The Hydache Breakfast thanks to Bunnings Trade build Big Rewards
with new power Pass Pro Rewards by Bunnings.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
And now live from Bunnings Glenfield in Auckland. It's the
Hurdache Breakfast with Jerry min I thanks to Bunning's Tree
filled the Big Rewards with new power Pass Pro awards.
Speaker 1 (00:17):
Yes, good morning and welcome along to the Hurdache for breakfast.
It's Friday, the fourteenth of August twenty twenty six. We
are live at Bunnings Trade, Glenfield on the corner of
White Eye Road and Archers Road, white Oak Valley.
Speaker 3 (00:29):
Nice to have you with us this morning, Gidame and I.
Speaker 4 (00:32):
Good morning Jerry. How live are we?
Speaker 5 (00:33):
Well, they've just started up the little street sweeping machine
that we've been sitting here looking at it for about
half an hour going jeez, I'd love a hone on that.
And as soon as we start the show they fire
it up. It's that little It's got two wheels on
the back and then the front's got the rotating bristles
to sweep the aisles.
Speaker 4 (00:49):
It is. It is one of the best. It's a
kid I've ever seen. I want to have a hon
on that.
Speaker 3 (00:52):
Yeah, I'd love to have a hon on that before
the show's over.
Speaker 5 (00:55):
I also just had a moment that felt like watching
the All Blacks kid up for a test match, where
I watched a couple of the members of staff here
don the famous, the world famous green Bunnings apron. It
was like watching a night suit up for battle. It
was like watching the warriors to the Hugger.
Speaker 4 (01:12):
It was.
Speaker 5 (01:14):
It was a spiritual experience. And to be able to
be here and see it, this is why we do this.
Speaker 1 (01:18):
Well, the thing is, the stock doesn't just get on
the shelves here at bunny but itself. No, that's what
I've just realized in the last ten minutes. I just
assumed whenever I booked into a Bunnies as much as there,
it just grows here. It just lives here. It just
it starts here. It's an organic thing. Whereas I just realized, man.
Speaker 6 (01:33):
There's a lot of stuff that you need to stock
in terms of the shelves of a Bunnings.
Speaker 4 (01:37):
No, it's taking me back. It's taking me back.
Speaker 1 (01:39):
And I'm having like a man over here doing a
load and go on a van, so the vans will
have to come past us. Truckses are going to have
to come past us on the way out after they've
grabbed their lumber or grabbed their supplies.
Speaker 3 (01:50):
We'll give them the okay.
Speaker 1 (01:52):
And make sure that they pay for everything, and then
away they go.
Speaker 5 (01:55):
I'm going to check this strops, make sure that that's
a safer load before they hit the hit the motorway.
I believe we're in g Lan's neighborhood. I believe he's
going to join us. Live in the flesh and if
you want to do as well, we've got some free
bricky is going on. I've just heard the barbecue fire up.
There's a couple of loaves of white dead sitting on
the table there as well. So come down and Saturday
We've got winning wheels.
Speaker 4 (02:14):
We've got all sorts. It's your classic old school radio promo.
Speaker 7 (02:17):
Jerry and Mni the hod Akee Breakfast.
Speaker 1 (02:20):
Versus the hard Ache Breakfast live from Bunnings Trade, Glenfield
on the corner of wide O Road and Archers Road,
Wide Over Valley. Come on down by the way and
you can grab yourself for free trading bricks. I just
see my night. Yes, I'm just having to look out
here now and the barbecue is being cranked up as
we speak.
Speaker 5 (02:39):
The smell is actually gonna drive me crazy sitting here
because we're sitting by the door of the it's actually
the exit of the Bunnings trade here at Glenfield, and
that's where they've set it up, and so the wind
is wafting the smell.
Speaker 4 (02:51):
Of lightly grilled sausages past my nose.
Speaker 5 (02:55):
I'm going to float over there like people a pew
in the cartoons, just a quick point of I know
we want to do the rounds here. But Isaac, if
you've got a second, my microphone, just as I'm talking
to it, it's slowly drooping like that.
Speaker 4 (03:08):
Could you shoot down to Aisle.
Speaker 5 (03:09):
Seven, I think, and grab me a little flat head
screwdriver and I'll just tighten that thing back up again.
Speaker 1 (03:14):
Oh, this is the exact place you need to be
if you've got a drooping microphone. Our hand is that wow,
And it is doing a slow droop.
Speaker 5 (03:20):
Isn't it. Just as I start talking it just dripps
away from my mouth. So yeah, but I don't know.
In fact, that.
Speaker 4 (03:26):
Guy with the apron I reckon, he'll know exactly what
what aile that's going to be.
Speaker 1 (03:30):
You know what and from our broadcast position here and
we are right by a giant roller door.
Speaker 4 (03:35):
Well you can hear you can hear reversing forklifts in
the background.
Speaker 3 (03:39):
Yeah, we're right in amongst the action.
Speaker 1 (03:41):
If we were anywhere else around the country in August,
you'd say you'd have to be puffer jacketing up in
this situation. I mean, we're sitting here. I've just got
myself a Bunning's flannel shirt on.
Speaker 4 (03:52):
I'm in a Bunning's rugbyes.
Speaker 1 (03:53):
Yeah that's right, And I'm thinking to myself, how mild, Yeah,
how mild, and sure enough doing the rounds.
Speaker 6 (04:01):
Currently thirteen degrees outside. I mean that at six o'clock
in the morning. Thirteen degrees in August. Yeah, crazy stuff.
Speaker 4 (04:07):
And as you look down this is a real treat.
Speaker 5 (04:11):
For the first time ever, I'm able to see Jerry's
weather apps. I see timms three coldest. That's the low
in the country.
Speaker 1 (04:19):
Yeah, that's right, that's the coldest place so far. Oh well,
you've got Queenstown, Tata to Queenstown.
Speaker 3 (04:24):
She's one.
Speaker 4 (04:25):
That's I don't really consider that in New Zealand town.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
No, that's true. That's international.
Speaker 4 (04:30):
It's international. It's like an airport.
Speaker 1 (04:31):
Yeah, you don't have to pay tax your kit tires.
Needin theory, which is that ka tire is always the
same temperatuist need and at six o'clock in the morning
way off doesn't hold true today because you've got seven
in Dunedin, which is still reasonably mildless time.
Speaker 5 (04:47):
Yeah, and then kay tier twelve thick layer of cloud
over Kay. I see there though, So I mean that
could be insulating it against Dunners. But as I look
at the mat now I can see why they're on
the same long teed.
Speaker 3 (04:58):
Is that what I do?
Speaker 1 (04:58):
Reckon?
Speaker 4 (04:59):
That's what it is. It's a long a journal based selection,
is what it is. Think it is.
Speaker 3 (05:04):
But yeah, my little across the country.
Speaker 1 (05:06):
Actually, I suppose there's a little bit of a little
bit of rain that's come through.
Speaker 3 (05:11):
Actually there's some cold air ruder.
Speaker 1 (05:14):
You may have seen this on the news last night
with Dan got there's some cold air coming through and
the next week in I think it's going to be
really really cold.
Speaker 3 (05:21):
She's going to get right down below zero again.
Speaker 6 (05:23):
But there's something we're going on because we had eighteen
degrees yesterday.
Speaker 1 (05:28):
Oh my god, yeah, eighteen. I think it was an
that was a right was it in Auckland?
Speaker 4 (05:33):
I felt like it was on the tea box of
the six that HOOPI to me that was pretty balmy. Yeah,
and then absolutely dumped down. Yeah, absolutely dumped down. I
was too far away from the clubhouse. I got absolutely drenched.
I had to stay in the clubhouse for about six
bears to dry off. Did you I just was waiting
it out, did you? How was a slice by the way? Yep?
(05:53):
Still that was there.
Speaker 5 (05:54):
Look, what I've learned about golf is you've got a
dancer that he came with, you know, and if you've
come with a massive slice, then that's just that's just
your lot.
Speaker 4 (06:04):
Tee up to the far.
Speaker 5 (06:05):
Right of the box, aim for the furthest left tree
you can see, and they just pray it ends up
somewhere in the fairway.
Speaker 1 (06:10):
Yes, sadly that theory of yours about dancing who you
came with? I was chunking a lot, so essentially I
was just chunky. I was just dancing with a chunker.
Speaker 4 (06:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
Basically, well would you rather dance? Do you want to
dance with the chunker or do you want to have
it flush?
Speaker 3 (06:27):
Oh?
Speaker 5 (06:27):
This is Jerry, that's how you brought you just gotta
done that you came with. That's just how she goes
mate a couple of higher rental vans leaving a bootload
of timber Jerry.
Speaker 7 (06:39):
And Midnight the hold Ikey Breakfast.
Speaker 1 (06:42):
So we arelive at Bunning's Trade at Glenfield and a
couple of people have come down already, which is great.
Speaker 3 (06:47):
You can come down.
Speaker 1 (06:48):
We've got a bit of food on the go, although
I would say yes just at the moment. There were
started by cooking up the onions and at the moment
if you want to come down to Bunnings Gleenfield, then
you can have some onions and you can put those
onions inside of a piece of white dead well.
Speaker 4 (07:07):
But I don't know that it's buttered yet.
Speaker 5 (07:08):
What we're saying is someone's a couple of guys who
have just popped down now bit early. One of them
I've just watched eat what's the equivalent of an entire
onion for breakfast, which is a hell of a way
to start your Friday.
Speaker 4 (07:21):
But yeah, now I feel free to come down. We've
got the winning wheel.
Speaker 5 (07:24):
There's all sorts of stuff to win, all thanks to
Bunnings and their power Pass Pro awards.
Speaker 3 (07:28):
You want to come down and grab yourself some onions.
Speaker 5 (07:31):
You can drink half a bottle of tomato sauce if
you want to get your eat, an entire sheet.
Speaker 4 (07:35):
Of jip rocket if you need to, It's up to you.
Speaker 5 (07:39):
For everyone out there who was worrying, who couldn't get
on with their Friday morning until they found out whether
I got a screwdriver or not, rest easy I have.
Speaker 4 (07:47):
I've got a screwdriver sort of Maui microphone.
Speaker 3 (07:51):
You are in the right place for a droopy mic.
