The Hodarcky Breakfast thanks to bunning Straight build big rewards
(00:03):
with new power pass pro rewards by Bunnings.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
Hi, let's do this, err and Mini the Wholearchy Breakfast.
Speaker 3 (00:10):
Welcome to the Hadacky Breakfast. It's Tuesday at the fourth
of August twenty twenty sixty's every company this morning. My
name's Jeremy Wells. This is a nice Stewart.
Speaker 1 (00:18):
I thought there was supposed to be a real cold
snap coming through this morning. At least where I live,
there wasn't a little too bad.
Speaker 3 (00:23):
She's coming through tomorrow and the nice Stuart's Yeah, by
the looks of it. Yeah, yeah, I think she's gonna
have the South Island today and then make its way
all the way up from the South and then north.
Big Swell's coming up on the east coast of the
North Island and the South Island? Is it? Bigs Well?
Was that good, serf? I don't think it's surferable? Yeah, right,
too much? Fair enough?
Speaker 1 (00:45):
No, Yeah, I was fully expecting to have to scrape
the old windscreen this morning.
Speaker 3 (00:50):
No such luck. Yeah. I think I think tomorrow, next
day and the day after. I think highs in Auckland anyway,
I looked of ten, which is not very high.
Speaker 1 (00:59):
When you have to scrape the ice off your windscreen,
do you scrape every single bit of it off so
that you have clear and unobstructed view or do you
just get a letterbox method where it's like, if I
can see enough and then everything around me is just
yellow light.
Speaker 3 (01:13):
Blurs, yeah, like a car burger. Yea, yeah, I go
to carburker method. Yeah, I've gone the car burger.
Speaker 1 (01:19):
And also just depending on the thickness of that ice, yeah,
I can't be bugged. And then but then what happens
is I drive to work on a four lane motorway
and there's trucks and stuff all around me. At that
time of the morning, I can't see it damn thing.
So I'm just like, good luck everybody, and then just
switch off.
Speaker 3 (01:32):
Oh she's dangerous. And you ever employed the newspaper, the
wet newspaper myth for the night before? No, I never have.
Speaker 1 (01:40):
Well, like I said on the other day, who has
a paper newspaper?
Speaker 3 (01:43):
These days?
Speaker 1 (01:43):
All apps come on a nap on you on screen,
lots of cell phone welcome.
Speaker 2 (01:49):
Along, Jerry and Mini, the hold I keep breakfast.
Speaker 3 (01:55):
See what's going on? Tell us we're on a hit list. Yeah,
we have made it on to Brian Tammocky's hit list.
Speaker 1 (02:01):
You know, you and this show has been going for
eighteen months now, but you look to different milestones as
a market for how you know, essentially a new show
is going and when it's when you can get cut
through into things like you know, political death threats, hit
lists and so now I think I think we can
(02:22):
be really proud of ourselves this morning that we've made
it onto Bishop Apostle, Brian Tamaki made peace beer upon
him Heaven's hit list.
Speaker 3 (02:28):
That's right tonight, he says. We unless the strike force
from Heaven. If your organization or name is on Heaven's
hit list, you should repent or have the fear of
God on you?
Speaker 1 (02:39):
Can I say Tuesday, I'm feeling a little behind the
eight ball, not too keen on the fear of God
on me. So whatever his penance is, I would love
to if this audio makes its way back to the
Bishop Apostle, may peace be upon him. Please let me
know my penance. If it's Rosaries, Yeah, our father's happy
to do him. Just you know, you know so, because
(03:01):
I don't want the fear of God on me.
Speaker 3 (03:03):
Well, the good news is that we're in good company.
You you Jerry. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (03:09):
So he's got the hit list of what has made
it on there. Now anyone who has ever had anything
to do with AI can tell from a glance chat
GBT has written this.
Speaker 3 (03:20):
Yeh chat GBT has been busy though, because Heaven's hit list.
According to Bishop Brian tammocky upon him. Sorry apossible, Bishop
is so he goes through political parties, all the the parties,
and he names them all government agencies.
Speaker 1 (03:37):
Sorry, the Opportunities Party not on there. I also can't
see the Internet Money Party.
Speaker 3 (03:41):
In Oh, that's that's true. Two parties that aren't government agencies,
like the police Force are on their corrections justicism idea
there Charity Services and God Charity Services doing terrible things
in New Zealand. They are evil species. I had. He's
(04:03):
quite a funny one. I don't know.
Speaker 1 (04:05):
Pay your tax id for texting, but they don't pick
the rate. They just they just run the accounting sofwhere
that I don't care that.
Speaker 3 (04:14):
You know they're part of the government charity ministry education
because they're indoctrinating children, government bureaucrats just in general. Okay,
So that's everybody, yea, every agency. That's not US. No,
there's foreign pagan religions. Yeah, they're on Bishop Brian Tamaki's
Heaven hit list. That's that's Islam SEEKHSM Hinduism behindh or
(04:40):
foreign pagan religions.
Speaker 1 (04:43):
Not technically a religion actually famously the lack of any religion.
Speaker 3 (04:47):
No religions also on there. What are you supposed to do?
And secular humanism hold on.
Speaker 1 (04:52):
So if this is him saying, he's saying repent, but
there's nowhere and he's covered every single different variation of
religion or non religion. So shalom to the brother Brian.
Speaker 3 (05:06):
Catholicism is not in there. Two, so I think you're safe. Also,
immigrants who refuse peaceful assimilation and we're to undermine this
nation's found in Christian fact, they're in the two. Just
so you know. The liberal influences that he the nations
founding Christian this is us, this is us, the liberal
influences mainstream media, so that's obviously us under the under
that broad banner. But then the usual suspects, he says,
(05:29):
and then he names them. He ruled Radio New Zealand
in me, that's us, one News. That's again, brother staff
News News blah blah blah blah blah blah. They have
lost the trust of everyday New Zealanders, therefore should go to.
Speaker 4 (05:46):
Hell's here right with the media works brand of stations,
mediaks with them.
Speaker 3 (05:52):
He's okay with Mediaks. They're not going to hell. And
so he's okay with the Rock with my event breeze
is all good. Jeez. That's that says a lot about them. Also,
the LGB two three times there again, and then councils,
(06:14):
corrupt mayors, banks, businesses, they're there too, just all of them.
And then the Destiny doctors, the online hate groups to
keep Worried, etcetera. And churches churches are on the list
there as well. So I thought that's it, and that's
a big list.
Speaker 1 (06:27):
I thought, there's a destiny doxes, but it's doss not
to be confused with our doctors, brothers and the talking community.
Speaker 3 (06:35):
Okay, So Jonathan Dove gets a special mention in the
Auckland Church Leaders Network. It's doing terrible. I've not come
across them.
Speaker 1 (06:42):
Okay, See, you're on there three times, I'm on there once,
and all I want to know from the Bishop apostles,
may may peace be upon them? Is what is my penance?
How how shall I repent? Because I'd hate for the
fear of God or Heaven's hit list to be put
on it.
Speaker 3 (07:00):
Humans enlistens. I got to say, can I tell who's
left medi Week's radio stations and people from Destiny Church?
Speaker 4 (07:16):
That's pretty much.
Speaker 3 (07:17):
That's a good question on it as because all the
businesses are on there too.
Speaker 1 (07:22):
I thought they got rid of the Destiny's Church guy
that worked at my VM Jerry and.
Speaker 2 (07:27):
Midnight the hold Ikey Breakfast.
Speaker 1 (07:30):
Gentlemen, I've got a I know that here has loomed
large over our show recently, routers back on the pit tides.
Jerry's going through a hair change at the moment. I've
been given and I don't like to describe it the
way that you do, Jerry, but there's a specific hairstyle
that is often attributed to members of the Rainbow community.
(07:51):
You know that Bryan Tomacky hates and I've been given
I've been given one of those my most recent haircut
and advitently, but it just means that I've got to
put a little bit more grease in there to hold
that thing down. What kind of hear products as you
guys right now, you don't need to because you've got
the bloody you o the pit tonics in there.
Speaker 3 (08:07):
And Ruder's running a Ruder's running quite actually quite a
regime there. I think you find there's there's plenty happening
in there.
