Everyone seventeen. Got some fog to deal with outside. Be
careful out there. We got mostly Claudi's guys. Ten percent
chance of rain highs them around seventy nine today.
Speaker 1 (00:48):
All right, where are we pick it up where we
left off?
Speaker 4 (00:50):
Well, the last time we were with you was our
Valentine's Day show known as the Mile of Meat. I've
left plenty of time. I brought in stuff, but I
did leave Lenn in your room in case we get
some phone calls to kind of recap what happened on Friday.
I got a couple of emails to share with you.
(01:11):
But Friday was a wild one, but we got to
get back into it. Three time Hall of Famer Sean
Connery back in the driver's seat. He's only going for
win number two. Fresh shout of bed head to head Challenge.

leave you with some alter Bridge tickets on the show.
Speaker 1 (01:46):
There's Moe right there with Houston's headlines.
Speaker 5 (01:47):
What you got hey, good morning, So waking up to
sad news this morning. A Reverend Jesse Jackson, a civil
rights icon who ran twice for president, has died, according
to his family. They issued a statement early this morning
saying our was a servant leader, not only to our family,
but to the oppress, the voiceless.
Speaker 6 (02:04):
And the overlooked around the world.
Speaker 5 (02:06):
So he died peacefully with his loved ones at his side,
which is great news. But you remember back in November,
I guess it was he was hospitalized. He's been living,
or had been living over a decade with a disease
called PSP, and it impacts the patient's ability to walk
and swallow, has dangerous complications. No official word on what
his cause of death was, but he was eighty four.
(02:29):
Savannah Guthrie shared an emotional video over the weekend about
her missing mother, Miss Nancy. She said, basically, we still
have hope and urging those involved to do the right thing.
Investigators have found multiple gloves near Nancy's home, including one
that may match a suspect that was seen on FBI footage.
The FBI said the gloves DNA does not match evidence
(02:51):
they found on the scene, but it was added to
the national database. They said it does make sure that
anyone tied to Nancy. So like they're talking about like
lawn people, people that were in the home, like the
pool guy, all of those people have been cleared and
all of the family, including you know, the siblings, spouses
(03:13):
have all been cleared.
Speaker 6 (03:14):
They're not involved in her disappearance.
Speaker 5 (03:17):
The Olympics have the eyes of the world on sports,
and some people at ESPN got together to determine what
exactly is.
Speaker 6 (03:24):
The hardest sport in the world.
Speaker 7 (03:26):
This is interesting and the Olympics are just in all sports, and.
Speaker 5 (03:29):
They took sixty sports. The most difficult and demanding sport
in the world.
Speaker 6 (03:37):
They decided was boxing.
Speaker 7 (03:39):
Okay, I would maybe not demanding, but I would say
the most difficult sport to be good at is golf.
Speaker 1 (03:45):
Ooh okay, wait, it's way down on the list. Professional golfer.
I feel like.
Speaker 6 (03:52):
Easiest, one of the easiest.
Speaker 4 (03:55):
Any schmoke could go out there and play golf. You're right,
good though, you're.
Speaker 7 (03:58):
Right, But a scottishaf would beat anybody else in the world.
Speaker 1 (04:02):
It's not also a professional golfer any day, and Mike
Tyson would kill you. Oh that's true.
Speaker 3 (04:07):
True.
Speaker 5 (04:08):
Yeah, Boxing, high hockey football were the number three hardest.
Speaker 6 (04:13):
It's a very interesting list.
Speaker 5 (04:14):
And the sixty that they picked also I found very interesting.
You know, you're watching curling and you're like, I could
do that. ESPN kind of agrees. They said curling was crazy.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
That's what they said. Rod's tried to curl before.
Speaker 5 (04:26):
It's not as easy as not as easy as ESPN
says it is. In more sad news, Robert Duval passed
away on Sunday. His wife said to the world he
was an Academy Award winning actor, director, and storyteller, but
to me he was simply.
Speaker 1 (04:42):
Everything, just the Godfather music.
Speaker 6 (04:44):
His career was very ridiculously impressive.
Speaker 1 (04:49):
He was amazing.
Speaker 6 (04:50):
Started out.
Speaker 5 (04:50):
His first big break on the big screen was in
nineteen sixty twos To Kill a Mockingbird.
Speaker 1 (04:55):
He played Bradley.
Speaker 5 (04:56):
We all wanted to watch that in school, yes, and then,
of course I remember him from Gone in sixty Seconds.
Speaker 4 (05:03):
The one movie you've seen, The Godfather, Alex thinks his favorite,
His best role ever, even better than The Godfather, was
four Christmases.
Speaker 5 (05:15):
I'm losing my buzz. Oh my goodness. A lot of
other famous actress posting tributes to duvaul He was ninety five.
All right, put your Sherlock hat on. We need a
mummy sleuth to figure out what's going on with my
chemical romance.
Speaker 6 (05:31):
They deleted all.
Speaker 5 (05:32):
The posts from their ex account ahead of their final
show on their Latin American leg of their tour. The
timing has fans buzzing about possible new music. They had
been droumping a lot of hints that tour picks back
up in May when they have some festival dates. We'll
see what happens.
Speaker 1 (05:49):
Until then.
Speaker 6 (05:50):
Those are Houston's headlines.
Speaker 1 (05:51):
Thank you, Alex, what you got.
Speaker 7 (05:53):
At the Winter Olympics, t USA added two more medals
to their total yesterday. Elena Meyers Taylor took home gold
in the women's solo said while fellow American Kaylie Humphreys
got goal or got bronze.
Speaker 1 (06:03):
In the same event.
Speaker 7 (06:04):
The US women's hockey team blew out Sweeten five nothing
to set up a gold medal game against Canada on Thursday.
Team USA men is going to play either Germany, France
or Latvia tomorrow in the quarterfinals of the men's tournament,
depending on how the other games play out, and then overall,
Team USA has nineteen total medals, which is third most.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
Behind Norway and Italy. That is what's going on in sports,
all right, Here we go, Here we go. Four Hours

six Happy Birthday, one hundred years old this year.
Speaker 4 (24:40):
It's about twenty five hundred miles. It spans eight states.
It starts in Chicago and it ends in Santa Monica, California.