Speaker 4 (07:53):
Oh you Never before.
Speaker 1 (07:55):
Has a droopy mic been fixed quicker than doing a
live at Bunnings Live to Wear.
Speaker 5 (08:00):
Because now that I've seen that I can get I
have access to literally any tool I could possibly imagine,
and a lot of tools I couldn't imagine.
Speaker 4 (08:07):
It's opened my mind to a world of possibilities. I
could build us an entire new studio here throughout the
course of the show yeat.
Speaker 1 (08:13):
Only God, I'm just looking over there. There's some job.
You've got some lumber, Yeah, you can put it together.
You've got nails, you've got hammers, you've got the whole work.
Speaker 4 (08:19):
Yeah, we've got framing, timber, structural, timber and decking an
aisle too, just over there.
Speaker 1 (08:23):
If you could build us a new studio here in
the next three hours while we're here, that would be fantastic.
Speaker 4 (08:28):
Just about kid wouldn't be much? Was that? Also, we've
just had a little coffee delivered?
Speaker 5 (08:32):
Oh God, are you one of these people like me
that just and this is gonna sound like I'm doing
this just because we're here, But who goes down to
Bunnings and just meanders the aisles of a weekend?
Speaker 1 (08:41):
I like the smell of the Bunnings.
Speaker 3 (08:43):
I've always loved the smell. I think it's the lumber.
Speaker 1 (08:45):
Yeah, I think the fact that the smell of lumber
permeates through the rest of the store. And what I
saw this morning with that little sweeper thing that we
were talking about earlier, All of a sudden, I've had
a look down at the concrete floor, and I've never
appreciated just how clean the concrete floor at a Bunnings is.
Speaker 4 (09:03):
I can see what's going to happen here.
Speaker 5 (09:04):
So just yesterday we were talking about Shirley, which is
your two meter wide mop that you used to mop
your basketball court sized kitchen mop, dry mop. I can
see you now getting one of those buffing machines to
drive around your kitchen and lounge.
Speaker 1 (09:19):
I would love one of those.
Speaker 3 (09:20):
Kids.
Speaker 1 (09:21):
Tell us you if you're listening, if I can have
one of those for the Father's Day or maybe my Birthday,
Christmas combined present. That's going to cost a lot, to
be honest, I'll be paying for it anyways, So that
would be fantastic.
Speaker 3 (09:32):
I'd love one of those. I ride on indoor cleaner.
Speaker 4 (09:35):
Yeah, right, add that to the Christmas wishlers.
Speaker 5 (09:37):
Did you say yesterday they were talking about potentially bringing
the NRL Grand Final to New Zealand.
Speaker 3 (09:43):
Isn't that something to do with the fact that the
Pope is.
Speaker 1 (09:45):
Visiting Sydney during the twenty twenty eighth NURL Grand Final time.
Speaker 5 (09:49):
And look, I know, Catholicism big in Sydney obviously, NRL
probably bigot, you know. And I haven't seen It's not
like like this is the NRL Grand Final. They said
they have stadiums there. I think it's called a core
at the moment, the Olympic Stadium that can seat one
hundred thousand people, that's just there for NRL games, you
know what I mean.
Speaker 4 (10:09):
And state of origin, it's not.
Speaker 5 (10:11):
Like they've got the local bishops playing every week at
these stadiums, then the Pope's going to come in for.
Speaker 4 (10:16):
The Grand Final. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (10:17):
Well, Chris Mins, who's the Premiere of New South Wales,
He's like, we can do both.
Speaker 3 (10:23):
We are Sydney, we can.
Speaker 4 (10:25):
Have a pope who's one guy.
Speaker 1 (10:27):
Yep, and a Grand Final. In fact, that's going to
be called the Super Weekend, so you can get a
bit of religion anything.
Speaker 3 (10:34):
It's in RL and ye at the same time.
Speaker 4 (10:36):
I think Holy Round gathering in the Holy Round.
Speaker 3 (10:40):
Peter Blandez, who's got one of the greatest names of all.
Speaker 4 (10:43):
Time, also the Pope of rugby league.
Speaker 1 (10:45):
Yeah, and he was the guy that said during COVID
that Australia is in Australia without rugby league.
Speaker 4 (10:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (10:51):
He was saying that you can move the Grand Final
back a week actually keep it in Sydney as well.
Speaker 4 (10:57):
Yeah, fair enough.
Speaker 3 (10:57):
Made me move the whole competition back a week.
Speaker 4 (11:00):
I would say, though there's rumors that you know, we've
thrown our hat in the ring. Eden Park wants to
host it.
Speaker 5 (11:05):
I think we're a little ways off that because that
stadium where they have the Grand Final, where they're having
it this year that can hold like one hundred thousand people,
and Eden Park's fifty is probably not quite going to
get it done. I can see why that, you know,
you're not.
Speaker 4 (11:18):
Doing your job as a as a mayor or a
CEO of a stadium, but not to not throw your
hat in the ring.
Speaker 1 (11:23):
Yep.
Speaker 4 (11:24):
But I just don't know if we've got the capacity
for it.
Speaker 1 (11:26):
Oh no, we've got the we've got the CRL. Now
I've got that tunnel that goes to nowhere. That's a
good I mean, I don't forget about that.
Speaker 4 (11:32):
That's a good point. I can go from Britomart to
to nowhere, to nowhere to nowhere to k Road.
Speaker 7 (11:40):
Jerry and the Night the Hoadarchy Breakfast.
Speaker 1 (11:48):
Six thirty three on the Hidachy Breakfast Time if you
later a sport headlines export Ultra to Beer for here.
The Roosters have moved to the top of the NRL
Ladder for the first time and five years they've leaped
frog the pan There's with a twelve six win to
start round twenty four. Thirty seven year old Daily cheer
At Evans scored two tries, the second of them coming
(12:08):
in the seventy sixth minute, Sydney are our favorites to
secure the minor premiership with three games left.
Speaker 5 (12:15):
Yeah, this is good for us, I think, or do
we want the Panthers to win that?
Speaker 4 (12:20):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (12:20):
I think it's gonna make it tough for the Warriors
to finish top two.
Speaker 4 (12:26):
But it does mean all of a sudden the Panthers.
Speaker 5 (12:28):
It's like the Monstars of taking their talent and all
of a sudden they know good. In another expert Altra headline,
the bacon and eggs are done here down here at
Bunnings Glenfield.
Speaker 4 (12:40):
We just tucked them to a bacon an egro. My god,
that was good.
Speaker 1 (12:42):
It was a beautiful bacon and egg bap and a
lovely chibbata bun I've got to say. With some scrambled
eggs and deliciously cooked bacon, Bunnings Lambfield, grab yourself one
of those cheapest creepers now. Coach Dave Rennie admits he
had to gather his four first five options together, especially
(13:05):
incumbent test number ten Ruben Love, to explain why Richie
Muwanga was called into the South African tour.
Speaker 3 (13:12):
Gather ye first fives.
Speaker 1 (13:14):
Gather ye Meanwhile, Round three of the NBC's kicked off
with top of the table North Harbor trouncing hosts Wellington
forty seven to seven, outscoring them seven tries to one.
Speaker 5 (13:25):
I will say about you know, I've seen a lot
of stuff on sosh Medow overnight. First of all, called it,
told is all he'd be getting called in there as
soon as there was an injury. I'm not saying Billy
Procter's broken shoulder blades made up and that was just
a way to get him into the camp.
Speaker 4 (13:40):
But do your own research.
Speaker 5 (13:41):
I think I don't think it's that's Ruben Love's jersey. Now,
I think we could probably all agree on that.
Speaker 4 (13:49):
Do you feel that way?
Speaker 1 (13:50):
It's has to lose minight, But you never own an
all black jersey.
Speaker 5 (13:53):
That's right, That's what I've always said. It's rented Jerry
and rents jew every day. But I would but I
don't think any of them once a week, depending depending
on whatever your arrangement is.
Speaker 4 (14:06):
But yeah, I don't think they should be. I don't
think it's like, oh, what you're just gonna bid me?
Unless imagine if he started in that first test, how
would you feel if your Ruben Love.
Speaker 1 (14:17):
Wow would be There's no way. Ruben Love will definitely
take the ten jersey. He deserves it.
Speaker 3 (14:22):
But good to have a guy like that with a
bit of experience on a tour.
Speaker 2 (14:25):
Good Problems, Jerry Andman Night, The Hierarchy Breakfast.
Speaker 1 (14:30):
There's The Hierarchy Breakfast live from Bunnings, Glenfield. Come on
down here if you're swinging through the wide oak valley
and grab yourself a delicious bacon and egg bap. I've
had one, and I's had one.
Speaker 5 (14:41):
And I've just watched five of the dustiest operators I've
seen in quite some time walk through the door, all
holding the ears in tinfoil. So if you can only
swing through briefly, will ten foil those? Oh he's six
dusty operators.
Speaker 4 (14:55):
Swinging through. Will biff those in a bit of tinfoil
for you and get you on your merryway.
Speaker 1 (14:58):
Hey, did you see this thing in the UK? Count
benface versus Nigel Farage. Nigel Farage you may have seen
him on social media. He's the leader of the Reform
UK Party. It's kind of like New Zealand first, okay,
but in UK. Good good reference point. Now they was
he like the face of Brexit.
Speaker 4 (15:17):
Here's the Brexit guy, right, He was, yeah, okay, and
so he let me try and put this together as
best as I understand it, and I can't read. He
was accused of accepting like backhanders cash for comment, like
when you keep going on about cyclones and then they
send us a bunch of cyclones.
Speaker 5 (15:34):
Let's not talk about that, but yes, that kind of
thing and sort of thing. And they were like, you
can't do that. We're going to sack you. And he goes,
you can't sack me. I quit and I'm holding a
by election in the electorate that he already represented, that's right,
which seems like a very confusing move if you'd already
voted the guy in and he's like, I'm asking you
to vote for me again.
Speaker 1 (15:53):
It's annoying a lot of people because it's costing quite
a lot of money.
Speaker 3 (15:57):
And so he didn't declear five million.
Speaker 1 (16:00):
Pounds right, basically from a this was a donation from
this crypto bro. And he was and then he said, well,
what are you going to do with the five million
pounds in and he said, oh, look, I might use
it for security.