Speaker 4 (08:15):
When I had longer here, I had to run a
brill cream and then a wax. But yesterday, because I
just had the pip tide treatment, I actually wasn't allowed
to put anything, and so yesterday what you saw my
style here was.
Speaker 3 (08:26):
Actually pure peptides raw Ruderah, that's that's mainly peptide raw
ruder worth peptime.
Speaker 4 (08:32):
It's a little crusty on the head for twenty four hours,
but then you're allowed.
Speaker 3 (08:35):
To wash it. How's the r dan draff going? Because
that was an issue there for a period, wasn't it.
You had you were running VO five?
Speaker 4 (08:42):
Yeah, gotta wash it every day. Hidden shoulders, yeah, No,
I don't need hidden shoulders.
Speaker 3 (08:46):
I just have to wash every day and not wear
black clothes or dark blues okay, or brown or dark
gray okay. And then what about you do? What are
you running? I'm running? I'm not running anything at the moment.
But but I'm running a generally a wax. Yeah, it's
like it's like some kind of putty kind of situation.
Speaker 1 (09:05):
A matte paste. Perhaps it's a mate a mate paste.
Speaker 3 (09:08):
It's a matte paste, and I put that in wet
and it kind of holds a wet sort of a look.
And then occasionally I'll chuck a here spray on top
of that if I'm on TV, so I don't have
to think about my hair and it doesn't move like
a helmet of flowers.
Speaker 1 (09:20):
Yeah, I got I got a new product, and it's
like a sort of like a wax. It's quite a
stronghold and it just it just means that will stay
in all day and if I don't wash my hair,
it has a cumulative effect, whereas you know, by the
end of the week it's it's you know, almost don't
have to put anything in it. Yeah, don't mind that, dude,
don't mind that. That's me tough to wash out. Yep,
but it's not meant to be washed out.
Speaker 3 (09:41):
N And look, they say you people watch their heirs
far too much, that's right. Yeah, And they say that
you just love too much. That's right. Now, If that's
one of your faults. It's that you love too much,
feel too much.
Speaker 1 (09:51):
My weaknesses that I care too much, and my scars
remind me of the past. Anyway, So I was doing
that in the bathroom a yesterday morning. My cat does
this thing every morning where I get up going to
the bathroom. He has learned how to open the sliding
door that goes from my bedroom into the bathroom. That's good,
it is, it is, but then it casts a light
(10:12):
across the bed, wakes the messes up.
Speaker 3 (10:14):
I'm going my morning ablutions.
Speaker 1 (10:17):
You know. The cat hangs out in the bathroom with
me while I'm getting ready for work. So I'm up
and about, fizzing around. The cat's just walking back and forth. Whatever,
Get dressed, Yeah a get in the way, but you
know whatever, Give me a peny and then I'm you know,
don't bloody brush my teeth?
Speaker 3 (10:32):
Do my hair?
Speaker 1 (10:33):
Cat jumps up on the toilet sort of, you know,
the lid's closed, and he hops up on there and
just watches me.
Speaker 3 (10:38):
And as he's as he's.
Speaker 1 (10:39):
Sitting there, I go to give him a pat and
I forget my hand is covered in here wakes and
I just run it down the back of him, and
I'm like, oh sorry, brother, And my hand is just
like on this thick strip of camfer on the back
of it's like I've just waxed them. And then his
the whole back of him is just covered and here
(11:00):
jail now. I mean he looks sick.
Speaker 3 (11:02):
Yeah, but I'm going to be keeping him busy.
Speaker 1 (11:04):
I don't know, I don't know how he's got I
don't think he has managed to get it out yet.
Speaker 3 (11:07):
Well, he's gonna be doing a better licking. Yeah, I'll
get him busy. And it's probably a natural product. I
imagine nothing unnatural in there.
Speaker 1 (11:16):
Find out we have to run him out there in
the rain. I was going to try and hoe them off.
Speaker 4 (11:20):
If cat's are licking, can they get right round to
the back.
Speaker 1 (11:22):
Of the Oh yeah yeah, it's in between their shoulder blades.
They can't get So if you're putting flea treatment on them,
that's we're getting.
Speaker 3 (11:28):
That is right where I patted him. Oh so yeah, but.
Speaker 1 (11:31):
He's got to he's rocking a pretty stylish slick back
at the moment.
Speaker 3 (11:35):
Start parting that from side to side. Start working, yeah, yeah, work.
Speaker 1 (11:38):
At route to tip The real victim here is me
do you know how long it takes to white wash
that amount of cat here out of your hand.
Speaker 3 (11:44):
When you've almost got to go handy Andy, Just try
and get it off, Draino. That'll get it off.
Speaker 2 (11:52):
Jerry in the night the breakfast time.
Speaker 3 (11:55):
For you later his sport headlines thanks to export Ultra
to beer for here extraord Accusations by former NRL player
Luke Bateman have rocked the Australian sports gambling scene during
an inquiry around restricting advertising and incentives in the industry.
The former raider has admitted losing over a million dollars
to his addiction and says no duty of care was
(12:17):
shown by betting companies. Not that well, not just that sorry.
Speaker 1 (12:20):
He was saying that they would like fly him out
to the races and then they'd be like, you need
a bag a bag this weekend, A couple of bags?
Speaker 3 (12:29):
Yeah? Really yeah.
Speaker 1 (12:31):
And he's sitting in front of David Pocock, former Wallaby
is now a politician, and he's the he's like a
pretty staunch sort of anti gambling guy, and he's sitting
listening to this guy.
Speaker 3 (12:42):
Oh my god, oh wow. He's like, oh you thought
the ads were bad? Wow? Okay, I must tune into that.
The heret continues today. Now I'll just watch the highlights.
Gianni and Fantino's re election campaign to be FEE for
president is under threat. The Welsh Football Association is withdrawn
from endorsing his candidacy, and England are poised to follow suit.
Speaker 1 (13:04):
Is that all it takes? Just Wales pulls out, then
your bust?
Speaker 3 (13:09):
The European governing body UEFA has also threatened lawsuits over
scrapped FIFA proposals to sell a privatized steak and future
World Cups and other tournament Are.
Speaker 1 (13:20):
You saying that they might be a little bit corrupt
those FIFA fellas.
Speaker 3 (13:23):
Who would have thought.
Speaker 1 (13:24):
When he literally tried to bring in a thing that said,
oh you can just pay us to feel bid.
Speaker 3 (13:29):
It's a huge organization, isn't it FIFA? Yeah, they still
got the secret room at FIFA headquarters in Switzerland. Yeah,
I think so ye, where all devices are blocked. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (13:39):
Yeah, they've got like an electromagnetic thing that stops you
from being able to Yeah.
Speaker 3 (13:43):
I think it's underground. Yeah, it's probably where they dish
out their bags to people and all blacks Forwards coach
Jason Ryan expects every one of the All Blacks forty
four strong squad to play on the greatest rivalry tour
of South Africa. Ryan says the wider coaching team have
already penciled in selections through to the first Test against
the Springboks, saying minutes need to be shared around the squad,
(14:05):
meaning meaningful minute.
Speaker 1 (14:06):
I means Tannistows Smith needs to be shared among the squads.
Speaker 3 (14:09):
That's going on there.
Speaker 1 (14:10):
Yeah, well that's Dave Rennie said straight off the rip
that Boden bar will be starting at first five against
the storm Merz. So they've obviously got a plan there.
But when you are the coach of a squad that
has forty four dudes, you don't want anyone dropping lip
because she's a long tour. So you go, right, you're
all going to play, and then you go, oh'sit for you?
Speaker 3 (14:29):
And I know exactly what's going to be happening with
those South African teams playing as well. They're going to
be told how to play. Yeah, you must if them
up and it's go hard yeah, and it'll be a
great opportunity for them. I mean those teams to play
the All Black steez. You can imagine there's always the
case when low irons say, come to music.
Speaker 1 (14:46):
I've actually got a conspiracy theory on this All Black Squad.
I unveiled it yesterday on the Agenda podcast. Maybe after
Metallica I can like an unveil it to a wider
audience here.
Speaker 3 (14:57):
I think after Metallica is the perfect time to unveil.
Sparrison do it before tell.
Speaker 1 (15:04):
But yeah, I've got I've got a conspiracy theory. Goes
all the way to the top.
Speaker 2 (15:08):
Jerry Andman nine the Hdiarchy breakfast.
