Speaker 1 (00:00):
Daily bespoke content that you won't find on the radio
show The hurdar Kei Breakfast Podcast.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
Welcome to the first part of the cherry of the
first podcast to see the sun, the first to see
in a new day, the day of our Lord, ninth
of June.
Speaker 3 (00:14):
You know, every day. Jason Horty is the organ here
and right. He would bring in noteped in and the
only thing he would ever write down was the date
and day. And I used to think that was ridiculous
and delays to introduce the agenda podcast and every time
I'd forget what the date and day was.
Speaker 2 (00:31):
I suppose he didn't know they did that at the time.
That was on the computer.
Speaker 3 (00:36):
No, he can't log into the computers.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
No. Here there was a time with Jason Hoyt and
this is I know sounds untrue, but it is true.
That's the rundown for the show for what was the
agenda for the show, the items that were going to
be discussed on the show. On the book show, I
think at the time it was probably Bougier was actually
printed out on a piece of paper and then placed
(00:59):
on the front of the compewter screen because he did
not know how to turnymous computer.
Speaker 3 (01:04):
I think that's still happening. Oh, seriously, he's definitely not
using the computer.
Speaker 4 (01:09):
I don't know if he's putting it on the computer screen,
but it's very close. It's like on his right hand side.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
And then it'll be boiled up. Actually there's one there right,
it'll be bulled up and left on the desk.
Speaker 2 (01:23):
So just so people can understand, like like the computer
is a piece of paper, Yeah, things written on it.
It's just on our computer screen. Yeah. And you can
move the things around.
Speaker 3 (01:35):
Oh, and you can write on that thing and delete stuff,
move things around, and you can put pictures in there, you.
Speaker 2 (01:40):
Can look things up. It's like a library, the world
Wide Web of Information.
Speaker 3 (01:47):
And so we that's where we put our rundown. Now,
also there is another member of stuff who can't operate
Google Docs, so we have to make a separate rundown
for them. And I'm not going to say who that is,
but they know who they are.
Speaker 2 (01:58):
So I just think I know who they are.
Speaker 3 (02:02):
Do they know who they're? Twenty six? I just feel
like if you have a job that's inside you should
be able to use Google Docs. Yeah, if you have
a job that's primarily computer based. You should be able
to use a computer. If you have a job that's
forklift based, you should be allowed. You should be able
to drive a forklift. And that's yeah, that's just how
(02:23):
I operate, fair enough. But I understand the irony of that,
being that my job's entertained and inform and I do
neither of those on a daily basis.
Speaker 2 (02:33):
Well, I turn my computer on, and I take it
for granted that it's going to then the screens that
come up every day are going to come up, Like
if I actually had to go looking for, oh, yeah,
where I'm meant to be. I don't know whether how
well i'd go, to be honest, I mean, I'd worked
my way through it to take some time, you'd get there.
I'd probably get there.
Speaker 3 (02:53):
Yeah. What I've realized is that I shut my computer
down every single day and log out out of respect
for the next person in is the computer?
Speaker 2 (03:02):
Yeah, so do I.
Speaker 3 (03:03):
The next person in is this computer is me? Ah,
so I actually don't even need to log.
Speaker 2 (03:08):
Out of this thing. Okay, right, so I think this.
I think the restart is quite good for the computer, though.
Speaker 3 (03:15):
I do it for the computer. Look after your tools,
Jerry for the computer. Look after your tools, man, and
they'll look after you.
Speaker 2 (03:21):
Me and this computer, we've got a good relationship. It's
never really let me down.
Speaker 3 (03:25):
You abiss the computer.
Speaker 2 (03:26):
No, it appears we get on.
Speaker 3 (03:27):
Well how many?
Speaker 2 (03:28):
I mean?
Speaker 3 (03:29):
I suppose it's a new day, it's a new door,
and it's a new life. But how many tabs do
you have open right now?
Speaker 4 (03:33):
Well?
Speaker 2 (03:33):
Funny you say that, because I was just I was
just closing them. I have one two three four, five
six seven on one screen and one two three, four,
five six seven eight nineteen eleven twelve on the other.
