to the bars the next day
going in?

Speaker 1 (26:50):
How embarrassing.

Speaker 4 (26:50):
I literally walked in and fell over on my ass. Yeah,
and I devastated. RP and and good luck to that jacket.

Speaker 3 (26:58):
Yeah, because it wasn't near So someone it's got. It's
got a new owner. I hope they get the love. Yeah,
you got out of it. They remember lose it. They
can't be angry either because they got it when somebody
else lost it.

Speaker 1 (27:12):
It's the sisterhood of the traveling jacket. It is. It
is yeah, yeah, and a man's jacket.

Speaker 3 (27:16):
Also after your wild night weird because I didn't see
it at the gym class we'd booked into I Want to
talk about at nine o'clock gym clas fifteen and thought
that was ambitious. I saved a bike next to myself
FI and I looked down at my fine friends and
she was at the hotel.

Speaker 1 (27:31):
Yeah. I was like, I don't think she's coming. I
got in.

Speaker 4 (27:35):
I know, I got in at three thirty am.

Speaker 1 (27:38):
Yeah, I knew that wasn't happening.

Speaker 4 (27:40):
And I will say when I got in, I didn't
immediately go to sleep, And yeah, I was never gonna
make that class. I actually got ended up getting out
a bit at midday.

Speaker 3 (27:52):
Yeah, okay, Well, I guess Project Get Hot starts again today. Yeah,
she stood a big RECETI recent reset it.

Speaker 5 (28:00):
In podcast Needwork plays it in Splitch one and Haley.

Speaker 3 (28:05):
Now old Nana was slipping over in a bar and
losing her phone in her jacket. Producer Shannon went and
caught up with a friend who owns a bar, kind
of owns a bar, kind of owns a bar.

Speaker 1 (28:19):
Own we could have been at that bar.

Speaker 4 (28:22):
Paid every single drink that I drank on Saturday.

Speaker 1 (28:26):
And we've got a bar hook up.

Speaker 3 (28:30):
Drinks. Was telling yesterday when we were at Faedidies and
were sitting having a bit of a ketch up about
everybody Saturday. She was saying, oh, and this guy came
out to me and he had on me. And then
this guy came up and said can you take a
photo of me? And I was like, no, thanks, I've
got a boyfriend, and I was just like what she
described as flurry of situations where I think people were
just being friendly and nice and chicken on her and sorry,
I've got a boyfriend.

Speaker 1 (28:50):
She is a boyfriend sitting by yourself at a bar,
and some guys like, cauld I buy you a drink.

Speaker 3 (28:56):
She's like, sorry, I've got a boyfriend. Like it's cool.
He's like, oh, okay, cool, let's cool. Go back to
sitting by yourself, loser, please your cool boyfriend, loser, all
by yourself.

Speaker 1 (29:06):
He's a wizard too, and it got us. Yeah, I'm sorry.
My boyfriend's a wizard and.

Speaker 3 (29:11):
You can't spell on you. If you keep heading on
me like that, sir, he's gonna really cast so many
spells from his cauldron and with his magic wand and
then get a hundred points for Griffin or and take
home the house cup again. So stop up, let me alone. Yeah,
I know you've definitely done all the work for me
to do that, Thank you. But got me asking her
how many times she actually thought she was head on
versus people just being like, hi, how are you while

(29:32):
they were like standing beside her ordering a drink because
she's talking directly to the bartender as well, holding his
attention because she knows him, so people have to be
beside her and be like, Hi, I acknowledge you.

Speaker 1 (29:41):
Oh please, don't please, don't sound mind to me. I've
got a boyfriend.

Speaker 3 (29:43):
Yeah, and I got me to thinking, how many when
did you think you were being had on?

Speaker 1 (29:48):
Have you seen that amazing video of the Yeah?

Speaker 4 (29:51):
Yeah, and he got the gay guy goes well, he
goes up to her and is like, excuse me, and
she just takes everyone was like, I've got a boyfriend.
He's like, cute me too. You tear upon strings hanging out?

Speaker 1 (30:01):
Yeah, so good.

Speaker 3 (30:04):
Yeah, I'm seeing a gay guy on Instagram reels. I'm
probably filming on TikTok, but you know, the creme rises
to the top. What's your algorithm dishing? Up here?

Speaker 1 (30:13):
A real, real weird.

Speaker 3 (30:17):
And it's a gay guy and he's like, watched us
And he's like hi, and he goes, oh my god,
the sorry, I've got a boyfriend. And he's like okay.
Then watch this goes up to another person Hi, and
they're like, Hi, It's all in the time. Yeah, it's
all in the time. Okay, Well that's what we want
to know this morning, text in nine six nine six,
you can call us. I'll wait hundred dollars a day.
And when did you think you were being head on?

(30:39):
I thought you were being head on, but they maybe
they just wanted something else.

Speaker 4 (30:43):
Yeah, we have had a text on Shannon. You're like this,
Have you seen Shannon? She was definitely being hurt on
from a Girl's girl.

Speaker 3 (30:51):
Shannon was under the impression she was being head on,
but people just wanted it. Someone wanted her to take
a photo. Yeah, and she was literally hogging the attention
of the bartender, so everybody had to come and talk
to her. Talk to the bartender, and she was like,
I was just gonna hit it on the front and center. Well,
if this has happened to you, nine six nine six
is our tech number. We'd love to hear your story.
You can give us a call. I wait one hundred
dollars at them when you thought you were being hit on?

Speaker 1 (31:12):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (31:12):
Someone said I used to work lone Star. Enough said
oh yeah, very friendly. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (31:18):
Yeah, it's like do you want to double your protein
with that?

Speaker 3 (31:20):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (31:21):
My god?

Speaker 3 (31:21):
Like scooch over and I'll sit down and explain the
special Someone boys like this someone said, started a new job.
I went to order coffee. The barista remembered my order.
The next day, I thought, this is nice.

Speaker 1 (31:31):
I'm in.

Speaker 3 (31:33):
They were they were gay, they went into me whatsoever.
They were just very good at their job. I know,
I don't know how they remember your name at some
coffee shops. I'm like, come here like twice a week
or something like yeah, yeah, yea yeah, yeah it's.

Speaker 1 (31:43):
A good scale a.

Speaker 3 (31:45):
Maybe they're hitting on you. No, they're not good at
the job. Yeah yeah, yeah, he's ordering what's South Georgia,
georg the levels in the back, around the crank in
the back, right up, George's on the tools. Yeah, it was.

Speaker 4 (32:02):
There was sort of like weird sort of it made
the music sound really was sort of pawny.

Speaker 1 (32:07):
Yeah, you know, like jazz. Someone at the gym.

Speaker 3 (32:10):
They joined a new gym, and the person at the
gym was really friendly with them and asked them if
they needed any help and would go over and talk
to them about like stuff. But it just turns out
they were trying to get them to sign up to
some PTE classes. Yes they do that, yeah, IQ, but
they don't. Yeah, they just want your client.

Speaker 1 (32:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (32:29):
Broadcasting from our christ studio. After the idge here and
show last night, that's.

Speaker 4 (32:33):
What I want to do. I wanted to google his trousers.
Flitch looks so good in those trousers, the cam camos.

Speaker 3 (32:39):
They were kind of camo, but they were like, yeah,
I know, those trousers will be worth so much money.

Speaker 4 (32:50):
I think they might be as commoners. I started gggling
them immediately yesterday.

Speaker 3 (32:55):
Because as soon as he walked on stage, you were like, those.

Speaker 1 (32:57):
Trailers, those are those nice trousers. Yeah, that's nice rousing.
No nice trousers.

Speaker 3 (33:02):
Right now, we're talking about those times when you thought
you were being had on, or maybe you approached someone
and they thought that you were heading on them.

Speaker 1 (33:08):
Yeah, but you weren't. You weren't.

Speaker 3 (33:11):
And staff meetings there was always one person that laughed
at my jokes. Oh, I thought all But it turns
out they miscalculated the rankings.

