There's a feel good story out of Chema that has
made national news and I hope it ends well. I
think everybody's rooting for this story. There's a fellow named
Jordan Wilmore and he went nationally famous when he came

to the academy and become a law enforcement officer. So
everybody's rooting for Jordan. He's seven feet three inches tall.
I mean, we're talking Ralph Sampson tall. We're talking Yaoming

a custom patrol vehicle when he became an officer, because
you know, if you remember the Shack commercial he gets
it was at the Buick and there was enough headroom
for him. His uniforms have to be custom made. I

He is a black fella. He is a really tall fella,
and I think it's one of those cases where everybody
wants to see him succeed in this case succeed for
a lot of different reasons because it points to the

fact that most black people are not pro crime or
pro criminal. It points to the fact that almost every
white person is not a racist. We want a lawful,
orderly society where people feel safe and secure to live

their lives, to do their thing. And you're just rooting
for this guy because he's a big fella, and this
is not what you expect a big fellow to do.
I mean, when's the last time you saw a police
officer that was seven feet tall or more? But this

After not passing his state licensing exam the first time,
he refused to let one set back to define him
along the way. He even got some encouragement from a
fellow tall man, Shack, who promised him a custom patrol
vehicle when he graduated.

think it's much harder because in some odd, way people

be real short than it is for a. MAN i

is if you're, pregnant you can't drive because you can't

to have a men only grocery store because of all
these different things that women do at the grocery, store
and SO i, thought, that's, like it's a funny. Concept

women only grocery. Store and the interesting thing is men
were much more interested in having a men only grocery
store than women were in having a women only grocery.

Five the biggest challenge has always been the fact that
my wife is five. Too so when you talk about the,
cars there are annoyances. There and the last few cars
have been the ones with the memory. Seats and IF
i open up the truck door or the car door

and get, in but she has thrown her purse up
against the console too fast WHEN i hit the button
to start the, car it wants to move the seat
to her.

out of the car until she gets out AND.

just kind of takes over the driving and he stops
arguing about. It and it may be because she drove
him to his doctor's appointment where he's getting his eyes,
dilated and it just kind of naturally took over for.

a couple of drinks and we're out at dinner and

MEMORY i don't even stop to think about the fact
that the seat is way up and she she lifts,

you can push the pedals, out AND i guess that
was for short women or short men for that, matter
but where you can actually pull the pedals out because
she has to get right up on the steering wheel
for her feet to be able to, reach and it's

have to move the seat nearly as far. Up but

cadet chasing that dream. But the badge didn't come easy.
After not passing his state licensing exam the first time,
he refused to let one set back to define him
along the way. He even got some encouragement from a
fellow tall man, Shack, who promised him a custom patrol
vehicle when he graduated.

department for anyone who needs a little help.

And that's what Jordan hopes people remember, not the seven
foot three frame, but the heart behind the badge.

it's amazing if you're really sure, are really tall, how
that affects people's opinion of you, How it makes you
that much more memorable if you're outside sort of the norm,

notice unless you're knocking into. Them and little, people AND
i don't just mean midgets or dwarves or whatever term

a whole separate. EXPERIENCE i think it's a lot harder

think it's much harder because in some odd, way people
give more, respect on all honor to the really. Tall nobody, thinks,
wow you're a little bit short. One that's you should

be real short than it is for a. MAN i

is if you're, pregnant you can't drive because you can't
reach the pedals because your, belly big pregnant bellies in the.

and a half feet, tall you have to get help

to have a men only grocery store because of all
these different things that women do at the grocery, store

women only grocery. Store and the interesting thing is men
were much more interested in having a men only grocery
store than women were in having a women only grocery.

Five the biggest challenge has always been the fact that
my wife is five. Too so when you talk about the,
cars there are annoyances. There and the last few cars
have been the ones with the memory. Seats and IF
i open up the truck door or the car door

and get, in but she has thrown her purse up
against the console too fast WHEN i hit the button
to start the, car it wants to move the seat
to her.

front seat and my, mom five years younger than, him had,

driven and there is a point for a lot of older,
couples especially if she is younger than, him where she

him to his doctor's appointment where he's getting his eyes,

but where you can actually pull the pedals out because
she has to get right up on the steering wheel