wore the corsets.
Speaker 4 (25:25):
That is, let's bring that back. Maybe maybe some man's
spanks or something. They were popular for hunting and exercise,
kind of like how weightlifters wear belts today. But yeah,
the dudes wore the corsets. I think they wore the
long wigs and the high heels too. Infect You guys
(25:48):
stole everything from us.
Speaker 1 (25:49):
Thanks.
Speaker 4 (25:53):
I did not grow up even talking about this or
hearing about it, except from my dad, who he would
tell you he went to parochial school.

the crap out of them.
Speaker 6 (26:14):
Yes, I've heard of that.
Speaker 4 (26:17):
There are still seventeen US states, mostly in the Southeast,
where it is legal for teachers to use corporal punishment
on students. That's neat teachers can legally hit students in
seventeen US states.
Speaker 1 (26:31):
That was never around.
Speaker 4 (26:32):
It was never even talked about except for my dad
telling these old timey stories.
Speaker 1 (26:36):
Yeah, it's still on the books places. That's insane to me.
Did you grow up with that?
Speaker 6 (26:42):
No, but my dad told me stories.
Speaker 1 (26:44):
The dad told you stories, Alex. Corporal punishment ever for you?
Speaker 6 (26:47):
No, never, you can tell.
Speaker 1 (26:51):