Speaker 1 (33:19):
They thought I was their manager, so they were trying
to stuck up, trying to stuck up. They weren't.

Speaker 3 (33:24):
It's so funny. That is so funny. Somebody else some
messages and when you thought you were being had on.
I was at the pub and a lady came up
and said to me. Are you here alone? I said,
I am, but no, I'm not interested. Thanks, and she
said I was just wondering if I have that chair.
She in an extra chair.

Speaker 1 (33:43):
It's embarrassing. Oh yeah, I die and just leave. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (33:46):
Someone came up to me at the beach and said
nice surfboard and I said, oh thanks, I've got a girlfriend.
And it turns out that they had, like they sold
the surfboard that brand.

Speaker 1 (33:54):
Right. I just wanted to be like, oh hey, nice spboard.

Speaker 3 (33:56):
Yeah, at least give it another couple of sentences before
you jumped to the can collusion that someone's heading on you.

Speaker 1 (34:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (34:01):
Someone just missaged my bestick. I asked for her phone
number when she was at the chick out of a shop.
She said, sorry, I'm married. He said no, I just
wanted to see if you have a loyalty.

Speaker 1 (34:10):
Account with us. Oh yeah, they do that for the
warranty as well, and can I grab your number? That's sorry,
I warrantine. Okay, I'm actually going to start saying that
now every time the house for my email or I'm married. Yeah,
so sorry, I'm married. I'm actually married.

Speaker 3 (34:25):
I'm really flatting I'm not married at all, but that
would just be funny. And an intersection, a man was
waving at me from his car like to indicate to
wind down my window, and I was like, oh no, no,
it's okay.

Speaker 1 (34:34):
And eventually I wound out in the wine. Who's that
Your dress is hanging out the door? Oh? Oh my god?
So good. At the gym I go to, they make
you a protein shake. Wow, okay, I'm sorry.

Speaker 3 (34:44):
What what about that window? Was it the one in
Sydney Warm when we were over and they give you
a towel, like a gym towel, and then you put
it in the basket at the end.

Speaker 1 (34:54):
Yeah, that's bougie. There are some gyms that do that.
One time I win there.

Speaker 4 (34:58):
I bought one for the first time. It was half price. Oh,
I bought one for the first time. It was half priced.
I thought the lady was flirting with me or trying to.

Speaker 1 (35:05):
Be trying to try it on. She was also speaking
to me quite nicely.

Speaker 4 (35:09):
I went back to my girlfriend and my sister and
her brother, and I was gloating about how this woman
was flirting with me. I later found out that when
my sister's boyfriend was a personal train at the gym,
they just offer a happy hour fifty percent from telve
o'clock onwards.

Speaker 1 (35:22):
So you weren't being head on.

Speaker 3 (35:23):
She just gave you the normal discount.

Speaker 1 (35:26):
You're just for everyone that discounts.

Speaker 3 (35:28):
Sometimes, if you've got a friend who's telling you one
of these stories about them, they think they're being head
on and stuff, and you know the actual story. Sometimes
it's nice to let them have it. Let them have
it a bad day. Sometimes it's nice to let them
have it.

Speaker 1 (35:38):
Yeah, true, true.

Speaker 5 (35:40):
The z N podcast network lay Z ends flesh wornon
Haley hate a rivalry.

Speaker 1 (35:45):
You're going to finish it on the plane, I believe.

Speaker 3 (35:47):
No, it's not a plan that I'll say right now.
That is not a plane show.

Speaker 1 (35:51):
Watch it on the plane.

Speaker 3 (35:52):
I told you guys, I saw that like woman in
his sixties watching it on her flight back to New
Zealand like a week or two ago.

Speaker 1 (35:58):
And that's a private one. That was wild. And doodles
is their doodles.

Speaker 3 (36:02):
You don't see doodles, but the implication of doodles, implication,
the implied doodle.

Speaker 1 (36:07):
That's the implication.

Speaker 3 (36:08):
Yeah, yeah, See, this is the show that women are
women and the gays are loving right now.

Speaker 1 (36:13):
It's.

Speaker 3 (36:15):
You we have excluded the not you they love ice hockey.

Speaker 1 (36:20):
You're enough hockey hockey.

Speaker 3 (36:23):
There's there's like four close ups of ice hockey parks
and that's about it.

Speaker 1 (36:28):
And they skate around and that. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (36:31):
Well, the two main characters are played by Hudson Williams
and Connor Story. We talked about this briefly on Friday,
but it's happened now.

Speaker 1 (36:41):
They have the Olympic.

Speaker 4 (36:42):
Torch, which and they're taking part in the relay because
they are sport adjacent because of the ice hockey.

Speaker 3 (36:49):
Yeah, and everybody is loving the show's all. It's all
over the incident.

Speaker 1 (36:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (36:55):
I haven't watched an I mean, it's a very steamy show.
And these actors.

Speaker 3 (36:59):
We talked about the fact that they have had to
very quickly learn to get famous.

Speaker 1 (37:03):
Within like a night.

Speaker 4 (37:05):
Yeah, well they've got the Olympic torch and they look
so happy.

Speaker 1 (37:09):
Are they gay? Are they both gay? Ir L hang
On chat is the cast of Heated Rivalry? Actually actually gay?
Actually gay?

Speaker 4 (37:23):
Here we go, Well, they're just gay baiting us, Harry Styles. No,
they're not not publicly confirmed as gay.

Speaker 1 (37:31):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (37:32):
I feel like Chet's kind of judge me just because
they play gay characters.

Speaker 1 (37:36):
Okay, I'm not judged. I couldn't kill less. You couldn't
kill Liss Hudson Williams.

Speaker 4 (37:41):
Kind of story of not publicly stated that they are
gay in real life, of get their personal sexualities private
and haven't publicly confirmed. I mean, this show so viral,
would be odd to see them out sort of like
mooch and a woman.

Speaker 3 (37:52):
You know what I mean. But they are actors, so
I know. Yeah, not gay irl, unsure, I'm sure. Okay,
Well it's sas and two has already been confirmed. Yeah,
for those that are fans of the show, and you
can watch it on Neon in New Zealand. And now
they're carrying the Olympic torch. This is wild.

Speaker 1 (38:10):
We live in a good world.

Speaker 5 (38:12):
ZM podcast Network Play. Z m's Flesh one and Haley I.

Speaker 3 (38:16):
Have recently been described as hyper connected. What do you
mean hyper connected? Like available at all times? Okay, I
would say not not you, No, I'll happily ignore.

Speaker 1 (38:26):
Yeah, I'll get a little notification.

Speaker 3 (38:28):
That's the good thing about getting a messenger notification on
the Apple Watch. You can read it and it still
seys unread and then you can choose loophole. It's a loophole,
and you don't have to I don't have to reply
writ then and there you can choose to just ignore
that year time being. It was my Apple Watch that
gave up the ghost. At the weekend, I went, I
went for a swim. I've swimming it many times. Yeah,

(38:49):
in fact, one of the exercises that you can log swimming.

Speaker 1 (38:52):
Yeah, I swim with minors. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (38:54):
What edition of Apple watching you? Because your phones are seven,
isn't it.

Speaker 3 (38:58):
Yeah, I've got an iPhone even and it's really great.
I've been really getting teased a lot this weekend about
my iPhone because because it charges so slowly but deplete
so quickly, I have not had a full battery all weekend.
I've just kind of been plugging in a bar, know,
every pub Excuse me?

Speaker 1 (39:16):
Can I charge my phone anywhere for a little bit
of juice? Please? You're that guy?

Speaker 3 (39:21):
You're there? Yeah, I mean that guy. So I know,
I don't know what. I don't know what Apple Watch
I had. You remember, I lost the apple and that
water four years and then that dude dove down and
got the watch, but I'd already angrily purchased another one.

