Speaker 1 (00:08):
Naia good Minding. Welcome along to the Hurdocke Breakfast. It's
the third of June and there's a Wednesday, and the
year is twenty twenty six. My names Jimmy Wells. Has
been nice Stewart.
Speaker 3 (00:16):
I've just been scrolling through the dock here. First of all,
can I just say congratulations to right?
Speaker 1 (00:20):
It's Wednesday already.
Speaker 3 (00:21):
And what usually feels like a Tuesday isn't We don't
have to deal with Tuesday.
Speaker 1 (00:26):
This is absolutely tremendous happy hunt day.
Speaker 3 (00:29):
I feel like the week she started, I was just
scrolling through the dock and at the top, and it
has been at the top, I would say, almost for
six months now. It's something we probably need to delve
into at some point. Where in the world is Sarah Olmer?
Speaker 1 (00:41):
I've been looking at that for the last what six months?
It's same year, and I've been going, why does it
say we're in the world? Is Sarah Olmer? And why
haven't we worked that out by now? You know what
it is? Who asked the question?
Speaker 4 (00:52):
Now it's leading it.
Speaker 3 (00:53):
It came off the back of We're in the World
is too for law Evans childhood? Yes, and then we're
just sitting and someone else goes mister Olmen.
Speaker 1 (01:01):
So yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:01):
We probably won't solve that today, but I just wanted
to address it.
Speaker 1 (01:06):
Yeah. Can I write also and that segment where is
Jim Hackey? Oh that's great? Where as Jim Hackey?
Speaker 4 (01:13):
I know what happened. We did We're in the World
as twel or Evan Charlton. Then we were going to
do We're in the world as Murray Mixed did, and
he ghosted me and then ah Mixed just ghosted me.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
Okay, well can we can we find out with Jim Hackey? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (01:29):
Yeah, sure, could you hope it all right?
Speaker 1 (01:31):
There?
Speaker 3 (01:31):
It is actually put mixed head back on there?
Speaker 1 (01:33):
Yeah, okay, put mixed. Surely we can. Someone can find
Murray Mixed. Is that our mission?
Speaker 3 (01:38):
So I can find Murray Mixed?
Speaker 1 (01:39):
He please? Thank you?
Speaker 4 (01:40):
Who doesn't know Mary Mix?
Speaker 1 (01:44):
Do you know Sarah o?
Speaker 4 (01:46):
Jim hack Comburger, Well, no, that's not going to help.
Speaker 3 (01:55):
Okay, have you heard of Jeremy Well, we're.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
To find Marray mixter this morning surely this morning, Okay, this.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
Morning, Jerry and LENI the hold Ikey breakfast.
Speaker 1 (02:10):
I'll tell you what's going on. We're going to find
Murray Mixed this morning. And I mean who doesn't want
to find Mary? Look?
Speaker 3 (02:16):
Does Murray mix did want to be found? I guess
would be the other issue because you think he stepped
away from a life in the public eye to enjoy
his retirement. If someone of those where is yeah, get
around there and wake up?
Speaker 1 (02:27):
Would you? Who is? For people? Who was Murray mixid?
Marray Mix did played thirty tests for the All Blacks
thirty odd test number eight, one of the most handsome
All Blacks of all time at the time.
Speaker 3 (02:39):
The word dashing gets thrown around a bit.
Speaker 1 (02:41):
A lot of cool. A lot of people called him
the magnum p i of the All Blacks in the
in the early eighties, but at Tom Salek about him.
He ended up marrying Lorraine Downs. This is for you,
Lorraine Downs, Miss New Zealand, Miss Universe nineteen eighty three.
She was the only Miss Universe we've ever had.
Speaker 3 (02:58):
In New Zealand and the people's she could run.
Speaker 1 (03:01):
She was never Miss Universe, She was Miss New Zealand.
She went to Miss Universe, but she didn't win Miss Universe.
Speaker 3 (03:06):
It's not easy man.
Speaker 1 (03:08):
Also arrogant that we're running Miss Universe.
Speaker 5 (03:10):
I know it's this is the thing in the unit,
the best looking woman, Galaxy in the universe, Galaxy. Sure,
Universe a big place. I've seen Star Wars.
Speaker 1 (03:21):
Well, they had Missed World as well, but it was
never as good as Miss Universe.
Speaker 3 (03:25):
Well, how could it be that concept because obviously there
was the world before Miss Universe.
Speaker 1 (03:34):
Now he brought into it, but it was before that,
it was already gone. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (03:37):
I love that someone was sitting down and goes, it's
the hottest check in the world.
Speaker 1 (03:41):
And then they were like, let's launch the quest. Yeah.
And then they thought, let's launch the quest. Who's the
hottest check in the universe? But I came up with it? Yeah,
so married. Then he then divorced Lorraine Downs tragically tragically,
I don't know, divorced it tragically, I don't know. They
(04:02):
are not to give their Netflix seems to be probably
for the best.
Speaker 4 (04:05):
Well they're not, because then Lorraine Downs married Madame christ
That's right, Mary Mardon and one Dancing with the starts.
Speaker 3 (04:12):
Well, if Murray mixed it is out there. I hope
he's not listening to this, because then we're definitely not
getting him on the shows.
Speaker 1 (04:16):
Why but somebody?
Speaker 3 (04:17):
Because he said he tragically divorced his wife, which I
think is a serious element.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
Did I mean I mean serious? It was tragic for
their relationship. Yes, of course it was the end of it.
Was I mean it was I'm sure anyway happy? Yeah,
I guess that'll be our first question for a word.
Speaker 4 (04:32):
And then a commentator of note on Sky Sports on
the rugby, Yeah, used to say things that were a
little bit incriminating.
Speaker 1 (04:40):
Mary. Yeah, he knew the game though, Yeah. And did
he know the game?
Speaker 3 (04:47):
I believe? Was he one of the commentators on the
PlayStation games? I believe he was the commentator Murray mixed?
Speaker 1 (04:53):
Was he?
Speaker 4 (04:54):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (04:54):
I think so, not not John Olmu but the later
Rugby eight and five and there was he really thank
you well.
Speaker 1 (05:00):
I was enjoyed his commentary. I thought him and Nursebo
had great chemistry. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (05:04):
And I remember falling asleep on my grandparents couch as
a kid listening to them.
Speaker 1 (05:08):
It's just there's something about it.
Speaker 3 (05:09):
Whenever I hear him speak, I just start drifting off.
I feel so comfortable and relaxed and informed. And people
have been texting us on through three four eight three.
We're trying to track Mry Mixed down. Someone said, Marry
Mixed believe he lives behind or Money's Surf Club and
Mount Long and well, if you could get down there
and bang on his door.
Speaker 1 (05:28):
Get him up.
Speaker 3 (05:29):
And someone else said through dub dub dub dot is
anyone said dub dub dub in twenty.
Speaker 1 (05:34):
Twenty six dub dub You don't need to say that.
I don't think of it. No TTP is Yeah.
Speaker 3 (05:40):
Someone ticked her and said, https colin Ford slash forward
slash mixed here dot coded in zi Ford slash.
Speaker 1 (05:47):
You forgot the wwws God damn it.
Speaker 3 (05:50):
Idea Https colin Ford slash forward slash, dub dub dub
dot mixtre dot coded in z Ford slash.
Speaker 1 (05:59):
By the way, dub dub dub means w W, which.
Speaker 3 (06:02):
Is the Worldwide Web, and HTTP this is the high
pertex translation protocol.
Speaker 1 (06:07):
Well that slashes me slash and what other backslash.
Speaker 3 (06:13):
Anyway, if you go to that aforementioned website, it's mixeded
Motors where they have a runout deal on the care
serrender at the moment. Now, I don't know if that
is Murray and the Mixed heads or if it's a
different branch of the Mixed Did family.
Speaker 1 (06:27):
And the selling cars.
Speaker 3 (06:28):
Is he Murray potentially?
Speaker 1 (06:30):
Okay, he's seventy two. Okay, that's that's quite I mean
he retired.
Speaker 3 (06:36):
Its Mixed Motors of Wellington's longest serving family run car
dealership and they've been serving the Wellington region since twenty six.
Speaker 1 (06:42):
Well he did grow up in Wellington, he played played
for Wellington.
Speaker 4 (06:46):
Okay, I'm going to do something that I don't often
like to do. I'm going to play a bit of
audio for Mixeded Motors. That's an ad. Will it be
voiced by Murray? Mixed ed heaven checked.