Speaker 3 (16:12):
I might use it.
Speaker 1 (16:13):
He basically security. He danced around the whole thing, but
he didn't, he didn't declare it, put it that way
and quit, and.
Speaker 4 (16:20):
Everyone's gonna have to vote for me again.
Speaker 5 (16:22):
And so then, because I think what he was trying
to do was pull the wall and create such a
hype around this new election by election that everyone forgot
that he'd accepted all that money.
Speaker 4 (16:31):
I think that's what he's trying to do.
Speaker 5 (16:32):
But meanwhile, he's been he's had the rug pulled out
from under him because nobody's running in the election against them,
so it's just making it look ridiculous. Nobody except for
count Benface. Go and look him up on your social
media of choice. But he is hilarious. It's a it's
an elaborate costume.
Speaker 1 (16:50):
Yeah, it's a man dressed basically as a rubbish BN.
Speaker 5 (16:53):
I like to consider him to be an intergalactic crime
fighter who we see as resembling a rubbishman, but he's
actually just an alien from Sigma nine.
Speaker 1 (17:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (17:03):
So Clacton is the is the.
Speaker 4 (17:06):
Electric Clacton on sea? Very American, isn't it? The whole
thing sounds made up?
Speaker 5 (17:11):
And overnight, the overnight our time, the polls have opened,
so people are now voting when it initially started, it
was like, oh, yeah, Binfa is probably not you know,
he won't be.
Speaker 4 (17:20):
On the race by the time the poles open. Well
they have opened.
Speaker 5 (17:23):
Not only is he in the race, but he's a
genuine sniff there to take this thing out. And what
happens if Count Binface is elected?
Speaker 1 (17:30):
You know, well there's eighty thousand people apparently registered to
vote in Clacton, which is you know the size of Dunedin. Yes, yeah, yeah,
So poles close at nine am, New Zealand time counting
is going to start, so we won't be able to
tell you who wins Clacton and whether or not n
Idel Farage will retain his seat.
Speaker 5 (17:46):
But you'll know by like ten o'clock this morning. You
would think it depends how long it takes him to
count that. I'll tell you what if Count bin Face
ran and done, is they probably voted men?
Speaker 3 (17:54):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (17:55):
At the moment, I think people are so disillusioned with
politics around the world. YEA, posibly that would have open.
It's ridiculous. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (18:02):
Should we put together our own bin face, our own
bin face costume down here at Bunny you.
Speaker 1 (18:07):
Know this is the place to do it. And can
I just say that I now know why there is
nothing like a crown for picking things up and putting
things down, Because a crown just came by a little
little crown.
Speaker 4 (18:19):
Little palette hoist, it's a pallet jack.
Speaker 1 (18:21):
Yeah, and that thing picked something up and put it down,
and I was like, wow, I've never seen something picked
something up and put it down like that before.
Speaker 4 (18:28):
Well, there's nothing like it.
Speaker 7 (18:29):
Showing up with Cherry in the night.
Speaker 1 (18:31):
It's academic three hundred dollar Bunnings bout you up for
grabs this morning.
Speaker 3 (18:36):
How difficult will Ruder's questions be?
Speaker 5 (18:38):
Yeah, well it's going to come down to how grateful
as kids were for the dinner he made last night.
Speaker 4 (18:42):
You'll take that out on you the listener. After seven o'clock,
also Die.
Speaker 1 (18:46):
Henwood joins us to talk about the Warriors versus Brisbane.
Speaker 3 (18:50):
And after seven o'clock.
Speaker 5 (18:51):
We've had to move it forward because acc here g Lane,
who just lets around the corner from Bunning's Glenfield, is
going to pop down at about eight ten to talk
a bit of sport, So we've had to move Friday
Top five four to seven.
Speaker 1 (19:01):
I'm looking forward to doing this one because this morning
on the Friday Top five we have the Gingers of
great MANA.
Speaker 4 (19:09):
One immediately springs to mind, but I'll leave that for
after seven.
Speaker 3 (19:13):
This is the Hardache Breakfast.
Speaker 4 (19:14):
The showers and a bit of frost.
Speaker 7 (19:16):
Well, they're sort of come burgers, you know what I mean.
Jerry and Mini the Hodachy Breakfast.
Speaker 2 (19:22):
And now live from Bunnings Glenfield in Auckland. It's the
Hodache Breakfast with Jerry Minia thanks to Bunnings Tree.
Speaker 7 (19:30):
Rewards with new Power Past Prayer Awards.
Speaker 1 (19:33):
Yeah, nice to have you with us this morning, Friday,
the fourteenth of August twenty twenty six. We are live
at Bunnings Tray, Glenfield on the corner of wide O
Road and Archers Road in the White Oak Valley.
Speaker 3 (19:45):
You can come on down.
Speaker 1 (19:46):
Here and grab yourself some breakfast to losh us baking
and egg babs.
Speaker 4 (19:52):
I'm just done. I'm just eating a Somebody's brought down
a box of roses and they just shared a couple
of roses with us. Nice. I think I've got the
Turkish to light there. It's really stuck stuck in my crawl,
not right for broadcasting. Something I wanted to bring up
because it is actually popping off down here at Bunning's
Trade Glenfield, Jerry something that you've just borne witnessed to,
(20:14):
I think maybe for the first time, and that is
building site cheek. Jerry remarked on the sheer amount of crocs.
We weren't expecting it.
Speaker 1 (20:26):
I really wasn't expecting the crocks for socks. I know
there's a few burks for socks as well. What I'm
assuming is that some of these guys are going to
take off the crocs and take off the burks and
put on some work books at some point.
Speaker 5 (20:39):
Yes, I think there's a lot of them that have
been told, hey, stop leaving those hideous boots at our door.
Speaker 4 (20:45):
You're tracking mud up and down the thing. You leave
those either at work or you leave those in the van.
Speaker 1 (20:50):
There's one guy over here who I've been watching quite closely.
He's had three baps and I think he's trying to
soak up a bit of the booze from last night.
Speaker 4 (20:59):
There's a bit of that going on.
Speaker 1 (21:00):
He stumbled his way back and forward over to the
barbecue and he's swaying. I'm not sure whether he should
be on a building site today, to be honest, I'm
not sure. I was looking his plate.
Speaker 4 (21:12):
Oh I thought he was about to eat it. I no,
Look he'll he's a money dog.
Speaker 1 (21:18):
I can say that.
Speaker 4 (21:19):
Look, oh he'll go eight hours mate, he'll still be
the last.
Speaker 5 (21:21):
One standing in the pouring rain. And also, if anything,
those three bacon and egg baps would really have sort
of if you are a train to come down to
Bunnings Glenfield.
Speaker 4 (21:29):
Here we've got the winning wheel. There's a bunch of
power pass pro rewards to be won down here. And
if you're not come down and get yourself a free
brickie anyway.
Speaker 1 (21:36):
Yes, delicious. The baps are absolutely fantastic. The smell of
bacon wafting through the Bunnings this morning.
Speaker 4 (21:42):
The brown action as well.
Speaker 1 (21:43):
Yeah. Up next we're going to do the top five,
the Friday Top five Today, Top five Gingers of Manna.
Speaker 5 (21:53):
Like I said, there's a couple that pop out straight away.
I've got a left field suggestion that I'd like to
give to you up next year. Then you off guard,
but I think you'll agree.
Speaker 1 (22:01):
Yeah, here's one here, Josh Hommie, Queens of the Stone
Ache You Breakfast.
Speaker 4 (22:06):
Jeremie Wells and the Nice do it the Hodarchy Breakfast.
It's the Glenda.
Speaker 1 (22:15):
Something we do on Fridays we count down the top
five things. You can vote on three four eight three
and find out what the Friday Top five is today.
In the past we've done the top five cracks, the
top five Sharks, biscuits, Racist, the top five Ians.
Speaker 5 (22:28):
Yeah, very rescue when we did the top five races,
but we landed it and I trust you again on
three four eight three to get your votes. And this
week it is Gingers of Great Mona. This is something
that came to me and a friend of mine, oh,
probably about a week ago. We're discussing some of the
gingers of Great Mona. And there's one that I know
has already come through a million times on the text machine.
It's the one that pops through as soon as you
(22:50):
think of gingers and Great Mona, and that is the
great multi all black Pulsito. They don't come much higher
in Manna than Portito, so I know that he's come
through a lot. Can I throw one out of left
field for you and let me know where you stand
on this, because I'm not entirely convinced.
Speaker 4 (23:07):
Will you accept as a ginger of Great Mona? Garfield?
Speaker 3 (23:12):
Garfield, Yes, Garfield?
Speaker 5 (23:14):
The cat Garfield, the cat, lover of Lasagna, hater of
Mondays owned by John Yes, John j h.
Speaker 3 (23:21):
Because why would you Who's who was Odi? Was Odi?
Speaker 5 (23:24):
His is the dog mate, the Odie was the dog mate. Yeah,
just weirdiest. Then do you think he's a Do you
think he's a ginger of great.
Speaker 1 (23:32):
Mona or no? No, I wouldn't say that a cat
can have mona?
Speaker 4 (23:36):
I mean really, what about horse from foot Rock Flats?
Speaker 7 (23:39):
No?
Speaker 3 (23:39):
No manna, no mana, no manna?
Speaker 4 (23:41):
What about that ginger? Do it over there?
Speaker 1 (23:43):
I think the thing with where the cat is that
it would would kill anything, and I think I think
manash great mana shows restraint.
Speaker 5 (23:50):
Well, what if it's eating a lot of native birds
with great mona and then assumed their money?
Speaker 1 (23:54):
Okay, well there is a little bit that that's a
cultural issue that we could probably get into a little
bit later on, but probably not in the middle of
a radio break. I'm looking and thinking in terms of internationally.
Speaker 6 (24:06):
You'd have ginger spice Jerry Hallwell, in terms of the
Spice girls, she probably had the most.
Speaker 1 (24:11):
Manah of this all the spice girls.
Speaker 4 (24:15):
I don't mind sporty, sporty, sporty. I think Sporty's got
a sporty. There's a woman of high standing.
Speaker 7 (24:21):
She thinks she had mona.
Speaker 3 (24:22):
Posha has no manner.
Speaker 4 (24:24):
Pasha has no moner.