Speaker 3 (15:11):
And forward hearing this conspiracy theory that goes all the
way to the top of New Zealand rugby goes all
the way to the top. Actually, Okay, So we talked
about a.
Speaker 1 (15:20):
While ago that Richiemonga was going to be returning to
this country and that he would not be back in
time to be eligible for selection for the All Blacks
to go over to South Africa.
Speaker 3 (15:31):
That is what's happened.
Speaker 1 (15:32):
So now the only way that this that he could
get into the All Blacks squad for this tour is
if he played one game of NPC, which he did
and basically single handedly won that game, then he is
now eligible to be called into the squad if there
is injury shortage in the squad.
Speaker 3 (15:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (15:54):
And I was saying this a few months ago. I said,
if I was the coach, I would pick a first
five that I had no intention of playing. I take
him over to South Africa. As soon as Richie Moe
plays his first game, I call that first five into
my office and I go, how's your hamstring.
Speaker 3 (16:13):
Feeling, mate?
Speaker 1 (16:14):
He goes good, Sorry, I'm wanna ask you again, how's
your hamstring feeling?
Speaker 3 (16:17):
Mate?
Speaker 1 (16:18):
Look, I've given you an All Black Jers. You're gonna
make a lot of money off of this out of
the course of your career. When you gave it to
Japan and you gave it to France, you can now
say that you're an All Black.
Speaker 3 (16:24):
That's what I've done for you.
Speaker 1 (16:25):
Now what you're gonna do for me is your how's
your hamstring feeling?
Speaker 3 (16:30):
All right?
Speaker 1 (16:30):
And that player I think might be Josh Jacob no
no shots to just Jakub, a wonderful player, had an
incredible campaign with the Chiefs.
Speaker 3 (16:43):
Sounds like a shot to Josh check.
Speaker 1 (16:45):
But if I look at the squad, a debutante first five,
that would be the one that if I was the coach.
You know, I see I debuted this theory about a
month ago before the squad was packed, and I was like,
you watch, I reckon, they're going to pick a first
five that they have no intention of playing.
Speaker 3 (16:59):
I've got another question for you. Yeah, do you think
that forty four seems like an odd number to take?
Wouldn't that seem better if it was forty five three
four teams? Are we sure that there wasn't just one
little space that was available there? I mean I would
take forty five personally. If you said to me, Okay,
(17:20):
you can either take forty four or forty five players, yeah,
I'd say forty five. Thanks. It's three actual teams and
obviously not with preserves, but that's three teams. Yeah, and
it's a nice number. Forty five. Forty four is a
weird number. Okay, yes, it's two twenty two's yeah, but
forty five, that's what he said. So I'm saying he's
(17:42):
just going to turn up as the forty fifth player.
Oh yeah, now that he's played. Yeah right, No, Well,
there needs to be an injury crisis. Someone's going to
be injured otherwise they can't call him. And remember this
having with Lester Fongnuku.
Speaker 1 (17:56):
Last year he came back, played one thirteen minutes for
the Marko and then came back into the.
Speaker 3 (18:00):
Okay, but who decides how many people we take to
say like South Africa, don't say you're only allowed to
bring a certain amount of It's not the World Cup. Yeah,
you know, we're allowed to take his met We could
take a hundred players if we wanted to.
Speaker 1 (18:11):
Yeah, well they're playing one hundred players.
Speaker 3 (18:13):
So you go. But also, so I think we are
taking forty I think there's space provision for forty five
and we've got forty four, and Richiemuong is going to
be called in as the forty fifth. He can't. There
has to be an injury. Can't he just say now
I'll played the game. No that, let's say it one
more time. Yeah, then I'm gonna start swinging.
Speaker 1 (18:35):
There has to be an injury for him to be
brought into the squad, because because that's what the rule is,
he wasn't named in the initial squad. You can't just
add players to the squad, Willie Nelly, but you can
bring them in for injury cover. Okay, So welcome back
to the start of my conspiracy. There if someone's gonna
get injured.
Speaker 3 (18:51):
I know. No, I'm just trying to work out who
decides the rules that you can how many places you
can take it.
Speaker 1 (18:56):
This is what we were saying before the thing. Why
not just pack them. We've decided these rules ourselves as
New Zealand Rugby. So why did we decide that we're
not allowed to do something that we want to do.
We could just change the rule if we wanted to, surely, yeah, surely.
Speaker 3 (19:07):
But anyway, okay, so you're thinking a hamstring.
Speaker 1 (19:10):
I'm thinking, oh, hipflixer. It's one of those ones that
the hipflix is the one that you can't test for. Yeah,
it's like, how's a Netflix? It no good, We're going
to take your word for it.
Speaker 3 (19:21):
What about Verdigo or something like that? Oh, I mean
something strange, something in the head.
Speaker 1 (19:25):
When Will Jordan was out for inner ear issues, you
know what's inside you eat your brain, that's one of those.
Speaker 2 (19:33):
Jerry and Mania, the Hodarchy breakfast, Jeremy Wells and the
Nie Stewart the Darkey Breakfast.
Speaker 3 (19:41):
So the Commath Games has wrapped over in Glasgow, get
on Glasgow, picking up the baton and running with it.
After the Australian decided that it couldn't run the Comath Games.
Could you pronounce the name correctly, please, Jerry, classical Glasgow, Glassgowl.
Speaker 1 (19:55):
I don't know why, but we've all of a sudden
adopted the Glaswegian pronunciation of that city, Glasgow.
Speaker 3 (20:02):
Well, it's like the same thing people do when they
start talking about partis yeah yeah. Or I've always thought
the Tour de France is an interesting one. Do you
say the tour they say the Tour de France or France,
but so it's not France, right, but they are, but
they are keen to say the part. So you've got
the Tour de which is obviously tour of why don't
(20:24):
we translate? And then instead of saying France, which just
how people in France say France, they say France. Yeah. Yeah,
So in front all of the all of the thing,
it's mixing it up. Tour to Southland wouldn't be doing
much tour to Southland today with all the snow.
Speaker 1 (20:38):
No, in fact, we're just talking about it before and
I made of my message and misses me directly that
one of our mates from back the day crashes car
and dunners in the snow definitely a black diamond run
that one.
Speaker 3 (20:50):
Oh yeah, well, I know that there's one corner in
particular where a TVNZ cameraman who's been working there for
forty years Ross shout out to Ross. He just he
knows exactly the spot and he goes to a particular corner.
It's kind of up by Maori Hell a little bit
that way, you know, high Street kind of way. I
don't know what that area is called Inderneena. It's just
above the city there turn lift of the bog sort
(21:12):
of area. Yeah, that sort of area, and there's a
there's a corner and cars come down on the ice
and then they just go don't turn and just go straight.
Yeah yeah, And he just sits there, just waits. Henry
reports of black diamond runs. Let us know it's three four.
It three.
Speaker 1 (21:24):
But we wanted to talk about the Colm Games because
they've just come to an end. We're talking about it
briefly yesterday and it got us thinking like, how in
what ways could you improve it? Because I for me,
I'm looking at weightlifting, I'm looking at the combat sports
that you're boxing, your your judo, your greco romance.
Speaker 3 (21:44):
Why do they that's the one where they wrestle in
the note, Okay, that hogout Greco Roman.
Speaker 1 (21:51):
Why do they have weight limits and then other sports don't.
So for example, like, wouldn't you love to see the
super heavyweight high jump? So we're talking one twenty kilo
plus and they do the high jump, you know, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (22:06):
Why wouldn't you Why wouldn't you want to wage that? Yeah?
I mean because obviously the idea of the weight division
is because there's a massive advantage for people who are
you know, heavier, they can generally lift more weight. Bigger
people can lift more weight.
Speaker 1 (22:19):
Or another way to look at it that that is
a disadvantage for people who are lighter.
Speaker 3 (22:22):
Yeah, that's right.
Speaker 1 (22:23):
So then they introduce these so that it gives people
who can't compete with the super heavyweights a.
Speaker 3 (22:27):
But more of a legal Yeah. So what about the
other way around as you see it, Yeah, people who
are much heavier, they can't get themselves up over the
top of the bar, so maybe they should be but
they can't do why.
Speaker 1 (22:37):
Should they be excluded? So that was where I that
was my first thought was weight limits on other things.
