Speaker 1 (00:03):
It's that time. Lock and load.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
The Michael Berry Show is.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
On the air. I don't know... Dave Weigel, well, I

(00:36):
had dinner with him, there were six of us, and
we were introduced in 2016. And they were very interested
in why I was a Cruz guy instead of a
Trump guy, but it was put together as a social evening.
And Dave Weigel was a big deal in media at

(00:58):
the time. He was with the Washington Post, he was
doing TV hits, He is a left-leaning but unadmitted Democrat,
and the political class read him. I was uncertain about
spending time with him because what'll happen is that I'll
get friendly, and when I get friendly with people, I jab.

(01:22):
I say what would be considered inappropriate things if they
were posted, and I'm not talking about the N-word. I'm
talking about I kid with people. I fuss at people.
I joke with people that's my nature and you got
to be careful because someone like that will lure you
in andrew krasinski and i got to be pretty good
friends but i was very careful at all times that

(01:43):
you can't say anything that he's the cnn investigative reporter
that you wouldn't want repeated and i say all that
to say this dave weigel is is very left-leaning um
He is everything you would hate about what a Washington
Post reporter is. He's not there anymore. He was a
columnist at the time. And he was being interviewed yesterday.

(02:06):
And understand who I'm talking about saying this. This would
be like Hillary Clinton saying this. They said, what do
you think of the midterm convention? And he said, well,
it's not the belly flop the Democrats were hoping for.
Whatever comes out of this convention, if it's covered, if

(02:28):
it's watched, if it's talked about, it's either going to
give Republicans a bump, which is why you do it,
or it's going to be the example, if the Democrats
have it, of Republicans are out of gas, they have
no ideas, they're crazy. This is why the state convention
of the Democrats earlier this year was not televised, was

(02:49):
because in order to accommodate their whack job base, the
people who believe we're standing on stolen land, the BLM,
the transgender, the transition to kids, the God is binary,
the rainbow flag God is Jesus was homo. I mean,
there's all this coalition that they have to pull together

(03:10):
under one big tent, they love to say, the socialists,
the communists. They don't want the normies out in the
suburbs because your wife, if she saw that, wouldn't be
worried about Paxton anymore. She'd be worried about them freaks.
And so they kept that tamp down. So for Trump
to push for a very public midterm convention, that's riverboat
gambler stuff, right? You better get it right. You better

(03:34):
get it right. And Dave Weigel said, this is not
the belly flop the Democrats were. That's as big an
endorsement you're going to get from Dave Weigel as is possible.
That's saying the Republicans are hitting a home run. The
best description of the upcoming election, stop worrying about Ken
Paxton and everything nasty. This is a guy in Tallarico

(03:58):
who is such a freak, would do so much damage
to everything you hold dear, including your own child, that
that's the focal point. And this was Brandon Gill, young
congressman at the convention last night. I think he laid
it out in such perfect terms that this is the
clip of the night.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
This election is very clear. It's the mainstream versus the extreme.
Because there's another political movement in our country right now
that doesn't believe that America is or ever was great.

(04:40):
They sometimes call themselves socialists. Some even call themselves communists.
But most of them simply go by Democrats. They're the
ones who will tell you that your love for America
is nothing but bigotry, that our heritage is rooted in

(05:00):
white supremacy, and that your Christian faith is patriarchal and
needs to be dismantled.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
That's extreme.

Speaker 2 (05:12):
They're the people like Democrat congressional nominee Daria Eliza Chevalier,
who tweeted, quote, I forgot to get napkins, so I
just wiped my hand on the American flag behind me.
And later said, quote, this country is a effing disgrace.

Speaker 1 (05:39):
That's extreme.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
There are people like Democrat congressional nominee Flair Valdez, who
described American foreign policy as one of, quote, white supremacy,
and capitalist exploitation.

Speaker 1 (05:54):
That's extreme.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
And here in Texas we have James, God is non-binary,
there are six genders, we need to dismantle capitalism, Tallarico.
It's somebody who will hollow out your most deeply held
Christian faith.

Speaker 1 (06:17):
And wear it like a skin suit. That's extreme. And
now as we near.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
The 25th anniversary of 9-11, Democrats are nominating Abdulrahman Mohammed El-Sayed,
an extremist who sympathized with terrorists and who campaigned with
a man who says.

Speaker 1 (06:39):
America deserved 9-11.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
That's extreme and deplorable. Now, we have to admit that
every party has their crazies. The difference is that the
Democrat Party is nominating theirs for Congress.

