Speaker 1 (00:00):
From the ZDM Podcast Network.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
It's Fletch Vaughan and Hayley's Little Bitter Pod. Welcome to
A Little Bit of Pod, and we go to another
chapter of Meth Manor. This is the affectionate term for
Shannon's apartment building. Yes. Actually, you know what we didn't mention, Shannon,
is your, are we allowed to say what was scribbled
on the door of your neighbour's?
Speaker 1 (00:21):
Oh my goodness, yes.
Speaker 2 (00:23):
Oh, double episode, double episode.
Speaker 1 (00:25):
And a bit of an update on.
Speaker 2 (00:26):
It as well. Oh my goodness. Oh, fantastic. Okay, well
let's start with the photo we had a few weeks ago,
which was your.
Speaker 1 (00:31):
Neighbour's Yeah, let me find the photo. It is crazy.
So I've sent you guys a photo of this neighbour
situation before because we spoke about in a little bit
of pod, they had an eviction notice on their door.
Speaker 2 (00:41):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (00:42):
And it said because they kept putting stuff in the...
What's it called outside your doorway?
Speaker 2 (00:47):
In the hallway.
Speaker 1 (00:48):
Foyer?
Speaker 2 (00:49):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1 (00:50):
You're not allowed to put anything outside your door.
Speaker 2 (00:52):
I'm sorry, a foyer is the main entrance. Downstairs, main lobby.
Speaker 1 (00:55):
See, I say that's lobby.
Speaker 2 (00:56):
No offence to Meth Manor, but there's no foyer. There's
no foyer. There's certainly not a foyer.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
There's a foyer. It's a hall.
Speaker 2 (01:02):
It's the hallway. You'd be lucky to call that an entrance.
Speaker 1 (01:04):
Yeah, yeah. So I walked past their door. This was
about two or so weeks ago. And scribbled in the
most meth-y handwriting I've ever seen.
Speaker 2 (01:13):
In vivid? In vivid.
Speaker 1 (01:14):
And the spacing is all cooked. It says, anyone entering
this apartment without owner being here, being will be in
court for trespass.
Speaker 2 (01:22):
Yeah, that's great, actually. One more time. One more time.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
Anyone entering this apartment without owner being here, being will
be in court for trespass.
Speaker 2 (01:31):
A human being will be in court for trespass. There
is a lot of pressure when you're writing with permanent marker.
Especially when you start too big, you've got to trail off,
you've got to small down the side. And that's what
that permanent marker is really on the person. Start straight.
You start off with a lot of gusto, don't you?
Speaker 1 (01:49):
As I said, there was an eviction notice and then
this appeared. So I was like, okay, well, they're gone,
but they're trying to keep their stuff there was kind
of what it was giving, that they weren't allowed to
be there, but their stuff was there. There is a
sign on their door saying smile for the camera, but
there's no camera.
Speaker 2 (02:02):
So is it still on the door?
Speaker 1 (02:04):
Yes, it is. I walked past it yesterday. It's still
on the door. But an update on it, outside their
door is the exact same clothes hanger washing situation that
got them evicted in the first place. So I think
they are still in there. They're drying their clothes out there.
They've got a bath mat and some towels. Do you
think they're living their... Like after being kicked out? Squatting.
Speaker 2 (02:21):
Squatting. Squatting in their own previous apartment. Or they're the
ones that wrote that on the door so their landlord
doesn't come in?
Speaker 1 (02:27):
I think it's, the handwriting is giving it's a Methiavicti
who's written it.
Speaker 2 (02:32):
I will say. Okay, well good luck with that one.
Speaker 1 (02:34):
Yeah, no, and these are my direct neighbours as well. Yeah,
like your doors are next to each other.
Speaker 2 (02:39):
Yeah. Would you say you share a wall?
Speaker 1 (02:41):
No, so they're my other side.
Speaker 2 (02:42):
Oh, okay, okay, okay.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
Yeah. Too many Ks, Hayley.
