Speaker 1 (00:00):
Tony.

Speaker 2 (00:00):
Yesterday, the Bengals released their first depth chart of training camp.
I'm not sure there were any major surprises, but did
you have any takeaways from it now?

Speaker 1 (00:09):
I mean, the first depth chart is so hard to tell.
I guess one of my initial thoughts was looking at
that wide receiver three, because I do think that's a
legitimate conversation. And if you look at how they're listed
on the depth chart, Yoshi is that wide receiver three,
and then you don't see Kobe Young behind Yoshi, you

(00:30):
see him behind t Higgins. I just think that's positional
value and the type of body that they have. So
I think having Kobe at that number three, I think
he's close to that. In all honesty, I think he
can by the end of camp slide himself into that spot.
And the other stuff I look for is just on
the offensive line. Cody Ford, Brian Parker, connorlou Jalen Rivers,

(00:51):
Andrew Koker. I don't think we could sit here today
and say, you know, one of those guys has stood
out amongst the rest at a depth standpoint. On the
offensive line, that remains my biggest question outside of linebacker,
but on the offensive side of the ball, Where is
the depth? You know, we've tossed around the idea of
you know, do you ever get a Marius Mims have

(01:12):
any left tackle snaps in case of emergency, or you
good with a Cody Ford in that setting? So I
look at the depth, I look at wide receiver three,
I look at the offensive line as two of the
things I'm going to be probably paying most attention to.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
Yeah, and I know we're going to talk tomorrow and
Thursday about the game on Thursday night against the Detroit Lions.
But to me, like that's a storyline. Andrey Yoshavas right
now is listed as the third wide receiver. I do
not believe he has a stranglehold on that position. He
is facing challenges. My question is what does he do,
if anything, defend off those challenges in games?

Speaker 1 (01:48):
Yeah, he and on Sunday scrimmage he did have a
touchdown catch fired pretty well. But Kobe had a great
day as well on top of that. So who gives
you more value? Who gives you more position versatility? And
we've talked about this in length already a training camp.
Andre yoshibash is who he is. We know what he's
going to be going forward. Can Kolby at his length

(02:13):
and his athleticism, can he gain more separation in those
matchups with the other teams lesser cover guys, Because if so,
then he does give you, give you a different value
in a different dynamic that they have not had with
andre Yoshibash.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
Bengals will have their final practice before the preseason gets
underway on Thursday. This morning's practice starts at ten o'clock.
We've got it covered for you on the AE during
Window Tony and Mode Training Camp show starting at ten
on ESPN fifteen thirty with Tony Pike, Am Moeger