Speaker 1 (07:05):
It's true. This is a question that faces America. Which
direction do you want to go? In past elections, we've
talked about Moving over to the middle of the lane
or the side of the lane. Now we're talking about
a direction of going that is contrary to everything we've

(07:26):
ever held true. And this isn't just coming from me.
When John Fetterman, a Democrat, does the introduction for McCormick
last night, the other Pennsylvania senator, and talks about the
steel mill behind him and President Trump supporting that, there
are Democrats, not many, who are stepping up and saying,
if we don't stand up boldly and speak out about

(07:50):
the takeover of our party, it's not only going to
be bad for our party, it's going to be bad
for our country. But politicians are very rarely leaders. You've
heard me say this. Politicians are typically not leaders. They
don't get out in front of the parade to start.
They stand to the side until they figure out there's

(08:11):
a crowd and which way it's going. Politicians don't control
the direction of the party. That's for George Soros. That's
for the big money boys. Tallarico didn't come up with
all this stuff on his own. You do understand. The
Michael Berry Show.

Speaker 2 (08:23):
The Michael Berry Show.

Speaker 1 (08:29):
Ramon, let's open the phone line, shall we? 713-999-1000. 713-999-1000.
I got some emails from folks saying, why did Trump
insult Ken Paxton? First of all, Trump is all in

(08:50):
on Ken Paxton. The Trump MAGA pack is pushing their
chips to the middle of the table as is Elon
Musk's pack. So for those of you who keep asking me,
how come they're not on TV? Why do you need
them to be on TV? Let's break this down. People
get confused over this. Let me explain it in as

(09:12):
simple of terms and hopefully save you a lot of
anguish that you're wasting time on. He needs to be
on TV. Why? Because his message needs to get to
a broad number of people, right? And you want him
to do that, right? His new spots are available on
my page, on his page, on the internet, right? Why

(09:36):
don't you, for free, help him get those spots out?
And if everybody did that, that would be bigger than
the footprint of broadcast TV. Or do you just want
to sit back and go, hey, y'all do more, okay?
Y'all need to do some more, okay? I don't really
understand what's going on, but I'd like to suggest some changes, okay?

(09:58):
But you won't repost. anything. You won't post anything. I'm
just one little person. Yeah. Every little person counts. You
have a Venn diagram that includes some Democrats, some moderates.
But what you don't want to do is you don't
want to piss off your sister-in-law. Because she's a bully
liberal and you're scared to death of her. And you
know if you post anything, she's going to go, he's icky,

(10:20):
he's gross, he's ugly, he's nasty, he's corrupt, he's awful,
he's horrible. What about this? Look at this. Look at this.
And you don't know how to deal with that. That's
what it comes down to. Everybody's got that angry cat lady,
short haircut, butch, Subaru driving sister-in-law who bullies your brother

(10:40):
and And frankly scares the death out of you and
your parents, but everybody's gotta be nice because we still
want to keep good relations with our brother. And you're
scared to death that she'll pounce. So you sit quietly
and send me an email and go, Hey, Michael, get
these people to do stuff over here. Cause you don't
want to do it. Well, not exactly a Sentinel of
the Republic. Now are we? I really like Trump though.

(11:02):
You like Trump for doing what you won't do. Why
don't we all stand up? Mary Talley Bowden yesterday. finalized
her settlement with Methodist Hospital. She had to pay him
$ 166, 000 for supposedly defaming them. I haven't found anything she
said that wasn't true. And all the while, last night,
Eitan Haim was speaking, and this is the guy who

(11:27):
was at Children's Hospital, Texas Children's Hospital, where he exposed
the fact that they were butchering kids for life, little kids,
little kids, were having their entire reproductive system removed and
being juiced with hormones and, what's the word I'm thinking of,

(11:49):
and protested that they weren't doing it. And he exposed
with the medical records, yeah, they were. They tried to
put him in prison for that. And he said, this
is how delicate the balance is here, folks. When this
thing turns, it turns. There's a town in Michigan that
was like 8% Muslim. And then it was 20% Muslim.