Speaker 1 (06:56):
The future of driving has arrived, mixed doesn't have been
here and we're seeing the amazing eving you can go. Okay,
that was interesting. It was good research. So we're learning
some things already about Maurray. Max did this morning where
he may be some text comming.
Speaker 4 (07:09):
He might be in the.
Speaker 1 (07:10):
Mount Yes, he's been sighted there. I know he likes surfing, right,
I know that about Murray. I know he keeps himself
in good Nack ye, although the body at seventy two,
you'd think, and all of those tests that he played
for the All Blacks, Yeah, I think thirty eight or
maybe thirty eight games. Yeah, thirty four consecutive tests from
(07:31):
seventy nine to eighty five. Now that's impressive.
Speaker 3 (07:33):
He was a hard man, Yeah, hard bastard and that
takes a toll. At the other end, I think he
lives at the Sands and Takapunani. What's this, Texter? He
I found a review on mixedad Motors. Just brought a
secondhand car through Mark m at Mixtead. That's from Carl Wong.
So I don't think that's Murray unless his brother's name
(07:54):
is Mark. I don't know. I mean, look at this
six or fourteen in the morning. I don't know that
many people Marry's age will be up at this time.
Speaker 1 (08:03):
Maybe they're all up, but when you talk about they've
been up since five thirty.
Speaker 3 (08:07):
When they yeah, we'll keep your ears to the ground.
Speaker 1 (08:11):
Where's Maurray?
Speaker 2 (08:12):
Mixed Dead Jerry and Midnight the hold Ikey Breakfast.
Speaker 1 (08:16):
We are searching this morning for Marry mixed did.
Speaker 4 (08:18):
Formerly Seeking Murray.
Speaker 1 (08:20):
Former All Black and Rugby commentator it's not spoken. Why
are we Hey?
Speaker 3 (08:27):
Oh no, I was just written through the dock this morning.
At the top of the dock we had written Sarah.
We're in the world is Sarah Olmer And that's because
off the back of two law Evans Charlton who did
by the way, Evans, there's two of them, and we
found both of them and then we were The next
(08:47):
on the list was Murray Mixed Heap, but he blanked.
He ghosted Rhuda, and then Ruda decided, well that's at
the end of it, which is interesting because his current
wife also ghosted him when they first met, so.
Speaker 4 (08:59):
He didn't give up there did give us the number.
Speaker 1 (09:01):
It's interesting you've given up on Mixed. I mean, he's
not the first person to ghost Ruder in recent times.
No no, on this very show. No no, You've got
a bit of a I don't know what it is,
but yeah too, Keen, Yeah, yeah, but I hurt too much.
Speaker 3 (09:17):
There's another text through saying he actually doesn't live at
the Sands.
Speaker 1 (09:20):
That's married Deeker. Oh yeah, that's true. Married does live
at the Scends. Okay, that we're getting away from marry here. Yeah,
what about this dating app? Howdy have you seen that. Yeah,
well I just briefly see. I think Mary Mixed did
to be into this dating app. So it was created
by a twenty four year old farmer and university student
(09:41):
and it's got thirty thousand newses since launching in Australia
in March twenty twenty four. Thirty thousand users.
Speaker 3 (09:47):
It's a few, it sounds like quite how many are
tenders though she's on the phone to a tender match
she found Mary Mixed.
Speaker 4 (09:53):
She's there would be fairly amazing, liver.
Speaker 1 (09:57):
So it's about rural pople finding rural people.
Speaker 3 (10:01):
Ah, yes, this is great. This is better than the
Young Farmers Club that meet once once a month in
the in the local hall in the Morven town Hall.
But then we'll I don't know how does it work? Well,
why is it different than Tinder?
Speaker 1 (10:15):
So users can sit there radius locally or you can
expand it across New Zealand and Australia, so you can
you can go, you can go all the way across
the tasma and unlike how he is built around scrolling
rather than so you scroll rather than swipe.
Speaker 4 (10:32):
Yeah, so it's not about just looking at someone's picture
and going how hot you actually have to read their profile.
Speaker 1 (10:37):
You got to sit down and use use your skills
of reading.
Speaker 3 (10:40):
Oh what and loaran things about their personality.
Speaker 1 (10:44):
You're out. So they have partnered with Scalour up young farmers.
Speaker 3 (10:50):
Oh I was going to say that. Yeah, that that
makes sense.
Speaker 1 (10:54):
So you can get it on Apple and Google App Store.
So I guess the main thing is sopparently anyone who
signs up and this is like an head anyone who
signs up and June's going to get their thirty first
thirty days free and then you get a pay for it.
So do you got to travel? Like if you hook
up with someone from Australia, you've got to go over
to the outback or something.
Speaker 3 (11:12):
Yeah, you'd probably sit it a little bit closer for starters,
but it is hard if you I mean, because a
lot of farmers don't leave the farm for months on end.
And where are supposed to come across someone?
Speaker 1 (11:21):
Excuse me?
Speaker 3 (11:22):
Where are supposed to meet someone? And your local community.
The other thing is you're if you live in a
small community, you know them all already, you know what
I mean?
Speaker 1 (11:30):
And or you went to school with them? How does
that work?
Speaker 4 (11:36):
Is there anything like that for the mining community over
in Australia you have been a part of.
Speaker 3 (11:40):
Yeah, it's much more direct than the mining community. It's
an exchange of money in return for services and you
can find them.
Speaker 1 (11:46):
In the in the nevers there.
Speaker 3 (11:49):
Ron joins us on the line. Good morning, Ron, if
you get an update on Murray Mixed?
Speaker 6 (11:52):
Did I just thought i'd help with the search. He's
not in Palms Nor. I don't know if there's many
celebrities that reside in Pumps North, but I just thought
exclude that from your search.
Speaker 1 (12:05):
Yeah, thank you, Rong.
Speaker 3 (12:06):
Okay, so you've you've searched far and wide, you can
confirm Murray Mixed it's not in.
Speaker 6 (12:09):
PARMI sure, Yeah, I just know that there's no celebrities
that live here.
Speaker 1 (12:13):
To be fair, no, I like what you're doing the actually,
because if we just go, okay, I know that he
did run the Rugby Academy there for a while, is
that right, Ron?
Speaker 6 (12:21):
Well we did at the museum here.
Speaker 7 (12:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (12:23):
Yeah, I don't think I've ever been to be fair,
but yeah, there's the Rugby Museum here in perhaps and
I'll just shout out to party.
Speaker 3 (12:28):
Are you willing to exclude the wider mon or two?
Speaker 1 (12:31):
Region.
Speaker 6 (12:31):
Ron, I don't know if my feelings reach that far,
but look, we could we could do a sort of
great yes and so yeah.
Speaker 1 (12:40):
Okay, I mean I would say, yeah, I'd be willing
to extend it west of the Tata doors, but I
don't know. I'm not sure about anything else that's on
the east of the Hottle feneral Kapany region.
Speaker 8 (12:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (12:53):
And then I think you're looking over more into the
Widered Upper. I'm not sure whether he's there or not.
I wouldn't be surprised if he did. Little farmlet in
the Widered Upper Murray.
Speaker 6 (13:02):
Great towns, pretty pretty inviting charging here.
Speaker 1 (13:06):
Yeah, it is all right, thank you very much. Ron.
Speaker 3 (13:08):
Everything's a data point. Everything is the data point. So
we're going to cross the well. I think we're going
to cross the wider mon or too off, aren't we?
Speaker 1 (13:14):
Yeah? I think so, Yep, I think we can do that.
Does he visit there? That's the question. I'd say, you
would visit? Give you now? I mean, has he still
got a role with the with the Ruggy Academy. We're
in the world as Murray nextead. Someone must have seen him.
Speaker 3 (13:31):
Or or can you rule a region out that's also helpful.
Speaker 2 (13:36):
Jerry and the Night the Hoarchy.
Speaker 1 (13:39):
Breakfast time for your latest sport headlines thanks to Export
Ultra the bear for here. The black Caps continue to
mull over there, playing eleven for the first cricket Test
against England at Lord's the Mullen. They mullen the mullin up.
While their hosts have got closer to confirming theirs came.
Williamson says, as far as he knows, they have not
settled on their squad for the match starting on Tuesdays.
Speaker 3 (14:00):
A lie, that's a lie. That's what you say when
someone asks you about something you.