Speaker 3 (22:42):
Yeah, the super heavyweight high jump I'd like to see, Yeah,
you would watch that? Yeah, I'd also like to see
say a flat foot four hundred so people a four
hundred meters race just with people with flat feet.
Speaker 1 (22:53):
Yeah, I'd enter into that. I've got devastatingly flat feet.
Will you allow orthotics in here or do we have
the we do we have to yea way along there.
Speaker 3 (23:03):
They cannot be authotic aorthotics like steroids in that situation.
He's been accids of using athonics in the in the
flat foot four hundred, No, I think you've got to
win no shoes.
Speaker 1 (23:12):
I reckon though, much like Zoe Hobbs, I'd go good
in the wit because of those flat foot I was
just about bearfoot wader ski at low speed.
Speaker 3 (23:18):
At those things. You know the line up, you know
where they're lining up for the race, and they go
through the name. At that point you know there's actually
a camera that's going along the feet, and so you're
looking at the you go up and you go down
the body and then you see the feet.
Speaker 1 (23:31):
Look at the Look at the severe overpronation here on
the athlete out of Waymanty, South Canerbury.
Speaker 3 (23:36):
I mean a great reveal.
Speaker 1 (23:37):
Yeah, it's like looking at his jack is an incredible jeez.
Look at that have a gootther trotters on it.
Speaker 3 (23:44):
I mean, what about say people who are worth child
I mean a pregnant pole vault for example, Yes, very inclusive,
a video third tri mister, pregnant pole vault? Love it?
High risk?
Speaker 5 (23:55):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (23:56):
Yeah, maybe you've gotta say high risk.
Speaker 1 (23:57):
Maybe you'd want to go something a little less, like
a little closer to the ground pants.
Speaker 3 (24:02):
For the for the third trimester? Yeah maybe? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (24:06):
What about give me the herstute gentleman's hundred meters freestyle
so and the pole in the pool, and it's just
guys who you know, because they're always waxed within and
into their life, and the pool for hydrodynamics. Yeah, what
if you you know, in the interest of representation, just
here he guys that would.
Speaker 3 (24:24):
Look good as well, say, if it was freestyle, you
could see their backs, yep, you could see the heir
as it went through the water.
Speaker 1 (24:30):
And then you can compare the times with people who
were waxed within and into their life. Yeah, you know,
the huge gentlemen hundred meter freestyle.
Speaker 3 (24:36):
I'm thinking the more track and field events, like like
an ingrind toenail fifteen hundred meters, so people with ingrond toenails.
They're in, they're in shoes, they're in the track shoes,
and they've got to somehow run fifteen. So it's not
just about tactics. It's not just about who's fitter. It's
about who can withstand the pain. Yeah, ingrand toenails and
(24:56):
running in small shoes.
Speaker 1 (24:57):
I'm looking at and they'll all have you know, when
someone's got an inground tone old or something like that,
the tip of their shoes always frayed at the top
because the tonail has been rubbing against it working through socks.
See you zoom in on that, and then then you
pan up to the winds on their faces. They load
themselves into the starting blocks. I think for me that
the clearest one, the most obvious one, is the huge
(25:19):
hog hurdles. So it's guys with an absolute hog on them. Yeah,
and they are doing the hurdles because that at that
point is the disability. Yeah, And so you know, you
jump in over there. It's like, well, here comes the
athlete out of New Zealan. He's got an absolute hog
on them. How's that going to play into this?
Speaker 3 (25:35):
Yeah, well you got to get that thing over the
top of that. Also, great over the top of the
hurdle thing. Also great for that slow mo angles from
that from the end of the track looking back. Yeah,
and you're running towards it.
Speaker 1 (25:47):
He is listed at six foot and nine inches. Those
are two separate measurements. We take a part in one
hundred meter hurdles. This one and I know what you're thinking,
that's a bit sexist for the ladies.
Speaker 3 (25:56):
The offers. You'd watched that one't you again? The slow mos,
the a hurdle, the replay Steve chased, the one where
they jump into the water. Any suggestions three four eight
three achre.
Speaker 1 (26:10):
Cad anyone like to distance themselves from this.
Speaker 2 (26:14):
Jury? In the night they breakfast.
Speaker 1 (26:17):
So we're talking about ways to improve the Commonwealth Games.
Some things like installing weight limits, weight divisions for various
different things like the super heavyweight high jump, the flat
foot four hundred pregnant pole vault, who shoot hundred meter freestyle,
the ingrownd tonel fifteen hundred meters or the huge hog
hurdles all for the women, the huge yoppers.
Speaker 3 (26:39):
You'd have to also have a particular you know, measurement
that you're doing there, which would be quite interesting. Yep.
Speaker 1 (26:46):
Complex the displacement test, I think at institute. Unfortunately he
has failed to qualify for the huge hog hurdles. Just
it's been disqualified.
Speaker 3 (26:56):
It's been disqualified.
Speaker 1 (26:57):
A few texts have been coming through on three three.
Someone said, this is why we need a height limited
basketball league. That's not a bad idea.
Speaker 3 (27:06):
It does seem as unusual, isn't it that you would
limit it on a number of other reasons for another
other reasons other sports, But then that one there as
a clear advantage of your tool. Yes, so I think
the way you would do it would be you've got the.
Speaker 1 (27:17):
Ten foot hope league, which is the normal one, then
you get a nine foot league, then you get an
eight foot league.
Speaker 3 (27:22):
Oh yeah, you know, and then yeah, okay.
Speaker 1 (27:24):
Because this is something that anybody who's played in a
basketball team will know. If you got hold of one
of those hopes where you could lower it at the
end of basketball trainings, we used to lower the hope
to eight feet and just have ourselves. You felt like
you were in the NBA. Yeah it was good fun.
You just shout of rolling a trampoline out onto the court.
Has text in the gout fifteen hundred. That would be
(27:44):
difficult running with the gout. I'm told I've not ever
had gout, but I'm told which is uric acid built up,
isn't it? And that particularly comes through the big toe. Yeah,
I'm told incredibly painful by Jason Hoyt, who suffers from
gout quite a lot. Yes, what about Bunyan basketball, Bunyan basketball, Yeah,
Bunyan Sure, the Tweaker Batton relay.
Speaker 3 (28:06):
So I'm assuming that that means that people have got
to be out awake for maybe three or four days. Yeah,
I would say so.
Speaker 1 (28:13):
So for example, the athlete from the Republic of South
Africa has been disqualified.
Speaker 3 (28:17):
It was found they were asleep in their room this morning. Okay, Yeah,
so you've got to stay awake for three days and
then run a relay four x one hundred. Imagine the
weird body situation, out of body experience that would be.
I've actually done that before, a.
Speaker 1 (28:32):
Similar one on the Bunyan The Bunyan Bob's lead have
about the pension Paralympics. So you get everyone who's on
the pension sixty five and above and they have to
go through and do it.
Speaker 3 (28:41):
Okay, I feel like there is that actually already exists,
doesn't it. There is something as Golden Oldies where people
can go along and run the Golden Odies one hundred meters.
In fact, if you look it up on the internet,
there's there is every age group, every age bracket has
the fastest ever recorded time for particular distances.
Speaker 4 (28:58):
Oh, isn't it Rod Stewart for one hundred very well
nine year olds or something like that.
Speaker 3 (29:03):
Yeah. Well, what's interesting is you should go and have
a look at, say you know a distance that you
can run, say five k's for example, and have a
look at the fastest ever five k were to run
four no, for like eighty and you see if you
could beat the fastest ever eighty year old over a
particular distance as a thirty year old, you'd be surprised
how quick they are.
Speaker 1 (29:23):
Yeah, quack yeah. So we were talking about the pregnant
pole volt. We said, potentially you'd want to do something
a little bit closer to sea level. This persus ticks
through third trimester swimming events. Effectively, it's submarine racing.
Speaker 3 (29:38):
I mean the backstroke would make sense to me as
a race as a third trimester swimming race.
Speaker 1 (29:43):
Yeah, quite hard, wouldn't wouldn't your natural inclination be to
roll over.
Speaker 3 (29:48):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (29:49):
Someone else said commonweth games could lean into skateboarding and
climbing in the more extreme sports, but just light parts
of the course on fire. So here you come up
to the rail. Here you're going to grind the rail,
but the rails on fire.
