Texas House takes up school choice today, Trump and Mega

A new poll from liberal NBC News finds the number
of Americans identifying with the Mega Movement has grown by
more than ten points since the election. Former Texas GOP
chair Steve Munister he says Trump has steadily expanded his
support since arriving is a candidate ten years ago.

important reason for that is people see he's a rare

You can expect Democrats to throw everything they have against it.

Democrats have really made this They're one issue that they
have really wanted to fight against. If you look at
what's happened in the Texas House over the last five
or six years, Democrats have strongly opposed school choice legislation.

Randon Waltons with Texas Scorecard says this could go well
into the night. Democrats could even stage a walkout to
prevent a vote today.

County Democrats couldn't get any more radical, well, they approved
the Climate Justice Plan that mimics the Green New Deal.

It focuses big on left wing priorities like greenhouse gas
taxes and DEI.

They're looking for new ways to spend money when they're
not paying care of the basics. My suggestion to the
Democrats on Commission score why don't we go back to
the basics.

Gary Polland with the Texas Conservative Review says it's now
up to the state to stop this plan.

Attorney General Fron file lawsuits to stop this stuff. The
legislature can pass laws to clarify why it can't be done.
But a lot of the stuff they do is already against.

The law, he says, out of control actions like this,
or why the legislature has put so much focus on

Yeah, we all complained, right from time to time. Yeah,
we all bitch about stuff. It's it's it's okay, I
think in most cases as long as you're not obnoxious
about it. And I don't know if this guy was
obnoxious about it or not. Five seven. By the way,
here in Houston's Morning News, we're going to put a
photograph of the actual receipt from an Indiana pizza place,

a restaurant in Indiana where a customer says he was
charged a five dollars fee for bitching. He says that
the reason why he was bitching was because they brought
the wrong beer. So he complained about them bringing the
wrong beer and asked them to bring the right beer.
Then he got Then he got the receipt, and on

(07:57):
the receipt it's itemized. By the way, I'd like to
know where this restaurant is. The total buil It was
three beers and an eight inch personal pizza for twenty
two dollars, which you know, this day and age, I
can't remember the last time I bought anything in a
restaurant and got away with twenty two bucks. That's pretty good.

But and that was with the five dollar bitching fee.
You take the five dollar fee off, he spent less
than twenty bucks. I think I would put up with
that five dollar fee if I could get to pizza
and three beers that cheaply. Customer claims the fee was
apparently because they informed him that they were served the
wrong beer. There aren't any more details, so it's unclear
exactly how it went down. He may have been a
little bit more nasty about it than he claims to be.

Something does seem a little offier, though, doesn't it. It's
not evidently a restaurant that messes with you. It's not
like one of those insult restaurants. And there are places
like that where they intentionally mess with you. So it's
not like that. So it's a legit place. But I
mean it's itemized on the bill. I mean, if you

look at the receipt, I mean it's actually on there.
It actually says bitching fee five dollars. So is this
something they've keyed into their system to handle complaints? When
somebody complains about something, they just charge them a five
dollar fee And do what happens if you take the
receipt up to the cash register or give it to
the waitress and you complained about it again, do they
charge you another five dollar fee for complaining about the

receipt having a bitching fee on it? Five ten time
for traffic and weather together. Like I said ktih dot com,
we're gonna put a photograph of the actual receipt up there,
so they say, for yourself, that's great a pitching fee.
Don't go off on servers. Come on, let me don't.

Charge a bitching feed if you bring the wrong beer.

Yeah, don't go off with people in stores and leave

somebody was going across the road.

So this Texas track meat stabbing that occurred in Frisco
has made national news at this point. I don't know
if it's made national news, but there's a lot of
people who are outraged that this this kid who stabbed
another kid in the heart at Firstco Centennial High School

attract meat. They're claiming, by the way, the defense is
claiming self defense in this particular case, he feared for
his life. Well, that'll all be settled at a trial.
But it's gotten national attention, probably because it's a black
kids stabbing a white kid, to be honest about it.
So and that the outrage that people seem to have,
that the fact that this kid had his bond reduced

from one million dollars to two hundred and fifty thousand
dollars and he's out on an ankle bracelet under parental supervision.