(12:11):
And today it's 48, it's 58% Muslim, but long before
it was 50% Muslim, they started putting people on the
city council and then eventually the mayor and then the
mayor and the entire council were Muslim. And suddenly this
socially liberal city that was so eager to embrace their
new Muslim neighbors who were only a small percentage of

(12:32):
the population. The rainbow flag started coming down. We don't
want that gay stuff around here now that we're in charge.
But remember, we put you there. Yeah, we don't like you.
And so the gays came down to the city council.
Starts with an H, like Hagenack or something. So the
gays came down to the city council, and they screamed

(12:52):
them out of there. Get out of there. Get out
of here. We're not putting the rainbow flags up. We
don't do that. And all of a sudden, the open-minded
gays who thought the Christians were their enemy who allowed
them to prance around for years, realized all of a
sudden you are a child. You are a child. You
are the college freshmen who decides he's going to go

(13:12):
live amongst the homeless for a week and see what
it's like because they're being wronged and never makes it
out alive. You are a child and it's time you
understand that. It's time you grow a little bit of
a spine. So we turned to Ken Paxton and the
election just turned. The campaign just turned dramatically. Tallarico was

(13:34):
in trouble. All the things he said were finally being exposed.
And so his borrowed boots and rented truck and the
ads that California paid for, eventually people started asking questions. Hey,
my right-wing crazy Christian neighbor, the secretary at the office
or accounts receivable at the office, she said that God

(13:57):
is non-binary is something that Tallarico said. And she said
that he said that he's going to dismantle capitalism. There's
no way, right? So they quietly went and looked it
up because she's crazy. She's always talking about Trump. She's nutty. Oh,
he did say that. Oh, there's the video. Oh, that's
him saying it. Oh, wow. Okay, that's him talking about

(14:18):
transitioning kids. That's him talking about coming after my guns.
That's him talking about dismantling capitalism. That's him talking about
there being six genders. That's him doing an interview with
a tranny dude, girl, rainbow flag, I hate Christianity. That
dude's a freak. Oh, God, I can't tell her that.
She was right and I was wrong again. Now what

(14:40):
do I do? Well, hell. And that's where we are, see?
And now that's affecting their internal polls. Remember, campaigns are
polling every day. They know where they are. So when
a poll is released, that's because they're ready to skew
the numbers. When they all of a sudden do an
interview with the other side that they weren't willing to

(15:02):
do before, that's because they're in trouble. His numbers were moving.
Everything in polling when you do daily polling is trend lines.
So if you were up 70-30 and the next day
you're up 65-35 and the next day you're up 60-40,
the general public will go, what are you worried about?
You're up 60-40. They know the trend is moving the
wrong direction. It will continue that way. And he knew

(15:23):
he was in trouble. His campaign knew he was in trouble,
should I say. He's a puppet. He's not in charge
of this. They realized he was in trouble, so they said,
we got to staunch the bleeding. So they send him
out to Fox News, which hasn't been very hard on him.
We got to go out and talk to the normies.
We got to get the moderate Republicans. We got to
get the Housewives. We got to get the Republican wives.
We've lost their husbands, but we might get some of

(15:45):
them to quietly vote for us. And they went in,
and Fox actually, to their credit, even NBC, asked the question.
How do you answer questions like, is God non-binary? Oh,
I was just being provocative. Oh, okay. What are you,
a kid? Hey, son, why'd you do this? I'm sorry, Dad.
I was just being provocative. Why are you wearing makeup?

(16:08):
The Michael Barry Show. I have been asked by some
folks why I believe that Paxton would win. I'm not
Mattress Mac. I don't have the insight into horse racing

(16:28):
that he does. I was at the Kentucky Derby with
him my first and only time to go. Trump was
in the suite about 50 feet away. I don't know
that it matters, 75 feet away. It was pretty cool.
Nobody really bothered him. Jordan Peterson came into our suite.
Mac's treated like a king of the Kentucky Derby. I

(16:50):
mean a king. because he places the largest bet every year.
And that year he had placed his biggest bet. And
those of you who know horse racing terms are going
to realize I don't, and I admit that. So I'm
going to get this wrong, but his, his biggest bet

(17:11):
was on these three particular horses to place in the
top three. I don't know if that's a trifecta. Let
me not even try to guess what it, what it's called.
Cause I'm going to get it wrong. Okay. These three
horses for the top three. And it wasn't what were
ranked the top three horses for the race. It was

(17:32):
a little bit of a stretch, which meant it paid
big time. I think he would stand to gain $ 14 million.
And he got it exactly right. Those three horses came
in the top three. Of all, let's say there's 80 horses.

