Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Hierarchy Breakfast. Get Set for Winter with Bunnings.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
Trade, Jeremy Wells and the Nice Stuart The Hurdarchy Breakfast.

Speaker 1 (00:07):
Welcome Lock the Hurdarchy Breakfast Tuesday, the second of June
twenty six. That means it's the second day of one.
To my name's Jeremy Wells. It's a nice Stuart.

Speaker 3 (00:15):
And if you screwed up the first half of the
eeget another half to screw up yet. Welcome back to Jerry.
Somebody put in the logs which no one at home
can hear or is even aware of. Welcome back Jerry.
So what a nice little easter egg wasn't there?

Speaker 1 (00:27):
Supply do they get me an eastery?

Speaker 3 (00:29):
No, they didn't get you an eystery? That was the easte. Yeah,
you missed a lot last week, man, missed a lot?
What happened? I have turned my dryer down, so now
my shirt, my clothes aren't shrinking as much in the
dry So you'd be.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
Happy to know you can turn a dry out.

Speaker 3 (00:42):
Yeah, just the heat to the heat down so that then, yeah,
the clothes aren't shrinking. Not a staticky?

Speaker 1 (00:48):
Was that a piece of advice that was passed on
from some listeners or you just decided to do that
off your own volition.

Speaker 3 (00:54):
No, my own volition. Just notice that got to police
it pretty heavily because the default is to put it
on the hottest set, and I saw it reaching for
the butlers.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
Do that bloody dry down? Yeah, I guess you just
want a new could and do it fast whatever you dry.

Speaker 3 (01:07):
But then it blood strikes all your clothes and she goes, no,
she's getting fattened in. It was when I the final
straw was when I got an electric shock off that
door the other day. I remember that lift the studio up.
That was all the static from the dry being too hot.
So here's a hot tip for your tune your dryers down.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
Look, Ok, you're not running an induction dry.

Speaker 3 (01:25):
Oh I don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
Yeah, that don't work. Don't get one of those? How well? Yeah,
we got one, and I think it took like six
hours to seemi dry some clotheslines.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
Yeah, it's actually actually took longer than leaving another line.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
Came out moisture and damper than when it went in.

Speaker 3 (01:43):
Oddly, you know, ridiculous.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
Welcome along, It's nice to be with us this morning.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
Jerry and Mini the hold Ikey breakfast.

Speaker 3 (01:57):
You didn't get a shout out from the king weekend,
did I said, they've got the what do they call it,
the roll of Honor, the it's academic role of honor
from the King.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
Now we're all we all have a little glance there,
just thinking maybe maybe someone's put me forward for some
kind of honor at some stage, services to.

Speaker 3 (02:14):
Services to what. I don't know.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
I don't even know. I don't even know.

Speaker 3 (02:21):
No, well, i'm looking at it now. It's on the
front page of the I've got an analogue newspaper here,
and I gotta be don't recognize a lot of them.
I was in the last one, wasn't he? He was
in the Order of He received the Order of New
Zealand Merit, Yes, I believe. And I'm looking at them now.
I recognize two of them. One of them Barry Soper.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
Oh yeah, we know Barry Soper.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
We know Barry Soper, so people in the media can
get them. And then the other one is Queen Bee.
So that's it for you.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
The people.

Speaker 3 (02:49):
Are you two of them?

Speaker 4 (02:51):
Susie Baits and there Susie Babs.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
Oh sorry, I'm just looking at the front front. I
can't read so I just got to go after pictures, Okay,
but yeah, that's about it.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
You didn't know doctor Paul Baker.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
I didn't know doctor Paul Backer.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
Had services to health pediatric airway management. Oh yeah, that's right,
you know him.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
I didn't know him. But Peter Bochier sounds important?

Speaker 1 (03:11):
Is the ombudsman?

Speaker 3 (03:13):
No, And I think the issue is just because I
won't do anything unless I can tell you everyone about it.
And these people are good, hard working keeps, actually do
stuff that matter and don't tell anyone about it.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
About David Allis services to the thoroughbred racing industry and philanthropy.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
No, I don't know him, although I did see a
news story on him last night and his bidding tactics.
Did you see this? So there was a story on
the news last night about David Alice and it was
showing footage from like the nineties of him buying horses
at a sale and when he bids in an auction,
he doesn't put his hand up, he winks at the auctioneer.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
Oh he's that guy.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
He's that guy. Yeah, he's that guy. You've seen that guy.

Speaker 1 (03:49):
I've seen that guy. Know about that guy?

Speaker 3 (03:51):
So they are they got it?

Speaker 1 (03:53):
For winking at people.

Speaker 3 (03:54):
He got it for services to winking.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
For services to do weird things at auctions.

Speaker 3 (03:58):
Yeah, that's right. He felt hard done by for the
blinking community. But no, so his thing was if you
put your hand up, they knew who was bidding, but
if you just winked, only the auctioneer could see who bid,
and so it would spook the rest of the people
because they didn't know who they were bidding against. You know,
it could be someone who's got a billion dollars, or
it could be Joe Bloggs who's just running a farm,

(04:20):
you know, brilliant, brilliant, brilliant tactician.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
Yeah, I'm having a look at the underrepresented or absent
industries because I always give my friend who works an
advertising crait. Because there's never been a Dame or night
Companion of the Order of New Zealand who's from advertising.
They just they obviously realized for services to self, so
they don't bother about that and so still lining your
own pockets. There was he highlighted someone who got some

(04:45):
kind of honor for advertising, but it wasn't a Dame
more sir, right, you know, But what underrepresented? I went
I went to AI, and I said underrepresented absent industries,
information technology and software engineering. Yeah it no one heavy
manufacturing and heavy industry. No one banking, commercial finance and fintech.

(05:05):
No one finn property development. I mean, when we're going
to get some what the property developer.

Speaker 3 (05:11):
Was the next key have to do to finally hostpone tourism.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
There's no one from Osborne tourism. It's a good point.
Who's highly represented? Primary industries and agry business?

Speaker 3 (05:22):
Well, has anyone been knighted for services to be in
a dairy farmer? I'd say probably not. What about a share?
Could we get a sharer on that?

Speaker 1 (05:29):
Well, you think someone who had won the Golden Chees
or maybe won something internationally.

Speaker 3 (05:33):
I want like a toiler, you know he's never won
a competition before. He's actually probably not that good. Third
stance on hereas.

Speaker 1 (05:39):
Great it getting heavily on the perse and then turning
up the next day at five point forty five and
sharing for three thousand cheap.

Speaker 5 (05:46):
I've got a question like the third one down there
jury the Professor Emeritus James Chapman. So he's obviously got
a couple of names before his name. Does he put
sir before professor emeritus James Chapman.

Speaker 1 (05:58):
Yes, yes, so many things. There's too many things.

Speaker 3 (06:00):
I'll probably drop the professor emeritus. People don't really know
what that is. Sounds like a Hogwarts character.

Speaker 1 (06:04):
Would you rather? I think you'd rather go with professor,
wouldn't you? Then?

Speaker 3 (06:07):
Sir sir as that's controversial. The women when they when
they are damed, they don't get the sword. Did you
know that? So only the men get the tap tap tap.

Speaker 1 (06:19):
Yeah, controversial as well. The women's partners don't get a title, Zara, No,
but the's going the male's partners, the females get get
a title. What happens if you're a gay couple? Well,
other than this has never happened a gay couple and
and one of you gets knighted? What happens to the
other become lady?

Speaker 3 (06:42):
Great?

Speaker 1 (06:42):
What happens to that person? That is a great note
that's never happened.

Speaker 3 (06:46):
Wey asking me is if I'm going to know what's
going on?

Speaker 1 (06:48):
I'm just think maybe we could solve the problems.

Speaker 3 (06:50):
Morning reach Out. What should happen.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
Jerry and Mini the hold Ike breakfast?

Speaker 1 (06:57):
Yeah? No so far on three for three? No one
who's been a whose partner is a dame who became
What happens if you're a male.

Speaker 3 (07:08):
Because if you're if you're knighted and you become sir,
then your wife becomes lady whatever you are. But if
you you're damed, there's nothing that doesn't go the other way.

Speaker 1 (07:18):
No, what happens if you were a sir? Yes, and
then you change to being a non damed. I'm not dained.

Speaker 3 (07:26):
Does your damehood? Does it transition to a dame? These
are good questions, These are good questions for someone else, though.
I don't know that it's us that are going to
be able to figure it out. But get in touch
on three four eight three. If you've ever been damed
and then transitioned, would love to hear from you.

Speaker 1 (07:47):
It will happen. It will happen one day, will definitely happened.