I'm hoping that we get some updates about Mile of Meat.
I got time, I got phone lines here, and I
got time.
Speaker 4 (32:11):
And you have an attentive audience that would love some
updates on the Mile of Meat.
Speaker 1 (32:15):
I got a couple of emails to get us started.
Next hour. I got MO right now with Houston's headlines
Morning Rod.
Speaker 5 (32:22):
So we woke up to the news that Reverend Jesse
Jackson had passed away. The civil rights icon who ran
twice for US president died, according to his family. They
issued a statement early this morning saying, our father was
a servant leader not only to our family, but to
the oppressed, the voiceless, and the overlooked around the world.
He died peacefully with his loves ones at his side.
(32:43):
But since November. Back in November, he was hospitalized. He'd
been living over a decade with a disease called PSP
that impacts the patient's ability to walk and swallow and
has obviously dangerous complications.
Speaker 6 (32:55):
No official word on his.
Speaker 5 (32:57):
Cause of death as of yet.
Speaker 6 (32:59):
He was eighty five.
Speaker 5 (33:01):
Two people were killed three others were hurt after a
gunman opened fire during a high school hockey game in
Rhode Island yesterday afternoon. So police were called the scene
just before two point thirty in the afternoon, where they
found the alleged shooter dead inside the arena from a
self inflicted gunshot wound. Another person died at the hospital.
Police now believe the shooting was a targeted event tied
(33:21):
to some family dispute, but the game between the two
high school teams was being live streamed online, so everything
was captured on.
Speaker 6 (33:28):
Video and the footage is really hard to watch.
Speaker 5 (33:31):
I know we're celebrating Marty Grass and that Tuesday, but
today is also Lunar New Year aka the Spring Festival
Chinese New Year. It goes until March third, where ends
with a lantern festival, most important holiday in China and
other Asian communities.
Speaker 6 (33:48):
It's the Year of the Horse.
Speaker 5 (33:49):
Roud Okay, quick search of some things we should have
done today to celebrate I'm already failing.
Speaker 6 (33:54):
We're supposed to do a deep clean of our homes.
Speaker 1 (33:56):
You didn't make you Chinese resolutions.
Speaker 6 (33:58):
Didn't do that, So it to decorate with red. Forgot
about that.
Speaker 5 (34:01):
The red envelope today being given, We're supposed to bring
those us with gold. Oh, the elders give red envelopes
to their children.
Speaker 1 (34:09):
I guess I'm the old one here.
Speaker 5 (34:11):
And we're supposed to not wear black today, and here
I am looking like that.
Speaker 1 (34:15):
Okay, I don't have any black.
Speaker 10 (34:16):
Ops.
Speaker 5 (34:16):
I also put down scissors and knives today. That's another
part of I always one of the beliefs.
Speaker 6 (34:22):
Something about longevity noodles. We got an email about that.
Speaker 4 (34:25):
Someone that worked in real estate used to bring us
some red envelopes.
Speaker 6 (34:30):
Yes, they did drop those off.
Speaker 1 (34:32):
Yes, cool was the word. Yeah, yes, the red envelopes
are very neat.
Speaker 5 (34:37):
Last week we chatted a bit when we saw the
viral videos for the first time. We saw Tom Cruise
and Brad Pitt battling on a rooftop. Very impressive, but
it was a lie.
Speaker 1 (34:46):
It was ai Oh, this is the one we talked about.
Speaker 5 (34:48):
Yes, we talked about it. Hollywood was freaking out immediately
after the clips release the Motion Picture Association. A lot
of director's filmmakers were saying, you know, this was the
end of what they do for a living because of
this video.
Speaker 1 (35:03):
It looked so real.
Speaker 4 (35:04):
You guys probably don't remember, but like when MP three
is like the first time I ever heard about an
MP three. Artists were freaking out there, like their music
was going out everywhere and this is kind of like
a Napster thing, and artists were wondering, we're cooked.
Speaker 1 (35:20):
We can't control it.
Speaker 4 (35:22):
This is you know, that was the whole thing, Like
Lars from Metallica was suing Sean from Napster, and they
couldn't control their own music. It was just being it
was being streamed without their permission. The same thing's happening
now with AI. You have what looks like a cinematic
(35:42):
movie scene of Tom Cruise fighting Brad Pitt.
Speaker 6 (35:45):
And it is definitely them their.
Speaker 1 (35:47):
Likeness, yeah yes, And Hollywood's like, wait a minute, that's
not yours. You can't do that. Tom Cruise is like,
wait a minute, that's me. You can't have me for free,
saying the same strike.
Speaker 7 (35:58):
Was about was like the studios want in the ability
to like, hey, can we want to be able to
like scan you and then be able to use you, you know,
if we have to go back and edit a scene
or something like that. And people who were not cool
about giving that.
Speaker 1 (36:09):
Up the scene.
Speaker 4 (36:12):
Is it looks real and they said it was a
couple of prompts.
Speaker 1 (36:16):
Yeah, to produce it easy.
Speaker 5 (36:18):
So now Disney and other Hollywood studios are threatening infringement
to this bite dance company.
Speaker 1 (36:24):
That's TikTok people. Yeah, the talk.
Speaker 6 (36:27):
Let's talk about Tool for one.
Speaker 4 (36:29):
If you if you're one of the people that haven't
seen the video yet, Chili Chili put up a link.
Speaker 1 (36:33):
It's frightening.
Speaker 4 (36:35):
Yeah, it's crazy because it's still floating around out there
even though they're trying to get it down.
Speaker 1 (36:38):
Everyone's tweeted it out already.
Speaker 5 (36:40):
Yeah, all right, Tool, Well, at least our drummer.
Speaker 1 (36:44):
He says.
Speaker 6 (36:44):
The band is in talks with.
Speaker 5 (36:46):
The Sphere in Vegas possible residency next year.
Speaker 1 (36:50):
Alex and I rout sixty sixty six Let's Go.
Speaker 5 (36:55):
Danny Carry said he thinks Tool would be a perfect
fit for the venue and that residency would come alongside
a new album.
Speaker 1 (37:03):
Can I say that Tool would be perfect? And here's
why Maynard doesn't want anyone looking at him like the
lead singer. Sometimes he's in the back of the stage.
He probably won't even come out. Sometimes he's in the
back of the stage looking at the wall.
Speaker 6 (37:14):
Well, that's perfect.
Speaker 1 (37:15):
He'd be in like the green room doing it.
Speaker 4 (37:17):
He'd be happy with no one looking at him, because
that's what happens in the sphere.
Speaker 1 (37:20):
You know this, Yeah, you're just watching all the graphics streme. Well,
you know on the sphere, I was not paying attention
to a graphics either, just making it black.
Speaker 6 (37:28):
So which comes first, Metallica or.
Speaker 1 (37:30):
Tool a Batallica. I think there's too much chatter about Metallica.
It's got to be real at this point that it's
going to be announced.
Speaker 6 (37:37):
It's real.
Speaker 5 (37:38):
Those are Houston's headlines, all right, alex Olympics.
Speaker 1 (37:42):
Yeah, in Italy right now at the Winter Olympics.
Speaker 7 (37:45):
As they added two more medals to their total yesterday,
Alana Myers Taylor took home gold and the women's solo
Bob said, while fellow American Kayleie Humphries got bronze.
Speaker 1 (37:53):
In that same event.
Speaker 7 (37:54):
The US women's hockey team blew out Sweden five nothing
to set up a gold medal game against Canada on Thursday.
Team USA men are going to play either Germany, France
or that via tomorrow in the quarterfinals of the men's
hockey tournament O Royal. Team USA has nineteen total medals
right now, which is third behind Norway. In Italy, we
have six gold, eight silver, and five bronze.
Speaker 4 (38:13):
Back to the men's hockey team. Tomorrow, we win that game,
we're in the gold medal game.
Speaker 7 (38:18):
Then we play Tomorrow's the quarterfinal game, quarterfinal, then we
would play semifinals, likely either Sweden or Slovakia in the
semi final, then we would go to the final Sunday.
The final event in Italy is the men's hockey.
Speaker 1 (38:31):
Gold medal game. So hopefully three more men's hockey games left. Yes, ideally, okay, right.
Speaker 4 (38:36):
But the women are going to win gold on Thursday.
Speaker 1 (38:39):
If they can be Canada, they gotta be Canada. It's
the most they've already made.
Speaker 7 (38:43):
Kanadas ass to Canada and have the captain and I
mad So you're gonna be a You're gonna be going
up against a pretty upset Canadian team.
Speaker 1 (38:51):
That's all right, women. Our goalie is lights out, yeah,
and our defense hasn't allowed a goal five oh, five oh,
six to oh.
Speaker 7 (39:00):
It's hard to beat a team when you can't score this,
So that's what I always say.
Speaker 4 (39:03):
It's the most dominating performance I've ever seen in my life.
The women's hockey team, it's the greatest thing ever. We
had a softball team in the summer let us.
Speaker 7 (39:11):
I think before that got they got rid of that,
and the US women's team didn't allow anybody on second
base for the entire tournament.
Speaker 1 (39:16):
And this is like right along with that. Yeah, you're right,
all right, guys. The Olympics are fun. Get involved. It's
the last week The.
Speaker 3 (39:23):
Rod Ryan Morning Show six.