Speaker 5 (24:24):
But when I when I look at them, and how
I decided a woman of great mana is whether I
would feel nervous asking them if they trim their downstairs
or not?
Speaker 4 (24:33):
Because that seems to be the criteria.
Speaker 1 (24:35):
Yeah, well, of course, Nan, i'ma hurt a woman of
great mana about that. And Matt Heath blurted out that
do you trim your downstairs question to her, and you
could tell by the way he blurted it out that
he was absolutely terrified.
Speaker 5 (24:48):
Yeah, exactly, And that's sort of my benchmark is, as
would you be terrified to ask that question?
Speaker 4 (24:52):
ID.
Speaker 5 (24:52):
Sharon has come through on three four eight three. I
think that's a great, great vote Sharon. I think it's
Sharon's a ginger of great mana.
Speaker 1 (25:01):
Okay, some people say that he is a stealer of
great other people's mana. I looked at terms of songs
that was put down in a court of Lord j
Area playediarizer.
Speaker 5 (25:13):
I don't think we can I don't think you can
claim that Josh Homy speaking of musicians, I mean that
just played before, and I was like, that was stearing
me right in the face.
Speaker 4 (25:20):
How did I miss Ginger? Elvis himself Josh Hommy.
Speaker 1 (25:23):
Years ago, I went over to Australia and I interviewed
a woman of great Mana and she was doing a
film at the time called Moulin Rouge, not a film
of great Mana at all, in fact, a terrible film
bears Lehrman film. But I went across interviewed Nicole Kidman.
Speaker 3 (25:42):
And would we say that? She said, yeah, she's definitely
a Ginger.
Speaker 1 (25:46):
And I got to say when I walked into the room,
there's some people that you meet and they just have
this thing aura.
Speaker 3 (25:53):
I walked into the room and Nicole Kidman looked at me.
Speaker 1 (25:57):
She was sitting there ready to be interviewed, and she
looked at me, and I immediately forgot who I was,
where I was, what I was doing. I forgot all
the questions I was about to ask her. But I
was fine with it because I was in her game,
in her presence. Yeah, it was quite something. And then
she smiled at me and made me immediately feel good,
(26:18):
and I was like, Wow, some people have something I
don't even know if it's money. It's actually something otherworldly.
It's a whi of some kind, but it is a
whoto of some God.
Speaker 4 (26:29):
All Right, we'll chuck her into contentions and other ones
that have come through.
Speaker 5 (26:35):
Prince Harry Ginger Spice like Jerry holliwell discussed that ginger
nut biscuits. I mean, the number one biscuit in the
top five biscuits last week. That's got to instill some
sort of money in it.
Speaker 1 (26:46):
A lot of money. In fact, I just saw some
Can I just say, I just saw some ginger slices?
You're going to say? Down here at Bunning's whido ride
there is it's quite a scene. Yes, there's a there's
a real vibe going on down here.
Speaker 5 (26:57):
And to that end, can I ask you that it
over there, who's three bacon and egg baps, staring at
his phone, who locked his plate, who.
Speaker 4 (27:05):
Looked his plate, looked like he was about to eat
the plate? Would you consider him to be a Ginger
of great money?
Speaker 1 (27:10):
I'd say, looking the way that he ate those baps,
and also the way that he's involved in that conversation
over there.
Speaker 4 (27:16):
He's not involved in that conversation.
Speaker 1 (27:20):
A word to him.
Speaker 4 (27:21):
Rader Brielling, Chucky from Rutgrats, Screams Mana, Ron Weasley, Jessica Jest,
Dame Carrots of Hailey Williams. Give us a text three
four h three gingers of great money.
Speaker 5 (27:31):
I'm going to write them down on Bunning's receipt that
I have in front of me here and collect them up.
Speaker 7 (27:37):
Next Jerry and the Night They Breakfast.
Speaker 3 (27:42):
Live from Bunnings Trade.
Speaker 1 (27:43):
Glenn Field, come on down if you want to grab
yourself a trade his breakfast. There's some delicious bacon and
the egg baps going on. I've seen one person come
down and hank back about five.
Speaker 4 (27:54):
Yes, there's also some some slices being passed around. I
had a caramel slice at what was it seven nineteen
in the morning.
Speaker 1 (28:01):
Yeah, and one of them was, interestingly a ginger slice,
which gets me to this. It's the thing, and today
we're looking for the top five gingers of great Manna.
Speaker 5 (28:14):
Some obvious ones that have been coming through. Paul Tito,
the hidachy hive mind is activated. There's been a million texts.
Speaker 1 (28:20):
For Paul Tito and Netley Locke that played in the
early two thousands, didn't he played for the hurricanes.
Speaker 4 (28:26):
Yes, I p for Taranaki as well an aerial threat yep.
Speaker 1 (28:30):
And if you got on the wrong side of a ruck,
he'd probably give you a punch to the head.
Speaker 4 (28:35):
Yep.
Speaker 5 (28:36):
He has come through. He might be the prohibited favorite
at this stage, but it's up to you. Give us
a text three four eight three. The singer from simply
read mckhucknell mc hacknell.
Speaker 1 (28:45):
Money's too tight to mention stars, of course, simply read
massive hits. Still pipes, I've described mc hacknell's pipes, yep.
Speaker 4 (28:54):
And isn't there a new black cat that looks.
Speaker 1 (28:56):
Like him either? There is, actually there's a there's a
new black cap that looks exactly like him. A little
man with big pipes is the wather i've described mcaknall.
And it didn't have a ruby in his tooth.
Speaker 4 (29:07):
I don't I don't know.
Speaker 3 (29:08):
I'm pretty sure he had a.
Speaker 1 (29:09):
Ruby in a tooth because he tong them. And apparently
he's slayed a real pantsman.
Speaker 5 (29:15):
Yeah right, it's a generational stick man. Rupert Grant has
gone through in three four eight three. That is the
actor behind Ron Weasley, And I would say I don't
know Rupert, but you know I know Ron pretty well.
Speaker 4 (29:26):
Not great Mona. I think famously that's that was sort
of his whole thing. No, didn't have great money, but
I think.
Speaker 1 (29:32):
As a person he's a real party time, isn't he.
Speaker 4 (29:34):
I think I think he might be.
Speaker 1 (29:36):
I think he's a good time Isla Fisher. There's about
seven or eight people that have said Isler Fisher formerly
from Home and away married to Sasha Baron Cohen for
a long time.
Speaker 3 (29:45):
That's right, of course, Yeah, great mana is this Texter?
Speaker 4 (29:49):
How about Conan O'Brien.
Speaker 5 (29:51):
I mean, he famously was part of that world record
breaking hucker Eden Park and I would you'd have to
say that any ginger that throws himself head first to
a huka, particularly when they're not from New Zealand, that's
high manner.
Speaker 1 (30:03):
He has some good media gingers out there. I mean
Ron Howard, of course, who played Richie Cunningham in Happy Days,
also went on to be an Academy Award winning director
Ron Howard.
Speaker 4 (30:14):
Chuck Knos, Yeah, shark, we did stand on Chuck Norris.
Speaker 3 (30:19):
I try to avoid thinking about Chuck Norris, and.
Speaker 4 (30:22):
I mean I just might have be an age thing.
Speaker 5 (30:24):
But you know, there was the great run of Chuck
Norris memes online at one point, and I really dove
headfirst into those.
Speaker 1 (30:32):
Is it me? Or has he got two big a
gap between his nose and the top of his lip
that could be an issue.
Speaker 5 (30:37):
He was crying out for a mustache, wasn't near there
for a big portion of his life. Obviously gone too soon.
That'll pop up in Dead or Alive next Wednesday. But
we'll chuck him in. We'll see, we'll see how he goes.
He hasn't had too many birdes. How about Dave Dobbin
in terms of the musical.
Speaker 1 (30:51):
Realm in New Zealand, Dave Dobbin a man of a
great maner lovely man Dave Dobbin as well Exel Rose.
Now I think people would have said, maybe twenty years
ago Exel Rose a person of great mana but in
recent times looking more and more like a cooney cooney
pig and as lost as pipes, which doesn't surprise me
(31:12):
when you sing the way that he's been singing.
Speaker 4 (31:14):
No, that's got a shelf life, doesn't it. How's this one?
Speaker 5 (31:16):
This one's iconic for New Zealand. Oh Kerney Carrot as
far as gingers of great money yeah, well you would say.
Speaker 1 (31:23):
That it's one of the one of the great regional
the great regional monuments.
Speaker 4 (31:27):
Wounds Rhys Darby will chuck Emen for contingent. Here's one
for you. Ben Stokes is Ben Stokes, the Ginger of
Great Mona.
Speaker 3 (31:35):
I'm gonna say no, can say no.
Speaker 4 (31:38):
Okay.
Speaker 5 (31:38):
Met a big ginger dude and tomorrow who's got a
KFC tattoo because he thought it would get him free
KFC for life.
Speaker 4 (31:43):
It didn't. They gave him a fifty dollar voucher out
of pity great Many.
Speaker 1 (31:47):
That reminded me of Big Red, who is the leading
real estate agent in Rolliston. He's a man of great
maner and standing in the community. Big Red Sex foot
Sex sells a lot of property, that's for sure.
Speaker 4 (31:59):
That don't get much bigger than that Beaker from the Muppets.
Speaker 3 (32:01):
Love Beaker from the Muppets.
Speaker 1 (32:03):
Keep those coming in three four eight, three, eight hundred
Hodaki the Gingers of Great Manna on the Friday Top
five will lock those in.
Speaker 7 (32:12):
Next Jerry and mid Night the Hotarchy Breakfast.
Speaker 1 (32:17):
From Bunning's Tray Glenfield.
Speaker 3 (32:19):
It's it's the right that's right.
Speaker 1 (32:24):
Today we're looking for the top five Gingers of Great Manna.
Speaker 4 (32:28):
It's an important topic. It's something all right, look again
on this in this show.
Speaker 5 (32:32):
Whatever you think of us, I don't think anyone else
is debating the top five Gingers of Great mana while
a four hoisters reving in the background.
Speaker 4 (32:40):
You know what I mean. We're original.
Speaker 5 (32:42):
The texts have been flooding through as well a lot
of votes for people's mates. We've had a couple of
install nominations here at Bunning's Glenfield as well.
