Speaker 1 (00:00):
From the Zidium podcast network. It's fleashfuln and Hayley's a
little bit of pod Welcome to a little bit of
pod um. You know what fuck it, I'm thinking about
getting a cleaner. Oh yeah, it must be a solo
dad life.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
And also I feel like the idea of cleaner right
was always like for the rich. Yeah, but I looked
into it last year and they can be very affordable.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
Yeah. Actually a lot of people do do it. If
you do kind of the base stuff and have your
stuff tidy, then they require less time to do that
sort of thing.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
The pre clean and clean.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
Yeah. Yeah, I'm simply not doing the pre clean and clan.
If I'm paying someone to clean clean, I'm not cleaning
for them to be paid to clean.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
That's a real mum thing. A look up your shit,
the cleaner's coming.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
We never had a cleanic.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
We didn't have a cleaner, but like you know, we flats.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
That do it. And yes, because you would initially think
for flatmates that is the boogiest thing ever, but yeah,
sadly five bedrooms like twenty bucks each probably take care of.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
It weekly, especially like kitchen and bathroom.

Speaker 1 (00:59):
That's what yeah, yeah, places everyone if you're all students,
that might be a bit more streets.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
But if you were all working, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:09):
Chipping for a cleaner, get clean all they say, if you,
even if you were a student, like one of the mums,
would probably pay for it because they don't want their
little timmy living in a.

Speaker 3 (01:18):
Kind of dust. We can't have dustin asthmetic as a
kurred and he's thrown out of it. But we can't
go back.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
We can't go back to the right.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
I've packed in and haler.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
Just when I was messaging a few places. Yeah, that's say,
you know how many bedrooms and how many bathrooms and
what's the situation? Yeah, you're regretting that big house now?

Speaker 3 (01:35):
Yeah yeah, why did I put an extension? I made
it bigger.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
Yeah, a big one that needs to be clean more often. Yeah,
so I say four bedrooms, two bathrooms, current situations. I've
got my children fifty percent of the time. I work mornings, dada,
and they're like, okay, cool, we'll come around and give
a quote. And I got the vibe from a couple
of them. They were like single dads, run shiit holes, busy.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
Oh yeah, divorce loser, PlayStation everywhere.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
On the bloody oil read two weeks you know body
oil read two weeks Yeah, two weeks on, two weeks off.
And so one of the ladies came around to give
a quote and she walked down. She's like, I thought
we were going to need like one of those deep
cleans started off. But this is, in my fifteen years experience,
the cleanest house I've ever seen run by a single father.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
Oh, you had a lot of sort of like spring cleaning.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
A yeah, I take the time, and it's how I've
always cleaned, because I clean and when I was married.
But one hundred percent I don't want to clean because
I know that when I get into it, I'm not
going to be able to walk away until it's drill attachments,
these brush drill attachments. And I've been like deep cleaning
the floor. I actually, yeah, yeah, got your mom there.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
But she's maintaining. I mean, I need that deep clean.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
I've created all the house of fucking grooves every week
and I need I need to get into the bits.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
You know, old I would scrub Daddy does a damp duster.
I had too with one of those on that Yeah,
mine too. I had a bit of a tuto with
that on the old skirting scooty boards.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
Because minor or groovy.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
I've had some groovy ones too, I've got non grooves. Yeah,
you've done done well. I kind of head to yeah, groovy,
butt down, clean that damp dirddy duster. That's for another.
And so do you think you're going to do this?
It's quite astronomical. No, it wasn't. That wasn't what It

(03:37):
depends what you put your value on your time. Because
if I do it on the weekend and it's a
weekend when I've got the girls, yeah, like I'm cleaning
rather than spending time with my kids that I don't
get to spend.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
Every weekend with, it's always a good way to look
at it if you can, right, yes, like what's the
value of my time?

Speaker 1 (03:50):
And I've known friends that have done it when both
parents are working. They're just like, it's great coming on
to a clean houses other weekend. Nothing bitter, because if
you're the sort of person that it bothers, you get
bothered all weekend and don't relaxed. Just leave it dust, say,
like I do for a few weeks and then clean it.

Speaker 3 (04:03):
Yeah yeah, but then you leave it and then it's
like hoof the task.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
Are you going to get the robot vacum cleaner when
you're Maybe? But then also I was thinking, you divide
the cost of a robot vacuum cleaner. Yeah, you've probably
got a year years of cleaning. You know, those things
are not yet.

Speaker 3 (04:21):
I've had mine for years.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
Ah, and the bits have started bracking on to replaced
a wheel last week. I've replaced the batterer. I have
replaced all the different things, but it's still kicking. Yeah, okay,
I like it, except when you put it on as
you're leaving the house, and then it seems your notification.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
Be like help, I'm stuck in the rag. I've got
myself wound up in the curtain rope.