I'm trying to get a date for my mom, And
I'm like I'm gonna break all the rules here and
I'm gonna allow this. So she it was the first
time we ever had a mother and a daughter competing
in the mile of Meat.
Speaker 1 (41:17):
So there's a first right there. So you can see
daughters in at.
Speaker 4 (41:21):

Speaker 2 (41:25):

But Chili's got the numbered one through twenty.
Speaker 4 (42:02):
And this is the show where I wrote down a
couple of notes, but very few.
Speaker 1 (42:08):

hands are und you guys all gave me crap. I
(42:28):
got emails they're like, do not do that guy that,
do not do that? Guy dirty like that? The girl
with the white van. That's it. I know it sounds creepy.
She turned out to be awesome. Oh you know her name?
Speaker 6 (42:40):
Yes, her name is Nancy Number five Orange.
Speaker 1 (42:44):
Number five now is number? Is the guy still alive? Yes,
I think so. I don't know. I haven't heard from him.
Speaker 6 (42:52):
I think they're in love.
Speaker 4 (42:55):
There was a girl driving around the mile of me
in a nondescript white van.

about this lineup. We're going to give you that information
and the first pair of tickets.
Speaker 1 (01:00:22):
At nine o'clock.
Speaker 4 (01:00:23):
Fog to deal with this morning, ten percent chance of rain,
mostly cloudy, highs of around seventy nine on this Marty Gras.
We are waking up to some sad news about the
Reverend Jesse Jackson. I heard that first thing this morning.
They were just they were just breaking in. So I
want to say about four o'clock is when they were
kind of that was the breaking news four am this morning.
Speaker 5 (01:00:41):
Yeah, the civil rights icon who twice ran for US
President died according to his family. They issued a statement,
like Rod said early this morning, saying our father was
a servant leader, not only to our family, but to
the oppressed, the voiceless, and the overlooked around the world.
He died peacefully with his loved ones at his side.
His official cause of death was not release what we know.
He was hospitalized back in November after living for a
(01:01:04):
decade with a disease called PSP.
Speaker 6 (01:01:06):
He was eighty four.
Speaker 5 (01:01:09):
Savannah Guthrie shared an emotional video over the weekend about
her missing mother, Miss Nancy, saying we still have hope.
She also urged those involved to do the right thing.
Investigators continue to release information about the multiple gloves they
found near Nancy's home, including one that may match a
suspect scene on that FBI footage that we've seen over
(01:01:30):
and over again. TMZ is reporting a fourth email from
someone claiming to have seen Nancy south of the border,
demanding money for details, and then the sheriff there in
Arizona shared that the family of Nancy has all been
cleared of involvement in her disappearance. That involves the spouses
of all family members.
Speaker 4 (01:01:47):
Such a high profile thing I can only imagine every
nut job in the world is sending in false claims
and everything else. I even called the TMZ guys last week.
They're saying, yeah, we got a guy here that just
wants one bitcoin.
Speaker 1 (01:02:00):
Who it is? Yep, just they wouldn't read the demands
or anything like that either.
Speaker 4 (01:02:04):
Yeah, you know, but it's putting these organizations like newspapers
and TMZ. You know, like they also got to give
this to the FBI, and it's like, we don't know
if this is real or not.
Speaker 1 (01:02:13):
What do you want us to do?
Speaker 8 (01:02:14):
Uh?
Speaker 5 (01:02:15):
The Olympics obviously have the eyes of the world when
it comes to sports right now.
Speaker 6 (01:02:18):
But ESPN a bunch of guys goals over there. Experts
got together.
Speaker 5 (01:02:24):
Decided what is the hardest sport in the world.
Speaker 4 (01:02:27):
Didn't they always say like hitting a baseball is the
hardest thing ever because it's so fast in all of sports.
Speaker 1 (01:02:32):
I've heard that before, right, hitting a baseball.
Speaker 5 (01:02:35):
They picked sixty sports and they ranked them. What's the
most difficult and most demanding sport in the world.
Speaker 6 (01:02:42):
Number one.
Speaker 1 (01:02:44):
Bad minton.
Speaker 6 (01:02:46):
Number one they said, is boxing.
Speaker 4 (01:02:47):
Yeah, that makes sense, you could get killed fast.
Speaker 1 (01:02:51):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:02:52):
Number two is ice hockey.
Speaker 4 (01:02:57):
There is nobody more conditioned. The guys are gonna come
at me. I don't know what it is about skating
and getting out there on that ice, but I'm telling
you I have never seen dudes tougher in any sport.
Speaker 1 (01:03:11):
Here comes the rugby guys. We're the rugby guys. They're
not even on the list. Rugby is going to be
so mad today. I've never seen better conditioned athletes than
hockey players. Alex.
Speaker 4 (01:03:21):
You get at the soccer guys. The soccer guys are
running a marathon every game for God's sake.
Speaker 1 (01:03:24):
Rugby sevens guys.

You got the bottom list.
Speaker 5 (01:03:42):
Yeah, that's the easiest sport the bottom. Fishing came in
at number one.
Speaker 1 (01:03:46):
Come on, I argue with the sport wrangle. Marl billiards
was billion billiards.
Speaker 5 (01:03:53):
Billiards shooting number three, bowling was number four, and curling
number five.
Speaker 1 (01:03:59):
You gotta seen pound ball is bowling. You know I
would be.

and I guess I just didn't have that energy for you.
Speaker 6 (01:20:56):
You know, what I'm saying comes so hard on yourself.

