night is your flight?

Speaker 2 (01:08):
Okay, it's Monday.

Speaker 1 (01:09):
I know the stress of packing, no matter where you're going,
no matter how excited you are freaked out about you're
always freaked out about having everything. Always buy it.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
That's what thank you do?

Speaker 1 (01:18):
You say that.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
I try and remind myself of that we can always
buy it, and then it's like super special because you
bring it back right. It's like there's that, but there's
also like I always want the house just so before
we leave, and there's the holidays, so I still like
got to get some cards and gifts out before I go,
And I just would I hope that everybody loves German

(01:40):
Christmas gifts, because I think that's what we're looking for.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
We're getting German Christmas gifts. When she gets.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
Crackers for your tign's chocolate, yeah, you know, because that's
the idea. We want to see the Christmas markets and

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Back so real quick Monday. You fly to Cologne, right, No,
you're flying to.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
Yes, we fly in to Munich. We connect to Cologne.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
Forty eight hours in Cologne.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
Yeah, so the Christmas market there looks so beautiful.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
And then you're flying back to Munich for a few sure, and.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
Then Munich where I reunite with family members I haven't
seen in like twenty years.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
We're going to be following you the Christine Nagy. If
you're on Instagram, follow the Christine Nagy. You'll be documenting everything.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
Well, thank you, Paul Kubby Brian, you don't have to
plug me every time I know you plug me, I
plug you right way it goes.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
Hey now Paul Kubby Bryant on Instagram and producer Kristen
don't forget about her. She's producer Kristen on Instagram. We
do Facebook, but we're mainly Instagram.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
You and I tend to do a lot of Instagram.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
Facebook is really active too. Try and keep that busy
as well.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
One more thing before we go to break, we want
to meet you tomorrow at Woman Rink. It's skating in
Central Park. You'll be there with me tomorrow morning ten am.
And then Rick Rich Kaminski comes in. Delilah will be there,
Helen Litla will be there.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
But it's a day of skating, yes, and it's free
for the first one thousand people who show up. That's
a lot of people, right, so you know you should
be covered, you should be good. So come with the family.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
And if you think to yourself, well, I don't skate,
I'm not gonna go, Well I learned last year. They
have these little balance bars that you can actually hold
on to, so you can put skates on and you
hold on to this bar and it skates with you.
So you hold on and you go with it and
you won't fall. Naomi was doing that last year. She
loved it because she doesn't skate. So it's kind of
cool for the kids. Or if you're me exactly, we'll

(03:27):
see you tomorrow. Woman Rink, Central Park.

Speaker 3 (03:30):
More Covey and Christine and the great music variety you
expect next on light at them.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
I need to tell you two.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
Things, Cob and Christine's two pretty cool things. That little
sound effect played about four minutes ago by mistake, so
I had to make sure and we're back, and we're back, Yes, Covey, Christine,
producer Kristin Hey here's my cool thing. To celebrate the
thirty fifth anniversary of Home Alone, Prince Street Pizza is
teaming up with Disney Plus for a nationwide take over

(04:00):
that brings the film's iconic Little Neros pizzeria into the
real world, but for only one week. Christine and Kristin.
From December tenth through the seventeenth, Prince Street Pizza locations
across America will transform into the Disney Plus Little Nero's
Prince Street Pizza pop up. Oh fun, try saying that
three times yeah, complete with new packaging, nostalgic decor, and

(04:22):
that lovely cheese Pizza, a temporary rename of the restaurant's
classic cheese pie inspired by Kevin mccallister's order. Prince Street
Pizza is right here in the city. The address is
twenty seven Prince Street, Downtown. Pretty cool. Well, yes, and
it makes sense why it's only a week? Yeah it
does this time it's Home Alone.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
Bah blah blah.

Speaker 1 (04:40):
All right, what do you have, Christine?

Speaker 2 (04:41):
I think Paris Baguette is always a cool thing. I
love that place, and we're gonna give something away, unwrap
the holiday season with Paris Baguette. Kubby. We're gonna have
color ten right, yeah, color eleven, color eleven because Cobby
feels like it, turn it up to eleven. Yeah, I
don't know, we're crazy. Uh. You will win a one

(05:03):
hundred dollars gift card for all of your handmade crafted
holiday cake needs. That's a Paris Bagat gift card for you.
Eight hundred two two two one of sixty seven.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
Caller eleven, good.

