I'm just going to come out and say it because
I keep saying, let's talk about my new crafts.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
Were you're talking the other day about your Ali.

Speaker 3 (00:14):
Express unexpressed burgundy fringing? Okay, what that's for? I kept saying,
let's do at my new crafts on radio.

Speaker 4 (00:21):
But I say, let's wait until they're finished.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
And famously Hailey Sprowl jumping from one thing to the
next without even.

Speaker 5 (00:29):
Doing I saw her skateboard, did you when I went
in a house of that? It's it was that when
you were running. I went around and I was evaluating
the hedges.

Speaker 4 (00:37):
Yeah no, it was Nick and Alemmons, yea Lemons and
lines yeah yeah, yeah yeah.

Speaker 3 (00:42):
So I got three on the go okay craft three
craft projects on the guy.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
You were busy renovating.

Speaker 4 (00:49):
So busy.

Speaker 3 (00:50):
Yeah, and every day I've got four crafts on the go. Okay,
four crafts on the go. Okay, I'm going to go
through them.

Speaker 4 (00:57):
One. I'm making lamp shades.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
Okay, when to your last lamp shades?

Speaker 3 (01:01):
Now, I don't do you know what, I'm going to.
New Zealand doesn't have enough funky lamp shades. Okay, I've
got five ideas. Okay, one lamp shades. I'm making lamp
shades and making two lamp shades. One of them i'm
doing fabric, and i'm doing fringing, like tiered fringing.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
That'll catch fire from a hot light.

Speaker 3 (01:16):
No tiared fringing. And in the in this inside, I'm
gold leafing it. But I got the wrong glue for
the gold leaf and all went clumpies. I've got to
stand that back, and I've got all the material, but
now I'm waiting on the fringing, which has been delivered
to the wrong adress.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
What's the lamp shade made of? You see? Yet to
stand it back?

Speaker 4 (01:32):
Shit, wouldn't it.

Speaker 3 (01:32):
It's like a fabric, but it's just clumped. So when
I say sand it back, I'll just give it a
scuff of something. I'm going to reglue it.

Speaker 4 (01:39):
Okay, So I'm.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
Making lamp shades, and the other lamp shade i'm making them,
I'm winding wool around it to make this kind of
fabric textured lamp shade. But it's so boring wrapping it
that I've wrapped about a fifth of it and it's
just sat there. And so I'm making these lamp shades
and I was like, I'm going to bring them in
you to be so impressed, but I'm just like, that's
just not They're not ever going to.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
Be made, Haley, what is the problem.

Speaker 3 (02:04):
And then Okay, on the side of that, I'm going
to start a website making lamp shades because I've really
struggled to find cool, funky, colorful lamp shades in New Zealand.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
You can't even make the two lamp shades for yourself.

Speaker 4 (02:14):
Yeah, So the website.

Speaker 5 (02:17):
Steve Jobes just Winning Jobs whatever his name was. Jobs
just went to build a computer first pop, She's a crafts.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
Woman that take time.

Speaker 4 (02:27):
They've ordered the lamp show like it's two hundred dollars,
but you gotta wait.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
I imagine you start this website and you get like
flooded with orders and then you're like, fuck, what.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
Have I dunk?

Speaker 1 (02:38):
And then you're like, you know what, I'm going to
make all of these and then you just dot and
then they you get in the press for bad.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
Oh yeah, totally, you get fine. I'm making lamp shades,
and side to that, I'm making a website. The third
craft project I've been working on is I'm making I'm
getting secondhand picture frames and I'm putting instead of mount them,
you know, on like a bit of card, I'm getting
fabric and making like fabric mounts behind it.

Speaker 4 (03:06):
Looks really cute. It's really nice.

Speaker 3 (03:08):
Yeah, little pinterest and spow there. You get this fabric
and you kind of glue it on like that. That
one's I've actually made one of those, okay. And I
have a collection of vintage frames that I've been doing
and the other crafts that I've got. That denim jacket
I spoke about and I've been patching it up with
Timu patches. Well I got that going, and I don't
have enough patches.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
That's if you're filling it right up.

Speaker 3 (03:28):
The right, like fifteen patches. I've ordered thirty more patches.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
Oh wow, what say? Oh?

Speaker 3 (03:35):
They're just pictures like like kind of tattyy vibes. You've
got some cats in there, that kind of stuff. Do
you know? What's funny is that the other craft were forgotten,
which is sort of telling, oh, oh.

Speaker 4 (03:51):
No, this one's really cool. Okay, is that this one's
really cool? So my popper was a house painter. Did
I talk about this?

Speaker 3 (03:58):
And I have as drop cloths from years of houses,
all different colored splats on it, kind of like a
Jackson Pollock almost, but from genuinely Hymn painting houses. And
he just sat there. So I was like, why don't
we make it into a bit of art. Get a canvas,
cuts them out, pull it on there, get the you know,

(04:18):
pull it nice and tight. You've got this kind of
pollocky thing. But it's my pops paint house painting drop cloths.
And then I was like, and then I'll frame it.
So I've bought the timber, but I don't know how
to do a miter cut. So there's just timber sitting there,
a blank canvas sitting there, the drop cloth sitting there.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
So that diagnosis when when when? Because I'm but I reckon.

Speaker 4 (04:48):
This saw and they're all buzzer.
