Our top story this hour.
Speaker 6 (01:34):
The Big Beautiful Bill is a giant step closer to
the finish line after a tough Senate votes.
Speaker 7 (01:39):
It took more than twenty four hours of voting and negotiating,
and ultimately for Vice President JD. Vance to step in
and cast the tie breaking vote after three Republicans in
the Senate broke ranks and voted against the Big Beautiful Bill.
There was another major holdout who ultimately helped get this
bill across the finish line, and that would be Senator
(02:01):
Lisa Murkowski. The Senate leadership promised her changes to the
food stamps program for her state, Alaska specifically, and added
money for rural hospitals, and that's what won her over.
Speaker 6 (02:13):
Ultimately, that was Fox's Grady Tremble on Capitol Hill. President
Trump called the Senate passage music to his ears down.
The big beautiful bill returns to the House or Speaker
Mike Johnson says, if the bill passes, there'll be more
to come.
Speaker 8 (02:28):
To do one in the fall for the FY twenty
six budget year, and then we can also squeeze in
a third one for f y twenty seven before this
Congress is up. At the same time, we're going to
be passing recisions packages from the White House to save
more money and spending lesson appropriations.
Speaker 6 (02:44):
White House Counsel of Economic Affairs Stephen Moran has a
warning should it fail to pass. The bill stops earlier
tax cunts from being eliminated while cutting taxes even more
for the working in middle class. So anyone voting against
the bill would bring some disaster.
Speaker 9 (03:00):
Because what you were doing is voting for the biggest
tax tyke in history that will increase taxes by four
trillion dollars in Americans and plunge the economy into recession.
Speaker 6 (03:10):
He says, if we can expect changes, maybe even big ones,
when the bill emerges from Congress as soon as later today.
The year's New York City mayor's race exposes another media
double standards legacy.
Speaker 10 (03:24):
Media reports on radical socialist Zoron Mamdani failed to call
him extreme, even though that label has been used against conservatives.
Tim Graham with Newsbuster says this shows the media's warped
political view.
Speaker 11 (03:36):
You get a very stilted image if you were trying
to figure out American politics, if you listen to what
they call the mainstream media, you're going to think America
has been deviled by a far right and there's nobody
on the left whatsoever.
Speaker 10 (03:50):
In fact, in the first five months of this year,
PBS used the term far right forty two times more
than far left. Coreyolson News Radio seven to forty tear reach.

Speaker 12 (04:11):
What's coming up on the horizon. The Democrats that are
on the bench are even further left, even more woke,
even more radical.

a lot.
Speaker 6 (05:40):
As TREPAA spokesman Robertson Clair, he says that today is
projected to be the busiest day on the roads. Tomorrow
will be the busiest day at the airports. Natural gas
becoming the preferred method of power for data centers is
the cost of renewables outweighs the benefits. Bill Putton of
the American Thinker says it's the cheaper to use natural
gas and keep things more stable in terms of capacity.
Speaker 18 (06:04):
Based on the amount of solar, wind and natural gas
they have in the generation they get out of it.
This combination gives you thirty one percent, twenty percent, and
thirty percent, respectively for wind solaring gas in combination.
Speaker 6 (06:22):
He says, natural gas alone gives a sixty percent capacity factor.
The American restaurant industry never got over the disastrous effects
of the pandemic. That's why restaurants are adding extra charges