Speaker 3 (05:12):
Luck, More Covey and Christine and the great music variety
you expect next on Light at Them one.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
Of sixty seven Light Couvey, Christine, Producer, Kristen and Baby.
It's cold outside. It is twenty degrees here in midtown Manhattan,
a lot of teens in the suburbs, and a high
today of only thirty two degrees. And if we had
snow on the ground, apparently some people can smell it.
I think so, Yeah, I don't know what you're talking about.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
Yeah, No, it's a it's a thing.

Speaker 1 (05:39):
Give us a text by the way, four four three
sixty three. There's a story where there's a thing that
people can smell snow, snow.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
I mean, like if you are a fan of Gilmore Girls,
Yeah exactly. That was mentioned in the snow in the
in the in the snow in the show. You know
what I'm saying, that's snow was in the show mainly
on the plate.

Speaker 1 (06:02):
I'm gonna give you props when you're talking about snow
and seeing the word show in the same snow paragraph,
I would do this.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
It's a whole new word. So Lurle first says, I
smell snow, and now there is some science behind it. Covey,
A lot of us say, we smell I don't know
if we smell snow, we smell winter. But what it is,
I feel like you can smell it when snow is
coming on. You can smell when it's about to rain
that has.

Speaker 1 (06:27):
But in the summertime, I can smell that, Yes, especially
when it's hot. You kind of like you do, yeah,
that humidity smell.

Speaker 2 (06:33):
But scientists are saying, and you can weigh in four
four three six three, what do you think can we
smell snow that there's a thing to it? They said,
cold weather actually cleans things up, So it's like it's
good for us in a sense. Right, The humidity drops
and so does the air pressure. There's less pollution and
it feels crisp. The air feels crisp, and it's actually

(06:55):
pushing down the sense a little bit. And there is sense.
They said, there's like a whole sense of winter because
we smell the evergreens where people are spraying the stuff around.

Speaker 1 (07:06):
But there are hanging from the review.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
Yeah, exactly, it's it's cleaner. Basically, winter air smells good
because it's cleaner, fresher, and full of seasonal scents that
we love times, sparks, nostalgia.

Speaker 1 (07:20):
Cold air, sinks. You know right now the air we're
feeling is from the Arctic. Oh yeah, and it's like
never been touched fash air coming from the.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
North Pole, some pine.

Speaker 1 (07:30):
But I don't smell it. I don't smell snow.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
Well, we're sorry. We're getting text messages four four, three
six three tell me nine seven Three says yes, I
can smell snow five one six My mom and I
can definitely smell snow in the air. Nine one seven.
I've been smelling snow since I was three years old,
and I'm rarely wrong.

Speaker 1 (07:50):
What does it smell like?

Speaker 2 (07:52):
Like like snow, like.

Speaker 1 (07:53):
Clean white snow just smells like snow.

Speaker 2 (07:56):
No, how like I said, rain has a scent the snow,
all right, well, two two, three nine. It can absolutely
smell snow. You can also smell rain. Oh, there's a
word for it, petrekore. It's caused by bacteria and dirt
reacting with the water. That's the rain.

Speaker 1 (08:10):
We're getting all these text messages about this. We're getting
a ton I didn't know we had a hot button.

Speaker 2 (08:15):
Here we again four four, three, sixty three, and there's
a bunch And so far, Kubby, not a single person
has said that they can't smell snow.

Speaker 1 (08:24):
Well again, we have no snow on the ground. But
tomorrow will be at Woolman Rink skating in Central Park
and I will sniff the ice and you can take
a picture of it. I look from my nose and
just scrape the eye.

Speaker 2 (08:33):
You don't wanted to get stuck there, like Ralphie? Yeah,
was it Ralphie?

Speaker 1 (08:38):
No, it was his friend.

Speaker 2 (08:39):
It was his friend who was stuck.

Speaker 1 (08:42):
Yeah, all right, Back to the music. More sounds of
the season.

Speaker 3 (08:45):
Next, more Cubby and Christine and the great music variety
you expect next on light at that all right.

