He'll love that. We got a lot to get into today,
A lot of shit happening.

Speaker 5 (01:41):
What I love that we'll get.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
Into in Comeback Kid is just the NFL's king. A
lot of shit's going on in sportshfl's just king. And
it proved it this week. But this is the pre
come segment. And I had a couple of ideas and things.
What do you want to start us off with anything?
Did you have anything you had to bring in the
pre come segment?

Speaker 6 (02:00):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (02:01):
You know it's half pre come in half of a
little bit of a not cool is that? Normally I
write these things down on my phone over the course
of the week. I'm recording on my phone right now. Yeah.

Speaker 7 (02:12):
Yeah, And I have like, I don't know if you
know this, but if you drink a lot for years
and years on end, your memory doesn't work as good.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
True.

Speaker 7 (02:22):
So there was like three different things and I was
actually good about it this week. I like, normally I'm like,
oh fuck, I forgot to write things down, And I
actually wrote them down this week. Now no way to
access it and can't remember them.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
Yeah, you start talking, I might remember one of mine.
As we go there, we go. That's what we'll be
shooting for.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
Yeah, okay, that's fine. That's fine, bro, that's fine. We're
gonna get through this podcast. I gets crazy how we
did zooms forever and then we got back into doing
it in person and now it's like my brain is
completely broken not being in person again.

Speaker 7 (02:55):
Well, it's also part of like all of the shores
that I have put off for so long. Since sports
is like kind of twittled down playoff style, I haven't
needed my laptop as much because I've had enough screens
and I haven't just been watching things at work. I
forgot until today that, oh yeah, I need to fix
my laptop. Also, that's another chore that I had forgotten them.

Speaker 5 (03:16):
Yeah, that happens.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
I've just been living life and not paying attention to things,
and I'll, oh, yeah, I don't have a working video
screen outside of my phone.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
It happens, bro. All right, Well I'll starts up. I
brought in quite a few things. You are a restaurant
idea I had, Yes, Okay, it's called quack en roll
and it's pretty much exactly what it sounds like. We
serve guawk rolls, and I guess chips, so you can
get guawk in a roll. You can just get regular

(03:48):
playing dinner roll or you get quacking chips. But that's it.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
Maybe we just try and change the restaurant industry forever.
Like listen, your tea chips are great. Everyone knows that
we all love them. You don't realize how many towards
as you're eating. As a time, we're gonna serve ourk
walk with rolls instead.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
But also, like if you like, it's like after after Thanksgiving,
you don't you finger the little roll and you put
a little guak in it like you do with all
of the Thanksgiving ship.

Speaker 5 (04:12):
You mashed potatoes in that bitch.

Speaker 1 (04:16):
I mean I usually I don't try and you know,
violate it, but you know, to each of their own.

Speaker 2 (04:24):
I just rip it open and then it's like a
hot pocket. It's like a little hot pocket.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
You're doing like the sub the sub sandwich thing where
they used to cord the inside, but you're just drilling
your hole into a oh yeah thing.

Speaker 5 (04:36):
The fuck that.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
I mean, it's nice and warm feels.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
Good, yes it is. I mean it doesn't initially, but
you had to like get nice and warm. That's what
we'd have the toasters for but quawking rolls would be uh,
that's a big uh the restaurant idea I had for that,
and then you could have the we built this city
on guack and roll. You could make that commercial and
really that's probably the best part of it all.

Speaker 1 (04:59):
That would be great.

Speaker 7 (05:00):
I mean, also, you could just record parody versions of
all of your favorite songs, turning them into food delivery
type thing.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
I do that all the time at work. Anyway. If
you just started, I just start recording it. I just
harry a microphone around with me everywhere. I could probably
knock out thirty forty songs in a week for us.

Speaker 2 (05:20):
You need to bring back like remember like the it
was like a reporter thing but they had the tiny
little recorder with the baby tape.

Speaker 5 (05:28):
Oh yeah, a teeny tiny tape.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
Remember this, And you would say something and it'd be like, oh,
it's a note for my book. But like people would
go and they'd like be like, all right, hey, coach,
how'd you feel about the third quarter when your quarterback
got sacked you fumbled it and then you just couldn't
convert the red zone. The coach will be talking and
they get all the audio on it and shit, and
they've done a lot better, like technology to where it

(05:52):
just goes to your phone and you're not that the
tiny little tape. But I think it would be funny.
It'd be like Pat's little tape and it's just we
play stuff from your little tape each week.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
That's a great idea. And I will be looking on
Amazon and after this for anyone out there that's probably yeah, dude,
you can just do voice notes on your phone. It's
not the same. I need the little thing. Like if
it's my phone, I'm just gonna grab my phone and
open up Instagram and start scrolling. If I have a
dedicated voice recording apparatus.

Speaker 2 (06:19):
Yes, that's how it'll work, to search through it randomly
and not know where it is exactly instead of just
knowing exactly where it is. But like when I look
at my notes, my notes are a smorgasbordage. Is nonsense.
You would have no idea. It looks like the ramblings
of a madman. It's random gambling things. It's song lyrics
that I'll just hear them like that's a cool that's
a cool quote. Sometimes I'll hear somebody say a quote

(06:41):
and I'll just be like, oh, I'm want to write
that down, don't ever go back to it again. But
like I'm like, I'm going to use this and apply
this to my daily life, and I never do. But
it's always like the good intentions, like you should get
points for, like when I save a workout on Instagram,
It's like, this is a great way to open up
your hips and to stretch out your hips. I'm like,
you know what bookmark that I'm coming back to this

(07:02):
I never do, but I think I should get credit for,
Like Alex did bookmark that. That was cool of you.
You were trying to better yourself there.

Speaker 7 (07:10):
That's actually I here we go. I've got a great
idea for Instagram. They should do like once a week.
It should be like, hey, you bookmarked these five things
this week. Would you like to go back and look
at them? Because I bookmark something within the hour, gone
gone for my memory, and I.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
Bookmarked very few things, so they are things I would
like to go back to.

Speaker 7 (07:33):
I forget that's even a function except for the four
seconds I'm using to actually hit bookmark when I do it.

Speaker 1 (07:40):
So Instagram should add that feature in remind.

Speaker 2 (07:43):
You occasionally go through your book mark' say like, oh fuck,
why did I book mark that and.

Speaker 7 (07:48):
A lot of its recipes and stuff like that. But
you know, I just ordered a new stainless steel pot set.
Oh I need to start working do some recipes.

Speaker 1 (07:56):
Yeah, dude, dude, I'm so jacked up. I'm gonna throw
out some of my old shitty pots that are.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
I know that no one else listening to this probably cares,
but I am hardcore down to discuss some some you know,
cast iron stainless steel shit. After this, I've.

Speaker 7 (08:11):
Never been able to get down cast iron. There's too
much care for the pot that goes into it. Stainless steel,
it's wonderful.

Speaker 2 (08:19):
Dude, you should get one cast iron, especially since you
live alone. What I learned, I thought, like, oh, cast
iron sucks. It's gonna be a pain in the ass.
What you really realized after a minute is like, I
need one dish for the rest of my life. I
don't ever have Like, yes, I have to wash this
immediately after I use it, but all I do is

(08:39):
get all the crap off of it and just kind
of rint, like barely rinse it off and like it
it seasons it and then you just set it back
up there and you're ready to go tomorrow. Whenever we
want to cook anything, it's great. You get a stay
of steel, one for eggs and shit, Okay, cool anything,
it's gonna be really sticky, any sort of meat or
anything right there, boom, and then you just immediately rinse
it off, get a little scrape thing.

Speaker 5 (09:00):
It doesn't even feel like you're doing dishes. It's fun.

Speaker 2 (09:02):
You're scraping shit.

Speaker 7 (09:04):
But that's the problem right there, is I have to
clean immediately after. So often when I cook, that pan
is still soaking in the sink for two days.

Speaker 2 (09:10):
After, right, But once you get past that habit, that
was really what convinced me. I was like, you know what,
I could be a cast down guy and it rocks
because like there's weekends where I'll be like, all right,
I got stuff for burgers, I got stuff for steaks,
I got stuff for chopped cheese or whatever. These are
three bales we're all doing right here.

Speaker 1 (09:27):
And it's just.

Speaker 7 (09:30):
The whole point of me getting the same in the
steel was. Now, when I cook meat on it and
you get that, I forget the word that it is.
But the little meat bits that are like kind of
stuck in the pan right there, I could start making
amazing pan sauces.

Speaker 1 (09:40):
You use that and get a little heavy cream. So
I gotta get heavy cream back in my life. Yeah,
probably not great for my long term health.

Speaker 2 (09:46):
But you know, you know, you can worry about long
term health all you want.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
But I never had before. So we're all gonna die.

Speaker 2 (09:55):
We're all gonna die. We're all gonna die, all right.
No one's getting out of here alive.

Speaker 1 (10:02):
That's true life is Linears saying.

Speaker 2 (10:05):
That's a solid that's a solid investment, though there's nothing better.
Like I remember, getting rid of it was a very
adult feeling. Is getting rid of all the old ones,
like you said, and then like buying the same set,
the just having everything that matches.

Speaker 5 (10:16):
You're like, this is sick. There's not a red.

Speaker 2 (10:19):
Pot and then there's a gray pot over here. It's
like they're all the same color.

Speaker 7 (10:23):
They're all look like the one really big pan I have.
Like if I'm cooking a large like saute, it's not
only is it just densit in one corner.

Speaker 1 (10:33):
I'm staring at it right now. The middle of it
is bubbled up, so everything just falls into the corners
of the pan. Anyway, and you're like, this is taking
twice as long to heat up because the bottom of
the pan is not actually contacting the surface.

Speaker 2 (10:44):
I have a pan that I cook with in the
oven that I always forget because it bends at a
certain temperature, I guess. But you'll just have like stuff
in it and then you'll hear.

Speaker 5 (10:56):
What the fuck happened? Oh never mind, And it doesn't ever.

Speaker 1 (10:59):
Like throw it or like a man.

Speaker 2 (11:02):
But then it just like oh yeah, like it like
just warps. But it doesn't work all the time, only
when it's really hot.

Speaker 1 (11:09):
Yeah. See, I've got like four pans like that, but
only one of them does it. So I'm playing the
let every time I put something in there. I don't
know if it's the band.

Speaker 2 (11:16):
Just put right in the middle, dude, just whatever, man,
hopefully it stays.

Speaker 1 (11:19):
I'm like, God, I hope this isn't the one that's
gonna scare me in mines.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
All right, Well, I had I had some other ideas.
One idea I had. I had a buddy that was
in a wedding a couple of years ago. Not kind
of name names, but I had a friend was in
a wedding party, was a groomsman. One of his best
friends was the guy who was obviously that's why he
was a groomsman. That couple got divorced recently announced that

(11:49):
they were getting divorced. He was coming at me, like, yo,
I spent so much fucking money. We went to Vegas
for a bachelor party. We did this.

Speaker 5 (11:58):
They had like four other parties.

Speaker 2 (11:59):
They did this. We had to do this. I obviously
had to get the tucks, you had to do all
this stuff. He was like, I just don't ever see
that again. I'm never gonna see that money again. That's
just money I will not get back. And I did
it because my friend was in love and I was
so happy with my friend. And he's like, but now
they're not in love, Like I feel like that's not
fair to me. Then I am out that money. And
I got the idea of wedding party insurance, where I

(12:24):
feel like we should start ensuring people in wedding parties.
And I don't know exactly how you do it, but like,
if you're a groomsman or a bridesmaid, you gotta enroll
in this, Okay, cool whatever. I don't know how you pay,
and I don't know what it is, but the rule
would be like the first tier would be one thousand dollars.
If you spend a thousand or more dollars on a

(12:45):
wedding to be in a wedding party, and I get it.
You could just say no, I don't want to be
in the wedding party.

Speaker 5 (12:49):
I understand that.

Speaker 2 (12:50):
But your best friends are really good friends with people
you want to be involved in their special day. I
understand that, and you should celebrate people for their special
day and stuff like that.

Speaker 5 (12:58):
People get a little bit overboard on it.

Speaker 2 (12:59):
You spend like a thousand or more dollars, you should
be able to enroll in this like wedding party insurance
and if within the next five years the couple who's
wedding you are in divorces, they have to pay that
back to you.

Speaker 1 (13:15):
Or maybe you could do it like a sliding scale
of like okay, if you get divorced within the year,
like you, you don't even make it a year. Let's
say that you get seventy five percent of it back
and it drops like ten percent every year.

Speaker 2 (13:30):
That would make sense. I see that could be a
tier that could be the easy, the entry level tier,
and then you have the one where it's like I
spend one thousand dollars. I get all of my money
back with as long as it's within five I think
five years is a good is a good ren like rain,
And then you will other people are They're just gonna
be in relationships they don't want to be in so
they don't have to pay that. Yeah, that's fine. Sometimes
you got to look at money. It's finances.

Speaker 1 (13:51):
Maybe, or they won't get married because they will understand
I'm on the hook for like eight thousand dollars between
eight different guys, or or I better be tan sure
this marriage is real and I'm not.

Speaker 7 (14:02):
Just one of the fifty percent. And that's the other
problem is the insurance would have to go through the
couple who's getting married. There's no actual insurance company is
going to do this.

