Speaker 1 (00:00):
Daily bespoke content that you won't find on the radio
show The dar Keep Breakfast Podcast.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Welcome along to the first Bite of the Cherry, the
first podcast to see the sun, the first to see in.

Speaker 3 (00:09):
A new day, the day of our Lord, June the
eighth Monday, the eighth of June. Well, the only one
who feels a little bit of pressure nowt that where
the we've realized we're the only well we're the first
podcast to say the sun.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
Well, I think you could look at it as a
precious situation, or you could think we'll get the first
bite of the cherry. So whatever whatever is out there,
whatever cherries are.

Speaker 3 (00:29):
Out there, oh we get the first take.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
We just nibble, so we can nibble anything. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (00:34):
Well, I've been away a week wedding a weekend, so
I don't even know what's going on. Oh how about
you narthing?

Speaker 2 (00:38):
Where'd you go?

Speaker 3 (00:39):
We was a winning christ Church shout out a cross
church men enough to admit this probably on the podcast
is not on the radio, just because we're all friends here.
There is something I've entirely acclimatized to Auckland. Now as
soon as I land in christ.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
Church, my lips chat.

Speaker 3 (00:54):
Oh you same every single time I land in christ Church.
Straight up, I'm bearing off the plane and my missus
off for a meded bloody blas sticks.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
Yeah. Same. Is it the dryness of the year, I
think so, no moisture in.

Speaker 3 (01:07):
There, Wendy, Yeah dry. My nose is always running crash
Church as well. That's the other thing, even as a
kid grown up Radio Awards Thursday Night, Radio Awards Thursday
Night and to Friday, a brave effort on the show
into straight home and then tried to kind of sleep.

(01:31):
I'm still a terrible napper. I may have got an
hour or something and to out to the airport. Oh,
flying out a crash chirch. I mean the miss is
our flight scheduled to leave at eight cought a awkleard.
Traffic didn't matter because the flight gods are laid three times.
So we sat at outside gate thirty two for about
an hour hour and a half. Reason there was weather

(01:54):
around the country and that head that head, and.

Speaker 4 (01:58):
It's a little bit of weather, or here is some weather.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
There's always weather around. There's weather around in Napier. That
was what they were saying. And I saw at least
one person's walk up to the counter and go, what
the fuck does weather in NAP have to do with me?
And that's because our pilot was coming from there to
then fly us down, so we didn't have a pilot,
and I said, I'll fly the fucking thing. Oh, just
get me out of here. But they said that sort

(02:22):
of rolls around that said, you know, Denzel Washington, You've
at least got to have a suit and a hat
on that.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (02:27):
Well, speaking of radio awards though, yeah, and talking about
Denzel Washington and the movie where he flies the plane
upside down, Yeah, similar steak for mine.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
I wouldn't have been wanting and I to be the
person that was flying the plane on Friday upside down.
I mean, you only just landed it, so.

Speaker 3 (02:42):
I should have. I should have shown them. Hey, I
don't know about take it off.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
I landed. I landed this thing under Jurist last night.

Speaker 3 (02:50):
I don't know if you've seen I Don't love if Who.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
Here we go, Yeah, chick, it is the podcast. It's
out of eleven am on iHeart Radio or wherever you
get your pots.

Speaker 6 (02:58):
Yeah, so you're here to so three hours lay. So
you're out at the airport for three hours. It gets
worse than that because oh yeah, yeah. And then so
we landed like ten thirty yeah, Friday night. It was
a dozy on a Friday.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
Man.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
Yeah, that sucked. Then that night we stayed in an airbnb.
There must have been like four or five bedrooms in
this thing is a bunch of my partner's family, and
it's one of these houses that's got like the central
heating sort of situation, the HIV situation, so you don't
have control of the climate in your own room. Who

(03:36):
has the control of the climate is basically whoever changed
it last before they went to bed, and one of
her cousins went and.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
Flicked it on to like thirty degree. Oh no, yeah,
it's a mistake. It's a rocky era, I know.

Speaker 3 (03:51):
She was like, oh, it's so cold, and here I'm
gonna crank this birch out. So now the whole house
is thirty degrees and it's like, you wake up feeling
so fucking one of the worst feelings that in a
poll of swept me and the misses. So then you
open the window, but it's minus two degrees in christ
Church and then this thirty degree ear coming out of
the roof vent, which is just a recipe for it.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
It's just going to keep cranking out a.

