Speaker 1 (00:00):
Well, President Obama, he's supported a few people, but nobody
said boo when he did it. Victor Vila joins his
former DHS special agent, What do you make of all this,
this latest protesting at this Newark Ice facility, Victor.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
It's it's totally unreal to me and just unbelievable that
the obstruction, that's what I call it, the obstruction that
President Trump is facing and ICE agents when you know
they've been doing this job for a long long time.
I worked under the Obama administration, the Bush administration, and

(00:35):
I remember the deportations, and so the couple of things
that are very different. One, obviously you said it, nobody cared, nobody,
and it didn't matter the numbers of deportation, nobody was
counting them one at a time. But also a big
difference is that the the deportation do process that you
hear was very different back then under the Obama years

(00:58):
versus what it is today. And I'm talking about the
bureaucracy and protections, additional protections that the illegal alien now
gets and has to go through in order to get deported,
and so that also creates stalling. It also creates a
lot of backlog and you know, keeping these people in

(01:20):
detention facilities longer and all that has to go through
the process. You remember the guy, the dad from Maryland, right,
It was a piece of paper basically that we were
talking about here that wasn't completed, and that's why they
call it. Technically he wasn't supposed to be deported, but
it didn't really matter. He was a terrorist m AS
thirteen gang member, and of course the ones in New Jersey.

(01:43):
I try to remind people the people that were inside
the facility being detained were all caught, detected and caught
because they were illegally present in the country and they
are actually going through that due process that the Left
talks about and then eventually they'll get sent to their
home country. They're opposing that as well, so I'm not they're.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
Dying on the wrong hill here, exactly victory. And many
of them, by the way, have already had their day
in court or skipped their day in court, and there's
an order for them to be deported. It's not like
we're rounding up families off the streets, you know, where
these are people who have been ordered deported. They've already
been ordered to leave the country, and so we're just
facilitating the court order.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
That's a great point. We're talking about almost a million
people that are walking around just in that type of status,
and they ignored the court order. They went through their
due process, someone went through it twice, and they're still
walking around because a judge released them into the city
or back to the streets thinking that they were going

(02:51):
to self deport themselves or remove themselves from the country
after they received the order, and of course they didn't leave.
They're still here. So now we have to go out
there and get a lot of these illegals are in
the jails in Harris County, in Austin, in Dallas, for Worth,
all over the country, not just county jails, but state
prisons as well. This is where ICE has been asking

(03:14):
them to give them access to these individuals so we
can remove them from there as well, so they could
finish their sentences deported in their country. You heard about
an attack on the state prison where some these guards
were seriously injured by MS thirteen gang members, And I'm thinking,
you know, why are the MS thirteen gang members serving

(03:35):
and terrorists serving the prison sentence here? They could go
back to a Salvador and serve it there, and so
there's a lot of issues still to be ironed out
under DHS and ICE.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
Amen, all right, Victor, always good to talk to you,
Thank you for your time. That's former DHS Special Agent
Victor of Vila.