Speaker 4 (39:34):
And you had a great experience purchasing that watch as well. Well,
it wasn't that the Apple one where you it was
like an ongoing was my phone?

Speaker 1 (39:42):
That was my phone? That was store.

Speaker 3 (39:44):
Yes, Oh my god, that was traumatic. I would say
that watch would be like seven or eight years old.
No no, no, no no no no no no no
no no two or three three, three macs, right, so
it's done. Three macs are year. It's done.

Speaker 1 (39:57):
You're not going to try to get it fixed. Wouldn't
be worth it.

Speaker 3 (40:00):
I don't think it'll be worth in the whole water
cupboard and a bowl of rice. You know, everybody's favorite mechanic.

Speaker 1 (40:05):
It does work. Yeah, it does everybody's favor appliance mechanics.
So it's in there. I'll try it when I get home.
Last time my phone got weird.

Speaker 3 (40:13):
I put it in one of those Uncle Toby's ninety
second bag.

Speaker 1 (40:17):
That's what he pre copped water and exorbed the oil more.
But did you microwave it as well? Though?

Speaker 3 (40:27):
George is just missing. George's pushing the buttons rest of day.
She said that garment would.

Speaker 4 (40:30):
Never your cousin wanted to. We met George's cousin last night. Yeah,
each Shearon and he said, Oh my gosh, she's got
a garment family.

Speaker 3 (40:39):
That's actually she used the back black sheep of the
family's shame getting rid of it. So I like wearing
a watch. Yeah, always, I've want to watch since I
was a kid. I've got the watch tand to prove it. Yeah,
that's the that's the pinkst little skin you're even going
to find in the world.

Speaker 1 (40:52):
Under that watch. We've got the pinkert wrist rest around
take Ristsmith. So I was like, I've got to find
another watch.

Speaker 3 (41:00):
When digging in my bed, so I draw and I
found this g Shock watch. I'm going to ask GPT
when this is from because I've had this what blew
my mind like two thousands that's been in the dr.
I didn't even wear this before I got my Apple watch.
I wore a different watch, but that this watch has
been in that draw for I would say ten years.

Speaker 1 (41:17):
Do you have a dress watch like a nice watch? No?

Speaker 3 (41:22):
Oh, I do, but it doesn't work anymore. And right
it's got an old batter because analog's in now. Vaughn
everything analog exactly a digital watch, but compared to now
smart watch, this does feel analog.

Speaker 1 (41:34):
Yeah, how like sweash you felt when you got a
digital watch. Oh, yeah, I got a digital watch with
the calculator on the top. No, not.

Speaker 4 (41:44):
That, Yeah, No, I had a baby G the little
PG baby G likes.

Speaker 3 (41:49):
Threw it close up on the big screen of each
here and last night and he was wearing like it
looked like a baby G watch.

Speaker 1 (41:56):
I was like, I don't reckon, that's worth a lot
of money.

Speaker 4 (41:58):
I was going to say, I thought he was a
smart watch guy that he doesn't have a cell phone. No, no,
he's like completely unplaced, so he wouldn't be able to
have a smart watch.

Speaker 3 (42:06):
No.

Speaker 1 (42:06):
Yeah, when you think about it.

Speaker 3 (42:08):
Yesterday, because my phone never reached full charge all day
all weekend's fight walking around with your charger and charging
it every damn opportunity I had, and keeping in a
low battery mode all the entire time. I had to
leave it in the hotel room charging is Today and
I went and I got lunch. I paid with a
card and I only had my watch. I was completely
disconnected from.

Speaker 1 (42:29):
The end from the internet. I was just connected from
the internet. How did it feel? Felt good? Are you
going to carry on life like this? No? Not at all.
You can wait to get back.

Speaker 3 (42:38):
To being ultra connected, available at any time for any
dumb notification from TAMU, any dumb notification from.

Speaker 1 (42:45):
Anywhere in any email that I don't care about.

Speaker 3 (42:47):
Are you just going to have to buy a new
one if it doesn't Yeah, if.

Speaker 1 (42:50):
You're going to get the latest. I just bought a
new one. Oh, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (42:53):
I just it's just so good for exercise, like if
I Yeah, its accountability.

Speaker 1 (42:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (42:59):
If those rings aren't telling me I haven't moved enough. Yeah,
I only moved for the rings.

Speaker 1 (43:04):
Yeah, me too. I'm not wearing my watch today and
I shan't be moving. I shall move for my ring overlord.

Speaker 2 (43:09):
The ZM Podcast Network play z m's flesh fornon Haley.

Speaker 1 (43:16):
After shearon finishing up his New Zealand tour.

Speaker 3 (43:19):
Shows the largest screen that's ever been in phenomenal New
Zealand or even Australasia. Humongous screen had a retractable bridge bridge.

Speaker 1 (43:31):
That came out of the stage. But I can to
leave an engineering there. Yeah, scop. God, that wouldn't have
been cheap to make, would it.

Speaker 4 (43:37):
It was so cool, how like he had that little
mini stage in the center of the stadium and then
the main one, and he spent like kind of equal
time between the two. Yes, if you were in the
GA area, you were treated to a very up close
in Shiran.

Speaker 3 (43:51):
So a great show. We went along last night, had
our corporate box. Yeah, wasn't that bloody oo la La
And while everybody was getting rained on.

Speaker 4 (44:00):
Shout out to our waitress who I reckon. Within forty
five minutes had memorized everyone's order. And because we were
hosting our guests and it was our team as well,
and you go and be like a bubbles for you
and a margarita for you, And I was like, she's good.

Speaker 1 (44:15):
She knew it was booge Yeah.

Speaker 3 (44:17):
Yeah, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (44:17):
Shout out to the little balls. There were little meat balls,
the brisket balls. Yeah, they were shout out to a ball.
I'm shouting out to the ball, not the listeners. Yeah.
Well the listeners that came were amazing.

Speaker 3 (44:29):
J Shout out to the cheese sticks just before we
get onto deep fried moncerella sticks.

Speaker 1 (44:34):
Yeah, with a vinegary.

Speaker 4 (44:35):
Dep Shannon wants. Yeah, she was in the workshop. Yeah,
but so one of our winners, Lauren. She brought her
friend Jade and that was part of her Like Hen's weekend.

Speaker 1 (44:48):
Yeah, that was like the end of a great crew.

Speaker 3 (44:51):
And we were also our box, the corporate box because
they usually use them for the rugby. Yeah, but most
of them were empty, and the one next to ours
was like the tour, the corporate box for the tour,
and we were like sitting right next.

Speaker 1 (45:04):
To vance Joy's wife, Yeah.

Speaker 3 (45:06):
Who bopped along to Riptide even though she must have
heard it a thousand times. And you'll be not surprised
to know that she's not a manger because yeah.

Speaker 4 (45:14):
I mean especially Carmen in a draw off the floor
watching vance Joy like he's a.

Speaker 1 (45:19):
Very good looking man at the moment, and we h
yeah he was. It was like a shaggy dog, wet dog.

Speaker 3 (45:26):
He did good, look good with Actually, yeah, some people
get weird and they don't look that.

Speaker 1 (45:31):
Are you not horrent? You're a bad wit. Poodles don't
look great.

Speaker 3 (45:36):
Wit look embarrassed, but some dogs do look a retriever
for example, God.

Speaker 1 (45:40):
And Retrieve looks great.

Speaker 3 (45:41):
Wit.

Speaker 1 (45:41):
Yeah, yeah, but not Haley's brow.

Speaker 3 (45:43):
I'm no surprise that vance Joy finished with Riptide and
went off.

Speaker 1 (45:48):
So we went into a bit of a Google rabbit.

Speaker 3 (45:50):
Hole when he finished with that song, because it's such
a great song. It's the twentieth most stream song of
all time.

Speaker 1 (45:56):
Shut up?

Speaker 3 (45:57):
Yeah yeah. How many millions of players that get it's
throughout a day? It was, it was millions of plays
a day. It's it was like Australia's most stream song.
It's like insanely popular. I love like he would just
probably paint. He would earn enough money off the streams alone.