Speaker 3 (07:51):
Has it already? I don't know. I am in what
a lot of my friends have told me was going
to be winning planning hell at the moment, how all
the hurts, all the hurts, it's starting to pick up steam.
It's starting to pick up steam.

Speaker 1 (08:07):
I would have feel pretty simple stuff. I mean, just
get a venue, you just you know, get yourself a
band together, work out what you're gonna do, you know,
the guess that's the hardest.

Speaker 3 (08:17):
Guess that's the hardest part.

Speaker 1 (08:18):
And then everything else looks after itself.

Speaker 3 (08:20):
You would think so because people know. I don't think
you need to do too much at a wedding. People
know how to get on the piss, you know what
I mean. People have pass ups every weekend. IM prompt you.
Sometimes you'll have a pass up with you know, fifty
people that you didn't know was going to happen that day.
So how much planning could possibly go into a wedding,
well even even for someone who doesn't for a couple
who don't want anything, you know what I mean, be

(08:42):
have enough for the barbecue. These things can blow out, really,
but I have not because, as I said a few
months ago when we were looking, we're looking for a
venue somewhere to have it. And our first portocoll was
surely some farmer down south will let us we into
Paddock and then we could put a marque up, but
they've already thought of that, because the marquees are about
grand to rent. Then you've got to find the local
bloody rugby team to put it up for you. And

(09:05):
that's that was a bit of a did end.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
So that's no.

Speaker 3 (09:08):
So then we're like, let's get a let's get a
proper venue. They've got everything sorted for you, everything, you know,
and a lot of these places you email them and
they've got like a default email that they'll send back,
and they'll send back, Hey, here's the list of the
caterers that we work with. Here's this and blah blah blah.
One of the things is here's accommodation in the area

(09:29):
where if you're having a wedding with us, you get
a discount for whatever, you know, hotels in the area.
Great thought, that's great. It's a lot of you know people,
I've got family from down south, I've got friends from
up north. Blah blah blah. And they said, so all
you have to do is just pick a pick a
discount code you know that they can give. And they

(09:51):
say generally it'll be like whatever weddings that would be
like Stuart wedding, you know, July second. But I wasn't
paid attention, and my message goes, what would you what
would you do for the promo code? I was like,
promo code bulls. She's like, Okay, so she put it
into it a little screech, and I didn't. I forgot

(10:11):
about it until I saw it again later on and
I was like, hold on, so we're gonna ask her
grandmother to pull up to the hotel and go, yeah, Hi,
I'm just just booking and for the wedding this weekend.
I've got a promo code bulls.

Speaker 1 (10:28):
How are you spelling bulls?

Speaker 6 (10:30):
L o Z.

Speaker 1 (10:32):
Problem.

Speaker 3 (10:33):
We haven't locked it in, but I've gotta be honest.
I wasn't paid attention when I said it. Now I
think if we do this, we're going to have to
use promo code bullers.

Speaker 1 (10:43):
I just want to see.

Speaker 3 (10:47):
And that's very good, and we've got to We've got
a promo code.

Speaker 1 (10:51):
It's bullets, but I think it's below.

Speaker 3 (10:58):
What would you guys?

Speaker 2 (10:59):
Go Jurry and midnight the Hodarchy Breakfast Time for your
latest sport headliness Export Ultra the beer for here.

Speaker 1 (11:08):
The black Caps are poised to unleash their full strength
Test bowling attack and the first Test against England starting
Thursday Traber after an after an injury riddled last few years.
Man Henry Kyle, Jamison and Will O'Rourke are looking likely
to line up. Together for the first time at Lord's
from Thursday.

Speaker 3 (11:29):
Yeah, is there a more annoying time to play a
game of cricket? The first ball is at ten o'clock
at night and then and it's on a Thursday night.
So so you missed. Gelane was in here last week.
The radio awards are up on this Thursday. We're up
for the best piece of radio of twenty twenty five
and that was when we took the station off here,

(11:50):
so that was the That was the highlight of our show.
It's the best bit of content that we did last
year was when we just made no noise. But Gelane
is not going to go to the after party. He
was not at all to find out that he's organized
his own after party away from everyone else's after party.
And it's watching Day one and it's just watching Day
one test from the boards.

Speaker 1 (12:08):
Looking at the tab, they've got England his favorites dollars
seventy five obviously New Zealand three point fifteen. The draw
a five forty. I haven't had a look at the weather,
but it is June and it is England.

Speaker 3 (12:19):
You haven't had a look at the weather. That's not
yet uncharacteristic who's going to be over there? Shoul give
him the bell?

Speaker 2 (12:24):
Is he?

Speaker 1 (12:24):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (12:24):
He's just left today. I think you em and his
old man are going over there to go. I think
they're going to b to the tests, maybe at least
this one.

Speaker 1 (12:33):
Well yeah, there's this one, and then there's one at
the Oval. Yeah, and then there's one up at trent Bridge,
which is up north a little bit and just north
of Birmingham. And it's an interesting one because they've got
a big gap between this this test here and then
the next Test in London. So the New Zealand cricket
is going to be hanging out in London for quite

(12:53):
a few days now. I've hung out sometimes London for
a little bit when you're indisposed. Yeah, dangerous place to
be indisposed.

Speaker 3 (13:04):
Can find a pint in London, not hard, not hard,
Some great great spots for a pint.

Speaker 1 (13:10):
You can find everything in London. Tennis great Serena Williams
will make her long anticipated competitive comeback to tennis at
the age of forty four on grasp I was just
getting her on the weed at Queen's Club in London.
Next week, the twenty three time Grand Slam Singles champion
will play doubles at the tournament.

Speaker 3 (13:27):
Yeah. One of my great life's regrets, it's always the
things you didn't do, is when she came over and
played in the as B Classic and I didn't go.
I had the opportunity to go, and I didn't, and
I regret it. One of my favorite athletes, Serena, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (13:41):
Great athlete. And the Warriors going to a bye weekend
reflecting on the one that got away. They sit second
on the NRL tables. So the Panthers about them. Twenty
eighteen and a Ding Dong battle on Sunday night. What
a great game that was. It was the Warriors had
three tries this allowed, Yeah, but they that was fine. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (14:00):
Well it was hard to tell because I watched it
at the Warriors bar, the full time bar that they
got there in Kingslyn. I'm gonna be honest, real vibe
there on game day. But so it meant that I
couldn't when something good happened, everyone stood up and I
couldn't really see what was going on. And because you're
at a pub, you can't hear the commentators. So I
didn't know that those A couple of those, one of
them was pretty egregious, but I didn't know that they'd

(14:21):
been scrubbed against us, and I felt like it was
pretty fair.

Speaker 1 (14:24):
I thought it was fine, it was pretty even.

Speaker 3 (14:25):
Yeah, it was fine.

Speaker 1 (14:26):
I thought we got beaten by a better team.

Speaker 3 (14:28):
Were they two points better than us year?

Speaker 1 (14:29):
Probably? Yeah, they were. I think they were defensively very strong,
they were fitter. I think that's one thing which take away.
If we want to beat the Panthers, we need to
beat ftter. We need to be defensively, we need to
come up a bit faster, faster, and they were fast man.

Speaker 3 (14:45):
Yeah, that's right. But we had you know, we had
a couple of people out, you know, Mitch Barnet was out,
Kirk Cape we was out. Chance did he play?

Speaker 1 (14:54):
I don't know if Chance is going to get back
in the team anymore.

Speaker 3 (14:56):
Rocco'berry played New South Wales Cup.

Speaker 1 (15:00):
Anyone, why is anyone? Rocco beerr is not going to
be in the tame.

Speaker 3 (15:02):
Well Roger two us a ship. You may have heard
of him. He just blew his knee out and he
will never play in the NRAL again. So it's a
good time for him to come back. And Luca Mickeyafu
started at halfback for the new South Wales Cup team
as well. Yeah, so high drama, interesting high drama at
the wires. Can we do an algo check up next?
I something has just consumed my algorithm over the weekend,

(15:25):
and to be honest, it's coming a good time because
my my Discover page is getting little out of control
and now it's been overtaken by one thing and I
want to run it past your next I think it's
a good investment for the show.

Speaker 1 (15:36):
Actually, I've seen what it is and I think it's
a sign of a third life crisis.

Speaker 3 (15:41):
Jerry Andman Night, the Hootarchy, Breakfast, quick Altgo check Fellas.
I've chucked a link in the dock that you can
click that with no fear. Jerry, don't worry, it's not
an ambush. I've gotta be honest right now. And then
you're you're you know, your algorithm can get away on you.
You know, it's just a lot of a lot of
rugby league highlights, a lot of asketball highlights. You click

(16:02):
on one Sydney Sweeny post and it's just a it.
Well now it's like I can't check my social media
feed and mixed company because the bloody algorithms like, oh
you like that, do you?