(17:53):
I don't know how many horses there are running, but
whatever the number is. That number minus one, they did.
But there was a horse that wasn't even supposed to run.
And apparently this was, if not the most anomalous Kentucky
Derby in all of history, the second most. This has
never happened. This horse that nobody even knows comes in

(18:19):
and wins the damn thing. throwing off his 1-2-3 to
2-3-4 because who's going to bet on that stupid horse?
And it happened. But horse racing is an interesting thing
because it's an analogy that is used in sports a lot.
I don't know why Tom Brady was a winner. You

(18:40):
could give Belichick all the credit. He certainly deserves a
great deal of it, if not the majority of it.
But Tom Brady... wasn't even the full-time starting quarterback at
his own college, granted it was Michigan, at his own college.
He wasn't brought in to be a winner. When he
tells Bob Kraft, the owner of the Patriots, I'm Tom Brady,
you drafted me, it's the best decision you've ever made,

(19:02):
and Brady chuckles. I mean, and Kraft chuckles. Kid, you
got a lot of moxie. You got a lot of moxie.
Turned out to be. Turned out to be. There are
certain horses that win. There are certain horses people who win.
They do. And you go, well, things have changed. No,

(19:23):
I've been around elections for a long time. You're getting
duped by people who want him to lose. That doesn't
make it so. Paxton won in 2014. He won in 2018.
He won in 2022. Now, You might say, well, that

(19:47):
was different. It's not as different as you think. In 2022,
Paxton was up against George W. Bush. And that was when,
if you remember, they had put Eva Guzman in the race.

(20:09):
And Eva's job was to pull votes away from the
non-Bush crowd. So you have the Bush crowd in Texas
and the non-Bush crowd. And the idea was we're going
to split that vote. And they poured a fortune into
Eva's campaign. And that was when little George P., who

(20:32):
had been groomed, this is Jeb's son, they've groomed him.
Rove is running everything and the cash is pouring in
and he's going to be attorney general and then he's
going to be governor and then he's going to be president. Ah,
the Bush wet dream and all the little Bushies out
there were celebrating. We got us a farm team. This
is the same George P. Bush who had said when
he ran for office the first time for land commissioner,

(20:56):
they said, why are you running for land commissioner? He said, well,
before that, he said, I'm going to run for office.
I just have to figure out which one. What? What?
So you just pick and choose? Because he had to
be in an office to start getting all the, oh,
there's a new, here we go, Vanity Fair. There's a
new Bush on the horizon. Just as when Hunter Biden's,

(21:17):
the profile, the glowing profile of Hunter, he's left politics,
not that he ever was, but he was the bag man.
And he's now a painter in a rented home in Montecito, California,
or wherever it was. He's a painter now. And there
he was with his white cotton pants rolled up in

(21:39):
his bare feet out in painting. He's Picasso all of
a sudden. Look at him in this pastoral scene. Look
at the American Renoir. It's Hunter Biden. Isn't this a
beautiful picture? Well, that piece had to be placed so

(22:00):
that three months later when they announced, oh, Hunter Biden's
making $ 10, $ 20, $ 30 million a year selling his art.
His what? Oh, oh, I remember. Yeah, he's a painter now.
Now we find out from the woman who was actually
painting the trash finger paintings that he was doing that
they actually hired for $ 50 an hour a an art student,

(22:22):
to paint that stuff. They just had to have something
they could sell and get paid a bunch of money,
and that's how they ran money through there. But that's
why they do all these things, right? So the crowd,
the Karl Rove crowd, who hates, hates, hates. Karl Rove
is evil, by the way. He is the problem. They've

(22:43):
been coming after Paxton. The biggest big money Texas donors
have been coming after Paxton. All Paxton has is your support.
And guess what? That's all it takes to win. The
Michael Berry Show. 1981 that film was. I remember being

(23:04):
blown away. It's not rare that you are moved by
a movie. But I was moved. It's amazing how many
old movies that were already old when I was a
kid moved me as a child. Yul Brynner in The

(23:26):
King and I, my goodness, Mr. Clean was good. You
think Ben-Hur? When Charlton Heston raised his hand and said,
from my cold, dead fingers, I was like, man, that's Moses.
That wasn't Charlton Heston? What? What? No, I didn't say

(23:50):
he did it during the movie, you jackass. Please don't
interrupt me while I'm trying to pay tribute to Charlton Heston.
I'll tell you this. Bet on a winner. Bet on
a winner. In team sports, a winner can't always, the

(24:11):
bigger the team, football would be a great example. You've
had some great quarterbacks who had difficulty getting their team
to the Super Bowl and to a win. Because there
are too many moving parts. I think Michael Jordan affected
the court more than any single player. And I don't