Speaker 3 (30:00):
Oh yeah, don't mind that.
Speaker 1 (30:02):
What about a streaker clause so a crowd member can
join the event if they do it nude, and it's
in one fluid motion from jumping the fence to performing
the event.
Speaker 3 (30:09):
Oh I like that. I also like just that they'd
run a streak of Olympics on the outer field, so
there's a there's a closed off area where if you
really want to view it, you can go along and
view it. You know, your kids don't have to Maybe
who kids could sing nude people, but anyway, that's always
a concern for some people. And but if if you
can go along on the outer field and watch nude
people participating in pretty much the same events.
Speaker 1 (30:30):
Yeah, no, I like that, you've watched that. How about
this track cycling with affordable bikes? So the one hundred
dollars an undercategory, like you got like a second hand
rally twenty yep and you gotta have on the velodrome
the Dragonharts Games. One hundred meters sprint and seven seconds
cross the line and your head explodes. Don't mind that
heavy eight hundred meters. How about the Hernia high jump?
Speaker 3 (30:51):
Oh okay, so you're high jumping with a herney. You're
just hoping that the thing doesn't explode through your skin.
Speaking of exploding through your skin, the.
Speaker 1 (30:59):
Ibs pole vault, all dangerous, and then this one, the
heart on hurdles.
Speaker 3 (31:05):
Keep those coming in three, four, eight, three. Some good
suggestions you think when you're all.
Speaker 2 (31:11):
Right, Jerry and nine the hot I key breakfast.
Speaker 3 (31:16):
Because we're talking about how to improve the Commonwealth Games.
Maybe adding some weight divisions into different track.
Speaker 1 (31:23):
Yeah, someone said the Hernia high jump, the Ibs pole vault. Also,
someone said the the affordable bike track cycling so under
one hundred dollars and I said, oh, yeah, like a
second hand rally twenty. Someone said, have you priced a
second hand rally to any recently?
Speaker 3 (31:37):
Oh? That quite, it's not under a hundred bucks. Yeah,
I mean you get a healing sexteen. It'll be interesting
to see how quickly some one of those things can
go around the track.
Speaker 1 (31:44):
We were talking about the ingrown toenail fifteen hundred meters,
which would be quite painful.
Speaker 3 (31:49):
How's this one for you? The hemorrhoid kayaking blind Discus.
Careful with that one. That one, you've got to not
be standing around on the side. You've got to be very,
very careful with blind discuss.
Speaker 1 (32:02):
What about the post COVID Respiratory Issues Marathon sponsored by
Winfield riz Canna Hole Gulf It's not bad? And bipolar Archery.
Speaker 2 (32:15):
Jerry and Men, The Hodarchy Breakfast.
Speaker 6 (32:18):
Daily bespoke content that you won't find on the radio
show The Hordake Breakfast Podcast.
Speaker 1 (32:23):
We are buying a shark, and I think I think
it's important at this stage of the shark buying process
to look.
Speaker 3 (32:31):
Back and see how we got here.
Speaker 1 (32:32):
I think some people have gotten a little bit confused
and thought that it was some sort of reaction to
the big show buying a pigeon. I don't know what
the natural the tie in is between shark and pigeon.
Speaker 3 (32:47):
But there is it. There is.
Speaker 1 (32:49):
You know that dar are adjacent, and the fact that
I just downloaded an app found that you could track
these great white sharks around his zeland. Saw that some
of them were named after businesses, and thought, hey, great
marketing strategy for us. Went to the business and said
the company and said, hey, have we got any Have
we got any budget? And they said, Kezy spent it
on a pigeon which raced over the weekend. Don't I
(33:11):
don't know how it went.
Speaker 3 (33:12):
I got eaten by a by a hawk on the
way home to its loft.
Speaker 1 (33:18):
So we went, still want to buy a shark because
I think that's you know, it's a swimming billboard for
this for the station. And then we found out how
much they were. We got the guy on from sustained
doctor Royley Elliott from Sustainable Ocean Society four three hundred dollars.
My mess has asked me last night, where does that
money go that actually buys the tag?
Speaker 3 (33:36):
That's how much the tag costs. Yeah, and that's the
tag that they place into the shark and then it
swims around with that tag and that's how you can
track it.
Speaker 1 (33:42):
So we said, look, bugger, we're going to go fundraiser.
We're going to go give a little.
Speaker 3 (33:46):
Now.
Speaker 1 (33:46):
This is usually reserved for causes with.
Speaker 3 (33:50):
The drying children, except.
Speaker 1 (33:52):
Yeah, that's right, whereas in this instance we just want
to buy a shark. Look, there is a conservation element
to it. That's not why we're doing it. We just
want to own a shark. Sharks are sick. Wouldn't it
be sick to be able to say you own a shark.
Speaker 3 (34:02):
Then the great moment came when champion golfer Ryan Fox
was listening to the show and decided to weigh in
and donate five hundred dollars very generously. Yes, he said,
you guys are legends. Don't give it a shit name.
So that made it very interesting because that meant that
all of a sudden, you could be part owner in
a shark with champion golfer Ryan Fox. Which you got
to say that if someone asked you when you were
(34:26):
ten years old, one day you and they said to you,
I'll tell you what you're going to be. One day
You're going to be your part owner and a shark
with champion golfer Ryan Fox, you'd be like, I'd never
thought of it. I'm in. And you can do that
for as little as a cup of coffee. Date.
Speaker 1 (34:38):
Now you can do it for like I don't I
don't actually know what the minimum is. I know that
you can donate less than a dollar because someone did
that last night, and I think they Here's the thing.
I don't know how to turn off the automatic email updates.
So every single time someone makes a donation, I get
an email. You'll see it here. Someone's just done it. Now,
(34:59):
don't give a little is popped up on my screen.
Someone's just done another one. Someone someone just gotten onto
that and so they've started donating it like one in
the morning.
Speaker 3 (35:08):
It did get me last night. I woke up in
the middle of.
Speaker 1 (35:10):
The I was like, should have I slipped in? I
was like, oh no, someone's donated thirty four cents to
the shark. Anyway, when you donate, you can also write
a little comment that's usually reserved for you know, when
you're donating someone's medical treatment.
Speaker 3 (35:23):
It's like hanging there, buddy.
Speaker 1 (35:24):
What we're using it for is tell us the name
of the shark or any admind that you've got around
the shark. So, for example, someone want to call it
Shark of Power. There's a lot of Yopper related names
that are coming through there. How about this one here
from Willie the Waiter? Is there like a sheared calendar?
When we get to use the shark got a bit
of utu un planning. Great, what would be great to
(35:45):
sit on people I have beef with no, no, no.
Speaker 3 (35:47):
Okay, yeah, well that would be a kind of a
remote control shark situation. The the located betn that goes
inside of the shark. You can't actually remotely control of
the sharks, or we don't think so anyway.
Speaker 1 (35:57):
No, and I put it pretty clearly in there. You
have no rights over the shark, like you can't. You
don't get to go and grab it or whatever. But
also no responsibilities, so you don't have to clean up
after any VP bells, which I don't think sharks have.
Speaker 3 (36:10):
You're not on the hook for.
Speaker 1 (36:12):
And if it tears a surfer apart on the Gold Coast,
that's not your responsibility either, or at least I hope.
Guest donor, who donated twenty dollars said, lucky for the
group buying the shark. I have a batch on the
South coast and I surf in the Fovo Straight, which
is where they hang out. I can help with hand
feeding him some lamb oysters or flounder and making sure
he stays well fed, or I would make sure he's
(36:34):
hanging out with his mates in the Great South in
the Great South Great White Breeding Ground. Win Frisky also
could host any shark group mates at my South Coast
Batch for ocean voyage to meet the Big Fellow Southern
Hospitality name suggestion Snappy Gilmore.
Speaker 3 (36:47):
Okay, the question I've got is that can we choose
our shark when we come to because there are a
whole lot that don't have names right that are a
moment that have been tagged. They are swimming around at
the moment. Do we get to choose the size of
our shark? No, because we're buying the tag. We give
them the tag.
Speaker 1 (37:06):
They need to go out, ah find a shark, put
the tag on a fresh new weat shark.
Speaker 3 (37:11):
So currently all tag sharks are named No.