Speaker 4 (32:49):
From just a couple of gingers who happen to be
in the building. But we're gonna have to again how.
Speaker 1 (32:54):
There's the four bat. There's a full bat eating ginger
to our right. Who's he's still here? He's still here here.
Speaker 5 (33:00):
He also tucked himself into the kitchen itt here, which
I think is for the staff, but he had no dramas.
He's walking over and tucking into the to the stuff.
Speaker 1 (33:08):
That touch about an hour sleep.
Speaker 3 (33:10):
He's the guy with the hour sleep that's turned up.
Speaker 1 (33:12):
He's knocked a whole lot of apps and he's also
eaten heaps of ginger slice.
Speaker 3 (33:16):
He's turning into a ginger.
Speaker 5 (33:17):
It's got a thousand yards there going on as well. Anyway,
if you're new to this segment, what's not up to us,
It's up to you. You vote on three four eight three.
All we do is merely collect the votes. And so
I've done that.
Speaker 4 (33:28):
I've got a pen, I've written it on the back
of a blank Bunning's receipt.
Speaker 1 (33:33):
Here can I see that?
Speaker 5 (33:34):
I see that we're going old school, We're going acoustic. So,
without any further ado number five, Samantha Hayes hold.
Speaker 3 (33:42):
On for a second. News newsreader Samantha Hayes.
Speaker 4 (33:44):
Samantha Hayes with one hundred and twenty two votes.
Speaker 1 (33:49):
She's not a natural ginger.
Speaker 3 (33:50):
I'm not sure whether I'm allowing this.
Speaker 4 (33:52):
Are you accusing her of stolen valet?
Speaker 6 (33:54):
Absolutely?
Speaker 1 (33:55):
Stole bottle ginger?
Speaker 4 (33:57):
Is that out of a bottle?
Speaker 3 (33:58):
Absolutely, that's out of a bottle.
Speaker 4 (34:00):
Why would you choose I?
Speaker 3 (34:02):
It's kind of more red than jing, isn't it? Well?
Speaker 5 (34:05):
Yeah, certainly these days. I look again, we collect the votes.
It's not up for us, it's not up for us.
Speaker 1 (34:11):
But controversial. I don't know how I feel about that.
Speaker 5 (34:15):
Well, I don't know how she's gonna feel next time
she bumps into you. But anyway, that's Samantha Hayes at
number five. Number four, Ginger Elvis himself, Josh Homy. It
couldn't have been anyone else in there. And actually, I'm
actually disgusted in myself that I didn't think of that
before we get into this.
Speaker 1 (34:27):
What I can tell you about Josh Homy is he's
a big man. I'll say you be six foot five. Yeah,
And I can tell you from experience you do not
want to take Kai majuana into his backstage room and
spill kime wana juice all over his floor, okay, because
he will give you a stare like he's going to
shoot you.
Speaker 4 (34:43):
Okay. That's number four, Josh Homy.
Speaker 8 (34:45):
Number three.
Speaker 4 (34:46):
Pre fiddling with your own face Nicole Kidman.
Speaker 1 (34:51):
Yeah, there's something that's happened to Nicole Kidman in recent times.
Although I see she's had some surgery to return herself
back to her pre fiddling her face. Nicole Kidman done
a little bit of it this she ye for a
while there she's to look not like Nicole Kidman. Yeah,
just too much to work around the eyes. You've got
a bit of a change to the nose. The face
couldn't move.
Speaker 4 (35:09):
She turned you to stone. When she looked in there
either didn't she she.
Speaker 1 (35:12):
Was pre fiddling with the face When I need her,
I'll tell you what one of the most beautiful people
you'll ever see in your life.
Speaker 5 (35:18):
That's number three. Pre fiddling with your own face and
Nicole Kidman. Number two New Zealand icon the old Kerney carrots.
Speaker 4 (35:24):
I mean this thing.
Speaker 5 (35:25):
When you think of novelty statues around the country, you
think of the rakaia salmon, you think of the gored trout,
you think of the old coney carrot. Its a ginger
of great mana protector of the munga down there.
Speaker 1 (35:37):
Yeah, and as we all know, Okenney grows great carrots
in the southwestern side there of Montrouho, some.
Speaker 4 (35:44):
Of the best. That's number two, the old Coney carrot.
Speaker 8 (35:47):
Number one.
Speaker 5 (35:48):
Couldn't have been anyone else, prohibitive favorite even before we
started this the I mean when you think mana, when
you think gingers the intersection. Couldn't you know that that
part of the Venn diagram is one one man's face
and it's pull Tito Proud, multi all black Hurricane Taranaki
man there it is your top five, So met the Hayes,
Josh hommye pre fiddling with your own face, Nicole Kidman,
(36:09):
the Old Coerney Carrot and Paul Tito.
Speaker 1 (36:11):
Yeah. If there's one man you don't want to meet
at the bottom of a ruck, it's teeth.
Speaker 7 (36:14):
Oh Kerney, Carrot, Jerry and Mania for the Hodarchy breakfast.
Speaker 1 (36:19):
So the Roosters went to the top of the NRL
Ladder last night, handing Penrith a second straight loss. Now
the Warriors need to win in Brisbane as they look
to secure an all important top two spot. They will
play the Broncos, who are sitting second to last on
the table and who have lost eleven out of their
(36:40):
last twelve games, despite being loaded with stars from the
front row all the way to the back and the
tab backing the Warriors at a dollar forty four brisbom
Broncos two to eighty joining us now for end of
the show. Huge supporter of the Warriors, die Henward morning Die.
I'm just looking here at New Zealand Warriors dollar forty
(37:02):
four Brisbane Broncos two to eighty. I imagine as well,
it's sold out at Suncorp. But when I were saying
earlier on most of those people at Suncorp will surely
be Warriors fans.
Speaker 9 (37:13):
Oh absolutely, you're looking. I reckon sixty forty potentially. And
it's a huge game because although like at third the sixteenth,
the Broncos at any time can can can pull out
a win. You mentioned their stars, the huge I mean
Reyes Waltch hasn't popped off this season. I hope this
(37:35):
isn't the week he does it. They've got some big
begins with a huge, huge man Orblis Tulfa, but so
do we. We're Demitri by Manga coming back and we've
got a pretty solid lineup. Luke Metcalf his second week.
Is he going to do it or is he going
to do it again?
Speaker 4 (37:54):
You'd have to think you will.
Speaker 5 (37:56):
He showed no signs of any ring rush last week.
Tell me that the Panthers and the Roosters played last night.
Roosters won. What does that mean for our top two hopes?
Speaker 9 (38:08):
Roosters are my second team. I was rooting for them,
but I wanted Penriis to win. What it means is
Roosters are top. They're clear of us by four points.
Now as Penris drop a game and we keep winning,
we go into second. But that means we play Penris
first week at the finals, so it's.
Speaker 4 (38:29):
A bit of a tough one.
Speaker 9 (38:31):
Everyone's talking about us wanting to be in the top
two because that means we could potentially have two home finals.
At the end of the day, we've just got to
keep winning. However, it is stressful because as people saw
last week, I mean, the Sharks got beaten by the Dragons,
who are the bottom of the table, and the Sharks
look like a bona fide top four side. So all
(38:54):
we can do is keep winning. Let's hope that this
is Luke metcalf cementing himself as the X factor number seven,
and I mean I've got a good feeling about this.
We destroyed the Broncos last time. We averaged four point
five trying to match, which is almost a history high
for us, and we are flying. So I mean back
(39:17):
the Warres and this is going to be one through defense.
Speaker 4 (39:21):
Boys.
Speaker 9 (39:21):
We just need to smash them, give them no space,
give Reese Welsh no time to offload, and really stamp
out our foot on the throat. And the person to
watch for them is going to be Billy Walters.
Speaker 1 (39:35):
I reckon. I reckon as well, Die Henward. I hope
you know how the rugby league players nowadays and rugby
players as well, they have the wristbands, the white wristbands
taped up and then they'll write something on there. Oftentimes
it's religious. What I'd like to see on some of
the Warriors ristbands is the word gay abandon because the
(39:56):
way that the Warriors played last week, they threw the
ball around, they trusted themselves, they trusted the combinations, and
the week before when they'd lost, I felt or was
it the week before that, I felt like the times
that they haven't before, well they've just been a little
bit hesitant, but at this time of the season they
shouldn't be hesitant because they're actually playing bloody well. Most
(40:17):
combinations are really studding to come through.
Speaker 9 (40:20):
Oh completely, gay abandon is the way to play. People
often think gay abandon is.
Speaker 4 (40:25):
Phibolous, but it's not.
Speaker 9 (40:27):
Gay abandon has a lot of focus to it as well.
So I think if we can have a bit of
gay abandon through the backs and then Fisher Harris has
a game like he did against Kenrith where it leads
and rocks it up, I think the Warriors could definitely
take this out. I think gay abandon's probably better to
(40:48):
write on your wrist than what kin Evans used to
put on there with.
Speaker 4 (40:54):
Fold some seas.
Speaker 9 (40:55):
But we'll see what happens.
Speaker 3 (41:00):
I just can imagine. I can imagine we'll be just
looking at James Fisher Harrison just sitting down, just say gay,
abandon I want gay.
Speaker 4 (41:07):
I want to abandon from you.
Speaker 3 (41:09):
The confusion on James Fisher Harris's face.
Speaker 4 (41:11):
When he's just got gay written on once over the rest.
Speaker 3 (41:15):
Gay on one rested, abandoned on the other.
Speaker 4 (41:17):
What do you think in die thirteen plus one to twelve?
Speaker 9 (41:20):
I'd love to see thirteen plus. Last time we dusted,
and remember we put forty points on.
Speaker 1 (41:26):
Hey, here's it.
Speaker 9 (41:28):
If we beat them by forty five, we skip, we
jump in rest even though we'll be on the same.
Speaker 4 (41:34):
Point all right, forty five plus we could if we could.
Speaker 9 (41:37):
Go forty five plus, we're holding that second spot. However,
I personally I think it's going to be relatively close.
I'm looking at twenty four six to us.
Speaker 1 (41:47):
Okay, okay, die Heim. Well, thank you so much for
your time this morning. Always a pleasure to chat. Have
a lovely weekend, Jerry and Mini.