Speaker 1 (16:12):
No?

Speaker 3 (16:12):
I don't. I just you know, I was my thumb
double whatever.

Speaker 1 (16:16):
It knows, it knows how long you linger. And then
especially when you zoom. Do you know, No, it knows
the zoom And that's the funny thing. And he goes,
oh you like those.

Speaker 3 (16:26):
Do you right?

Speaker 1 (16:30):
I know what you're like.

Speaker 3 (16:31):
The one that kills me is if you if you
ever put your phone down and it's playing a reel
that you didn't you know, you just put it down,
You didn't even look at it, but it plays it
like three times when you're doing the dishes or something,
and then it's like, oh you like that, you really
like that? You really like pegmy hippos? No, No, I don't.
I just I was doing something else anyway. So those

(16:53):
thing's almost been sent to me from God. It's just
it's cleaned up my elgo for for one thing. If
it's so, I think it's it's the start of a
new era for me, and it is. All my algorithm
is now is Honda gold Wing motorbikes from the mid nineties.
I've got a photo of one in the dark for you.

Speaker 1 (17:12):
There that the giant motorbike that could be a car.

Speaker 3 (17:15):
Yeah, it's enormo. No, these things, they are the big
Grand touring one they've got. It looks like it looks
like a Transformer. Yeah, like if one of the Decepticons
turned into a motorbike, it'll be there. It's but it's huge.
It's got the dashboard. It's from the nineties. These things
have cassette players in them. They got walkie talkie, so
you plug your headset into the dashboard and then your

(17:36):
passenger's got a headset as well. You guys can all
talk to each other each of them. They have also
got like a short range radio so you can walk
your talk at each other. If you're in a convoy
with other gold Wings, is that things.

Speaker 1 (17:47):
Running of That thing's running at one point for a
fifteen hundred and twenty c C flat sex engine.

Speaker 3 (17:53):
Yeah yeah what Yeah, the new ones. I think I've
got the sexes of them.

Speaker 1 (17:59):
Good. Have such a messive you need it fast to
what They're just heavy.

Speaker 3 (18:03):
I saw a video on over the weekend of one
of these Honda gold Wings towing a boat out of
the water. I just know immediately as soon as I
saw it, I was just like I send it to
Joe Jury and I was just like, look, let's they're
not expensive. They're under ten grand to get one of
these things. I was like, look, let's just get a
couple of these and we'll just hit the road. Picture
of me chuck on venture a highway and picture of

(18:27):
me just on a South Island motorway just cruising past
Mount Curve with this blast thing.

Speaker 1 (18:32):
Why do you need something so big though?

Speaker 7 (18:34):
Like?

Speaker 1 (18:34):
What are you? Are you taking your entire wardrobe with you?
The curs It got a kitchen sinking your just about.

Speaker 3 (18:40):
You could fit a twenty four pack of beer in
each of the saddlebags on the back alone. The front's
got surround sound speakers in the dashboard at the front,
the speakers at the back as well. It's an absolutely
incredible machine.

Speaker 1 (18:53):
I'm just having a look here at prices. Just see
how many there are around the place. So a brand
new one, yeah, well that's not making them whow yeah Okay,
the new one start at twenty five thousand. That's still
not for the base model.

Speaker 3 (19:05):
That's not bad for a top of the range mobike.

Speaker 1 (19:08):
Bang buck there in New Zealand, hold On forty nine
nine five in New Zealand cheapest creeper. Yeah, but you
can do the models twelve to twenty five thousand.

Speaker 3 (19:18):
Yeah, at around ten grand you can get one of
those suckers. So look, I'm gonna be honest with you.
I think this is this is my future. And if
you want to join the gang as well, Jerry Reckon,
you should get involved.

Speaker 1 (19:28):
Imagine us chips in it all.

Speaker 3 (19:30):
Both of us can hear it.

Speaker 2 (19:34):
Now, Jerry and Mini the hold Ikey breakfast.

Speaker 3 (19:38):
I was watching the footy over the weekend, Fellers and
every now and then. You know a big part of
both rugby union and rugby league as here does. They're
a bashion Here does rugby league and rugby union it's
the burst fade at the moment. And rugby league there's
just crazy mullets which have always been a hallmark of
the game.

Speaker 1 (19:55):
Yeah, I think they will be up there. I think yeah.
You know, if you're looking for the four of rugby league, you.

Speaker 8 (20:02):
Go throat, throat tet, shintet, shint tet, weird, haircut um,
heavy defense, heavy heavy defense, heavy.

Speaker 1 (20:13):
Defense and rulings from the bunker.

Speaker 3 (20:18):
And rulings from the bunker. Yeah that's right. And I
noticed you know, it can be quite noticeable when someone's
got a new lit. And I noticed that one of
the players over the weekend was rocking and baldy h
And I don't want to say who the player was,
because I know that there was a video of a
prominent rugby league figure criticizing his heirline in the week before.

Speaker 1 (20:40):
Is that right?

Speaker 3 (20:41):
Yeah, ruders had a search for it this morning. That
video is no longer up online and all of a
sudden that player has taken it to the woodshed, is
that right? And cut it all off, criticizing the hereline,
just saying it was just saying it was thinning a
little bit, okay, which is hard because you know, when
you're playing sport, here.

Speaker 1 (20:58):
Goes all over the shop injurious territory to be running.

Speaker 3 (21:01):
In, Yeah, exactly. And I would have thought, I don't
think it's fear to criticize another man's hairline.

Speaker 1 (21:08):
Hairline shaming, yeah.

Speaker 3 (21:10):
Or whether the thinning or not. But I thought maybe
this morning it could be a good opportunity off the
back of that to have an honestly accountability session ourselves.

Speaker 1 (21:17):
Just have a little assessment.

Speaker 3 (21:18):
We were sitting just have we around the have we're
around the studio because I noticed the other day I'm wearing
a hat this morning, so I got crazy hat here.
But the other day I was sitting there and I
was just sort of rubbing my forehead, probably winning planning stress,
and I just noticed that in the corner my hands
just went a bit higher up than I thought it
used to. Do you know what I mean?

Speaker 1 (21:38):
Yes, are you feeling? You feel in the most peaks, starting.

Speaker 3 (21:41):
Maybe creeping in the corners a little bit. And then
the other thing I've noticed is because our cameras in
the studio are above our head, and so it's filming
straight down. You never see that angle of your own
head unless you're having your Ashley muttin turning point in
a deary and they you can see the thing. And
I was like, Jesus can see straight through there.

Speaker 1 (21:58):
Oh dude, it's coming for all of us. Yeah, there's
no question of that. And I actually thought in my
head because my grandfather, you know, he died at like
ninety or something, and he had the full head of
hair and had gone a bit gray, but not that gray. Yeah,
And I thought to myself, mother's father. It's my mother's
How that works? Yeah, I went. Mother's father had his hair.
It was receiving a bit, but he had his hare

(22:19):
until the end, and I thought, I'm good to go.
And in my head, I just thought, good to go.
A problem, but on your head. But but recent times
I've had a look and she's definitely gone back in
the corners.

Speaker 3 (22:33):
There's no doubt I be creeping in the corners a
little bit. I'm creeping in the corners here.

Speaker 1 (22:37):
It's like hairline and I used to be this and
it's creeping at pace.

Speaker 3 (22:40):
Yeah, it picks up on it. I think, yeah, I'm
at the starting point of it, but it's it's sort
of you're quite advanced.

Speaker 1 (22:45):
And my dad did a weird thing where my dad
had his hair all fine, had his hair head is
here and at seventy it literally just dropped out. Yeah,
it dropped out within the space of about a year.
And it took him by It rocked them. I could
tell it actually took him. I gave him a little
bit of jip about it at one stage, gave him
a bit of stick, and he wasn't having it. He

(23:06):
didn't respond brilliantly to it. And I was like, Okay,
I won't go back there again.

Speaker 3 (23:10):
It is a sore spot for sometimes.

Speaker 1 (23:11):
Yeah, but I mean it's coming for That's what I'm
thinking now. So I had pride, pride comes before a fall,
and I thought, I thought, you know, I'll be fine,
And now I'm thinking, oh, no, it gets everyone.

Speaker 3 (23:21):
Yeah, I know you were looking into Chinese research pet tides. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (23:25):
At one point, first problem was my stupid forehead is
there seems to have been some sort of evolutionary problem
with it, and it's made it a lot bigger, which
pushes my hairline back. I think the problem for me
is right at the front, the bit that sticks out
right between your eyes.