Speaker 1 (14:10):
When fifty percent of marriages end in divorce, that's way
too high of a payoutrate. For any answer, I think
what your friends should do because I think this will
be funny. Your friend's already divorced. Okay, he's got to
have a sense of humor about it, my friend, That's
what I'm saying. Your freshman, send him an invoice like
a fake like team make up an invoice and be like, hey,

(14:33):
sorry about the divorce, but go ahead and settle this
bill whenever you get to try.

Speaker 2 (14:37):
Fortunately, this insurance policy that I took out fake took
out past the gravy insurance says that you are now
on the hook for eleven hundred dollars.

Speaker 7 (14:47):
Or just be like, listen, if you get married again,
understand you better do a local wedding because I've already
been screwed once by this. I'm not showing out a
bunch of money for your second wedding.

Speaker 1 (14:58):
Now.

Speaker 2 (14:58):
I think you're on your right. Look, bro, I'm not
doing this again. But I also think that maybe there's
a way we should make like the couples have to
agree to this, because then that creates a stronger bond. Noay, like, hey,
if we divorced, when we're splitting up everything, we got
to get throw eight grand back now because our four
bridesmaids and groomsmen each have to get their money back
because they spend a bunch of money. And then also

(15:21):
maybe it just curbs eventually, Like instead of going to
Nashville for seven days, what if we just you know,
went like they did a day trip or weekend trip,
just like a quick little weekend trip where we drove
and we didn't spend eight grand to go out of town.

Speaker 1 (15:39):
Maybe that I've got a buddy's wedding that's coming that
I will not be at. I've said this for years
to everybody I've ever been close enough to. If you
get married out of the country, I wish you your best.

Speaker 2 (15:48):
I'm not coming, And that's also fair.

Speaker 1 (15:52):
Don't destination weddings.

Speaker 2 (15:53):
But that's also fair because I think that's the point
of people having destination weddings, where they're like, I get
to invite all the people that I like that I
would invite anyway, but the likelihood of all of them
coming is very slim, So you kind of eliminate a
large group of people without having to not invite people you.

Speaker 5 (16:08):
Were invited you just didn't want to go to Santrope.

Speaker 7 (16:12):
I think I can count on at least one of
my other buddies that won't make it either because he's cheap.
But I'm kind of worried I will be the only
one of the boys that doesn't make it so this way,
but hey, cross that bridge when we get there.

Speaker 2 (16:25):
It happens, dude, it happens. We're all at different points
of life, right, everybody's in a different point in life.
So yeah, wedding insurance was one that I came up with.
I think that I think there's some legs there.

Speaker 1 (16:39):
It'll be very good for women, especially because they have
to shell out for the dress. Guys we all rent
our tops.

Speaker 2 (16:45):
Yeah, most dudes are not gonna be the guy doing that.
And then but like for girls though, something to think about,
maybe chill out a little bit.

Speaker 1 (16:53):
I think it's a great idea.

Speaker 5 (16:54):
Maybe don't make anybody buy a thousand dollars dress.

Speaker 7 (16:57):
Maybe, and maybe like if you go on all the
trips and everything and then the wedding ends up not
even happening, that's the one hundred percent payback.

Speaker 2 (17:03):
Well, I think I don't even think that's a question.
You shouldn't have to have any sort of interests. You
should be like, hey man, you know this, what are
we doing here? And I understand there's other things like well,
you know, somebody could be it could be infidelity, could
be other sort of thing. I didn't I was still
in the wedding. I did not participate in any of this.

Speaker 1 (17:20):
We've got a runaway bride situation. Bick.

Speaker 7 (17:22):
I'm sorry, beca I know you realize you couldn't marry him,
but you owe me two thousand dollars.

Speaker 2 (17:26):
Yeah, here's the bill.

Speaker 1 (17:29):
I made it for the wedding and you didn't. That's
fucked up.

Speaker 2 (17:31):
That really kind of fights against divorce rates. So really
this might be saving marriages.

Speaker 1 (17:36):
Oh yeah, people stop getting married. Oh no, we're in luck.
You've known each other three months.

Speaker 7 (17:41):
Maybe we need to go back to the five years
and not everyone getting married after a year and a half.

Speaker 1 (17:45):
Two years, it's too quick. You don't know anyone after
two years.

Speaker 5 (17:47):
That's the Alex system.

Speaker 2 (17:49):
Just you know, all you gotta do is be with
somebody for ten years, live with them for the majority
of that time, and then if there's any weird shit,
you'll know.

Speaker 1 (17:57):
It by then.

Speaker 2 (17:58):
Like nobody tops something weird years into a relationship. They
I mean, if they do, they they've been hiding. They've
been hiding it pretty well. But like you, you pretty
much know, like this person is a little uh, they're
a little messy sometimes. Hey, you know what, they don't
always do dishes, they're really bad about laundry, all kinds
of stuff like that.

Speaker 5 (18:15):
You learn that being with somebody for ten years and
live with them.

Speaker 7 (18:19):
Yeah, I mean you get married after two years. You
don't know that, don't they say like every five years.
You're pretty much like a new person at that point. Anyway,
if you haven't made one switch up of who they are,
you're not ready to get married.

Speaker 1 (18:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (18:32):
My wife's with a beard, with short hair, with long hair,
with medium hair, with long hair, again, with short hair. Again.
She's staying with all the phases I've gone through.

Speaker 1 (18:41):
She has seen every iteration of you.

Speaker 2 (18:45):
They've all been bad.

Speaker 1 (18:46):
She's stuck by them all.

Speaker 2 (18:47):
They've all been bad.

Speaker 7 (18:48):
So shed I had one buddy from high school where
him and this girl were together for ten years before
they got married.

Speaker 1 (18:56):
Not you, a different couple, and he was even more
of a wild card than you. Funny to me, no,
but but they like they got married, very beautiful wedding.
I was there. They were divorced within a year.

Speaker 7 (19:08):
Oh met the insurance back At that point, I was like,
this is kind of on her because he has been
him this whole time, and one year of marriage you
couldn't make it.

Speaker 1 (19:16):
But you stuck by the ten years of him being
who he was.

Speaker 5 (19:22):
But you put a title on it.

Speaker 2 (19:23):
And sometimes people are like like my wife's the same
person she was, she's she's an amazing mother. I've learned
all of that stuff. But like, you're with somebody long enough,
you kind of know who they are. And yeah, people
can change and people can do things.

Speaker 5 (19:32):
And there's obviously other things that like.

Speaker 2 (19:34):
Are not what we're talking about that people are struggling with,
But like, you kind of know who somebody is after
ten years of being with somebody, and especially if you
live with them, you know their habits because you have
to deal with those.

Speaker 1 (19:46):
And if there's insurance on the line too. Now you're like, listen,
am I ready to lose my wife and my friends
because I can't pay the bet? No, I should probably
make this marriage.

Speaker 5 (19:54):
Work well, my wife. Like when people are like I
can't understand, I can't.

Speaker 2 (19:58):
I could never be with a guy I played video games.
My I was like, man, Homie played video games with
the boys ten years ago, fifteen years ago, now still
does now, Like we had two kids, Like now, I
just don't do it. When the kids are up, kids
go to bet. Homie plays the video games the boys,
that's what he does.

Speaker 1 (20:15):
Yeah, you're playing video games. You're not out at the.

Speaker 2 (20:17):
Bar, right, I'm not picking up. I'm not doing blowoff
with some hookers, b hole, am I? Huh huh?

Speaker 1 (20:24):
Maybe virtually. GGA six hasn't been released yet. We don't
know if that feature is.

Speaker 2 (20:28):
In that it doesn't count.

Speaker 5 (20:29):
It's GTA.

Speaker 2 (20:30):
It's totally different, totally different. Everybody knows that. All right.
Last thing I had for the pre come segment, well, no, no,
do you want my movie review? I did a movie
review of back Rooms.

Speaker 1 (20:42):
Yeah, what's back Rooms?

Speaker 5 (20:44):
It's a new movie. It came out.

Speaker 1 (20:45):
It sucks, is that the review?

Speaker 2 (20:49):
That's It's pretty much the review sucks. The review sucks,
the movie sucks. It doesn't really do anything. They there's
back rooms they go to like a furture store. There's
a whole little wall, they go in it, they get lost,
and then there's like fake copies of them that come
out weird aliens and shit. It's it's one of those
like it's a psychological thriller, like you don't at the
end of it, the end of it's bullshit. It makes

(21:11):
no sense, and it's like, what does that mean? What
does that any mean? What does it even meet? What
are we doing here? What are you fucking doing? Mary?
Figure it the fuck out? I hate it. I'm out
on it. No made a billion dollars, but Jilli, it
made all the money at the box office. A twenty
year old fucking director topped the box office.

Speaker 1 (21:30):
I haven't even heard about this movie.

Speaker 2 (21:32):
It was some fucking like four Chan thing and he
directed it, and I don't know anybody was talking about
it this weekend. So I was like, I didn't go
see it cause obviously, like I have, I got kids
out on time to go to the fucking movies. So
I Wikipedia read it, read the book, and that's my
review on it based on the book. Oh you, I mean,

(21:58):
that's just gonna be my new thing. Each week I'm
going to a review or like, whenever there's like a
big movie coming out, I'm just gonna review it based
off of Wikipedia.

Speaker 1 (22:05):
Maybe watch the trailer two on the next one.

Speaker 5 (22:07):
No, I don't want to see anything.

Speaker 1 (22:09):
No, but that way you can then be like, well,
I read the book and I saw the trailer. The
trailer doesn't really do it justice.

Speaker 5 (22:15):
It's not even liked the book, dude, nothing like the book.

Speaker 1 (22:18):
They didn't even put the twist ending in the trailer.
It was bullshit.

Speaker 2 (22:21):
If you can't synopsize a movie in six to eight
paragraphs and make it good. Then it's not a good movie.

Speaker 7 (22:29):
I did watch the New Avatar this week, or not
the new the second Avatar. I finally got around to
watching it.

Speaker 5 (22:35):
It's like ten years old.

Speaker 1 (22:36):
Yeah, yeah, well I thought I could watch the third
one right after that. One's not on Disney Plus yet.
Didn't realize that until I finished. Yeah, but my review
of the second one is very similar to the first.
Now in water, Yeah, I enjoyed it. I didn't think
it was bad. That's like I have. They're swimming now

(22:58):
but also sometimes.

Speaker 2 (22:59):
Flying, and they now they have water.

Speaker 1 (23:04):
Yeah, I'm excited to see what they're gonna do in
the third one.

Speaker 2 (23:08):
Space.

Speaker 1 (23:09):
Well, let's land again, fire and ash, so there's gonna
be more fire.

Speaker 5 (23:14):
But those Hunger games.

Speaker 1 (23:20):
Yeah, I might be mixing up the names.

Speaker 2 (23:22):
Maybe they're both. Maybe they maybe it's a hybrid.

Speaker 1 (23:25):
Probably the same studio, they just wanted to say, they
just changed for most of the.

Speaker 2 (23:30):
One of those those little blue dudes.

Speaker 5 (23:32):
They would fuck up Catnus.

Speaker 1 (23:35):
Yeah, they're nine feet tall.

Speaker 2 (23:36):
Yeah, she had no chance.

Speaker 5 (23:38):
It's not fair.

Speaker 1 (23:39):
And their arrows go through fucking Mechsus.

Speaker 2 (23:42):
Maybe District one for sure like they would be absolutely
district one because like they'd pay, they'd spawnsor him they volunteer.

Speaker 1 (23:52):
I would like to see a Hunger Games of Pandora people,
though that'd be sick. I would watch that oh fucking
giant black panther dog bit my face off.

Speaker 2 (24:03):
That'd be crazy. Last thing I had so hear me out,
I had an idea for an app. The app would
be called Somalia, but it would be smali yay like Somalia,
bit yay like Kanye. At the end of it. It

(24:24):
would be a wine reviewing app, but the catches that
you could only review wines using lyrics from Kanye songs.

Speaker 1 (24:36):
I'm trying to think of some.

Speaker 2 (24:37):
Don't worry, I got I got plenty of them for you.
I got plenty of them for you, buddy. I came prepared.
So these are a couple of my reviews that I
would start Somalia with. The twenty twenty one duck Corn
Murlou from Napa Valley, like NARLS. Barkley meets Charles Barkley.

Speaker 1 (24:55):
I actually have had the Duckhorn more Low and it's
very good.

Speaker 2 (24:59):
I think that would you summarize it like that would
you say, that's like Narls.

Speaker 5 (25:03):
Barkley meets Charles Barkley.

Speaker 1 (25:05):
I would It was very smooth, but very enjoyable.

Speaker 5 (25:10):
Okay, all right? Other ones?

Speaker 2 (25:13):
I had the twenty twenty two Luis Jadeau game from France.
All shine, I drink all the wine.

Speaker 1 (25:23):
Oh good? I thought you were going to go a
different French lyric for him.

Speaker 5 (25:27):
No, no, we don't do that.

Speaker 1 (25:30):
We don't do that.

Speaker 5 (25:32):
We cannot say that word in Paris. I'm not one
of them.

Speaker 2 (25:36):
I'm not one of those that is glad to say
that you got.

Speaker 1 (25:38):
Any German wines on there. You're gonna reveal no German ones.

Speaker 2 (25:42):
But he would have loved those. I'm sure he would
love the German wines. What else did I have? This
is the non vintage Jay Vineyards Brute rose from Russia,
River Valley, USA. Like a fat, a fat booty, Celine dion.