I have a hold in King's word. On one's my fault.
(03:56):
It's a ut I got a nineteen seventy Chivy or Camino.
Speaker 3 (04:00):
That one's sick? Is it the black one?
Speaker 2 (04:02):
Yep?
Speaker 4 (04:02):
Racist.
Speaker 2 (04:04):
I've got an article about an Italian outrage after Kiwi
terrorist caught on camera driving into Rome's truvy fountain.
Speaker 3 (04:10):
Oh my god, that was a month ago.
Speaker 2 (04:14):
How many fathoms is fifty feet?
Speaker 4 (04:16):
Yeah? I remember that chit that jent.
Speaker 2 (04:19):
The more could you bring back, the more a genetically
engineered proxy bird would trigger intense debate over ecological disruption.
I've got that. I've got just a Google thing that's
got nothing on it. I've got another one with nothing
on it. I've got three that open with nothing on it.
Speaker 3 (04:36):
Have you a.
Speaker 2 (04:38):
Modern football strategies? I've got what is this Mainstrea and
Hamilton called Victoria Street, the George Viper and Jake U
xj is and KFC ponsonby what time does that open?
So that's basically an insight into my life.
Speaker 3 (04:56):
Can you press old controlled delete? Start a task manager? Yeah,
and check task master?
Speaker 2 (05:07):
Have me some problems with delete? There? It is? Task manager? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (05:11):
Task manager?
Speaker 2 (05:12):
Ye?
Speaker 3 (05:12):
Sorry, the spin off show Task Manager way more boring.
Speaker 4 (05:17):
Translation.
Speaker 3 (05:17):
Does it say what percentage of memory you're using on
your computer?
Speaker 2 (05:21):
Does? What is it? So? Currently it's it's changing around,
Is that right?
Speaker 3 (05:30):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (05:30):
It'll set Google Chrome is currently using seventy memory.
Speaker 3 (05:36):
Yeah. See I'm at fifty for I think that's about
what you'reupposed to be. See, this is what I mean.
You're abusing that computer. So I've just I'm just growing
under the weight of all the open tabs.
Speaker 2 (05:46):
Well I've just got rid of all of those tabs.
So oh okay, well maybe it's should I get rid
of this? Right? Should I get rid of that one.
I get that one. I'm basically just I'm now going
and getting rid of all of them. Other than it's
got worse. It's using eighty two. I've just closed the
tabs and it's now using eighty three.
Speaker 3 (06:05):
Shit opened the back up again.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
You might have been doing that is your.
Speaker 4 (06:08):
Computer, Jerry would have all of those settings. Because we
talked about doing a daily restart, which is a great
name for the podcast, actually daily restart.
Speaker 3 (06:15):
The daily restart. Do you do a daily restart?
Speaker 2 (06:19):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (06:20):
So what does it keep all your tabs? Then I
don't get that.
Speaker 3 (06:25):
Oh, that's a great point.
Speaker 2 (06:26):
It just because Google Chrome keeps where you.
Speaker 4 (06:30):
Were here, and so those ones, a lot of those
that you had because you went away for a week
a couple of weeks ago, some of those were from
before you went away. So we're talking, oh yeah, a
month Oldah oh yeah, beenhurly logged in g lane, logged in.
Speaker 3 (06:45):
Their own logins, Kenny Loggins, that's the that's the old.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
It's interesting, I've only got two things open at the moment,
and it's saying eighty percent. So is it is it
the kinky six spots that the problem?
Speaker 3 (07:00):
Yeah? Probably soaking up a fair bit of room, can
I we we're going to sign an India this morning. Yes,
just flag that with you guys. Have you ever seen
an India get enforced? Well, I don't even know what
the NDA says, so I don't know what I'm not
allowed to disclose yet.
Speaker 2 (07:17):
So for people who are listening, you don't know what
that is. That's a non disclosure agreement.
Speaker 3 (07:21):
Yes, that's when. So like for example, if you're going
to go home and sleep with a famous rapper, they
might make you sign an India. Or if you're going
to go watch a promotional movie that you're not allowed
to talk about until the release is announced, then you'd
sign an India.
