Speaker 1 (00:00):
From the Zidium podcast network.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
It's Fleechborn and Haley's a little bit of pod. Welcome
to a little bit of pod.

Speaker 1 (00:08):
Okay, first question, have you guys seen Green Wing? British
TV show early ten about the nurses but the hospital,
and it's just the most absurd comedy and it's brilliant
and it's honestly been one of my favorite shows since
I even saw it when I was right nineteen years old.
So my best is staying at the moment and we
were like, we felt like something watching something old. We're

(00:29):
tossing up between black Adder, Black Books, Screen Wing, and
Kath and Kim A year nice right, So like old
well Year was that two thousand thousand and four year old,
old old show.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
IMDb gives it eight point three out of ten. Rodin
Tomandowo's eighty six percent.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
It was one of those two seasons and done and
it just got canceled and everyone's like, what the helly?

Speaker 2 (00:50):
Wow, Okay, so we're watching that, they said, as they said,
what the helly? The helly?

Speaker 1 (00:55):
And then we're watching this and then she gets the
main character gets a how woman gift and she opens
it and it's a foot spar and then later on
we see her at her flat having a foot spar
and she drops her dinner into it, and I just
suddenly had the question like, do you fucking remember foot spars?

Speaker 2 (01:13):
Yes? They yes, because this scene I'm just looking at
the IMDb. It was filmed two thousand and four to
two thousand and seven. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:21):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
And that was the peak of when it was like
what should we get mom for Mother's Day?

Speaker 2 (01:25):
What should get mother? Prestles should love her foots My
mom would never have gone for something like that. She'd
just call it silly. I've never used it, and it
would just take it gone. Where have they gone?

Speaker 1 (01:37):
Like the weirdest things?

Speaker 2 (01:38):
You're right, because they were the go to gift gat women.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
And then I see to my best friend, I was like,
oh my god, imagine us just sitting here watching Italian.
Both of us is his wet feet.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
Because then you've got to have a towel by you
and then your feet are weir. How did you? I
never had one?

Speaker 3 (01:53):
I don't think my mum didn't have one.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
How would you?

Speaker 3 (01:57):
How would you empty it? You'd have to pick it
up full of water and are weird? It's not too big,
it's kind of Yuk. Yeah, your feet to go under,
it's gonna it could splash.

Speaker 2 (02:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
I just was like, oh my god, I forgot that
they existed. I forgot all the talk about, oh gosh,
we get her a foot spar, Like I don't need
a foot spar.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
Was I think maybe the uptake of like salons and
the nail places and the pedicule you get your foot
spar there. Yeah, there's no need for one at home.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
It's a weird It was just a weird, like blast
from the past when I was like, these are all
the ray.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
Because they weren't expensive. They are cheap appliants.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
And they just sit there, like how often did mum
count the foot spar Really in the reality of this.

Speaker 3 (02:47):
I'm just doing a cook google of what are the
stupidest appliances of all time?

Speaker 2 (02:50):
You're great.

Speaker 4 (02:53):
There was the cassidina and popcorn makers, bulky placetic units
head up slowly when basically you do it in a
pan or a pot.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
Yes, the popcorn makers. You're like, what the hell.

Speaker 3 (03:05):
Is some specific egg poaches because it's just you were
just cooking your egg and place that Oh we love.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
Places, we love place.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
It's the best adventure.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
An electric banana slicer okay, designed.

Speaker 3 (03:17):
To slice one exact fruit or oh yeah, and a
hot dog toaster. What is their Wi Fi connected kettles?
What I wouldn't mind abul to sit in the lounge
and turn the kettle.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
On such a walk such a wall.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
And starts going back up and it'll be just good
to go once, you know, I make the cuppa while.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
You're up there.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
Your kitchen and lounge are connected. But heaven for bird
got up there. Yeah, you can turn it on, but
it doesn't freaking fill it with water.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
So anyway, I hope it would have something on there
that would tell you.

Speaker 1 (03:49):
I couldn't imagine anything worse than just sitting on my
carpet or my rug. But there's footspart plug some extinction
cord because there's no power points near the couch with
my feet just sort of away.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
They still make them. I'm just looking here and Camart
do one for forty five dollars and it almost looks
very much like the Briskoes one, which is one hundred
and twenty nine. So they kind of go up in
who is doing is doing? Individual foot? Look at those
they're like like spar shoes.

Speaker 3 (04:22):
I hate them. An article of the worst home appliances,
and number eight on the list is the exact same
thing you've got for your cat to drink.

Speaker 2 (04:34):
That's like one of the best appliances of either. Does
your cat found?

Speaker 3 (04:38):
It is yours connected to the Wi Fi yep, And
so you can see how much water your cat's drinking.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
Yeah, no, I can see when it's low to fill
it up.

Speaker 4 (04:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
He uses it every day. He runs throw more than
like a bowl of still water. He does it, keeps morving.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
He hates Stilleah. I put a bucket on the porch
and he catches the rain water and he drinks from theirs.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
I'll put fresh water in my cat's boiler and see
him drinking out of some mankey bucket been out in
the rains.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
Paintbrushes soaking in the air, and these Yeah, I'm a cat.
I got to make these kidneys work.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, get it.