Speaker 1 (46:14):
Right. I wonder his wife was there just like holiday.
Yeah she's hot. Yeah, she's from Barcelona.

Speaker 4 (46:21):
She like a hot man like that deserves the Spanish wife.
I love when he was like, oh, I'm going to
sing you guys a song.

Speaker 1 (46:29):
I think you'll know the words. And then it started Dean,
Dean and Dean and he did a cover of Kiss. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (46:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (46:37):
It was amazing.

Speaker 4 (46:38):
It was so good and each hearing like he even
if you're not a huge fan of each share and
I would, I would go and see my favor had
the chance, because his musicianship is amazing. At one point
he brought out a small kind of folky band for
a few numbers. The rest of the concert with a
and he just builds it live.

Speaker 1 (46:55):
It's incredible to watch.

Speaker 4 (46:57):
He's absolutely phenomenal musician. Once was great, the vibes were high.
I'll say it.

Speaker 3 (47:02):
Yeah you missed that. You missed them now, but you
have to get him next time, Get him next time.
It was this last one right.

Speaker 2 (47:08):
Plays it ends flesh one and Haley.

Speaker 1 (47:12):
Fact of the Day, Day day day day.

Speaker 3 (47:17):
Yeah, do do do do do do do do do
do do do do Well.

Speaker 1 (47:27):
It's Logo week here at Fact of the Day.

Speaker 3 (47:29):
We're going to delve into some origins and some stories
and some some pieces you might not know about, very
well known logos, and we're gonna start with the Guinness logo.

Speaker 1 (47:37):
The harp, Yes, the Guinness Harp.

Speaker 4 (47:40):
Can I just pause to say, Vaughn, you split a
beautiful G yesterday?

Speaker 1 (47:44):
Sploitd G? Was it terry that Saturday the day before?

Speaker 3 (47:47):
Yeah, I've been having some terrible G splitting lately, haven't
managed to but late, Yeah, it was beautiful to watch.

Speaker 1 (47:55):
Thank you.

Speaker 3 (47:56):
The tricks to get through the phone before you start sucking.
You got to get through the phone before you start.

Speaker 1 (48:02):
We're going to on a T shirt for Guinness.

Speaker 3 (48:04):
Can you please praise me for splitting my vodka cruiser?

Speaker 1 (48:08):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (48:09):
Actually, guys, he knocked the top of the V. I
got the line he.

Speaker 1 (48:12):
Tapped the top of the V for a while. It's
a year or two. I'm sorry.

Speaker 3 (48:19):
Well, the Guinness logo I was introduced in eighteen sixty two.

Speaker 1 (48:23):
That's hard. Do you watch that House of Guinness?

Speaker 6 (48:25):
No.

Speaker 3 (48:25):
I watched your first episode and it was every time
they went to a seat. I was like, Oh, you've
stolen that from Peaky Blinders. Oh? Really, are they reusing
the Peaky Blinder set because it was made by the
people that made Peaky Blinders.

Speaker 1 (48:36):
Yeah, this is a new show. Yeah. I watched the.

Speaker 3 (48:38):
First episode and it didn't like, really capture me as
much as I was hoping. But I'll get back to
it one day when there's a lull. When there's a
lull in programming like that. Now I've got spoiled for choice.
So they needed a logo when they introduced it. They
want something that's just stunk of Ireland, so they went
for the Trinity College harp, a fourteenth century instrument that

(48:58):
still held at Trinity College.

Speaker 4 (49:00):
Oh okay, yeah, harp. Isn't it beautiful when you hear
a harp? Yeah, you don't often get to see one.
It always just reminds me of Scooby Doo. Yeah, a
little flashback or something.

Speaker 3 (49:11):
Yes, So when Ireland became a state in nineteen twenty two,
it wanted the harp as the national emblem, but Guinness
had already owned the trademark for nearly two hundred years.
Ryan here, there is there Irish. They had to it
because I've been seeing that harp.

Speaker 1 (49:26):
They have a harp in their logo.

Speaker 3 (49:27):
It's a different sort of my heart in Trinity College heart,
which is what Ireland wanted.

Speaker 1 (49:31):
They wanted that exact rank of that harp.

Speaker 3 (49:33):
But yeah, I've seen that because it's an Elon Musk
arguing with yes in the air. And I've seen them
release a few statements that's got the harp on it
as well. Yeah, very very Irish. Or Guinness already owned
the trademark and played hardball. So if you ever noticed
the Irish state harp faces left and the Guinness Guinness
harp face is right enough of a difference, yeah, right, yeah,

(49:54):
And so it would be like arguing over the silver
fern on things. Yeah, and it pointed one way for
yeah in z RFU and the other way for the netball,
and then it was upside down for a flag and
then sort of reversed end upside down for.

Speaker 1 (50:08):
Whoever else wanted it.

Speaker 3 (50:09):
Yeah, so it's an instantly recognizable silhouette. It's barely changed
and it's one hundred and sixty years Oh yeah, of
being the the Guinness logo and it kind of Yeah.

Speaker 1 (50:21):
People might think that the Irish flag adopted it.

Speaker 3 (50:24):
Before, but they didn't know because they didn't become a
state until nineteen twenty two and then fourth for independence. Okay,
so today inspected today is the Guinness logo? Is the
Trinity College harp, a fourteenth century instrument fact of the day,
day day day day do.

Speaker 1 (50:43):
Do do do.

Speaker 3 (50:46):
Do do do do do do do do do? Katie messaged,
and she said, house again, it's gets much better from
episode three three yeares, I don't like it when you
have to have three you get two to one, you
get one.

Speaker 4 (51:04):
We want to know how bad was the a com
Maybe you didn't read the reviews like this woman online
who was traveling around with your partner and did not
check the reviews of her EBNB and it's hostile.

Speaker 1 (51:18):
Sorry, oh yeah, I'm trying to make it sound nicer. Hostile. Yeah,
and didn't.

Speaker 4 (51:23):
Realize that the hospital hostel was above an opera house
where there was endless performances of opera. Now I think
that would be quite a novelty for.

Speaker 1 (51:33):
An hour max max.

Speaker 4 (51:36):
But night after night after night and late late late
no fun?

Speaker 1 (51:41):
Oh wow? Okay.

Speaker 4 (51:42):
And afterwards went back on the booking to read the
reviews and everyone was like, you will not sleep.

Speaker 1 (51:49):
There is loud opera music constantly. What but when does
it stop? Like midnight or so late?

Speaker 3 (51:55):
Ye?

Speaker 4 (51:56):
Yeah, okay, yeah, I'll say her face is giving, like
in bed By nine, but you know I'm not judging.

Speaker 3 (52:01):
Excuse me, I'm in bed By eight. Does my face give?
In bed By hers is one less hour? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (52:07):
Yeah, yeah, okay your face does. And that it's young
and refreshed off and we're like hagged old bags. But
I want to know how bad was the acor maybe
it's like you know, they always use that fishy lens
and it makes it look huge.

Speaker 3 (52:21):
It's that whatever the real estate people use for whenever
you're for a flat or whatever and you're decide, oh
my god, there's room, it'll fit like a king sized bed.

Speaker 4 (52:28):
The first the first time I ever sold a house, Yeah,
it had no lawn because we're dug it all up
and it was just dirt and the photographers don't wry
about it and just added a lawn.

Speaker 1 (52:39):
What I've seen the blue sky and they're like flying birds.
But they do this on listings sometimes for like apartments
or hotels, add things and you're like, well, I didn't
see that.

Speaker 4 (52:51):
I live near a river, and so we're sidesple. I
live near a river and it is like one of
those brown, swampy like estuaries and they always be like
waterfront views and add a blue river.

Speaker 1 (53:02):
I'm like, that thing has never been blue. It's not
even even when there's a lot of water in it's
still brown. Always.