Speaker 2 (02:45):
I said KKK and then I was like, say more,
say more, say more. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (02:51):
So that's an ongoing situation. But no, also in my building,
weirdly there's advertisements on a on a TV outside the elevator. Well,
we've got to get some flip phone and Hayley, you know,
listen 6 to 10. I'm going.
Speaker 2 (03:03):
Not enough we want them, do we? You did get
recognised in your, there is a listener, isn't there? Yes,
there is. Already in your building.
Speaker 1 (03:08):
Yes, someone said it's a lovely day in Meth Manor
and I said.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
Yes it is. Meth Towers. Yes.
Speaker 1 (03:14):
So there's this TV and often it's advertising things for
Auckland Live, the locals. It'll be like go to the
Civic and watch the show. So in theory, actually FEH
Live should be on there. we're not doing an Auckland
show this time but next time if we did an Auckland.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
Again it's a simple 55 minute drive to Hamilton I
mean come.
Speaker 1 (03:32):
On true I could put a note in but there's
also so it rotates between ads and also instructions there's
a new rule at the building about pigeons they've gotten
really strict about feeding them we're not allowed to bring
them in anymore no well they've always said you're not
allowed to feed them but it says.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
Like you're allowed to roast them No, well. Or poached.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
We saw that. Oh, I know.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
You mean like make fun of them. They're like, hey, pigeon. Oh, yeah.
Your mum is so fat. So fat she can't fly. Yeah,
she can't fly. She's like a Taka hay.
Speaker 1 (04:00):
Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (04:01):
Take that, bitch. The pigeon's just like, I've written to
management about this.
Speaker 1 (04:06):
It's on a very high rotate, something saying you will
be evicted if caught feeding the pigeons. Okay. They're taking
it very seriously. But one thing that is showing up
on the TV more and more often.
Speaker 2 (04:14):
I'd love to see that stand up in The Hague, though,
to be honest. Oh, my God. Yeah, me too, actually.
Speaker 1 (04:20):
A new ad says the S sticker. This sticker helps
promote patience and respect for senior drivers. And then there's
a QR code and a website called the S sticker
dot com. And it shows off. Imagine like a learner
L plate. There's an S plate now. And my building
is telling me senior. I've seen.
Speaker 2 (04:38):
Seriously slow.
Speaker 1 (04:39):
SS.
Speaker 2 (04:40):
That's got a connotation as well. You can't do SS
in here. No. I've seen this advertised. I've seen news
stories about this as well. Yeah. It's like, I guess
it's just for people wanting, they want people to give patience.
Speaker 1 (04:52):
That's fine.
Speaker 2 (04:53):
I'm happy to give you patience, but get out of the.
fucking right lane because that's the fast lane it is just.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
Weird though because my building is not super senior ford
like it's a lot of mainly international people yeah yeah
yeah there's not a lot of old people i have
not really seen many but now they're telling us to
respect the senior drivers.
Speaker 2 (05:11):
I'm gonna get one of these for mum's car that'll
piss her off oh my god bev would hate that
she'd actually spit at me admitting that you're old Yeah.
It just won't do it. An old sticker. And also,
if you're that doddery and driving like that, you probably
shouldn't be driving. I sort of want one on my car,
and then they see me being like, and they're like,
go Nana. Yeah, go Nana. And then they look at you,
(05:33):
and they're like, oh, yep.
Speaker 1 (05:34):
And then they're like, Nana's keeping it tight for an
elderly lady.
Speaker 2 (05:38):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1 (05:41):
I feel like it would encourage cops to pull you over, though,
because they would want to check if you're too old
to drive. Like if you do anything mildly.
Speaker 2 (05:47):
Wrong, they'd be like, stop, stop.
Speaker 1 (05:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (05:51):
You want them pulling you over. Just to say hello. Yeah.
Get their number. Have a look. Oh, wow.
Speaker 1 (05:56):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (05:56):
So the meth matter continues.
Speaker 1 (05:59):
Yeah. Lots more ads, lots more pigeons and maybe a
meth addict next door.