Not okay by the eight is our time?
Speaker 3 (07:49):
We'll get to the big beautiful bill here and talk
quite a bit about it this morning on the show,
including by the way, a visit coming up with one
of our surely great representatives in the House of Representatives.
Because now it's got to go back to the House.
We'll talk to Troy Nails this morning's towards the end
of the show, though, just to give your heads up
(08:10):
if you want to make sure you're tune in for
that and checking out.
Speaker 5 (08:12):
It's going to be at about m.
Speaker 3 (08:14):
Let's say, seven point fifty two this morning, all right,
nine year old girl.
Speaker 5 (08:22):
Has died.
Speaker 3 (08:23):
She was left in a hot car by her mother
here in Houston, who was doing a work shift near
Galena Park. The windows were partially rolled down. She was
left with water, but when her mother went to check
(08:44):
on her, or maybe it was the end of her
shift or shift started at six in the morning and
evidently didn't check on her until sometime in the afternoon,
maybe at the end of her shift, she found her unresponsive.
She ended up at LBJ, the child did, and the
child was pronounced dead unresponsive. They couldn't get back. Presumably
she died from the heat. It did get up to
(09:06):
about ninety seven degrees. And before anybody thinks I'm going
to blame the victim here, this is not the intention
of the question. I'm not blaming a nine year old
girl for her death being left in a hot car.
My question is she's nine, why didn't she just get
out of the car? Which and it may seem like
(09:31):
a silly question, but to me it's fairly important. I mean,
is are we talking about a special needs child here, possibly,
in which case you have to wonder about leaving any
child with special needs in that type of a situation
if they are not capable of making a decision for themselves.
I would like to think that your average nine year
(09:52):
old child would detect that something was wrong and that
she wasn't doing well and would get out of the
car and seeks sort of help. You would like to
think that would happen, But that did not happen in
this case. Every year we have this, and I don't
care how many warning labels you want to make. I
don't care how many public service announcements you want to
(10:12):
make about don't leave your dog, don't leave your child,
don't leave your baby in a hot car. It happens,
People do it. And we've even gotten to the point
now where we've got the manufacturers of these vehicles who
have these have these warning systems. You buy a newer vehicle,
and it will prompt you to check the backseat of
your car, because it assumes that you might have forgotten
(10:35):
that you have a baby back there or something. But
no matter what we do, we just seem unable to
prevent these kinds of things from happening. But again, I
would like to know why this nine year old was
in the car all day to begin with. Then, second
of all, why she didn't get out five eleven time
for traffic and weather together. This guy Mike checks in
good morning.
Speaker 4 (10:55):
Hey dude, we've got North Freeway southbound nineteen sixty still
to you right now.
Speaker 5 (11:00):
Lane block here. The backup is not that big.
Speaker 4 (11:03):
I would still rather take the Hardy Tail road and
get around that anyway at the Hardy's. The Hardy's in
your route on the southbound side east text, you're looking
nice this morning, Porter down twenty nine minutes. And if
you're coming up the Southwest Freeway sugar Land nineteen minutes
up from the fountains up into the canyon northbound, they're
showing a closure on your North Freeway inside the loop
(11:23):
that's not there.
Speaker 5 (11:25):
Some of your some of.
Speaker 4 (11:26):
Your online sources are showing that tip bline. Let's hear

Speaker 3 (11:34):
From a r KTRH top tax depender's twenty four hour
weather center, Terry is here.
Speaker 5 (11:39):
Yep. The weather's hot. Yeah, to be careful.
Speaker 3 (11:42):
Look what you leave in the car and where you
leave the car, and you know all those other things,
because guess what, it's summertime here in Houston, and it
doesn't take long for a car to heat up, doesn't.
Speaker 21 (11:50):
No, it doesn't.
Speaker 22 (11:52):
Oh, it's miserable if you uh step into a car
where the windows have been closed the whole time, and
even if they're cracked, the temperature inside will soar. It's
kind of like a little solarium on four wheels. So
we don't have much in the way of rain through
our weekend. We certainly have got plenty of sunshine and
(12:13):
plenty of heat. Today it's going to be a dry day.
Temperatures will range from the load to upper nineties, and
our heat indecks that's what it feels like. If you're
outside where the air is circulatingperature, the heat and disease
will be over one hundred. They're not in the danger range,
but this is the time of year that you just
want to try to avoid prolonged exposure if you can.
(12:37):
Tomorrow we have a twenty percent chance of a shower thunderstorm,
and Friday and Saturday's dry Sunday that slight chance of
a thunderstorm. Our temperatures are going to stay in the
load to upper nineties and mainly mid to upper nineties
for most of our listeners. Those low nineties are closer
to the.