Speaker 4 (53:07):
Yeah, we digress. I want to know how bad was
the accommodation. Maybe it was a noise thing. Maybe it
was a through the wall neighbor thing.

Speaker 3 (53:14):
Well it was it years ago when we stayed in Greece.
That was a bit of a mess for the accommodation.
Do you remember that?

Speaker 1 (53:20):
That was noisy, noisy people doing drugs outside the front door,
like you could hear the neighbors. It was like not
sharing either.

Speaker 3 (53:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (53:30):
I said, if there's not enough for everybody, you shouldn't
be doing drugs on the doors. They didn't share their drugs,
didn't sh their drugs.

Speaker 4 (53:36):
The first time I stayed in Bali, we turned up
somewhere and it was so bad and checked into the
thing and the bathroom was outside.

Speaker 1 (53:45):
The entire bathrooms or the toilet and everything was out
That quite common, but that's common, and.

Speaker 4 (53:50):
An a cute like outdoor barley bathroom way and like
a prison way. And then so every time I needed
to pee, which for me is quite often in the night,
I had to go outside and.

Speaker 1 (54:00):
Were frogs everywhere, and I was like, I hate that.
We leave. Okay, kid different acm.

Speaker 3 (54:05):
Okay, Well, I went hundred dollars at him. We want

a opera theater. Yeah, and the music did not start.

Speaker 3 (54:22):
And once you've booked, you're not getting your money back. No,
not after the first night.

Speaker 1 (54:44):
Gosh, yeah.

Speaker 4 (54:46):
It's off demo Bogun chat lad that was a Bogan chair,

Speaker 1 (54:52):
Yeah, okay, of course.

Speaker 6 (54:54):
But our airbnb, I noticed a little bit of blood
on the blanket that sits on top of the That's strange,
and I just kind of went hunting around the airbnb
a little bit more. It was all over the curtains,
all over the walls, just in little hidden spots, and
I took them to the windows.

Speaker 1 (55:18):
I don't know was it giving?

Speaker 3 (55:20):
Was it giving someone who was staying there at the
airbnb had cut themselves and there were splash splashes of
blood around or was it giving?

Speaker 1 (55:28):
It was murder? Crime scene clean up but not.

Speaker 6 (55:30):
Well enough, very murder crime scene murder.

Speaker 3 (55:37):
Did you when you gave the review, were you like,
oh my god, great spot.

Speaker 1 (55:42):
It really handy to the venue.

Speaker 3 (55:43):
And then in the private message to the owner say
blood everywhere?

Speaker 1 (55:47):
Indeed there was blood everywhere.

Speaker 6 (55:49):
Well, the thing was is that we were considering leaving,
but the bed was the most comfortable bed we've ever slept.

Speaker 1 (55:54):
Them despite it being covered in blood.

Speaker 3 (55:56):
Yeah, okay, did you put up the mattress doing a
brand on that?

Speaker 1 (56:01):
Did you get a brand name and a model?

Speaker 6 (56:02):
I actually did you?

Speaker 1 (56:05):
Have you since purchased the same bed?

Speaker 6 (56:08):
I am considering it. I don't quite need a new
mattress yet, but the next time will be that one.

Speaker 1 (56:13):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (56:13):
Look, we're not in the business of anybody a free
plug on here on the show. We're money makers, yes
we are. But I do want to know what kind
of bed mattress. Let me talk about that later. Yeah, yeah, okay, Amelia,
thanks you call some messages in.

Speaker 1 (56:28):
Are not the only bloody story we've gone? No, Yeah,

Speaker 4 (56:32):
We went to Noosa about fifteen years ago and there
was blood all over the bedding and.

Speaker 3 (56:35):
It's not spread on the walls and NUSA not my
parents love Noose.

Speaker 1 (56:40):

there was one place and we nearly booked.

Speaker 4 (56:56):
It was like incredible, like this looks so cool, perfect
for us.

Speaker 1 (57:00):
How is this still available?

Speaker 4 (57:01):
It was almost like click to reserve right, and then
you just quickly went I'll just read the reviews and
they were shocking.

Speaker 1 (57:08):
They were like right on the back.

Speaker 3 (57:10):
It was like literally behind this club nightclubs, the drone
of bass. And we were like, okay, that's why this
amazing airbnb is still available? And yeah, so Kate joins
is Kate, what was wrong with the accommodation in Los Angeles?

Speaker 1 (57:27):
The city of angles.

Speaker 7 (57:31):
So I just found this out a couple of years ago.
But in twenty thirteen, we stayed at the Cecil Hotel.

Speaker 1 (57:38):

the Cecil Hotel is is famous.

Speaker 8 (57:49):
Oh my goodness, there is like a cacophony of chaos
from that hotel.

Speaker 1 (57:53):
Basically, the black Dahlia was there.

Speaker 8 (57:54):
This moment went missing and was found in the water tank,
so everyone was drinking water and it came.

Speaker 1 (57:59):
Out was that you were you staying there when you
were drinking the water.

Speaker 7 (58:03):
We didn't drink the water, but we were there just
like the month after they found got us.

Speaker 8 (58:08):
There's a Netflix documentary about Eliza Lamb. You must watch it.

Speaker 1 (58:11):
It was a body in the town.

Speaker 3 (58:12):
There was a body in the water tank and everyone
was just showering and drinking with that water.

Speaker 1 (58:16):
Get in there. It's someone murderer and put her in there.
It's so who done it? It's who done it? Okay,
So you showered in that water.

Speaker 3 (58:23):
Yes, you were. You were post body, right, Yeah, I'm
sure they would have given it a scrub Ganola. The
Cecil Hotel was part of inspiration for the fifth season
of the television show American Horror Story that you know,
it's all okay wow. And so when you found that out,

(58:46):
were you just like what the hell?

Speaker 2 (58:49):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (58:49):
So that was only a couple of years ago that
I found out, and so it stuck with me and

Speaker 4 (59:03):
Beautiful location, just a five minute walk from all the shops.

Speaker 3 (59:07):
I remember there was a possum that fell in someone's
water tank and drowned. Once at Marinsville. Oh yeah, then
they hosted a party that week and anyone was very consumed
they might get sick.

Speaker 1 (59:14):
No one did. Yeah, lesser than a body of a human.

Speaker 4 (59:17):
By the way, the Cecil Hotel is no longer operating
as a business.

Speaker 1 (59:21):
Is it not affordable housing? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (59:24):
Yeah, you can't. I don't think you can come back
from that. From a pr year standpoint.

Speaker 1 (59:28):
A body in the water tanks hard to sell, it's
hard to clean that.

Speaker 3 (59:32):
Kate, thank you so much for she'ering. Glad that you're
still alive and not sick. We hired an airbnb and Gusy,
the host, slept in his station wagon on the street
out front of the house.

Speaker 1 (59:43):
Wait there was that was a Yeah, it was a
rhythm and vines things. We're a little bit rowdy.

Speaker 3 (59:50):
Kept messaging us, complaining about the noise. We got back
after a night in town to the modem gone. So
we've lost the Wi Fi privileges and thumb tacks on
the tourlet seat thumb.

Speaker 1 (59:59):
Tag good home.

Speaker 3 (01:00:00):
No, you're not getting any stars for that. That's not
a good highest thing. Richard Hero once said in an
airbarb in England advertised as a lovely bedroom with en sweet.
Turned out it was a bunk bedroom with a sheared
bathroom of ten people. There was mold in the room
and sometime and obviously had a good night as I
went to the bathroom to find a trail of diarrhea
all the way to the toilet and all around the toilet.
They seem to miss everything. I ended up leaving in

(01:00:21):
the early hours of the morning and getting a refund
for that one.

Speaker 1 (01:00:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:00:26):
Booked a one bedroom flat above a house for our
honeymoon and it said the house below was lived in
by the owners, so we thought, all, that's nice.

Speaker 1 (01:00:34):
That'll be quiet and there's separate entrances and everything.

