I have stayed friends with my new friend. We talk
most days.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
We do want to know she's the one that offered
you the plants. Yes, I don't know if we sit
on the podcast, but she gave you all of your plants.
She's literally moving across town.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
Yeah, she's staying in Auckland.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
But weird, like, why isn't she allowed the plants at
the new place? Is it the transporting of the plants?
So many questions?

Speaker 2 (00:59):
Yeah, leave me my manner. No, So a tragic time
at the myth Manner. Only one elevator is working at
the moment, which for a thousand people is jag. It's
really because there's been a few times where I go
to get in the elevator and it's like not too full,

(01:21):
and I have to miss a whole run and there's
a lot of flaws, and so it's it's rough times
for me. I will say, send your teas and peace,
thank you. So as I have to wait for the
one now elevator, I have to kind of go through.
I would call it a lobby, but I think it's
just a room with a vending machine. Can you verify
it's like the lobby, because I will say Flitch's apartment

(01:43):
has a lovely lobby, glitches a lovely lobby.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
Lovely lobby.

Speaker 2 (01:46):
Do you mean the one with the cultures or the
one without the culture?

Speaker 1 (01:49):

the ning machine? What are we talking?

What's a highlight?

Speaker 1 (02:04):

Speaker 2 (02:05):
Tim Tams for six bucks for a packet? I reckon, that's.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
Great, it's actually pretty good. If they're not on special.
That's what you paid the supermarket there's.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
Lots of like real food, which I think is great,
lots of noodles, a carrot, no, no, no, the first
she put it on crackers of course, and pork crackling,
which I'm getting into.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
Okay, Jesus Christ. So who do we call? I feel
like if you were a child would be calling.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
There's lots of good drinks and stuff as well. It's
a great machine. Only eat out of those guys.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
She's okay from the day as well, No need to consider.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, well yeah. Anyway, So I'm walking through
my hallway lobby. I see the vending machines. I'm no
treats today. But what I do see on the floor
and send a photo in the group chat for you guys,
a kettle plugged on the floor. Like there's no tables
or anything. There's just a kettle sitting there.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
Using the floor using communal power. This is smart. You're
paying for that.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
Because if you live on the top floor, you've got
to take that kittle all the way back up and
bring you.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
A cup of coffee down ju and then go back
to your top floor.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
People. The matt I didn't. Yeah, I can tell that the
kettle was recently boiled vie.

Speaker 2 (03:59):
We had our manager to come over recently to do
an inspection. She's like, oh, do you guys want to
renew the least? And we're like, yeah, we do and
she's like wow. She was like, do you guys enjoy
living here? I thought that was such a funny.

Speaker 1 (04:14):

you don't raise the rench and she's like, yeah, I.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
Don't worry, and she's on the phone the landlord got
these suckers are back for another year.

Speaker 2 (04:34):

can Shanna not afford to live? I do choose to
live there. I've lived in many places in Auckland.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
It's super close to work, Like I.

Speaker 2 (04:43):
Am okay, it is just like.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
I know that was where you live. You have to
reiterate to people you love. I'm okay.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
When I get in the elevators and the man is
still holding his bigging cup from the motorway, I just
don't really make eye contact. Yeah, he's lovely though.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
He is lovely when I've got it into the thing,
just trying to make his way in the world.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
One of them is my neighbor, Like we share a door.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
Sorry what he lives there too, but he collects money
in a cup.

Speaker 2 (05:12):
Yeah, the the thing. Yeah, okay, gets the joy of
coming here all the time, and you're.

Speaker 1 (05:19):
Going to do a whole other year there. Yeah, probably
too carwhen as you're a sort of semi father figure
in your life, I actually bear you from going to
her house.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
So do we want to reconsider having our zinium Christmas?
Do it? Shannons?

Speaker 1 (05:33):
It's just feeling like it does not really good an
escape room that if you don't, you don't.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
Do you know what though, we would have to take
a few shifts to get out because the elevator does
have it about six people currently and only one person
per room.

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Rewarded for bravery that goes above and beyond the call of duty, the Medal of Honor is the United States’ top military decoration. The stories we tell are about the heroes who have distinguished themselves by acts of heroism and courage that have saved lives. From Judith Resnik, the second woman in space, to Daniel Daly, one of only 19 people to have received the Medal of Honor twice, these are stories about those who have done the improbable and unexpected, who have sacrificed something in the name of something much bigger than themselves. Every Wednesday on Medal of Honor, uncover what their experiences tell us about the nature of sacrifice, why people put their lives in danger for others, and what happens after you’ve become a hero. Special thanks to series creator Dan McGinn, to the Congressional Medal of Honor Society and Adam Plumpton. Medal of Honor begins on May 28.