Speaker 1 (23:40):
It's really starting to go.

Speaker 5 (23:44):
And then as you observed off him, and I'm starting
to do a little bit of a push forward in
the widow's peak as well.

Speaker 1 (23:51):
I was just noticing that you're push pushing for now.
But look, look, let's be, let's be look, there's no shame.

Speaker 2 (23:58):
No.

Speaker 3 (23:58):
This is why it is an important conversation they have
this morning because every man and every man thinks about
it too. They will never say anything about it. But
just know, if there's a man in your life, he's
looking at himself in the merryga.

Speaker 1 (24:08):
Hey, can I just can we get quick around the room?

Speaker 4 (24:10):
Though?

Speaker 1 (24:11):
Would anyone go? Would anyone go to Turkey?

Speaker 3 (24:16):
The Turkish heirline, would anyone go to Turkey?

Speaker 1 (24:18):
Here?

Speaker 6 (24:19):
You know?

Speaker 5 (24:20):
The thing for me is if you go to Turkey
and you get the front done, then what happens when
the back starts going, Yeah, you're going to go. It's
like an idiot, Yeah, more of an idiot.

Speaker 3 (24:27):
I'd rather I'd rather fry a tucket than he had
to the need to Turkey. But the hard part that
was in between, you know, what do you do when
it's starting to go? That's the part. But I look
at bald men with envy, like no drum has no
head here, don't have to do you here in the morning,
hop up, bounce this.

Speaker 1 (24:46):
Normally it suits you too. If it's meant to go,
it's yeah, the universe is telling you something. It's meant
to go. It's me to go.

Speaker 9 (24:53):
Sick.

Speaker 3 (24:53):
Ashley sticks for a boys trip to Turkey.

Speaker 2 (24:57):
Jerry Munny the hod Ikey Breakfast Jerry and I are
joined the complay so hi'd ack you Breakfast discussion group
on Facebook.

Speaker 1 (25:05):
So the first round of Super Rugby playoffs for twenty
twenty six are on this weekend, and the Hurricanes host
the Brumbies, the Crusaders host the Blues, and the Chiefs
host the Reds. All the home teams are heavily favored
to win, but could there be an upset joining us
now Sky Sports commentator disgrace for Mahihland, friend of the show, Joey.

(25:28):
We luck?

Speaker 10 (25:29):
How are you fellas?

Speaker 1 (25:31):
Very good, Joey. So things are hot and up We're there,
We're We're there, Joey, we are there.

Speaker 6 (25:37):
Hayton right up here? Good? How good is going into playoffs? Hey?
Especially after the ship show we saw on the last round,
round sixteen. I mean, obviously I was a little bit
disappointed Friday night that there wasn't a little bit more
on the line between the Crusaders and Hurricanes, because gee
was the Crusaders is bloody always?

Speaker 3 (26:01):
Do you know?

Speaker 6 (26:03):
I feel like every.

Speaker 11 (26:04):
Year we say the same god damn thing.

Speaker 6 (26:07):
About your Crusaders to night, Yeah, and they come and
right again at the right time of year, and Gena
playing a beautiful brand of football.

Speaker 1 (26:15):
Objects in the review mirror on the line Friday night, Yeah.

Speaker 3 (26:19):
Objects in the review mirror often closer than they appear.
I'm with you, Joe how do you stop that? Because
there was a lot of players rested over the weekend.
Basically the playoff positions were more or less set going
into this weekend, and it meant that one of you know,
what should have been a massive home derby weekend had
a bit of a furs taken out of it. Is
there a way to fix that?

Speaker 6 (26:39):
Well, one thing that I do would be make sure
strengthen the Blues because even though the your blows duy,
because even though the Chiefs they rested a ton as
well of.

Speaker 11 (26:49):
Players, they still got they still got sixty points, well
fifty nine to be exactly think. So, yeah, I don't
I'm not sure what the answer is, but yeah, I
think that was the disappointing thing about you know, the
final round of Super Raggy round robin, and we had
two teams and the Hurricanes and the Chiefs, who you know,

(27:12):
by virtue of controlling their own destiny, were able to
rotate a few wounded bodies wounded bodies out. But yeah,
it would have been nice to have seen, I think,
especially that Crusader fixture down and down in christ Church
was a fully stacked Hurricane side against the fully stacked
Crusader side, it would have been an absolute doozy.

Speaker 1 (27:34):
Looking forward to this weekend, though, Joey, can you really
see an upset from the Hurricanes versus the Brumbies? Can
you really see an upset from the Brumbies? Can you
really looking at the way the Crusaders are playing and
looking at the way the Blues played in the weekend?
I mean that was tough going as a Blues fan.
And then the Chiefs versus the Reds, I mean, can
you realistically see an upset there?

Speaker 6 (27:53):
I can't, No, I cann't. Fuck. The thing that will
be just sort of sitting in the back of Hurricanes
minds is how over the last few years that've been
tipped up by the Brumbies generally in camera when it
comes to final time. So there might be that little

(28:13):
seated doubt. But man, like, I don't know how many
times I've said that, probably on this show many a time,
that Hurricane side, the way they're playing, they still they
still are hotter than Satan's mput like they are going
that good like man, that good to watch. They play
a great brand of footy. I just hope that it
doesn't ship itself in Wellington and they're playing and howling

(28:37):
southerly rain coming in sideways at the Caketon. That's the
last thing we want.

Speaker 3 (28:42):
Yeah, but you can see it happening, though, can't you.
I don't know. There's something about this Hurricanes team years
on paper and even the performances they put out there
on the park. I don't know. There's some I don't know.
I don't trust you.

Speaker 1 (28:57):
You're really to say, don't trust them.

Speaker 6 (29:00):
Yeah, that's what he's trying to do here.

Speaker 3 (29:03):
So so here's my understanding of how the lucky loser
things that plays out. Let's say that all of the
favorites wins, so all of the New Zealand teams except
the Blues go through. Then the highest ranked loser gets
another bite at the cherry, which most likely would be
the Blues.

Speaker 6 (29:19):
Is that right correct?

Speaker 3 (29:21):
Yeah? Right, Okay, it's a little bit.

Speaker 1 (29:22):
They deserve it. They deserve it, they do. I mean,
that's been so hard dumb. They play a smart brand
of rugby. They are start playing smart rugby, man, I mean.

Speaker 6 (29:38):
So smart, so smart. We just go back a couple
of weeks when the great James Parsons Connor Christian on
the pedal. Did you see that post the Hurricanes lost,
so he has he has Connor Christian on the pedal
and boom. Connor turned to him and only responded was

(29:58):
looks like you've got all the arts. James is absolutely
in one at the moment.

Speaker 1 (30:06):
Soon it's just, oh, man, I wouldn't want to be
one of those Blues players with vern as you got.
He'll be getting out the rotan and next thing you know,
he's giving people three strikes of the rotor. It might work,
look at my dam might work.

Speaker 6 (30:19):
It might be what they need.

Speaker 1 (30:21):
I don't know, man, I just can't see it going
well for us. I just I don't know for Blues fans.

Speaker 3 (30:30):
It's a bit of a fortress down there.

Speaker 1 (30:32):
I call the Crusaders that they know how to play.

Speaker 3 (30:34):
And yeah, the Blues aren't used to playing in front
of crowds either, so.

Speaker 1 (30:38):
That's going to be hard to deal with.

Speaker 6 (30:39):
Get they'll get, and the Canary fan base at the
moment a very very cocker. You know, look at our
spring new stadium, Pigion, you know, like they've got the
peacock and round.

Speaker 1 (30:52):
Like the castle, and you know how much.

Speaker 6 (30:56):
That actually awkwardness, you know, like this is the National Stadium,
that's what they call it, Jerry, that's.

Speaker 1 (31:04):
Not a national I'm even.

Speaker 6 (31:09):
Our national stadium cruisee Joe.

Speaker 3 (31:13):
Yeah, who if you're a Highlanders fan, who are you
throwing your weighting behind? Now?

Speaker 6 (31:17):
Yeah? The Mainlanders are them?

Speaker 12 (31:20):
Or yeah, like, well we'll get them behind our Mainland
brothers from there. And obviously I've got a little bit
of bias there, having spent three years in the shiny
trick suits at the Crusaders, So yeah, probably then, but
I've been on the cane train for a while now
just because of how they play the game. And anytime

(31:40):
I stand beside Christian column, he's always just like you're
with us, mate, you know, like you know your holders
are no good, so you can be one of us
till till the end. So that's always That's always fills
me with a little bit of hope as well.