Speaker 1 (26:00):
I. Actually, yeah, if it's a brute and it's a rose,
that means it should.

Speaker 2 (26:04):
Be popping like a fat booty stealing thean. It'd be perfect,
exactly as Kanye says in Dark Fantasy. The twenty twenty
one Antorini Pepoli Kianti from Tuscany, Italy. I would describe
that by saying, the devil wears prada atam where not
I'm in between, but way more fresher.

Speaker 1 (26:23):
I think that's a great one for a Kiati.

Speaker 2 (26:25):
I can't tell me nothing. The twenty twenty two Katina
Malbeck from Mendoza, Argentina.

Speaker 5 (26:31):
It's a monster, a killer.

Speaker 1 (26:35):
That's good. Mall bets usually have a little bit of
a spice to him, so I think you're nailing every
one of these.

Speaker 2 (26:39):
I'm a wine guy thanks to Kanye. This is the
twenty twenty three Vieta Moscato Diasti from Piedmont, Italy. I
describe it like a fly, Malcolm X.

Speaker 1 (26:55):
I don't know about that one. Moscato's are usually pretty sweet,
and he wasn't known for being a sweet guy.

Speaker 2 (27:00):
You might not think that.

Speaker 1 (27:01):
Actually you could say that he was so intense it
matters the sweet level of the mescado, so that that
is also a very app description. See see this is
all of my wine knowledge right now.

Speaker 2 (27:15):
This actually might work. The twenty eighteen Campo Viejo reserve
a Temperanilo blend from Rioja, Spain. I would describe that
by saying It's about the baddest wine I ever seen,
straight up out of movie scene as Kanye famous in.

Speaker 1 (27:33):
The Spanish wines. Yeah, that one. I'm actually gonna need
you to send me all of these because I'm gonna
try and sneak some of these onto our menu to
describe our wines.

Speaker 2 (27:40):
You can notice it on the app if you're go
be somali Ya that you can down the vertical trademark
hopefully in the appster soon. That's from RoboCop, Kanye's RoboCop.
This is the review of the twenty twenty three Kim
Crawford Savignon Blanc from Marlborough, New Zealand. It says, grab
a glass. After that, I'll grab your ass.

Speaker 1 (28:03):
I mean, ladies do love their soft blogs and the
New Zealand ones are nice. And Chris, you get a
couple of theirs in there. You're feeling snappy, little.

Speaker 2 (28:12):
Grab Kanye celebration. There's the lyrics in there. And then
twenty twenty two La Crema Sonoma Coast pinar Wauh.

Speaker 1 (28:22):
This ain't Vietnam, That's true. Sonoma is very beautiful. It is.

Speaker 2 (28:29):
That's what I thought. And when you drink it, when
you drink in that Pino noir. You you feel like
you're not in Vietnam.

Speaker 1 (28:36):
Oh no, you're gonna feel nice and classy and relaxed
with the Sonoma Pino.

Speaker 2 (28:40):
That's astute observations from Kanye and Diamonds from Sierra Leone
and then last but not least, the final review to
start off. This is just to start off yet, this
is on't populating the app. The twenty twenty two domain
Busque Cabernet savignon from Mendoza, Argentina the best living dead
hands down.

Speaker 1 (29:00):
Would love an Argentina wine. You know, some of his
people may.

Speaker 2 (29:04):
Get away to Argentine. He'd get away to Argentina after
you know, a nice campaign elsewhere, wonderful.

Speaker 1 (29:14):
I think I think you got a banger on your
hands here, buddy.

Speaker 5 (29:17):
Somali apps really get take off.

Speaker 1 (29:20):
I think so yeah.

Speaker 2 (29:21):
Okay, I think we can even.

Speaker 1 (29:22):
We'll collab on this. You ask me about the wines.
I'll throw some knowledge back at you. You give me
a lyric. Okay, I think can get that wine. We
can get that out of COVID.

Speaker 2 (29:32):
You know what on the YouTube version this week, go
comment your favorite They give me a like like comment
to type of wine and then give me a Kanye
Somalier review of it. Just quote a Kanye song to
describe a kind of wine.

Speaker 1 (29:46):
Well will it? Will we be able to get any
man of Chevitz wine on the I don't know if
we'll have. We might have some trouble matching some of
his lyrics to a.

Speaker 5 (29:56):
We'll have all the wines will be on there.

Speaker 2 (29:59):
Whether or not you will be able to find a
word to describe it based on Kanye's lyrics, it varies,
all right, So then we're gonna be We're gonna.

Speaker 5 (30:10):
Be down with hip hop and wine.

Speaker 2 (30:12):
And I think that kind of glasses up everybody.

Speaker 7 (30:15):
You know, we're getting to the later half of our thirties.
We should probably start getting some more knowledge on our wine.

Speaker 1 (30:20):
So this is good for us too.

Speaker 2 (30:21):
I don't know shit about wine, but I've been trying
to do like wine each night, where like I can
kind of justify having a drink. I don't really have
to justify having a drink, but it's like I have
a little glass of wine, then like that's fine. I
got the kids to bed, my wife and I can
just do a glass of wine and it's like, oh,
this is a nice little nightcap nice?

Speaker 7 (30:39):
Have you been buying different kinds to find what you like?
Like me, personally, I'm not as big of a cabernet guy.
I enjoy murlou or a peanut a water. They're a
little bit smoother.

Speaker 2 (30:48):
I will I will mix or the blended cabernets are
usually what I do. The cab blend.

Speaker 1 (30:53):
It's try a murlow. I think you'll. I think you'll
be a murlou guy with me. I might be.

Speaker 2 (30:58):
I'm down to do it past the water and we
should do a pass the wine wine tasting night. But
you're not allowed to spit it out. There's no spit jokes.
You just gotta like we're just drinking.

Speaker 1 (31:07):
Oh no, we're taking it all.

Speaker 2 (31:08):
It's just the boys drinking wine.

Speaker 1 (31:11):
We could have a wine night. I just showed up,
like we said, I started having wine night and like
Emma tried to pour glass right.

Speaker 2 (31:18):
No, no, no, no no, this is boys only, boys only.

Speaker 5 (31:22):
No, can't touch it.

Speaker 6 (31:23):
That's our cheese.

Speaker 2 (31:24):
That's my cheese. No no, no, no, no one. This is
my chark cooterie board for the fellas.

Speaker 1 (31:30):
It's just a block of extra sharp cheddar that we're
just taking fights off.

Speaker 2 (31:33):
Of but we'll put on like a canoe paddle so
it's more manly. See it's on a canoe paddle.

Speaker 5 (31:39):
You have to have this SHARKOUDI, But we have a paddle.

Speaker 1 (31:42):
It's just on a fresh cut two by four from
home depot. So we still have the sawdust smell.

Speaker 5 (31:47):
Oh yeah, no, we just it's just on plywood.

Speaker 1 (31:52):
One of those grilling cedar planks.

Speaker 2 (31:55):
Or just like a just like a part of a
tree we found in the woods.

Speaker 1 (32:01):
We just take together a bunch of really cool looking sticks.

Speaker 5 (32:05):
Got a little raft.

Speaker 1 (32:06):
Weezy will be part of it. Is our stick.

Speaker 2 (32:11):
You got to collect some sticks.

Speaker 1 (32:13):
She's stick acquisitions.

Speaker 2 (32:15):
She's down acquistitions. All right.

Speaker 5 (32:17):
That was the uh, that's the.

Speaker 2 (32:20):
Pre come segment.

Speaker 1 (32:21):
All right.

Speaker 5 (32:21):
I think we had some good ideas there all round,
all round.

Speaker 1 (32:25):
Hell yeah, let's.

Speaker 2 (32:27):
Move on to the comeback Kids segment, where we're gonna
tell you what's back in the news according to us.
This week it's the comeback kid, Comeback kid of the week,
comeback kid of the week, bitch. Our first comeback kid

(32:49):
this week is Pride. Pride's back. Happy Pride Month. Everybody.

Speaker 7 (32:56):
I I sent means to to all my gaze.

Speaker 2 (33:01):
I don't send memes. I'm just like, I always feel
weird when people are like I just I say Happy
Pride Month too, like the three gay people that they know.
And it's like, this seems like if I were to
wish like a happy Black History Month to the two
black people that I'm friends with, if I only had
two black friends, you know, like, is that weird?

Speaker 1 (33:20):
If you're doing it publicly, that's performative. Send it directly
to them. Now, they all didn't get the same meme.
I'll say that by one of my friends at work
and my cousin got more of the racy, slash intense meme.
Shall I say that I paired with happy Pride months,
I'm proud of you? And then some people just got

(33:42):
more of a generic Pride month one because I was like,
you know what, I don't know how.

Speaker 7 (33:46):
You'll respond to this one. Some people can take a
joke better than others.

Speaker 2 (33:49):
Right right, I'm an ally, I'm on your side. I
just don't watch you to feel like I'm ever making
fun of you.

Speaker 7 (33:57):
I will say this though We're three days in and
I have yet to see anybody online or on Twitter
freaking out about companies like just changing their logo a
little bit. I think we're starting to get on the
other end of all that bullshit.

Speaker 2 (34:09):
Oh you ain't been on Threads, but no, no, it's coming.

Speaker 1 (34:13):
Oh no, I don't fuck you. I'm talking about the
places where normal people.

Speaker 2 (34:16):
Are thread Well, Threads is just I like to check
it and just it's like a reality check.

Speaker 5 (34:20):
You're like, okay, cool, So Threads, I.

Speaker 1 (34:23):
Know it's coming. I'm just saying three days in that
I haven't seen it yet. That might be a record.

Speaker 2 (34:29):
Threads has taught me. All of the companies that changed
the to the rainbow stuff, uh, we boa we need
to boycott them. We need to. I think the Texas
Rangers are the only baseball team we don't like, which
already I'm fine with that. Cool obviously, a bunch of
fucking bigots in Dallas, clearly the only only team that
doesn't have a Pride night, huge bigot city. Obviously, the

(34:55):
all the hockey teams that didn't switch it. There like,
we know who to hate who hasn't switched their or
said happy Pride, which I guess you have to say
abby pride or else you don't feel like you mean
And then Paddigonia's being there's there's a drag queen Patty
Gonya who Paddygonya is suing because they told them not

(35:15):
to use their logo where it just basically was the
Paddigonia logo. It said Patty Gonya. Then they said okay,
that's cool, and then they did use the logo and
sold merch and they're like, you can't infringe on our copyright.
We have to we have to sue you. So they're
suing for one dollar to keep the copyright claim. And
people are freaking out being like you're doing this now,
what the hell? And they're like, well no, because like

(35:36):
if we don't we don't fight for our our copyright,
we lose our copyright. So then anybody could do that,
So that that's kind of And then also Carter Heart,
we don't like Carter Heart.

Speaker 1 (35:50):
I'll we don't like him for the Canada scandal reasons,
or you don't like him for other reasons.

Speaker 2 (35:55):
Well, Threads doesn't ever like, no matter what he does,
he's never going to be able to be So that
those are just like this week, that's what I've learned
on Threads. Maybe that's the new thing instead of thread
the needle. It's just when Alex learned on threads this week.

Speaker 1 (36:08):
So what you're telling me is Threads is going for Carolina,
not Vegas.

Speaker 2 (36:12):
Nope, because they have a guy on the Chicago Wolves,
their minor league team that was also part of the
Team Canada thing with Carter Art. So the Stanley Cups canceled.

Speaker 1 (36:23):
Yeah, but I did see they're.

Speaker 2 (36:24):
Not watching it, but they do monitor heavily every single
thing that happens on it all game long. As I
checked last night.

Speaker 7 (36:31):
I did see some people getting mad at Vegas because
they did not I don't know if they've since done it,
but they did not immediately put out a Pride graphic.
But they did put out a because June is Men's
suicide Awareness month. Then they posted out that and people
got mad, like, how terror you post this and not
about Pride.

Speaker 1 (36:50):
It was like, are you getting mad at them? Trying
to get guys to talk kople themselves?

Speaker 2 (36:55):
Honestly, though.

Speaker 5 (36:57):
Men's health matters.

Speaker 1 (36:59):
We had Manuary and and gay men are men, so
that included that.

Speaker 2 (37:04):
But when gay women might not be, so you know,
let's be more inclusive, all right. We had manuar Manu
raise all the man things, MANU raise all the man things.
Everybody else gets their months. We can't bitch about months. Okay,
we do this at the beginning of the year to
curb any of this. We are the trailblazers, pat We
can't let people come in here and get mad about

(37:26):
about months when we as men had our own month already.

Speaker 5 (37:31):
It's not my fault that you didn't know.

Speaker 1 (37:32):
About it, That's that's true. I should have commented on
there that man. Shut up.

Speaker 2 (37:38):
Yeah, you're right, and then talk to somebody because we
care about your mental health.

Speaker 1 (37:45):
Yes, perfect, there's numbers out there you can call. We
love you guys, numbers out there.

Speaker 5 (37:55):
So Pride is back, So happy Pride. Everybody also back this.

Speaker 1 (37:59):
I think I might be Pride Night for the Astros,
is it? I My sister said something about going to
the gay baseball game today, and I can't imagine what
else she would be talking about. So that's my assumption.
If not, maybe she's out of the out of the city.
Who knows.

Speaker 5 (38:17):
Pride.