Speaker 1 (14:04):
Know about and you don't want to tell people.
Speaker 3 (14:05):
Oh no, as far as I'm concerned, As far as
I'm aware, nothing going on, you know.
Speaker 1 (14:09):
Okay, England could have two debutants and their team opening
batsman Emelio Gay and past bowler Sunny Baker surviving the
culture twelve. Yeah, so there's only twelve people in this squad.
Speaker 3 (14:19):
That's is that?
Speaker 1 (14:20):
That's normal? Is it? Yeah?
Speaker 6 (14:22):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (14:22):
I thought they I suppose they're at home. They can
just call people them from wherever.
Speaker 1 (14:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (14:25):
I saw Lucky Fergus at the gym. I said, I
go quite often due yeah, squats.
Speaker 1 (14:30):
He is quite squatt.
Speaker 3 (14:31):
I would say he's not as tall as you would
think one hundred and fifty.
Speaker 1 (14:34):
K bowler would be doing squats. I was he doing SWAT's?
Speaker 2 (14:38):
No?
Speaker 1 (14:38):
I was though, how are you? Yeah? That's whatever. We're
talking to Devin Conway. By the way, it's seven forty.
What can he squat? So Christian? We'll ask him. One
of the NRL's worst cap secrets is out. Connor Watson
officially signed on to join Papua New Guinea in twenty
twenty eight.
Speaker 3 (14:56):
I don't I mean, look respectfully, respectfully, great player, goat
origin level play, representative player.
Speaker 1 (15:02):
I don't think anyone was that sort of.
Speaker 3 (15:05):
It's at the ground on Connor Watson's contract situation in
two years from now, respectfully.
Speaker 1 (15:10):
The Sydney Roosters and New South Wales rep will play
for the Dragons next year before moving to P and
G when it launches. England International and Saint helens Ford.
Maddie Lees has also signed.
Speaker 3 (15:22):
On to Madi Lee's. I don't know, Maddi Lee's now.
Speaker 4 (15:25):
Seems like a pop stuff in the nineties, Meddi Lee's.
Speaker 3 (15:27):
Maddie Lee's sounds like he's one of those comedians who'ld
be on like a Jimmy Cars show, you know, please
welcome Richard Iowadi and Maddie Lee's.
Speaker 1 (15:35):
And Ben O'Keeffe will take charge of the opening game
of the Super Rugby playoffs. Must be a Weddnesday, because
we've got administrative news for sports. O'Keefe will have the
whistle for the Hurricanes and Brumby's match on Friday, and
the Capitol with Australian Neck Berry in charge of the
Crusaders and Blues. Who cares. James Dolman will control the
Chiefs and Reads and Hamilton and said, going on, we're
(15:58):
all about who's thing the game?
Speaker 3 (16:01):
No, that changes everything? Then that's changed my pecks this week.
And I didn't know James Dolman's going to have the
whistle and the Chiefs Reds game in Hamilton.
Speaker 1 (16:07):
The dole Man, the doll Man.
Speaker 3 (16:09):
The bludger they call.
Speaker 1 (16:12):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (16:12):
The blood is going to be on the bloody what'stle
for that one? That's going to change everything?
Speaker 1 (16:18):
Why do you find that so interesting?
Speaker 4 (16:20):
It's interesting in New Zealand is taking charge of a
Australia versus New Zealand Super Rugby game. Actually, Jerry, what
wit that interesting? Is maybe a favor of the chiefs,
which is interesting to me.
Speaker 3 (16:30):
And if you thought that was boring, we're talking about
walking up next.
Speaker 2 (16:33):
Jerry andman night the hot I keep Breakfast.
Speaker 3 (16:37):
I want to discuss walking etiquette, fellas, and we've discussed
this on.
Speaker 1 (16:39):
The show before.
Speaker 3 (16:41):
The thing I wanted to know last year was do
we have a side of the walkway or the footpath
or the sidewalk that we are supposed to walk on?
You know, and when you go into the overseas, particularly
in places I think Japan does a good job of this,
and in Europe they all walk on the right. You're
on the right hand side, you know. If you're on
the footpath, you walk on the.
Speaker 1 (17:00):
Right, same side as you drive, side as you drive. Yeah,
Japan does an interesting one where they have cyclists on
the foot path too, oh okay, And the cyclist's job
is to avoid the pedestrians, and the pedestrians job is
to avoid the cyclists very respectful.
Speaker 3 (17:18):
Here in New Zealand, we're just like wherever the hell
you want to walk, and so there's a lot of
like sorry, where you going?
Speaker 1 (17:24):
That one really annoys me. Yeah, the problem is is
not enough pedestrians sometimes go over, says I remember once
being over in the UK at Christmas time and such
was the crazy amount of in the middle of London,
and the foot traffic was so intense with Christmas shopping
(17:44):
that you actually had to stay on the left. It
was on the left and walking. And as in New Zealand,
I wasn't used to that. I was. I was like,
it was like swimming down a river, but there were
animal carcasses coming at you the whole time. But yeah,
everyone sticks to their lane and that's a true if
to otherwise you won't move.
Speaker 3 (18:03):
Yeah, no day as big un as you're here. So
as we said, Rutter's bend on this walkway that's opened
up around the corner from me. And I've noticed a
thing that's happening that I drive me insane, probably the
only person. That's probably an unrelatable chat. But we're walking
along and someone's in front of you, they're walking in
the same direction as you, and then they stop for
whatever reason. In this instance, it was a woman pushing
(18:26):
a pram. There's three people, I think a couple, their
two kids, and then one of their mothers. So it's
three generations of the family beautiful site. They were walking
along and then for whatever reason, they stopped to adjust
the baby or something. Then they turn around they see
that I'm catching up to them, They freak out, and
then they start walking again, and now we're all just
walking together. So it's me, Mum, dad, the kids, nana right.
Speaker 1 (18:49):
Well, were they trying to avoid a nose to tail?
Speaker 3 (18:51):
Yes, I think they were.
Speaker 1 (18:52):
So they were worried that you, your momentum, was just
going to keep going.
Speaker 3 (18:56):
So they looked up they saw me and got spoked
and just started walking. Now I'm in the herd with
them and just all five of us are walking together.
Then one of them gets the phone out starts filming
the baby, and I'm in the back of this video
like looking at them like the endangered west Auckland. Yetty
in the background of their beautiful family.
Speaker 1 (19:15):
You're not filming the baby as well. No, I should
have taken your phone out and cute baby and started
to film the baby.
Speaker 3 (19:20):
Well maybe I should have, because now I worry that
this footage of me circulating the internet, the dark web
where it's just me and someone's family, you know, next
to pop up on the community Facebook page. But does
anyone know this man he's walking alongside our baby.
Speaker 1 (19:35):
Yeah. Well, I think in that situation it's your responsibility
as the as the tail walker to stop as well
to that no, to speed up. I agree, God, yeah,
both of you have a duty of care in that
situation too. One needs to speed up, one needs to
stew do you can't both continue at the same pace, because,
as you said, otherwise you do become part of that party.
Speaker 3 (19:55):
I agree. It's happening to me almost every time now,
but it's because people aren't thinking. They just see you
get spooked and they start walking. It happened the other
day one solitary female and then I was walking along.
She stopped. She was on the phone, she stopped, she
saw me. She's like, oh sorry, she starts walking. Now
we're just walking side by side of my What are
we supposed to hold hands or how does this work?
Speaker 1 (20:15):
This is happening to you a lot. I know this
is saying this. I mean, this hasn't happened to me
for I don't know. I mean, it's happened to me
before once or twice maybe in my life. But this
is happening to you on almost a daily basis. Maybe
people just want to hook up with you. Have you
considered that considered a length?
Speaker 2 (20:32):
Jerry and manaia the Hodarchy Breakfast.
Speaker 9 (20:36):
Jerry and Mania joined the conflate the Hodaki Breakfast discussion
group on Facebook for.
Speaker 1 (20:41):
Looking for Murray Mixed this morning. Where in the world
as Murray Mixed did.
Speaker 3 (20:44):
Yes, So I just want to give a quick update
on some of the places he ain't confirming. Murray Mixed
is not in my twenty nineteen Subaru and Presa on
my way to work on the Southern Motorway this morning,
Mixed did motors? Is Murray's family business? Pretty sure he's
not involved anymore? FYI he's not on with talk.