It's Houston's Morning News, brought to you by New South
Windows Solutions. Now back to Jimmy Barrett and the Houston
Morning News team all the info you need to take
on the day.
Speaker 3 (13:11):
So clearly, this morning, our big story is the big
beautiful bill passing the Senate narrowly. I mean it took
the Vice president's vote to take it over the top,
but it did pass. It is about eighty five percent
the same as the House version, but that other fifteen percent.
(13:31):
How different is it? We'll hear from House Speaker Mike
Johnson about the big beautiful bill, and we'll highlight some
of the things I think are different. You know, I
really don't know, because they were negotiating right down to
the last second. And the latest story I've seen on
exactly what was in the Senate version versus the House
version is the better part of a day old, so
(13:52):
he could have changed, I do know. Again, coming up
at seven fifty two this morning, we'll talk with our
United States representative about one of them, Troy Nails, about
the differences between the end version and the House version,
and see what he thinks about the chances of getting
this reconciled in time for the fourth of July, first
of a five plenty time for traffic and weather. Togethers
(14:13):
we check it again. A skuy Mike, Hey, you know, it's.
Speaker 4 (14:15):
Just important, just as important that you know what's not
there as you know what's there. Let's start with what's there.
North Freeway nineteen sixty. This wreck kind of tough looking
one two right lanes here, right shoulder that's on the
southbound about a two minute scunch coming down from Cyprus. Wood,
you could stay the course. I see the Hov's getting
by nicely. I don't like Hov's, but if you want,
(14:37):
this is America.
Speaker 5 (14:38):
Also, what's not there?
Speaker 4 (14:39):
Nord Freeway onlines are showing some of your online sources
are showing a complete closure from Cross Timbers downtown that's
not there. In fact, I checked that out myself. But
it's not there at all, and so we're good to
go here. Round town, You've got Katie Freeway. That's a
stall guestner that's on the outbound side.
Speaker 5 (14:57):
They moved him over. Just watch out. I think the
ninjas will check a right line.
Speaker 4 (15:01):
We'll check your ship channel bridges at five point thirty
in the USA Rvresorts dot Com traffic Center.
Speaker 3 (15:06):
From our KTRH Top tax Defenders twenty four hour weather center,

mostly Claude's guys, with the high temperature right about ninety three,
current temperature seventy eight at your officials Severe Weather Station

(15:26):
of our top stories on a Wednesday morning and for
Cliff today here's Eric.
Speaker 6 (15:29):
Good morning. It is five twenty two on news radio
seven forty KTRH. Elon musk at it again blasting the
Big Beautiful Bill and those who voted for it. A
nine year old girl died after being left in a
hot car yesterday in the Galena Park area. Houston police
say the child's mother left her with water in her
cracked window while she worked. The mom now in custody.

Speaker 5 (16:01):
We see what's happening here? When it happens here? What
is happening here?
Speaker 2 (16:05):
It happens here? On Youth Radio seven KTRH.
Speaker 3 (16:12):
All right, we've got that big beautiful bill that has
been passed by the Senate. Now it goes back to
the House. That's how it works. They have to reconcile
the differences in the bill because the Senate version is
is about well, it's it's similar to, but not exactly
the same as the House version. They didn't pass the
House version so it has to be reconciled in the House,
(16:34):
and then if the House reconciles it, it goes to
President Trump for his signature, presumably by the fourth of July,
although who knows what the vote count is right now
in the House based on the changes the Senate made. Anyway,
yesterday last night, in fact, House Speaker Mike Johnson had
this to say about it.
Speaker 8 (16:56):
Of this bill is the House generated product. The Senate
made some modifications to it. They made it more conservative
in some places and moderated it a little bit in others.
But I tell you what, as the President said so well, today,
this is no longer just a House bill.
Speaker 5 (17:09):
It's not a Senate bill.
Speaker 8 (17:10):
It's the bill of the people, of the hard working
American people, and we are going to deliver it, as
you said, Sean, by July fourth.
Speaker 5 (17:16):
It is so critically important.
Speaker 8 (17:18):
Remember, we got a clear mandate from the people in
November to do this. President Trump ran on a clear
set of priorities and promises, and we did as well,
and this is the vehicle to deliver it. We're almost
there at that finish line. I'm confident we can. We're
at the one yard line in this game that's been
played over a year. Really, we worked on this for
about fourteen months to get us to this point. We're
(17:39):
going to run it right up the middle and score
for the American people. And I tell you what everybody
is going to benefit from this bill, Sean, has you
noted all those features. It's the most conservative piece of
legislation we've ever worked on. You need to mention at
the same time that even though while we're having historic
tax cuts, we also have historic savings. We're going to
save one point six trillion dollars for the American people.
(18:01):
We're going to cut down the size and scope of government,
make it more efficient, make it work better for the people.
They demand to deserve that, and the Republicans are delivering.
Speaker 5 (18:10):
So this is a vehicle.
Speaker 8 (18:11):
Let's also remember that this is just a step in
a sequence of events. We are intending to do more
reconciliation work. You can do a reconciliation budget for each
fiscal year. So the plan is to do one in
the fall for the FY twenty six budget year, and
then we can also squeeze in a third one for
FY twenty seven before this Congress is up. At the
same time, we're going to be passing recisions packages from
(18:34):
the White House to save more money and spending less
in appropriations. We will get the government back to fiscal sanity,
and we are the party to do it.
Speaker 5 (18:41):
We will.
Speaker 3 (18:41):
We will take the ball, we will run it up
the middle. We will score for the American people. And
a little football analogy going there for a while, all right, So,
as far as differences go, tag, let's talk about tax
cuts briefly here at least the last report I saw. Again,
some of this could have changed on the final version
they got voted on. The Senate version would allow Americans
(19:01):
to deduct as much as twelve thousand, five hundred dollars
for overtime pay and up to twenty five thousand dollars
in tip income through the year twenty twenty eight, so
that does not make that a permanent removal. It also
doesn't remove all taxes on tips or all taxes on overtime.
The child tax credit would go from two thousand to
(19:24):
twenty two hundred per child, not much of a difference there.
The House version would have raised it to twenty five
hundred dollars temporarily before lowering it back to two thousand
and adjusting it for inflation. This is what they do.
You know, they talk about permanent tax cuts. There's very
few things that anything is done by our lawmakers that's permanent,
(19:44):
that can't be undone in a matter of just a
few years. But you know that's what sausage making is
all about in Washington, DC. We'll have more as we
continue here this morning. Some of the some of the differences.
All right, five twenty six, it's time to take a
look at your money. Denise pellogreenis here, Camoroni.
Speaker 21 (20:00):
Yeah, good morning to use.