She didn't leave like she was there a long time.
Speaker 4 (01:21:19):
You guys had a long You guys had a couple

be three hours, right.
Speaker 15 (01:21:32):

Speaker 11 (01:21:34):
We had great conversation.
Speaker 15 (01:21:36):
You know, I thought, you know, we were handing it off.
You know, I want to get a number at the
end of the night before I had to leave because
I had to work next day. Yeah, but you know,
I don't know what happened.
Speaker 7 (01:21:46):
Man, did go ahead?
Speaker 1 (01:21:48):
Did you buy her a couple of drinks?
Speaker 11 (01:21:51):
She's not a drinker? Oh, you know, I offered, you know,
I offered if you wanted like a coach, right yeah, right?
Speaker 1 (01:21:59):
Did you have maybe too much to drink? You had
to work in the morning, so probably not.
Speaker 11 (01:22:03):
Well no, I mean she gave me her beer, you know.
Speaker 4 (01:22:06):
Tell yeah, yeah, okay, yeah, okay, So you guys spent
about three hours together. Did you say you wanted to
get her number and didn't, or you did get the number.
Speaker 11 (01:22:15):
Now I wanted to get her number, you know, at
the end of nine. I was going to play cool
about it, you know, and be like, hey, you know,
can I guess your number?
Speaker 7 (01:22:20):
Four?
Speaker 15 (01:22:21):
You got to roll out. Yeah, But now she left
before I could wait.
Speaker 1 (01:22:25):
You didn't get to say bye, like you know, there's
no goodbye, there's no nothing. She just bailed. Next thing,
you know, you turn around, she's not there.
Speaker 15 (01:22:32):
Well, no, she said, you know, she said, I had
a great time, but I'll catch you later.

you up a little bit? Did you hear that email
that I read before you came down and just talking
about what a positive experience she had with number eleven
and they didn't have a love connection. But then she
said she wanted to point out the time and the
energy that you guys put forth. There's a lot of work, dude.
It was a long day for you.
Speaker 15 (01:23:20):

but you.
Speaker 4 (01:24:35):

single Monster Jammy.
Speaker 1 (01:25:10):

show cow shirt in.

that he makes for the Rod Ryan show.
Speaker 1 (01:25:51):

That means the world to me. Thank you for taking
the time to do that.
Speaker 22 (01:26:04):
Man.
Speaker 1 (01:26:04):
Those are beautiful. Those are beautiful. And that's is that
him and the pick. Yeah, that's him in the pick
holding him. That's so great. Thank you so much, man.
That really that means the world to me.
Speaker 4 (01:26:14):
So thank you, Chili. I see all your six picks.
Lots of behind the scenes stuff. Chili was partying Chili,
you were partying at Mile of Meat a little bit.
Speaker 19 (01:26:24):
I was being cautious because I knew I had a
worked Monster Jam the next morning. So I think Move
might have left before me, or I might have left
before Mode.
Speaker 5 (01:26:33):
I didn't see you.
Speaker 1 (01:26:34):
I said I was gonna behave because I had a
six am flight.
Speaker 6 (01:26:36):

Speaker 1 (01:26:37):

Speaker 6 (01:26:39):

Speaker 19 (01:26:52):

He's like, yeah, I'm about to order it over.
Speaker 3 (01:26:56):
I was like, h pleaves.
Speaker 1 (01:26:57):
Yeah. I didn't say no to shots. I had one shot.
Oh I didn't. I had. I had more than one shot.

Speaker 4 (01:27:09):
I had more than two, Yeah, for sure. Thank you

we had Stacey and Jennifer fighting for his hand among others.
Speaker 4 (01:28:05):
We gave him to Jennifer, I believe, and she's given
me an update. Okay, So we got that, and then
she said.
Speaker 1 (01:28:13):
Hey, where's this one? Crazy cat lady?
Speaker 3 (01:28:16):

Well.
Speaker 4 (01:28:26):
Concert announcement. Yeah, giving away tickets, all that good stuff.
That's all coming up, Tyler, don't go anywhere, no please
Houston's headlines.
Speaker 5 (01:28:35):
Yes, we woke up this morning to the news that
Reverend Jesse Jackson had passed away. The civil rights icon
who twice ran for US president died. According to his family,
they said, our father was a servant leader, not only
to our family, but to the oppressed, the voiceless, and
the overlooked around the world. His official cause of death
was not released, but he was eighty four. Two people
(01:28:56):
were killed three others hurt after a gunman opened fire
during a high school hawk game win Roode Island yesterday afternoon.
Police were called to the scene just before twoint thirty,
where they found the alleged shooter dead inside the arena
from a self inflicted gunshot wound. The other person died
at the hospital. Police now believe the shooting was a
targeted event tied to a family dispute, but the game
between the two high school teams was being live streams,
(01:29:18):
so all of it was captured on video.
Speaker 6 (01:29:20):
It was just horrifying.
Speaker 5 (01:29:22):
I Happy Marty Girl, Happy Fat Tuesday. It's also lunar
New Year aka Chinese New Year Akay, the spring festival.
It starts today, it ends March third. It's the most
important holiday in China and other Asian communities.
Speaker 6 (01:29:36):
This year the Year of the Horse.
Speaker 5 (01:29:38):
I did a quick search of some of the things
we should do to celebrate, and I'm already failing because
number one on the list was a deep clean of
your home.
Speaker 1 (01:29:45):
Oh wow, you know, to start like on a good
I was gone all weekend. I can't be expected to
have a clean house.
Speaker 6 (01:29:50):
You're also supposed to wear bright, colorful clothes. No blackl I'm.
Speaker 1 (01:29:55):
Wearing all black Marty grosl stuff on today. Red Envelopes, No,
it's not my culture.
Speaker 6 (01:30:01):
Oh right, very so.
Speaker 1 (01:30:01):
I wouldn't bring you guys red envelopes. Not something that
I grew up with you.
Speaker 5 (01:30:04):
Well, if anyone wants to bring me a red envelope.
Speaker 1 (01:30:06):
I never heard about it until I moved here. Really, yeah,
I heard. Did you know this like before you moved here? Something?
It sounds like you don't know that you did not
know this Indiana they're giving on red envelopes. Yes, I
never heard of it. I always got a red envelopes,
so you did?
Speaker 5 (01:30:21):
Hey, last week we chatted about it a bit when
we saw the viral video for the very first time
of Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt battling on a rooftop.
Very impressive, but it was a lie. It was an
AI generated clip and it had Hollywood freaking out from
the get go because it looked so freaking real. I
remember talking about it last week and the guy from
(01:30:42):
Deadpool Wolverine was like, I hate it. This is the
end for all of us, like just saying that Hollywood
could not go on if this is how the future
looks well. Bite Dance, the company whose AI made that video,
is being threatened by Disney and other Hollywood studios for
infringing on their IP, and that is developing.
Speaker 6 (01:31:02):
We all saw the video. It was wild. Let's talk
about Tool real fast.
Speaker 5 (01:31:07):
Because the drummer, Danny Carey, says the band has been
in talks with the Sphere in Vegas for a possible
residency next year. In an interview, he said Tool will
be the perfect fit for the venue and that the
residency should come along with their new album. He noted,
of course, as we all know, it's very expensive to
put on a Sphere show, takes a lot of performances,
(01:31:29):
to turn any sort of profit, but they would be.
Speaker 6 (01:31:31):
The guys to do.
Speaker 1 (01:31:32):
So here's what's interesting. Nobody in Metallica has said anything.
Speaker 4 (01:31:36):
To my knowledge, it's just everyone talking about Metallica.
Speaker 1 (01:31:40):
It would make sense, correct.
Speaker 6 (01:31:41):
Those rumors are hard and even I don't.
Speaker 4 (01:31:43):
Know if it's the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce, whoever,
has they got an account They're like, boy, Metallica would
be great. You've got to feel like they would know something.
This is weird because it's coming from a band member
saying is that just him saying, hey, we'd like to
put our name in the hat.
Speaker 5 (01:31:59):
The talks with the sphere, okay, which seems incredible.
Speaker 4 (01:32:03):
It's weird that this is coming from the band. So
again in credible. Getting some rock acts in there, I
mean in Sinc Is great and all, but you.
Speaker 6 (01:32:11):
Know Backstreet Boys, those are Houston's headlines.
Speaker 1 (01:32:14):
Whatever, majority rock and t B Hello out all right,
what you got over in there?
Speaker 7 (01:32:21):