Speaker 4 (21:00):
A few reports of that.
Speaker 3 (21:01):
My ex's sister's husband was a mixed dead. His family
live in Katikatsi. They were related to Murray, but not sure.
Speaker 1 (21:07):
How is that a lame came to fame.
Speaker 3 (21:08):
I think, sir, he doesn't live at the Sands. That's
Murray Deecer Murray MIXEDAD. I believe he lives behind the
Oor Money's surf clubs.
Speaker 1 (21:16):
So Murray's confused. Very different people married Deeker and Murray Mixedad.
Speaker 3 (21:20):
For goodness sake, look all Murray's look the same to you,
That's what I would ask.
Speaker 1 (21:23):
So it's a bit of Murray.
Speaker 3 (21:24):
Racism on a Wednesday morning, but we are We've launched
a campaign this morning try and find where in the
world is Murray mixed head. If you have found him.
If you know where he is, get in touch on
three four eight three. Equally, if you know where he's not,
if you can eliminate your suburb or region. We've already
scrubbed out one or two most of Auckland and then
parts of the hot of Feno Carpadi region, so we're
(21:47):
not sure about white it up. But if you can
either tell us where he is or by process of
elimination where he's not, then get in touch.
Speaker 1 (21:54):
And if you don't know who he is, he was
a thirty eight test All Black veteran, played number eight
nineteen seventy nine to nineteen eighty five. He looked like
Tom Selleck, very handsome, married Lorraine Downs, who was Miss
Universe nineteen eighty three.
Speaker 3 (22:07):
Yeah, and I know him as the voice of rugby
through my childhood.
Speaker 1 (22:12):
Is a great commentator, commentator of note.
Speaker 3 (22:15):
So yeah, if you want to know where is our
glenn'stick through he wasn't at the rippers last night, so
we can great point, kick Glenn, if you could confirm
which rippers you're at.
Speaker 1 (22:25):
Yeah. Marray Mixter's greatest line, I believe was during the
commentary when he said Paul Tito looked like a bland
blind man and a brothel just left groping. I mean,
that was one of many greats from Murray mixed He's
not at the mungoony poopons. Oh that's good to.
Speaker 2 (22:42):
Know, Jerry EDMUNDI the hold Ikey breakfast.
Speaker 1 (22:46):
You don't want to win millions and millions of dollars,
don't listen to the next three minutes of radio on
this particular show.
Speaker 3 (22:53):
Yeah, turn out now if you if you hate making
wife changing money, then churn out now from this raight
air station right now, because everything could change for you
in the next couple of minutes.
Speaker 1 (23:04):
Yeah, I've seen this algo that you've been running. Hum
and I so you reckon you have hacked lotto?
Speaker 3 (23:09):
Oh no, well rud has found these I don't. I
generally my gambling happens in pubs.
Speaker 1 (23:16):
Okay, okay, So Rudy, you reckon you have heck lotto?
Speaker 4 (23:20):
Yeah, I went deep I think what I did last
night was I googled something along the lines of most
drawn a lot of numbers of all time, and it
brought up a wonderful spreadsheet. It took me right through
Daily Keino, it took me through Strike and then there
was one part of the spreadsheet that was most drawn
powerball of all time. And of course there's only ten
of those most drawn powerballs as number one.
Speaker 3 (23:43):
Interesting, Okay, hang on, it goes one, two, three, five, Yeah,
so eight, so don't do four and I are in there, four, seven, ten, nine.
I don't really know how powerball works. You just pick
one of those.
Speaker 4 (23:56):
Yes, So it's kind of like you get your six
numbers and then the bonus ball, and then you're powerball.
And what you want to try and do is get
all six numbers and the powerball, and that would knit
you what twenty half million dollars. Yeah, tonight, let's get away.
Speaker 1 (24:12):
Let's go. Let's go back to the most drawn numbers,
because also one might be the most drawn powerball number.
It's also guess what the most winning number in your
standard lotto drawer as well.
Speaker 3 (24:27):
Yeah, just pips the number twelve and then, interestingly, unlucky
for something. Thirteen is the third most drawn lotto number.
So whenever it's jackpotted in the past, you know, to
these staggering amounts of money, what is it, twenty.
Speaker 4 (24:42):
Eight million dollars.
Speaker 3 (24:44):
We've done a syndicate in the past, hasn't paid off yet.
But now we've got a science backed syndicate where we
have found the the winning lotto numbers and then well
we're going to buy a ticket.
Speaker 4 (24:58):
Absolutely, yeah, totally.
Speaker 1 (25:00):
So one twelve thirteen, twenty two, nineteen ten, twenty four. Yeah,
is that the right amount? I don't even know. No,
I don't know. I know about life.
Speaker 3 (25:10):
I've never bought a lot of life number.
Speaker 4 (25:13):
You go to number ten. There you go one twelve thirteen,
twenty two, nineteen and ten, and then we would go
the powerball as one. Okay, okay, so.
Speaker 1 (25:22):
Just feel the powerball as one. There's just a it's
a bit of a it's a bit of a squib,
it is.
Speaker 4 (25:27):
But the numbers and the statistics suggest that the powerball
is one is the one we should be picking.
Speaker 1 (25:32):
That's right. Ruders crunch the numbers there, yeah, but.
Speaker 4 (25:33):
It's the number.
Speaker 1 (25:34):
And now I'm just starting to get Christion numbers. No
I haven't crunched number. You haven't crunched number. I haven't
grun to numbers. But I'm just starting to question maybe
because one has been picked the most, maybe there's less likely.
Maybe we go with the least picked. Well, that doesn't
make any sense at all. Well, because they've got more
chance of being of rising.
Speaker 3 (25:53):
This is the gambler's fallacy. So you've it's been read
three times in a row. You go, well, it has
to be black on the next one. No, it's still
a fifty to fifty chance. I think we stick with
Rutter's prediction here. It's the largest it's the largest powerful
prize on off of this year, largest prize on office
since a new Plymouth woman took home fourteen point three
million dollars in April.
Speaker 1 (26:14):
One.
Speaker 3 (26:14):
In thirty eight point three million chants to win first
division per line, regardless of the amount the set for
the jackpot, until we did this research, and now you've got.
Speaker 1 (26:22):
A one hundred percent chance. Yeah, what about poor our
number thirty seven, the least, the least, the least picked poor.
Speaker 3 (26:29):
Yeah, oh, tied with thirty six. So there's something going on.
Do they pull them into the hopper in hop in order.
Speaker 1 (26:37):
That is what it is.
Speaker 3 (26:39):
That's a hopper, in't it?
Speaker 1 (26:40):
How do you describe that machine? That's a good Do
they pull them into the hobbit? I know that, I
know because it's it's drawing on a Wednesday, and I
often see the LOTO people because they turn up on
a Wednesday just at the same time as I'm leaving
TV's head. And there's a lot of secrecy. Yeah yeah,
and when is say secrecy not so secret, But there's
(27:00):
a lot of control around the draw and there's a
lot of people who have to be hanging around, and
scrutiny is other scrutinis. There's scrutiny.
Speaker 3 (27:09):
So when you're poking your head through the curtain and going, yeah,
what do you guys got?
Speaker 1 (27:13):
Yeah? No, they tell me to bag her off.
Speaker 3 (27:15):
I have asked Sonya Gray for the winning a lot
of numbers before.
Speaker 1 (27:19):
Turns out she hates Yeah, he would have thought that
she gets asked.
Speaker 3 (27:22):
She doesn't love that.
Speaker 4 (27:23):
Can I make a suggestion that we do one line
of the most drawn numbers, one line of the least
drawn numbers, and then do we make a syndicate with
the listener?
Speaker 1 (27:33):
Yep, yep, I like that. How many people in the syndicate.
Welcome to an on air Braine. Seven.
Speaker 4 (27:40):
Well, if we're keeping it strictly off on air and
not involving us, then it would need to be seven.
Speaker 1 (27:46):
Okay, seven, Okay, I mean I don't know why seven,
but yeah, because you.
Speaker 4 (27:50):
Need six and a power. You need six people for
the line and a power. Okay, so we need to hang.
Speaker 3 (27:56):
Couldn't we put any number we want?
Speaker 1 (27:58):
Well, but this is the listeners and oh okay, got it.
So if you want to be part of it, oh,
eight hundred hodach, you give us a for your.