Good Morning, five point thirty two on news Radio seven
forty KTRH. Our top story this hour, President Trump joining
Florida Governor Rod DeSantis and Homeland Security Secretary Christy Nome
in touting a newly opened migrant detention center in the
Everglades dubbed Alligator Alcatraz.
Speaker 5 (22:45):
President any like what he saw very soon.
Speaker 25 (22:49):
This facility will house some of the most menacing migrants,
some of the most vicious people on the planet. We're
surrounded by miles of treacherous.
Speaker 26 (22:57):
Swampland, and the only way out.
Speaker 25 (22:59):
Is really deportation, and a lot of these people of
self deporting.

Vorters our Tom Homan, touting new border numbers the total
encounters for the month of June six thousand and seventy
That's less than a single day of encounters under the
Biden administration. President Trump also pushing for fast approval of
his sweeping tax and spending bill before a Friday deadline.
Speaker 21 (23:25):
Stay united, have fun, and vote yay.
Speaker 27 (23:28):
That's President Trump's message to House Republicans ahead of a
critical vote to give final approval to his tax and
spending cuts bill.
Speaker 26 (23:35):
It's a great bill. There is something for everyone.
Speaker 27 (23:38):
Still, the measure must survive scrutiny from fiscal conservatives and
moderates after changes to medicaid funding in Green energy investments
made by Senate Republicans this week and Elon Musk, who
helped launch the Department of Government efficiency is threatening primary
challenges for any Republican supporting the bill at the White House.
Jared Halburn Fox News as for.
Speaker 6 (23:59):
That House vote today, while some Republicans are upset with
the Senate changes, House majority of Leader Stieve's Lease, telling
Fox News at the key elements of the Trump agenda remain.
Speaker 28 (24:10):
All of those things are still in the bill to
get the economy move and to help families who are struggling,
and so members I think ultimately want to get that

Speaker 5 (24:19):
We're looking at bringing that bill in the morning.
Speaker 6 (24:21):
Republicans can't lose more than a couple of votes who
passed the bill. The Texas Legislature officially heading for a
special session to make up for all the work that
didn't get done this year. Lawmakers are asking for the
governor to put HB thirty two to twenty five on
the official agenda.
Speaker 29 (24:36):
The bill aims to keep adult material out of the
children's section at public libraries.
Speaker 30 (24:40):
We took it out of our school libraries. This basically
says that we observed the rights of parents to decide
what they want their children to see in public libraries
and public spaces.
Speaker 29 (24:48):
State Representative Steve Toath says this would have been done

Federal judges, they're not listening to the Supreme Court. The
Supreme Court made it pretty clear you're not you are
not to rule a nationwide issues. But we had two
yesterday right after the Supreme Court said that both federal judges.
One federal judge shutting down the Trump administration's efforts to
(28:47):
end temporary protection status for over five hundred and twenty
thousand Haitian immigrants currently living in the US. He's a
US district judge by the name of Brian Cogan in Brooklyn. Gee,
you think he has a D next his name. Well,
he was appointed by Obama, So yeah, there you go.
The judge. District judge rejected those plans yesterday, saying Department
(29:10):
of Homeland Security Secretary Christinome does not follow a timeline
and instructions mandated by Congress to reconsider TPS designation for Haitians.
So there's that one. And then we have another judge,
federal judge, this one is in Rhode Island, another one
with a D next to her name, that has blocked
(29:30):
the Department of Health and Human Services from implementing layoffs
in overhauling some of its sub agencies. According to the judge,
there was quote no rational basis for the Trump administration's
reorganization plans. I find no rational basis for this and