Speaker 3 (01:00:36):
I had one of those airbnbs over the holidays above.

Speaker 1 (01:00:40):
When they say that I'm not going.

Speaker 3 (01:00:42):
But did it turn out the owners also rented out
their house and it was like a big house. So
there was thirty UNI students partying too, like two am
every morning. We had to change accommodation mid honeymoon.

Speaker 1 (01:00:51):
Yeah, you would.

Speaker 3 (01:00:52):
We hired a house that still had wet footprints on
the bath mat from the previous person. There was a
bunch of dead flowers on the table, ripped curtains, mud
on the sheets, mold and mildew on the windows and curtains.
In the bedroom we had to share a queen bed
that had a single duvet.

Speaker 1 (01:01:06):
That's so yeah wow.

Speaker 3 (01:01:09):
Imagine working at like the airbme complaints line like there
would be some amazing stories.

Speaker 1 (01:01:16):
I reckon you could write a credible book about it, Yeah, totally,
or a docco we said.

Speaker 3 (01:01:20):
At the Witherall Park, New South Wales for an indoor
cricket tournament accommodation, we found literally hypodermic needles under the
bed and when you took a shower, ship and poo
came through the drains and flooded into the room. Not
ship and ship ship, that's a ship slash pool. I
think they might have been pos and ways, pos and ways.
I think they just went sh and we need to
say it's just sort of one.

Speaker 7 (01:01:43):
We had.

Speaker 3 (01:01:43):
The worst accommodation in christ Church was an Airbnb. The
toilet seat was broken with a lovely smattering of human hair,
both on the toilet seat and on the floor. Shower
had literal hairs all over. The bar of soap no
we don't do a bar of soap, and the fridge
had blood through it. The spar had player of dead
skin cells and it smelt of alcohol. We tried plugging
in the phone charger and the power cut out and

(01:02:05):
there was a smell of smoke. The beer was full
of human here as well. Someone was molting. The TV
didn't work. The outside of the house left amazing. We
got totally catfished. We couldn't get a hold of the
host to say all of the problems. That's how we
should have asked people to call us. When did your
accommodation catfish?

Speaker 1 (01:02:22):
Yes? Yes, I went.

Speaker 3 (01:02:24):
To an accommodation. My dad had booked me chea accommodation
of Melbourne. Arrived in my room, was all messed up
and unmade. Went into the bathroom there was a used
condom on the bin. Oh, it seems out someone had
broken in via the ground floor window and stayed in.

Speaker 1 (01:02:37):
Stayed in it for the last week. Guests, but do
they not watch any true crime? They lefted some DNA,
they lived.

Speaker 2 (01:02:45):
Plays. It ends flesh for and Hailey.

Speaker 4 (01:02:48):
Fashion is my passion bough Today I say I'm lacking.
I've got a pair I grabbed the wrong shorts. I've
got a pair of gym shorts on that a size ten.
Haven't been that for many years. So I've got real
sausage thighed. You know, it's like cutting off a slip
Nott T shirt that I slipped in. I wanted to
wear it because the sausage thigh situation is so bad
and this T shirt's long, right hid hide? Yeah, a

(01:03:11):
bra that MINS will not even be on. It's not
doing anything right. So it's hard to know that fashion
is my pression.

Speaker 1 (01:03:17):
Yeah, it's not believable.

Speaker 3 (01:03:19):
It's not coming through it all today because I can't
imagine Karen Walker would either, even at home.

Speaker 4 (01:03:25):
So upset when no one can see your should be
so upset with me right now. She act would should
be like, get my get my name out of your mouth.
You're trash, you're disgusting, and I and I am.

Speaker 1 (01:03:36):
But I have fashion news and I hate this. It's
it's not socks and sandals.

Speaker 4 (01:03:43):
It's socks and jendles in particular thongs or whatever you
want to call that.

Speaker 3 (01:03:47):
A lot of people have been socks with the birkenstock
clog ye made especially you know the tan or the
light brown with white socks. I love that beautiful, or
like I've got the Doc Martin sandals.

Speaker 4 (01:04:00):
They look cute with a little sock pop. I'm talking
sock toe bit in between the toe like that we've got.

Speaker 1 (01:04:11):
You know, is it a toad sock though? Is it
like like you can't you can buy them toad Yes,
you can finger socks.

Speaker 3 (01:04:18):
I don't think i'd fit those because they have really
long second and third toes yea yeah, yeah, they're longer than.

Speaker 1 (01:04:23):
My big top. Yeah, so that it would be like
the big space yeah yeah, yea, yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:04:28):
I have I have once because I don't do jandles anymore.
Us to do always do heavy. But when you go
to burks, you can't go back.

Speaker 1 (01:04:35):
No, I can't gendle.

Speaker 3 (01:04:36):
I remember sometimes you might be round the house and
you have your socks on and you'll just quickly you
might need to go take a rubbish out, so you
you ram, it's really hard to fear a sock and jandle.

Speaker 4 (01:04:45):
Yeah, it's really really awful. But it's like all the rage,
and I don't mean.

Speaker 1 (01:04:49):
Just like people are. It's you know, it's like we're
seeing it eye fashion. Yeah, we're seeing it on campwalks right, yeah,
I know, like high like do you know who did this?
Mary Kaya n Ashley? Awesome? I mean that they are
fash flip flops and socks.

Speaker 3 (01:05:04):
Yeah, it's not it's hard. It's a hard push on
the toe. It's really hard work on the toes.

Speaker 1 (01:05:08):
To do this.

Speaker 4 (01:05:09):
I hate I hate Jendle because I just hate the
feeling of that thing between my toe. But if you
put a sock on, it's even worse.

Speaker 1 (01:05:15):
By the way.

Speaker 4 (01:05:15):
Sorry, you know Mary Kay and Eshleyolsen have that brand,
the Row, one of the fashion brands.

Speaker 1 (01:05:20):
I didn't they have a flip flop two thousand dollars?
What for a gendle? For a gendle nods? You know
why you took heavy onners. But Para Rubber made a
hell of a jenda. Yeah, they.

Speaker 3 (01:05:37):
A jandle two time gray and blue, you know, the
one tread on the bottom, perfect tread on top.

Speaker 4 (01:05:42):
Even can Kardashians been wearing jendles and socks?

Speaker 1 (01:05:46):
Wow, No, we can't do this.

Speaker 4 (01:05:48):
They're calling it. This is like, who's that brand that
always does it? Is it blintz Yaga? And they'll just
put a trash bag on and be like it's fashion.
It's a thousand dollars and people buy it. Yeah, they
call it daggy to then like taking something intentionally yark
like socks and flip flops and calling it fashion, and
then we just abide.

Speaker 3 (01:06:06):
We just say yes, okay, yeah, I don't No, you
don't really abide by any fashion lawles No, no, Well,
still a bit of summer left if you want to
rock a sock and a jandle.

Speaker 4 (01:06:18):
Perfect actually for this kind of weather where it is
technically summer but it's cold.

Speaker 1 (01:06:23):
You're going to get a wet sock. Yeah, that's yucky.

Speaker 3 (01:06:27):
Next on the show, there as an Australian school which
has sparked some fury amongst parents and students, and so
we thought next on the show, we'd talk about those
things that were banned at your school.

Speaker 1 (01:06:39):
Tamagotchies, they kept beeping.

Speaker 2 (01:06:42):
Very Network play z m's flesh fornon Haley.

Speaker 3 (01:06:48):
Back to school for a lot of kids soon or
when are your kids back? And he's back this week? Yep,
And August is back on the ninth. That's wild a
the ninth of February. Parents are hanging out out for
the summer.

Speaker 1 (01:07:02):
Especially when it's been raining.

Speaker 3 (01:07:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:07:04):
Anyway, my whole life is the kids aren't around like
it's so you know what I mean? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
it's a crawl to day one. I'm like, no, I
know you do you like your kids?