Speaker 1 (31:52):
Well, thanks for your time, Joe, look forward to talking
to your next Monday. That's Joe Wheeler.

Speaker 13 (31:57):
Jerry and I have.

Speaker 1 (31:58):
The radio show from sixteen Weekdays Breakfast. We're just talking
about Shane van Gisberg and who got his best result
at a NASCAR Oval event and he's hoping that's going
to catapult him through the rest of the season. Andrew's
on the line now, morning Andrew, how are you?

Speaker 14 (32:13):
Yeah, good mate.

Speaker 1 (32:14):
You know a little bit about NASCAR, certainly more than us,
which is probably not saying much. But can you tell
us the difference between the Oval and the well why
people would want to watch the Oval as opposed to
the around the corner stuff?

Speaker 14 (32:28):
Yeah, it's high speed door to door. The consequence when
you get it wrong or somebody else keeps it wrong
in front of you, real real rednick following, Southern following
as well, which yeah, yeah, it just adds to it.
I think I've probably got into a lot more since

(32:48):
Shane got over there and should I started to understand
how how crazy it is.

Speaker 1 (32:53):
So yeah, So when you say door to door, what
they start the race at their house and then they
finish it the table? Is that one?

Speaker 14 (33:01):
Absolutely? Absolutely, that's what it's all about. So you can
get quick as to the track and then around.

Speaker 3 (33:06):
The track, get a la mon start from their own house.
I would like in it. Is it sort of similar
to how rugby league and rugby union. Rugby league is
very simple game, it's just smashing bash and then rugby
league would be the streets. Rugby union rather be the
street circuit part of it.

Speaker 14 (33:22):
You could almost say that, but the like, since Shane's
been there, it's been obvious how technical boat sports are,
and to dominate either one, you've got to be really
in games.

Speaker 1 (33:36):
Is that right? Okay? So the people who are good
at going around the oval oftentimes? Are there any people
who are good at both?

Speaker 14 (33:43):
Yeah, some are good at both, but not not not
to the dominating stand like Shane's obviously dominating the street circuit.
But yeah, there's guys. There's guys that are good at both,
but not not not the domination sort of level.

Speaker 1 (33:56):
What type of speeds are we talking about here, Andrew,
what's the difference between in the street and the oval
in terms of speed?

Speaker 14 (34:03):
On on the on the high speed ovals that we're
doing close to three point fifty and it'll be you'll
have forty cars go past you in about a second
and a half. It's like front to back. Yeah, three
three people wire, three cars wide. Yeah, insane.

Speaker 1 (34:19):
Okay, Yeah, I'm kind of okay, I'm getting a greater
appreciation for it. And also it's where you sit, doesn't
it let you want to sit behind people, so you're
using this slipstream.

Speaker 14 (34:30):
Yeah, to save the fuel, but you're also on the
jeopardy of the different somebody come on and get up
to in front of you and we're in there. Excellent.

Speaker 3 (34:38):
Yeah yeah, someone else Texture and said, part of it
is you can see all of the cars all of
the time. Is that part of it as well, Andrew one.

Speaker 14 (34:45):
Yeah, you can get a certain seat in the stand
and watch a two mile oval from see the whole thing.

Speaker 1 (34:51):
It's interesting. It's quite fast, obviously, and quite subtle. So
that's that's thanks for you, Paul, Andrew appreciate that.

Speaker 3 (34:55):
A couple more texts on this one Daniels, Texter and
Nascars for motorsports like test for cricket, pay attention once
or twice in overall lap. The rest of the time
you just watch one highlight each over all lap. And
there's an encyclopedia of nuances for the purists who love
their sports. And another text on three four three. I've
been watching Nascari ever since SVG started, and I wondered
what was going on with the ovals two. But now

(35:16):
that I watched them, I can see that it's very difficult,
it's fast, and it's very subtle.

Speaker 1 (35:20):
Bloody, you learn something every Day.

Speaker 2 (35:23):
Jury in the Night, The Hodarchy Breakfast Daily vis spoke
content that you won't find on the radio show The
Herdarchy Breakfast Podcast.

Speaker 1 (35:31):
Give us a call now, I laid one hundred hardachi

do is ask you five questions. You just need to
get three correct to win a fifty dollars Bunnings voucher,

hear your school's name in the roll of Honor there?

Speaker 6 (36:08):
No, but I nearly had a stroke listening to it.

Speaker 1 (36:13):
Rob, What high school did you go to?

Speaker 6 (36:15):
Gore High School?

Speaker 1 (36:17):
Gore High School is not on the list.

Speaker 3 (36:19):
Any famous X members of Gore High School?

Speaker 14 (36:24):
No?

Speaker 3 (36:24):
No, really no?

Speaker 2 (36:26):
No?

Speaker 13 (36:27):
Oh, Jimmy Kewen, no.

Speaker 3 (36:28):
Yep, Jimmy Cowen. Do you go and soon to be
rocking Black? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (36:33):
Mike Peru, oh years, I think so.

Speaker 6 (36:37):
Yeah. I think it's a little bit older than me.

Speaker 1 (36:39):
Is the head boy. Maybe yeah, right, yeah, I think so,
I think so.

Speaker 3 (36:45):
Maybe not?

Speaker 1 (36:45):
I no, No, I think so. I think so. Okay, Rob,
what all you need to do is get three questions
correct and you'll win the fifty dollars Bunning's voucher which
is on offer. Are you ready to play? Please, let's
do it, Rob. Two current Black Caps are on the
honors board at Lord's for scoring centuries there. Can you
name one of them?

Speaker 13 (37:09):
Williamson?

Speaker 1 (37:10):
No, it's Devin Conway or Darryl Mitchell, who is the
wife of TV personality and influencer Art Green.

Speaker 14 (37:19):
Oh my Turtles.

Speaker 3 (37:20):
Yes, that's correct, that's exactly how's written to.

Speaker 1 (37:22):
I would have also accepted Matilda Green. What is New
Zealand's national stadium, rob.

Speaker 13 (37:30):
Aden Park?

Speaker 1 (37:31):
Correct? Some people are saying to car har but that's
a load of crap. Okay, you've got to get one
right out of the next two Marie Fredrickson and per
guess form which Swedish pop duo.

Speaker 15 (37:45):
Harbor.

Speaker 1 (37:47):
I feel like I did rather at the service.

Speaker 6 (37:49):
By crap y Edmond in the middle really.

Speaker 1 (37:53):
Crepping on during that role because I forgot that we
do forty five seconds now?

Speaker 3 (37:56):
Okay, well do you ask him the last question.

Speaker 1 (37:59):
Ask him the last question for the fifty I think
so so he didn't get the last one. No, one question,
one question.

Speaker 3 (38:06):
Rob's got to get this right every day.

Speaker 1 (38:08):
It's got to get this. Are you ready robbed for
the fifty dollar Bunnings about you? Yeah?

Speaker 12 (38:12):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (38:12):
Ready? What is the capital of Tonga?

Speaker 13 (38:16):
Are?

Speaker 3 (38:17):
No, that's the capital of that someone. You had no
time pressures there, Robie. You definitely could have googled that.

Speaker 1 (38:22):
Yeah, he's a good man, Rob, He's a good man.

Speaker 3 (38:27):
Good man. Unlucky Robin. That means Gore High School will
not go on to the IT secademic roll of honor. Jeez,
mild and issues. We thought we'd gotten rid of them
when we rebranded it from Mastermind, but they've just read
their ugly head again.

Speaker 1 (38:39):
I think the issue might be met justice for Rob.
I'm the common denominator.

Speaker 2 (38:43):
A sweet last week now, Jerry and Midnight, the Hodiarchy, Breakfast.

Speaker 1 (38:49):
Going for lame. Claims to fame, No claim to fame,
as to lame? Oh eight hundred dache or three four
eight three are the numbers to call.

Speaker 3 (38:56):
Straight off the rip? Can I run round past you guys?
And I don't know how I feel about this one
because this feels like it's got no natural conclusion. Morning Fellas.
My lame claim to fame is that you read my
text out on ere during a segment. If this one
makes it to ear, that's another lame claim back to back. Now,
a couple of issues with that couple of issues is
where do we draw the line on that? Because we've
now read that text out about the last text that

(39:17):
we read out, this guy could go for ever on
this second secondary issue makes it sound like we've only
got one listener. But primary issue as he's reached, you
know those, it's like the infinite mirror where it just
keeps going further and further. Inepts, we're not allowed.

Speaker 1 (39:34):
I don't think we're allowed to. I don't think it qualifies.

Speaker 3 (39:37):
No repeats.

Speaker 14 (39:37):
No.