Speaker 3 (28:04):
Now, if you can explain what just happened that, give
us a call now hundred od ok But yeah, if
you want wife changing money, give us a call now
hundred hodeck.
Speaker 2 (28:10):
If you want to win twenty eight million jury in
the nine the hold, I keep breakfast.
Speaker 1 (28:16):
So I've hacked lotto. Ruter's been crunching some numbers. He
loves crunching numbers, Ruder, and he's worked out the most
drawn lotto numbers one, twelve, thirteen, twenty two, nineteen, and
ten with the powerball number one used to be called
the bonus number.
Speaker 4 (28:32):
Well, I still do have the bonus number.
Speaker 1 (28:34):
That's what's the bonus number.
Speaker 4 (28:35):
So the bonus number.
Speaker 3 (28:36):
Others though I know Sunday you need a bonus number.
Speaker 4 (28:39):
As well, NOE eight so you need six yep and
a powerball O perfect. But the boness you lost me,
all right, Okay, don't worry about the bonus number.
Speaker 1 (28:47):
Twenty eight million, eight hundred hedech here eight hundred and
four to eight seventy five. If you want to be
part of our our award winning is twenty eight million
dollar winning Cinder Kids.
Speaker 3 (28:55):
And I think if we've proven anything over the last
sort of five minutes of radios that we understand how
the works and were other people that can get you
across the line. Now, don't call if you don't want
to make life changing money and indeed wife changing money,
because this phone call could change everything for you, all right,
So I just want to make sure that you're aware
of that before you call us.
Speaker 1 (29:15):
Yeah, Brad is on the line now, morning, Brad, good morning.
You want to make wife changing money.
Speaker 10 (29:22):
I sure do. I am a very lean I've come
back from the dead a couple of times. I've got
a wife who takes me from near dead. So I'll
kick that wife. I won't change her up. I bring
a lot of luck.
Speaker 3 (29:37):
Don't make any promises just yet. We'll check in with
you after the win. But congratulations, Brad, we're going to
put you in the drawer. Well, you're in the syndicates,
the draw you're wine. Congratulations, you're a millionaire.
Speaker 1 (29:46):
He's in our syndicate. John from Marterton.
Speaker 6 (29:48):
Morning, Morning, fellas, So are we.
Speaker 1 (29:52):
They call you good vibes, John.
Speaker 6 (29:54):
No, they call me Bog, But yep, good god Bog.
Speaker 1 (29:58):
It says here you're a driller. You do any drilling
off shore?
Speaker 6 (30:02):
Not yet?
Speaker 8 (30:03):
I actually have in the Wellington Harbor.
Speaker 6 (30:04):
Actually that counts, right, that definitely counts.
Speaker 3 (30:06):
That definitely counts. All right, your life is about to change, Bog. Congratulations,
cheers fellows.
Speaker 1 (30:13):
Jack from Auckland, Morning Jack, Morning boys.
Speaker 6 (30:16):
How's the going Jack?
Speaker 3 (30:17):
Can we get good financial advice around you?
Speaker 1 (30:19):

Speaker 6 (30:21):
Ah, Well, looked at one way flight to Europe and
I'm kind of stay over there for as long as possible.
Speaker 1 (30:27):
That make you able to buy a whole city over
there and like Bulgaria or something.
Speaker 3 (30:30):
But all right, Jack, I would advise you to get
some good financial advisors around you. And you're in a
circle because your life's about to change. Congratulations, Thank you boys.
Speaker 1 (30:39):

it to be up edmind manager for our syndicate?
Speaker 10 (30:53):
I would love to.
Speaker 1 (30:54):
I presume you heard our edmund Could you poke any.
Speaker 3 (30:56):
Holes in that?
Speaker 2 (30:58):

Speaker 3 (30:58):
I think that's pretty good. Bad sound, pretty sound? Okay,
Thank you very much, Sandy Uton. Congratulations about you a millionaire?
Speaker 6 (31:05):
Awesome, Thank you guys.
Speaker 1 (31:07):
Pleasure Sandy. I like how I like the people in
our syndicate so far. Good people, have a good syndicate.
Mike has just texted or Gramps as he's known, Hey, lads,
please may I join your lotto syndicate? So I'm sick
of being poor? Love from Gramps. Yeah, okay, so chuck
Gramps on the in there as well.
Speaker 3 (31:22):
Yep, Gramps here in all right? Is that our syndicate's
syndicate it up? Does someone write that down?
Speaker 1 (31:27):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (31:27):
I think so. Are we in the syndicate as well?
Are we spilling it nine ways with us three and
Z or is it just those five people?
Speaker 6 (31:32):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (31:32):
Mate, We're in the syndica.
Speaker 3 (31:33):
Okay, we sendicated congratulations to everyone has just made millions
of dollars this morning on the Hidacky Breakfast.
Speaker 2 (31:40):
Jerry and Mian Night the Huriarchy Breakfast.
Speaker 1 (31:43):
Here on the text machine three four eight three, someone
has text and said that you should rename the segment
it's a shamozzle rather than it's academic.
Speaker 3 (31:51):
Well, let's go to line three. Then, good morning, darky,
he'll be speaking to you.
Speaker 7 (31:55):
Good morning.
Speaker 3 (31:55):
I'm said, welcome to it's a shamozzle.
Speaker 6 (32:00):
Okay, I'm not actually fully sure.
Speaker 1 (32:03):
So what's that? Sorry, you're not sure how it works? No,
neither is good. Neither is Jerry. All that will happen
is we'll ask you five questions. You've just got to
get three. Career, You've got forty five seconds. And if
you get that those three questions, Creek, then your school,
which you're going to tell us what school you went to?
(32:24):
In a moment, your high school will end up on
the much vaunted role of honor for its academic alongside
these establishments. I have not catacolt Field culture. So did
you hear your school there?
Speaker 7 (32:44):
No?
Speaker 1 (32:44):
I think the only school I heard was manually maybe, Okay,
what school did you go to? What high school?
Speaker 9 (32:51):
High school?
Speaker 1 (32:52):
And Christ it's not on there.
Speaker 3 (32:54):
No. No, if any famous people come out of that school, Shade.
Speaker 1 (32:59):
No, not that I know, not yet, Yeah, but someone way.
Speaker 3 (33:05):
You are well on your way, all right. All you
need to do is answer three questions.
Speaker 1 (33:08):
Correct? Are you ready to go?
Speaker 11 (33:09):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (33:10):
Question one for Shane from Papinoi High. Who is the
oldest surviving member of the Beatles? Oh?
Speaker 8 (33:16):
God, John Lennon is he? You know?
Speaker 1 (33:20):
He's not surviving? Star who captain the All Blacks when
they won the twenty fifteen Rugby World Cup, Chycury, who
hosted the New Zealand version of Will of Fortune in
the early nineteen nineties. Who hosted it? Yeah, it's for Leishman,
(33:42):
who had the hit nineteen ninety seven song getting Jiggy
with It? No, I don't know Will Smith. Finally, which
prominent statesman features on the New Zealand fifty dollars? Note?
Speaker 3 (33:57):
What's prominent?
Speaker 9 (33:58):
What size it's up at?
Speaker 1 (34:01):
Ringo?
Speaker 3 (34:02):
Star was the oldest member Philishman? Will Smith? Unfortunately you
were unsuccessful this time round, Shade. You won't be going
on to the it's academic roll of No.
Speaker 1 (34:10):
And I think that's okay.
Speaker 3 (34:11):
That's right, thank you.
Speaker 1 (34:12):
That's Okay, thanks for playing. I think those questions as
well if you were probably under the age of thirty
A lot of under thirty five. Yeah, a lot of
those questions will be very difficult, ruder, very difficult.
Speaker 3 (34:24):
Can also just give a shout out to the vigor
with which you click the correct or incorrect button. It's
a it's a real it's a real display.
Speaker 1 (34:32):
Yeah, there's a flourished there where you could say liberati.
Speaker 2 (34:36):
Because Jerry and Leni the Darchy Breakfast.
Speaker 9 (34:41):
Daily bespoke content that you won't find on the radio
show The Herdarchy Breakfast Podcast.
Speaker 1 (34:46):
So the Black Caps are in London getting ready to
take on England at the home of cricket, the first
test of three tests. It all kicks off ten pm
tomorrow night, New Zealand time, and right now we cross
live to London, where Devin Conway is on the line.