Speaker 7 (41:56):
The hold Icky Breakfast.
Speaker 1 (41:57):
Thanks to Bunning's trade bill big rewards with new power
pass pro awards by Bunnings.
Speaker 3 (42:02):
Give us a call now, eight hundred herdache.
Speaker 1 (42:04):
If you want to win a three hundred dollar Bunnings
value which is up for granted this morning, all you'll
need to do is answer three questions out of five,
get those correct in forty five seconds, and you will
win that.
Speaker 4 (42:15):
Prize three hundred dollars. I shouldn't say that's so loud.
There's people that work for Bunnings here. They probably don't
know we're about to bankrupt the company.
Speaker 1 (42:22):
It's coming out of these people's way too, like that, jeez,
out of Bunning's bottom Lineje's this.
Speaker 5 (42:28):
And winning going on the winning wheels. Just had a
hone right next to us here at Bunning's Glenfield. Come
down and have a crack at that if you'd like to.
I've just been given another baking eg back. Anyway, let's
get into it, shall we.
Speaker 3 (42:37):
Yeah, hope we got on the line.
Speaker 1 (42:38):
Good morning, welcome to the show. Good morning. Is that
Chris from Auckland? It sure is good a Chris.
Speaker 3 (42:46):
I believe you went to Northcote College.
Speaker 4 (42:49):
Proudly, proudly Okay, I think already on the its academic
roll of honor once, so it's your chance to make
it too. And also three hundred dollars, which is about
it's not far off the record, is it.
Speaker 3 (43:00):
No, Chris, were you smoking weed at lunchtime at Northcote College?
Speaker 9 (43:05):
I can be the confirmed not deny that.
Speaker 1 (43:07):
Yeah, fair enough? All right? You know how this works,
don't you. Chris? You just need to answer three questions
right out of five.
Speaker 3 (43:13):
You'll win that three hundred dollars Bunnings voucher.
Speaker 1 (43:16):
First question for Chris of all con representing Northcote College.
Name one of the three countries that border Luxembourg?
Speaker 9 (43:27):
Oh h Latchemburg, Germany?
Speaker 3 (43:30):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (43:30):
Correct? Who is the only US president to serve more
than two terms in office? Obama?
Speaker 6 (43:38):
No, it was Roosevelt Bangladesh. You're playing Test cricket against Australia?
And which city?
Speaker 1 (43:45):
Correct? One more complete the sequence Mars Jupiter Saturn? And
yet you no, it was your AANUS. What side one
last year's radio had dick he goat? Oh my goodness, No,
(44:06):
it was bloody black by pearl jam.
Speaker 7 (44:10):
Run away.
Speaker 1 (44:11):
It was the bloody weed you smoked a bloody lunchtime
at Northcote Collins.
Speaker 4 (44:17):
Destroyed your brain and the bad luck Chris Lucky the drawer.
Speaker 1 (44:22):
Sometimes I thought we were going to give away that
three hundred dollars Bunnings about a Buggers.
Speaker 2 (44:28):
Jerry and Night, The Hdarchy Breakfast and Now live from
Bunnings Glenfield in Auckland. It's the Hierarchy Breakfast with Jerry
Minit thanks to Bunnings Tree build the big rewards with
new power pass prayer Awards.
Speaker 1 (44:43):
Welcome along to the Hierarchey Breakfast live from Bunnings Trade, Glenfield,
corner of wide Oe Road and Archers Road in the
wide O Valley. You can come on down and see us.
Grab yourself a free bacon in the EGVAP. There's also
the winning Wheelman I s Jewet. Yes, that's been taking
an absolute hiding. It's just a the right of me now.
A lot of people are getting involved in that.
Speaker 5 (45:02):
I will say evidently people are starting to make their
way into sight because I think between about seven and
eight it was like a nightclub in here. Some of
the boys in here looked like they were still at
the nightclub from last night.
Speaker 3 (45:17):
Well ime in particular, it's calm down.
Speaker 5 (45:19):
Now and I think we're getting the school run, but
we'd love to see you if you're in and around
the area. Pop in Sagoday's barbecue is still humming. There's
plenty of food to go around.
Speaker 1 (45:27):
And of course you can head into your local Bunning
story and learn more about how you can build big
rewards with the new power Pass pro awards by Bunnings
coming up this hour, I've got acc here. G Laneho's
about to join us to talk about sport. He's putting
on a bet this weekend that could win thirty thousand dollars.
Speaker 5 (45:45):
Could shark out date as well a lot of people
people have been asking me what the go is with
the sharkle that you know we were at with that.
But up next, Jerry is going to put a Bunnings
employee here to the sword. You've got a long held
theory that you'd like to test up next.
Speaker 1 (46:00):
I want to put some I want to put some
Bunnings employees to say if they can find the aisle
of the item that I will come.
Speaker 7 (46:06):
Up with Jerry Andman Night the Hohtarchy breakfast.
Speaker 5 (46:11):
But now it's something I've been pretty excited for, Jerry
since you told me about your your long haled theory
a game that you wanted to play with a real
life Bunnings employer.
Speaker 7 (46:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (46:19):
My theory is whenever you're coming to Bunnings Trade, you
can ask for any item when you turn up, and
someone one of the lucky, one of the one of
the helpful staff will be able to always point you
in the right direction. I've never had anyone who doesn't
know where something is. So we've got Miriam here, get Merriam.
How are you good?
Speaker 4 (46:37):
Thank you guys? How are you guys? Well? Thank you?
Speaker 1 (46:38):
Mariam?
Speaker 5 (46:39):
I noticed first off, you've got so many badges on
your apron. Is this like a scout thing? Do you
earn those for various different things you do?
Speaker 4 (46:46):
Every time a customer writes a good review about you,
you get one? So oh very well. Yeah, I've had
a lot of good of the air.
Speaker 3 (46:55):
Wow, you've had a lot of good reviews. Have you
ever been on a Bunning's ad?
Speaker 4 (46:59):
I actually haven't. You must be one of the few.
But the next thing for you, is there a badge
for that? There must be? Probably is a badge for everything.
Speaker 1 (47:08):
Miriam.
Speaker 4 (47:09):
Your role?
Speaker 3 (47:10):
What is your role here at Bunnings?
Speaker 4 (47:11):
I just work at the trade desk, so just having
trading customers.
Speaker 5 (47:15):
Okay, how how much importance is placed on knowing where
things are around the around the store?
Speaker 4 (47:22):
Do you guys quiz each other? Is there a bit
of a rivalry as to who knows the most about
where the products are in the store? Honestly? Yes, Like
if a customer comes and asks a question, I always
try to be the first one to tell them where
it is. Okay, we might have really then, Miriam.
Speaker 3 (47:36):
Okay, so we're going to put you to the test.
Speaker 1 (47:39):
Miriam. I've got I've got five items that I have
walked around Bunnings during the songs and found, and I've
also written down the aisles that they are in. And
so I'm going to quiz you. I'm going to name
the item and then you have to tell me which
aisle that's in. Okay, Okay, are you ready?
Speaker 4 (47:56):
I'm ready?
Speaker 3 (47:57):
Are you confident?
Speaker 4 (47:58):
Very confident? Okay?
Speaker 6 (48:00):
Here we go, job Jerry, Okay, here we go for Miriam.
Question number one. Item number one, Miriam, which isle would
a rectangle a rectangle dolly.
Speaker 1 (48:12):
Be found in?
Speaker 4 (48:14):
That is down al seven? Miriam?
Speaker 1 (48:16):
That is correct, It is found in aisle number seven.
You have one from one?
Speaker 4 (48:20):
This is this is a walk in the park from
Maria and this is this is a day to day Jere.
Speaker 1 (48:23):
I've got some pretty difficult items here and I I
don't know. Okay, here we go. My second item, which
isle is the Riobi hammer drill and impact driver kit located.
Speaker 4 (48:35):
In eleven Easy. Absolutely, Miriam, it is an you before
you finished reading the question.
Speaker 1 (48:41):
Okay, maybe Miriam's better.
Speaker 4 (48:43):
This is what I thought.
Speaker 1 (48:44):
I'll make it more different than what about easy codacrylic
sela and undercoat. Now there's a couple of miles that
this could be associated with.
Speaker 7 (48:53):
There is paint Isle sixteen.
Speaker 1 (48:57):
Sixteen Merriam three from three.
Speaker 4 (48:59):
I mean, to be fair, all the paints in our
sixteen but again, oh really okay, Okayli Seila, Okay, this
was at the Academic she would already won the three
hundred bucks.
Speaker 3 (49:10):
I feel like this one's too easy.
Speaker 1 (49:11):
The Duwalt pole heads trim kite.
Speaker 3 (49:14):
Okay, damn it too easy?
Speaker 1 (49:16):
Okay, finally just fun here. Okay, I'm going into a
slightly different section here. Okay, the litter odor eliminator. What
isle is the litter odor eliminated? That's if you've got
a particularly stinky cat like mania has.
Speaker 3 (49:32):
It's down our pet isle twenty three.
Speaker 4 (49:35):
Marryam five from five.
Speaker 1 (49:37):
Wow, you are a credit to Bunning's Trade.
Speaker 4 (49:40):
Congratulations, Thank you guy. You need another bed A bit
for that, we need a had bad made up congratulations.
Good work that.
Speaker 9 (49:47):
Jerry and Mania.
Speaker 1 (49:48):
Joined the complayt the Hadaky Breakfast discussion group on Facebook
For more sports.
Speaker 4 (49:53):
Chat with acc Head g Laine, brought you by Export
Ultra the bier for here.
Speaker 1 (50:01):
Welcome to Bunning's Trade, WIRA Road acc Head g Lane.
Speaker 8 (50:06):
Good morning. I mean, look, I'm in the wrong industry.
I mean, if they put the whole son on a
Friday to come down, smack a couple of bacon egg buddies,
fill your gallot with ginger crunch, I'm in the wrong place.
Speaker 4 (50:18):
This is This would be your local, wouldn't it.
Speaker 8 (50:19):
It is my local. This is my local hardware store.
I've spent many a time wondering these. I was pretending
like I knew what I was doing. I'd proceed to
buy a lot of staff, take it home, break it
and then hire a professional to come and do it.
