Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, project What in the world is Project twenty
twenty nine, Aaron Evans joins those president of winning Republican strategies.
These are the same people who criticized the Heritage Foundation
and the Trump administration for supposedly signing on to their
own project, which of course the President denied he ever
really signed on to. How does this compare to that?
Speaker 2 (00:21):
Absolutely? I mean, you know, look, and first of all,
never allow hypocrisy to slow down the Democrat Party. I mean,
get that straight. But it's you know, it's wild, and
you know, and I think, you know, ultimately, I hope
they put this in a book like they're saying they're
going to do. And because if you really lay out
everything that the Democrat Party stands for, you know, they
(00:44):
normally avoid policy because they know their policies don't sell,
and that's why they have to run on fear and emotion.
And but you know, if they actually put all the
policies in a book, I think they're going to help
us win for another ten years. Because if you actually
put in a book book that you know we're going
to you know, uh, uh defend defend terrorists and uh
(01:07):
support anti Semitism and uh you know, defend keeping illegal
immigrants in the country and giving them your tax dollars
and open borders and uh, you know, you keep keep
filling the list. You know, when you really look at
the actual policies that the Democrats are running on, if
they were truly honest enough to put them on paper,
(01:29):
you know, like it would it would pretty much steal
the deal of people. I mean, it's it's historic numbers
people jumping ship right now from the Democrat Party. Uh.
And we see that even in California, frankly, where you know,
more people are switching from Democrat to Republican than a
Republican a Democrat, even in California. So you know, I
hope they put it on paper.
Speaker 1 (01:48):
Jake Sullivan from the Fumbinden administration has a lot to
do with this. I get the feeling or the impression
that what he's going to attempt to do with this
is to try to drag the party a little bit
more towards the middle. So if that's the case, that
does turn out to be the case, if he tries
to make this Project twenty twenty nine appear to be
more mainstream Democrat than what's currently happening with the progressive
(02:11):
wing of the party. Then you've got the party, the
part of the party that seems to be in control
right now, that progressive wing, that they're not going to
sign on to this, are they?
Speaker 2 (02:20):
No? Absolutely not. I mean I think that. I mean,
you've got a major fight within the Democrat Party right
now on you know, where they actually think the reason
they lost was because Kamalo was too moderate, which is wild,
you know, And but they I mean, I think you're
going to see a massive part of what we're talking about,
(02:41):
the AOC wing of the party who just won the
you know, just won the New York mayor's primary, you know,
with a with a radical you know, hates America, you know, socialist,
you know, just just all the way across the board.
But I mean that's the side of the Democrat Party
(03:02):
that is rising right now. And so you know, I
think that And look, I mean, you know, as electorally,
you know that that side scares me to death, and
they should scare all of us. And but you know,
the majority of Americans I think are smart enough to
reject that extremism, I would hope. But but ultimately, you know,
(03:26):
as far as what's good for America, we need, we
need the old Democrat Party back. I mean, you know,
at the the Democrat Party is not what it was
twenty years ago or even ten years ago, and it
has gotten so radical and so crazy and and so
you know, look, I commend anyone's efforts in trying to
move it back to the middle, but I think they've
(03:47):
got a heck of a job ahead of them, and
I don't I don't think they're going to see much
success with today's current party.
Speaker 1 (03:52):
No it any good to work. I don't think so either, Aeron,
Thank you. Aaron Evans, President of Winning Republican Strategies, six