Speaker 3 (04:17):
Yeah because then because then it's struggling to warm your
room up and then probably struggling to warm everyone else's
room up because it's still in the whole house. So
it's a recipe for waking up feeling real fluid.

Speaker 5 (04:27):
And real alarm bells for me as your A hungover
and b have hardly had any sleep. And in fact,
I would be one of those people that would say
something like, oh, I was at the airport for longer
than I had sleep last night, awesome, and that would
bring me down.

Speaker 4 (04:42):
I'd be hot, I'd be hungover.

Speaker 2 (04:43):
I would be And you've got chat lips, Chap lips.

Speaker 3 (04:49):
I was, and I'll we'll discuss it on the radio show.

Speaker 2 (04:54):
But had Chap lips to boot.

Speaker 3 (04:59):
Chapman ass and Chips and two Glen Chap Daniel Glens
and they listen to this podcast and I talked about
the thing Chap Daniel Glenna.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
We've all come away with Chap Daniel Glen. The name
of this podcast, Terrible just gets around the Chep Daniel Glens. Once.
Once one person goes down with Chap Danel Glens, you
find it just cuts.

Speaker 3 (05:27):
Through the whole side of their family. That will be like, oh,
you know that guy you made it the window. You know,
he does a radio show and a podcast. Should I
wonder if he talks about the winding, gu should go.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
And listen to it? What chap won't fects there? You know?

Speaker 3 (05:43):
Jerry said that all right, not be that's the seven shower,
he said, So then you think, you know what winning
You know, winnings. Winnings are fun. I'll just the other
living person once I get deal, will be right. But no, no,
it was a dry wedding. They were married, you know.

(06:05):
He he was marrying into the Church of Jesus Christ
of Latter Day, saying, ah, yeah, and so get to
respect that.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
I think that's Billy Idol that said it's a nice
day for a dry wedding.

Speaker 3 (06:16):
Dry wedding. Yeah, and I and I think, you know what,
I spent the entire day thinking this is yeah, definitely
men the missis were thinking that. There was also talk
of do we just leave a bit of person out
in the car park running back and forth with a
little unco uh we just you know, I just commit
to a dry wedding, you know how come on, what

(06:38):
do you need?

Speaker 2 (06:39):
You got to have.

Speaker 3 (06:39):
Alcohol to have fun.

Speaker 4 (06:40):
I just still drink from Thursday.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
Plus I still hosed. But this is Saturday.

Speaker 3 (06:44):
This is Saturday. Ye, I don't know. I gave it
a good shake.

Speaker 2 (06:48):
I still you hope that the anal? What was it? Now?

Speaker 1 (06:57):
Ye?

Speaker 2 (07:00):
Chap there.

Speaker 4 (07:03):
See.

Speaker 3 (07:04):
And it's strangely enough, I still felt hung.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
Over the next day.

Speaker 3 (07:08):
Oh wow, yeah, next day Sunday, Sunday. Yeah, but that's
probably still from Thursday.

Speaker 2 (07:14):
Wow, yeah Thursday. How were you doing on Thursday? Still
be hung Sunday winning awards?

Speaker 3 (07:24):
So yeah, yeah, yeah, beg We can shout out to
cross htach Man really charging his good spot.

Speaker 2 (07:30):
Were you in christ Church? Christ Church? Or were you
out of cross Church? I was in with your Chaim skies.

Speaker 3 (07:36):
Wegraham, Yeah, Chief chief Rough Wigram that's named after No,
this is Wigram's one of these classic you know, new
build suburbs. That's pop Wims always been there. Used to
be the Air Force base there, and so all of

(07:56):
the streets around Wigham are named after like Ketty Hawk
and you know all these different plane names. Oh yeah,
and the houses all look exactly the same. It's very
easy to get lost around. There is there a Ryan
av I feel like there is Hercules Street. I think
there might be Hercules More Street, Mosquito Plaza. There is

(08:18):
a mosquito?

Speaker 2 (08:19):
Is there a mosquito?

Speaker 4 (08:20):
Gotcha?

Speaker 2 (08:20):
Is there? ERICOI? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (08:22):
ERCOI lane yeap ERICOI Lianes spit Fire Street, yep, spit
Fire streets. Mustang Sally wait gives you a better slow
that Mustang down close.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
I think that it's called clothes.

Speaker 3 (08:35):
Yeah, I believe it's.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
Jerry and Manaia joined the ConFlat the HDARKI Breakfast discussion
group on Facebook. For more Jeremy Wells and Mania Stuart

Speaker 3 (08:48):
Remember that show, we definitely learned all the differences between
the different roads, lanes, drives and things.