medals to their total yesterday. Alana Myers Taylor took them
gold and the women's solo, Bob said, while fellow American

women's hockey team blew out Sweden five then nothing to
set up a gold medal game against Canada on Thursday.
And Team USA men are going to play either Germany
or Latvia tomorrow in the quarterfinals of the men's tournament.
(01:32:42):
Oveyal tam USA has nineteen total medals, which is third
most beyond Norway.
Speaker 1 (01:32:46):

Speaker 1 (01:39:40):
And of course I did. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:39:42):
I flew past you guys a couple of times. I

Speaker 4 (01:40:21):
Okay, she chugged the beer. She chucked the beer. She
didn't win from what I remember, no one, but she
did good.
Speaker 6 (01:40:28):
How can you be up against Majana? That's not even fair?
Speaker 1 (01:40:30):
My god, she was fun. So you guys hung out
all night? How does the night end? Number sixteen?
Speaker 22 (01:40:40):
Uh?
Speaker 11 (01:40:40):

I think we were there for two hours.
Speaker 7 (01:41:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:41:18):
Did it feel like the conversation was rolling along? Good?
Was it easy to talk? Oh?
Speaker 10 (01:41:24):
Yes, I mean she did. She did get me a
little bit with a country thing, kind of threw me
on the spot. I'm not really good with those.
Speaker 4 (01:41:33):
So wait, what is that? What do you mean you
got thrown on the spot. She's a country western person.
Speaker 10 (01:41:39):
Well, we asked what kind of music we listened to.
She asked me, uh, what's my favorite music genre? And
I basically said a country and she asked me, oh,
what was my favorite old country singer? Being thrown on
the spot, I can't think of anything.
Speaker 1 (01:41:53):
Around georget Fine, dude, I'm a metal guy, Okay, George straight, it's.
Speaker 5 (01:42:03):

be bold here? Tyler? You leave coffee, You're done with
your a little two hour coffee thing. You shake hands,
it's her hugs, a little kiss. How does it end?
It was a hug?
Speaker 6 (01:42:22):
Okay, that's good. That's like a like a brother sister hug.
Speaker 1 (01:42:25):
Uncomfortable you're going in? Did you go in for a kiss?
And then she dodged you? What happened? You knew it
was just gonna be.
Speaker 10 (01:42:33):
Just a regular hug.
Speaker 6 (01:42:34):
Okay?
Speaker 1 (01:42:35):
Now where are we at after? After the coffee date?
Where are we at? That was Sunday? Today's Tuesday? Dude?
What have you done for me lately?
Speaker 10 (01:42:43):

to come out, uh and play like a little poker
night with me and my family.
Speaker 1 (01:42:55):
Wait, wow, she's meeting the family, Tyler Beard, bro.
Speaker 10 (01:42:59):
She actually already met the family that night.
Speaker 1 (01:43:05):

Speaker 6 (01:43:06):
Your family was a mile of meat.
Speaker 1 (01:43:09):

one another? Where are you from? Where's she from?
Speaker 18 (01:43:47):

Speaker 10 (01:43:48):
We're so much close to each other. I live up
in the Woodlands, she's over near Spring Area.
Speaker 1 (01:43:53):

awesome at this, Tyler. This is number sixteen, sweet angel.
Second day and then meeting the family.
Speaker 6 (01:44:01):
I love that his family was there cheering for it.

Speaker 7 (01:44:10):

Speaker 10 (01:44:11):
It's been almost a year.
Speaker 1 (01:44:12):
That's okay, a little over, got right back in there,
got back up on that horse quick aggressive.