Speaker 2 (38:18):
I saw they giving away a sick It was a
sick ass like basketball jersey. It looked like like a
tank top. Maybe for the Astros.

Speaker 1 (38:26):
Pride Night you know, maybe I'll go get some ice
cream later with rainbow sprinkles.

Speaker 2 (38:30):
That's what's up.

Speaker 1 (38:31):
Mm hmm.

Speaker 2 (38:34):
Also a comeback kid this week. Odell Beckham, fucking junior dude,
he's Batman and.

Speaker 1 (38:43):
Yeah he's coming.

Speaker 5 (38:46):
Like better return home? Is it Lebron or OBJ?

Speaker 2 (38:51):
Because I think it might be OBJ.

Speaker 7 (38:54):
I think you got to win a title with him.
Lebron won the title when he went back home.

Speaker 2 (38:59):
Deal, let's just when it's okay, done, all right?

Speaker 1 (39:02):
Sick this year? Maybe maybe maybe it gets hurt.

Speaker 2 (39:09):
I may have on this very show spoken ill of
him in the past, but obviously that was joking. Clearly
he's a great guy, awesome receiver, and I've always said
that Odell was the right guy to sign. The Giants
did work out Braxton Barrios and Juju Smith Schuster and
then they signed everybody but O'Dell Beckham was part of

(39:31):
that three. I don't know why people were shitting over
the signing. It's the preseason. You can have eight hundred
people on the roster if you want. If you were
weak at receiver last year, why not sign some guys
that have been good throughout their careers and be like, hey,
guess what if you guys are on veteran minimum and
you ball out in preseason, you get a roster spot.

(39:51):
If not, we're gonna catch you and you can find
another spot, don't. I don't see the harm in that
and people being mad about it in the off season
in fucking June right now. They just hate fun. That's
that's what I think.

Speaker 1 (40:03):
I think you need to institute one rule for Odell.

Speaker 2 (40:06):
No pledging nets, kicking that alone, no boats or I
thought about this the other day. I was like, does
he just buy a boat and he just lights it
on fire and just sends like just like Viking funerals,
and like that ends the curse.

Speaker 1 (40:23):
I think you just got to stay away from boats.

Speaker 2 (40:26):
Does he can he sink someone else's boat?

Speaker 1 (40:31):
No, because then the imagery could be look at the
boat going down the way his career, the ways I
think he just stay away from boats, don't fuck with boats,
don't be a round boats with your boys, don't invite
any teammates to boats, don't go.

Speaker 5 (40:43):
To the Hudson River at all.

Speaker 1 (40:45):
I think that's just a good rule to live.

Speaker 2 (40:47):
I'll stay away from just stay away from any like
Coney Island Staten Island, all the islands, Long Island. Don't
but no, don't go there all right, just to get
his hair in Manhattan, away from anybody of water.

Speaker 1 (41:02):
Yeah, get his hair back to the way it was
when he was originally on there. I know he's changed
a couple times over the year. I don't know what
it's been recently, but you know what, does he have
his original number back?

Speaker 2 (41:11):
He's wearing three right now, but that's also dual Carter's numbers.
We are now very likely, very likely Jalen Hyatt doesn't
make the team this year because Jalen Hyatt was kind
of ass last year, so that would probably open up
thirteen if Odell makes the team.

Speaker 5 (41:27):
It's also very possible it does doesn't make the team.

Speaker 7 (41:31):
He might not, but you know what, if he I
think you get him on the roster. You need like
three big catches from him this year. You don't need
him to be.

Speaker 1 (41:39):
Your number one or number two.

Speaker 2 (41:40):
Real or three four three?

Speaker 1 (41:42):
Yeah, really you need him to a couple times during
the year show up. Just like Toby Key said, I'm
not as good as I once was, but I'm as
good once as I ever was.

Speaker 2 (41:51):
That's actually that's exactly what I would love give me
three tuddies where it's like you're running the slant and
you just burn everybody on a six yard slant route.

Speaker 5 (42:02):
You get the ball and no one touches you.

Speaker 2 (42:03):
Like, give me that a couple of times this year
and I will be like, yep, let's go yeah dramas.

Speaker 1 (42:09):
This year, a big catch on a final drive Week.

Speaker 2 (42:12):
One against the Cowboys. Week one against the Cowboys, what
if we reached back at Odell?

Speaker 5 (42:17):
We reach back like one three?

Speaker 2 (42:18):
What if?

Speaker 5 (42:19):
How sick would that be? Week one?

Speaker 2 (42:21):
And then like if you you know, if he somehow
does that, the Giants win that game, I'm gonna be in.
It's gonna be super Bowl all the way.

Speaker 1 (42:30):
It will be man so mad. All my friends would
be so sad. It would make me so happy.

Speaker 5 (42:36):
He went twenty years to come back and do it again.

Speaker 2 (42:40):
What yeah, I know they lost the game. He did
it the first time. I fucking know, but still those sick.

Speaker 1 (42:46):
Nobody else knows that. I didn't know that I did.
I know most so he'll do it this time and
win and.

Speaker 2 (42:54):
Win, just change it all around, all right? Uh so
I know that comes back also back as trade, because's
lots of trades going down this week in the Info.
That's just what I meant about the NFL being king cool,
NBA Finals, NHL fire or State Cup final. No fuck cares, dude,
Football trades, that's all we're gonna talk about. Miles Garrett
for Jared Verse and a bunch of draft picks. Miles

(43:16):
Garrett's going for the Browns to the Rams after just
setting the single season sack record, and Jared vers is
a big pick up, big get for the Browns. He's going.
He's also going home, but he didn't ever play all
the Browns before, but he's from Ohio. Probably sucks to
be Jared Verse because she were like, hey, we were
talking about Super Bowl run maybe and you're to the Browns.

Speaker 1 (43:39):
Yeah. It's never a good feeling getting traded there. But
you know, if they can and it's a big if,
especially for Cleveland's supposed to be a good quarterback draft
next year, they're gonna suck this year.

Speaker 2 (43:49):
They have shador Dude.

Speaker 1 (43:51):
If they can get it figured out and to sewn,
the rest of the defense is still great even losing
Miles Garrett.

Speaker 7 (43:57):
Jared Versus young and he's really good too. Obviously nowhere
near the level. But they still have a good defense,
They've got some pieces. If they can get the quarterback
in place, they've got a good roster. It's just without
a quarterback in place, none of the rest of the
rest of the roster means anything.

Speaker 1 (44:17):
But like you said, at least he gets to go
back home.

Speaker 2 (44:19):
And then aj Brown officially was traded to the Patriots
for the Eagles.

Speaker 1 (44:25):
So yeah, he got cucked so hard.

Speaker 7 (44:28):
Everyone knew this trade was coming, we all, but still
you thought you'd have.

Speaker 1 (44:32):
A day where, hey, this is my day and then nope,
Miles Garrett big arguably the biggest trade in NFL history.

Speaker 2 (44:44):
Trade, but as Kanye said, this is my day, No
homie class started two hours ago.

Speaker 5 (44:49):
Oh am, I high late.

Speaker 7 (44:51):
He might be the greatest player ever traded, but not
the biggest trade of all time. Biggest trade of all
time probably still a stupid fucking Vikings trade to the
Cowboys that set up their nineties dynasty.

Speaker 2 (45:05):
With the Herschel Walker.

Speaker 1 (45:07):
Yeah, I mean, because if not for that trade, the
Cowboys haven't been good since.

Speaker 2 (45:11):
The whaties, seventies, late seventies, early eighties.

Speaker 7 (45:15):
Yeah, So, like I mean, if not for that, would
Cowboys fans be less of the wing.

Speaker 1 (45:19):
Now probably a little bit, maybe not. I mean, you're
adding an extra twenty years onto their failures. I mean
they can't, I don't. We would probably still hear this
is our year every year. They're also probably yeah, they're
all so tough.

Speaker 2 (45:38):
But yeah, so my I was garretting aj Brown with
the big moves, the big pieces of that trade and
NFL trades. NFL is the king and stay with NFL
even though it's not really NFL, but it is an
NFL player.

Speaker 5 (45:52):
Camp'scataby's leg is back.

Speaker 2 (45:55):
Did you see him fucking do the backflip?

Speaker 1 (45:57):
This wee again. I'm so excited for him.

Speaker 2 (46:00):
I watched I watched the back of the video one
hundred and fifty times, like like the it was Saturday
in the day after when they showed it. I was like,
but it's yeah, it looks like he's okay, looks like
he's fine. It was Brian Burns softball game, fucking hit
up bomb and they just did the backflip right before.

(46:21):
Looks like he's back.

Speaker 5 (46:22):
Look Like looks like he's back.

Speaker 1 (46:24):
Dude. I mean, I don't know if we can make
this happen just because the whole Patriots Giants history, but
him and Gronk should be best friends.

Speaker 2 (46:34):
You would think, like we need.

Speaker 1 (46:37):
At least a commercial with those two together or something.

Speaker 2 (46:41):
They could do something.

Speaker 1 (46:44):
Like at some point this year when the Giants are
playing on Fox, they need Gronk doing the pregame interviews
or like, you know, the little set pieces that they
air in the hour leading up to the game. We
need some sort of Gronk in Scataboo interaction.

Speaker 2 (46:55):
It's just Gronk and Scatabo just grunting at each other.

Speaker 1 (46:58):
For I was just gonna say.

Speaker 2 (46:59):
That he works. Yeah Bellichick.

Speaker 6 (47:04):
Football, touchdown, touchdown, touchdown, ConA touchdown football, Jack Dark.

Speaker 7 (47:15):
It would just be like a couple of eights just
grunting at each other. It would be so awesome.

Speaker 8 (47:20):
Brady Dark, Brady Dark, touchdown, touchdown, touchdown, touchdown, touchdown, me ball, touchdown, touchdown,
me ball.

Speaker 2 (47:31):
Yes see see see the speak Spanish now.

Speaker 1 (47:35):
Ah yeah, that's a little too. That must have been Gronk.
Scattahoo doesn't know no Spanish.

Speaker 2 (47:39):
And gronk'spen a little time in Florida. He would not.

Speaker 5 (47:41):
I don't know Scataboo is in Arizona.

Speaker 1 (47:44):
That's fair.

Speaker 2 (47:45):
He was his ownA boy. It's Camp'scadoby is back, so
fuck yeah dude, and then softball is also back. I've
been watching some fucking fucking College World Series women. College
World Series is in pretty.

Speaker 7 (48:03):
I was to u c L A game the second
game when that new Cla girl hit that bomb in
the bottom of the seventh, which is the ninth inning
in softball.

Speaker 2 (48:12):
For yeah, I I have forgot that every single time,
being like, why is it so? Why are they doing? Oh?

Speaker 5 (48:19):
Because this is it? Okay cool?

Speaker 1 (48:21):
I realized that leading up to that moment, all that
ma the announcers are hiking the up. Oh yeah, the
seventh inning, and then that.

Speaker 2 (48:27):
Girl that new they were the eighth inning at one point,
and I was like, yeah, they still had a whole
ending left, like and we're in extra inning.

Speaker 7 (48:33):
It's like, oh, okay, dude, I have like and I
love college baseball. I've been turning off college baseball games
for watching the college softball and they have been electric.

Speaker 2 (48:45):
Sam, dude, It's it's a pretty wild The one thing
I didn't understand that I feel like I got like
people are actually nicer than I expected. If it was
thread out gotten ripped apart, but I was like, I
was watching Texas Tech. The one night that Kennedy was pitching.
Their million dollar pitcher wasn't doing great, so they took

(49:08):
her out and they brought another girl. I don't know
her name, but she had two thousand and five tattooed
in the back of her arm, and that just made
me feel a million years old because I was like,
that's probably the year you're born.

Speaker 1 (49:17):
Shit. It just fucked me up too.

Speaker 7 (49:21):
In that softball when they changed pictures, they'll just put
them in the field. So there was multiple times where
I've seen them change pictures and then go right back
to that.

Speaker 2 (49:29):
That's what I didn't understand because I saw Kennedy leaves
and then that other girl comes in, and then the
candy girl goes back out, and they were like, yees,
she pitched two andre and thirds, Like how does she
come back in? You can just sub in pictures whenever
you fucking feel like it, and I can.

Speaker 1 (49:43):
Do it in baseball too, it's just they don't want
I knew that.

Speaker 2 (49:45):
I was like, if your show, hey, you can do that,
but I didn't realize that Kennedy was also playing another
position at the same time. I thought they just had
like rolling subs where it's like, yeah, you pitched a couple,
it's come on back in. You can pitch another couple
in it. Like I thought you could just go and
the on the in the dugout and then just come
back in three innings later. Everybody was like, no, you idiots,
you just played this. I don't know. I was fucking

(50:07):
putting children to bedman. I'm sorry, Well it's trying. I'm
a hashtag girl dad trying to show my girls with
strong female role models look like. And I'm just asking
questions so I can educate them, all right, excuse me
for asking some questions.

Speaker 1 (50:20):
Well, it's also because in softball, the throwing motion at
being under armed, it's the natural rotation for your shoulder
to do. So stopping pitching for a little bit and
going out the field and then coming back, it's not
like baseball where all of a sudden your arm just swollen,
no longer warmed up, and you're gonna tear some Like
I was watching the Alabama game against Tech and the
Alabama pitcher went like one hundred and eighty pitches because

(50:44):
they can just do that softball because your arm doesn't
get worn.

