Three weeks into the NBA season, and focusing on the Western Conference, the Rockets appear to be strong contenders among a few others, having shown and sustained flashes of dominance and great production through their recent four-game stretch. Switching gears, opening night for the UH Coogs at the Fertitta Center tips off with a victory, making it the program's 300th win under Coach Sampson, marking his 800th career win also. what four turnovers? So Rockets did the thing. They just
so frustrating. The Rockets play hard, they get the turnovers,
but god, they turned the ball over too carelessly, you know,
just and then bunnies at the room they just miss.

I mean, having a Durant helps make this team different
and shingoon at times. Man, there are times where he
puts his head down, spins and throws up a just
a prayer and I'm like, that's not going in, and

foot but eighteen turnovers against the Celtics and then seventeen
last night. But I mean you underscored it though. I
mean the major difference is having a guy wearing number

he had like maybe ten or twelve points going into
the fourth quarter, and he hadn't made a single three
pointer until the fourth quarter, as you heard Matt Thomas
tell you, and then he knocks down two and crunch
time to kind of salt the game away.

Well, the whole team, I mean, they were not making
threes the whole night. They were like one for eight
after the first quarter. That's the one thing that this
team really needs to continue to work on, is you
know Reed Shepherd when he's got the open the wide
open looks, dude, you gotta make him. They were a
couple of times Jayshawn Tate was wide open from three

and misses it, Like dude, y'all have to make those
Josha Kogi. The way this offense is set up, like
when when when Katie gets the ball and starts to
drive and they collapse and double team him and then
Chagoon at times too, he gets double team when he
kicks it out to you and you're sitting on the
perimeter and you're wide open. You've got to knock down
those stats. This is the NBA.

It did seem like there was a concerted effort to
get to the basket last night. And I mean, you
saw a lot of points for the Rockets at the basket. God,
you saw a lot of points for the Mavericks at
the basket too. I mean, was it Washington that even
posterized Kevin Durant at one point. I'm trying to remember
who it was that that dunked on him. And it
was just like, man, I mean, I'm with you on

on Dallas. I was like, you know, talk about how
hard this Rockets team plays like. I was like, man,
it's pretty impressive how Jason Kidd has that team. I mean,
in some ways, he's got a little bit of both worlds,
where you know, you've got a lot of really young guys,
but you've also got some veteran in presence there. I mean,
you know you mentioned it, Anthony Davis not in the lineup.
It's not like Anthony Davis is that much of a difference.

And then Kyrie, I mean, are we supposed to have
him back anytime soon? I mean, you know, I mean
that's I mean, it's so this this can be a
good Mavericks team.

was dropping dimes. And again, you're good on the rockets.
That's a good win, you're fourth in a row. But

D'Angel Russell's still hanging around the NBA, still getting buckets.