I'm lovest we're killing it though, I think so. I mean, okay,
so a couple of people got ghosted. If you didn't
hear earlier today, a couple of people got ghosted. I
want to talk about the couple that you met, that

Speaker 4 (01:45:03):
She's like, listen, just wanted to be here to support
everybody and let people know that this thing can work.
As crazy it is as it is, this thing can work.
I got her email, and I got emails coming from
other couples that were there that night that still want
they can't call in, but they wanted to just give
us a little update.

Speaker 1 (01:46:17):
It's the guy and he's alive. He's alive, he emailed me.
Speaker 6 (01:46:21):
Come on, number five, you have to start being nicer
than Nancy.
Speaker 4 (01:46:24):
Going back to the bus, she was awesome. It was awesome,
and I was nobody believed in me.
Speaker 6 (01:46:29):
Correct, I was.
Speaker 4 (01:46:30):
I was a one man army on Friday when I
said I'm putting the chick driving the creepy white van.
Speaker 1 (01:46:37):
I'm putting her in this thing, and everybody said, don't
do it, don't do it. I'm like, she's in, the
girl in the van is in, and the guy number
five is alive. He sent me an email I'll share with.
Speaker 10 (01:46:49):
You next.
Speaker 1 (01:46:52):
Flix online.
Speaker 5 (01:46:55):
The busy ax.
Speaker 4 (01:46:57):
Maybe he's not alive and it's her sending an email
if I was him. Maybe she's infiltrated his account here,
so I do need to hear from her. But okay,
well we'll find out what's going on with him. Hi, Alex,
what's you doing for your AOL today?
Speaker 7 (01:47:08):
Today's AOL is sent to me by Daniel Sanchez and
he says, I've gotten AOL for you to use today.
I was talking to my daughter about how easy they
have it with new age phones and texting. I was
telling about how we had to text on a keyboard.
Then I found a website that simulates it. We were
going back and Forice to see he could text the fastest.
It's twenty three three three seven seven seven like type
(01:47:30):
out your I thing. So go try and see if
you can make yourself feel like you were cooler, and
they'll show your kids that today.
Speaker 1 (01:47:36):
That's the wednishd Ryan showpaget the Buzz dot Com.
Speaker 7 (01:47:39):

Speaker 4 (01:47:42):
Anybody that was in the mile of Meat, we haven't
heard from you yet. You can give us a call

well we'll hear from number five after this.
Speaker 3 (01:47:50):

our own, The rod Ryan.
Speaker 1 (01:47:56):
Show on US ninety four or five Buzz. Good morning,
rod Ryan's Show. Bad omens and just pretend if you

Sat and Cammy Kehoe also on the bill, So you
got four bands. October tenth, Woodland's Pavilion tickets go on
sale this Friday. I've been notified that every day this
week we will have tickets to that show. So oh,