Thank thank you so much for your time. Devan. You're
a man who scored a double century at Lord's. Clearly
some good memories going into this tears. How much is
(35:09):
that a part of how you prepare, like looking back
to those good moments.
Speaker 7 (35:13):
Yeah, good morning guys, Yeah, super exciting times. Obviously very
exciting to play at the home of cricket at Lord's again.
It's great to have that opportunity. But yeah, looking back,
when was it twenty one when I made my debut,
obviously find memories of playing there, and you know, every
now and then just trying to look at some of
the highlights to see what went well on that day
and you know, hopefully try and replicate that in a
(35:35):
couple of days time.
Speaker 3 (35:36):
I just well, we heard you just before saying I'll
be right back in Fellas. Apparently you're out for dinner.
Are you out there with the with the team? What
do he goes up to?
Speaker 7 (35:44):
Yeah, I'm just for a couple of the guys having dinner, myself,
Rchen and Nathan Smith. Yeah, we're just gone, you know,
somewhere local, somewhere close by, just to grab a quick
bite to eat and just try and distress for a
few big days coming up.
Speaker 1 (35:56):
So when you were sitting around having dinner with the guys,
do you talk about lindseed oil and what type of
lindseed oil? You linseed oil, your bats Worth? Do you
talk about the Joke bulversus the Koker barough? Do you
talk about the slope and how you going to negate
the slope at Lord's.
Speaker 7 (36:14):
No, not necessarily. I think we try and get as
far where as we can from cricket. But I think
we're rutching every now and then, like's talking about things
around bats, so we're just sort of trying to remind him. Hey, bro, like,
the game's only starting in a couple of days times,
so let's worry about that on Thursday when it happens.
Speaker 3 (36:28):
Yeah, what about if Glenn Phillips is out with you
for dinner? We're talking Jim stats. What's he benching these days?
Speaker 4 (36:33):
Oh?
Speaker 7 (36:33):
Jeeves? I saw him today for the first time since
he's been back from the IPL, and he's looking pretty strong.
I'd say he's probably benching one hundred and seventy five cages.
Speaker 1 (36:43):
He's getting there.
Speaker 7 (36:44):
Yeah, thanks, it's his PB stuff, so I'm certainly out
of our leagues.
Speaker 3 (36:48):
Is it possible to be two jack as a cricket player.
Speaker 7 (36:50):
I actually think he's beyond that point, to be honest.
He's looking very strong, so I'll look forward to watching
him bold just to see what he's like getting through
his action so big.
Speaker 1 (37:00):
Yeah. So in terms of betting and gym work, are
they working on rests. Do you do any wrist press?
Speaker 7 (37:08):
No, that's not in our current program, but maybe something
to consider as about, you know, getting strong risks might
be helpful with trying to hit the ball.
Speaker 1 (37:16):
Heard something to look and do.
Speaker 3 (37:17):
I think casual fans of the game may not be
aware that you guys basically can't do anything while the
game's on. You can't have your phones, you can't do
much in the changing roads.
Speaker 1 (37:25):
What do you do?
Speaker 3 (37:25):
Does anyone get on the guitar? Do you guys play cards?
How do you pass the time?
Speaker 8 (37:29):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (37:29):
Sometimes it does get a little bit boring, especially during
rain breaks. We're expecting a little bit of rain on
day one apparently, so I think in the past we've
sometimes played like Monopoly deal or the guys just try
and utilize their time to get some rest. They just
try and get horizontal or relax the legs and just
you know, chill out as much as you possibly can.
Speaker 1 (37:48):
It's a good place though. I imagine the Lord's changing sheds,
et cetera. Like they do a good lunch there, they
do they do?
Speaker 7 (37:56):
You know, I think the last couple of days having
the Lord's lunch is just a great mind of how
good the food is there. So yeah, I found myself
sort of taking photos of the last two lunches, which
has been spectacular.
Speaker 3 (38:06):
You get a tweet before you eight What kind of
stuff do they do they serve up there?
Speaker 1 (38:09):
Is it like a roast or how does that work?
Speaker 7 (38:11):
Quite healthy stuff generally. I think the first day we
had lasagna which was unbelievable, with the side of veggies,
some salad too, guylic rolls that was unbelievable. There was desserts.
We had sorbet ice creams. We had yogurt with berries
which was really nice. And then today we had a
fantastic lunch. We had chicken with some sup potatoes on
(38:34):
the side, some broccolini with the like mushroom rosida, which
was outstanding.
Speaker 1 (38:41):
Stop it.
Speaker 7 (38:42):
Oh wow, pretty spectacularly fine dining stuff.
Speaker 1 (38:46):
Yeah wow. I'm always amazed watching lords and the dudes
from the MCC who's sitting there and there and their
ties in their blazers post lunch. Obviously they've maybe had
a couple of sherries over lunch and stuff, and then
they sit in those seats you gotta walk pass them,
and they're often sleeping.
Speaker 7 (39:03):
Yeah, yeah, I mean that is common, no doubt but
one thing that's pretty cool is like as the day
goes on, you said, start hearing the crowd getting a
little bit more rowdy as the drinks are flowing throughout
the day.
Speaker 1 (39:14):
Yeah, hey, Devin, thank you so much for your time.
Looking forward to watching you guys play on Thursday night
our time. Best of luck for the game, go well, guys.
Speaker 7 (39:23):
Thanks a lot, appreciate it just goes.
Speaker 2 (39:26):
Jerry and Mini the hold ikey breakfast.
Speaker 1 (39:29):
It's received a text a few years ago congratulations, thank you,
and it perplexed me. And then about a year later
I received another text and then this is all going
back about three days. Popular every six months I receive
now texts from the team at kvitz on a tear
(39:51):
and it says the text is the same thing pretty
much every time. Hi Stephen, So I'm not Steven.
Speaker 3 (39:58):
Hang on, your name's Jeremy.
Speaker 1 (40:00):
Now I know, Hi Stephen. A friendly reminded to let
you know that Meg is due for an annual health
check and vaccination.
Speaker 3 (40:09):
Okay, so do you reckon Meg? Stephen's wife?
Speaker 1 (40:12):
This is the thing, would it be? I then text
back who is Meg? And I receive nothing back.
Speaker 3 (40:22):
This is one of those automated ones that's come out
from the system. And so this is the reason why
it keeps happening, because you've texted them back, but it
just goes to a text machine. It's like when people
text us back on the text machine.
Speaker 1 (40:33):
Well then I got a text saying that payment is due.
How much do I don't know? It doesn't say, but
apparently this was on June twenty fourth. Last year. Payment
was jue. I was have a consultation.
Speaker 3 (40:46):
Yeah, that's because the consultation would have been, like it
is scheduled again this year for the fifth of Juri,
which is actually on Friday. So you've been to get
onto this because Vet's time is precious.
Speaker 1 (40:58):
Well that's the thing. I don't know why livid.
Speaker 3 (41:01):
Inly last year it did happen. They did get meg
to the to the check up.
Speaker 1 (41:05):
Well clearly because I'm mean, I've been bailed for this. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (41:09):
This reminds me of when you've got a library bill
for a million dollars.
Speaker 1 (41:12):
Yeah sexually sorry eight million? Oh sorry, how dear? Eight
million dollars? Yeah, well contested. I was quite shocked, actually,
so I did contest it, and I called the library
and I said, look, I've been build for something here.
I'm not sure how this is going. And the person said, oh, yes, okay,
I'll put you through to the to the fines area.
So they put me through the fines person. I said, look,
(41:34):
I've been balled for a book which is overdue, and
they said, oh, ye okay, and I said it and
I said what the book was, and then they said,
oh yeah, it was not mine, Kim. And then they said, ah, yeah, okay.
And I said, the bill seems to be I'm not
sure if it's correct, but it seems to be eight million,
three hundred and seventy two thousand, nine hundred and twenty
(41:57):
one dollars and forty two cents.
Speaker 3 (41:59):
Had they heard of you, because surely if there's a
if there's a bell out there for eight million dollars,
that would have been like here he is the guy.
Speaker 1 (42:06):
I said, this book seems a little expensive, and the
woman said, let me just check that, and she goes, no,
I think there has been a mistake. There's a lot,
but I'm just kind of thinking, let's put an end
to this. I think we need to put an end
to this, to these texts, because they have been going
on there for three years.
Speaker 3 (42:22):
You don't deserve this.
Speaker 1 (42:23):
Man, Well, this is the thing. Should we call the
let's call them care Vets. Should we call the team
at care Vets. I think we're gonna have to do.