Speaker 2 (50:46):
Out and UCLA's pitcher. They showed at one point and
she wasn't the starter, but I guess she was like
the girl that comes in in the second inning every game.

Speaker 5 (50:55):
She had pitched forty one of forty four of their innings.

Speaker 2 (51:00):
Yeah, I was like, how does that make sense?

Speaker 5 (51:03):
How can you just run every game?

Speaker 2 (51:05):
And like then they were like, yeah, because the rotation
of your that makes sense. But still it still seems
like I don't get it. It doesn't make sense. But
like it's been pretty electric. And also turns out if
you have like ten foot fences, like everybody can score
and so like it was just like eight eight and
games were just absolutely electric where you're like, oh shit,

(51:27):
anything anything, and if I can happen right now.

Speaker 1 (51:30):
Also, and then there was the there was one girl
who was a bad look for She tried to rob
a home run and it went right over her glove.
Alex I don't think she jumped five inches off.

Speaker 2 (51:42):
But she thought she had it. I think she thought
she had it. She was like, it's just gonna be
right here, and it was way higher than she thought.

Speaker 1 (51:47):
It was not even way high, like it went right over.

Speaker 2 (51:49):
It was a bad look, but it was just like
she just miscalculated it because I think she was like, oh,
this is easy, and like she looked like she tracked
it right. She just like.

Speaker 1 (52:00):
Whoops.

Speaker 2 (52:01):
Fuck. I will say this, that.

Speaker 7 (52:03):
Was as much fun as I've been having watching the
softball I think if they started televit, like because women's
sports are they're up lately ever since you know Katelyn
Clark and Angel Reese and all that, and they've got
the w NBA and they've been going.

Speaker 1 (52:22):
I think if they had a pro softball league, it
might be better numbers than the w n B A.

Speaker 2 (52:26):
Maybe you just got to catch fight in a bottle.

Speaker 5 (52:30):
It's like Olympic hockey that.

Speaker 7 (52:35):
Yeah, and because the fences are like eighty feet far,
you a lot of home runs, a lot of excitement.
It's been fun seeing White Chocolate back out there supporting
his daughter.

Speaker 1 (52:46):
Yeah, anything Jason wants. I love that guy. I'll love them.
And then because of it, we got to see Jason
White highlights.

Speaker 7 (52:51):
Going back around, I was thinking about this, is Jason
White the only player in NBA history where.

Speaker 1 (52:58):
His highlights Jason Williams. Did I say Jason White? Sorry?

Speaker 2 (53:03):
Was the Oklahoma quarterback?

Speaker 1 (53:05):
That was? Then I mixed it with White. He might
be the only player in NBA history where eighty percent
of his highlights are not his scoring. It's all passes
cool and then every once in all throw a duncan
there or sick layup, but it's just it's just him
making other people look stupid with that he was.

Speaker 2 (53:22):
He was a fucking teammate, man, he's good. Austin teammate.

Speaker 1 (53:25):
Maybe was Don Rondo just because he couldn't score earlier.

Speaker 5 (53:31):
Rage on Rondo for sure, like Boston.

Speaker 7 (53:36):
Thank god he had those other stunts around him because
he he struggled with the layups.

Speaker 5 (53:40):
Yeah he was.

Speaker 2 (53:42):
He had greatness in him in him, but he wasn't
out yet. But yeah, softball has been back bro and
it's been electric. And then the last comeback hit I
had was Finals slash Final because the Stanley Cup file
and NBA Finals they start. The only cool thing that
the NBA does better than the Stanley Cup is the trophy.

(54:06):
And they finally brought the trophy back. So that's really
and actually I think that the matchup this year is
better for the NBA Finals, the trophy, the trophy court.

Speaker 1 (54:17):
Yeah, trophy. It took me a second I knew what
you meant. I mean, but that's the thing about hockey.

Speaker 7 (54:22):
Anytime they watch you, they can because they just super
impose everything on the ice, which is nice.

Speaker 5 (54:27):
Yeah, but I want really on that.

Speaker 2 (54:29):
I want to know that they I want to see
it scuffed up when they're skating on it, so they
run the zamboni over it.

Speaker 1 (54:35):
That that is fair, But I mean, fucking Game one
of the Stanley Cup. What a way to bring the
series out.

Speaker 2 (54:42):
Nine goals, absolutely sick. Yeah, again, doesn't like Carter Hart,
so we're not supposed to rove to Carter Hart.

Speaker 5 (54:49):
I don't care.

Speaker 2 (54:50):
Can didn't win, Dallas didn't win, Colorado didn't win. I'm fine,
I don't care. I really care anymore. Rod Brandemar is
a badass coach. Everybody finally got one in Carolina as
a player to see him go back to Carolina, who
no one fucking cares about at all unless you're just

(55:12):
like one of the seven Diard Knes fans there, like,
no one gives a fuck about that. And then Vegas
just at this point you go into like the Stanley
Cup finally basically every other year is pretty impressive.

Speaker 7 (55:24):
Yeah, I mean, the two really fun teams, but smaller markets,
so it doesn't doesn't hit for everyone. The NBA, it
is a better matter for them just because having New
York in it.

Speaker 1 (55:34):
And then Wemby's supposed to be the greatest player of
all time, which by my definition, because he should be,
he's not the greatest of all time.

Speaker 2 (55:40):
He's a bus Sam Yeah, yeah, and he's.

Speaker 1 (55:44):
Going to be a bust. I hate this matchup, so.

Speaker 2 (55:46):
You're yeah, we sort of talked about last week. You
and Harl's were basically saying, like, we can't root for
fucking New York, but can you for San Antonio.

Speaker 1 (55:57):
No, that's the thing.

Speaker 2 (55:59):
That's group you're rooting for.

Speaker 5 (56:00):
Okc Okay, I was hoping, but the Knicks are pretty harmless.
The Knicks are harmless, bro, And.

Speaker 1 (56:07):
It's okay for me because it's it's basketball, and it's
truly the like sport that I care at least about.
I don't count soccer, or at least American soccer as.

Speaker 2 (56:15):
The major for basketball. I would probably say, yeah, my
least most of the allegiance.

Speaker 1 (56:21):
To it's just the flopping is so out of hand
and they refuse to do anything about it. And even
Wenby in the series started flopping as it went on,
exceeding French.

Speaker 2 (56:32):
We knew this was coming.

Speaker 1 (56:34):
But he plays against SGA and he's like, oh, this
is something I can do.

Speaker 2 (56:38):
Oh everywhere Now.

Speaker 1 (56:42):
He's a piece of ship. He fucking sucks standard.

Speaker 7 (56:44):
So I fuck everyone in Houston because I'm seeing this
online that is like, oh no.

Speaker 2 (56:50):
I hate that move for your number one rival.

Speaker 5 (56:53):
Ever, I do not understand a lot.

Speaker 6 (56:56):
Well.

Speaker 5 (56:56):
I mean, if the Texans aren't good, I'd rather the Cables.

Speaker 2 (57:00):
Fuck you no, no, no, never, no never once. Do
you not know what a state rivalry is? Fuck you?

Speaker 5 (57:07):
Well, I don't know it be Texas over anybody.

Speaker 2 (57:09):
You're not a real fan, you don't get to watch
turn it off because like the state rivalry is just
it's part of this. But it's like it's San Antonio.
San antonis Dallas. Okay, san Antonio is Dallas. Everybody's a
Spurts fans. Also a fucking Cowboys fan. No, you're rooting
for the cowboys of basketball, the basketball fucking cowboys. Oh
but they have the Mavericks too.

Speaker 5 (57:28):
They have two basketball cowboys, all right, they have two
of them.

Speaker 2 (57:31):
You're fans team.

Speaker 1 (57:32):
I was trying to think of a way to like
equate it to other sports. And it's hard because like
and you just there's nothing else that really compares to
the basketball rivalry to like go to other sports. I
was trying to think, like if the Dodgers were playing
the Red Sox for you, but like the Dodgers were

(57:54):
going recently the Big Bad for everybody.

Speaker 2 (57:56):
Well, but likeas the team you hate the most, like
no matter, Like and the Eagles played the Chiefs, Everybody's like,
we fucking hate the Chiefs.

Speaker 5 (58:02):
I was like, no, no, no, no, no, no, whoa whoa no.

Speaker 2 (58:05):
Fuck Philly, go Chiefs, Like I was pro Chiefs, and
I was like, well, we can't.

Speaker 5 (58:09):
No, we're not ruining for Philly.

Speaker 2 (58:10):
What are we doing.

Speaker 7 (58:11):
That's the closest one but would be Yeah, it's it's
not like, yes, it's an in state rivalry, but they
are your biggest rivalry just because it really is like
the team you.

Speaker 2 (58:20):
Hate the most.

Speaker 1 (58:20):
Yeah, bad guys.

Speaker 2 (58:21):
If you're if you're a Rockets fan, you're supposed to
hate the Mavericks and the Spurs probably more than everybody.

Speaker 1 (58:27):
And I understand New York City. I'm this is the
first time in my life I've ever been cornered into
rooting for a New York team, do you move for your.

Speaker 2 (58:39):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (58:39):
When he was going against the Patriots where all my
family is from. No, I was not going for you.

Speaker 2 (58:45):
You know this, I'm just saying. I'm saying I thought
like maybe we really for the Vibes.

Speaker 7 (58:51):
But O, yeah, like like actually the closest one for
me would maybe be like and this would just be
a no win scenario. But if it was and it
would only be the NFC Championship, it was like Cowboys Bears,
But then that's not even chang game, I would just
end up. I would just I would just old for you.

Speaker 1 (59:10):
Yeah, I would truly just at that point be going, well,
I'm rooting for the AFCAL. That's what it is. Like
it would be Bears versus who's the most hateable AFC team.

Speaker 2 (59:22):
That's how like I felt with the Stanley Cup, where
I was like, I don't.

Speaker 1 (59:24):
Hate the Chiefs, it just sucks that they're so good,
you know.

Speaker 2 (59:27):
Yeah, Like when the like when the Canadians lost, I
was like I don't care anymore. Cool like thank God
versus team I hate as long as so my my
thing is like my team wins, happiest that could possibly
be best case scenario. After that, teams I don't like
don't win, and it's like you breathe a sigh of

(59:47):
relief when like when the Canadians got them, cool Canada,
no gold medal, no fucking Stanley Cup again and also
no i HF World Championship either, So fuck you Canada.

Speaker 1 (59:59):
Even Yeah, people just don't respect the rivalries any like
I grew up here in only thing better than the
Red Sox win. It's the Yankees loss. That's the hatred
you have to have or your rivals.

Speaker 2 (01:00:09):
It's pretty disgusting. The people who are like I can't
root for I can't root for New York's Santa.

Speaker 5 (01:00:14):
They're in your division, man, they're in your division.

Speaker 7 (01:00:17):
Like, and I understand everyone in Houston hates New York
now because of the Yankees rivalry and everything, but it's like,
they're not the Yankees, they're the Knicks. They're the sad
version of the Yankees, where like, yes, it's New York
and nobody likes that city.

Speaker 5 (01:00:29):
They're more Mets than they are Yankees.

Speaker 1 (01:00:30):
They're more Mets than Yankee exactly exactly.

Speaker 2 (01:00:33):
They're Yankee fans, but they play like the Mets mostly
but not now.

Speaker 7 (01:00:39):
They're still kind of an underdog because it's like and
like I said, it's basketball. I don't give a shit.
You're like, whatever, let's the Knicks get one. It's good
for the sport. I don't care about the sport anyway.

Speaker 1 (01:00:48):
Fuck San Antonio forever, unless it's like an actual military
attack on San Antonio. That's what I'll get behind my
safe when it comes to sports that don't mean anything.
Fuck them forever.

Speaker 7 (01:00:59):
I hope think lose the team and they fucking moved
to Seattle. I just never never San Antonio. You'll never
find me rooting for San Dinjono.

Speaker 2 (01:01:11):
Yeah, it's just Dallas. It's just Dallas, all right. So
we got that out of the way. Finals and Final
are back. Let's move on to the not cool segment,
where we're gonna tell you what's not cool this week.

Speaker 5 (01:01:24):
A little Vince says you had to have with the gang.

Speaker 2 (01:01:26):
If you'd like to participate, you can tweet us. We
are on the X app at pass Grey Pod. Make
sure you use the hashtag PTG not cool. Summarize something
that happens to you throughout the week that makes you
just say, hey man, not cool. If you step your
toe not cool. If you get punched in the face
by some stranger and didn't know who they were or
why you got punched in the face. Also not cool.
There's arying degrees and not cool summaris years.

Speaker 5 (01:01:47):
In three to four sentences. We'll pick some of the best.

Speaker 2 (01:01:49):
Ones every couple of weeks and share them on the
podcast at pass the Grey Pod hashtag PTG not cool.
This is the not cool second not cool man, Dude,
that's not cool? Not cool? All right? Pat? Did do
you have it not cool that you? I had to

(01:02:11):
start us off with.

Speaker 1 (01:02:12):
Yeah, I got a couple of quick ones, Firk one.
We just talked about it. Finals are San Antonio versus
New York. Ye sucks the other one. I'm Rydan dirty
because I still just didn't get my inspection done or
my tires. I got other chores done. I did. I
cleaned the apartment.

Speaker 5 (01:02:33):
Is there something?