(24:32):
just mean with shots, defense, rebounding, passing. Because there are
players who have done that. I think he willed his team.
And Phil deserves a lot of credit for that as well.
A lot of credit. But Michael Jordan willed his team
to victory in a way that only a Bill Russell

(24:57):
or Larry Bird or Magic Johnson could do. Paxton is
a winner. And the reason he's a winner is very
hard for the media and the establishment to understand. It's
very hard for them to understand. You intuitively understand it
even if you can't give voice to it. Paxton advocates,

(25:23):
and I don't just mean lip service, on issues that
actually matter to people. Going after Amazon slash Meta for
what they were doing to children, the juxtaposition of Paxton,
the people's lawyer, that's what the attorney general is, going
after Meta Billions of dollars they had to cough up.

(25:49):
He's the best attorney general in the country. That's a widely,
President Trump has said it, but a number of others
have said it. And everyone knows intuitively what Amazon has
done is wrong. Everyone knows that. And doing something about it.
Going after Big Pharma and OxyContin for the damage they've done.

(26:11):
If you've never seen what OxyContin did To a friend,
a family, a favorite entertainer, if you've never heard the
stories about lives destroyed and they knew what they were doing,
if I can recommend one thing that you go off
and listen to, I'll give you the name of it

(26:33):
when we go to break. There's a podcast about OxyContin.
It's about a 10-part podcast. And look, I realize everybody
wants to make the addict into a victim or the
criminal into a victim or the murderer into a victim
or the pedophile. And, you know, maybe this is just
good storytelling. But there's a guy who's not your typical

(26:54):
drug addict bank robber. But he has an accident playing
hockey out in the parking lot after work. And he's
put on a drug that he doesn't understand and he
doesn't understand what it does and he can't get off
of it. And eventually, he can't keep getting back to
where he needs to be. People think that people take

(27:15):
drugs because it feels good. No. They take drugs to
make it not feel bad. You're always chasing the high.
But the high is really avoiding the low. Once you
get hooked on it, it's not that you love it
so much. It's that you can't survive. You feel so
awful when you don't have it. It's the most powerful addiction.
He went after them for that. And he won. This

(27:40):
guy wins. He wins in court. He wins in politics
because he talks about things people care about. And by
the way, so does Tallarico. He's just on the satanic
side of it. So this is President Trump. Trump has
a manner like a football coach, like me, like Ramon.

(28:00):
This is how guys talk. We kid with each other.
In the middle of endorsing Paxton, he says he's a
sloppy dresser and he's not handsome. Which is true. That's true.
Do you want a model? Are you trying to cast
the main character in your movie? Or do you want
a guy that's going to go and vote the right way?

(28:21):
He's not a great dresser. He's kind of not presentable
in that sense. He's not handsome. He's not good looking.
He's not out of central casting. Is that important to you?
Because whether you advise it or not, to some people...
That is important to you. Let me ask you why.

(28:44):
If you're having a heart attack, and you have access
to the best heart surgeon, and he comes rolling in,
and he's got bed head, and he's fat, and he's ugly,
and his teeth are crooked, are you gonna, whoa! No,
because you understand the assignment. I need my heart done.

(29:05):
I need to be fixed. I need to know that
guy gets in there, and does stuff better than anybody else.
Wouldn't it be shallow of you to pick on the
basis of anything else? Isn't that really what DEI is
all about? Picking people to perform a task on the
basis of something other than how well they perform the task,

(29:27):
and yet they've looped you into it. The very people
who love DEI have looped you into DEI. They've looped
you into focusing on how he looks. Well, Michael, he
got a bad eye. He does. Actually, he doesn't. He
only has one eye. The other eye was gouged out
when he was a kid. Is that the reason he
can't be your senator? Is that the reason he can't

(29:50):
go to D.C. and fight against everything the Obama Democrats
are for? Because he lost his eye as a kid?
That's the basis? He can't help that. And that's what
we're going to judge him by? You don't like the
cut of his jib. He doesn't get his hair cut

(30:11):
at Tony and Guy or wherever. His suits aren't properly fitted.
That's what you effing care about? Your country is burning
and you're over fiddling, Nero, on how your senator looks?
You need him to look nice? Are you kidding me?
You need him to look nice? Seriously. You didn't think

(30:33):
that up on your own. They taught you that. Hey,
he's sloppy. So when Trump makes a joke about it,
he's telling you he likes the guy. He knows him well.
I wish Trump hadn't said that. Listen, Lindy, the literal,
he doesn't mean it. It's a joke. It's for fun.
He likes the guy.