I go by the name of Stephen.
Speaker 8 (42:38):
How can I help?
Speaker 1 (42:39):
Hi? There, it's Stephen here. I was just ringing to
let you know that Meg is not my animal.
Speaker 8 (42:51):
Oh you got a remainder.
Speaker 1 (42:54):
Yes, I've got a reminder for Meg's annual health check
and vaccination.
Speaker 8 (42:59):
Ah, okay, let me let me check. What's what's the.
Speaker 1 (43:10):
M E G. Meg? And my name is Stephen.
Speaker 8 (43:15):
What's your surname?
Speaker 1 (43:16):
I'm not sure.
Speaker 2 (43:24):
Which.
Speaker 8 (43:24):
Do you have an account with us at all?
Speaker 1 (43:26):
I'm not sure. I've been told to pay an account
a couple of times. But I don't have an animal
called Meg.
Speaker 8 (43:33):
Oh? Do you have any other animals?
Speaker 1 (43:36):
Yes?
Speaker 8 (43:36):
By any change, I do.
Speaker 1 (43:37):
I got a dog called Yoko Yo. Yeah, k, but
we don't. Yoko doesn't go to your vits.
Speaker 8 (43:44):
Okay, But what's your surname? You think it's just to
see if it's link to you.
Speaker 1 (43:51):
Well, no, I don't. It's just coming through High Steve.
That the link said High Stephen, a friendly reminded to
let you know that Meg is due for an annual
chill check and vaccination on the fifth of the Sex six,
please call the team to discuss. And I was just like, well,
I don't have my name's not Stephen, and b I
don't have a animal called Meg. I don't even know
(44:13):
if Mega is a dog or a cat or a
getting paid?
Speaker 8 (44:16):
Are you getting there on your own text message?
Speaker 1 (44:17):
Yeah?
Speaker 8 (44:18):
Okay, Can I get you your phone number so I
can see why you're getting there?
Speaker 1 (44:22):
Yeah? Sure, yep O to one. But the one, yep,
yep six.
Speaker 2 (44:38):
We'll do that off here, Jerry in the night the
Hoarchy Breakfast where Murray Mixed Dead isn't yet And I.
Speaker 1 (44:47):
Oh, we've worked out a few places. Murray Mixed head isn't.
Speaker 3 (44:50):
A text threw on an adjacent note from Wayne Brown. Right, yeah,
Wayne Brown, welcome there, Wayne Brown. Text reads why are
there so many?
Speaker 1 (45:00):
Nah?
Speaker 3 (45:01):
It just says a bit of an early line claim
to fame. But back in the day, probably nineteen eighty six,
the All Blacks, probably the Cavaliers, Murray Mixtead and the
All Blacks Fords were doing line out practice while I
was playing cricket at Steel Park and Hamilton on Saturday morning.
Speaker 1 (45:14):
I had no.
Speaker 3 (45:15):
Idea, but my father decided it'd be a great character
building exercise, so he gave me a pen and paper
and sent me over to basically interrupt the practice. I asked,
I asked mixtead for an autograph.
Speaker 1 (45:24):
He told me to wait.
Speaker 3 (45:25):
Then he finished the line out and came over to me,
had a chat, sign his autograph. A true legend and
a gentleman. The autograph sat on the family mental piece
in the lounge for years, Love Wayne.
Speaker 1 (45:34):
Those are the days when you could interrupt line out
practice for an autograph.
Speaker 3 (45:37):
I did that downe at a park and done it's
for The Crusaders were practicing, and for some reason, Mark
Hammett was my favorite player. And I walked past untold
Crusader's legends just to get his signature. And I came
back and my dad gave me a growling because I
missed all the you should have.
Speaker 1 (45:56):
Got, all the way you should involved yourself in a
backline move.
Speaker 3 (46:00):
The thing I was called for it. That's how that's
how I first got their attention. I was like, Jack
May Jack, who's this kid? He's got something about him?
And all that came over with was the Hammer's signature.
Speaker 2 (46:15):
Coming up on the Holecky Breakfast.
Speaker 1 (46:17):
Better I became when we named five well people, you
had to tell us whether they're dead or live. One

he loves surfing. We know that.

Other at the path.
Speaker 3 (48:19):
Yeah, not really a trader, ja.
Speaker 6 (48:22):
We all love each other.
Speaker 3 (48:24):
Just trying to engine this some animosity here. All right,
here's how it works. Oh, Grant, you want to try
your buzzer please?
Speaker 1 (48:28):
It's your name, Grant. Yeah, beauty. All right, you.
Speaker 3 (48:31):
Guys know how this works.
Speaker 1 (48:32):
First to three, this five of them.
Speaker 3 (48:33):
Let's get into it.
Speaker 1 (48:34):
Okay, Person number one for Kerry and Grant, former All
Black who played thirty four consecutive tests. Murray mixed it,
did or alive Grant Grant, Murray mixed it as alive. Yeah,
we think so. It's seventy two years old. Have you
seen him?
Speaker 6 (48:50):
No, I don't think he's here, not in anyway right down.
Speaker 2 (48:54):
Not.
Speaker 3 (48:56):
Someone else just taxed her and said, mixed it is
definitely not hanging out the back of Ferry Meade smoking
darriies with.
Speaker 1 (49:00):
Some school boys. Okay, good tonight.
Speaker 3 (49:02):
That's MMed a bit like he's definitely not smoking.
Speaker 1 (49:07):
One of those ones. How's the score looking.
Speaker 3 (49:09):
Oh, let me just ed it up including the last one.
Speaker 1 (49:12):
Yeah one, noil Grant. Okay, Person two one time guitarist
for the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Hello Slovak, dead or
alive period Grant, Hello Slovaks, Yes, okay, I had a
drug over nineteen eighty eight, age twenty six.
Speaker 3 (49:36):
Grant is on two carriers, on none. You're gonna have
to be quick on the drawer.
Speaker 1 (49:39):
Here carry Kerry. Can you just check kick your buzzer
for us? Please carry? Yeah, okay, it's working Person three,
cult figure for the Auckland Warriors in the nineties, High
Trar Cassini. Great, I'm going to give carry this one.
It's I know it's tough, but I'm going to give
(50:00):
Kry an opportunity. Carrie high tro Cassini did her alive? Yes, yes,
years old. He's making the game. Here comes Carrie. Go Carrie.
Speaker 3 (50:11):
It's still Grant by a nose though two players.
Speaker 1 (50:14):
One star of the nineteen ninety three movie Free Willie
Kicko the OrCAD did or alive? Carrie? Hello Grant, I'm
going to go to you kicker the Orchid. Yes, the
ngranulations Grant, bad luck, Carrie, Ah good.
Speaker 8 (50:37):
I know I don't believe that he made it over
there wall either, neither do I just.
Speaker 1 (50:42):
It's not quite right.
Speaker 3 (50:44):
All right, thanks for making congratulations Grant and not given
that was hard fought this morning.
Speaker 11 (50:49):
Cheers Carrie, cheers mate, we make we make Carvarders look
good anyway.
Speaker 8 (50:55):
Yeah, we'll give you that.
Speaker 4 (50:57):
Give you the thank you breakfast.
Speaker 2 (51:00):
Lenin the Hodakey Breakfast.
Speaker 1 (51:02):
So the All White in the United States getting ready
to play at the FIFA World Cup for just the
third time in our history. They haven't played in one
since twenty ten, and this time around they group with Belgium,
Egypt and interestingly it An. They'll play a warm up
game against Haiti at midday today. Joining us now the
(51:24):
host of Weekends Sport on newstalok z'd be football commentator
for Skysport Jason Pine Thanks for your time. Piney are
firstly Haiti. What do we know about Haiti?
Speaker 11 (51:35):
Yeah, not a lot in the football, so it's great
to be with you guys. They're ranked about the same
as US, where eighty fifth in the world. They're eighty third,
I think, so similar kind of standard to US. They're
also going to the World Cup. They don't go very often,
but the expanded World Cup has them there as well.
I think it'll be a good sort of gauge and
quite a good first kind of head out for these guys.
(51:56):
They play England on Sunday in their second warm up match,
which will be obviously a lot tougher, but I think
today will be a chance to give everybody a go.
They can use eleven subs, so I think it'll start
with obviously starting eleven, and then maybe roll the subs
in the second half and see how they get on.