Speaker 2 (08:55):
Yes, parades, yes, I feel like we could re learn
that again. Religate that well I've lost I've lost that information.
I know that a parade was along a body of water. Yeah,
believe a parade? Yeah it is.

Speaker 3 (09:09):
Yes, that's why there's Oriental parade, marine parade and tan Yes.
At the mountain napier a marine parade yeah yeah.

Speaker 2 (09:19):
Peach Parade. Interestingly, in Snellius is not along a body
of what. I don't know what that's about. But there's
also what's the Oh that's paratot drive.

Speaker 3 (09:30):
To drive?

Speaker 2 (09:30):
He drives?

Speaker 3 (09:31):
Another one to drive?

Speaker 2 (09:32):
An a is between two roads.

Speaker 3 (09:35):
Yes, yeah, yeah, not speak of his with a boulevard,
which I believe is where the lanes are separated by
a tree lining of some sort or some sort of
medium strip.

Speaker 2 (09:45):
Yeah. And of course you can have a place that's
oftentimes no exit.

Speaker 4 (09:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (09:53):
There was another one that meant there was a hedge
at the.

Speaker 2 (09:57):
End of it.

Speaker 3 (09:58):
Oh, really something like that, not Glenn Glenn, Glenn Fern Glenney. Well,
what I don't stand is I live on an avenue
and it's fucking definitely not as it did end.

Speaker 2 (10:13):
Oh yours is what?

Speaker 3 (10:14):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (10:14):
Nah? Yeah, I know it shouldn't be.

Speaker 3 (10:17):
I agree. Avenues as I understand them, are between two roads.

Speaker 2 (10:22):
Does a street run east west and a road runs
north south? Is that the way it worked?

Speaker 1 (10:30):
No?

Speaker 2 (10:30):
I think it because it should.

Speaker 3 (10:32):
I think the street was urban and a road not necessarily.

Speaker 2 (10:37):
Okay, I'm just thinking about my neighborhood. But you've got
like you know, Ponsonby Road to der Voice Road, and
you've got a whole lot of streets that run off it.

Speaker 3 (10:52):
Yeah, yeah, lock I man, we probably should have been
thinking in front.

Speaker 2 (10:55):
Of us if we can.

Speaker 4 (10:56):
Probably I was looking for I couldn't fine, so.

Speaker 2 (10:59):
Overall, so overall a rating, taking out your chapped anal glens,
well how can you? And the unfortunate incident with the heater, with.

Speaker 3 (11:11):
The overheater, I don't worry that happened the next time.

Speaker 2 (11:15):
That was a common mistake. I see that oftentimes it
People will get onto one of those fidgitsus and they'll
crank it up to thirty, like, come on, we'll get
this place. Well, you can just put it on twenty
two and it'll get there, and it'll get it just
as quick it wants to get there, like just because
it goes oh my god. The physicians doesn't go, oh
my god, we're gonna get it dirty quick. It just
gets there as quick as it can. Yeah. I say.

Speaker 3 (11:35):
People do it with ovens too, Yeah, they go, I
need to get it to two hundred. I'll put it
on fucking four hundred. Yeah, and then it'll get there
quicker though, and it'll still get there just as quick
as it can. It'll just turn off when it gets there.
It's like when you get in a car and someone's cold,
and so they crank that thing all the way to
the max. Like they just put it on the heat
you need it on and stop fucking because then we're

(11:56):
going to be sitting there for the rest of this trip.
You're gonna be turning it up, turning it down. So
to get up to take it down, wanting you ended
out wanting it.

Speaker 2 (12:01):
Up and need to do an add on TV about that.

Speaker 3 (12:03):
It should be a public service announcement. Just put it
on the thing you needed on.

Speaker 2 (12:07):
Yeah, they I mean years ago they did an add
about jeans. We've talked about it before on the shown.
You know, don't don't swim in jeans, And I think
this is more important than that. Nobody's swimming in jeans anymore,
that's for sure. When was the last time you saw
someone swimming jeans?

Speaker 3 (12:21):
That American fella, some sort of politician or something. He
was in an ice bath in jeans the other day.
I saw a video of him getting in and out
of an ice bath in jeans.

Speaker 4 (12:36):
Saw a video of them catturing a snake.

Speaker 2 (12:38):
Really, do you guys follow him on the on?