Speaker 4 (50:32):
What are they putting in the water over here? Because
this has turned into the radio hed I could crash
it was done. Ralph's down here. Cap Britain's brought three
of her seventeen children down as well. Well. They are
all six foot three and above. Yeah, what's happening on
the No, I'm not sure.
Speaker 8 (50:48):
I couldn't even get come and get a free bacon
an egg and there was in the car, so I
didn't He's help himself to three or four already?
Speaker 7 (50:55):
Hey, how good?
Speaker 1 (50:55):
How good was?
Speaker 8 (50:57):
I didn't snuck up on me? But yesterday there's some
started in Australia. The summer of cricket started. And I
don't know if you followed some of the social media,
but Bangladesh are over touring Australia and the Australians have
treated them with massive disdain. It's like a pain in
the ass. The Test Series isn't up and is it
the start? But I mean the social media throughout the week.
I don't know if you saw Labischang and another Australian
(51:19):
player hit their golf ball into the Bangladesh training area,
so their nets were next to a golf course and
the Australians were just playing golf and the bangladesh Is
were bend in the back and training hard. What do
you know? Day one, Australia all out for one hundred
and three or something and Bangladesh in ninety six foot one,
So suck on that.
Speaker 5 (51:37):
Well, you'd have to say, Darwin much closer in climate
to Bangladesh than it is to the rest of the
East and seaboard in Australia.
Speaker 4 (51:43):
So were they getting a little bit big for their
boats to Australia.
Speaker 1 (51:46):
Yeah?
Speaker 8 (51:46):
Absolutely, I mean, but this is good signs for us.
This is a weak Australian team, the weakest Australians team
I've seen since Brendon Julian.
Speaker 3 (51:52):
Okay, well you say that.
Speaker 1 (51:55):
The problem is I know Australian cricket and I've watched
it my entire life. Whilst the Bangalad issues will currently
be on top and Australia have clearly lost Day one,
there is still another five four days available and Australia
will come back and watch.
Speaker 7 (52:10):
Look, I'm sure they will.
Speaker 4 (52:11):
I'm sure they will.
Speaker 8 (52:12):
But the satisfaction of watching that Day one and just
watching Ossies have to actually be slightly more humble than
what they were coming into this series.
Speaker 4 (52:20):
Are you playing golf instead of training?
Speaker 8 (52:22):
I Look, I mean they probably haven't done us a
favorite bangladish have they because I'll probably refocus, refocus on
the Black Caps and we head out there in December.
Speaker 4 (52:30):
Well, Steve Smith wins about yesterday.
Speaker 8 (52:32):
Probably his wait.
Speaker 1 (52:33):
He was worried about a cameraman who had been there
forever on what they described as the widest sight screen
in the history of cricket.
Speaker 3 (52:42):
They said, you could see the site screen from Adelaide.
Speaker 1 (52:44):
Yeah, it was that wide. And there was a camera
operator just doing his job on the side of the
not moving and he wouldn't keep playing. And then there
was a guy calling out and the silent stop being
a princess.
Speaker 8 (52:57):
Smudge, You're not bigger than the game, Smudge, get on
with that game and was best. What I love about
test cricket you can actually make yourself heard on the
on the coverage quite easily. I do enjoy the cameraman
as well. The security guards said to him, you've got
to get out, and the cameraman you could visibly see
him go nah and just went back to his work.
Speaker 1 (53:15):
This is my job.
Speaker 3 (53:16):
I'm not going anywhere.
Speaker 5 (53:18):
The security guard was in high visit. That would have
distracted Smudge even more.
Speaker 9 (53:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (53:22):
Also this weekend fellas obviously all blacks last game before
the big Dance next weekend. They're playing the Bulls. Don't
know much about the Bulls. They are one of the
better South African franchises. They've probably done the best in
the European competition that they're in. They've made the semi
finals three times, but they've always they've never got past
that once again.
Speaker 7 (53:43):
Pretty much like the Sharks.
Speaker 8 (53:44):
They've got a lot of spring gout players in their squads,
so they're going to be fairly depleted. I imagine for
that Sunday morning game at five am, last of the
five as for a while, because after that it's three
am kickoffs. So yeah, listen out on Haidaki here. We
will have the commentary at five am on Sunday to the.
Speaker 3 (54:00):
High Velt games.
Speaker 1 (54:01):
Yes, yeah, that's yeah, because.
Speaker 8 (54:04):
Obviously the first Test match is going to be in
the high Velt as well, so it'd be a chance
for us to acclimatize for a good ten days or
so there.
Speaker 4 (54:11):
But MPC, how good.
Speaker 1 (54:13):
North Harbor absolutely.
Speaker 8 (54:14):
Went down to Wellington and Paul Wellington's pants down and
beat them by forty points. I'm loving the NPC. I
didn't pick that one. We've got another cracker weekend another
Shield challenge. Canterbury are going to defend the Shield against
Bay of Plenty ed Takaha under.
Speaker 1 (54:29):
The roof with Richie Mo.
Speaker 8 (54:30):
No Richie Mo. So it's all on and I'm backing.
I'm backing Bay Plenty to take that one. I'm backing
them to tip them over and big it back to
the Bay.
Speaker 4 (54:38):
Well, we put our three League multi on this morning
in our caller his name escapes me. He reckoned. The
same thing is like, no Richie Moe, a rudderless Canterbury
they give the shield up a week after winning it.
Speaker 1 (54:49):
I'm similarly with the tab app here because we're talking
earlier about Bangladesh versus Australian who say that Australia not
taking it seriously. And they've come out and Bangladesh have
beat them on day one. It's obviously still a long
to go, a couple of innings to go on the
seas match.
Speaker 3 (55:04):
But how's this.
Speaker 1 (55:05):
Australia is still playing a dollar forty four to beat
banglalades Bangala is paying two ninety to one the draws
at twenty six bucks, so nobody's going with that. So
despite the fact the Bangaladesha, what ninety for one or something.
Speaker 8 (55:17):
Yeah, they're only ten behind. Yeah they're having fun though.
Watching that game yesterday, the Bangladeshis were having a great
laugh of skitling the Aussies. They were dancing around, there
was the salute celebration, there was the jiggle. It was
some of the best cricket I've seen. It's a great
start to the summer. But I've put place this week's
(55:38):
Hedaki breakfast punt. I've gone long and I've gone off
the back fence, literally off the back fence Warriors Broncos
Saturday night. I've gone upfront tries to Aaron Clark, James Fisher,
Harris and Mitch Barnett all to score a try that
is paying two hundred and ninety six dollars. So I've
put one hundred dollars on that. It's going to return
it to just under many thousand dollars. If that comes
(56:01):
off and I don't win it, it goes to the
Hurdache audience. So let's be rooting for Aaron Clark, James Fisher, Harrison,
Bitch Barnett.
Speaker 1 (56:08):
Possibility.
Speaker 4 (56:10):
If we get another hucker, if we get a hugger
this week, Oregon, that's a show in do we know
if we're getting ag I don't think we're geting Hugger
this week.
Speaker 3 (56:16):
Qush for you.
Speaker 8 (56:16):
If we make the Grand Final, that's not a curse.
Would they roll down a Harker?
Speaker 5 (56:21):
Well, I've sort of been thinking huckers for home games
and the Grand finals in Australia.
Speaker 4 (56:27):
I don't know. I think so. I think I don't
think they could stop you. No, they definitely can't stop
it about hate crime, I.
Speaker 3 (56:36):
Hope. So it was amazing to watch, that's for sure.
Speaker 1 (56:38):
Thanks for coming in acc here, g Lane, you're welcome.
Go and stuff your face full of another bacon and
egg bat.
Speaker 7 (56:46):
Oh yeah, Shell, want you excuse me? Jerry and man
the Hurdarchy Breakfast.
Speaker 1 (56:53):
If you didn't know, as a listener of The Hurdarche Breakfast,
you own a share of two Shark.
Speaker 4 (57:00):
Two sharks, well if you chipped in, so if you've
just if you're a new listener to the show, I
found this app It's called the Great White App. On
that app you can track sharks and I thought, hang on,
one of these is called Yamaha.
Speaker 5 (57:13):
Why is that looked into it? Yamaha sponsor it? And
that got me thinking, well, could we own a shark.
So we looked into it.
Speaker 4 (57:21):
Keysy had blown the marketing budget on a racing pigeon.
Speaker 5 (57:24):
Turns out the marketing budget was only four hundred bucks anyway,
sharks four thousand, so that was never going to help.
Someone texted and said, look, if we have a whip around,
add hundred of us at five bucks.
Speaker 4 (57:34):
That gets us there.
Speaker 1 (57:35):
Yeah, and so yeah, so then we put it onto
the Give a Little Woman, and I put it onto
the Give a Little and we ended up going over
the four thousand dollars by mistake due to clerical error,
and so then we thought at that point maybe we
should buy two and sharks.
Speaker 4 (57:49):
Yes, that's right. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (57:50):
The original listening is Hidaki Breakfast is buying and Shark
Champion got for the year.
Speaker 4 (57:55):
Ryan Fox chipped in a good five hundred bucks into that,
which meant that we sailed past the goal of four
thy three hundred. I thought that meant that they give
a little listing, we'd come down wrong, and so so
it stayed up, and so then we were like, okay,
then eighty six hundred, let's go, let's get two sharks.
Speaker 5 (58:12):
Who do you know that owns two sharks? I screwed
that one up too, because we blew straight through that.
So we've ended up fundraising eight hundred dollars. Now the
worrying part for me is people wanted an update.
Speaker 4 (58:24):
Where are we at? First update is that the sharks
will be tagged in the breeding season, which is December. Now,
I understand that's quite a while away. It'll come around
quicker than you think.
Speaker 1 (58:35):
It's a bit like ten tric sex, isn't it. I mean,
I think the delayed kind of gratification there. It's going
to be intense when it happens, but it does feel
like a bit of a dry hump at the stage.
Speaker 4 (58:46):
A little bit, yes, But that was in the fine
print of the listing. So yeah, that's where that's at.
Speaker 1 (58:51):
Now.