Speaker 1 (39:38):
When I said no claim to fame is too lame.
That is there is the line right now.

Speaker 3 (39:43):
Okay, it breaks the no repeat workday, bright and good
morning Brighton. Welcome to the show. What's your lame claim
to fame?

Speaker 1 (39:50):
Oh?

Speaker 16 (39:50):
Look, I went and played rugby over at Less when
I was nineteen years old, and our colts team would
play against the A's and my LAMB came to flame
fame is that they didn't have a blindside. I was
playing prop they didn't have a blind side, so filled in.
But basically seven out of their eight people I played with.

Speaker 17 (40:11):
For all in the England four pack, Dean Richards kneel back,
Martin Johnson, Cockrall Garthoyd round three and then there.

Speaker 16 (40:18):
Was Rory Underwood just was sprinting down the wing like
a cheetah.

Speaker 1 (40:22):
So wow, that's not that's not that lame to be honest, right,
And I'll tell you what when you read out those names,
you know, the first thing that came to my mind
was that cauliflower is yeah, boy, the cauliflower is amongst
that lot.

Speaker 16 (40:37):
But Dean Richards is like that unless they had the
alphabet on their on their shits.

Speaker 17 (40:41):
And Dean Richards as a massive guy growing up England
against the all Blacks and stuff in his hands.

Speaker 16 (40:47):
Were like the side like we're just massive paws. He
had big paws for hands.

Speaker 1 (40:53):
A hard bug of that guy.

Speaker 3 (40:54):
Wasn't how your is Broden? You got the Coulieflowers, No.

Speaker 16 (40:58):
No, I managed to escape that. But you know those
those fla areas that they're not the greatest silly puddy yeah,
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (41:07):
They go good at the part of you not to
be Messler. Thanks for Thanks very much for the coll bridon.
Let's go to Nate, Nate, what's your lame claim to fame? Yeah?

Speaker 6 (41:14):
Good?

Speaker 1 (41:14):
Oh boys.

Speaker 9 (41:16):
Yeah.

Speaker 16 (41:16):
On a flight from Wellington down to up to christ Church,
the great pleasure of sitting next to old Mark Sainsbury,
Old Saints oo, whitey mustachioed Saints. Oh yeah, yeah.

Speaker 10 (41:27):
We exchanged pleasantries really quickly and then they went back
to blasting my ear holes with the new Cannibal Corpse album.

Speaker 1 (41:32):
But really Cannibal Corpse, Yeah, that's not a band that
I imagined Mark sains would be quite interested in.

Speaker 3 (41:38):
How does the how does the mustache go? Up close
and personal?

Speaker 6 (41:41):
Night?

Speaker 14 (41:41):
Oh mate?

Speaker 13 (41:42):
It was absolutely glorious.

Speaker 9 (41:43):
I think it was tickling my earlobes as we're sitting there.

Speaker 1 (41:46):
Also a very good smelling man. Did you notice that
Mark Sainsbury.

Speaker 9 (41:50):
Fantastic scene coming from that man.

Speaker 1 (41:53):
He always runs a very interesting cologne. Mark Sainsbury.

Speaker 3 (41:55):
Yeah all right, he didn't have a suit next ed
editing that. No, not at all, mate, Okay, that's that'd
be a problem. Thanks very much for the call. Nate,
on social media, You've always got the chance to jump
the queue overnight for Lane claims to fame. This one
come through. I once petered a urinal wait sorry next
to Winston petersh heap peas just like us normies. Well

(42:16):
what we expected and how many different ways can you? Peter?
You'reine it?

Speaker 1 (42:20):
Well, I mean I've seen some people back in before
to go into the you know, with a vagina and
then just backing your I am with a man gina
bulldog in it at the back. Yeah, you're not seeing that,
But no, I've never seen this seen.

Speaker 3 (42:31):
I hadn't considered it a possibility that this.

Speaker 1 (42:33):
Might end up being things that I've seen at a
urinal chat. But I've seen that. I've also seen people
doing little boy wees where they pull their pants all
the way down to the ankles. Yeah, and then stand
up with no pants do it that way.

Speaker 3 (42:45):
That's because you went in the bruta.

Speaker 1 (42:46):
Just before.

Speaker 3 (42:50):
I took a photo with Paul Williams at a recent
Taskmaster tape being Jerry going full Michael Hill. Jeff Wilson's
mum looked around the corner for me. Growing up my
cousin brown eyed Jeff.

Speaker 1 (43:01):
Really brown eyed Jeff Wilson.

Speaker 3 (43:04):
All of the schools I went to no longer exists,
Richmond Park Primary, Melville Intermediate and High School.

Speaker 1 (43:11):
That's an interesting claim to phone.

Speaker 3 (43:13):
And then another one. Bronxi one eighty has tried to
send one through on Instagram and Instagram has censored it.
It says restricted response, so that I want to know
what that is? No, doesn't that just beg the Bronxi
one eighty.

Speaker 1 (43:25):
You can text us on three four o three. Our
text machine doesn't understand these things.

Speaker 3 (43:29):
He's a quick one from me related to Jeff Wilson

Jeff driving home from work one day accidentally rung Jeff
Wilson asked him if he needed anything for the supermarket.

Speaker 4 (43:40):
He didn't.

Speaker 1 (43:41):
Well, there are more lames claims to fame after this
three four three eight hundred.

Speaker 14 (44:11):
Oh?

Speaker 15 (44:11):
Yeah, for sure, man, for sure.

Speaker 3 (44:13):
What's your lame claim to fame?

Speaker 14 (44:15):
Yeah?

Speaker 15 (44:16):
So I'm back in high school a few years ago now.
But James James Fisher Harris was my roommate at boarding school?

Speaker 3 (44:24):
Now was he? Now? Was he a terrifying roommate to haven?

Speaker 15 (44:29):
Here was a bro, here's a bro. All the followers
joined around and everyone was just basically brothers at boarding school?

Speaker 3 (44:36):
Yeah? How did your was he was? Was it a
big league school or we guys playing union at that point?

Speaker 15 (44:43):
There's quite a lot of league going around. Now, it
was all around. Good time.

Speaker 1 (44:48):
What school are we talking here, Dyan?

Speaker 15 (44:50):
Fun today boys boys?

Speaker 1 (44:52):
Oh yeah, yeah. I imagine he would have been reasonably
good defensively, even at even at high school level.

Speaker 15 (44:59):
Dylan, Oh yeah, you want want to mess with him?

Speaker 3 (45:02):
Nah, whenever you watched whenever you watch the Warriors of
some of the people do obviously you're going to tell
them that you went to school with James Fisher Harris.
But do you ever tell them that could have been
you if it weren't for a couple of injuries.

Speaker 15 (45:13):
Oh of course, Yeah, of course all the time.

Speaker 3 (45:17):
Brilliant, Thanks very much for the call, Dylan.

Speaker 1 (45:20):
Barnaby Ware. This is from John barnaby Ware of Black
Seeds Fame purchased a baby change table from me on
trade me once. That's good, John, Oh, John's got two
lame claims. Fan, Now this is this is interesting for
the doubles? Is John? He also used to be my
form prefect with Die Henwood at Wellington College? Is that right?
Barnaby Ware and die Heno double, both of them? Wow? John? Yeah,

(45:44):
I like the lame.

Speaker 3 (45:45):
Claims of fame coming out as a loosing out a pause.
I like this text from Robbie. Thanks Nate for getting
it back on track. Brighton's was an actual claim to fame?
What the actual chairs Robbie? Yeah, that was the call
just before he called it and played with the entire
English forward pack. Yeah, not lame, Tim.

Speaker 1 (46:01):
Here's Tim's. I sold one s Peter's two packs of
SIGI's when I was a teenager working at BP in
the early two thousands. I told him that smoking stunts
your growth when he said direction from my driver, good
line from Winning.

Speaker 3 (46:15):
Great line from Winnie. As if anyone's going to believe
that he got out of his car to buy his
driver a pack of.

Speaker 1 (46:19):
Darts, I'd like to know what type of darts they were,
because I understand he used to be on the Winni
Blues back in the day, and I think there was
some BNH special filter twenty five.

Speaker 3 (46:28):
Really ye did piss around a marble these days?

Speaker 1 (46:30):
I think does he?

Speaker 6 (46:31):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (46:32):
Okay, that's interesting. My dad renovated Andrew Mertin's kitchen. What
do you go for?

Speaker 3 (46:38):
I wonder if give us a follow up, Let's say
what kind of things was he looking for?

Speaker 1 (46:42):
More than a team. I've just opened a batting cage
facility in west Auckland and my first follower on sosh
mid was Oscar Kitely. He hasn't been in for a
hit though. Okay, you guys are more than welcome to
come for a BESH special way any great stations. Thanks Jason.