Speaker 1 (37:14):
Okay, but but yeah, so I don't know it's going
to come down to watch whatever shark that luck of
the drawer.
Speaker 3 (37:21):
Really Okay, what do you want? You want a bigger one?
I want a big one. Yeah, I want a big
I want a big sucker. I did too amazing to
follow the show. So, okay, where are we sitting? You see?
One hundred and sixty nine people have so far Donut donated.
Speaker 1 (37:35):
A grand total of three thousand, four hundred and eighty six.
So as it stands, we're under one thousand dollars away.
This thing will run till nine am on Friday morning,
so but I don't think it'll get there. I think
this will be done by the end of tomorrow. So
if you want the opportunity to say that you own
a shark with us and Ryan Fox, then get a
Google Hodaki shark.
Speaker 3 (37:55):
Go to the give a little page chipping. Yeah, you
be again in there quick, because you're right. That's probably
he got another day, maybe two on that one.
Speaker 1 (38:03):
Natalie's just shipped in Tim Barks contributing on behalf of
Rye aged seven. Ever, Chuck Fan would be over the
moon saying he owns one, because that's the story.
Speaker 6 (38:11):
Headtel Jerry and Minnia the Hodoky Breakfast Rudas.
Speaker 3 (38:15):
Saying this one's gettable. Three hundred dollars worth of Bunnings
vouches up for grabs this morning, and it's academic. Give
us a call eight hundred Headache. We'll ask you five questions.
You'll have forty five seconds to answer them. You just
got to get three correct to win the three hundred
dollars Bunnings vuch. It's got the lines, will we find
Tim from Auckland? Good morning, Tim, how are you going morning? Good?
Are you good? Thank you? You're from Auckland. What school
(38:38):
will you be representing?
Speaker 5 (38:40):
Taka poona?
Speaker 3 (38:44):
Not on there? Really not on there, Tim, famous alumni Lord, Yep, Murray,
Deeka Jecks something something in the water. There isn't there
two ends of the spectrum? Yeah? Yeah, what he ended?
Speak from you on?
Speaker 5 (39:01):
Tim?
Speaker 3 (39:01):
You? What's up?
Speaker 5 (39:06):
I'm bright and snack bang in the middle. I reckon?
Speaker 3 (39:08):
Okay, you would say, wouldn't say that you're more murried
decer than Lord? Yeah?
Speaker 5 (39:12):
Maybe I'm more on the Murray end.
Speaker 3 (39:13):
Yeah, honest. Good on your Tim. You haven't been surveying
Lake Road recently, have you? No?
Speaker 7 (39:20):
I don't. I don't live on the shore anymore.
Speaker 3 (39:22):
Okay, good, cool, good cool. All right, let's get into it.
Three questions is all you need to do, Tim, First
question for Tim three hundred dollars, Bunny's vouches, Bob Saga
played Danny Tanner and what TV sitcom?
Speaker 5 (39:37):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (39:38):
How yes? Who famously scored the first try at the
nineteen eighty seven Rugby World Cup.
Speaker 5 (39:45):
Oh oh, grand fox.
Speaker 3 (39:52):
Now it was Sir Michael Jones. Phi Leishman and Lana
Coocroft hosted Which New Zealand game.
Speaker 5 (39:56):
Show Game of True Heart?
Speaker 3 (40:01):
No, it was Wheel of Fortune. Philadelphia is the capital
of Witch State in the States Pennsylvania. Yes, Witch Band
had the nineteen eighty five had Everybody Wants to Rule
the world? Come on, do it? Come on? Come on,
my god, that's the buzzer beeder from how Too? You
(40:22):
won yourself three hundred dollars worth of Bunnings vouchers.
Speaker 5 (40:25):
You beauty.
Speaker 3 (40:27):
I like the calmness.
Speaker 5 (40:28):
Jeez, thank you very much.
Speaker 3 (40:31):
You knew you had time on that last one, didn't
you did? Did the three to two one countdown? Speak
you all?
Speaker 5 (40:36):
I didn't even hear.
Speaker 3 (40:38):
He was just focused. He was just focused on delivering
the answer. Tears for fears. Congratulations term, great work for
that banger. Good on your mate, Thanks for playing.
Speaker 2 (40:48):
Jury in the night they breakfast.
Speaker 3 (40:51):
Claim Claim to Fame time, Give us a call eight
hundred hodaki or give us a text on three four
eight three. Send us in your claims to fame. No
claim to famous too lame? Yes, that's right. Let's go
straight to the phone lines. Shall we find John? From
Good Morning John? How are you? Oh?
Speaker 7 (41:07):
But Shelly, how are you.
Speaker 1 (41:09):
About any any snow and gore this morning?
Speaker 7 (41:12):
Not not as yet, but she's definitely getting cooler.
Speaker 1 (41:15):
Yeah, I mean there's snow and done as my mum's
just text me this snow and christ Church as well.
How's Gord missed out on that?
Speaker 7 (41:23):
Sometimes it blows right over the top and goes to
leading lucky then?
Speaker 3 (41:28):
Oh yeah, I think that depends on the wind direction,
doesn't it. John? How are you keeping yourself warm today?
What heating options have you got going?
Speaker 7 (41:34):
I've got one cat, yes, two duvets and as a throw,
and I've got my fleece on.
Speaker 3 (41:47):
Okay, are you in bed? John? Or are you on
the couch?
Speaker 1 (41:50):
No?
Speaker 7 (41:51):
I'm in bed because she's about nine as three at
the moment.
Speaker 3 (41:56):
Socks John.
Speaker 7 (41:58):
No, I got a new a new meal and it's
a plowtop and it's it's everybody.
Speaker 3 (42:03):
Wall nice, nice John. That sounds sounds like the dream
you buy yourself and there John, or you've got company
apart from the cat.
Speaker 7 (42:10):
Apart from the cat by the seal, I've got you
guys too well.
Speaker 3 (42:17):
If you're looking at if you're looking for some company
and you Aaron gare listening I'm just pop around to
John's house there. I'm sure there's space. Is there space
in that? What size bead is that? John? That's double Okay?
Who wants the cats on the is? Isn't it? Isn't it?
(42:37):
How big a girl is she? John?
Speaker 7 (42:42):
She would weigh over a stone.
Speaker 3 (42:46):
Okay's one stone and stone?
Speaker 7 (42:48):
Cat she eats what yeah, rabbitts to go out and
get an Greggs baker and eat them.
Speaker 3 (42:58):
Leave him on the door mat for you.
Speaker 7 (43:00):
She's a true country cat. Out and slay something. If
you don't feed us, you'll kill something.
Speaker 1 (43:09):
What's your lame claim to fame?
Speaker 3 (43:10):
John?
Speaker 7 (43:11):
I'm related to a guy that was in the Lord
of the Rings.
Speaker 3 (43:15):
Who was the guy in the Lord of the Rings? John?
Speaker 7 (43:17):
It was one of my boys and he was on
as an extra, and he was on a horse, one
of the biggest horses there, and he was on the
hill and he had a beard on it and sees
you can't recognize me, but I certainly recognized the bloody
horse with he.
Speaker 2 (43:32):
Was a.
Speaker 7 (43:35):
Huge choric. You can't listen. The horse's name was Josh.
Speaker 3 (43:40):
Josh. Okay. Cat wouldn't be dragging that could You can't
bring it down.
Speaker 7 (43:48):
I don't think she'd get there. But she's got four
rats one day and they were outside on the driveway
and each would a capitated no sigment of the gator
not she's what.
Speaker 3 (44:07):
Do you call a killer?
Speaker 7 (44:11):
She doesn't kill birds for some reason, quite hard to catch.
But she loves rabbit. So the good eating, Yeah, they
are good eating.
Speaker 3 (44:19):
I mean i'd go I'd go rab it over a
bird probably if I was to eat something. John, Thanks
for your call, appreciate it always love, have a good day. Yeah,
you stay warm, John, you stay warm.
Speaker 1 (44:30):
Rug up, keep text coming through three for it. So
we love to hear me. Paul from dned and went
to the New Zealand golf open. Bob Charles was playing.
I yelled out, you're the champ. Bob got a wave
your boy, your boy, Bob. I was in Napier some
years ago and went into a cafe. Billy Connelly was
on his way out. He was doing a gig at
(44:52):
the Municipal theater. Billy Connolly Wow from Glasgow. I opened
the door and said, hello, big yin here. Oh for
f sick, I can't age anywhere.
