It's all your news, music, sports podcasts, and talk free never Sound
it's so good. Yeah, Well, put Republicans Democrats together, that doesn't
always work out so well because it'salways led by the Democrats. Steve Dolt
joins US Texas State representative. Doyou think we're seeing at the federal level

(00:22):
what we've already seen in the TexasState legislature? Steve? Absolutely, it's
been so discouraging. Jimmy, Imean, we have these hard fought victories
and in November, and what endsup happening is we just as soon as
we get washed in or as soonas we get to Austin, Republicans just
capitulate well. And and the thingthat's really kind of scary is, you

(00:45):
know, I guess, I guesswe can safely say, right, we
basically have two factions of the RepublicanParty. You're in Texas, we we
have the Bush crowd and then wehave Conservatives. And the Bush crowd is
out there. For example, you'vegot a former governor of Rick who's out
there supporting Dade Feelin, showing upat all of his campaign stops trying to
get people to vote for him toget him back in. It's so discouraging

(01:07):
to see, you know, Iguess he wants to be to be the
king maker again. I guess he'slooking for relevance. I don't know what
the heck he's doing, but yes, that's exactly what's going on right now.
And he's killing us. I mean, we had a really good border
bill, Jimmy HB twenty, andDemocrats didn't like it. The governor liked

(01:29):
it, the Lieutenant governor liked it, the Senate liked it, but the
Democrats didn't like it, and soDade, feeling capitulated and killed the bill
on us. Do you think he'sgoing to end up getting re elected?
Do you think he wins the rofor do you think he loses the runoff.
I think he loses the runoff.I think he's well. I know
the polling shows he's behind by ninepoints right now, and typically in a

(01:49):
situation like that, the excitement isjust not going to be there for his
people to turn out. And I'vebeen spending a lot of time don in
Beaumont helping David Covey and Pran Heartthat Tuesday night. Uh, we get
Covey over the line and defeed feelingokay. Now at the federal level,
we've got Speaker Johnson who seems tobe doing pretty similar things as far as
cooperating with Democrats. He didn't hestruck us all as being a conservative going

(02:14):
into that position, but it doesn'tseem like he's voting that way now.
It's it's really been strange, butwe only have a you know, one
seat majority in in at the federallevel. I think the bigger problem at
the federal level is just the massivenumber of Republicans that want to capitulate that
don't that they're really not Republicans. These guys, these these are I mean,

(02:38):
they're rhinos, Republicans in name onlythat that that are killing us at
the federal level. Well, thething though, is about Democrats is I
guess there's a few of what Iwould call the old school Democrats, and
I guess that's what rhinos are now, right, they're the old school Democrats.
And then you've got the radical Democrats. The radical wing of the Democrat

(02:59):
Party would seems to be growing byleaps and bounds. Yeah, you know,
it's it's funny you know, butyou've described it exactly the way I
do today. They're the LBJ,the Great Society. Democrats are Republicans,
these are the Rhinos today. Butthe progressive, the the Acasio Cortes,

(03:19):
these people are these they're communists, they're socialists. They they admit it.
It's it's not you know, theydon't take that as a smear if you
call them socialists. They're socialists, they're they're progressive socialists. They've given up
on on the whole idea of capitalism. They've given up on law and order.

(03:42):
They've given up on the family, the nuclear family. Yeah, they're
terrible. Yeah, well, they'vegiven up on all traditional American values because
they know that's what stands in theway of things like socialism and communism.
Steve Toath always a pleasures there.Thank you, Texas State Representative Steve Toath,