here in Houston's Warning News. Three Pennsylvania officials, all Democrats,
use fake names, fake ballads, and even had some friends
and family registered vote and they still lost the election.
(35:35):
And I guess worse yet for them, they got caught.
Joining us to talk about it is Beth Brellia, writer
at The Federalist. I guess let's start with this, Beth.
How did they get caught?
Speaker 32 (35:48):
Well, the Department of Justice, the FBI investigated. I'm not
I'm not sure who turned them in or or how
that played out, but we know that they all identity
they did have some friends cheap for them, and they
also had some STOLENI identities, Like one of the gentlemen
(36:08):
had a business and he took the names of some
of his customers. What they did is they took people
from out of town and electronically registered to vote, and
you know, and so they did everything online and through
the mail, which is one of the election integrity problems.
(36:28):
The election integrity advocates want everything done in person with
a photo ID, so this kind of thing can't happen.
So they but they stole identities and changed their addresses
to their town and then requested mail in ballots and
fraudulently voted and dropped them off at the county. Wow,
(36:49):
so simple that they broke so many rules. There's so
many rules that need to be fixed.
Speaker 3 (36:56):
Well, in the case is always made by Democrats. We
don't need voter ride, we don't need to change the rules,
we don't need to have any of this because cheating
doesn't happen. Well, here's the proof. But they're going to say, well,
this is a rare currence and we're only talking about
a local election. They'll make all kinds of excuses. But
at the end of the day, you have to be
able to identify yourself who you are before you GISs
(37:17):
your ballad, don't you.
Speaker 32 (37:19):
It's really very simple and we did it for many years.
In person voting, it was the rare exception. You had
to have a reason for voting absentee unless you were overseas,
which is a whole other can of worms to open
at some point. You know, a couple interesting things about
this case. This is a town of thirteen hundred people,
(37:42):
So people think in their little hometown, oh, just you
know that happens in the big city. That doesn't happen
here thirteen hundred people. The guy lost by thirty votes,
you know, even with cheating. So if one hundred percent
of the people in town voted, you know, it's just
a handful of people. It doesn't take much to move
(38:05):
an election.
Speaker 3 (38:06):
Absolutely, but by yeah, I was going to say, but
by the same token. On a national level, it's very
easy to move around millions of votes without being detected
because of the huge number of people who are voting.
Speaker 32 (38:18):
Yeah, And the problems in this little burrow of thirteen
hundred people in Pennsylvania, same problems across the country.
Speaker 13 (38:27):
Vote.
Speaker 32 (38:27):
We need voter ID, we need voting in person, we
need same day voting. When you register to vote, you
should show your ID there right, and then when you vote,
you should show your ID. These are not hard things.
If you can't be if people died for this country,
and if you can't be bothered to get an identification,
(38:49):
you may not be intelligent enough to vote in the
election anyway.
Speaker 3 (38:53):
For now, unfortunately, there's no intelligence clause. If there were,
we would have revoked that a long time ago.
Speaker 32 (39:00):
It's so true. I want to tell you one of
the important thing about his case. One of the guys
that's going to prison, pled guilty, convicted, going to jail
still in office. Two of at the time when they
pled guilty, two were in office. One finally decided to
step down. But the what an ego right like this,
(39:23):
this borough council job in this little town is so
important that even you're going to put one of them
to go to prison for three years, one for two years,
one for one year. That's that's a lot of prison time.
Speaker 5 (39:38):
For thirty votes, right it is.
Speaker 3 (39:42):
I doubt if anybody learned the lesson from this though. Unfortunately, Beth,

Speaker 7 (41:46):
It took more than twenty four hours of voting and negotiating,
and ultimately for Vice President jd Vance to step in
and cast the tie breaking vote after three Republicans in
the Senate broke ranks and voted against the Big Beautiful Bill.
There was another major holdout who ultimately helped get this
bill across the finish line, and that would be Senator
(42:07):
Lisa Murkowski. The Senate leadership promised her changes to the
food stamps program for her state, Alaska specifically, and added
money for rural hospitals, and that's what won her over.
Speaker 5 (42:19):
Ultimately.