Speaker 2 (07:37):
I went just went to one where in fact it
was with you guys, we had to sign an India
and we had to put our phones into a special Oh, we're.
Speaker 3 (07:44):
Gonna have to do that again.
Speaker 4 (07:47):
I just realized I know this security. I know this India.
Speaker 3 (07:50):
So let me tell you about a time we were interviewing.
Do you remember it? They remade it and there was
a part one at part two and the main character
was a Kiwi fellow Jay and I forget his last name,
but Jay Reeve Leaguia no.
Speaker 4 (08:11):
I know who you mean. He was on some shows.
Speaker 3 (08:14):
Yeah, he was on like Home and Away or something
like that. Has that Does that narrow down a k
we actor at all? J actor and actor Jay Ryan
Ryan he was on everything on Step Dave. Yeah, I
think so, and and like all those go Girls Go Go.
(08:36):
A bit of a bit of a hotty, bit of
a hunk.
Speaker 2 (08:38):
Ye.
Speaker 3 (08:39):
Now he he was in that movie and he was
coming in for a yarn. So we went and watched
the movie before that was there. You can only interview
him if you've watched the movie. Yeah, And we said,
all good, thanks will pass, and they said no, no, no, no,
come on down to the So we went down and
watched the movie. The movie was two. Now I had
not seen it one or the fucking original. So now
(09:02):
I'm going down to a private screening of a horror
movie at ten in the morning. And we go in
there and like you've just described, there's a security guard
on the door. I was like, trust me, no one
is breaking in here to watch fucking two. Brother respectfully.
So we're at the Newmarket Movie Theater at ten in
the morning on a Tuesday, and me and Matt Ward
(09:23):
we go in there and we sit down and we
watch part two of a horror movie. We haven't seen
part one of eighteen in the morning, and we're the
only two there. So there's like two people from the
PR company, a security guard and then me and Matt Ward.
I'm like, fucking I'm getting popcorn.
Speaker 2 (09:40):
We park up.
Speaker 3 (09:40):
We're in the middle because we're the only two people there.
They sat us right in the middle and we're watching
this thing halfways arough. I'm looking around garden, John, i'an
been gonna pop out in like masks or something like that.
Liked the movie, yeah, uh yeah yeah, And then it
and it two spoilers. It turns out to be an alien.
(10:05):
Oh I've seen this yeah. Oh no, it gets a
bit yeah no, no, no, it gets a bit wacky
towards the end there, No, no, no, no, I don't
think so. Horror movies can over explain themselves sometimes anyway.
But we're sitting in there watching this fucking film, and
I in the back of my mind felt like I
was being pranked, like some sort of wacky radio gigs
(10:26):
about to be played on me and someone's going to
pop out from somewhere or something like that. Trying to
skip the past out of me and then right in
the back, like sitting directly behind me. Shait I was like,
what the fuck is that? Oh, he comes to this
fucking prank. Turned around. N it's the security guard. He's
got sick of waiting outside, so he's coming sit in
the back of the cinema and falling asleep and he's snoring.
Speaker 2 (10:49):
Oh my god.
Speaker 3 (10:50):
And it scared that person, just this massive dude in
the American It wasn't a joke, No, it wasn't.
Speaker 2 (10:56):
It wasn't the prank.
Speaker 3 (10:57):
That wasn't the pranks. Quite a good prank, good jake.
He just got sick of waiting out there and come
in and fell fair enough. Fucking heaven it as well.
Speaker 2 (11:06):
I mean, there's not like there's no one coming, there's
no one. There's no one nowadays that just can't wait
to see a movie. I don't know, never before has
been less hype about any movie in the history of
the world, ever that ever gets released. No one cares
about any movies.
Speaker 3 (11:19):
No we went to was the other one here to recently?
The remake. They're all remakes these days. What's Nielsen?
Speaker 2 (11:28):
Yeah, the Naked gun.
Speaker 3 (11:30):
Naked Gun?
Speaker 2 (11:30):
Yeah, I think we had to give our phones and
for that one, yeah, did India as well?
Speaker 4 (11:35):
What do you reckon? Would happen if we went in
and let's say we handled our phones in. But I
had a Bona phone and I just can sat there
and recorded five minutes of the movie that we're not
allowed to talk about today. But do you reckon?