Speaker 3 (45:03):
I was crushed. Is it racist to that accent? But
yein Yeah, I don't know. Is that his nickname? I
don't know.
Speaker 1 (45:09):
It could be could be a spelling steak anyway, Keep
tics coming through three four eight three or give us
a call I eight hundred Hodaki one hundred four to
eight seven two five. A quick update fellows over the
top of smells like teen Spirit.
Speaker 3 (45:20):
We have just ticked over four thousand, three hundred dollars.
Speaker 6 (45:25):
Congratulations Jerry and Midnight, the Hdiarchy Breakfast, Jeremy Wells, and
the Nias Stuet.
Speaker 3 (45:34):
Find them on Instagram at Hodarchy Breakfast.
Speaker 1 (45:37):
We'll get back to Lane Clive's to fame. Keep those
coming through, you may have heard just before at the
start of that song. We've officially ticked over our goal
four thousand, three hundred dollars. Congratulations to everyone who has
bought shears in a shark. Stop donating now, though, because
we've gone over, and I thought, because I'd set the
the goal at four thousand, three hundred that it would
(45:57):
stop once we got to four thousand, three hundred, it hasn't,
and so we're now four thousand, three hundred and forty
four dollars.
Speaker 3 (46:03):
We're going forty four dollars over it. Now.
Speaker 1 (46:05):
The worry here is that this gets deposited into my account.
And so what I don't want is people.
Speaker 3 (46:11):
You don't want the ombirdsmen. I don't want the ombardsmen.
You don't want the ombirdsmen come in and never look
at your account. No, I don't so every so because
obviously we can onlyed. Four thousand, three hundred is how
much it costs to tag the shark and to buy
the tag, and so yeah, every dollar over that. I mean,
I guess it can be donated, but as well it
is going into your account, and it probably will end
(46:32):
up being spent at the pub.
Speaker 1 (46:34):
No, I will pass it on to the Sustainable Ocean Society.
But I do not know how to stop it now.
I think I do I need to take the thing
down or I don't know, you're asking the wrong person here, Yeah,
well no, but I'm saying like, well, I would hate
for people to miss out on the chance to be
part of it.
Speaker 3 (46:52):
To still be part of it. Well, I guess I
guess Sustainable Oceans will be happy to whatever we're going
to give them, you know, at four thousand, three hundre
is what it costs. I mean, four thousand if it's
a little bit over that. Then I'm exactly going to
say what, I don't have to turn their nose up
at it.
Speaker 1 (47:04):
Yeah, but they're also not really come looking for it
if I don't give it to them.
Speaker 3 (47:07):
No, two hundred and twelve generous donors in six days.
So each one of those two hundred and twelve generous
donors will own one two hundred and twelve of a shark.
Yes with Ryan Fox, with Ryan Fox.
Speaker 4 (47:21):
Quick on your brainstorm, let's just say we managed to
get to eight thousand, six hundred, could.
Speaker 3 (47:25):
We just get two sharks? Yeah? Well, this is the thing.
So like a fleet of sharks as to a school?
Are we looking to buy a school? A couple of sharks?
A couple of shark I don't know, a nursery?
Speaker 1 (47:36):
This is already this is already way too much, Edmund
that I didn't want to deal with that. Yeah, I
am in way too deep, and I'm now we've now
overpaid for the shark.
Speaker 3 (47:45):
Well, the good news is that it seems that the
donations have stopped. Okay, good because I've clicked on it
a couple of times, I've refreshed it during the break,
and it seems to have stopped at four thousand, three
hundred and forty four, A nice looking number. I've got
to say, forty three forty four. It is okay, So
are we am I going to?
Speaker 2 (48:02):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (48:02):
I can I can change the closing date? Do I
change it to right now? Now? Yeah? I think, and
then we can stop it. Okay. Look, if you still
want to be part of owning the Shark, please donate
get in there. Because the I was about to close it,
you might be able to be the last person in.
Speaker 1 (48:21):
I can't close it till eight fifty nine, So there
you go. You've got into eight to fifty nine if
you want to be if you want to be part
of this thing, and then we'll just give all of
that when all the money's going to sustainable asses twenty,
which I'll put through the pogies.
Speaker 3 (48:37):
Jeez, that happened way quicker than I thought it was
going to six days six days. We're intended to run
it for two weeks, but it took me about a
week to get it off the ground.
Speaker 2 (48:47):
Congratulations Jerry and Mini the Hodichy Breakfast.
Speaker 3 (48:53):
You just adjust that volume control there they're want to
deafen your hitdiou scrap, it's ten to nine on the
Haadocky Breakfast. So this Saturday night, David Nika is taking
on Australia and Floyd Masson at event find a Stadium
on the North Shore. It's a twelve round world title eliminator.
The winner will get a mandatory shot at the vacant

IBF Cruiserweight World Championship. You can purchase tickets through Duco
Events or you can purchase it via the tvn Z
Plus Event Pass and joining us now the man himself,
David Nika, Welcome to the studio table. Always nice to
see you. I'm glad to be back close to the
scrap man.
Speaker 1 (49:34):
What is it Saturday? Four or five days away? How's
how's training going?
Speaker 8 (49:38):
Yeah, training's essentially done. I'm just fine tuning and I
have a little bit of weight to drop, so that's yeah.
I'm not trying to get any fitted between now and
the fight. I've done so much work. I'm ready for
I'm ready for a holiday. But we've got a big
night of fighting on Saturday.
Speaker 1 (49:57):
You were saying, sorry he was on the way in.
Is on your birthday?
Speaker 3 (50:01):
When's that?
Speaker 2 (50:02):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (50:02):
Yeah, August seventh. Here it's Leo season. Let's go yeah,
that Friday, Yes, Friday. How much? How much sort of
weight do you have to cut? Is it a is
it a big one? So I got in on Friday.
Speaker 8 (50:14):
I was ninety seven point eight when I got off
the plane, and I was like, oh, that that looks heavy.
That's like seven point one kilos I have to drop.
But I'm already four kilos down and I'll pretty much
sweat the rest off, I think.
Speaker 3 (50:30):
In my case, Yeah, I mean you're not thinking sort
of three day bender going into it. Maybe no food,
I win.
Speaker 8 (50:37):
I just like, I've learned a lot in my years
in boxing, but I just switched to a high fat,
high protein diet. So I like, no, no, no, no, no,
it's too much, too much rubbish than that. But it's
like uh protein like fish, eggs, steak, avocado like the
(50:58):
like the high fat, high pro and then drop the carbs,
drop the sodium because I don't want to. I don't
want to be retaining fluid when I want to start sweating.
Speaker 3 (51:06):
So I'm yeah, science, I feel great. I had like
a great coffee this morning. I'm perked up, I'm fully hydrated. Yeah,
I'm happy. Years And then when you hit this, when
you hit the sauna. I don't think I will for
this one. I think I'm gonna sweat it off.
Speaker 5 (51:21):
I got to.
Speaker 8 (51:22):
I made sure my hotel room had a bath because
I think that's one of the most passive ways to
lose weight.
Speaker 3 (51:28):
You just jump in a.
Speaker 8 (51:29):
Bath like forty degrees and you sweat it off.
Speaker 3 (51:32):
Yeah yeah, yeah, and like you jump out and cove
yourself in towels. But I don't think I'm going to
need it, to be honest. Okay, yeah, it seems like
I mean, seven kg is in a week. I don't know.
That seems a lot. I'll put that back on. I'll
put it back.
Speaker 8 (51:45):
I'll get in the ring at ninety seven, I think. Yeah,
I'll rehydrate and wow. Yeah, pancakes, blueberry pancakes.
Speaker 3 (51:53):
That's that's my motivation right now. Yeah. Hell, are you
talk to us about our man Floyd? My song? What
do we know about him? What's the tale of the tape?
Start there?
Speaker 8 (52:03):
Oh? I actually don't know what his record is, to
be honest, he's I think he's had a couple of
losses for maybe twenty five odd wins.
Speaker 3 (52:12):
It'd be shorter than you. Yeah.