Speaker 3 (46:57):
That's a great idea. Tom's ticks through. I bumped into
Colin Sligh in the left, lovely bloke. He is now
in finance. That's two time rugby World Cup winning colins
laid to.

Speaker 6 (47:05):
You, Ji?

Speaker 1 (47:06):
What about this? This is a beauty because there are
a number of people I think that could have this
lame claim to fame. I was on the place to
be that they used to have during the weather. Jim
Hackey used to run it Sapphire Springs and Kutti Cutty,
just me and my brother in the pool.

Speaker 3 (47:22):
Well, what is it like a photo?

Speaker 1 (47:23):
What did they do photo? So they would have seen
that Jim Hackey used to do it right, the place
to be tomorrow is Katti Cutting and then there'd be
a picture of something in Cutti Cutting And it seems
like this person was there in the hot springs.

Speaker 3 (47:36):
Wow, who would have thought? Ben ah special filter writes
them a ben.

Speaker 1 (47:40):
Special filter special I've heard being a special filter. That's interesting. Well,
the keep those coming in three four eight three oh
eight hundred Hadacke Jeesu is more that of a dump.

Speaker 2 (47:50):
Let's just come in Jerry and Minia the Hodaky breakfast.

Speaker 1 (47:54):
They are embroiled in your lame claims to fame O
eight hundred haydaki all three four eight three is the
number to text us. No claim to fame is to lame.
We can't stress that. Enough's Cam, Good morning Cam, welcome
to the show. What is your lame claim to fame?

Speaker 9 (48:09):
Cam co wroverer of mine once sold Steve Hanson netbook
and crouch oh.

Speaker 3 (48:17):
Deleted their photos off there thing. No, I can't imagine
Steve Hanson one having to buy a laptop. Surely, surely
whoever he works for would provide that for him. Second
buying secondhand.

Speaker 9 (48:29):
One no, no, it was from a from a from
a shop, from a like a.

Speaker 7 (48:33):
Refurbished situation first first hand, brand new, right right, yeah, no,
Steve Hanson, Yeah, that's sir Steve Hanson, Sir Steve Rugby coaches.

Speaker 3 (48:44):
Yeah they are. That's a great, great lane claim to fame, Cam,
thanks very much for that one. We go to JOHNO
online one morning, Johno, what's your lame claim to fame?

Speaker 10 (48:53):
Morning boys. That's actually my dear to part OF's mother
Lorna's lame claimed the flame. But a few months ago
you were going on about Jenny Shipley, Well she actually
delivered Burton Shipley.

Speaker 1 (49:02):
She delivered Burton.

Speaker 10 (49:04):
He delivered Burton.

Speaker 1 (49:05):
Whoa Burton being Jenny's partner.

Speaker 10 (49:08):
Well husband, I believe yeah, wow, Umbertha him. Yeah, that big,
big family down in dark Head, I believe back in
the day, and that was always mum's name. Claim to
fame is that?

Speaker 3 (49:19):
Is that a thing in the Midwiffery community to keep
track of any of the famous babies that you've delivered.

Speaker 10 (49:26):
No, I think it was just the fact when Jenny
became Prime Minister that she sort of sprung into her
head that she delivered her husband.

Speaker 1 (49:32):
Yeah, I know that you would sort of tell that
sort of story. Do we know anything about the birth
with Burton? Difficult birth? I imagine a large head. He's
a big unit Burton.

Speaker 10 (49:42):
I believe he was quite a big boy, probably a
teen founder.

Speaker 1 (49:44):
At least not hopefully not breach.

Speaker 6 (49:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (49:49):
I can't tell you that, but I'm sorry.

Speaker 1 (49:51):
If you could get back to us with with some
more details, John, I would appreciate it.

Speaker 10 (49:55):
I can't really's not here anything.

Speaker 1 (49:56):
Okay, So good on Jerry.

Speaker 3 (49:59):
Thanks for much for the call, Johnn. There's a texture
on three four o three. My uncle laid some carpet
for Jimmy Barnes. Not a euphemism, although my uncle was
up for anything.

Speaker 1 (50:07):
Should we go to Tim just quickly before we wrapped
this up?

Speaker 12 (50:10):
Tim, Good morning here, good morning, how are you doing, guys?

Speaker 1 (50:13):
Good? What's your lamee plan to fame?

Speaker 13 (50:16):
Well, my late departed mother in law's mother, so my
partner's grandmother. When I believe it was two dates with
David Edinburgh in the Wow.

Speaker 1 (50:33):
That's not that, that's not that lame to be honest.

Speaker 6 (50:36):
Yeah, an interesting, there's these elements of truth to it.

Speaker 10 (50:39):
So it was my.

Speaker 13 (50:42):
Grandmother in law slightly demanded. I can't say that. A
few moving pieces with it.

Speaker 3 (50:48):
Yeah, any any follow up details? I mean I presume
she's not one to kiss and tell. But did you
get any any probing details here?

Speaker 14 (50:57):
No, there weren't.

Speaker 13 (50:58):
There weren't too many probing details. She did. She was
very very that was one of her things that she's like, Well,
when I was younger, I went on a few dates
with David Dtchenber and you're like, oh man, that's amazing.

Speaker 6 (51:10):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (51:10):
I mean, I'm not gonna I don't want to speculate
about these things, but do you know what I've heard?
Tom coming up with and the night coming up will
tell you how you can win a trip to the
Grand Final in Sydney. Thanks to Export Ultra, we'll be
putting some people on the drawer.

Speaker 3 (51:30):
You're telling me Rhino is not the horniest thing in
those documentaries.

Speaker 2 (51:32):
Here Gerry and the Night, The hold Icky Breakfast.

Speaker 3 (51:38):
Sports Chat with ACC head Ge Lane, brought to you
by Export Ultra the.

Speaker 1 (51:44):
Beer for him. Welcome back at the studio, ACC heard
g Lane. How's the long weekend?

Speaker 14 (51:50):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (51:50):
Great long weekend. G gotta love a long weekend when
the wires play kind of late at night on a
Sunday and waded up thanks to the King, you can
just wake up later to him manangerously hungover.

Speaker 3 (52:00):
That's good stuff.

Speaker 1 (52:01):
Well what a game that was though, that game Penrith
versus the Warriors, that Top of the Table one v two.
It had it all that game. Oh my god. I
like that game.

Speaker 4 (52:10):
I loved it too, but I just part of me
was like, this, this is what's going to happen now
they are at top of the table team. You're not
going to get the rubb of the green now.

Speaker 3 (52:18):
No, But I would say this is the perfect That
was the perfect result for the Netflix doco. So we
come up against our first real test of metal. Where
are we in this competition? This laid into the comp
there's been injury drama. They had some of their best
players out. We had some of our best players out
and we got pipped at the post by two points.
They'll play that right before the final episode when we

(52:39):
meet them in the Grand Final.

Speaker 4 (52:40):
Yeah, that's right. Yeah, I mean, look, they they've used
their victory out once, haven't They used their victory once Penrith,
and now the Warriors will beat them in the final.

Speaker 1 (52:47):
And I would say that the Warriors are there or thereabouts.

Speaker 3 (52:51):
Yes, well, this is something that we addressed last week
Jerry or you were away and it's actually something that's
on the screen behind us right now the Grand Final
Beer Garden Tour. We're heading over to the Grand Final. Yes,
we are the three of us. Yep. It has alarmed
a few people that the grim Lane curves if the
Warriors were to make it to the Grand Final, that

(53:11):
g Lane will be on the plane.

Speaker 4 (53:12):
Like, I don't mind staying at Randwick for the whole weekend.
I mean if the final, I can say I can
stay at at Randwick because we go to Ranwick on
Saturday for the races and then we jump on a
boat and cruise up the harbor to the stadium on
the Sunday brilliant.

Speaker 1 (53:24):
You could just do laps of the river.

Speaker 4 (53:25):
Yeah, I don't mind.

Speaker 1 (53:26):
I mean there's always that option, and you watch it
on a big screen.

Speaker 4 (53:28):
Yeah yeah, I mean, look there's options there, there is options.

Speaker 3 (53:32):
Is there another chance to get in the drawer at
the a SEC I presume.

Speaker 4 (53:35):
Yeah. Once you guys give away your trip, we're go
another trip to give away on the ACCCE. So if
you miss out here on Ready a Heardache, you can
just tune into the Agenda podcast and you can know
the chance to win.

Speaker 1 (53:43):
It's going to be a popular one, that one. Oh yeah,
that's a that's a great weekend.