Speaker 3 (47:43):
He's a professor of civil engineering, so maybe you know
he knows a little something on the topic. He thinks
we should ban left turns at most intersections around the country.
He says they're a lot more dangerous than most people realize.
He says about forty percent of all crashes happen at
intersections in over sixty percent of those crashes involve somebody
(48:06):
making a left turn. Half of them involve a serious injury.
One in five involves a fatality. So he says banning
left turns at busy intersections would save a lot of lives.
Another reason to do it is they make according to him, anyway,
they make intersections less efficient. Green arrows make left turns safer,
but everybody else at the intersection has to wait, so
(48:28):
just a few cars can make a left turn. Well, listen,
we could discuss this and you can weigh in on
this fact to make a great question of today. Let's
do that at the iHeartRadio app KTRH. Make us number
one on your preset, you hit the talkback button, you
get up to thirty seconds. First name where you're calling from.
Should we ban left turns at least at busy intersections,
(48:50):
But let's think about the ramifications of doing that. First
of all, the assumption is it's the act of making
a left turn that's dangerous, when the reality is if
you are making a left turn when the arrow is
green and somebody hits you, that means that they had
a red light. So, if I follow his logic, red
(49:12):
lights are more dangerous than left turns. Therefore we should
ban red lights. I mean, we already banned running red lights,
but people do it anyway. Because they get frustrated making,
you know, waiting to make their turns. I don't know
what you think on the topic. I'd love to hear
what you think they banning left turns. Does that make
(49:32):
sense to you? Six' ten time for traffic and weather?
Together what about use, Guy, mike do you want band left?
Turns you know, What i'm more concerned about clustering on the.
Freeway i'd like to see that, again you, know all my.
Soapbox but if they would enforce the left lane and
avoid the, clustering and if we could just get other
people out of other, stations, listeners out of the habit
of driving beside each.
Speaker 4 (49:54):
Other i'm you, know we're not The Blue. ANGELS i
don't need a wingman. Either go faster than, me are
slowered the back to the hell? Up and you know they.
Speaker 3 (50:02):

dried so you get out of the left.

Speaker 1 (01:06:29):
Something there on news RADIO. Seven ktrh, you know.
Speaker 3 (01:06:35):
Give me to think it's it's, maybe pretty but. Not
beautiful the big beautiful bill may. BE pretty i mentioned earlier.
This morning i'll repeat it because it was pretty early.
This morning, the differences at least the LAST differences, i
heard there could have been some last second negotiations right
before the vote that they changed some. Of this we'll
(01:06:55):
be Talking To, Troy Nails Congressman troy nail's coming up
at about seven point fifty two, this morning and we'll
try to figure out the differences Between the senate bill
And the house version of. The bill it's going back
To the house now for reconciliation where they but According
To House Speaker, mike johnson about eighty five percent of
the bill is the same As the, house bill but
(01:07:17):
it's the other fifteen percent that you got to. Worry
about it's about a nine hundred and forty. Page bill
they changed some things about. The Taxes the senate version
would only allow you to deduct as much as, twelve
thousand five hundred dollars for overtime pay and up to
twenty five thousand dollars in, tip income and it's only
good through twenty, twenty eight so it's not a. Permanent
(01:07:39):
change it's only good for. Three, years basically reductions would
drop for those making one hundred and fifty thousand or more,
per year so that's not quite the no taxes on
wages and tips That the president. Talked About the president
also talked about no Taxes On, social security And the
senate version has a four thousand, dollars deduction a, tax
(01:08:02):
break actually a six thousand dollars deduction, for seniors again
only through twenty, twenty eight but it doesn't Remove The
social security that the taxes you pay on the income
you Get From social security gives you, a deduction but
it doesn't. Remove it so there's a lot of things
about the bill that are not quite What the, president
wanted or certainly not quite what he was selling. To
(01:08:25):
Us the center version of the bill would RAISE the
us debt sealing by up to five. Trillion dollars that's
twenty percent higher Than the house's proposal of four. TRILLION
dollars i think that's going to be a real problem For,
the house especially for people Like. Chip roy there are
some cuts to food. Stamp spending the set of bill
requires able bodied adults to continue working up to the
(01:08:46):
age of, sixty four with a few exemptions carved out
for parents with children under the age. Of, fourteen however
states would be limited in how they can waive, the
requirements so there'd be a work requirement attached to. Food
stamps and here's a big one that is going to
have to be. Worked Out the house version of the
salt deduction that stayed in local tax deduction was ten.
(01:09:07):
Thousand Dollars the senate version is forty. Thousand dollars, and
again The chip roys of this world have a real
problem with. That reconciliation it's not gonna be easy on
this six forty time for traffic and, weather together we're
checking out the. Drive again what, you Got, Skuy, mike.