gonna be you know. I guess you can go out.
Speaker 4 (01:48:43):
You buy your tickets to break Evengjamin, you got two
hours to make money to go buy your team and
Paul tickets two hours later. So a lot of win them.
Last week we had three or four win them before
they went on sale. Right, Yeah, it was insane crazy,
It was insane. Well, I hope you're off to a
great start to your day if you haven't checked out
Chili six.
Speaker 1 (01:49:01):
Picks yet.
Speaker 4 (01:49:04):
Tat Tuesday, not the number one link. Chili six picks
great to behind the scenes stuff from Friday night, and
then the twins were out Saturday out at Monster Jam.
The number one link today is the mile of Meat
link and everybody wants to see the couples. There was
no number eight. There was no number eight. Everybody's asking
(01:49:27):
did Julie miss out at number eight? There was nothing
we had. There is so much going on behind the scenes.
Speaker 1 (01:49:35):
I'm just listen. We're here to do a show.
Speaker 8 (01:49:37):
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (01:49:39):
Let us do, let us do all the work behind
the scenes. Let's make the magic happen.
Speaker 6 (01:49:43):
Just enjoyam.
Speaker 1 (01:49:44):
So there was nineteen.
Speaker 4 (01:49:45):
Couples ready to rock, ready to go for Saturday nights
meetings over at Cactus Cove, number seven before I get
to number five. Okay, number seven, quick update with number seven.
This is Ashley. I had such a fun night on Friday.
I was paired up with Mike number seven. Mike, how
many mics were there?
Speaker 3 (01:50:05):
Five?
Speaker 1 (01:50:06):
Enough with the mics, I'm going up number seven. Wait
a minute. We heard from him, Yes, we heard from
him this morning.
Speaker 6 (01:50:14):
They won the toilet paper game.
Speaker 1 (01:50:16):
They won the toilet paper game. And he was the
guy that sent the email in January saying asking if
I was doing it, Yep, he wanted in. He basically
forced my hand that I had to do the mile
of meat because he asked about it, and I said,
you're in.
Speaker 4 (01:50:28):
Okay, this is his check. Hi, this is Ashley's. Such
a fun night on Friday. I was paired up with
Mike number seven. I was thrown in last minute by
my mom. Yes you were, She didn't tell me until
I got there. I was thrown in a line, put
on stage to meet this guy. I didn't know what
to even expect. Never done something like this. I'm a
single mom.
Speaker 1 (01:50:48):
I'm not really ready to be on the.
Speaker 4 (01:50:50):
Market just yet. But I heard y'all were giving out
concert tickets, so I was determined to win.
Speaker 1 (01:50:56):
Ha ha ha. When I met Mike, I instantly thought
he he is hot.
Speaker 4 (01:51:02):
Lol. He was really awesome and we had a nice vibe.
We were in the first game and we won. After that,
we drank, we talked all night. We did agree at
the end of the night that we can be friends
and plan on seeing him at three days Grace.
Speaker 8 (01:51:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:51:16):
The thing about us giving out tickets because I wouldn't
want to. I don't want to put anybody in a
weird situation when you won tickets, each person got a
pair of tickets. I can't go forcing you to, you know,
go with each other to a concert. I don't know
what's going to happen that night, you know.
Speaker 1 (01:51:32):
So everybody got a pair of tickets, so they plan
on meeting up beforehand. And he kind of said the
same thing. Not a real love connection, but you know,
we hung out. It was good. Where's number five? Uh oh,
all right? Jose Jose.
Speaker 4 (01:51:52):
Subject subjecked number five Van Chick. Has anybody heard from Nancy?
Speaker 18 (01:52:01):
No?
Speaker 4 (01:52:02):
Okay, she might be in the lobby, Okay, So just
the thirty second backstory is this was the girl that
was calling on Friday, and then you guys told me
that she was in a white, nondescript van, and.
Speaker 6 (01:52:16):
She drove around a couple times, around a couple of times.
Speaker 1 (01:52:18):
They're like, oh my god, the chick.
Speaker 3 (01:52:19):
In the van.
Speaker 6 (01:52:21):
It became a funny shop.
Speaker 1 (01:52:22):
And then I'm like, she can't have anybody she wants.
She's in a van.
Speaker 4 (01:52:24):
Boom, this is gonna spice it up a little before me. Okay,
just don't kill anybody. She says she wasn't gonna kill anybody.
I'm like, you're in who do you want?
Speaker 1 (01:52:33):
So she got Jose. They came.
Speaker 4 (01:52:35):
They came out to be number a couple couple, number five.
If you're following along, yes, good morning to you and
the fan.
Speaker 1 (01:52:40):
This is Jose. I'm number five. I want to let
you guys know I'm alive, but bless, but barely. I
don't remember much after she lured me into the van
with tequila shots. You're so liab.
Speaker 4 (01:52:52):
I had a great time that night. I appreciate the opportunity.
Nancy was great. She definitely was the life of the party.
You're not wrong, You're not wrong. What game did they play?
Speaker 6 (01:53:04):
The banana WHI?
Speaker 1 (01:53:06):
Yes, I saved We saved them for the end because
we knew they were going to be fun. They were
so fun. She was a firecracker.
Speaker 4 (01:53:11):
Okay, there were a lot of people that walked up
to her asking, Hey, are you the chick in the van.
Jose goes on to say, things are good between us
so far. We've met up once already. There's I don't
remember a lot of meetups over the weekend.
Speaker 1 (01:53:28):
Unless it's just been so long, because I don't a
lot of times. We come in the next day. Still,
that's within three days you're meeting up a second time.
Pretty good.
Speaker 4 (01:53:37):
Things are good between us so far. We've met up
once already. We planned to meet up again. I would
call in, but I'm working in the noisy environment right now.
Thanks again, and stay rock hard. Jose, could you just
please what is the I don't think I.
Speaker 1 (01:53:51):
Ever got it out of her? What's the van?
Speaker 6 (01:53:53):
It's just like a work car.
Speaker 1 (01:53:54):
Look, it's just what you do.
Speaker 6 (01:53:57):
She emailed? What she emailed?
Speaker 1 (01:54:00):
Oh did she?
Speaker 7 (01:54:01):
Yeah?
Speaker 10 (01:54:02):
I have it?
Speaker 1 (01:54:02):
What you are you gonna share it with us? Are
you gonna share it? Am I?
Speaker 21 (01:54:07):
Please?
Speaker 5 (01:54:07):
Hey guys, Nancy here. I had so much fun.
Speaker 14 (01:54:11):
My date.
Speaker 5 (01:54:11):
Jose was so cool. Yes, I made friends with this family.
They're taking us to see Creed. So we're taking them
to see Motley Crue as soon as we get our tickets. Nancy,
what nice.
Speaker 16 (01:54:24):
In the van?
Speaker 5 (01:54:25):
As Nancy, you guys can all right.
Speaker 1 (01:54:27):
In the van playing a room. I got something to say,
what you suck it? She was hot and he was
a connection.
Speaker 4 (01:54:40):
You should have seen these people in the room with me.
Their faces when I said the chicken the van is in,
They're like, why are you doing?
Speaker 1 (01:54:47):
Old man? Just fine?
Speaker 7 (01:54:48):
You just got to show that, like, no matter how
like weird it may be, dudes will still try it.
Speaker 1 (01:54:54):
Like we're into it, all right.
Speaker 7 (01:54:56):
You know what?
Speaker 1 (01:54:56):
Yeah, she's got a van.
Speaker 5 (01:54:58):
Maybe she.
Speaker 1 (01:55:00):
So fun? Bring what's that?
Speaker 22 (01:55:02):

Speaker 1 (01:55:02):
And then what are all those chains in the back?
Speaker 5 (01:55:05):

on Tuesday, but it's the first time we're getting a
chance to.
Speaker 1 (01:55:49):
Talk to you, and uh, that's what the big difference is.
I think, Alex, we're hearing about all these like, Hey,
we met up for coffee, we met up for you know,
we already met up.
Speaker 4 (01:55:57):
We've been talking all you know, the last couple of
days a lot of times. Most times when we're doing
the Mile of Meat, we're here the next.
Speaker 5 (01:56:05):

you come back on Wednesday and you talk about it
and we're doing all this, so.
Speaker 4 (01:56:10):

Okay, probably be dude, all brother Rod, let me start
off by saying thank you to Molly, the wonderful woman
I got paired up with. It's one thing to drive
by and pick out one of us weirdos from the
side of the road, and another completely different thing to
have the balls to get up and do it on
the spot. Was a filler she filled in from all
the wonderful people that showed up that night. I had
(01:57:04):
a great time with her all night long.
Speaker 1 (01:57:06):
Oh I know, sit tight for this one, bringing me
this talk faster, Rod, sit tight for this Let's see.

her of the car? Okay, hot and heavy?
Speaker 5 (01:57:36):