Speaker 1 (08:51):
If you don't like this next topic, you can blame
it on Josh Hadden. One of six twenty seven light
FM it's Kubby and Christine. Our chief engineer, Josh Hadden,
was just in the studio trying to fix Christen's mic. Yeah,
and we have so many great topics.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
There's so much going on, So.

Speaker 1 (09:05):
Right, Josh, which one do you want to hear? And
you threw three at him. Yes, and he picked this particular.

Speaker 2 (09:10):
Topic, the Faberge egg. Are we ready for this?

Speaker 1 (09:14):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (09:14):
So this has been in the news because police caught
a thief in New Zealand alleged. I think this points
to guilty who swallowed a Faberge egg lockett. Now you
know how expensive those are, right, They can be priceless.

Speaker 1 (09:31):
Are we talking millions or hundreds of thousands? I'll look
at you, right.

Speaker 2 (09:34):
So this was stolen from a jewelry store. It's smaller
because it's a locket, but yeah, one's just soldid auction.
It can go for tons of money.

Speaker 1 (09:41):
Do you spell it? How much?

Speaker 2 (09:42):
I'm piping in fab e r g E. That's a
Faberge egg.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
Oh, there we go.

Speaker 2 (09:49):
Okay. This lockett had sixty diamonds, fifteen blue sapphires, and
an eighteen carrot gold octopus. He swallowed it thought he
could get away with it. Lee found him, brought him
to jail and said, okay, now give us the egg.
So what does that mean? They had to wait? It

(10:10):
is now six days later. Wait, nothing's happened, and police
have reported that they have recovered the egg.

Speaker 1 (10:18):
With a strainer underneath the tush. I don't know how
do they do that?

Speaker 2 (10:23):
Six days later? It means that that that egg was
in there a little while. I assume your system doesn't
know what to do with it, your digestive system.

Speaker 1 (10:32):
You're not kidding, by the way, I'm looking one up
here on the internet. One of them is like thirty
three million. One of them was, Yeah, that was the
most expensive one ever.

Speaker 2 (10:38):
It's not worth that much anymore.

Speaker 1 (10:39):
No, no, no, it's gone, it's gone down.

Speaker 2 (10:43):
This was a Lockett Covey so it's a Faberge egg
Locket so is smaller. They think it's worth about nineteen
thousand dollars.

Speaker 1 (10:51):
But do you think it would have been worth more
if it hadn't gone through this?

Speaker 2 (10:54):
Or is it? Or is it worth more now? Famous?

Speaker 1 (10:59):
It's hard doing this to worry because it's interesting. Yes,
but I don't want to say certain jokes.

Speaker 2 (11:04):
Yeah I have.

Speaker 1 (11:05):
I do want you to know I have things in
my head that I'm.

Speaker 2 (11:07):
Sure you do. Okay, so again, sixty diamonds, fifteen blue sapphires,
and an eighteen character old octopus all came out, all
came out intact.

Speaker 1 (11:17):
I wonder, is a guy done? Is he like leaving
jail now?

Speaker 2 (11:20):
Oh? No, we know he's done, but I don't know
how he feels.

Speaker 1 (11:24):
He's probably got to do time.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
I guess, oh, I'm I'm yeah. I think there's a
I don't think you could say you were falsely accused
if you like literally think, yeah, here's the evidence. How
else would that have happened? It did pass naturally through
his digestive system. In case you're wondering, they you.

Speaker 1 (11:40):
Know, they gave him like merrill axe or something.

Speaker 2 (11:43):
Six days though six days if they gave him something, yeah,
well to help it a lot.

Speaker 1 (11:48):
You had to go through a few movements before probably
got to that because you're thinking he has to do
something in six days.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
He probably did, but it took He probably did with that.
Like I said, your body is like what do I
do with this? And eventually it says, let's get rid
of it. I imagine maybe it was a little painful on
the way out. I don't know.

Speaker 1 (12:05):
Hey, he deserves it. He stole that much money, you know.
Come on anyway at a New Zealand there you go.

Speaker 3 (12:11):
More Covey and Christine in the great music variety you
expect next on Light FM.

Speaker 1 (12:16):
Seven o'clock Friday morning, one of six point seven Light
FM and what you need to know now with Christine.