Speaker 3 (52:11):
Obviously, football riding high at the moment off the back
of Auckland FC winning the whole thing just a couple
of weeks go.
Speaker 1 (52:17):
Great call, by the way.
Speaker 3 (52:18):
Piney, What what about this all squad? Where are we
at there? Obviously the rang is eighty fifth, but what
does the squad look like?
Speaker 11 (52:25):
Yeah? So I think it's the best team we've ever
assembled for a major tournament, and that probably sends to reason.
Given you know the number of players who are playing
professionally now in good leagues around the world. I think
you know that the best indicator is that good players
haven't made this squad, So it's always a good indication
of depth. Look, I think they'll go and look, obviously
they're you know, they're not favored to beat any of
(52:49):
the teams that you mentioned before Jerry in their group,
you know, but I think maybe that plays in their
favor a little bit. They'll they'll certainly be underdogs, a
bit of a surprise factor, and I know internally there
is a lot of confidence in this team that they
can make of it a history over the next month
or so.
Speaker 3 (53:03):
Story it seems of the World Cup as Tim Payne
after he blew up last last week. But for people
that he blew up, he didn't blow himself up. It
was an Argentinean that blow him up. Huge international incident.
Speaker 1 (53:17):
You don't want to be now.
Speaker 3 (53:18):
You never want to be blown up by an argent Cup,
certainly not before a World Cup. But I know that
it's on a lot of people's radar because obviously the
football huge in the South American world. Does will he
be starting for us? Do you think when we when
we start in the competition For people that don't follow football,
where does he what does he rank.
Speaker 1 (53:34):
In the team?
Speaker 7 (53:34):
Yeah?
Speaker 11 (53:35):
I think he is the starting right back, so absolutely
he'll be starting. I think you'll see him start this afternoon.
If there's an incredible story, here's a guy who had
what four and a half thousand Instagram followers, and I
just checked before. I just checked before and he's now
four point five million. I mean, he's getting dangerously close
to the population of New Zealand, you know, following him.
(53:55):
It's an incredible and he's the most unassuming guy to pay.
You know, he'll be I think a lot of ribbing
from his mates about it, but look, I mean it's
just it's quite a cool little story and shows that
the power of social media. Man, there's a few influences
around New Zealand. Who would love four and a half
million followers, wouldn't they.
Speaker 1 (54:12):
We're talking to our host of Weekend Sport on Newstalkserman
football commentator Jason pine Piney, how do we look in
Group G realistically? Obviously we've got Iran as our first
game on the sixteenth of June, that twenty one in
the world Egypt. Then after that that twenty eighth in
the world Belgium. That'll be toughye Obviously, what do you
(54:33):
hope what do you hope to see from this all
white side at the World Cup?
Speaker 11 (54:39):
I want to see them make some history and that
would mean winning a game and advancing from the group.
Now with this expanded World Cup, like it or not,
forty eight teams, the top two in the group go
through to the round of thirty two and the best
eight third place finishers. So I reckon, you need four
points to go through, which is a win and a
(54:59):
draw in those three games. Now you're right, Belgium superpower
final game probably not gonna you know, if you have
to rely on that game to get one of those
one of those results. I know that we're in a
little bit of trouble, but I reckon. I mean Iran,
we all know, guys, that's geopolitical situation around them. I mean,
goodness only knows what sort of shape they'll be in.
And then Egypt. You know, look, it's one of those games.
(55:22):
As I said before, everybody else in the group will
be delighted. New Zealand's in their group. Oh thank god,
there's three points straight away for us. So what happens
when you get to sixty five seventy minutes and it's
still Ni Law? What sort of pressI does that place
on the much higher ranked opposition. New Zealand have got
some good players. Chris Wood, we know Premier League striker,
you know, he is a bona fide goal scorer for
(55:45):
US and others as well, who are really playing well
in their different leagues around the world. So look, I
hope that they and I know that they will represent
us well, and I know that there is deep optimism
inside the squad that they can make a bit of history.
Speaker 1 (55:58):
Just before you go, Jason Pine, of you seen Marray
mixed did around?
Speaker 11 (56:02):
I haven't seen much for a while. What a champion
of a man. Though I haven't seen him for a while.
He lives, we used to live not far from where
I live in Wellington. But why do you ask have
you seen him recently?
Speaker 1 (56:12):
From this morning? We're just sort of just Someone said,
where's Mary mixed It? And we've been trying to find him.
Someone said that he's up at the mount some of
our cities, not in Wellington is certainly not mixed dead motors.
Speaker 11 (56:22):
No, Well, if there's a if there's a surf break somewhere,
is that what they call it, he'll be out. He'll
be out riding that he loves some loves the surf.
So look, I'll do some independent investigation and get back
to you.
Speaker 1 (56:33):
Thank you and Pine, thank you so much for your
time this morning.
Speaker 2 (56:36):
Boys, Jerry and Mini, the hold I keep breakfast so.
Speaker 1 (56:40):
He managed to get your numbers strucken off the register
at the rights VIC clinic. Yeah, Meg, Meg was my cat.
My name is My name is Stephen. My cat's name
was Meg. Turns out no, not anymore. Meg does not
need any more check ups, No more texts coming through
to me slash Stephen.
Speaker 3 (56:57):
It's a clunky system because I get the texts for
our care most Burgess who shouldn't have given his government
name out, but he I won't give his phone number,
which you almost did. No, So I get the texts saying, hey,
Moses due for his whatever vaccination check up stuff, and
then I have to pass that onto the message and
that's really frustrating because I'm terrible of that. So that's
(57:18):
a bit of a convoluted thing that's going on at
the moment. But what I found out the other day
is so we took him in for his vaccinations and
they do a check up. They see check to see
how much he weighs, five point seven killers.
Speaker 1 (57:29):
It's a good he's getting Berg. That's a big cat.
He's getting Berg, and his fighting days I think are
behind him.
Speaker 3 (57:33):
He is, he's had a lot of his teeth removed,
he's had all sorts of procedures on h because he's
a scrapper, and he'll get in a massive fight, then
he'll get in fiction of some sort. My screensaver on
my phone is him fighting another cat.
Speaker 1 (57:46):
The neighbor's cat. Probably can't see that from me. And
he's not this fighter that he used to be. He's
not the fighter that he used to be. Starting to
get his ass kicked, and so I think he might
be retiring from the from the scrapping game. He's a
bit like the stylebender. I wouldn't say that, He's not quite.
Speaker 3 (58:00):
Say that into a microphone. I wouldn't say that on
the radio. Really, I mean, I wouldn't say that at all.
But I certainly wouldn't say that on the radio. Sure
what you're saying off here, that is Look, I wasn't
comparing my cats asral as Artisania. Although he is one
of the greatest fighters that Augland's.
Speaker 1 (58:15):
Producing, great fight, but.
Speaker 3 (58:19):
My cat's best is behind him. Okay, that's okay. And
he's also started expressing his anal glens on the floor.
That's a whole different thing. But yeah, it's disgusting. Stanks
to Okay, they don't worry. They expressed them, so it
won't have it for a while. What I found out though,
and this blew my mind. He is now seven years old,
(58:40):
which in cat years now that isn't cat.
Speaker 1 (58:43):
Years seven times fifty six.
Speaker 3 (58:46):
He is forty four years old. And it completely changed
my opinion of him because he used to be, you know,
the little baby moops getting around the house. Oh, look
at the look he's doing a little. Now I find
out he's a forty four year old man getting around
My head stuff. Put some clothes on. Yep, all right,
so let's start there. Ye Second, off, what bells are
you paying around here? Since you want to be forty
four walking around the house, you should be being bored
(59:07):
at forty four one hundred percent should at least be cleaning.
Speaker 4 (59:10):
Up after himself if they're drinking too much on the weekend.
Speaker 3 (59:12):
He's drinking way too much on the week He doesn't
look after himself, only comes five. So he comes home
in the middle of the night, just banging around on
the pots and pans, tries and get tries.
Speaker 1 (59:22):
To get in bed with my missus, expressing his anal
glens all over the floor.
Speaker 3 (59:24):
It's absolutely disgusting. How do I ask him to leave
back over him.
Speaker 9 (59:29):
Yeah, sereingy Wells and the Nias Stewart. Find them on
Instagram at Hodarki Breakfast, The hole Ache Breakfast.
Speaker 2 (59:38):
He'd set for winter with Bunning's trade
