Speaker 1 (00:00):
From the Zidium podcast network. It's Fleetforn and Haley's it's
a little bit of card.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
Welcome to a little bit of pod, guys. I've got
an update on my free flights, Saga. Do you remember
about this?
Speaker 1 (00:14):
Correct?
Speaker 2 (00:14):
Yes, for those that missed it, it was in the
Big Pod like a couple of weeks ago, we talked
about this. I booked some flights on the eighth of February,
and still to this moment, as we record this and
you listen to it, dear listener, my credit card has
not processed the payment for these flights.
Speaker 1 (00:34):
And I rang the and I mentioned this.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
I rang the credit card and they said that they
had authorized the company to take the payment, but they
haven't taken it. It's not pending. I have a ticket issued,
I have a ticket number and referenced. So for all
intentsive purposes, all intents and purposes and purposes, it's.
Speaker 3 (00:54):
Intense intents for all intense purposes, purposes and cans and
camping for all camping and purposes intense.
Speaker 1 (01:04):
I have intents. I have the ticket to fly.
Speaker 4 (01:08):
Hang on.
Speaker 3 (01:08):
It's so dodgy, though, like I know, at some point
the airline is going to go we're missing a couple
of hundred bucks.
Speaker 1 (01:17):
But then we and I mentioned this week we talked
about this.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
Our friends also have done this and had free flights
when they when they claimed points for a flight and
they never got reversed and they flew anyway.
Speaker 1 (01:29):
So this and I've.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
Googled this, and apparently this every now and again, very
rarely happened.
Speaker 4 (01:35):
So you're just a lucky boy.
Speaker 3 (01:36):
Well, I mean until you are sat buckled and taken
off in that flight.
Speaker 4 (01:41):
I think there's going to be a little anxiety around.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
It until your land flights through the flights you booked.
Was it one way?
Speaker 2 (01:49):
So it's but like robbing a band or killing someone,
you know, you're always looking over your shoulder for when
you're getting arrested.
Speaker 4 (01:59):
We shouldn't have done that.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
One day, I know, you lie awake, You're like, well,
are they going to bust my door down to today?
Speaker 3 (02:05):
This gay?
Speaker 5 (02:06):
No?
Speaker 1 (02:06):
So I was like, you know, I'm going to do
the right thing.
Speaker 2 (02:08):
Plus, I don't want to be stuck in some country
and then have to pay more or having to pay
more later in the year when they do their accounting
and realize that they fucked up. So I reached out
to this airline. I rang them, I rang them, and
the lady. The lady on the line said, how awfully queer.
(02:30):
I'll say, this is awfully queer.
Speaker 4 (02:32):
Having you look at my computer, hair all flicker, she.
Speaker 2 (02:35):
Said, I can see that it's ticketed and that you're booked,
and it's all good at my end. And I said, yeah,
but you haven't taken the money. And she said, of
all the years I've worked here, I don't know how
many that is, but of all the years, that indicates
quite a few. She said, I've never seen this happen.
Speaker 1 (02:52):
And I said, how awfully.
Speaker 4 (02:54):
Queer, how awfully queer.
Speaker 2 (02:56):
So then you're too, how awfully queiz Yes, And so
she said, you've got what I would do is email
booking at airline. It's an overseas air line, So I
don't feel bad about this, and she she spelled it
out b O okay, I n G.
Speaker 1 (03:13):
Thank you for spelling up booking.
Speaker 3 (03:14):
Well he did go to one okay, I n G
b I n G okay iron book name.
Speaker 2 (03:23):
So email this forward my e techer and say, look
here's what's happened.
Speaker 1 (03:26):
It's awfully queer.
Speaker 4 (03:28):
How old did you put that subject? Awfully queer as
a curl.
Speaker 1 (03:32):
Yeah, and I said a look.
Speaker 2 (03:34):
As much as I'd love a free flight, I'd love
for this to be rectified, because I don't want to
be stuck. Two two days later, two days later, an
email back from the airline system admin. This email doesn't exist.
What booking at airline? The one this email this lady
(03:55):
gave me doesn't exist.
Speaker 4 (03:56):

Speaker 2 (04:22):

number for the New Zealand office.
Speaker 5 (04:27):
Jesus, the amount of hours you're pumping into so with
you more or less have paid for it, like your
own fucking time trying here at airline.
Speaker 2 (04:39):

Speaker 1 (04:48):

Speaker 2 (04:50):
It must be some kind of office that deals with
a lot of airlines and book.
Speaker 4 (04:54):
You know, within within.
Speaker 2 (04:56):
A country they contract out to deal with the customer service. Well,
I have tried to ring this place. I reckon ten times.
I left an email a message we'll call you back you,
you know, so that you don't have to wait on
the line, because at one sage I waited like half
an hour.
Speaker 1 (05:12):

Speaker 2 (05:14):
I emailed them and said I need help with this booking.
Please call me back a week ago. The thing has happened.
Speaker 1 (05:23):
I have fucking tried. I'm giving up. I'm stopping now.
Speaker 4 (05:26):
The only thing is is this a real airline like
other reviews of this?
Speaker 2 (05:30):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's the legit whibs. I booked on
the airline directly. I'm calling the airlines.
Speaker 1 (05:36):

Speaker 4 (05:37):
Then I don't know what to do.
Speaker 1 (05:39):

Speaker 1 (05:44):

for it to make it sex, And now now we're
trying to make it. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (05:58):
Well, if they finally email me back, maybe I'll respond
to them, or if they do call me back, I've tried.
Speaker 4 (06:05):
You know, that's free money.
Speaker 2 (06:07):
Now I am almost thinking I should request a refund,
gets the money, and then booking another flight where they
actually take my money.
Speaker 4 (06:16):
You've got a free flight. Now you get free money.
Speaker 2 (06:18):

virgin on fraud.
Speaker 1 (06:25):
It's given fraud, it's giving, it's fraud. Live, it's it's fraud.