Speaker 2 (12:21):
Good morning, Good morning, Covey, thank you. So we got
the twenty twenty six World Cup draw which will be
held today at the Kennedy Center in Washington, d C.
The President is going to be attending. It's the tournament's
draw sets the group stage of competition for the forty
eight countries that are set to participate. Supreme Court is
allowing Texas to use a new congressional map designed to

(12:41):
favor Republicans in next year's midterm election. Six conservative justices
on the Court ruled that Texas could proceed with the
new map. And here in New Jersey, we do have
officials warning there is a Code blue alert in six counties,
especially in the north, and that's because of there. We'll
call it extreme weather.

Speaker 1 (13:01):
Yeah, a lot of single digits out there. It's cold here,
missam Manhattan, it's twenty degrees both right, they got like
five and six and seven it's six seven.

Speaker 2 (13:09):
Yes exactly, it's dangerous, so please be careful. And a
community fundraiser that is just so important. This is happening
in Bayville, New Jersey tomorrow. If you can turn out
and support this community outreach. It's cookies for a cause.
So at the corner of Butler and Bayview Avenue starting
at ten am, family is raising money. There's hot coco,

(13:33):
there's treats for sale to benefit the Bolter family. This
is because their son, Nolan, who's now just five years old,
has a very rare disease, a neurological disease, and needs
this life changing treatment. Like needs it, the sooner the
better kc NQ two Nolan Butler's kc NQ two. It

(13:55):
would be life changing treatment for him, and it's crucial Nolan.

Speaker 1 (13:58):
We are thanking everybody. Yeah, come on, let's do this
for Nolan.

Speaker 2 (14:02):
Yes, so absolutely so again. That is tomorrow morning, ten am.
It's in Bayville. It's the corner of Butler and Bayview Avenue.

Speaker 1 (14:08):
Let's support him and the family for sure.

Speaker 2 (14:10):
And if you look up the family Nolan Bolter b
O U l t Er. You'll find more information about
him and where you can donate and help this cause.

Speaker 1 (14:20):
And if you missed this whole thing and you want
to write it down, you can text us and we'll
text you back at four four three six three.

Speaker 2 (14:25):
Definitely thank you. In sports basketball, the Nets lost to
the Jazz one twenty three one. Ten hockey, Islanders beat
the Avalanche sixty three, Rangers defeated the Senators for two,
Lions beat the Cowboys forty four to thirty, and we
are closing in on the holidays. They are actually talking
about last minute gifting already. We're there, so chances are
if your person hasn't shopped for you yet, congratulations, you're

(14:49):
getting a gift card. Yay.

Speaker 1 (14:51):
Yeah, I don't mind those.

Speaker 2 (14:52):
By the little I don't mind at all. People are
saying they're concerned that shipping would take too long. So
by this point, sixty three percent of us who haven't
bought gifts yet are planning on picking up a lot
of gift cards.

Speaker 1 (15:04):
But we know what we're getting from you, though, Christine.

Speaker 2 (15:06):
Could you think from Germany?

Speaker 1 (15:08):
You're going to Germany next week? Yeah, and you're gonna
hook us up. See, I'm asking for a gift.

Speaker 2 (15:13):
Okay, you want a stein, you want a nutcracker?

Speaker 1 (15:16):
Oh you're still surprise me. I want something from Germany.

Speaker 3 (15:20):
More Covey and Christine and a great music variety you expect.
Next on Light at.

Speaker 1 (15:24):
Them appropriate Christine that you found this story this week
after what we went through a couple of days ago
with me pronouncing pen and pen. So one of six
point seven light could be Christine.

Speaker 2 (15:34):
Producer Kristen Kubbe just said pen and pen, by the way, right,
the same word.

Speaker 1 (15:39):
Before we get into some of the most mispronounced words
of the year. Yes, like two days ago we had
a big debate about how you say pen. Well, you
all say it right, and I say, so, the thing
you're write with is a pen. There's a pen. And
the thing that you put on your shirt is a
is a pen.

Speaker 2 (15:57):
It is not see I say it the same way
putting a ballpoint pin in your pocket and this is
talking about a pin.

Speaker 1 (16:04):
So it's a pin. So there is a slight difference.

Speaker 2 (16:08):
Yeah, there's different words and pronunciations. There's a difference.

Speaker 1 (16:11):
So what I'm trying to say is we already know
what I can't we pronounce. We went through that so
what are like everyday people, they can't say this.