Speaker 5 (58:52):
The next thing that happens is I have had to
become a verified account on Give a Little, which means
I needed to send through bank account verification, proof of
ID all these kinds of things, proof of my my account,
my dress because all of the eight thousand, eight hundred
dollars is going to be paid into my account.
Speaker 4 (59:11):
Generally, they say they.
Speaker 5 (59:12):
Said between the twentieth and the twenty fifth of the
month that it finished, so that would be next week.
That's time next week. My concern is I've given them
my sliggrogging account number, and.
Speaker 4 (59:23):
What are you doing that? Well, because I only I've
got two accounts.
Speaker 5 (59:28):
I've got the slide grogging account, and then we've got
the joint account, which is where all our bills come out.
My worry was what happens if the eighty eight hundred
dollars gets deposited into the joint account and then something
like rates or insurance comes out of the joint account
and all of a sudden, I've wiped out half of
the shark fund.
Speaker 1 (59:43):
No, okay, we need to We really need to look
into this because what I would suggest for that eight thousand, six.
Speaker 5 (59:50):
Hundred dollars eight hundred, we went over the so it's
an extra two hundred dollars.
Speaker 1 (59:54):
This is an Airman fix. So the eight eight hundred dollars,
can I just make a suit? Can you take that
because it's not going to be to December that we
need to pay it. Yeah, we need to put that
on term deposit for four months. You can put that
on term deposit for three months earning about four percent
interest and.
Speaker 4 (01:00:14):
Yang of this show. I would have never thought to
invest it.
Speaker 1 (01:00:17):
Well, why not, because it's going to make more money
rather than just sitting in your I mean, how much
percentage interest is your sliggrogging account earning?
Speaker 4 (01:00:25):
Okay, I can tell you what the overdraft fee is.
Speaker 3 (01:00:27):
Okay, well we need to put that on term deposit.
Speaker 4 (01:00:29):
Okay, well how much would we make it?
Speaker 1 (01:00:33):
Okay, we need to get in touch with a Z
find out how long three months are, but about and
then I think it will probably make us another probably
fifty bucks or something an interest sixty bucks. We'll take
that and we'll give that to Sustainable Otions. So basically, yeah,
like that, Well maybe you can slide rog with that.
Speaker 4 (01:00:53):
Yeah, yeah, so that's the thing. I think.
Speaker 5 (01:00:57):
What I'm actually going to do is I'm going to
transfer that to the Sustainable Ocean Society as soon as
it comes through, because you know, who knows if my
bloody Netflix comes out of that.
Speaker 1 (01:01:07):
My my, you know whatever, Why what do we put
you in charge of this money?
Speaker 4 (01:01:11):
No one but I'm because the bloody leadwork.
Speaker 5 (01:01:14):
There's not only one doing anything around here. Okay, but yeah,
so if half that gets wiped out, you'll know why.
But anyway, Yeah, I get paid, that money will get
paid to me next week and we will have the
shark by December.
Speaker 4 (01:01:24):
We'll keep you posted.
Speaker 3 (01:01:25):
You'll probably have and no sharks by December.
Speaker 2 (01:01:27):
This is the Hierarchy Breakfast, Jerry and Mini the Hdarchy Breakfast.
Speaker 1 (01:01:32):
So last week we were talking about the top five
biscuits in New Zealand.
Speaker 3 (01:01:38):
This is on the back of a herald pole.
Speaker 1 (01:01:40):
They've invited readers to vote for their favorite chocolate biscuit
as well. The final results were actually announced yesterday and
I got to say the winner.
Speaker 4 (01:01:49):
Was a real shock to me.
Speaker 5 (01:01:50):
A nice yes, I'm looking at it now. With fourteen
point six percent of the vote. The Hokey Pokey squiggle
would I would say lucky to be considered a biscuit.
Speaker 4 (01:02:00):
What is a clear number one. It's ahead of the
mint slice.
Speaker 1 (01:02:04):
Great biscuit, the Tim tam Good biscuit, the toffee.
Speaker 4 (01:02:07):
Pot ginger nut, which was number one in our top five.
Speaker 1 (01:02:09):
I'm very surprised that the ginger nut came in at five.
Speaker 5 (01:02:12):
To be honest, Shrewsburries and I mean, I tell you what,
I know, they've conducted some honest research. But I feel
like every Christmas, every key we conduct their own research
by having a look at the sampler box that someone's given.
No one even knows who was given the sample box,
but you can tell three or four days later by
what's left in there.
Speaker 4 (01:02:30):
It's always the wafers, and they were lot.
Speaker 1 (01:02:33):
I was disgusted, absolutely disgusted to see a cameo cream
come in at eight. Now, anybody that likes those should
be ashamed of themselves. The cameo cream that's the brown
one with the fruity kind of design on the outside,
that the crap in the middle of it stuck together.
I mean that one there, the cameo cream always was
(01:02:55):
the last one left.
Speaker 3 (01:02:56):
There was always like four of them left in the
sample box in my house.
Speaker 4 (01:02:59):
I'm glad to see Shrewsbreeses behind that though, though awful,
awful biscuit, and disgusted that they've made the top ten.
I will say the chocolate wheat, which was my favorite,
but low that's down there at number fifteen, fifteen. I
wouldn't mind that a bit higher.
Speaker 1 (01:03:13):
And I said this on the show last week, the
vanilla wine, like, if you if that's your favorite biscuit,
don't have a good hard look at yourself.
Speaker 3 (01:03:21):
I mean, there's so many other good biscuits.
Speaker 1 (01:03:23):
And also I'm pleased to see the Crispy, which has
got the coconut kind of vibe to it, that's coming
in at number ten. So it's good to see that
that's maybe the top ten. But can I just say
that Crispy should have a sea? Why does it have
a cat?
Speaker 4 (01:03:34):
I think that's a brand deal that one.
Speaker 5 (01:03:36):
When I look at number seven chocolate macaron, I don't
consider a macaron to be a biscuit. I consider that
to be a different thing, more akin to a cupcake
than a biscuit. Oh, like a slicy kind of a perhaps, yeah,
but I wouldn't consider that to be an outright biscuit.
Speaker 4 (01:03:51):
So yeah, I would like to see that one drops again.
Speaker 5 (01:03:54):
We had our own top five last last week, and
I think that's a fear of representation of the top
five biscuit. It's and that had ginger Nut coming in
at number one, which also all unlucky to miss out
on today's top five. As I look back at it,
Gingers of great MANA yeah, actually a little bit disappointed
that the ginger Nut didn't make it.
Speaker 1 (01:04:12):
Can we just go over the Gingers of great Man
are again, as.
Speaker 4 (01:04:14):
You can from five through to one. Samantha Hayes at
number five.
Speaker 3 (01:04:17):
Not actually a ginger, she's a bottle gin.
Speaker 5 (01:04:19):
It's an allegation of stolen valor from Jerry there, Josh
Homie at number four, number three pre fiddling with your
own face, Nicole Kidman, number two, the old Kerney Carrot,
and number one pul Tito there it is Jerry in.
Speaker 7 (01:04:33):
The Night They Breakfast.
Speaker 1 (01:04:35):
We've been accused here on The Hicky Breakfast of not
planning our show, of not looking forward enough, of just
flying by the seat of our pants by winging it.
That's true in a lot of ways.
Speaker 4 (01:04:46):
But I was gonna say where you go, and yeah,
that's exactly.
Speaker 3 (01:04:50):
It's good.
Speaker 1 (01:04:50):
That's that's totally true. And I was just listening to
another radio station the other day, Coast. It's one of
the n zen Me stations. It's one of our sister stations.
Speaker 4 (01:04:58):
Yes, they've got Tony and Sam Watts and.
Speaker 3 (01:05:03):
Jason Rae if thanks, don't forget about j Justs and Reeves.
Speaker 1 (01:05:05):
I've also got Home there too, and they do a
primo that forwards through what they're going to talk about
the next day.
Speaker 4 (01:05:11):
I was just going to say that the only they're
probably the only radio show in the country that does
more pep tides in the Hadaky Breakfast.
Speaker 1 (01:05:17):
Yeah, certainly, Sam Wallace, He's a walking bottle of pep tide,
isn't he. But they do a primo that says what
they're going to do the next day on their breakfast show,
and I thought we could start doing it, okay, because
I thought the promo that I heard yesterday, I thought,
you know what, it was almost so enticing that I
didn't even want to do the radio show this morning.
I would have rather listened to The Coast Breakfast because
(01:05:38):
of the thing that they were excited about talking about.
Speaker 4 (01:05:40):
Okay, here it is here, Hi, it's Tonny Jason Sam
from You Feel Good Breakfast. Then tomorrow morning, after eight,
we're going to tell you the things that we grew
up with that has now been called traumatic.
Speaker 1 (01:05:49):
So do you have trauma in your past? Let's be honest,
we all.
Speaker 4 (01:05:52):
Do, specially who grew up in the seventies, the eighties
or the early nineties.
Speaker 1 (01:05:55):
Get your days started with Coasts Feel Good Breakfast again.
Speaker 4 (01:06:01):
Six.
Speaker 3 (01:06:04):
Yeah, I thought people might turn on to listen to
our trauma.
Speaker 4 (01:06:08):
Okay, yeah, okay, Well this is great foresight and planning
from them. Call on tomorrow if you have trauma. So
what geez?
Speaker 5 (01:06:16):
I wish we went down here at Buddings this morning.
I could have turned into that show. Did they put
a podcast out? I'd love to hear so. When I
was seven years old, it was just me and my uncle.
Speaker 1 (01:06:26):
And we're gonna do it.
Speaker 3 (01:06:28):
We're gotta do trauma Wednesday.
Speaker 1 (01:06:30):
Okay, Well, then we relive our own childhood trauma live
on air, I think, and encourage.
Speaker 5 (01:06:36):
Other people to call up to Yeah, what's the what's
the most groom day ruining memory that you have when
it pops up one of your eyes shuts call through. Okay,
I think let's do it.
Speaker 4 (01:06:52):
Let's do it on Monday. Okay, I think trauma Monday.
Speaker 1 (01:06:55):
Have a lovely weekend.
Speaker 3 (01:06:57):
We'll see our Monday at time.
Speaker 1 (01:06:59):
Provail.
Speaker 4 (01:07:00):
Let time be the answer.
Speaker 2 (01:07:01):