Speaker 3 (11:46):
They got a bit of a loser. But other than that,
I don't know as a post two hours of filming
of the movie on your.
Speaker 4 (11:54):
Phone, what people used to do. It used to go
on to things like Blimewire slightly older and you'd be like,
oh shit, that movie's only just come out and you
click on it, hoping it's a DVD, burn coffee or
something like that, and it's some can't just sat there
in the movie theater with a camera strapped to the head.
Speaker 3 (12:12):
Yeah, film holding. Halfway through someone stands up in front
of them and walks us that's right. Well someone takes
a phone call behind those.
Speaker 4 (12:18):
Yeah. Yeah, got caught out by that a couple time.
Speaker 2 (12:23):
All legal, of course.
Speaker 1 (12:25):
Jerry and Manaia joined the conflayt the Hodaki Breakfast discussion
group on Facebook for more jerrymy Wells and Mania. Stuart
find them on Instagram at Hodaki Breakfast.
Speaker 2 (12:36):
So we were going to be running a new nickname
for ruders today as barter bullets with velcro straps and
Roman sandals in the summer. It's a long nickname.
Speaker 5 (12:46):
Is maybe a bit long, but it really does capture you.
Butter bullets, barer bullets with velcro straps and Roman sandals
in the summer.
Speaker 4 (12:57):
We're not going to include my age because I believe
it is ten that I really started tying my own laces.
Speaker 2 (13:03):
Okay, Yeah. The reason for that nickname is because executive
producer Router couldn't tie his own less Still, he was dean, well,
how do you?
Speaker 3 (13:12):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (13:12):
Five?
Speaker 4 (13:13):
You open?
Speaker 2 (13:14):
Five?
Speaker 3 (13:14):
Oh you're true and stuck out of school?
Speaker 4 (13:16):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (13:16):
Tell your lash yeah five. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (13:19):
I think that's I think it would have been pretty
chill about that.
Speaker 2 (13:24):
I'm sure you weren't ostracized for it.
Speaker 4 (13:26):
No, I don't. I didn't think so. I think because
bat of bullets were cool when I was a kid.
Speaker 3 (13:31):
So it's like, oh, wow, were they that guy?
Speaker 4 (13:33):
That guy was absolutely no, you know, no rich stuff
at all has battle bullets. This is pretty good, but
batter bullets cool at your school? They were Cambridge Primary
bro they were cool. The Roman standards in the summer
not so much.
Speaker 3 (13:46):
But we had to wear Romans and we were on
the Romans were choice the Jerusalem cruises.
Speaker 4 (13:53):
We were in mufty.
Speaker 3 (13:54):
If they're good enough for the Savior of the fucking universe.
Speaker 2 (13:57):
Precisely instead we're those tusus s boots good enough for me, brother,
like that particular kind with the little buckles and Roman sandals.
I mean, he was a Roman citizen, was the citizen
of the Roman Empire, and so.
Speaker 4 (14:12):
How do they take a nail?
Speaker 2 (14:14):
What the sandals? I think they took them off A
good point? Was he a foot when he was when
I was carrying the cross? Was here on it?
Speaker 3 (14:23):
Well? These Romans, I can't imagine they were affording in
many comforts when he was carrying that thing up Goldgther.
Speaker 4 (14:30):
You're right, man, let's just let's put your stands, your hands,
a good day with nails and ropes and that sweet
and the whips to the top.
Speaker 2 (14:41):
I never understood the whole thing was carrying your own cross, right.
Speaker 3 (14:44):
Humiliations, Why don't you just not because they whipped the
funk out into his.
Speaker 2 (14:48):
And then you just I'm going to die on this
thing anyway, Well just.
Speaker 3 (14:52):
Kill me here, fuck it?
Speaker 2 (14:53):
Yeah, oh they.
Speaker 3 (14:56):
You look man, I'm not conscious, but yeah they are.
They're fucking them up the whole. Yeah, you haven't seen
the Passion.