Speaker 7 (01:07:19):
I do?

Speaker 1 (01:07:20):
How lucky am I? I like them and spending time
with them well.

Speaker 3 (01:07:24):
At Queensland School Queensland Boys' Schools and Edmonds has has
started the year with a ban on mullets. Mullets were
always like, here's a boys school, short here, no long here.

Speaker 4 (01:07:37):
So my brother went to a posh school, Scott's College,
and they were allowed long here, but no clean shave.

Speaker 8 (01:07:44):
Was the rule.

Speaker 3 (01:07:45):
Okay, so these guys have to be clean shaven and
have one of Kim Jong UN's acceptable haircuts. I've literally
released a five picture of what's acceptable haircut wise, short
back in sides, you know, sharp fringe there. You are
allowed one of those blade lines yeap, but it has
to be on the part. It can't be down the

(01:08:05):
side of the head, because these are the unacceptable one.
I would call this a dress mullet, a fancy mullet.

Speaker 1 (01:08:11):
Witting mullet.

Speaker 3 (01:08:12):
And then you've got your two denigrating sort of like
mullet situations here, very mulledy and super mullety.

Speaker 1 (01:08:18):
No ponytail with an undercut yep. It's a classic.

Speaker 3 (01:08:22):
It is a bit of a classic, and no sort
of sharp razor lines on the side of the head,
so that I've.

Speaker 1 (01:08:28):
Laid down the law and parents and some of the
kids are not happy about it.

Speaker 4 (01:08:33):
Well, the thing is, with a viral, with a mullet,
they're so hard to grow because you have to kind
of grow it all and then shape it so you
have the long bit.

Speaker 1 (01:08:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:08:40):
So if they're saying shave it off, that's a devastating day,
a devastating plot for the boys, Edmonds and Switch. I'm
not a fan of mullets. I know, Hayley and Georgia
feel free.

Speaker 3 (01:08:50):
George's pressing the buttons in our Auckland studio while we'reing Christ. Shit, Georgia,
you love a mullet, don't you.

Speaker 1 (01:08:57):
Sorry?

Speaker 3 (01:08:58):
It's for first day on that Jim and a couple
of mistakes from Georgia today with MIC's on and I'm gone,
she knows she's got sort of five minutes of keep
your business done.

Speaker 4 (01:09:13):
Would have been such a beautiful, seamless kind of connect
and christalk.

Speaker 3 (01:09:16):
You know, we're all, yeah, maybe she can't talk to us,
maybe we're coming through on her MIC line.

Speaker 1 (01:09:23):
It's there but you're you're a fan as well. You
were just talking to Georgia about agreeing with the mullet
because she said.

Speaker 4 (01:09:29):
Yum, and you said and then I said, no, I
get it. And then actually there is a poster of
the one Insid Warriors and there's a lot of yummymullets
in there.

Speaker 1 (01:09:41):
I like it. I mean, it depends what the mullet's on, right,
it depends who it's on. It does. A mullet does
not make the man, but the man make the mother.
A man maketh the mullet.

Speaker 3 (01:09:51):
But with this Queensland school and the ban on mullets
going viral, we thought would answer question this morning, what
did your school when you were at school?

Speaker 1 (01:09:58):
What did they ban the latest craze? Was it a
phrase words?

Speaker 3 (01:10:03):
Because like a lot of schools banned six seven at
the end of last years. That's right, yes, six seven
got banned. They just stopped asking questions that I had
six and seven in the answer.

Speaker 1 (01:10:13):
This is showing my age.

Speaker 4 (01:10:14):
But mine was like POGs and caps, you know, those
used to slam on the desks.

Speaker 1 (01:10:18):
And even there was collectible wise because then you'd lose
all yours.

Speaker 3 (01:10:23):
Yeah, the rich kads had come to school and they
be I've got all those limited isial ones. And then
the bullies would be like i'll give you give play
smack and you're gonna give me that, or like steal
steal the collectibles. Yeah, yeah, I'll wait a hundred dollars
at him. Would love to know this morning. Give us
a call. You can text her as well. Nine six
nine six. What was banned at your school? We're talking
about bands a Queensland Skills band, mullets. In fact, they've

(01:10:46):
given five appropriate hairstyles and they're five absolutely not Yeah,
and I believe Georgia has figured out how to talk
with us from our Auckland studio to the Crunch Hit
studio and then via satellite and broadcast transmission to your listener.

Speaker 1 (01:11:01):
Mullets for life. We couldn't simple words now.

Speaker 3 (01:11:07):
Being a Canterbury girl, it just comes in the It's
in the blood, isn't it to love a mullet?

Speaker 1 (01:11:11):
Absolutely, especially that your husband doesn't have a mullet? Does he?

Speaker 6 (01:11:14):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:11:15):
No, I'm not into being with a dude that has one.
But you don't marry a mullet, No way, neither of
marry a mullet. Don't marry a mullet is your motto?
Would you give it a tug?

Speaker 2 (01:11:24):
Your mullett?

Speaker 1 (01:11:25):
I used to day to dude that used to put
drid wacks in it. And there's mullet and it's mullet. Rangoon? Guys,
what makes sense what they're called it? On the order? Yeah? Rangoon? Rangoon?

Speaker 2 (01:11:44):
Wow?

Speaker 1 (01:11:45):
Am I from Rangoon?

Speaker 3 (01:11:46):
You're from Rangoon?

Speaker 4 (01:11:49):
I'm actually born in Breda and Wellington. My soul was
I lived physically order for three years.

Speaker 3 (01:11:54):
So your text messages and Marlboro's got banded primary and
the two thousands too many heads were losing their marbles
to this dude who was just an absolute marble god,
a collection of marbles.

Speaker 1 (01:12:05):
Yeah, so me. Drink bottles were banned our school. That's
a that's a dehydration.

Speaker 3 (01:12:11):
Because what everybody was getting a Stanley or a Frank Green.

Speaker 1 (01:12:14):
No, they said it was.

Speaker 3 (01:12:15):
Because of meningitis because everyone was suing the drink bottles
and it was a very real risk. But we know
it was because a third form of vogt to school
and a pump bottle classic move. When Vorne and I
left the concert last night, did you see the pile
of umbrellas and drink bottles.

Speaker 1 (01:12:28):
No, it was insane, So.

Speaker 3 (01:12:30):
I guess they can't take umbrellas into concerts. I wanted
to steal a couple of nice blunts, so you told
me I wasn't allowed because people have been coming back
for them because they were in a pile for people
to collect. They were like Stanley's frank Greens. They were
like really nice drink bottles that people you're high in
that people couldn't take it.

Speaker 1 (01:12:49):
So I stole a couple of those hot wash at home.

Speaker 3 (01:12:54):
When I was at high school, they banned prank Day
because the seniors kept duct taping units to trees day.

Speaker 1 (01:13:00):
Prank Day frank for the last day of the senior year.

Speaker 3 (01:13:03):
We've done a few phone and topics on prank Days
and they're always very funny.

Speaker 1 (01:13:07):
Some of them go to too. Wasn't there a school
that like set their whole field off fire? Yeah, I
think so early nineties.

Speaker 3 (01:13:15):
In high school, if you wore Doc Martin school shoes,
you had to nugget over the yellow stitching.

Speaker 1 (01:13:19):
Oh yeah, because we were the same. It had to
be black black shoes, those ugly office shoes you know.

Speaker 3 (01:13:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:13:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:13:29):
They also band slouch socks. Oh, you caught you had
to fold them down. School band of Pokemon cards, Minecraft QB's,
that's the ones that count Down had for a while.
Because it was a roaring black market trade go on there.
Rats tales were banned at high school. They even put
it in that teachers were allowed to cut them off
on site, so you had to keep your head on
a swivel or teachers would cut them off with scissors

(01:13:49):
they carried in the I can't imagine every teacher had
been cool with that. I don't think that must be
from a while ago. You couldn't get away with that.
Now you're going to so much trouble. No, the thriving
RaRo market was banded our school. That was where we
were just buying and selling different flavors of rarow and
is eating the crystal sugar.