Speaker 8 (52:14):
Yeah, he's a he's a he's a workhorse. He's like,
he's like a diesel engine. So here, as long as
his face hasn't fallen a bit, he will be in
front of me for twelve rounds. He's a he's a
seasoned war veteran in boxing, so he's going to be tough.
He's going to be relentless. I'm interested to see what
(52:39):
what game plan he imposes on on Fight Nite.
Speaker 3 (52:42):
But I've got I've got so.
Speaker 8 (52:44):
Many I've got so many fun plans.
Speaker 3 (52:46):
So yeah, we'll see what happens on the night. Oh
that's interesting. So you'll go into about with a with
a series of plans, and then you see how a
boxer boxes you or how they defend or whatever, and
then you can you can change. I know what I
want to do.
Speaker 8 (53:01):
I know what I want to do, but I'm not
expecting him to let me do it. You know, that
would be a bit that would be foolish, right, And
he'll have his game plan and what he wants to do.
I just think I have better tools. He's like, he's
like a Zito, and I'll be like, Makeita right, something
like that.
Speaker 1 (53:21):
Speaking of game plans, we've been talking about boxing strategy
in the in the studio this week. One of the
political parties wants to bring in basically rules where teachers
can forcefully remove students from the classroom. And so there's
a bit of footage going Around'll just show you this.
This is how I deal with the ten year old
who has been a bit disruptive in class. So you
can see that I'm using the range use a jab, yeah.
Speaker 3 (53:43):
Because I'm going to be taller than the ten year old. Right,
and then what are they going to do?
Speaker 1 (53:47):
Some big politician kids, They're gonna want to close the distance.
Speaker 3 (53:51):
You're going to drop an upper cut over. That's my
plan to deal with disruptive kids in the classroom.
Speaker 1 (53:57):
How do you like the Obviously I'll keep my eyes
up and I've got a few different strategies.
Speaker 8 (54:01):
Well, they've if this is the president, you're sitting there there,
they must be allowed to punch back. Yeah, then you've
got anarchy that sounds like.
Speaker 3 (54:09):
Any coming at they're coming at you. Oh so they're
already coming at you. That's why i'm certainly dropping up
walking into it and I'm slumping them.
Speaker 8 (54:19):
Are they coming for a double leg or like are
they coming to pick you up?
Speaker 3 (54:22):
Or if I'm keeping them at range.
Speaker 1 (54:24):
They're gonna want to close the camp and that's where
they walk into an Africa wake up on the nurses, right.
Speaker 3 (54:29):
Yeah. See, my first feeling was David that that if
I was exactly the same, I just kept them with
the jab jab jab, because clearly, if you've got a
ten year old, you've got probably some kind of rich advantage,
particularly for me. But then my my natural thought was
overhand right when they came on the inside at that point,
because they're going to have to come at some point
at you. You know, if they're coming at you, they
(54:50):
can't if you're jabbing them, you're going to keep them
at distance. But but yesterday Shane Cameron came on the
show and he was suggesting that the overhand right, You've
got to be careful with the overhand rise because you
don't want to give them the top of the head
to break your hands.
Speaker 8 (55:05):
That's that I've broken both my hands, and every time
they've broken it's been on heads. So I'll old, like,
I think what would be less damaging, because you know,
like it looked terrible and like the in the newspaper
with like a kid with a big black eye, I
would I say you Sparta kicked them because they were
(55:25):
they like, who would expect that coming from the teachers
strap to the.
Speaker 3 (55:29):
Chest, you know, like, okay, yeah, for some reason, I've
taken feet out of play.
Speaker 8 (55:34):
Yeah yeah, straight to school yard white Yeah, scraps with
with a tenure old.
Speaker 3 (55:40):
Yeah. Well the other option is just to go full
Greco Roman stripped down nude and then just write I'll
get running when you're a grand man and you come
out and I'll run the last time I've seen the
dad and the bar. They haven't seen that in a
long time. So you can get tickets. You don't get
(56:05):
him out of it versus Floyd mass on this Saturday night.
You can get tickets purchased through events. Also purchase it
to via the TV and Z plus event past Avenue.
It's always such a pleasure when you come in. Best
of luck this Saturday night. Thank you, give me a
taste Hiichie breakfast.
Speaker 2 (56:24):
Jerry and Midnight the Whichy Breakfast.
Speaker 3 (56:26):
So we do Lang claims to fame on Tuesdays. This morning,
we got a little bit way late because we were
focused on the shark. It was approaching three thousand, four hundred,
four thousand, three dollars, which was our which was our
target amount.
Speaker 1 (56:41):
And then when it ticked over there and kept going,
I'll get a little bit worried. So we're going to
leave that open till Friday. There is a chance that
we were going to have two sharks, which I've been
It's been brought to my attention on the text machine
that the collective noun for a shark is a shiver.
So someone's saying, are we going to have potentially a
shiver of sharks by Friday?
Speaker 3 (57:00):
Act? Maybe? Is how many is a shiver? It's got
to be probably three. I would have thought three or more.
Speaker 1 (57:05):
Let's just see how this plays out. Let's just see
how this plays out. But anyway, yes, it did waylay
lame claims to fan. So we're gonna work through a
few presently callum sticks set through this one on social media. Actually,
I did a quiz night with Zoe Hobbs's step cousin.
Speaker 3 (57:21):
Oh wow, a quiz night was I mean, how did
you even know that you were Zoe? How do you
know that you did a quiz night with Zoey Hobbs's
step cousin. Cousin? Can you have a step cousin?
Speaker 1 (57:33):
So it would be their step father's siblings, kid, I guess,
or step mother's siblings kid.
Speaker 3 (57:40):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (57:41):
He also followed up and said, I submitted this late
last week, but it's a bit less lame this week.
Speaker 3 (57:46):
That's true with Zoe Hobbes taking out that Commonwealth Games
gold and the one hundred Women's Meet us.
Speaker 1 (57:52):
Yeah, this one I'm a big fan of. We gave
Kim dot com the wrong directions to the North dmcas
circa twenty thirteen. Sorry, man, to the what the North
D North D? Yeah, that's the Dunedin maccas. Oh wow,
North D Machas. I once was at that maccas. It's
in a place called or at least we used to
call it Fatty Lane, so that all the different fast
(58:15):
food outlets were there. One day we went in there
and one of my mates started buying chicken nuggets and
he's like, I'll get twelve.
Speaker 3 (58:23):
Someone goes, can you get twenty four?
Speaker 1 (58:25):
Because we might one was twenty four, and then someone
else goes get thirty six, and someone else goes get
forty eight. In the end, he bought himself something like
one hundred nuggets, and when he walked out, the bouncer
there's a security guard on the door.
Speaker 3 (58:37):
He goes, how many nuggets is that?
Speaker 1 (58:39):
And he goes, oh, it's like one hundred and twelve
or whatever, and he goes, you know, the records, one
thirty and so he went back and ended up buying
the record amount of chicken nuggets from North Da maccas. Wow,
one thirty nuggets was something like that. Yeah, you end
up being like the pied Piper of nuggets. Yeah, throwing
them all around North d Yeah. Speaking of twenty thirteen
Soca twenty fourteen at the Foundry in christ Church, Guy
(58:59):
Williams told me if off.
Speaker 3 (59:02):
Flight, wonder what you did. I mean, he's not just
going to wander around telling people to if off or
maybe he.
Speaker 1 (59:08):
Does flight Auckland to Parmi with Bill English when he
was PM.
Speaker 3 (59:13):
He clapped when we landed Auckland to Parmi. Okay, so
it must have been a windy one. I was rejected
by a Lars.
Speaker 1 (59:23):
I was rejected by Eliza McCartney after submitting an inquiry
at a nightclubs at twenty seven.
Speaker 3 (59:29):
Larry Politely, Yeah, I like that Golden medal winning pole
volter Eliza McCartney.
Speaker 1 (59:33):
Yeah, my sister Sharon went to school with Jeremy Wells.
Speaker 3 (59:37):
That's from Russ Sharon, Sharon, Sharon. You don't remember Sharon, No, don't.
Paul's yeah, yeah, yeah, Shairs. I do remember Sharon. Sharon
remembers you.
Speaker 1 (59:49):
I drunk dmned Matt Heath once and he sent me
a book. I met Canadian rugby player Maya Montil at
the SPA last week. She was super generous with her time.
Tom Dylan met Jeremy Wells and then this one here,