Speaker 4 (12:41):
Like socials try not to, but he keeps popping up.

Speaker 3 (12:45):
I mean, you see a man in jeans, that'll stop
you in your tracks, really scrolling a man and jeans
getting out of an ice bath, dropless, Yeah, yeah, topless?

Speaker 2 (12:52):
What is what?

Speaker 3 (12:53):
Americans? They think it looks so sick they have pants
on with like a singlet or topless. I think it
looks so goofy.

Speaker 2 (12:59):
Yeah, shirtless content, shirtless content, that's what it's all about.

Speaker 3 (13:03):
But yeah, back to the heat thing. Yeah, that's that's
always driven men saying the person who puts it on
something higher than what they need. Yeah, because you're gonna
forget as well. You're often quite a forgetful person if
you're doing that kind of stuff. And then we're now
we're cooked. Yeah, and now I see it. Yeah, fluy feeling.

Speaker 5 (13:21):
Could you bring it into the school curriculum because I
think you should have your conditioning listens and I think
you should have listens on people using a fucking microphone
at a wedding.

Speaker 2 (13:31):
Oh, just general life. It should be called life life
skills and yeah, chuck and microphones at weddings. Basic technology.
Also just basic kind of banking skills. And you know,
some financial, basic financial, some basic food advice some exercise advice,

(13:52):
you know, just basic stuff.

Speaker 3 (13:53):
I always wanted that with home economics, they called it
home economics, and I was coming through it was cooking, same,
but it was nothing other than cooking. I was like,
there's more to First of all, this got fuck what
to do with the economy and one aspect of being
in a home.

Speaker 2 (14:09):
School, Yeah, I think it was to do with it
was meant to be that they were teaching you how
to how to eke out, you know things, and I
think it was in the day when baking and stuff
was cheaper. Yeah, which is just a it's not so
stupid to go and buy it much more expensive.

Speaker 3 (14:28):
It's like when people plant a veggie, guns are going
to spend all year growing and herb. We had a strawberry.
We had a couple of strawberry bushes last summer. It
was like, all right, it's your week to have us strawberry,
and next week I will have a strawberry unless the
cat or the birds get to it.

Speaker 2 (14:46):
It's just so not worth it. The only one that's
oftentimes with it those little cherry tomatoes because you can
plant those counts that at lab weekend and then come Christmas,
you you got yourself a whole lot of cheer Tom
and there's heaps them. Yeah, and that dude taste good
off the vine.

Speaker 4 (15:04):
You know what else is worth it? Jerry, avocado trees.

Speaker 2 (15:07):
Don't talk to me about avocado trees. Avocado's still dealing
with the loss of my avocado tree. Don't bring it
up with Tulsi's for sure, she's still fuming. She would
never forgive that digger driver who took out our avocato.

Speaker 3 (15:23):
Any retribution for that. This should be there should be.

Speaker 2 (15:26):
Well I stopped. I mean I didn't want to. I
didn't want to. He knew he had done wrong, and
I didn't want to. You know what was I going
to do? You'll be by man. You ever avocados a
new avocado tree, like a new thirty forty year old
avocado tree, like you can't buy one of those?

Speaker 3 (15:42):
Well, should have thought about that. You could at least
leave them.

Speaker 2 (15:46):
Off on the radio. I think I've done that multiple times,
but not obviously. No, I can't remember who it actually was.
I think he was really stoned. He must have been,
because it was he knocked over a couple of He
also took out the person on tree. He took out
a couple of really really good important persons. Yeah, Tolsey
loves person's personmins At best, they taste like nothing. Yeah,

(16:11):
the subtle is the word that you use, subtle nothing.

Speaker 5 (16:15):
Then they tasted it, did They taste of it like watermelons,
And that's why I don't like them.

Speaker 2 (16:18):
It's a bit water melonie. And I think that's why
it's quite good. Do you like just normal melon like
rock melon?

Speaker 4 (16:24):
Hate it? Want to like it? Cannot like if you
ever had it, like.

Speaker 2 (16:27):
Worth ham yeap ham yeah, ham melon and then you
go like shaved ham Jesus yum. Mean, it's kind of sot.
It's a salty bit tow extravagant. Yeah, fruit and fruit
and cured meat shitty two dogs, cured meat. Yeah, six

(16:50):
o'clock timed to Rock Jerri and Mania.

Speaker 1 (16:52):
They had the radio show from six to ten weekdays,