Speaker 7 (01:02:33):
I got my laundry done. Those were kind of the
lesser of the chores I needed to get done. I
still need to get the big ones done. But so
now for the next and I probably won't be able
to get my inspection done until Saturday. So for the
rest of the week, I just have to I had
I took an alternate route.

Speaker 1 (01:02:50):
Leaving the I had to go, uh pick up some
coffee for the restaurant today, and there was a top
sitting right outside of the entrance, so like, I kind
of went through the parking lot next to us to
get around. Just so I just gotta I gotta worry
about that for the next week everywhere I'm going, so a.

Speaker 7 (01:03:06):
Lot of time when I'm in the car leaving work
or about to get to work, I have to poop.

Speaker 1 (01:03:10):
So I have to just be worried about having to
hold poop wall.

Speaker 2 (01:03:13):
Yeah, that's the worst.

Speaker 1 (01:03:15):
Big sir. Could you please just not give me a ticket?
I'm about to poop my pants.

Speaker 2 (01:03:20):
And they'll probably pretty cool about it. You still just
have to have the chore of going to You'd have
another chore of having to go and be like, well,
see I got to inspected. They usually be yeah, right,
you have X men of days, but they give you
the fucking summons and ship and that sucks.

Speaker 1 (01:03:34):
I need to know. I got to reach out to
Adam the top and be like, what is the technology?

Speaker 7 (01:03:38):
Because I was as I was driving on the first
as cars are coming towards me, I'm trying to look
and I can't read any of these stickers on these
cars do it? I don't know if it's like their
computer scans the license plate and like they have to
actively be like scanning you to do it.

Speaker 2 (01:03:52):
They used to do the They used to do the
just like standing by like a U turn like an underpass,
and they just like get like I have a bike
cop and they look and they just.

Speaker 1 (01:04:02):
That's one thing I was looking. Those stickers are small, dude.
I don't know, and I have a pretty good eyesight.
I don't know how this is done, but maybe not
good enough. I've got to reach out to them and
be like, hey, what's your system?

Speaker 2 (01:04:14):
What's going on with this?

Speaker 1 (01:04:16):
Can you enter me into the system as friend of cop?
Don't pull over?

Speaker 2 (01:04:19):
Please fix it?

Speaker 1 (01:04:20):
Yeah, so, yeah, I just gotta worry about that. I
think tomorrow morning I'm gonna go get my tires up
so then i'll be good to go. I just gotta
set up my inspection and oil change and all that shit.
But I'm just gonna be on edge all week. Yeah,
I've done it for myself as pretty much. I feel that,

(01:04:41):
and yeah, I'm gotta figure it out.

Speaker 2 (01:04:43):
There's nothing worse than like when you're sitting in the
consequences of your own actions and you're like, I just
want to find somebody to escape goat for this. But
I am the reason that I am in this, and
there's no ifans or butts about it, Like it is
me to put myself in this predicament. And no matter
how mad I want to be a someone else, I
still and the reason that this happened.

Speaker 7 (01:05:02):
I should get a joker mask so when I do
inevitably get pulled over for this, I can just pull
it on and when the top walks up.

Speaker 2 (01:05:09):
Hi, Hi, wear little nurse outfit?

Speaker 1 (01:05:15):
Yep. Oh if I only wear a nurse outfit with
driving around dresses.

Speaker 5 (01:05:19):
Cleavage, dude, you can probably pull it off.

Speaker 1 (01:05:21):
Yeah, but Mike Cleveland is hairy. It's not a good look.

Speaker 2 (01:05:24):
I'm just staying sha at the top of it for
this month, this part of the month.

Speaker 1 (01:05:27):
Oh, that will get so itchy on my shirt.

Speaker 2 (01:05:28):
Though, right, But Mike, Yeah, the ticket.

Speaker 1 (01:05:32):
Only for one very specific kind of cop, and I
don't think the guy from the Village People is an
actual cop.

Speaker 2 (01:05:38):
We you don't know that that's true.

Speaker 1 (01:05:41):
Shaq was a cop, so who knows a lot of.

Speaker 2 (01:05:43):
People could be cops. You'd be an honorary deputy, which
I'd like to be too, Adam, if you're listening, or
any other cops to listen. In a past gave he
would love that shot. By the way, I.

Speaker 1 (01:05:52):
Didn't give a shout out.

Speaker 2 (01:05:54):
I thought we did the rod Ryan showed it. We
call it ditch Day and it's just basically an excuse
to go day drink. We do it at the kind
of towards the end of the school year, but it's
like an adult ditch day. Jarrett does patches for The
rod Ryan Show. He makes a lot of patches, like
I have this rod Ryan Show patch here. He made that.
He made this one, but he made you and Harley

(01:06:14):
and Me and a bunch of other ones. He made
these patches, these pass gay patches. So I was gonna
give it to you today since we're doing over zoom.
I just want to say, shot at Jarrett patch guy.
He rocks. And I just was thinking about that because
I saw it in the background of my my video feed.
But I got some patches for you coming up. Shout
out to Jarrett.

Speaker 1 (01:06:34):
That is a cool You're the man.

Speaker 2 (01:06:36):
He rocks My not cool it's been a pretty good week.
Mostly not cool is that I'm really stupid spending money
on dumb shit. And I bought a bunch of dumb
things in the last week, and it was like, also,
like let's pay rent. It was like Rent and Bill's
week two, so like that sucked. And then I was like,

(01:06:58):
we should also add a bunch of other just as
Alex that's smart. So first thing I bought it was
actually it was kind of with a goal in mind,
but Fourth of July going some place, going out with
some friends, We're gonna take the families and shit like that,
trying to have like a cool little Fourth of July weekend.

(01:07:20):
I bought two vinyl billboard signs that is the tarp
off of the billboard they take down. You do not
know what the billboard is for. On their reviews, there
was people that had like it's an adult superstore with
an arrow porting down, like it was like an adult

(01:07:42):
video store advertisement. But you can just get anything. So
when they peel down the billboards, it's a big tarp
that's got all the advertising on it, and then they
just sell those. So I spent a lot of money
on seventy feet worth of tarp to create a seventy
foot slip and slide for.

Speaker 5 (01:07:59):
Forth the July weekend.

Speaker 2 (01:08:03):
Awesome, which is gonna be sick, but it was a
lot of money and it was like seventy dollars to
ship it, which is like that was the worst part
of it. I was like, well, fuck it, let's go.
So I'll update you whenever I get the billboard like
where it is. And then also, I think I said
it a little bit about the podcast last week, but

(01:08:24):
a couple of weeks ago, my wife and I were
flipping through shit on TV trying to find something to watch.
We were on Prime and it was like, oh, the
Coca Cola Classic is on the co Cola six hundreds
on I was like, well, fuck, babe, let's watch the
Coke Cold six hundred. And Amazon was like, well, you
watched the Cocola six hundred.

Speaker 5 (01:08:43):
Did you want to buy merch?

Speaker 2 (01:08:44):
And I was like, shit, yeah I did, so I
bought merch for me and Emma, I'm wearing that right now.

Speaker 1 (01:08:49):
Well.

Speaker 2 (01:08:50):
Amazon then realized this guy must like NASCAR, so guess
what was this past weekend? The cracker barrel five hundred.
And I was like, well, you know, I gotta buy
some shit for the fucking cracker barrel five hundred.

Speaker 5 (01:09:00):
Did I watch it? Absolutely not, absolutely not, but they did.

Speaker 2 (01:09:05):
It was in Nashville, and they had the backdrop of
Nashville and it was just a cracker barrel race car
that was like one of those old school racing shirt
looking things. And it was forty seven dollars for a shirt,
a novelty shirt.

Speaker 5 (01:09:20):
That I was like, well back to back then, I.

Speaker 2 (01:09:23):
Can't say I'm not a NASCAR guy. Now I got
two shirts, so I bought that. I bought another World
Cup jersey because I had already got the regular. I
got myself and my girls the Women's World Cup one
where it's got the stars they've won. And then when
people are gonna be like, why are you wearing the

(01:09:43):
girls just because I'm a fucking feminist, So got myself
out of any discussions of that going forward. And then
I bought the blue jersey with the stars on it,
because the white jersey where they have just the bars
the stripes, they look sick of shit. Then I got
the custom jersey that I had said I didn't want
to spend two hundred dollars on. I spent over two

(01:10:05):
hundred dollars getting a customized USA World Cup jersey that
says free bird on the back end the number is
seventy six.

Speaker 1 (01:10:15):
I mean that.

Speaker 2 (01:10:16):
But that's just awesome, right, and like I should wear
on the podcast. I could write it off. I'll just
write it off. Well, actually, that's not even Olympic year.
It's a World Cup. You're not an Olympic. You don't
have to pay taxes this year. Fuck next, next Olympic year,
all right, right off on the next one, the next, Okay,
But yeah, I'm and I'm excited to get this yet.

Speaker 5 (01:10:39):
I got a Yankee.

Speaker 2 (01:10:40):
I saw a hat that said yikes, and it was
in the Yankee spot and I was like, that's tight.
That was not cheap. Hats are like remembered hats used
to be like twenty dollars was an expensive hat, and
now hats are just like forty dollars.

Speaker 5 (01:10:51):
Just walking in You're like, I want a hat. It's
forty dollars.

Speaker 1 (01:10:54):
Cool. Remember being able to walk into lids in high
school and know you're gonna walk out with some for
twenty bucks.

Speaker 5 (01:11:01):
Twenty bucks.

Speaker 2 (01:11:02):
Absolutely, maybe maybe it was on sale and you could
get like the the like embroidery, you could pay the extra.
I was never an embroidered guy. I never felt that
confident in myself getting an embroidered shit. But I have
really wanted to get a Pittsburgh Pirates hat and just
get TG stitched like next to the giant p. I

(01:11:22):
thought that'd be really funny.

Speaker 1 (01:11:24):
That reminds me I gotta get a new bucket hat.

Speaker 2 (01:11:28):
Yeah, we should. Also, what if we just got custom
A's hats? But it just said we just got like
the stitch like pee we make it say past the
gravy with just A's.

Speaker 1 (01:11:38):
Oh, I like it? Shit? Can we get our bucket
hats back in the store.

Speaker 2 (01:11:43):
Harley is in charge of merch, so I will talk
to him, but I wouldn't imagine that that would be
that difficult.

Speaker 1 (01:11:49):
Yeah, and maybe we can even up take because I
think the last time we did him was with our
old merch store.

Speaker 5 (01:11:54):
You're right, I know they do offer them.

Speaker 2 (01:11:57):
And if we get the string one, man, I know
people like some what are you saying? Those aren't bucket
hats to me? I like the bucket hats at the string.
I like being able to throw it over this. I
loved it, dude, like those are those are? Those are
my favorites because that way you can take it to
the pool, you go underwater, it's just floating behind you.
I can I can take it off if I'm mowing
the yard or doing doing anything outside.

Speaker 7 (01:12:17):
Maybe you're on a boat for your buddy's bachelor party,
and then it won't blow off your head and you'll
lose it forever.

Speaker 2 (01:12:22):
You did lose yours that way. That was Yes, that
was crazy.

Speaker 1 (01:12:26):
That was very sad.

Speaker 2 (01:12:27):
Two years for the insurance se kicking on. You're your
expense there.

Speaker 1 (01:12:33):
So hey, lucky for you, buddy. I don't even know
how to track what I spent.

Speaker 2 (01:12:38):
I'm the same way. Somebody was talking about expensing ship
and I was like, how do you expense stuff? They're like, yeah,
you send the receipts to this person. And I was like,
you just go to like what a burger? And you're like, well,
I was eating at work.

Speaker 7 (01:12:52):
Here's the Well, No, it's not on the work card
because it's normally on THEIRS, and I do it all the.

Speaker 1 (01:12:58):
Time at work phone call.

Speaker 2 (01:13:00):
I'm so lazy though.

Speaker 7 (01:13:01):
There two and a half months ago, on this day,
this is the card number. I do that five days,
like five times a week. Really yeah, they were like,
oh shit, I never turned that in. Well, I don't
have the receipt anymore, assistant, call the restaurant.

Speaker 1 (01:13:16):
We can pull it up.

Speaker 2 (01:13:18):
I get the logic of doing it. It, just like
I'm not a coupon guy. I think it's cool as
fuck when you find out that somebody like bought eight
thousand rolls of toilet paper for seventy one cents. Because
they use the Sharman buy however, many get something free
and if you spend that like they combined it with
all that shit. I think that's fascinating that people know

(01:13:39):
I do that, And then I think it's cool that
people are like, oh, right off this. I don't know.
I don't keep receipts on shit, man, I don't return
stuff on Amazon if I buy the wrong stuff.

Speaker 1 (01:13:51):
Which apparently I found out, you can just like bring
shit to Kroger.

Speaker 5 (01:13:55):
We're still not gonna do that. I'm still not going to.

Speaker 2 (01:13:59):
I get it. People have simplified, like when we talk
about not doing returns, there's so many peop little bit like, yo, dude,
did you know that you and Pat can just go.

Speaker 5 (01:14:06):
I'm not gonna do it. Pat's not gonna do.

Speaker 2 (01:14:08):
I'm not even gonna tell Pat that he can do that,
because Pat's not going to do it. I know Pat will.

Speaker 5 (01:14:12):
I know I know it, and I know that I'm
more likely to than Pat.

Speaker 7 (01:14:15):
I forget what it was I was ordering, but I
got set the knee sleeve instead and the leg sleeve. Well,
someone at work last week hurt their knee on Memorial
Day and when she came back in, she missed the
whole week.