Speaker 3 (53:48):
Yeah, you'll be pescing around the cross lane rights, James, Oh,
can you explain to me lane? You might know about
this question without warning Arsenal. The celebrations across the weekend
are seen a lot, a lot of the parades and
stuff that they were having.

Speaker 4 (54:02):
So they won what the Yeah, they won the Premier League,
but then they.

Speaker 3 (54:07):
Went into the Champions League final and then lost that
and then had a parade afterwards.

Speaker 4 (54:11):
I think the goal there was to do a double
parade of EPL Champions League and make it the biggest
parade ever seen yeah, and they just had to scale
it back to just the EPL parade. YEA. Why they
didn't do two parades, I don't know. I mean there's
two pretty big titles, but just wanted to roll it
into one cost center.

Speaker 3 (54:26):
Well didn't they Look, I think they lost the champions yeah,
and so then.

Speaker 4 (54:30):
But I think they would have booked the parade already.

Speaker 3 (54:33):
It just seems I mean, it looked incredible the red
fleaers that the place got absolutely taken over, but it
was it would have felt a little bit bittersweet, like
losing a game and then.

Speaker 4 (54:44):
Yeah, that's true. Did you see a lot of footage
of footage buffering during the last kick of the penalty
shootout and a lot of bars around the UK. We've
been there.

Speaker 1 (54:54):
I was going to say to the a SEC organized
that there was also a parade on Victoria Street and
Hamilton over the weekend after the Chiefs speak the Blues.

Speaker 4 (55:02):
Oh yeah, that was I mean it was too easy
in the end, it was too easy, and we played
our B team and still won down there Edie Female Stadium,
But there was a foregone conclusion. The Friday Nights one
was a bit of a surprise. I didn't expect the
Crusaders to get up over the Canes as well as
as much as they did.

Speaker 1 (55:16):
Yeah, I did.

Speaker 3 (55:17):
I think that. Also, if you're doing super rugby math,
then the Crusaders won by four over the Chiefs last week.
Then the Chiefs beat the Blues by twenty four twenty five,
So they're going to win by twenty nine this weekend,
and then the Blues will lose and still get to
play again the following week.

Speaker 1 (55:34):
Because they have the lonesome losers the loan speed by
the coueen of hearts to retire, isn't.

Speaker 4 (55:38):
The Canes are loansome losers.

Speaker 3 (55:39):
Well, if they lose against the Brumbies.

Speaker 1 (55:41):
Yeah, the Canes are not going to lose against I mean,
this is the thing. Okay, So this weekend we've got
the Hurricanes Brumbies, Yes, Hurricanes again. It's dollars seven versus
seven fifty. I mean, I mean, you never know. Sometimes
Crusaders be the Blues use the Crusaders are favorites there
by miles staff three thirds, four o'clock Chiefs versus Reds

(56:03):
a dollar or eleven versus six bucks. So you've got
you've got the Hurricanes are going to win, the chrisad
is going to win, and the Chiefs are going to win.

Speaker 3 (56:10):
And then the Blues get a second bite of the cherry.

Speaker 1 (56:12):
The Lonesome loses.

Speaker 3 (56:13):
Why this, I mean, I can't imagine this will be
happening next year because there'll be fewer teams. But we
had this situation last year. Remember whether there was a
dead rubber. The last game of the first round of
the playoffs was a dead rubber because when or lose,
both teams were going through. Are we the only competition
in the world that has a dead rubber in the playoffs?

Speaker 4 (56:33):
Every year? The same time a year, we have the
same discussion the top two teams should get to buy
the bottom four playoff to play semi final.

Speaker 1 (56:39):
I know, like I don't understand what's going on there,
but I think they're trying to get more games in
with the top teams. But can someone say, who do
the lonesome loses play? I think they play next?

Speaker 4 (56:49):
Do they play the Hurricanes?

Speaker 1 (56:51):
So okay, you don't understand it, and men, I doesn't
don't know which way the wind comes from means that
it comes from the north or to the north. It
comes from the north.

Speaker 3 (57:00):
God, hey, good news.

Speaker 4 (57:02):
This week though, Test cricket at Lord's Tuesday night, ten
o'clock at night, you've got to stay up and watch
at least the first session of that because that is
that the first ball bold and the English summer of
cricket at Lord's is pretty special if you're a cricket,
if you're a cricket nuffy. There's a certain sound that
comes out of that stadium with that first ball, and
they're kind of not really a cheer that comes at

(57:23):
its cornwaller.

Speaker 3 (57:23):
Right, it's music, It's right, it's music.

Speaker 4 (57:25):
Yes, it's great stuff. In New Zealand playing against England
there the bowling attack looks sharp and you got the punching,
good looking O'Rourke, you got Matt Henry, mister Darcy. In
the end you've got Carl Jamison is back into the
team there.

Speaker 1 (57:39):
So then look they're going to get that Duke's ball.

Speaker 4 (57:41):
They're gonna be swinging it around corners. England have got
a few new players as well. Bears balls on the
way down.

Speaker 1 (57:45):
England are favourites. They are speak yeah, but they never
play well at Lord's.

Speaker 4 (57:50):
No, And look, we love playing in England, love playing England.
And because we were we've We've got the biggest group
of doubly baseballers like they have just seam up away.

Speaker 1 (58:00):
These guys, I'll be talking about it. It's time to
do something special. Yeah, and put a bit of pressure
on themselves.

Speaker 3 (58:07):
No doubt. How are we going to go on? No one?
You can we take that out.

Speaker 4 (58:10):
I think it's gonna be close. Are going to be close.
I mean, well, the last time we visited, dear Devin
Conway got two hundred on debut. If he could repeat,
that would be handy, big series for ravishing Revender as well.
I think this is when he really takes the reins
from Came Williamson. Obviously, all eyes will be on Kan Williamson.
He's only five hundred od runs away from that magical
ten thousand. We really want him to have a good

(58:32):
series in England and enjoy his cricket. Then goes, do
you know what I actually enjoying this? I'll go to Australia.

Speaker 6 (58:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (58:39):
But if he has a crapper and has a bad time,
gets nicked out early, just doesn't look like he's enjoying himself.
Unfortunately that this might be his last tour, so we
just really need him to have a good time.

Speaker 1 (58:51):
You're Williamson.

Speaker 4 (58:52):
What would I do?

Speaker 1 (58:53):
You'd just play in England and then you'd retire. Yeah,
he's a difficult.

Speaker 4 (58:57):
In Australia, Fish in Perth on a call free wicked
getting with.

Speaker 3 (59:02):
A famous victory. A great way to go out.

Speaker 1 (59:08):
Giving your chim music. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (59:10):
In Australian the Heat, thanks very much, acc Lane, Jerry
and Mian Knight the hot Ikey Breakfast.

Speaker 1 (59:19):
We're doing Lane Plans to Fame because it's Tuesday in
as always, there were more Lane claims to Fame that
came through on three for eight three.

Speaker 3 (59:26):
Then we could get to yes, this one here, this
one's timely. I used to service Tim Payne's mortgage. Now
what does that mean? Does that mean that they were
his mortgage broker?

Speaker 1 (59:36):
Well, I hope so, I hope it wasn't that they
used to just service him Pains. I mean, lucky for
Tim Payne if he just had some random servicing his
mortgage so he paid. I used to pay Tim Pain's
mortgage for him. Thanks for that.

Speaker 3 (59:47):
Were they a tenant for Tim Payne? Is that what
they meant by I used to service mortgage? So perhaps
he bought a house and they lived in Oh you
think that'd what's going.

Speaker 1 (59:55):
I think maybe, But I actually think it's more maybe
they worked for a bank, Yeah that's what I was,
or a mortgage managers.

Speaker 3 (01:00:01):
You said you anyway, the Tim Payne thing blew up
while you were away, man. Yea. So last week we
the story went up online on like was it Wednesday night?

Speaker 1 (01:00:11):
Thursday night?

Speaker 3 (01:00:12):
Wednesday night, and I said, he's got He's gone from
four point seven thousand. He's the least followed person at
the Football World Cup beauty, more followers than me, and
then he went up to five hundred thousand by the
time we went to bed, we woke up, it was
six hundred by the time the show started, eight hundred thousand.
By the end of the show he had ticked over
a million. And now I see he's up over three million.

Speaker 1 (01:00:32):
Four point one four point one Okay, told me to
give up football and just turn onto an influencer.

Speaker 3 (01:00:38):
Yeah, well, this is the thing. It couldn't happen to
a nicer guy. He clearly has no like when it happened.
We looked and the last time he posted was like
three weeks ago, and he just shared an all whites
posts and then five weeks before that had shared a