Speaker 2 (15:01):
Of the Cross. Yeah, I'm not sure whether that. I
felt like they just overdid it a bit. One Passion
of the Christ an hour of him walking up to
Calgary Hill Drink and Jesus to a slaics like, do
you think Jesus could have worn bullets?
Speaker 3 (15:20):
I don't know if they're doing laces back in the day. True, No,
not reckon, I don't reckon.
Speaker 2 (15:27):
Were they doing lacers?
Speaker 4 (15:28):
I feel like they had boots.
Speaker 2 (15:29):
The Romans definitely were wearing boots.
Speaker 3 (15:32):
Yeah, well they getting a bit and sandals too, Is
that what they were called Roman sandals?
Speaker 2 (15:38):
I think that the general kind of public were wearing
Roman sandals. Yeah, well I think the centurions, et cetera.
What did they have? I think they had bloodstones on
they had, Yeah, Doc Martin's Roman Soldiers. It was a
type of boot.
Speaker 4 (15:55):
Almost sounds like that.
Speaker 2 (15:56):
I feel like I did have laces. It was so
they went up up your leg, didn't they?
Speaker 3 (16:01):
In a D thirty five, which is when obviously all right,
you got some footage. I mean Romans, they've got photos
of them, and yeah they do, and they have laces
probably photos the leather that's color photos.
Speaker 2 (16:19):
Interesting color photo. Yeah, from technology could tick. They had
good tick, the Romans. Oh lookit at their time, boy,
they had some good tick. Remarkable it got lost.
Speaker 3 (16:32):
Yeah, I love that forgot that's in your dock there
at the top than you on the Tuesday that there
there we go.
Speaker 2 (16:41):
It's like a it's like an old.
Speaker 3 (16:42):
School boxing shoes slash with studs.
Speaker 2 (16:45):
Yeah. What about the soul, So that would have been
a leather soul with some little sort of good grip.
You could actually wear those to play cricket.
Speaker 3 (16:55):
You could, yep.
Speaker 2 (16:56):
And they had the leather lace that went all the
way up reda would have been absolutely see with us.
So basically they were wearing boots. Yeah, I mean when
they Yeah, I reckon legs. How have we landed back
on Jesus again? Everything comes back to Jesus?
Speaker 3 (17:14):
Should we ban Jesus from the podcast of the season?
Speaker 2 (17:17):
Everything comes back? But Jesus didn't wear those things, did he?
He wore Jesus boots? He wore Roman sandals. Are they
Those are what the Roman soldiers wore.
Speaker 4 (17:28):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (17:28):
It's just the first thing that came up when I
good Roman soldier a D.
Speaker 2 (17:33):
Thirty five, not a bad looking boot with the seam
down the middle, kind of like a trick opposed to
a NOMN.
Speaker 4 (17:40):
I think what I would have done up to age
probably eleven, as I would have been okay threading the
lace through, but then at the top I probably would
have just tucked them right into the top and heading
them away because I couldn't tie them.
Speaker 2 (17:56):
Did he not just tie them in a standard? I'm not.
Speaker 4 (17:58):
I'm pretty sure I did them. Little.
Speaker 2 (18:00):
Did you not ask your parents, hey, well, how do
you tell your shoelacers? And then they show you and
then you just do it.
Speaker 4 (18:06):
They showed me the loop with the ravity thing, and
I couldn't do it.
Speaker 2 (18:09):
There's Mama ruder again, it's both.
Speaker 4 (18:11):
It's mum and dad ruder.
Speaker 3 (18:12):
And then they would have got passed off the bluff. Yeah,
they'd be like, oh, why get some valcroz. The sounds
going to let all your friends that you can't tell
your shoe lassers every time.
Speaker 4 (18:22):
You do it?
Speaker 2 (18:22):
Can school not teach them how to tie shoelacers.
Speaker 4 (18:25):
No no, and as I said, it wasn't a problem
to I went to Cambridge Intermediate School with their black
nomads and then I was fucked up.
Speaker 3 (18:34):
The radio show find out to more of Rudic and
Whistle or Not, Jerry and.
Speaker 1 (18:37):
Mania the Edged. The radio show from six to ten weekdays,
The Hordacky Breakfast