Speaker 1 (01:14:26):
When she came back in, I'll say, hey, Linda, check
it out for.

Speaker 2 (01:14:29):
You, and now thoughtful Pat Like, wow, Pat's a real
thoughtful guy.

Speaker 1 (01:14:34):
She was like, oh, how much would I owe you?
I was like, Linda, I don't even know what this
thing costs.

Speaker 5 (01:14:40):
Because I didn't order it, and they say the wrong thing.

Speaker 1 (01:14:43):
It was definitely more than the thing that I had ordered.

Speaker 2 (01:14:46):
Like the one thing I'll fight is Comcast, just because
I'm spiteful. Like if I don't like you, I will
be spiteful and I will fight back to get six dollars.
But like she me, that.

Speaker 1 (01:14:57):
Reminded me of one of my chores that I've forgotten about. Oh,
Fox hasn't worked in a month. That happens, so I
you know what I did.

Speaker 7 (01:15:06):
I have wires going around my wall from my TV
one to this side TV and I plugged in my
fire stick to this one over a gear. So I
don't even know that one doesn't work because it's not
been hooked up in a month.

Speaker 2 (01:15:17):
And you live right down the street from a store.

Speaker 1 (01:15:19):
You literally just need to bring it to them and
they will fix it in all you do.

Speaker 2 (01:15:22):
All you got to do is take it to them,
exchange this and they give you a new one.

Speaker 7 (01:15:27):
Yeah, it would. It would literally take me longer to
drive there than I would be inside the store.

Speaker 2 (01:15:34):
Well, my hack is is make sure you do this
a day before you return it. This is what I
do when I return all of the default like the
the non functioning equipment it was, stuff starts breaking. I
put it, I turned the shower and I put it
under the water in the shower and make sure that
it like absolutely gets ruined electrically. Because that company I

(01:15:55):
should probably not be saying the name, but that company
that runs a swamp's mass they just will. They'll give
you a refurbished version of it. But like I've had
it happen before work. I've picked up uh like a
replacement something, and it was a broken one that yeah,
sometimes you know, we just recycle them. I was like,
so you took a broken thing and instead of fixing it,
you just gave it to somebody else. They're like, fuck
that guy. So I make sure that it it's like

(01:16:18):
soaked in water, it's gotten wet to will it. It
will not work. So then like it'll come back again,
like oh, this is the second time it's get returned.
We got to sit it back like.

Speaker 1 (01:16:28):
Away, just take a video of it not working.

Speaker 2 (01:16:30):
No, you don't have to prove that it doesn't work.
You just say, hey, this doesn't work, I need a
new one, and then they'll change it. But if you
make sure that it doesn't like prove that it won't work,
like sometimes it'll work and it'll turn on for a
second and then it'll like go through its cycle and
ramp up and then it'll go out the next time.
You got to soak that bad boy and ruin it,
because they will fucking give it to somebody else.

Speaker 5 (01:16:48):
And I'm trying to I'm trying to create a better.

Speaker 1 (01:16:51):
Place right here, all right, A lot of effort.

Speaker 2 (01:16:53):
It's not though. You just turn the shower and you're like, soak,
all right, see you later.

Speaker 1 (01:16:59):
I didn't work.

Speaker 7 (01:17:00):
The only thing I used it for for like a
week when it happened was I could still like use
the voice remote to go into like HBO or whatever.
Which that's the main thing that sucks is that was
the one box that was logged into HBO on with
my buddy's account. So even when I get it return it,
I'll have to be like, hey, Evince.

Speaker 1 (01:17:19):
I didn't have your log in again.

Speaker 2 (01:17:21):
Do you share and log in with him?

Speaker 1 (01:17:26):
I think I've given him something over the years.

Speaker 2 (01:17:28):
Because as long as you have like the exchange, I
don't have a problem to be like, yo, I need
the password. Hey I sent you a six digit code.
I need you to go verify this thing. Like it's
it's when you have the friends. It's like, hey, I
know that you wanted to use my Roku app or whatever.

Speaker 5 (01:17:44):
It is, like, oh, you use my peacock.

Speaker 2 (01:17:48):
If I if I have one of yours, like my
sister in law she has Disney, So like all the
time like hey, I need the I need this, I
need you to go approve that this is me. We
want to watch Blue again, and so like it's like
every day with me and then shimming. What's the Netflix thing?
But really I do that ten times a week.

Speaker 1 (01:18:06):
There. This is the same buddy that I'm hoping for
the second year in a row. He once again forgets
to cancel his NFL package because I also use his.

Speaker 5 (01:18:16):
Yeah, but you could just go to the bar with me.

Speaker 2 (01:18:19):
I watch games this year.

Speaker 1 (01:18:21):
That's true.

Speaker 5 (01:18:22):
Boys going to the bar. The boys going to the
bar is coming back.

Speaker 1 (01:18:25):
Bro The best bar is just right next to us, and.

Speaker 2 (01:18:29):
I won't even have Premier League soccer to watch there anymore,
so like it's all my football bar now.

Speaker 1 (01:18:37):
I don't think they're opening up early for the second.

Speaker 2 (01:18:40):
They'd probably watched the championship. Say up, Paramount plus they
have pairmount plus? Is it makes place? All right, Let's
move on and wrap this up with the answers segment.
The answers segment is you know, we did the pre
come segment where we pitched some my ideas guack and roll,
wedding party, divorce insurance, Somali yay. I think that Samalia

(01:19:01):
is going to take off verbal trademarket. Like, looking back
at it, the wording is weird. The way it would
be spelled was s o m M E L I
E ya.

Speaker 1 (01:19:15):
I thought it was going to be for Somali's or something.
I thought that's where you were going with it at first.

Speaker 2 (01:19:20):
Oh, or it could just be pirate wine.

Speaker 1 (01:19:24):
Like when you first said it. I thought it was
going to be something to do with Kanye being racist
to Somalis. I'm happy that's not what the app was.
I don't know. I don't think that one would be
as popular.

Speaker 2 (01:19:33):
I want to rule out and that he has been,
but yeah, that's not what it was for. I'm sure, yeah,
any any group at all. I'm sure he's been racist
to it at some point, hates everybody. But the answer
segment is where you get to give us your business ideas,

Speaker 1 (01:20:28):
Dot conk question.

Speaker 3 (01:20:31):
Answer answers answers answer any questions.

Speaker 2 (01:20:39):
Our first question this week is from Leon, and Leon
says is luck a real thing?

Speaker 5 (01:20:47):
Or do you make your own?

Speaker 1 (01:20:51):
Well? They say luck is when preparation meets preparedness. Ship.
I started saying it and I forgot what it actually wants.

Speaker 2 (01:21:00):
A real man makes his own luck. Billy zaying Titanic.

Speaker 7 (01:21:04):
There's different kinds of luck. There's I mean, there's turnover luck.
That's a real thing in football, bounces your way some
days it doesn't.

Speaker 1 (01:21:13):
Uh.

Speaker 7 (01:21:15):
And then there's just straight up. I threw a bet
on a game that my buddy the other day. I
told you about this. He texted me, Hey, have you
ever bet on counter strike? Because I just made five
bucks on the South American Tournament.

Speaker 1 (01:21:27):
That's luck. You had no idea what the fuck you
were betting?

Speaker 2 (01:21:31):
Yeah? No, luck. A lot of times luck is the
result of like preparation and stuff, and like something happens,
like something might look lucky if you're prepared for it,
and maybe everybody else isn't prepared for it, you know,
Like I think a lot of times hard work a
lot of times in like it's like hard work preparedness

(01:21:51):
and all that stuff like.

Speaker 1 (01:21:52):
That, where hard work meets preparation.

Speaker 2 (01:21:54):
I think that that that works hard meets preparation, luck
can be a very big proponent of that.

Speaker 5 (01:22:01):
But also lucky.

Speaker 2 (01:22:03):
Is a real fucking thing where sometimes shit just happens. Man,
Sometimes you just get fucking lucky.

Speaker 5 (01:22:08):
Sometimes sometimes I.

Speaker 1 (01:22:10):
Have not had a massive heart attack. It's pretty lucky.
I'm alive.

Speaker 2 (01:22:14):
You just grab a football and hold on to it
while Pro Bowl safety is trying to fucking yanke it
off your helmet, and it's in a super Bowl and
you just go down with it as the greatest catch
of Super Bowl history. Sometimes that just fucking happens, and
that's the way it goes.

Speaker 7 (01:22:28):
Sometimes, like as a kid, like you throw something and
like it hits something and it knocks it off the
shelf and it falls but doesn't break.

Speaker 1 (01:22:37):
Oh so lucky.

Speaker 2 (01:22:38):
Sometimes you're trying to guess a random card out of
an entire deck of cards and you might just get it.
Sometimes that was luck.

Speaker 1 (01:22:46):
I think that was superior mental ability.

Speaker 2 (01:22:48):
Okay, all right, might have been, might have been. I
mean there's like sometimes me wearing the same shirt every
game that my team hasn't lost, like and that them
going on. That's luck, man. I don't know, Like, I
don't know how to explain it.

Speaker 5 (01:23:02):
But some things are just fucking lucky.

Speaker 2 (01:23:05):
Like luck is made by preparation and stuff like that,
but sometimes you just need a little luck. And if
it's if you're prepared, and like there's games where you's,
like you watch any you watch the Yeah, turnover looks
a thing. Hey ball didn't go our way today, But
sometimes it just does and you get lucky. You know.
Sometimes you can be prepared all you want and one
fucking punch knocks you out.

Speaker 5 (01:23:26):
You know, shit like that happens. Shit like that happens.

Speaker 7 (01:23:30):
You can't make your own luck, but just dumb. That's
why there's many different kinds of luck. Sometimes it's dumb
luck and you just got lucky.

Speaker 2 (01:23:39):
You can make your own luck, but luck is an
absolute real thing.

Speaker 7 (01:23:43):
Yeah, making your own luck is cool. Getting lucky I
think is even better. So they say money won is
better than money urged.

Speaker 2 (01:23:51):
Yeah, fun, Yeah, I was doing I didn't. I wasn't
expected to win this, and I did.

Speaker 1 (01:23:57):
I've worked all week for the money that I earned,
but that three teen parlay felt a hell of a lot.

Speaker 2 (01:24:02):
Yeah, like I knew. I knew what my paycheck was
going to be coming home that day. I knew on
Friday I was gonna get X amount of dollars. I
didn't know that the Knicks were going to cover four
and a half tonight.

Speaker 1 (01:24:16):
I trusted the part that I shouldn't have, and I
didn't pop my pants. Good luck.

Speaker 2 (01:24:20):
I was wearing white shorts. Could have been disastrous. Now,
I was very lucky.

Speaker 1 (01:24:25):
I had white shorts one time in college and I
trusted a fart and I backed out of that party
real quick before anyway.

Speaker 2 (01:24:33):
My bet, I bet like Jonah Hill with the period's day.

Speaker 1 (01:24:37):
Yeah, except it was brown and on my bubble.

Speaker 2 (01:24:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:24:39):
I threw those paints away and have never bought white.

Speaker 2 (01:24:41):
Sense smart. It's after Labor Day too, so you shot.
This is from our buddy Patrick McClellan. Pat says embarrassed
male librarian. That's embarrassed about his job title. A bookie.

Speaker 1 (01:24:59):
That's it. That's such a better way to put it.

Speaker 2 (01:25:01):
Yeah, no, I think that that is, uh that place
you're still in fact, you're still a library.

Speaker 1 (01:25:06):
Have more bookies that were librarians back in the day
before the Internet. That would have been the perfect cover up.

Speaker 2 (01:25:11):
Why would that not just be your alter ego? I'm
a librarian. They said, you're a bookie. Yeah, male librarian.

Speaker 7 (01:25:17):
Dude, you need something to put on the taxes, might
as well work at the local library.

Speaker 2 (01:25:22):
I'm an avid reader. Excuse me.

Speaker 1 (01:25:25):
I mean they had, like even before like the full
on the internet, and everyone had like like internet phones.
They had internet there, they had printers. You could be
printing off all the odds, all that kind of stuff.
It would honestly be the best place to do it.

Speaker 2 (01:25:39):
Yeah, so yes, I'm going to allow it on that
on pat that's a fantastic observation. If you're cause you're like,
what do you do for a living, uh, librarian, your guy,
it's like a murse, which still we need we need
male nurses. Would you do a work in the library
youre librarian? Well, yeah, I remember. Actually they call me

(01:26:01):
a bookie. Actually a bookie like that that sounds way cool.

Speaker 1 (01:26:04):
You're right, yeah, it being a bookie is a cool lest.

Speaker 2 (01:26:08):
Shot, even if that's not what you really are.

Speaker 5 (01:26:11):
It just sounds cool to say.

Speaker 1 (01:26:13):
That you're a bookie.

Speaker 2 (01:26:14):
Well you're a bookie, yeah, so and so elementary school.

Speaker 7 (01:26:19):
I was thinking, like the public library not working at
the elementary school.

Speaker 5 (01:26:23):
But I don't think we ever had a dude library and.

Speaker 2 (01:26:26):
At all when I was in school.

Speaker 1 (01:26:29):
Is not even still a job?