they did seem to take. No for an answer ladavidioc
joins us. As a political strategist is this just a
sign And how weak the democrat Bench? Is here in texas.
Speaker 12 (01:33:22):
It's not just a sign of how, Weak, the bench
is jay but it's a sign of how completely the
voters Have rejected what the.
Speaker 13 (01:33:31):
Democrats have to offer they just they're not. Buying, What they're.
Speaker 3 (01:33:35):
Selling okay so these guys are running because they have
the cajones To run. And other democrats don't is that, What,
you're telling me.
Speaker 12 (01:33:45):
Well what we've seen Over time is that democrats have
pushed forward policies and ideas and implemented government actions that
have really alienated not only their supporters who have largely
started to Move Over, to the republican party But mainstream
voters in texas are Starting to look At democrat policies and, democrat.
Speaker 26 (01:34:07):
Ideas and saying that's just.
Speaker 12 (01:34:09):
Too far from, me it's too, radical it's too extreme.
It's too far left and what's happened is because those
policies lead to. Candidates jumping into races the candidates who
have been getting into these races are Not the normal
mainstream democrats who embrace policies and ideas that maybe have a.
Progressive kind of bent the candidates that have been, starting
(01:34:31):
to get involved or candidates who are. Really far core
leftists and So what's happened is democrats have had to
turn to retreads and three time losers to try to
encourage people to support their, policies and their candidates because the,
ones who are younger the ones who, are on the
bench the ones who formed the base and the core
Of The radical left democrat party are so far out
(01:34:54):
of step with the mainstream texts and voter there's no
way that they can.

Win, across the.
Speaker 5 (01:34:58):
State well that's a.
Speaker 3 (01:35:00):
Great point to MAKE and here's, what i also wonder
because the only people live that are really Upfront and
center for democrats Right Now are the BERNIE sanders and
the aoc and this guy who's Running For mayor in,
new york who's a, if not. A socialist a communist
perhaps shows you just how far left. The party has
gone when, these are your spokespeople then it kind of
(01:35:22):
makes Everybody think that every.
Speaker 5 (01:35:24):
Democrat, is, that way yeah well what we've seen is And.
Speaker 12 (01:35:28):
You mentioned The Democrat Candidate in new york city, is
an avowed socialist, but like you said he's a flat out.
Communist at this point but even here In Some, place
like harris county we Have, A Leftist, county judge lena
hidalgo who's done such.
Speaker 13 (01:35:42):
A bad job that she's. Now being pushed out who.
Speaker 16 (01:35:44):
Do they have?
Speaker 12 (01:35:45):
Through a place her can they replace her with Somebody Young?
In the democrat party know they have to. Bring in
a retread they have to Bring In, former mayor denise
parker who's going to, face Who you know a republican
candidate who is much more likely to appeal to A
Broader swath. Of harris County Voters, somebody like Warren howell Somebody,
(01:36:07):
like eliza fan dot somebody who Can Appeal to mainstream
harris county voters and doesn't scare them away.
Speaker 13 (01:36:14):
With radical leftist policies.
Speaker 3 (01:36:16):
Well as all as, you brought that up well what
do you think of Trying to encourage ed? Emma to
run again that's a. Name that everybody remembers that's somebody's
Got along With both democrats and republicans and did a
hell Of A. Job running harris county is that more?
Speaker 12 (01:36:28):
Of A guaranteed win ed emmett had Did A fantastic,
jobs harris county judge but he's has said repeatedly he's
not interested in the picking. Up the job again and
It's Definitely time for harris county. Voters to move forward
they don't want to move Back to a failed democrat
mayor who subpoenaed Sermons From. Pastors in harris county it's time.
Speaker 13 (01:36:52):

Speaker 12 (01:36:53):
Coming dante lena hidalgo it's time. To reject the retreads
it's time to Reject the radical leb That's What voters