Speaker 1 (01:14:05):
It's just entrepreneurial, to be honest. Yeah, I would applaud
their business. Mind, yeah exactly.

Speaker 3 (01:14:11):
Christ Church boys around six years ago try to ban
mullets and wrote mine ever going to cut them off
at the end of the holidays. But then all the
all blacks started having mullets, and of course that was
everybody looked up to christ Church, so they gave up.
I haven't seen emails about it for years. Okay, so
the bands continue to roll out real they do the.

Speaker 5 (01:14:29):
Zenm podcast network What's going On? Ms Fletched, Vaughn and Haley.

Speaker 1 (01:14:35):
I have some financial goals this year, the goal being
to have a bit of money at the end of it.

Speaker 3 (01:14:43):
As opposed to spending it on fun things.

Speaker 4 (01:14:46):
I did a lot of fun spending last year. To
be fair, you say I was filling a void this weekend.

Speaker 1 (01:14:53):
This week had a lot of fun spending. But you know,
it's January.

Speaker 4 (01:14:58):
We're sort of settling back into work life, and I
think a lot of people, you know, might have been
a bit laxydoodledandy with their spending goals because summer it's fun,
let's go out, let's do this, or you know, it's miserable,
let's just sit inside and go shopping online. There is
a woman she runs a TikTok and an instagram called

(01:15:19):
slow By Club. She's all about slowing down how he's
spend her money and also like just trying to stop that,
like what's the pulse thing that that we get because
we'll be looking online and it's just been advertised episode
advertised Chemical.

Speaker 1 (01:15:37):
Addict and when you're just online all day.

Speaker 4 (01:15:40):
You're just getting targeted things and literally some can come
up on your screen and then two clicks it's yours.

Speaker 3 (01:15:46):
So her idea is it's you slow slow down. Okay,
So she's got a method. It's called the slow by method.

Speaker 4 (01:15:51):
It's a little five step program that if you get
to step three and I'm gonna I'm going to do
it right, I need to do it live on air,
like an example, an example, if you've missed it, if
you weren't listening in the seven o'clock hour Satday night,
I did go out and I call it quote unquote

(01:16:12):
a rager and it resulted in me coming home without
my jacket.

Speaker 1 (01:16:17):
Yes, your famous human shop, like one of those op
shop finds that you're like, unreal, how long have you
It's been years you've had that years I've.

Speaker 4 (01:16:25):
Had it, and I it's just the blazer I smashed
the most, and I smashed it too hard that now
I guess someone else owns it.

Speaker 1 (01:16:31):
So I was like, right, for an example, I'll go online,
and I will.

Speaker 4 (01:16:36):
I just googled navy oversized blazer because that's the thing
that I need feel I need to replace, even though
I've got ten other blazers, but listen in particular, maybe
and I found one here two hundred and forty nine dollars.

Speaker 1 (01:16:46):
From super Ez. Okay, there's cheap for a blazer, is it?

Speaker 3 (01:16:49):
Okay, it's not cheap, but you're a nice blazer. But
maybe you just need to do some op shopping, which
I go to Sheihan that fuels hell. Yes, yeah, right, okay,
so let's just I'll pick a cheaper one. Okay for exams,
it doesn't matter. It's an exam.

Speaker 1 (01:17:04):
It's an exam.

Speaker 4 (01:17:05):
I'm not going to buy it, yep, because I still
have hopes somehow that it's going to turn up.

Speaker 1 (01:17:09):
It's not.

Speaker 4 (01:17:09):
It's gone anyway, it's gone. So two hundred and forty
nine dollars. And now I'm going to employ this slow
by method. Okay, number one by score from one to ten,
I'm like, buy a scool really eighty twenty?

Speaker 1 (01:17:21):
How badly you want it? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:17:23):
They by score one one to ten is the score
how likely you to actually buy it? Consider price, space, style,
and real life usefulness.

Speaker 1 (01:17:30):
Okay, so I'm going to give this blazer because I'm
replacing something that I absolutely loved. A by score of
eight okay. I'm just going to remember that out of
what eight, eight out of ten? Okay. So then I
go to the disappointment score. This is step two, one
to three.

Speaker 4 (01:17:44):
How upset would you be if it sold out or
if it disappeared, you know, if you sat on it
for a bit and then you went in there's like
completely sold out.

Speaker 3 (01:17:50):
Yeap, I'd be gutted. So I'm going to say three, okay, okay, three.
I would have thought they would have been like higher
than three if you were gutted. Wouldn't gutted be ten
and not gonna be one?

Speaker 1 (01:18:01):
No?

Speaker 7 (01:18:01):
No.

Speaker 1 (01:18:01):
The disappointment score is between one and three. Oh okay,
I do apologize. This is a shifting scale. I don't
like this is a she's come up with that.

Speaker 4 (01:18:09):
Okay, confidence score zero or one? How confident am I
in my first two scores that I've been accurate?

Speaker 3 (01:18:16):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (01:18:17):
Long A say one? Okay, okay.

Speaker 4 (01:18:19):
Then you multiply those three scores, so I've got eight
times three times one equals twenty four twenty for zero
to sixteen. Skip the purchase, yep, twenty five plus buy
with confidence in the middle.

Speaker 1 (01:18:32):
Which is me. We do the next two questions. Oh, Okay,
hasn't the next round? Two more questions? Number four? Who
is this product really? Four? Am I buying this for myself?

Speaker 4 (01:18:45):
Or am I buying it so that others perceive me
to be a cool girl with a navy blue oversized jock?

Speaker 3 (01:18:50):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (01:18:50):
Yes, yeah? Are you trying to impress friends or neighbors?

Speaker 4 (01:18:55):
Am I driven by comparison in security or a temporary
emotion the emotion the loss of my original oversized navy
blooe wow?

Speaker 3 (01:19:03):
Or is it like some kind of childhood thing that
you never got these toys as a kid and now
you can buy it.

Speaker 4 (01:19:08):
I always would see my dad come home from work
in a navy blue jacket and all day was his daddy.

Speaker 1 (01:19:15):
Daddy's out money city, Hailey can eat? I want my daddy,
you know. So who was this product really for? That's
a tough question for me. I'm sure is it for
your farm? But you wore you a jacket so much?

Speaker 3 (01:19:28):
I know last one you wore it for yourself, but
then you were also worrying it because it looked amazing.

Speaker 1 (01:19:33):
You want to impress.

Speaker 4 (01:19:33):
People, I know, and it's really leaving a hole in
my wardrobe, even though I've got ten other blazers not
like this. Okay, I'm going to ponder that question. See
how it's slowing me down. And I haven't bought the
jacket yet.

Speaker 1 (01:19:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:19:45):
The final question, and this one's great, What smart action
can scratch the same arch ohka rather than just like
scratch the actual lost my jacket last Night'm gonna get one. Now,
what else could I do that didn't cost money? It
was going to give me that little dopamine hill?

Speaker 3 (01:20:02):
Why not buying a jacket, for example, go to an
opshop and get one for ten dollars exactly. That's still
spending money, but that would be a slower action and
it would save you money.

Speaker 4 (01:20:10):
And actually the dopamine hit of finding an opshop score
huge healing for me.

Speaker 3 (01:20:15):
Yeah, and you need to smell them off balls. Yeah,
so what would your score now be? What would you
do now?

Speaker 4 (01:20:22):
No, you're done with the score. Just those last two
questions that like help you. And I think my using
the slow by method is I will not be buying
that jacket.

Speaker 1 (01:20:29):
Wowow it works.

Speaker 4 (01:20:31):
That's amazing, write a girl, methist. I now have two
hundred and fifty dollars to play with.

Speaker 1 (01:20:35):
No, no, is that you ruined that Dallas.

Speaker 3 (01:20:42):