Speaker 2 (01:26:32):
Yeah, because I would imagine because they're banning books, Like
I don't think kids are reading books, but I think
parents are pretending that they read books now. Yeah, but
usually you would go to the library to like use
laptop or use computers.

Speaker 7 (01:26:47):
Now they all get chromebooks everybody in school. That's what
I'm saying. Is there a need for the library anymore
in the school or can they just turn that into
the designated dodgeball room.

Speaker 2 (01:26:58):
I don't know if there's a need for it, but
I know there's still our libraries because people are still
like to kill a Mockingbird should not be read in school,
Like people are mad about books, so like you don't
get mad at books if there's not a library.

Speaker 7 (01:27:12):
Maybe the library's job in school now is just to
tell parents, don't be a pussy.

Speaker 1 (01:27:17):
It's a fucking book.

Speaker 2 (01:27:18):
I saw somebody that we went to school with. They
was bitching about to kill a mockingbird, which is why
I picked that specifically. She was she wanted it on
the band books list, which I think it is now.
I don't know, I don't, I don't know, but I
was like, I remember you being in a preap ingis
class with me and not reading that book. So I

(01:27:40):
don't really even know if you read the books, how
would you know what the book was about.

Speaker 1 (01:27:44):
If somebody else told me what it is about, how
do you know they're not a liar.

Speaker 2 (01:27:47):
It's like when people homeschool their kids and it's like,
you fucking were terrible at school. What are you teaching?
You're a You're dumb as fuck. You shouldn't be teaching anybody.
It's a full moon can field trip outside. We're going
to the munatorium. Mom.

Speaker 5 (01:28:08):
That's just the backyard.

Speaker 2 (01:28:09):
There's no such thing as a monatory.

Speaker 5 (01:28:11):
It's the monatorium. Gab your crystals.

Speaker 1 (01:28:15):
That'd be the worst home schooling ever.

Speaker 2 (01:28:18):
Yeah, I don't know, but bookie for a male librarian,
I love that. Hell, I love that Pat josh Trecottle
at Joshua Tree seven and three on X says Power
Rank Robin Williams Movies.

Speaker 5 (01:28:32):
We kind of talked about Robin Williams and what his best.

Speaker 2 (01:28:34):
Movie was last week, so he followed up on that.
He gave us Flubber, Misdoubtfire, Aladdin, Hook, and ju Mungi
Good Morning Vietnam not on there. I feel like this
could be a very different list if Good Morning Vietnam
was on there.

Speaker 1 (01:28:52):
Yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 5 (01:28:53):
What you take off out of it.

Speaker 2 (01:28:56):
I would guess Aladdin, all right, he said, Aladdin, Flubber, Misdoubt, Fire, Hook,
and Jumungie. I would imagine you would take Aladdin off
because it was animated.

Speaker 1 (01:29:10):
I'm not worry about satting everything up. I'm respecting the
process right here.

Speaker 2 (01:29:15):
So why.

Speaker 5 (01:29:18):
I'll put mine together.

Speaker 2 (01:29:19):
If you want to figure out you're fast.

Speaker 1 (01:29:20):
Yeah, go ahead and go first.

Speaker 2 (01:29:22):
I'm gonna go.

Speaker 1 (01:29:23):
Five.

Speaker 5 (01:29:23):
Flubber I thought he was. He was fantastic Flubber.

Speaker 2 (01:29:27):
Flubber of the movie just was more of a I
didn't love Flubber the movie the most out of these.
Then four is Hook Hook was cool? It would just
it just made me hungry eat the food scene when
they were just imagining all that food there.

Speaker 1 (01:29:42):
That rocked.

Speaker 2 (01:29:43):
But Hook was cool. Three was a lad and the
genie was amazing. And then to Jumungi because I watched
that movie a shit ten of times as a kid.
One missed out fire. I said it last week. That
was his best movie. You get to see a little
bit of everything with him. I think if you had
good Morning Vietnam, Good Morning Vietnam would probably go above
jumuni As too. But that's not what That's not what

(01:30:05):
we were giving here is what do you got?

Speaker 1 (01:30:07):
God forbid you put goodwill hunting on here. That's been
slaughter everything.

Speaker 2 (01:30:10):
That would have been tough.

Speaker 1 (01:30:11):
I that's true.

Speaker 7 (01:30:15):
I'll I'm with you Flubber at five just because the
other four are just it's just a different level.

Speaker 1 (01:30:20):
Like Flubber was really good, it's just it was stupid.

Speaker 2 (01:30:23):
Stupid, funny.

Speaker 5 (01:30:25):
It just doesn't hold.

Speaker 7 (01:30:26):
Yeah, yeah, I will go see. And this is where
it just gets hard, because the rest of these are
all fantastic. In my eyes, I'll go Jumanji four and
Hook three.

Speaker 1 (01:30:39):
I fucking love Hook and I love Jumanji too, But
I in my head, I just couldn't justify Hook being four.
It's so good in all aspects.

Speaker 2 (01:30:48):
To me, were you judging this on Robin Williams acting
in the movie or were you judging it on the
movie as a whole, Because that's kind of what changed me,
because I think Jumunji was probably Jumunji would have been
four if it was Robin Willims act specifically, because like,
I liked you, I liked him in that, but the
story of Jumunji was just sick as a kid, like
this game comes to life.

Speaker 1 (01:31:08):
Why, Like, I don't think any of them can really
be judged strictly on his acting because his acting is
so good in all of them. Uh, but also I
love Hook. It hurts putting humans before. But it had
to Aladdin.

Speaker 7 (01:31:22):
I'm going to Aladdin is and he's a piece of it,
and he's the voice acker this with but it's sucking
Aladdin man.

Speaker 2 (01:31:28):
And then Will Smith came in and did the other
version of it.

Speaker 1 (01:31:31):
I don't even acknowledge that it was garbage.

Speaker 5 (01:31:33):
And you're like, oh, guess what. You can't avery Rabbit
ways that's.

Speaker 1 (01:31:36):
Also an impossible role. Hey, guess what we need you
to recreate? Robin Williams can't be done but miss stout
fire one. It's it's missed out fire man. I don't
even know what about it. Get everything, the guy dressing
up as a woman, the voices, everything on.

Speaker 2 (01:31:55):
The track, all of it. Yeah, solid power rankings, Josh,
I'm glad. I'm glad you sent that in buddy uh.

Speaker 5 (01:32:05):
Todd Voss is at as.

Speaker 2 (01:32:07):
Underscore seen Underscore by Underscore TV on X and he
says why is belated only used in the context of
wishing someone a happy birthday after the fact. Can you
be belated at other times? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:32:20):
I think it will be funny, Like, hey, honey, last night,
blated great.

Speaker 2 (01:32:26):
Job, Happy belated anniversary.

Speaker 7 (01:32:28):
I fell asleep right away afterwards because you did such
a good job. I just wanted to wish you a
belated great job.

Speaker 5 (01:32:35):
I feel like I've heard blated used.

Speaker 2 (01:32:38):
Outside of just birthdays. Usually it's birthdays. I feel like
when you get to like the beginning of the year,
people be like happy, happy belated New Year, and they're like,
you know you to tell me that you can just
say happy New Year. I felt blated New Year maybe
and maybe Christmas from like when you go back to
work after shit like that in between. Sometimes sometimes you'll

(01:32:59):
get that.

Speaker 1 (01:33:01):
Even though you but those just they don't feel right.

Speaker 2 (01:33:04):
They're probably not like the correct turns. But I think
like blated should be just like, hey, sorry I missed
you on that day. Here's Mike, I'm is this me
saying hey, congratulations? Still like happy whatever?

Speaker 1 (01:33:16):
Sorry, Hey, here's my ballated term paper. I know I'm
like yesterday, but here it is all right.

Speaker 2 (01:33:23):
School before it was more blated. It was a late payment,
and it was a blated payment.

Speaker 1 (01:33:29):
I would like to start bringing it in more. I
should do that when like I get to a tables
anything else, sudden get you? Oh we have some mass potatoes. Oh,
let me go get Hey, here's those bladed mas.

Speaker 2 (01:33:38):
Belated massed potatoes.

Speaker 7 (01:33:40):
Because all the time of hey, sorry about the weight
on that, Like when the kitchen just forgets to make
the side for a table.

Speaker 2 (01:33:46):
They're a little blated.

Speaker 1 (01:33:47):
Right now, there's those bullated russels sprout. Sorry.

Speaker 2 (01:33:50):
You need to just start using it as like a
just skipt as an adjective and adjective. They're they're a little,
a little ballated. They're running behind.

Speaker 1 (01:34:00):
I start the kitchens backed up right now, the kitchens
a little blated.

Speaker 2 (01:34:04):
Right now, that does sound fancier than backed up, and
they would, but.

Speaker 1 (01:34:08):
Also it would confuse people into being not mad anymore
because what.

Speaker 2 (01:34:11):
The right which because it blated sounds like elated, which
would be excited.

Speaker 1 (01:34:15):
So you're like, which they should be to finally get
their food.

Speaker 2 (01:34:19):
Right, But you're like, oh, they're just excited. Sorry, they're
very excited that you're here today to eat? Are they
saying that they're excited? Well, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's exactly what.

Speaker 1 (01:34:31):
That works. That works. It really is only used for
birthdays though those other reasons. Most of the time I've
heard new Year.

Speaker 5 (01:34:39):
I've heard new Year before.

Speaker 2 (01:34:41):
I know that one. I don't know if that is accurate,
but yeah, like I like ballated, blated needs to be
used more often.

Speaker 1 (01:34:50):
Yes, great, great question, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:34:56):
Good job, Todd. Yes, all right, Last, but not least,
we got Nap weighing in and Natalie's gonna wrap this
week's podcast up. Natalie says, what is the best excuse
to use to not go to a wedding? We just
talked about weddings quite a bit today. Actually, I would
say is investation save like other plans. Sorry, I've already

(01:35:22):
previously committed to plans that.

Speaker 1 (01:35:25):
I mean, the basic one that everyone can use. Sorry,
I can't get out of work.

Speaker 2 (01:35:29):
Yeah, or just like I already had SA already had
plans that weekend areet, I was already committed to something.
I can't get out of it, Like you don't have
to explain what it was, you can kind of just
say that'd be vague. And then my other one.

Speaker 1 (01:35:39):
Is hard to do because you get wedding invit so
far in advance.

Speaker 2 (01:35:43):
Oh that's true. But if you got out of one,
like maybe you had already RSVPD just didn't want to
go to diarrhea diary is always sorry, I have diarrhea,
Like nobody.

Speaker 1 (01:35:53):
I didn't want to have diarrhea all over your wedding.

Speaker 2 (01:35:56):
Yeah, like no, and like yeah, if if you had
been like, hey Alex, I can't make it your wedding,
I have diarrhea, I would not have asked any follow
up questions. But hey, I'm glad you're I hope you're okay, man.
But also no, you're not growing up with diarrhea.

Speaker 1 (01:36:09):
You gotta have bad for it to be able to
make you miss a wedding that you were already rs
VP two that's the thing. That's a day of I
didn't show up to your wedding excuse. I don't Okay,
I don't think that's a good one.

Speaker 2 (01:36:23):
You know, because just I would say food poisoning, food poisoning,
because that could be anything.

Speaker 1 (01:36:27):
Yeah, yeah, that's that's a good big sorry. You know,
I know I r s vp oscle. I got food
poisoning so bad last.

Speaker 2 (01:36:34):
Night there was the salami I must add at the
deli I slept.

Speaker 1 (01:36:38):
Yeah, food poisoning. I used that a couple of times
when I didn't show up to work when I was nineteen.

Speaker 2 (01:36:45):
Food poisoning is like I would always use migraines when
I worked at Kruger. That was always mine because I
had a cousin. My cousin's wife had migraines and she
was like, I can't even see half the time when
I have migraines. And as that that sounds awful, I
didn't realize it a migraine was a headache. I thought
it was something with their eyes.

Speaker 1 (01:37:03):
I mean, women, you can always use the period cramp thing.
Cramps are out of control.

Speaker 2 (01:37:09):
We can't use that. But still, yeah, just like like hey,
I'm so sorry, Like if you're not r svping and
you get it and it's enough advancement. I actually was
already booked that weekend. I'm so sorry, Like say you
had something you already but your previously booked because not
even now this isn't hard. And then other they say
it food poisoning.

Speaker 1 (01:37:28):
Yeah, Like for me, I can always be like this SORR,
there's a big catering going on that weekend. Yeah, I
gotta be at work.

Speaker 2 (01:37:34):
Work, I gotta work this weekend.

Speaker 9 (01:37:37):
I can't take it off like the head ones like
day of food poisoning as your go to weddings normally,
if you're trying to not even r SVP to it,
you gotta be like, yeah, there's there's a big work
thing I can't.

Speaker 1 (01:37:50):
Get out of it.

Speaker 2 (01:37:50):
Can't get out of it. Yeah, and but yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:37:54):
I just don't lose your job between then and the
Then in the wedding.

Speaker 2 (01:37:58):
Do people send wedding and it's that are like yes
or no for the RCP, and then like reason, that'd
be really funny if you had like reason that you
cannot attend.

Speaker 1 (01:38:08):
See that's the only time they would ask a reason
is if you're close to them, and if you're that
close to them, I can't really.

Speaker 2 (01:38:14):
Yeah, wait till the day and like I got that's
the food poison.

Speaker 1 (01:38:18):
That's what it is.

Speaker 2 (01:38:21):