At supermanent that's in there but the taxes on tips

an elimination of. The taxes, as HE promised that's.
Speaker 48 (01:53:39):
Right and i think it's a good call, to try
to you know whether it's, a local, waitress or whoever
you know.
Speaker 35 (01:53:44):
Try to help her out.
Speaker 48 (01:53:46):
Let's not tax the tips but you got to find
a way. To PAY for those things, AND i think
this administration i. THINK the boss is great i, think, the,
administration is saying hey listen these these teriffs are going to,
bring in tens of billions hundreds of billions of dollars
into our treasury with. All THESE terrorists and stuff so
i think you're trying to find a way to pay.
For ALL of these things but i do believe it's
(01:54:07):
the right thing to do to try to have no
tax On. Tips and even social security we need to
give our Seniors. A, break on social security.
Speaker 3 (01:54:14):
Well THAT was the other thing, i was going to
mention is there is a evidently there's an, increased tax
deduction for seniors but there is there's not an elimination
Of The taxing.
Speaker 5 (01:54:25):
Of your social.
Speaker 48 (01:54:25):
Security, benefits that, is, correct initially we thought hey could.
WE get that in there i think it was talked
a little bit about there in the CAMPAIGN but, You're
talking a cbo score you're talking one. Hundreds of billions
of dollars you have to find a way. To pay
for those things you have to find.
Speaker 24 (01:54:41):
A way to.
Speaker 48 (01:54:42):
Pay for the tax cuts and this bill That's coming
back from the senate is like. Nine hundred and forty
pages one hundred of the nine forty, is. On my
Other committee judiciary i'm. A transportation and infrastructure judiciary so
we included a bunch of fees for visas and anybody
that wants to apply for, something coming through. Southern border
there's a fee But the parliamentarian on the senate side
(01:55:04):
said that violated what.
Speaker 35 (01:55:05):
They call this bird rule.
Speaker 15 (01:55:07):
Thus it Was stripped out so.
Speaker 12 (01:55:10):
The senate kind of.
Speaker 48 (01:55:11):
A strange bird over there, to be honest With.
Speaker 3 (01:55:13):
You We're talking to congressman joy nails here ON. NEWS
radio seven forty ktrh A couple, of the things i
noticed and maybe you can comment.
Speaker 5 (01:55:20):
ON these briefly for me.
Speaker 3 (01:55:21):
I noticed that a lot of these deductions that were
put into the bill. Expire in twenty twenty eight WHY
an expiration.
Speaker 48 (01:55:28):
Date that i don't understand and we tried, to make
it quicker too LIKE on whether it's. Just snap, benefits,
and stuff they say well it's not going to take effect.
Until like, twenty twenty nine they.
Speaker 21 (01:55:38):
Said why do we?
Speaker 48 (01:55:39):
Have to wait so, long, some will tell you well
it takes an enormous amount of coordination to try to
implement what YOU. Want to do with snap it's, going to.
Speaker 5 (01:55:49):
Take eighteen.
Speaker 48 (01:55:50):
Months two years it shouldn't it should almost be immediately.
After we pass the legislation so and why.
Speaker 12 (01:55:57):
Do some of them?
Speaker 48 (01:55:58):
END in twenty twenty eight i guess you have to
cut Deals over THERE in the senate because i think we're.
A little bit more, Conservative believe it or not we've
got some. Real conservative members over here But.
Speaker 5 (01:56:07):
You look at the.
Speaker 48 (01:56:08):
SENATE the real fiscal hawks. I didn't see them cave
i SAW them. Cave is What I saw WHETHER it's
mike lee, And I respect Them All ron johnson And,
rick scott out of florida but those aren't the three guys.
That voted against this Legislation, Coming back to the house.
Speaker 3 (01:56:24):
I'm also thinking maybe one of the biggest Problems will
be what the senate did. To raising the debt selling
their version of the bill raises it to five trillion
dollars Twenty percent. Higher than the house's Proposal i'm not
thinking chip roy is.
Speaker 5 (01:56:36):
Going, to go for that well it's Not only whether
it's chip roy.
Speaker 48 (01:56:40):
There OR others as well so i personally believe you
can send this bill over here and try to Jam
us up. Against the July fourth? Holiday Now why july
fourth the president wants To sign? A, BILL on july
fourth listen i respect The. Hell out of the president,
if he wants it. Done let's get it done but
this doesn't give us a whole lot of time. TO
send the bill back i believe we should make adjustments
(01:57:01):
and send This bill back to the senate for, them
to vote on it And Then. Go TO the white
house because i think there's whether it's chip, roying some of,
the others the hard liners it May not.
Speaker 15 (01:57:10):
Get through the house today and so? What do we?
Speaker 48 (01:57:12):
Do then do we wait, Do we continue to, wait
let's make some adjustments Send it back to the.
Speaker 3 (01:57:17):
Senate and, Pass, the bill All right congressman thank. YOU
