Speaker 1 (00:00):
From the Zidium podcast network. It's Fleet and Haley's a
little bit of pod.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Welcome to a little bit of pod Now, Shannon, you
are you playing Scrabble again?

Speaker 3 (00:14):
So?

Speaker 1 (00:14):
I am an avid New York Times player?

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Wordlings? Still are you? She does all the time?

Speaker 1 (00:22):
Do you know it's crazy? A few weeks ago it
was for sure, that's the for sure. It's sad P
s h A W. And I didn't lose. I got
it in five.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
I thought this was a game exclamation used to show disbelief,
contempt or.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
Four.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
I spell it pH A O R four.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
Sure.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
But yes, I'm an avid New York Times girl. I
spend a lot of money on my subscription.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
Hey your money, honey.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
But on June tenth, this is important. On June tenth,
they released a new app and it's called cross Play,
which is literally just online Scrabble, but it's done through
New York Times.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
And you avoid the any kind of trademark by Scrabble.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
Yeah. Basically, I used to.

Speaker 2 (01:07):
Play the official when I had an iPad. I paid
Generation two ahead of my time. Wow, I used to
play online Scrabble like the official Scrabble. It's so good.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
I love it and it's just good for my mindfulness.
It's so good for words.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
And yeah, I just have a dictionary. And if you
don't know if the word this is how because me
and my dad play. If you don't know whether it's
a word or not, you can't play it. If you
need a dictionary to cross check, you can't play it.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
It shows up if it's a valid word or not.

Speaker 3 (01:39):
And I've genuinely never cheated because I couldn't live with myself.
So every night I do the crossword for New York
Times and then I play boyfriend.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
He's away a lot, yeah you.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
Know, but so I started on June tenth, the day
they released this app, I said them in and you
play with people online, so you connect through New York Times,
and I'm connected with this guy called MJ.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
Hey, yeah it's Sam. Yes, well he is from New York.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
Oh my god, Oh my god, he's from New York.
I don't know why I've got south West record, but
here we are.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
But m J and I yesterday hit a milestone. Since
June tenth, we have played fifty one games of scrapes.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
Man, I assume so his pictures a little Jane.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
Yeah, but this is cheating. You've got a bloody magician.
She's had a relationship on the site here, J, are
you spelling sileacious words to each other?

Speaker 1 (02:32):
One time?

Speaker 3 (02:35):
Let me do slush and he sent back, because you
can chat while you play, he seemed back, eyes.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
While you playing romantic crossing the lines, Crystal.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
Netflix, this is how.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
Like and all the police shows. I watched this and
they chat with each other criminals and games, so you
can't be chair.

Speaker 3 (02:59):
Yeah, and I have played fifty one games since June tenth,
consistently playing games.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
Yeah, I think Shannon is not getting crossing a line
because Shannon doesn't even know what MJ's gender is. No,
you're true.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
The only thing I know about MJ is their profile
pictures of Dragon. We've played fifty one games together and
one time they didn't play for like three days, and
I messaged them saying, have I offended you? I'm just
moving apartments. I live in New York. What country are
you in? And I said New Zealand And he said,
isn't it three am there? And I said, yes, Judgment
was playing before work. Yeah, yeah, yeah, but they're still

(03:38):
about but we genuinely play about two games of scrabble
a day full games as well, consistently throughout the day.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
About this person. Who are they? I want to know more?

Speaker 1 (03:48):
You would like unite like go I and meet in
the middle.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
Fly you to New York to play.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
Would be so much.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
I messaged him this morning, OMG, we've just hit fifty
games together.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
He hasn't replied yet. I don't know what time it
is in New York, at what time we're recording after after, But.

Speaker 3 (04:05):
This genuinely is like one of my new friends. Every
day I'll be like, my notifications pop up, MJ's played
a move.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
I'm like, oh, there's lots.

Speaker 3 (04:17):
Of people I played consistency with, but this is this
is scrabble playing a date Like I'm telling you, I
do that. I don't do it at work because I
see as soon as I start doing it during the show,
then I'm gone.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
You would play games on their phone during the show, the.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
Insane I would do. Yeah, so sorry.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
Just to clarify, you've got multiple partners.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
I've got playing partners more turns. I can play right now,
sitting on that two hours ago. And if someone doesn't
move in three hours, you can nudge them. You can
see them a push.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
Yeah, that's about it.

Speaker 3 (04:52):
I've got four turns ready to go, So once we
finished this podcast, I will be return.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
Well, we'll finish us now in New Scrabble.

Speaker 1 (04:59):
Yeah, I'll tell you when I had a hundred, and
I'll find out more about MJ.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
I want to know, like the job, the gender, something
about them in a relationship. How old are they?

Speaker 3 (05:09):
Does he work in an office and that's why he's
constantly scribbling, like maybe he's sad.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
Maybe he's looking for connections, or it's a housewife, I
don't know, a mom criminal, criminal, Yeah, big, stay tuned
on us. Were going to learn more about MJ.