Speaker 2 (16:20):
The top three words this year that we have mispronounced.
Number one is a name, and it's Zorn, Mom, Donnie.

Speaker 1 (16:29):
You know, I have to admit when he was like,
you know, running early on and like God, if this
guy wins, I don't have to get to know this name.

Speaker 2 (16:36):
We have to say this, yes, and now we have to.
I've been saying it in the news. Remember from the
get go I was. I told you, I'm like, I
have to. I have to learn how to say this
name properly. Zo Ron, Mum, Donnie. I think I'm saying
it right.

Speaker 1 (16:48):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (16:48):
The thing with these things of the most mispronounced words
is I feel like we're setting ourselves up here because
if we don't get them right, that's what's we're about
adding to the list. Coming in second is Thailand all
a seed of menifin.

Speaker 1 (17:02):
Oh, that was when the president could yes, he.

Speaker 2 (17:05):
Had a hard time, a hard time, and that is
a hard word.

Speaker 4 (17:08):
It is.

Speaker 1 (17:12):
Menifin. Yeah, you almost have to think of other words
like I seed medicine.

Speaker 2 (17:18):
Oh you did seed that. I have different words together.

Speaker 1 (17:24):
One more time. I see the men of fan, I
see the man with fins the fishing you see him?
I see?

Speaker 2 (17:33):
Is that what you see men fishing?

Speaker 1 (17:35):
I see men fishing?

Speaker 2 (17:36):
Okay, whatever it takes Covey to get you there. And third,
and I think I don't do this one justice the
louver because you know the jewels being stolen. It's that's easy,
though it's not because I'm not quite saying it right.
It's actually like.

Speaker 1 (17:51):
Louver oh, like you have an r e almost as
the louver, but no one ever says the river apart they.

Speaker 2 (17:58):
Which yeah, one of somebody from the museum was saying,
if you would just try and give it a little,
the French would respect it please.

Speaker 1 (18:06):
Interesting, Like so I.

Speaker 2 (18:07):
Always just say louve because it's easier and because I
know I'm probably overdoing the world if I do it.
But Louverra, louverra, louverra alright, emphasis on the loof.

Speaker 1 (18:17):
All right, So your top three mispronounced word one more time,
just to make you do it again.

Speaker 2 (18:22):
Thanks Covey, Mom, Donnie, are marrilect zorron Ronny?

Speaker 1 (18:27):
And I see you the mine a fin.

Speaker 2 (18:31):
A seed of minifin correct? And what's the museum in
Paris that got robbed? Louver rave Louver Lover.

Speaker 3 (18:41):
Now you know more Covey and Christine and the great
music variety you expect next on light at them?

Speaker 1 (18:47):
Can you pretty good trivia?

Speaker 2 (18:49):
That's a question.

Speaker 4 (18:50):
Don't you stop testing yourself.

Speaker 1 (18:51):
You get slow?

Speaker 3 (18:52):
Answer my question or you'll be signing before the man.

Speaker 1 (18:55):
All right, one O six point seven, New York's Christmas Station,
Covey and Christine and the morning and time now for
a Cubby in Christine trivia battle.

Speaker 2 (19:02):
That's right, for the twelve days of Christmas. It's quite
a prize.

Speaker 1 (19:05):
Somebody's gonna win a lot of prizes. And representing Team
Cubby today, it's Hillary from West Hempstead. Good morning to you, Hillary,
Good morning, all right, do you know your stuff? I
need you to represent a win for Team Cubby today,
Yes I do. I'm ready, all right? Who is Hillary
playing against?

Speaker 2 (19:23):
Pam from Denville? Good morning, Pam, Hi, good morning, good morning.
Are you sound great? What are you up to right now?

Speaker 1 (19:29):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (19:30):
You know, getting the boys ready for school and getting
ready for work today? Okay, Friday, Happy Friday. Yeah, it's
a busy time.

Speaker 1 (19:36):
And thank you for making the time to make a call.
And you got through. And let's let's see who wins.
All right, Team Cubby, Hillary, Here we go. Question number
one for you? How many points is a touchdown worth
in football? Is it a three B six or seven?
Six six?

Speaker 2 (19:53):
Hillary jumping in, she knew that one.

Speaker 1 (19:54):
Yeah, it's seven with the extra point after the touchdown.
So it's kind of a trick question if you don't
